Experiencia fantástica: The Crown Urgent Care Clinic is now also accepting patients for regular care. This is great for Merlyn and I. We are so happy with the urgent care we got yesterday. Now our new regular veterinary place. A very welcoming place. Helen and Marla are so helpful, efficient and so nice. Dr Carter is great, calm, caring and worked with Merlyn until he found what was causing problems. I highly recommend Crown Urgent Care.

Experiencia fantástica: We found Dr. Carter when our newest rescue was having terrible anxiety. He quickly diagnosed and gave us medication to calm her till we could get with our regular vet. Fast forward 3+ years and now Crown and Dr. Carter is our primary Veterinarian as they establish a Veterinarian hospital in addition to Urgent care. We have found every single team member to be professional and courteous. We have senior dogs both with chronic medical issues in addition are also accident prone. We are a frequent visitor to this practice and feel so fortunate to have them taking care of our family members! On pricing they are absolutely inline and considerably lower per visit than our previous Veterinarian. Having a dog that requires blood work at the very least twice a year I was over the moon thrilled when we learned they had the equipment to run blood work in house rather than sending it out to a laboratory and waiting for the results this was a HUGE DEAL for us!! Trust the rave reviews this place is absolutely the best in the valley and it is 100% worth waiting for Dr. Carter and his team to care for your pet! I respect Dr. Carter's evaluation and always offers options while remaining conservative in his approach when feasible and aggressive when required! I honestly feel like he looks at his patients as if they were his own pets. You see his kindness as he interacts with not only our pets but with us too! I would like to add that after surgery to remove a mass from Anna's paw she bumped her paw getting into the truck. The nurses did not try to take her back inside, instead they removed the bandage checked the surgical site and re-bandaged in the back of our truck! That is a heart of gold to bring out all the supplies and re-bandage in the truck rather than make her go back inside. Compassion with a capital "C"! Experiencia negativa: ***Extremely disappointing experience, especially given this clinic’s strong reviews*** I chose this urgent care because of its high ratings and had a very positive first impression. During an earlier visit, this clinic identified previously unknown cardiac disease in my 13-year-old dog, which made me trust their thoroughness and return for follow-up labs. Unfortunately, the second visit was a complete reversal. After labs were drawn and paid for, the clinic abruptly changed what had been agreed upon and demanded an additional $80 “establishment” exam fee simply to discuss the results (a five minute conversation). When I asked them to honor what was communicated, they immediately terminated care while my dog was still onsite, stating they “were not the right fit” and “couldn’t make me happy,” which was a surprise to hear in the context of a medical visit where the sole focus should have been my dog’s care. This wasn’t about customer satisfaction — it was about refusing to follow through on an agreed-upon medical plan and withholding paid-for results for a senior, medically fragile patient. I was also disturbed to witness another dog turned away at approximately 4:20 PM for being “at capacity,” despite an empty waiting room and no referral assistance offered. I ended up helping that family find another vet myself. To make matters worse, when I asked for documentation that the refund had been processed, I was not told of any system issue and was given only a handwritten note on scrap paper, with no receipt or paper/email trail to confirm a refund actually occurred. Given the clinic’s reputation, this was shocking and painfully disappointing. I sincerely hope this is not how they routinely operate, but based on my experience, I would urge pet owners — especially those with senior or medically complex animals — to proceed with caution.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and Dr. at Crown were very compassionate, comforting, and knowledgeable. They listened to all our concerns and allowed us to ask all of questions. They were so friendly and patient with our very nervous Bella. They put her at ease right away! They were willing to try less expensive treatments to help our pets so that we didn't have to break the bank. This was very helpful in an already stressful situation. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality, reasonable, and loving care for their pets.

Experiencia fantástica: My little chihuahua got hit by a car the other day and my regular vet couldn't see us. We went right to Crown Vet and they saw Andrew right away. The doctor thoroughly examined him. He actually was fine ( a miracle)... The staff was incredible! Very comforting and kind. I highly recommend! They also have a regular veterinarian practice as well and I'm highly considering switching. Thank you Crown Vet!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing service! I had two pet conundrums going on at once with time constraints! They let me leave my cat with them to take care of his wound so I could head down the road to pick up another pets meds before the pharmacy closed. My cat was in for a bite & they did not try to sell me on a bunch of testing for diseases, etc, just cleaned the wound & gave him an injectable antibiotic. Very friendly & helpful with everything!

Luckily all lab work was normal but whatever was bothering her she still isn't up to usual self but feel comfortable if the need arises to take her back to the clinic

The staff was very kind, knowledgeable and expedient,They cleaned his ear for him, and gave him an antibiotic shot. We will be going back in the next day or 2 to do the rest of his shots. Our pup was addressed with the deepest of concerns and every question and issues was thoroughly covered. Dr. Carter provided a plan with multiple options and we were well informed to make a decision. Although we may have to return depending on our pups reaction to antibiotics, we know what the next steps entail. We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful clinic. Experiencia fantástica: Hi, I literally just had one of the worst weekends of my life. We have a Yorkie he's 14 years old the love of my life, anyways long story short he ended up with a bad infection in his mouth I took him to a 24/7 emergency vet in Gilbert on Saturday they were unable to really get in his mouth to look at it and they didn't have x-ray machines to x-ray it, they gave me meds pain and antibiotic, but my dog had not ate or drank in 2 days got him home he's still could not eat could not drink and was getting worse all day Sunday I stressed, so Monday I made some phone calls was having no luck until I called crown. The most amazing woman named Helen answered the phone and answered my prayers, Helen I am so grateful for you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We got our dog in that afternoon Dr Mark was phenomenal the staff was amazing they put my mind at ease along with my headache and anxiety. The doctor gave us some advice of what to do we did it within 30 minutes of leaving there and my dog is now on the mend not perfect not great but because of this veterinarian office and Helen and Dr Mark he will be back to himself in no time. I cannot think all of you enough, you answered my prayers and my sweet Nuggie, is on his way back to normal and is starting to eat and drink again. If anyone has a pet that is not doing well, take your animals here I promise without a doubt both you and your animal will leave feeling very good. 10 Stars and I would recommend to anyone and everyone. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Matthew and Michele Cable, and lil Nuggie too. Again Helen I will always be grateful for you answering that phone.

Experiencia fantástica: This place came in clutch for us. We were on a road trip from Washington state and were just passing through. Our dog had been dealing with a weird cough and they were able to fit us in. I cannot for the life of me remember the vet's name, but he took the time to answer our questions, he sat on the ground with our pup which really helped her warm up quickly to him, and he gave us the next medication as suggested by our primary vet. The whole experience was also extremely affordable. Just a fantastic experience. They also have a "Dumb and Dumber" van which is obviously the best thing in existence and an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, our little kitty was too far gone... Dr. Carter and staff treated us with dignity and grace, giving us the utmost respect and caring at a tough time. I don’t have anything but good things to say about them!

Experiencia negativa: Their website is awful and has many errors? I did call and an Urgent care visit is $120. Put it on the website! Also seems confusing as to what they are? They have preventative medicine, but are Urgent care? I care for 11 animals and I need a plain ol' vet, but one that has appointments available for when your pet gets sick. No regular vet should make you wait weeks for an appointment! You have too many clients if that is the case!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were so happy to find this place and have our lil girl taken care of by Dr Mark Carter and staff for tooth removed and a cleaning. This says alot cause my lil girl (Xena,) does not like anyone ( but us and and grandparents) so for her to feel comfortable and not scared makes us happy and at ease. The process of waiting your turn at home is wonderful. We will definitely be back to Crown vet. Another plus they can do everything there. Keep up the good work. Hard to find a good fur baby doctor

Experiencia fantástica: 08/16 I have visited Crown Urgent Vet several times- and they have been wonderful each time. They have helped my animals in scary situations, and also helped ease my mind and heart. I 10/10 recommended them for your furbabies needs!! So very thankful for all of them! UrgentVet was fantastic from beginning to end. It was such peace of mind to know that I could have my baby seen on the same day when she wasn’t feeling well. Vets are so backed up and overloaded these day’s but UrgentVet has implemented a system that works! Dr. Carter is great- very knowledgeable and kind- but he’s also honest and fair. Mauricio is a great addition to the practice, and the rest of the staff is wonderful too. I highly recommend them any time you have an urgent matter with your fur baby, or just can’t get in to your regular vet. ETA- I have now used Crown Urgent Vet multiple times for multiple pets- they are phenomenal! I am so thankful that Dr. Carter and his amazing staff are there for my fur-babies whenever we need them! HIGHLY recommend!

Experiencia negativa: My daughters emotional support Cat was injured. They charged me 400 and wanted another 1500 for emergency surgery which I didn't have. My daughter and I were told he would go to a no kill shelter and when he got better that they would let us know where he was at and we could get him back that way. We called to find the status of my daughters emotional support animal and they inform us they adopted him out. My daughter has been through a lot of trauma and he was getting her though it. Now she is crying her heart out.

Experiencia fantástica: Saw this little cutie run past my son’s window. I yelled to him that there was a dog outside. He began running. In flip flops. In 109 degree heat. Stopping traffic across Power road. And caught the pup. This tall pupper had bloody paws from the hot ground and was VERY thirsty. I called two vets that had either urgent or hospital in their title but neither took walk-ins. The third called was Crown Urgent Vet. They said to bring him right in. I took him up to the vet and thankfully he was chipped. Crown called owner was contacted and he came to get Timber, the wonder pup! Timber was given love and water from Crown. He gladly accepted both. Timber’s Dad was there in a jiffy and was so happy to be reunited. What a wonderful disruption on this hot hot day. Love a happy ending. Shout out to my kid who did not hesitate to save Timber’s life. Also Crown Urgent Vet was so helpful! Props to them! @crown_urgentvet

Experiencia fantástica: My fur baby, Stormi, is a rescued Chihuahua. She started having extreme bloody diarrhea. I called Crown and she was seen by Dr Carter. Since Stormi cannot tell them how she feels and this had been happening a lot, tests were suggested. I had the option to say no, but why would I? She is now on a RX diet (which she loves) and meds and, just this morning, she pooped. Not bloody Took it in to be analyzed. So, long story short, I have made Crown my primary vet because of their patience, their understanding of a frazzled dog mom and close proximity to my home. Highly, highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog needed medical attention on a Saturday. Her regular vet closed and I called around and another place recommended Crown as they had no appointments. Crown was available and I got there in 30 minutes and they took her right in. Staff very professional and gentle. I learned so much from the Vet in a 10 minute conversation. She knew her stuff. The price was less than I expected considering it was urgent care. They are a 10 and I recommend. I’m switching my Vet care here.

They were so nice Augie and Dawn and the Doctor. They also helped me by letting me switch form of payment. They refunded my initial payment which was from my checking account and then processed the payment on the 6 month 0% interest card instead which will be extremely helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: Loved this clinic!! They were friendly, helpful, understanding! I especially loved how efficient and skilled they were when I had to bring in a feral cat to be spayed. They answered all my questions too. 10/10 coming back here again!

Experiencia negativa: I brought my dog in after she had a litter and was showing clear signs of mastitis. Instead of treating the issue directly, this clinic pushed unnecessary procedures—including chest X-rays, which had nothing to do with her symptoms—and barely explained anything to me. They performed one lab test, gave her three IVs, and charged over $450 without addressing the actual problem. My dog left the clinic in worse condition than she came in—barely able to walk and still in pain. I had to take her to another vet immediately, where she was properly diagnosed, treated, and is now thankfully recovering well. This clinic failed my dog when she needed urgent care. I wouldn’t trust them again and I strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion if you go here. Animals deserve better care, and pet owners deserve transparency—not a massive bill with no answers. After reading the clinic’s response to my review, I feel even more disappointed. I brought my dog in after she developed mastitis postpartum—a painful and urgent condition. Instead of addressing the clear signs, I was pushed toward expensive diagnostics like chest X-rays and more bloodwork without clear explanation. Meanwhile, my dog was deteriorating. The clinic claims I was rude or hostile, but in reality, I was a worried owner who asked questions they didn’t want to answer. I refused unnecessary add-ons—not care. I wasn’t demanding to "override protocols," I was trying to understand why we were straying from treating mastitis to unrelated tests. My dog left their care worse off than she arrived—barely able to walk and still untreated. I immediately took her to another vet, who addressed the actual issue without overcharging or deflecting responsibility. She is now recovering well. Their response here tries to paint me as the problem rather than acknowledging that their approach was clinical, profit-focused, and impersonal. If you’re looking for compassionate, focused care—especially in emergencies—I suggest going elsewhere.

She took her time to assess and thoroughly explain her diagnosis and the test results. She is professional, sensitive and kind towards my pup. Once I left I was confident with Laurens's expertise my dog would be better quickly. I have 2 Huskys and have been to many vets, Lauren is definitely one of the top. Crown is lucky to have her. Experiencia fantástica: Our 17yo dog has been declining over the last few months. As winter visitors to the valley area, our regular vet is more than 1000 mi. Our dog woke this morning and exhibited signs of a stroke, unable to stand or walk. Very frightened. The staff at Crown were excellent and got us in quickly. We did not have to fill out endless papers. The vet and techs were kind and caring. They helped us find the right way to ease him over the rainbow bridge. We highly recommend this group.

Our elderly pup was having some acute urinary symptoms that required urgent attention. By 6 AM, I was filling out the online forms (quick and efficient process) for him to be seen at Crown UrgentVet. Even before the clinic opened at 8 AM, I was already texting with the front desk to get our sweet pup seen first thing. Dr. Ruiz and the care team took such great care of our boy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We were home by 9:30 AM with medications and a treatment plan in hand. Additionally, the pricing for urgent care is quite reasonable. As a family, we would happily recommend Crown UrgentVet to family and friends. Experiencia fantástica: We're traveling in an RV, didn't know any local vets, kind of stumbled upon Crown UrgentVet. We got in to see Dr. Ruiz the same day, got instant x-rays and blood work, and everyone we dealt with in the office was great. Two days later our pup is feeling much better. Two thumbs way up!

Experiencia fantástica: Our regular vet referred us here when they didn't have an opening. While it isn't inexpensive, we felt it was worth it to have our cat examined and treated right away. I was able to complete the check-in online on the way to the clinic. We were taken back within 10 minutes of arriving. The vet and vet tech were caring, took time to listen to our concerns and did a thorough exam. Options and prices were explained in advance. They were able to do x-rays and got the results very quickly. I highly recommend this clinic if you pet needs urgent care.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to Crown Urgent Vet at least half a dozen times in the past year. I have three senior dogs, and seniors tend to develop more issues than during their youth, unfortunately. My poor pups have been treated for many ailments ranging from simple, unexplained bouts of diarrhea from my chihuahua to more serious care requiring an abdominal ultrasound to detect Cushing's disease in our beloved boxer. Our pets (and pet parents) receive VIP treatment at each visit. I'm almost apprehensive to leave such a glowing review for fear that the practice will get too popular! I don't want my secret out! LOL Crown Vet's adaption of technology has truly made the entire process of getting urgent vet care so easy and calm during an otherwise nerve-wracking situation. Fur parents can get pretty stressed out when our pets show symptoms of illness. Joining the wait list online, then receiving a text and email notifying me when to head to the office made the process simple and efficient. The facility is always extremely clean and pleasant. The staff is always upbeat and warm. I'm so glad they've opened a practice nearby. I recommend Crown Urgent Vet and will be using them again in the future.

Experiencia positiva: I’d give 4.5 stars if I could! I just moved to East Mesa and don’t have a vet in this area Or now about any of the emergency clinics! My dog was throwing up blood and I called several vets to get him in and no one would fit him in. One Vet office recommended Crown Urgent Care. I called and spoke to Star. She was excellent and very generous with what to check, assess, and whether we needed to rush in or come in the morning. I Opted for the morning and next day tried another regular vet office to no avail. My mom had two friends who had good experience here, so I gave up scheduled with Crown. I was in the office in less than an hour.!! Location easy to find, no long wait at the Vet- they text to tell you when to come in. Front staff very friendly and very clean spacious office. Only waited a short time before Dr. Padilla came in and she was great, identifying long-standing food and stomach issues for my pup. She also worked with me on a more natural approach to resolve it. Vet tech Carly super nice even ran out stuff to my car to check on Ollie. Prices reasonable for urgent / emergency care. Did bypass on a higher priced nail trim which I needed but will wait for groomer. Loved that they were playing funny dog videos in waiting room. I definitely recommend and I’ll return if needed! Perfect solution for urgent care vs. emergency hospital! I’ve been to other emergency clinics that had water, coffee, snacks and were just a tad more emotionally doting which would be the half star. Definitely go!

Experiencia fantástica: My pet Piper was in a life threatening situation and my regular vet was closed for the weekend. My vet recommended Crown UrgentVet if I needed help over the weekend. I have never liked Emergency Vets, but this clinic was hands down the best experience of my life. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and reassuring that they would take great care of Piper. They kept her there for surgery and I went home to wait since it would be hours. They kept me apprised of her situation after the surgery and how wonderfully things went. The entire clinic itself was fresh, clean and organized. The waiting room even has a TV with a cute pet channel playing that is entertaining and helps take your mind off your worries. Amber at the front desk had been a vet technician for over 10 years herself. She gave me peace to know that Piper was in a wonderful safe place for her care. I highly recommend this vet clinic. This is my very first time leaving a review for ANY business! I felt it was very important for people to know that there are good emergency vets out there that will properly take care of your sick or injured beloved pet. I'm very grateful for the entire staff. If I am ever in need of an emergency vet in the future, this is the only one I will consider using.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my german shepherd mix in as I thought he had an ear infection. We were treated with compassion. I love in the waiting room there were silly/cute animal videos playing - kept me and my dog entertained! Next time I’ll sign up for the wait list as I just did a walk in. Wally loved all the attention and pets he got! The cost wasn’t much more than my regular vet but I didn’t want to wait for my regular vet since it was the weekend.

Experiencia fantástica: Our newest addition, an 8 week old Sheperd Puppy(Ellie) was showing signs of an inner ear infection so we brought her in as a referral.The facility is very clean and the staff are all very welcoming which is obviously a great sign and helps put you at ease. Dr Carter was very informative, great with Ellie and did only what he thought was necessary. I feel like he really had our best interest at heart. I also feel the price was reasonable as I know things can get $$ when it comes to our animals. I will definitely be returning for future checkups etc.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my Frenchie here after having 2 canulas placed in his ear, over a 3 week period. All of a sudden he took a turn and I knew something was wrong. So the original vet couldn't get him in till layer that day but it was an Emergency, so I got him in at this vet. And I was more than happy with how quick, concerned they were and how well they treated him. The price was steep but the ir care was priceless. Thank you team!

I walked out the door feeling hopeful and NOT what did I just pay $500. to $1000 for without getting a course of action for pets condition. this was midday on Saturday. they referred me to an emergency clinic due to a test result. unfortunately I had to put the dog down. Crown Urgent care did not know this, however first thing monday morning they called me to check in with how he was doing. What's important was the cared enough to follow up. That is something 3 other vets in 7 months of dealing with this, never called, once I was out the door. 1 of those 3 still flood my inbox with advertisements on what they have going on not once mentioning my dog. Thank you Crown Urgent care, you re-instilled in me that some vets are more concerned with the welfare of the pet. something has happened in vet care and it's not good. If you can get an appointment to see the Vet anymore. they tend to exclude you when you aren't at their office every 6 months. I get vaccinations done when they have low cost vaccination clinics.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog to Crown vet for a dental on Monday and could not have been more pleased with the service. From the girls at the front desk to the technicians and the vet. Everyone was so kind, the office was clean and inviting and the check out process was easy and quick. One of the techs even helped me carry my pet to the car after my dogs dental! 10 stars to the staff for treating our pet like she was one of their family members. Good job, girls!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog to crown urgent vet due to an abscessed tooth. They were able to get him in right away when I called. Both the tech and the doctor that day were very professional, informative, and caring. I took him back today for surgery in order to remove the abscessed teeth as well as remove several others. I was so nervous but they really put my mind at ease! They let me know what was happening throughout the process and Leo came through quite well! They’re not just an urgent care facility – they are now my go-to vet!!!

I was not able to go to my vet when my sweet boy got sick. I immediately went to their website and was very pleased to see that they have an online check in service. I was able to check in and was seen as soon as I arrived. From the first interaction with the front desk, I knew we were going to be in good hands. Dr. Ruiz and the staff quickly found the issue and went over the recommended treatment. All the fees were explained up front and I felt they were very reasonable for URGENT medical attention. Dr. Carter and his team provided her compassionate, excellent care. The doctor personally called us prior to her surgery, and post with thorough surgical details including her recovery progress. Prices were provided upfront with no surprise hidden charges upon receipt. All meds for her recovery were neatly packaged and provided same day. All of our questions were answered without pressure. Would definitely use this emergency practice again for our cats. Professional staff. Highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: We had to take our 8 year old Shih tzu mini poodle mix, Sage, to be put to sleep. We called Crown Urgent Vet on a Saturday morning and we were able to get in immediately. It was a sad situation for us since we were putting Sage to sleep, but the experience was good due to the understanding of the receptionist, Michelle, who was so very nice. We then met with Dr. Hay-Roe who talked us through what was happening. I was a basket case and Dr. Hay—Roe was understanding. Overall, for the sad situation we were dealing with I was very pleased with the care we received and the care for our beloved, Sage received.The facility was so very clean! I would recommend Crown Urgent Vet to anyone who needed a place to go to for their pet.

They really made us feel that we would know every step in the process and let us have as much time as we needed. I would recommend this clinic to others. Experiencia fantástica: It was a great place to go they were very transparent with the cost up front before they did anything. It was a quick appt. I did not have to wait long. My puppy & I waited at home until it was our turn in line. So it was more comfortable for the both of us. The whole experience was cheaper than emergency vet hospitals. They took great care of my fur baby. They gave us copies of my pets file & X-rays quickly. They went over everything thoroughly with us before giving us 2 referrals for pet surgery hospitals. So I was able to call & compare the costs of both places before hand. Unfortunately, this place does not do surgeries for pets with Salter Harris type IV fractures of the front elbow on my 15 week old French Bulldog puppy. I would have given them 10 stars if they could have. I really loved this urgent vet If my dogs ever need to come back I would make this the only urgent vet I would go to & would definitely recommend them to all of my friends & family. Actually, I have already a couple of times since my visit on June 1, 2024. Which was a Friday worst day of the week for my puppy to have an accident. It was the best decision I made to call this place. I was not disappointed at all.

Most recently I had to get an emergency surgery for my cat, and really appreciated the level of care and communication. They kept me in the loop throughout the day of the procedure and called me as soon as my kitty was ready to come home. They walked me through the aftercare and made sure I had everything I needed. They also did blood work before the procedure and based on the results they prescribed special food for my girl since she is getting older to keep kidney issues at bay. I really appreciated that - two birds with one stone! I also love that you can check in online and they will text you when it’s your time to show up, it’s so much less stressful for my cat not having to wait for hours in the office. I would highly recommend this place!
