Experiencia positiva: Tried to use their drop in day to get my cat her rabies vac. They hand numbers out between 10am and 12noon. I showed at 9am and the line went around the building. Ended up at PetCo paying more but at least she is vaccinated. While their intentions are good, the need is still more than they can handle.

If only the state of Oregon could actually help out the way that these nonprofits do that would be amazing. Oregon government is absolutely pathetic when it comes to helping the General Public. Because I'm not homeless the state will not help with anything so it is nice to have programs like this that help

Experiencia negativa: Today one of the staff members violated me. She complimented my hair and then she reached for it. I said to her, “don’t touch me. Stop. I don’t like being touched.” And for some reason that wasn’t enough since she managed to get her grubby fingers on my braids. She apologized by saying she has issues controlling herself. I am currently undoing all of my braids because I am afraid of more micro-aggressions. The irony of seeing “black lives matter” on the door for donations and having my autonomy disregarded beyond those doors was enough to remind me of my place in this world. I know it means nothing to anyone, but I figured I’d say something since her actions have made me never want to braid my hair again. There was someone with hair that was brighter and more red than mine, ahead of me, but I guess since I’m black she felt like she was entitled to cop a feel.

The best part? # take your pet supplies and food their if you have outgrown stuff or you have a tragic fur baby loss..

Experiencia positiva: Got there at 5:00 in the morning for their enrollment and the line was already backed to the street. I understand there's limitations agency but there's no way I can stand or sit there for hours waiting to get in. We had to just leave. It'd be nice if they could do it by appointment or something instead of having to stand outside with your dogs. I think some people even camped out.

Experiencia fantástica: My rescued Guatemalan dog is my life. She saved my life literally and for that I'll do anything for her. PAWS treated me and my dog with dignity and respect even though financially I cannot afford veterinary Care. They are amazing and have helped my hero dog so much. I can sleep at night knowing that she's healthy and thriving.

Got oneot and then I'll have to get him fixed. They also provide food or toys or leashs,, harnesses and other things. The staff is really nice. Plus it's free or low cost. Goo Paws team!

They gave me clothes, food, leashes, harnesses, crates, veterinary care, and medicine. Recently, I lost my little shit-zu to severe illness. I couldn't stand to look at all his things in the house without him here. I knew what I needed to do to honor my little guy's memory. We packed up everything mentioned above and dropped it at their offices on NE 82nd just after the Halsey overpass. He received the best care possible at Dove Lewis. They did everything they could. In the end, we had to make the worst decision a fur parent can ever make. He passed in my arms. Please Donate to PAWS if you find yourself with an empty place on the couch and emptiness in your arms. It's the best way to let your fur baby live on thru helping others.

Whatever your pet is need of, they are sure to have...

Experiencia positiva: Love these people but have a small issue with the amount of food they give out now. They use to give out full bags and nowadays it's a small portion of a bag. It only lasts about a week for my Pup and it's hard to feed her the remaining 3 weeks without an income since you can only go once a month.

They have helped myself and so many other local people that have been worried about our animal care and needs. And PAW Team PDX is consistently and admirably a place where we can go for the care and the needs. My animals/pets/kids have never went without because of PAW Team and the people that contribute their time, money, energy and efforts to keep the doors open. I applaud and tip my hat to these individuals, businesses, entities that support their local communities and organizatikns, making animal welfare their concern. Way to go and keep up this selfless desire to give back and maintain/support animal life and integrity.

And the donuts and coffee and snacks for both human and fur babies really helped the long wait time for assistance. Really good experience and kindness. Experiencia positiva: They were taking aggressive and reactive dogs over any other pets. My poor pup was traumatized just standing in line waiting to maybe be seen just to have us sent packing due to being at there quota, we couldn't even leave though because this guy with his very aggressive dog kept walking in the same direction as us and he was barely able to keep his dog from attacking others. I'd be willing to go back but I think they should set up days for reactive dogs separately or have those individuals make appointments so others can be seen with out fear that they or there pet will be attacked.

Experiencia fantástica: The volunteers and workers at PAW are nicer than any vet clinic I have ever experienced. I tear up when i reslize all They have done for me and Beluga, my dog that is an adorable border collie/husky/ Alaska Malamute mix. I am living alone for the first time since my youth and and less than a month after my partner moved out, Beluga came into my life. I do harm reduction outreach and met a young man who was attempting to care for the dog (Beluga) while his original owner was dying in the hospital. Beluga’s newest care taker was living out of a pick up truck with his girlfriend and another dog already and left Beluga with me on a temporary basis. He didn’t come back for 3 days and when he did he broke into my apartment, made a plate of eggs, and fell asleep. Beluga refused to go with him and chose to stay with me. I still let him visit and am still curious to know if anyone on here may know the original owner of this dog. I’ve been caring for Beluga almost a year now and without PAW team I wouldn’t be able to give him the food, medicine, toys, and treats he deserves. Plus, his ear is now chipped, he was awarded a clean bill of health, gets monthly flea medicine chews, is registered with the county and updated on his shots. Thank you PAW team! Without your help, i wouldn’t have been able to afford to take care of Beluga. I am now employed part time and am excited to get involved more with PAW and help others know about the wonderful services and care they give to all our furry friends and their companion

They also have free events once a month or so that offer free shots, wellness check ups and microchiping! These people truly care!

Experiencia negativa: I find it very frustrating that the free clinic at the Blackberne center is only for their tenants and central city concern workers when it’s supposed to be first come first serve and the clinic was supposed to be open from 1 to 4 today. My son took the whole day off so he could get his cat looked at And they were already done helping people at 1:24 so 24 minutes of helping people and making black burn center and central city concern people a priority that’s not fair and that’s discrimination. That is how I feel. If you could think of a better free vet service I would go with that because this is ridiculous just because he’s not homeless or lives doesn’t live in the black burn center. He doesn’t get help . Wow, way to go in Portland keep catering to the homeless.
