Experiencia fantástica: Deciding to euthanize your pet is incredibly difficult. My sweet dog was diagnosed with a condition that gave her about 12 months to live - those 12 months being filled with vet visits and declining health. There is never a good time to make this decision, but I knew I did not want to see her suffer or pass away at home alone. I am grateful that BluePearl Pet Hospice has transparent pricing on its website. I did not want to have to wait for a response from other companies to see if the option was affordable. We chose an appointment in the afternoon, so we could have extra hours with our sweet girl. Cam called me a few hours after I made the appointment, since I noted my dog had an increased respiratory rate, she offered me an earlier appointment, which we did not take. Dr. Leigh-Anne arrived within the appointment window. She took time to explain the process and waited for us to be ready to move forward. Having to say I was ready for each injection was the most gut-wrenching part of the process. Dr. Leigh-Anne gave us privacy after our girl passed away and did not make us feel rushed to say our last goodbyes. I was able to carry my sweet girl to the car. I am grateful for the transparency, communication, professionalism, and compassion offered by BluePearl Pet Hospice during this emotional time.

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our cat in at 5AM on a Saturday after some urinary issues at home, and they were so understanding and helpful. They took amazing care of him over the 48 hours he spent with them. They gave us regular updates, and we were able to visit him any time. When we had to take him back briefly, they totally understood, got him cleaned up, and sent him back home with us without charging us again. I appreciate that they’re available without trying to push for unnecessary overnight stays. They really care about the animals and people they help, and it shows.

Experiencia positiva: My cat has a narrow pelvic canal and chronic constipation and is difficult to manage even on meds. She's been going through a more severe period and I needed to get her in for an enema in the middle of the night because she'd started barfing. It was nice to have another option besides Dove Lewis, which I haven't liked in the past but I did find Blue Pearl still very expensive for what was done. And the website gives you wrong information. I made an appointment online, then a confirmation message said that the clinic would call me when it was time for my cat to be seen. I waited. I waited. I texted them and found out I was supposed to come in and be triaged before the vet would see her. None of the info I received said that. The vet wasn't super helpful or nice. She wanted to hospitalize my cat to the tune of something like $4000 so she could be seen by the internist. Who has that kind of money for a vet visit? Not me, anyway, so I declined. I was happy they sent me home with pain meds, which no other vet has done for my cat since this whole thing began. Obstipation is painful. A regular enema was done, subcutaneous fluids, Serenia injection, pain medication and vet consult for $584. Another thing that wasn't great is that I could hear my cat screaming in the back as I sat in the waiting room. It's possible she does this at other places during her enemas, I'm just not in a place I can hear it. Probably not their fault but it did nothing to enhance the experience. Nothing much came out from the regular enema and they didn't offer to do a sedated one. I don't blame them for it not working but I am going to have to go to yet another urgent care vet today since my regular vet isn't open on weekends.

Experiencia fantástica: I was grateful for our cat to get referred to BluePearl by our regular veterinarian, when cat (recently adopted) was showing signs of FIP. At BluePearl she was able to get a quick assessment by a vet who has expertise in working with cats with FIP, diagnostic tests that took into account our cat's fragile condition, & a care plan that fit our cat's needs & our financial constraints. We were able to take our cat home with a 5 day supply of the med GS 441524, with the plan of giving it & watching for improvement or deterioration of her condition. Very fortunately, our cat started showing improvement in her appetite, alertness & activity within 24 hours, & is continuing to improve. We will continue following medical care for FIP with our regular vet, who can adjust the med dose prescription as our cat's weight stabilizes, & lab values improve. Our vet will also be able to consult with the vet at BluePearl if needed, for additional care adjustments, if needed. If someone has a cat with serious health issues needing urgent care, I would definitely recommend taking them to Blue Pearl.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog Phinney was staying with the in-laws in Portland when he started showing signs of vomiting, lethargic, wouldn’t eat, etc. Turns out he got into something and had a foreign body stuck in his intestines. He got amazing care at Blue Pearl- diagnosing the issue, carrying out the surgery, caring for him post-op until he could be released. The communication was amazing, 24/7 (his surgery was overnight) both with me over the phone and with the folks there in Portland he was released to. So thankful for them and reccomend them wholeheartedly!!!!!! He is on the mend now and will be okay because of them.

Experiencia negativa: This feedback is specifically regarding Dr. Darrick Yamaguchi. We want to note that the other BluePearl staff members we interacted with were kind and professional. While this may seem minor, Dr. Yamaguchi repeatedly referred to our dog and other animals in the hospital as “lil one” rather than using their names. In our experience with both regular and emergency veterinary care, it is standard practice to address pets by name. This felt impersonal during an already stressful situation. More concerning was Dr. Yamaguchi’s demeanor and communication. Throughout our interaction, he appeared increasingly irritated by our questions and concerns. While we were still asking questions in the exam room, he abruptly shut his computer, stood up, told us to make a decision, and left the room, slamming the door behind him. He returned shortly after and informed us that he was about to begin another procedure that would take some time, implying that we needed to decide immediately. When we expressed that we felt uncomfortable and that the treatment options had not been clearly explained, Dr. Yamaguchi stated that if it felt like he was pressuring us, it was because he was. Rather than helping us understand the options and implications for our dog’s care, he used time pressure as leverage to force a decision. This was particularly troubling given that he later acknowledged our dog was not in critical condition and did not necessarily require treatment at a critical emergency facility. Ultimately, we chose to transfer our dog to another emergency provider. During the transfer process, Dr. Yamaguchi appeared visibly frustrated and audibly sighed before making the call that he offered to make. We understand that emergency settings can be demanding and that providers may be under significant pressure. However, we have cared for multiple pets and have experienced both routine and emergency veterinary services, and we have never felt as dismissed, pressured, and disrespected as we did during this interaction. This experience left us feeling distressed and uncared for at a time when we were already vulnerable and worried about our pet. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve patient and client communication moving forward.

Kat, who was my office contact, was very kind when I made and then had to move up our appointment. Much beloved by the whole family, we had a sweet, young rescue cat. Experiencia fantástica: My cat was recently diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease, so we needed to transition to a specialty veterinarian. After doing extensive research, we chose Dr. Casey at this hospital and it was absolutely the right decision. Our experience has been exceptional. We’ve been coming in for routine bloodwork and ongoing testing, and every visit has been seamless. The staff especially our vet tech Danielle are all consistently kind, professional, and attentive. Pricing is fair and transparent, which I truly appreciate. Most importantly, my cat is doing significantly better under their care!! They are also an emergency hospital, which gives me tremendous peace of mind. If we ever face an urgent situation, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that her specialty care and emergency services are all under one roof. And as a thoughtful bonus their coffee machine makes an assortment of brewed coffee, which is a lovely touch during what can otherwise be stressful appointments.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat developed a total urinary blockage (which is a life threatening emergency) and of course, it occurred on a Saturday night, so the emergency room is the only option. I had used Blue Pearl on a previous occasion and was pleased with the care. They examined him immediately on arrival and started treatment. He spent 2 1/2 days there. I received regular updates and he was discharged in great shape. Was it expensive? Yes - but well worth the cost. He received the best possible care. Thank you. Blue Pearl!

Experiencia negativa: *again when i tried taking my dog away from this wicked facility— the “outpatient” care or the “transfer” was not discussed upon they day when they wanted 20k from us from the original 12k. it was straight to euthanization. i would not be this furious if this was the case. you’re practice is negligent and predatory.* If i could vote negative stars I would. Brought my dog who was actively dying in on a Friday around 5 was told i needed to pay them 12k up front to help my dog, offered impatient but stressed that my dog needed inpatient. I bit the bullet and trusted bc they kept reiterating he’d get the best care bc they were “specialist”. My dog was there for nearly seven days and was tortured. They called us on the day our 12k ran out and said they actually needed 20k. I was horrified and heartbroken. When asked to take him home they immediately asked if we could ask friends or family for money or crowd fund. The. when we said we couldn’t Dr. Trempala suggested EUTHANIZATION! I was heartbroken, mortified, disgusted by this practice! I decided to take my boy home against medical give and guess what! In two days at home he has gotten so much better than seven days and 12 k at Blue Pearl. They had prescribed him a mess of medication that actually interacted with each other making my puppy even more sick and terrible feeling than he already was. When ever he was there I asked them to please review what they were treating him with and I was met with vague information and condescending tone. I’m glad I didn’t listen to these incompetent vets advice and trusted my gut. my dog you wanted to euthanize is alive and thriving in half the tim he spent with you evil people. you should be ashamed of yourselves for offering care credit! 30 something percent after the first year,m. don’t even get me started on the absolutely unprofessional front desk person I had the disservice of interacting with in the late hours when trying to visit or see how my poor puppy was doing.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought our kitten in when she was really not well and we couldn't figure out what was wrong. She received gentle, professional care and everyone there treated me with compassion and clarity. After we brought her home we needed some help figuring out how to administer her medication and came back and received the most compassionate and supportive instruction and care from Marisa. We are so grateful. Our kitten is on her way to recovery -- and we are feeling very confident that they are doing everything they can to help us get the best possible outcome. Experiencia fantástica: I am trying to soothe a broken heart by trying to let others know about my experience with Blue Pearl. Their whole staff was amazing. My vet had called ahead for us and they greeted us by name and got my dog in for IV fluids and meds the moment we walked in the door. The staff is gentle and knowledgeable and kind. They helped us make the hardest compassionate decision to euthanize our darling pup (she was sick beyond recovery).

Experiencia fantástica: I took my cat here in the middle of the night when his kitty flu (herpes flare up) was rapidly worsening. He had seen other vets who instructed me to just "ride out the virus" and didn't do much for him. Finally, upon taking him to BluePearl, he received the thorough screening he needed all along and a proper plan for his care. He is eating and drinking water again and nowhere near in the severe state he was 24 hours ago. I could tell they genuinely cared and they didn't charge me ridiculous prices as some ERs do. While I hope such services aren't needed again, BluePearl will remain my emergency vet for as long as I live in Portland.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog experienced a life-threatening crisis (Addisonian Crisis complicated by another issue affecting her platelets). The team at BluePearl was absolutely incredible. The doctors kept us informed and gave us detailed information as the situation unfolded. Every member of the nursing team (especially Ray, Karina, Amelia) was gentle and loving with our dog throughout her stay. I could tell they genuinely cared about her as if she was their own. Experiencia positiva: I appreciate that this business exists and was able to get my cat in right away. I was a little frustrated with some preventable communication issues, I had to ask several times what the plan was, what things would cost, and I still had a surprise charge tacked onto my bill which I had not agreed to or been informed about. They did remove the surprise charge, which I appreciate. I had to wait in the crowded and chaotic waiting room almost two hours after my scheduled pick up time to get my cat back, I was ready to leave, he was ready to leave, and I'm not happy that his stressful day was extended because of organization and communication issues. I am not feeling very confident about my cat's aftercare plan, trying to figure out what to do next with the information I was given is overwhelming

Experiencia fantástica: Brought our 14 year old dog in after she spent the whole day throwing up and refusing to eat. Every member of the staff was so kind and communicative. We spent a total of 5 hours here but were comfortable the whole time and were given frequent updates about when we’d be seen and when test results would be back so it didn’t feel too daunting. Very communicative about cost, they are pricey but everything is done in house so there is little to no wait for test and imaging results, and for immediate care it’s worth it! Thank you for taking such great care of my girl, even though she ended up just being full of gas!

A young man assisted me with filling out the forms because I was so emotional at the time. Experiencia negativa: If you have a true emergency this hospital is an ok option, but it's expensive. Brought my dog for a hind leg skin infection, swollen and red, they quoted me over $1700 and made me feel like my dog was in dire risk of imminent death, which was not the case. I took him to my vet a day later and they performed the same services for $300. I get that emergency services are more expensive but this place is astronomical.

Experiencia fantástica: Our sweet elderly husky recently had a slip and fall in the middle of the night that made him unable to walk, and we were really scared. BluePearl was able to see him quickly, and the whole staff was incredible. The front desk was clear and thorough about charges (which were actually a lot less than I expected based on other emergency vet experiences in the past). The support staff were positive and helpful as our dog was anxious and in a lot of pain. The vet spent a lot of time helping us understand what was going on, our options to move forward, and how we could help our pup. She also answered all of our questions, and was incredibly compassionate. They immediately were able to help our pup get out of pain, and stay out of pain, and he's doing wonderfully as he recovers! Experiencia fantástica: Yes, I had a long wait. But my cat was made comfortable and her problem was definitely less urgent than several that came while I waited. The staff there were great. Nice, thoughtful and very competent. The doctor and assistant explained everything and I was confident Bibsy was getting the best care. I have been to other emergency vet hospitals - none of them as good overall as BluePearl. And the cost was a bit less than I had feared it would be.

Experiencia fantástica: Was referred here because our pet had severe ulcerated eye. They took her immediately checked her out came back to us to discuss our options. Because eye ball was close to bursting we choose to have it removed. They kept in contact with us through the late evening and minutes before surgery let us know she was going in. At almost 2 AM she had surgery. We were called when she went to recovery and again when awake and told how it went. They treated her and us like royalty. In this serious situation they were kind and loving to Peaches and us. This picture is 20 hours after surgery and she is still doing great.

Experiencia fantástica: My pet swallowed a part of a c-pap mask. We were seen quickly. Vet and staff were all very nice, always calm and reassuring. Vet was able to induce vomiting, and pet successfully regurgitated the (thankfully unchewed!) plastic part. Service charge was reasonable (approx $550), certainly way less expensive than surgery would have been to remove a piece of plastic blocking the digestive tract ($8000 +/-). Thank you Blue Pearl!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog who was having nausea issues on Wednesday night this past week. It was busy and it was a dog night from what I saw and heard. The staff were all courteous and helped me out anytime I had a question. They even got Zeus (my dog) a blanket after taking his vitals, to help him settle down a little more. By the time we got back into an exam room after a couple hours (pet ERs are just like human ERs and they warn you about it ahead of time), Zeus was falling asleep on the couch they had in the room between visits. All and all, they were able to get Zeus the care he needed and make him feel as comfortable as they could. They also gave me, the human, the rundown of the options it could be, as well as various plans of action we could take. And if that wasn't enough, when I went to leave, my car battery had died, and my little jump battery I keep in my car was also dead. Thankfully, Corri, the receptionist, as well as their security guard Neil and their cleaner Geraldo were all able to find a way to get my car jumped and get us on our way. With how panicked and worried I was when I head out, I was grateful for everything, and BluePearl will definitely be a place that will hold less fear for me next time one of my pets has an issue. Experiencia fantástica: I brought my cat Mr. Little‘s in on New Year’s Eve in the day for blockage in his urinary track. He ended up having emergency surgery… They were very fast to attending to him and had great communication with me every step of the way… I highly recommend BluePearl they are open 365 days a year 24/7 which is really great… It wasn’t cheap but this kind of care never is and we choose to have pets and we have to take care of them. I do think it’s just the way that USA is with healthcare and any kind of care ... It’s just expensive always and that sucks .... They have care credit, which is a good option for the first year if you opt out to do that with no interest it’s just gonna make a huge bill every month what are you going to do… But again I was very pleased by BluePearl and would use them again 100% thank you so much for taking care of Mr. Littles

Experiencia negativa: I unfortunately was advised from a different Dog Hospital (Banfield) that I had to come here to get answers for my pup who was sadly sick at the time. The previous hospital did x-rays blood work and advised they did not have the hands to see what is killing my pup. They had me come here urgently because Blue Pearl “has the staff and knowledge”. The staff here is very nice however they did not provide me any answers. Instead, the only solution was to spend thousands to get an answer, not including treatment. When I left with antibiotics for my pup, I hoped would help in someway however I had to return to the other pet hospital to get answers or put my dog to rest. The other Hospital advise. they kept trying to contact blue Pearl for results from our ER visit, blue Pearl did not send any of the records! They were taking forever and they were not providing us any answers as to why they have not sent the records that potentially could’ve given us at least answers to what was killing my dog. A huge disappointment and if I’m honest a waste of money here. I would never come here again and would never recommend.

Experiencia negativa: It was about two years ago we went in because my dog was excessively licking around his rectum and showing signs of discomfort. Large bill for tests and taking a look at him. Fleas is the diagnosis. However there was zero evidence of fleas I could see and so got a second opinion. Ended up he just needed his glands expressed. Luckily this wasn’t any major illness but how far off is the diagnosis when the patient is exhibiting very typical symptoms and reaction of glands issues issue, doesn’t have a single flea on his body but you’re being told ‘trust me bro.’ If I can’t trust a hospital with something this simple why would I trust them with anything major?

Experiencia negativa: Friend took dog in showing signs of allergic reaction or poisoning. THC overdose was diagnosis without test results to back it up. Not possible dog didn't have access to any kind of Marijuana or considerate. Benadryl was prescribed, more than twice as much as what his mother received. She went through same thing only 3 weeks ago and she is bigger. Her diagnosis was anaflaxus possibly from a bug bite or sting. We will not be returning to this hospital again.

Experiencia fantástica: Blue Pearl is the best 24/7 Pet ER in Portland. I haven’t used any payment plans there so I can’t speak on how that part is since I was lucky to have extra cash at the time but I love that they give prescriptions right then and there and helped my baby who has epilepsy. It’s also faster than other ER like dove lewis which usually has so many people waiting and Blue Pearl answers their phone at all hours.

Experiencia fantástica: It's been almost 3 weeks since we lost our sweet Great Dane, Green Bean. It was a Sunday and we knew it was time to let him go. I had no idea who to call for an in-home euthanasia. Somehow through the sadness and tears I found Blue Pearl Pet Hospice. I contacted them and they dispatched a vet to our house. Dr. Leigh-Ann Lariviere arrived and I felt immediately comforted by her. She was very respectful and kind. She explained what she was doing with during the process and was very gentle. I had been opposed to doing his euthanasia at our house, but, I'm so glad it turned out that way. He passed peacefully in his favorite spot, on our bed with my husband and I loving him. Experiencia negativa: Took my dog in for an emergency. Vet came to talk to us. Told us price, medical problem, procedure, and time frame. Waited over 3 hours for the visit to happen. In an emergency situation 3 hours is typical. Vet and tech told us a procedure would take a couple hours. Go on home and they could call us if we liked when the procedure was done. I came back after 3 hours and they tell me they have not even started the procedure and they will be starting soon. So wait you tell me a couple hours after you take my dog back and I come get her I’ve waiting over 6 hours already and it hasn’t even started. This place will never get my money. This place needs to learn to communicate better.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat Moosie spent 48 hours inpatient with Blue Pearl and we were very satisfied with the care she received. ALL of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing timely updates on her doing her stay. The price while expensive, seemed more than fair considering that they are a 24 hr emergency hospital. They were very transparent with the costs and provided clear risks and benefits of their treatment plans. She is home now and back to her normal self. Thank you again to the receptionsts, vet techs, and veterinarians, that helped us.

Experiencia negativa: When we called about our puppy who was throwing up and had diarrhea, the first thing the staff focused on was money, not our puppy’s condition. They immediately started talking about costs and financing options, which felt frustrating when we were worried and just trying to get help. Because our puppy only had one vaccination, they said we’d have to wait in the car while they came out to run a test before deciding if he could even be seen. They quoted around $380 just for that initial test, and mentioned the total would likely increase from there. We decided to call another emergency animal hospital, and the difference was night and day. The second place’s first question was how our puppy was doing, not how we were going to pay. They told us to bring him in right away, and when we arrived, they took him in immediately, gave us a room, and showed real care and compassion — and the cost was much more reasonable too. If you’re ever in an emergency with your pet, I highly recommend calling 2–3 hospitals first to compare how they treat you and your pet before deciding where to go. Compassion and clear communication make a huge difference during a stressful time.

Experiencia fantástica: Come here!!! I brought my dog, Duke, to this specialty clinic after a different specialist at DoveLewis was way too expensive and refused to work cordially with my Vet. The difference here was huge. Everyone was friendly, kind, and super helpful, and they truly cared about my dog. I have Banfield insurance, and it covered my consultation, which made the visit affordable. The veterinarian was very upfront about all costs, including future checkups and any tests or meds, so I knew exactly what to expect and can plan for visits every three to four months. They also coordinated with my Banfield vet, which made everything simple. At DoveLewis, my first visit cost me over $4,000 and there was no affordable way to keep up with their expensive follow up costs. A lot of future costs were not mentioned there, which made it hard to continue care. The initial visit at DoveLewis drained me of my savings so I was so worried I wasn’t going to be able to do any more testing my dog would need unless I went into debt. Thank goodness for BluePearl here, I can actually afford ongoing care, and I feel so much better about Duke’s health. If you need a specialty team for your pet, come here. They are friendly, they work with your veterinarian, and they make long term care realistic. Highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: My five year old french bulldog, Molly, came in with a bruise on her abdomen that doubled in size in 24 hours. Triage was fast despite the busy weekend crowd and they ended up taking her back within two hours after she was deemed stable. I saw them triage every pet they came in and take more severe cases back quickly. In Molly's case, she ended up having to stay overnight for blood transfusions and monitoring. Staff were extremely nice while I navigated this emotional rollercoaster, explaining and re-explaining the plan they recommended, answering questions I had, etc. They let me say goodnight to Molly and bring in food, her daily medication, and a blanket from home so she was more comfortable. I called a few times throughout the night and next day to check in on how she was doing and staff were incredible in putting both me and her at ease. All the vets who handled her case were very nice and explained the process well. For price* - Something to note, you do have to pay a deposit for the care plan ahead of treatment that covers the at-most price, but in the end I got a refund for what they didn't need to do. Staff were transparent on the price throughout before I was expected to pay, they also told me what they *needed* to do for Molly that night versus what more they recommended she get done (i.e. further testing that I could have opted out of). *** I recommend everyone get pet insurance for their pets if they can swing it! I am very grateful to have it and staff were great about giving me the necessary records I need to submit for reimbursement. I am so grateful to BluePearl staff for helping Molly! Unfortunately I've been to quite a few emergency vets over the years and I hope I never have to go back, but if I do, I would choose them in a heartbeat. I would recommend BluePearl to everyone in the area!

Experiencia fantástica: We had to bring my boyfriends dog in after a very awful accident. The Dr was amazing and you could tell that she genuinely cared and did her best to help us. Sadly we ended up having to come back 2 days later and the situation was much worse for our boy!! Harley fought hard and was still giving his all up to the very last moment. The doctor was very compassionate and was the absolute most helpful vet I have ever experienced in my life with any of the pets I have ever had. She explained everything to us in a compassionate manner and understood our heartache. She sat on the floor with my son and helped pick out everything for Harleys cremation and his forever box. In my opinion we could not have had anyone better with us during that hard time. She walked us through every step of the process of sending our boy across the rainbow bridge and easing his pain and suffering. If you ever have to choose where to go for any of your veterinary need for your fur baby hands down the best place to go is to blue pearl. Experiencia fantástica: With a little help from the poison control hotline, Dr. Miller and the amazing vet techs and staff at Blue Pearl saved my dog’s life today. I’m so incredibly grateful! My pup ate some rat poison that mysteriously appeared in our yard overnight. I pulled most of it out of his mouth, but he ingested some, as we found out later after the emetic. Blue Pearl treated my sweet boy for all three toxins he may have been exposed to. A hefty price tag for our day, but all vet care is expensive these days, and it’s so worth it! I’m so thankful to have Archie back home safe and sound.

Experiencia fantástica: BluePearls staff really does care. They care about you, your time and most importantly, your pet. Unfortunately for us, in the past month, we have had two emergency situations with our cat, Cowboy…we ended up at BluePearl the first time around because they were the only ones who had the space, time and the equipment needed. When the first incident occurred, it was actually our wedding night…the staff were so extremely kind. They worked with gusto, not just on our pet, but on all the other pets that were in the waiting room as well. Their gentleness and compassion when approaching conversations about euthanasia, injuries, etc-unmatched. At the first visit, we explained that we would have some financial difficulties affording the treatment plan. Immediately, the staff brainstormed and made it possible for us to take our cat home with antibiotics, pain meds and everything else he would need for a recovery at home. No shaming, no guilting, just “we understand. Let’s see what we can do” Annie and Rebecca-Thank you. Unfortunately, the same incident occurred yesterday and our first call was BluePearl… we explained to them that our cat had been seen there a couple weeks prior and asked if he could be seen again and have the same treatment plan as last time. They gladly made time for us. They were extremely kind to cowboy and to us. They tended to his wounds, gave and told us everything we would need, gave cowboy love and care and most importantly-treated us with kindness and compassion. Again, I just cannot stress enough how amazing the staff is here. You can tell they really care. They all work very effectively and quickly as well (Still taking the extra time to go the extra mile). Both times we were there, we were there about five hours. To all the staff at BluePearl, thank you x10000 for helping my boy!! Know that we are sending virtual hugs (cowboy too)

Experiencia fantástica: I went there just before midnight and they were full and on divert with a long wait. You would think this means it would be hectic but everyone was very calm and nice and the environment was soothing and really clean. They were really helpful and triaged my dog right away since he qualified as emergent. Once he was deemed stable they made recommendations for what to do next and were very calm and kind. This was over in 15 min or less, including me checking in my paperwork and my dog getting weighed and evaled for stability and next steps. Thank you

She was clear, friendly, professional, compassionate, and kind about what was happening/happened to our dog, & also the various treatment options, Potential out comes, how the drugs work etc.she also did A written report for us to take home with all the details and answers to questions. Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately had two separate visits with blue pearl all at emergency hours. The first was when our puppy was having such severe gi issues that he was passing out. We didn’t know what it was exactly at the time. While waiting outside in our car for his parvo test, he went unstable. I ran in and told them they needed to take him now because he’s unresponsive, totally panicked because it was my moms dog and she had lost her last one to a sudden passing in the vet lobby (not at this clinic). They immediately gowned up and came out and took him back. By the time we got out there he was awake again and I apologized for my panic. They were so kind and understanding and still took him back right away. The second time was when our cat was attacked by dogs. I wasn’t there to take him but was there to pick him up. The staff here is so compassionate, patient, and understanding. They will answer every question and do the best they can to accommodate different financial situations. When it’s 2am, there aren’t many choices out there but I’m so glad this clinic is one of them. Both animals made a full recovery.

Experiencia fantástica: This place IS expensive, but typically will triage pet right away and see them much faster than other options in the area. I’ve had multiple emergencies and the staff have been great to work with, and have even supported me in transferring my pet to another emergency vet that was less expensive and had space when he needed overnight observation - they called, organized everything, I didn’t have to do anything. It makes such a big difference when you’re going through something as stressful as a pet medical emergency to have knowledgeable, caring people to help you. Really grateful for the people who do this difficult work, and appreciate that Blue Pearl is an option.

Experiencia fantástica: Outstanding service a support for me when I couldn't support myself. My little soul chihuahua fell on her eye on the pavement from 2' up when we got her out of the car and I couldn't even function and while the wait times are extremely long, they called us back fairly quick and took exceptional care of her. Experiencia negativa: Came in 9/28 because my dog was throwing up all her food, could not keep anything down. She was discharged with fluids and an anti nausea shot and instructions to fast for 12 hours. And yes, they do require you to pay before they let you even see your pet again. I woke up this morning to her vomiting again even though she hadn’t eaten (not their fault, I’ll get to that), so I gave them a call to let them know I would be coming back since the nausea meds should still be working. They said they would be ready for me when I got there. Checked in and triaged in the lobby, then was told they would be back with a blanket for her to sit on. This is when I noticed my baby had severe bloating in her stomach to the point it was solid, and she was drooling, shaking, and groaning. When she burped and vomited an hour into our wait, I went back to the desk to ask for a towel to clean up with and that’s when we finally got a blanket and puppy pad for her to throw up on. I notified them about the worsening symptoms and was simply told that “she does definitely look uncomfortable”. Obviously. Another hour had her in so much pain that she couldn’t lay down, and I told them that she was getting even worse. But a pugs watering eye and a minor allergic reaction was clearly more important. I was told that they would do another triage for her vitals which never came. Only another half hour later did someone come by and tell me that I was “next in line”. Another half hour passed with more pets being treated without even a side-eyed glance at my baby. I decided to leave at that point. Thank goodness I did, because when I went to DoveLewis (5⭐️) I was informed that she had gastric dilation and intestinal torsion, which needed to be treated immediately as it is a critical, life-threatening condition. She was seen immediately, and taken into surgery within the hour. Thank you DoveLewis for saving my dog’s life. Save your time with BluePearl and head there. Apparently my dog’s life-threatening condition wasn’t life-threatening enough for BluePearl. If I could give negative 5 stars I would.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough good things about the team at BluePearl Vet. I brought my cat in at the directions of my vet for presumed FIP. They took such amazing care of him throughout his entire stay there. I was able to come in and visit him was provided with in-depth updates of his care. He’s doing so much better now and I cannot be more thankful for everything BluePearl did for my kitty.

We very much appreciated the care Dr Klauss’ support staff took to welcome both us and Stella as they did her initial examination. Dr Klauss conducted a thorough examination and shared her findings with us in understandable layman’s terms. All in all our experience at Blue Pearl Pet Hospital was great!
