We needed a health certificate and were on a tight timeline, and their team provided prompt assistance from the moment we reached out. They were organized, responsive, and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The staff was kind, professional, and clearly experienced, taking the time to answer questions and ensure everything was completed correctly. I really appreciated how efficiently they handled the paperwork while still making us feel cared for as clients. Highly recommend them if you need timely, reliable veterinary services, especially for travel health certificates.

Experiencia positiva: A bit bummed as I was worried my cat ate something but turns out he was okay. Nothing was wrong but I was left with an enormous bill. Grateful that scratchpay exists but for nothing to be wrong almost $1000 is alt of money. Compared to my other experiences- dove Lewis didn’t even cost me that much. If you are poking for spaces that are affordable, I would not recommend Care and employees were very nice and lovely

Being located right in the neighborhood is incredibly convenient, and we have been consistently impressed by their high level of staffing and appointment availability. They have handled complicated procedures and surgeries for both Bert and Phineas with excellent care. Their pricing is very fair for the Portland area, and the medical outcomes have been great. A special thank you to Dr. Erickson for being so lovely and supportive throughout our visits. We highly recommend them to any local pet owners.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Torrey was so friendly and sweet, and she handled our new kitten so well, and was able to perform her exam really quickly, which both kitty and I appreciated! We've been coming to this location for about 30 years (it's of course changed hands over time), and it's still our no-brainer choice for help with our at least 10+ cats over time. Obviously veterinary care is a touchy subject for a lot of people, because it's not cheap by any means. But when we were there the other day, we weren't judged or put on a guilt trip for holding off on some of the things recommended in the treatment plan. That counts for so much!

Experiencia positiva: The front desk staff here are wonderful . They are always cheerful when greeting patients and their parents, whether it's first thing in the morning or end of shift! The clinic is always clean and smells fresh. PVWC is a great place to take your loved one!!!

They take time with your animals and really make sure you know ALL of your options for your pet. Glad I found this vet!

The whole staff was so great, the care, compassion and empathy they showed me and my baby was wonderful. They got him stabilized and i was able to take him home. He's so much better today. Experiencia fantástica: Such a great experience! My family and I just moved from out of state and needed to get my dog setup with care because of his disease. All the staff were welcoming to me and Theodore but special shoutout to the technician - I wish I could remember her name! She was so attentive and light-hearted. It made me feel very comfortable. Theodore is a very, very nervous dog and vet visits have been disappointing for years. He acted so differently here! At first he was his normal agitated self but after speaking with the doctor and walking through a plan for him he eased up and when they administered 2 shots he was amazing. They even gave me options to reduce our monthly expenses and require less visits to reduce his stress. Truly such an awesome team!

Experiencia fantástica: what can I say about PVWC? How many characters do I get? The staff are some of the most kind people I’ve ever met at any vet clinic. I’ve been taking my 3 (now senior) pets to PVWC for over 4 years and they are the only vet clinic I truly trust with the well-being of my kiddos (and the list of people I trust with my babies is short). We’ve seen different vets over the 4 years here, all have been amazing. The clinic is very understanding of financial burdens and do their best to work with me on my (never ending) bills (I have older kiddos who have health problems). Special shoutout to Dr. Erickson who always takes the time to explain things to me, without judgement; she’s very patient. Jay is absolutely amazing — truly such a lovely human — I’ve never not seen Jay with a real smile and warmth that you can feel as soon as you walk into the clinic. To further expand on the clinic’s kindness, my pitty (who was there to get sutures removed post cancer surgery) and it was her birthday so I brought cupcakes for the staff and my pitty wore her favorite tutu. The staff (many of whom know my pitty well as she’s there often for her various health issues), all came out from their busy clinic day to come wish her a happy 11th birthday and give her some pets and love (see the photo attached). if you are looking for a vet clinic that you can truly trust to take incredible care of your pet(s), look no further. I am forever grateful to PVWC for the care they provide to my pets (and to me as the parent).

Experiencia positiva: Super easy to book, lots of availability, awesome and responsive front desk staff and vet techs! Hit or miss with the vets. I've declined some services they recommend due to my own financial constraints and have felt some dishonesty because of that. It would be great to be able to openly discuss what patients can afford and then give options from there instead of shaming patients for not being able to spend endless money.

Cookie mama's Doctor was not in, but we did see a Doctor and they gave her some antibiotics and some pain medicine to relieve her pain. And the experience was very nice, very courteous and I will continue to go there and take cookie ma there. We appreciate them very much. Thank you and have a blessed day. The Dr spent so much time explaining the pros and cons of owning my breed of dog, I left with so much knowledge. I don't care if I had to travel from Alaska to take my dogs there it would be worth every mile! Expressive!!?!

Me and my toddler had to stay in the waiting room without our dog and without asking, one of the ladies at the counter brought my son a box of stickers and fidgets to keep him busy while we waited. He had been getting very antsy and that was much appreciated!

Experiencia negativa: The staff here are very caring and friendly but if you're on a budget this might not be the best place to go. They are expensive but worth it for my puppy. I took in both our dogs and had back to back appointments. It took 2 hours, kept taking one out to do different things like once to clip her nails, one to express her glands and then lastly to give her shots. It almost seemed like other animals were priority over ours. $800 for 2 dogs to get vaccinated and a few other things.

Jay and El at the front desk were super great explaining how I needed to pay and what my follow up steps were for getting my senior disabled kitty the help she needs. Dr. Erickson was super gentle and genuine with her care, she also explained everything very throughly for me so I know exactly what my baby needs. The whole team I could tell communicates well and works very hard together to provide.

Experiencia fantástica: I contacted over 10 animal hospitals before I found Portland Veterinary Wellness Center, and I’m so glad I did. From the very first call, Eleanor was incredibly helpful—she gave me clear information and helped me make an appointment quickly. When I arrived the next day, I was so touched to see my cat’s name, Chokchai, on the welcome board. All of the staff were kind and supportive, and Dr. Karen was especially wonderful. She truly cares and has gone above and beyond to help me, even checking the status of my cat’s health certificate over the weekend. Even though my English isn’t perfect, they were so patient and helped make sure we understood each other clearly. That really meant a lot to me. This is the right place for anyone who truly loves their pet. I felt like I found a team I could trust, and I’m so thankful for everything they’ve done.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve been going here for the past 6 years for both of my dogs. Overall, I recommend but do believe there are improvements that could be made. I do wish there was more warmth from the providers. The vet techs are great but there’s limited accessibility and warmth from the veterinarians. Additionally, conversations about payment can be weird - you can select and deselect from their menu of services based on your financial parameters. While I appreciate this to an extent, I wish this clinic offered more to help their patients and their guardians. You won’t get much fluff or frills here - just matter of fact services.

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely friendly staff, super fast at getting an appointment due to them having multiple veterinarians on hand, which was extremely convenient for my schedule. And they have Saturdays that they are open for people that cannot find time to go during the regular work week. They seemed extremely concerned with my sick dog and got him an ASAP and then transferred all of his information to the 24 hour emergency vet hospital to expedite him being admitted there. Definitely recommend at least giving them a shot.

Experiencia fantástica: I love Bridgetown! My first experience with them was in an emergency when I brought my unresponsive kitten in. They took him back immediately and worked so hard to save his life. They were able to stabilize him, but eventually his organs started shutting down and we put him to sleep. I work on the people side of medicine and you can just tell when someone really cares or is just doing their job. I honestly felt like if anyone could could save him it would have been Bridgetown. They were invested in his life as much as I was. After he passed they were absolutely amazing and considerate. There was just an outpouring of care that I feel really grateful for. Thank you Bridgetown for doing everything you could for Uno!

Dr.Schwartz is phenomenal, and gets a special shoutout, she and one of my dogs love one another SO much (the other is anxious at the vet regardless) the amount of heart she has can’t be measured. If you’re on the fence about changing your dog/pet care over- don’t be :)

Dr Duffy was wonderful, and the vet tech (I’m so sorry I forgot your name!) was so sweet. I can’t wait to bring my other cat here in April for his appointment. Having an office with staff you trust with your pets is huge, and it didn’t feel rushed and I was listened to. Having the large parking lot is also such a perk because carrying a howling cat blocks is really unpleasant for all. Thanks for your kindness!

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog who is highly anxious in for his annual check-up and he was not able to see his regular veterinarian. We saw Dr. Fowler who was absolutely amazing with my dog! She took the time to ask about his triggers, moved slow and cautiously, giving my dog time to acclimate to her. The vet tech Ray was also amazing, taking the time to work with my dog's needs, keeping him as comfortable as possible. I've been coming here for many years and this group of veterinarians seems to be the most cohesive bunch I've worked with as a pet owner.

Experiencia fantástica: I found this vet's office to diagnose and treat our geriatric cat's kidney disease. All of the professionals here I had the pleasure to work with have been knowledgeable, thorough, communicative, compassionate, and have given me options all along the way. Finally after Pigeon lost the battle, they were there for us too, to help with all of the arrangements. And when they sent us a card in the mail to express their condolences after all was said and done, I cried bittersweet tears. Thank you all for making the difficult experience of dealing with kidney disease in my beloved companion just a little bit easier.

Dr Flott was interested, concerned, gentle with my pet and provided some good feedback, suggestions and tests to get our fur baby feeling better. Office visit was fairly inexpensive for everything that was done - and the wait time to see the Dr. was minimal. All staff I encountered were very friendly and informative. I am happy to establish care here for our other kitty.

She is so kind & gentle with my one skittish dog, and fun & calming my other wild dog. I was walked through complicated medical concerns and referred to a specialist when needed, as this vet’s office seems to have a lot of good connections. Dr. Schwartz helped guide us through every issues we came to her with in such an understanding manner. Additionally, every vet tech I’ve had is amazing and treats my two very different dogs with exactly the right energy they need. I would 10/10 recommend this vet office!!

Every one was very nice and courteous and I didn’t feel rushed. I have been going there for over 20 years and I have to say this was the most comfortable visit. Thank you for your great service.

Experiencia negativa: Only one visit. Everyone I spoke to was very nice, however based on my exam experience, I will never go back. First, there was loud construction and lots of people hustling about and getting in the way of staff, patients, and pets on the way to the exam rooms. Second, I came in with a newly adopted reactive 60 lb dog. I informed them of this prior to the visit and they still decided to have an apprentice vet perform the exam. They regular vet joined her (both were unexpectedly young), they sat on the floor and fed him several slices of American cheese, while we talked about my concerns. They immediately wanted me to come back at a later time with him sedated, despite my telling them exactly what to do to bypass the reactivity. The apprentice ignored my advice completely, and without any warning for me to get his attention, she quickly moved behind him and grabbed his side. Of course, this upset him, and he reacted. Thankfully I was fast enough to block him, but got bit in the process. They didn't seem to care about that at all and said they would give me a prescription and I could reschedule (they tried to charge me a ridiculous amount for the meds, I took the prescription to the compounder for a 1/4 the cost). I feel they have very little inexperience, are not really animal people, and are possibly only in this business for the $. I cannot recommend this office, especially if your pet is at all reactive.

Experiencia positiva: This place has done nothing but become increasingly more since I started coming here. My cat has gunk buildup and some mild infection. They are so over priced I'm going to have to find a new vet. Terramycin ophthalmic ointment - they charge 61.41 The same ointment at Chewy is $27 Onsir Tablets 6mg - they charge 37.75 Chewy charges 12.29 for the exact same package. They wanted to charge 26 for a cat cone to prevent scratching. Unleashed by Petco - $17. Everything here is designed to charge you way, way over the top and it seems to get worse every visit. Just do your homework before going here. They have nearly doubled the price of most standard prices from my findings. I will probably keep going here for the time being. I do believe there has to be a more affordable option for me at this point. I do appreciate the staff and care for my pet.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic appt. Came to this vet previously, HD to come back with the new pup. She fell in love with the vet too. Very attentive, did research for me on flea/tick, we were unsure if pup was gravid or not.

Experiencia positiva: I appreciate that the veterinarians take their time with your animal, I've been going to the one on 82nd Northeast area and they have always been very friendly even when I was completely frustrated and at my wit's end with my dog who's a beagle he seems to have every allergy in the world or at least it feels like it. The vets seem to listen to you and offer some different options, when I said I was going to slowly transition to raw food diet the vet was very thorough as far as giving me pros and cons things to watch for things that I had never thought of so I appreciated that and felt more confident and going forward

Experiencia negativa: Please read the reviews. Notice how they respond to 5 star reviews with a 5 star review. Notice how generic and corporate they sound. Like all the animals are given wonderful care here at the Portland office. Or Im so happy I work here. Lol How would any individual know that? Because it's fake. YeLp has a much more accurate score 3 9. They are pumping up the rating . I had a negative experience here in just about every way imaginable. High dollar cost, unnecessary sells, triple priced OTC items without telling you its an OTC Orem. They wanted $55 dollars for an item That I got from Amazon for $20 . Fake diagnosis and undiagnosed. Retaliatory desk staff. Even though they changed thier name and tried to hide it I know you belong to. MARS. . That's right kiddos, the candy bar company has a stake in vets now. It explains why when you go in your pet might suddenly have a normal heart murmur and need $500 worth of tests to hear well its a a Normal one nothing sounds bad. He should live a normal life. Now, about the 1000 dental plan. We are going to need a 1000 dollar( insert what you will) examples only but you get the idea. They are a Veterinary Market. If you pay for unnecessary things for a VERY HIGH DOLLAR Youll get decent care if you don't, they dont care. But they will use phrases like " no judgements " as friendly as can be when you refuse to purchase a med your pet can't take for 3 months for nearly $400.Why would any vet offer 25% off your first visit. Then charge $50 to make sure you keep it. Lol These guys are clowns. Seriously. Just read the reviews. You'll see. And Portland family vet, you don't need to respond to this, save the time and call someone who is most assuredly waiting for a vet to call like I did all weekend and until 4p.m on Monday. Good luck on getting new customers. Keep the bribes coming. Oh, let me end on a positive. They write your dogs name on a welcome board. My dog didn't really appreciate it as well as he should have I thought. Maybe because he can't read, but, I thought it was cute. Just another gimmick. I'm looking for a real vet who practices health and well being. It isn't found here. Their snarky remark to make me sound like a Karen or the please call seems to follow. That concern is fake. I felt comfortable leaving my cats with them, knowing that the staff was so genuinely committed to giving them the best care possible. They are affordable and not pushy about upselling services - they clearly want what is best for their customers and patients!

Experiencia fantástica: I bring my anxious dog here since I got him as a puppy and he's always treated with the most respect and patience. This is a fear-free establishment and the doctors and techs here are amazing at accommodating us and providing excellent care for my dog. We have seen Dr. Flott and Dr. Schwartz and they have both been excellent to us.

Experiencia negativa: If your response were true, you would have offered the refund when I called and explained the situation. You received money for a service that you did not provide. If you don't want it to happen again change your policy and don't accept money upfront for tests that need to be brought back to the office. The people there are great as far as caring for animals. They are not honest. I took my cats there during covid and prepaid for a test that I ended up not doing. They never told me that I had 60 days to bring it back or forfeit the money. They said if I didn't bring the tests back, there would be a credit on my account. I just took my cats back last week and asked about the credit. They said they looked into it and that I did not prepay for the test. When I went home and filed my papers I found the invoice. I had indeed paid for the tests. I called back to ask for a refund since I was unable to apply for my last visit. They called me back and said they would only credit $20. The tests totaled $157.50. I am a CFO of a company and I would never treat my customers this way. I would never just write off a credit. That is not an honest thing to do. I will not go back there due to this dishonesty. The care is good, but don't prepay for anything. I will admit this is partly my fault for waiting so long to use the credit, but had the 60 days been explained I would not have prepaid for the test. I am disappointed since I do like the care. There is nothing on the invoice that states that either.

Experiencia positiva: They are very kind and they work with you. My only issue is that they are over priced and they try to sneak everything thing in. I went only to get my god ear infection taken care of which should of only costed me about $160 but instead they took skin samples ear samples an a couple of other things but by the end of everything it was goo be $360 I told them I only had $200 because I was only focusing on my dogs ear infection by the time I left I ended up leaving and paying $216 and they gave me prescriptions so I could get them “cheaper on chewy” for just two prescription it is $280. They is why it took me awhile to get my dog seen because vets are over priced. The people at this place are very kind and helpful don’t get me wrong.

Experiencia positiva: Well I always like Portland Veterinary Clinic but I feel like their prices are super high. I took my cat in for a routine visit and they wanted over $500 that's not something that is Affordable. I did walk out at 150 bucks but I turned down two recommended things which would have made my bill over $500 that's not okay. That's not something that is Affordable. And now to get my cat fixed it's going to be almost $600 that's not affordable. I think I'm going to start looking elsewhere to find more Affordable Veterinary
