Experiencia fantástica: I've been taking my girl Deja to Hannah's since she was 8 & she is now 17. They ARE amazing @Hannah's. The monthly price for Deja is very reasonable for a senior dog who is still sassy & trucking along! lol - Deja has had nothing but 'the' good that Hannah delivers/offers.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog has major anxiety issues call it ptsd. But they are very kind and understanding. It is so worth taking your animals there. I cant remember all of the names of the people there who helped me. But my dogs name is quvo and to all of u who have been there thru the beginning of this journey I want to thank u. Becuz it is a journey with a dog who suffers with doggie ptsd. Becuz i suffer from it. Anyways thank u to a most amazing team.

Experiencia negativa: Called in & showed up for a shot my dog needed (we’d NOT been informed about last year)… and to top our visit off they did NOT have the medicine for Joy’s shot and we waited 40 minutes to be told this. I do not like the changes Hannah … you need to get your act together… plus you have raised the monthly rates. I received the “news” from a lovely Hannah representative … you should give her a raise and communicate better !

Experiencia fantástica: Emily is such a great dog trainer and person. She not only understands my young dog needs but is able to explain things completely to myself and my pup. She understood my pup issue in a certain class and suggested a different class would be better which now my pup is flourishing in. I absolutely love the training classes and so glad they are offered with my monthly fees otherwise I would never be able to afford these training classes.

And Hannah means that we never have to make health decisions based on cost. It's a great place, and I absolutely recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Horner and the medical team on the west side are amazing! We have been owners from the very beginning and now have our fifth dog on the plan. With Dr. Horners help our last two dogs lived longer than they would have if we had been forced to make excruciating decisions based on finances alone. We got extra time with them that is so valued and appreciated. Currently, the team is helping my son’s dog thru an elective gastropexy surgery, so that he will not be at risk for an emergent or deadly episode of “bloat”. Without Hannah, my son would have to make a difficult decision to electively pay thousands of dollars or risk his dog potentially dying of bloat. The peace of mind is invaluable. Budgeting a realistic monthly bill, knowing our pets are covered for anything, is so worth it. The whole medical team are wonderful to work with and really care about our critters. I cannot recommend them enough.

Experiencia fantástica: Friday the 14th of March I had to put my Rottweiler/ Mastiff down because of his history with hip dysplasia and it was one of the hardest thing I've ever done but the people at Hannah Portland we're absolute angels! They were so kind and caring especially Amy Anderson Dr. Wisler and the other vet that put my dog down on Friday.I cannot say enough thanks for all of your assistance with my dogs compassionate euthanasia and giving me all the time I needed to say goodbye to my 3 year old beautiful boy Duke!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been with Hannah of the pet Society for about 10 years maybe 15 years now and I’ve had a really good experience with them. Yes, they technically own your pet but it’s just for legal purposes and the pet always stays with you so it doesn’t really matter. what really matters is that they provide care whenever you need it even if it’s in the middle of the night. When my cat was dying, she was admitted overnight for a couple of nights, and I was able to go in the middle of the night visit her before she died And they were super accommodating. They are also very helpful when sometimes I need help with the bill and they’re able to help me out. Shannon Miller was the agent I spoke with and she was very professional and quick to assist me. I appreciate all that you guys do.

He went out of his way to make my cat as comfortable as possible and spoke with me several times to help decide the best plan of care. Experiencia fantástica: When I was blessed and surprised with my very own puppy, Nova a few days ago it was a no brainer where I would take her for care! My granddog, Bullitt is and has been a patient for quite awhile now and I’ve always been impressed with the way we’re treated and taken care of by Hanna staff. More importantly Bullitt never cries, barks or gets scared to go inside and that’s all I really need to know!! I’d be completely wrong if I didn’t give a huge shot out to Sarah for helping get us enrolled. Sarah went above and beyond and her customer service is exceptional and refreshing, something really lacking these days to say the least. Experiencia fantástica: I got my puppy Bell in 2012 from Hannah and paid a reasonable monthly fee for total pet visits, all the pet accessories needed and free food delivery. 14 years later my puppy has grown into the best little dog ever. I now live in a nursing home in Santa Fe New Mexico and my little girl is the favorite of all the pets here. Everyone is amazed when I let them know how old she is. They all think she’s a puppy still. She has a bounce in her step still. I couldn’t be happier with Bell. She’s smart and friendly and still as cute as ever.

Experiencia fantástica: Worry free all around medical and dental care for a monthly fee. Peace of mind knowing that just about any ailment is covered and you don't have to come up with a huge amount of money when you pet is sick or injured. They have en emergency vet as well for after-hours, but the non emergency location will take walk in during business hours. Sometime the medication doses change depending on who is filling the prescription. I recommend this for any pet. They have been a huge life saver for my cat.

We already had a care plan in place for our senior dog, and another dog who was seeing a different vet—so suddenly we had three dogs and I really wanted the convenience of having them all cared for in one place. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Aldo is truly the most amazing compassionate person I’ve ever had the pleasure of being helped by in the veterinary world. I truly believe he was born to be in this line of work. He is obviously a veterinarian but not only did he take a huge chunk out of his day to help work up solutions for a complicated medical situation for my senior dog and I, he helped me feel more understood and listened to than anyone else in my journey with helping my dog recover. His intelligence and pure compassion will forever have a lasting impact on me, he didn’t know this but I was barely hanging on from the stress of the situation and by being such an amazing caring individual he revived my hope. He gave my dog more time than I ever thought was possible and made himself available for anything my dog needed. He always remembers my dog by name even though we have 2 others on the plan and that’s really special to me, he never misses a chance to ask about how we are both doing which is amazing when I’m sure he helps tons of other fur families. I will forever be in debt to him and cannot believe how lucky my best friend and I got to cross paths with him. Thank you Dr Aldo keep being you, you are a blessing to pets and their families.

Experiencia positiva: Update still lacking on communication. Dropped my pet off for a neuter at 7 am and almost 5 pm with zero update or eta on pick up even when I called. My other cat got fixed 2 weeks ago and same thing. They give zero notice on pick up times. They like to call 30 mins before closing and expect you to pick up pet with zero notice than call you 30 mins later asking for an eta when your now trying to pick up kids from after-school program to get there before closing. The communication is trash. This is not a new issue. This is years and years of the same trash communication. Ive used other vets and always had a clear time for pick up after a pet got fixed.

As he has aged in the last years, they’ve really stepped up to deliver great care, including acupuncture and a monthly injectable that has allowed him to remain frisky and active as he nears his 14th birthday. If you ADOPT DIRECTLY thru Hannah, the rules are different - you’re leasing the pet. Otherwise after 15 years this is the best place ever and highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: In the last 20 years we have been with Hannah through three dogs and one current when I hear other people talk about pet insurance the hassles and the extremely expensive monthly cost that they have are horrible Hannah is extremely reasonable and absolutely amazing and we even had to use the emergency hospital twice with one of our dogs what a comfort to know they're there 24/7 for any emergency and then the compassion that they showed when it was time for them to cross the Rainbow Bridge was so comforting. With our current dog Lexi we get stopped so many times and when a conversation is started about dogs I ask if they have any pet insurance and recommend to them Hannah... if there were 10 Stars I would give that to Hannah we've not had one negative experience in 20 years and in this day and age that says a lot...thank you Hannah no matter if it's a routine check up or a medical concern you give such wonderful care to our four-legged family we am so grateful for you.

Some might even consider her a unicorn. My experience with Hanna began with her, I always received 5 star service, even having a "special" orange cat. The only reason I canceled my membership is because my daughter put my cat on her insurance. Sarah made it so canceling my membership was feasible. She had abilities to be compassionate and calming. They actually read Ollie’s record before greeting us, she knew he was nervous right away and noted he was on Gabapentin and Clonidine and took us to a private room. This helped ease Ollie’s anxiety and ours, as Ollie had had a hard time with vet visits. She was so attentive and understood exactly what we needed. Experiencia positiva: I've been with Hannah a few years now. When my dog was mostly healthy it was fine. The structure of paying a flat monthly fee and then having everything covered really works for me. However my dog is older and is having serious health issues. The level of care at Hannah feel very impersonal, rushed, and is not comprehensive. I think it's just due to their business model. The staff are always friendly and competent, but they just don't have time to devote to you or your pet. They also are either not willing or not able to really go above and beyond, medically, for your pet. If you pet has a complex health concern you run the risk of receiving subpar care.

She has Pika, and probably would have died had I not found hannah or atleast would have been kept at another vet. There is no way I could afford those bills anywhere else. Their insurance program is amazing. Im also hankful for it. The techs are so nice and receptive, the doctors are great. Really they make everything so easy. Also the the accounts team has been great at working with me regarding payments etc. Special shout out to Tina for being ao helpful and on top of things.

I was so worried and was not prepared to cover an emergency surgery after my move. Sarah was very informative and diligent in making sure I would be able to split my payments over time and get my girl the urgent care she needs without breaking the bank! It’s made me much comfortable in a new state and I will be using Hannah Pet for all my animals and their needs. If you’re looking for an affordable solution and great care and customer service. Experiencia fantástica: hannah pet portland location is excellent. every care provider here seems to genuinely care about my pets and their health and they always make sure to fully inform and reassure me as a dog mom. I took my pup to the emergency location because he was having some very concerning symptoms and he wasn’t able to be seen immediately so I called the portland one and despite being so busy, they told me to bring him in and they assessed him and were able to treat him. they have exceptional communication and are always kind and helpful. being a member with hannah pet has saved me so much stress and anxiety and money, especially in emergency situations! I love this location, you guys truly care about animals and it shows. we appreciate you immensely

Experiencia negativa: PET OWNERS PLEASE READ!!! If you’re considering Hannah’s, please take the time to read every word of their membership agreement — not once, but several times. In my personal experience, you’d be far better off paying a monthly care fee to Banfield or a regular veterinary clinic where you maintain full ownership of your pet. One thing many people don’t realize is that under Hannah’s structure, they legally own your pet — which, in my understanding, means the individuals performing blood draws, vaccines, or other procedures aren’t necessarily required to hold the same certifications or training you’d expect at a traditional veterinary practice. That alone should raise serious concerns for any pet parent. From what I saw, there isn’t an overnight veterinarian physically present in the ER — only one on call. In my opinion, that’s not true 24/7 emergency coverage, and it can leave pets waiting for care when they need it most. Despite what’s said about repossessions, that’s rarely followed through on. They simply don’t appear to have the resources to care for the surrendered animals already in hospital care. Instead, unpaid balances are sent to collections, even ones that were previously “forgiven” or reset. There are definitely some caring, hardworking staff members doing their best, but they’re overworked, underpaid, and stretched thin — and the stress shows in both communication and care. Please — if you love your pets — look over that membership agreement multiple times before signing. The buyout fees are steep, and once you’re in, it’s not easy to get out. Speaking from firsthand experience, I would never recommend this company to anyone who values transparency, accountability, or consistent quality care

Medical Team & Training: All medical procedures are performed by licensed veterinarians or trained veterinary professionals under direct supervision, consistent with Oregon law and veterinary board standards.
Emergency Coverage: Our hospitals are staffed 24/7 by trained veterinary professionals, with an emergency veterinarian on call and available for consultation or to return to the hospital as needed.
Transparency & Member Support: We strive to be completely transparent with our Members about pricing, policies, and the terms of their Membership Agreement. We encourage anyone with questions to reach out so we can walk through details personally.

Experiencia fantástica: Sara from Hannah helped me sign up two kittens my family is adopting. Sara was personable, patient and thorough,n explaining the process as we did it all electronically. The process was super fast and easy to follow along. Sara seems to really enjoy the work, and it shows in her customers service. Our family also has two dogs, one of which we adopted through Hannah. The service our pets receive is worth every penny spent. Everyone I've encountered at Hannah is friendly and demonstrates how that care about our pets.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been a Hannah member for 4 years on paper, but in reality it has been much longer due to my Best Friend being a 13 year member. The team is always there to help, and support you. When I randomly went and got a puppy Sarah in enrollment was so excited and gave me encouragement. This past few months has been hard, I lost my job, then my car broke, then a family medical emergency…. Hannah member services worked with me to keep my membership. I’m grateful for them, and what they do every day.

Experiencia fantástica: We got our Shih Tsu from Hannah 14 years ago. We have received wonderful care for her throughout her entire life - through thick and thin. Front the front desk staff, to those that provide the hands on care - we have had a really great experience. We’ve been seen by many doctors over all these years and all have been remarkable. We have had extraordinary care from both Dr. Horner and Dr. Wenzel. Today, they were out of the prescription eye drops my pup needs for her glaucoma. There was stock at the Tigard location and a staff person would bring some to the Portland office. When I asked what time they thought I should return to pick them up - Hayley said “you don’t live far from me, I’ll bring them to you!” I’m in Vancouver and having someone go out of their way to save me another round trip was amazing. Really above and beyond - that seems to be what they all do. Thank You.

Experiencia positiva: I’ve been with this hospital for over a year and have had consistently positive experiences with my pets’ care, including an oral surgery for one of my five pets. The staff has always been attentive, and the quality of service has been excellent. However, I did recently experience a billing issue. I requested to change my payment date and was assured the payment would be processed manually at the end of the month. Unfortunately, it was still charged automatically on the original date. Aside from this isolated issue, my overall experience with the hospital and its staff has been very good, and I appreciate the care they provide to my pets.

Experiencia negativa: I have worked in the animal field for years and this is not my first rodeo. Why does Hannah pet hospitals sound too good to be true? Because it is. I would not recommend Hannah pet hospitals due to their poor communication and the feeling your pet is receiving low quality care. When I signed up for the membership, I asked specifically if the first appointment we would be discussing next steps for my cat's urgent issue. He's already had two appointments with another vet about this issue and I was wanting some concrete steps. Sarah said yes. If she had said no, I would not have moved forward with the membership. Turns out the appointment was only an intake, where they did bloodwork and microchip. Sarah insists on talking on the phone instead of email so miscommunications like this are tricky to prove. I also asked and Sarah answered (though she disputes this) that if I decided not to go through with the membership after the first appointment, I would receive my membership fee of $175 back. Turns out that isn't true either. The membership fee refund becomes zero when they say you are charged for the bloodwork and microchip. Though when I pushed for a receipt for the exact costs of these items, Sarah said they would refund me the full membership fee. So that's one positive and kind of them, though I can't help but feel like this was to avoid providing more details to me. The visit summary also says the vet saw my cat, but no vet ever came into the exam room. Perhaps the vet saw him when they took him out for the bloodwork but I could not verify that actually happened since I never saw it. And that's strange to me to examine my animal without me being there. The facility is large and loud and not very welcoming. No one greeted me for several minutes, though staff was standing around. You will be recorded in the exam rooms, without pre-consent. Vet tech didn't explain much (for example saying she was taking him back for bloodwork and he came back microchipped), didn't seem aware of my cat's history, didn't take any of the records I brought with me. Basically I sat alone in the exam room for the majority of the time, ending with her saying he was "healthy" and "accepted into the program". Was surprised when I asked about next steps. Consider the glassdoor reviews to see what their own employees say about working there, admitting they aren't trained, etc. Despite the awful reviews, I was willing to give it a chance because I was desperate for affordable vet care! But I regret the waste and frustration and am taking him to a quality specialist even if I'm going to have to pay much more. When I told a friend about this experience, they said that they've never heard about Hannah's despite having several pets and animal lover friends. AND THIS IS WHY. Because they are clearly not respected in the veterinary community.

This includes a physical examination, baseline diagnostics, and microchipping (if not already completed), which are all necessary for enrollment in our Total Lifetime Care™ program. We understand that this may have felt different from what you anticipated, and we sincerely regret that this was not more clearly communicated before your appointment.
