Experiencia fantástica: My senior cat developed severe stomach issues and Christmas Eve day. I’ve been going to Augusta Ranch for over 15 years with my animals. I have always had excellent service. I was told there were no available appointments that day, but was provided locations to go to get my cat checked out. Within an hour, Augusta Ranch called me and had a cancellation. I was able to get in right away with my cat, and within 90 minutes we had a diagnosis and a treatment plan. Dr. Dorothy De Dios-Miner, Ashley, Tanyse, and Cassie, were the heroes of the day. They have such compassion for both my pet and myself. I even got a follow up call to check the status of my cat. Leo is doing better in the two days of being seen by Augusta Ranch Hospital and the most amazing staff.

Experiencia negativa: I really wanted to like this place as a first-time French Bulldog mom, but my experience was honestly awful. I brought my puppy in because she was uncomfortable and needed care. Instead of feeling supported, I felt shamed and upsold. The staff cleaned her ears, expressed her glands(which was already done) , diagnosed an ear infection, and prescribed medication ($20 over the counter VS $100 with them which I wasn’t sure educated on) - but the cost was nearly $400, which the dr almost forgotten to take my puppies poop sample if I hadn’t reminded her. What made it worse was the way I was spoken to. I was told my dog was likely “inbred” because of her breed features, and was made to feel irresponsible for owning a Frenchie. The tone was judgmental, dismissive, and unprofessional almost like my concerns weren’t valid but my wallet was. Surely the reminded me of all the cosmetic procedures my dog will need - and listed off 4 to 5! Instead of guiding me as a new pet owner, the conversation quickly turned into a pitch about future cosmetic procedures and additional services she would “need,” which felt like a pure upsell tactic rather than genuine care. I left feeling belittled, upset, and taken advantage of. No first-time pet parent should walk out of a vet clinic feeling embarrassed or talked down to. I sincerely hope this clinic improves bedside manner, transparency, and respect for their clients. Pet owners , especially new ones deserve compassion, education, and support, not sales pressure and judgment.

I've dealt with rude receptionists, overcharging and other issues. This is the vet I will stick with. The previous vet actually yelled at my husband for being 10 minutes late and we live 3 hours away. I really appreciated the kindness and courtesy of the staff and doctor. at Aufusta Ranch. No unnecessary procedures but they are making my dog as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: We recently moved here and so far have taken one of our dogs and our newest baby kitten. We have another doodle but he's not due for shots yet. Yesterday we had our kitten there for a physical and they didn't notice she's covered in fleas! We noticed this morning as this is our 3rd day with her. I called the vet and the girl who answered the phone asked me THREE times "wait what are you asking"...I hung up on the 3rd ask. She wasn't even listening to me ask "what can I give her for fleas since she's so tiny." We will find a new Vet.

Experiencia fantástica: They took my dog right away. The veterinarian was knowledgeable and thorough. They checked my dog’s face wound and, after giving me all the options, they gave him an antibiotic injection. He also has congestive heart failure and they found fluid buildup around his heart and gave me a diuretic medication. The vet also explained to me how I can check his resting respiratory rate at home to better manage his at home care. The tech and vet answered all my questions and gave me an appointment for a follow up in two weeks. I would highly recommend Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital.

Nurse Savannah and Dr. Gonzalez are the only ones who took the time to use their phones to translate and make sure I understood my cat Ribs’ condition. Making the appointment was quick and simple. Our first appointment experience at the clinic was great - everyone was attentive, kind and genuine! Dr. Scott and her assistant, Sharon, were both friendly and present. We did not feel rushed. On the contrary, Dr. Scott explained everything and offered time for questions. My greatest compliments and gratitude goes to Cassie, the assistant manager! I had signed up for the discounted puppy plan which prevented me from having an itemized bill for all the services rendered to submit to our pet insurance. Having explained my predicament to Cassie, she assured me she would get back to me the following day after she had a chance to consult the management. To my surprise, I had the itemized statement in my inbox first thing in the morning - without me having to remind anyone! I find it quite rare to have an office where one feels heard and receive help in a timely manner. Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital has exceeded my expectations and I thank you for your professionalism!

Experiencia fantástica: I have taking my cats to Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital for 4 years. Dr. Hawley and Despirito have been gentle with them and take time to make them comfortable. I took Max in this week and, while Dr. D was talking with me about Max's special prescription food options, she was giving him chin scritches. While Max wasn't happy to be at the vet (what cat is?), I could tell he was enjoying the pets. The staff have always been very caring and I wouldn't take my babies anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought our new puppy in for an initial physical exam and vaccines. Our little guy ended up having an allergic reaction to the vaccine so they told us to bring him back in to be treated. I also like that we just go in for just the monthly injection without pushing for other services to be done. In having a lot of pets, value is important to me. The staff, techs, and veterinarians have all been great!

Experiencia fantástica: Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital took great care of my mom's dog Walden. He went in to get his teeth cleaned. They explained the whole process before hand. When we picked him up the Technician went through the process again and explained what they found. They even took before and after pictures of his teeth. They look great again!

Experiencia fantástica: Kitsu and I were greeted right away. We were a bit early for our appointment but were taken to a room decorated for cats I appreciated this so much because Kitsu was nervous. I was able to take him out of the crate and hold him which made both of us feel much better. I noticed a calming pheromone plug in and thought that was a nice touch. Each person who handled Kitsu did so with tenderness and I could tell they were all comfortable with cats…or new kittens. The office was spotless and was the exam room. Kitsu was comfortable enough to purr while I held him. So this was a win!

Experiencia fantástica: We just got 2 7 week old kittens and needed to find a Veterinarian. Came across Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital, read the reviews and decided to give them a try. It was easy to book an appointment online. The day of our appointment I waited maybe 5-10 minutes for a room. Michelle the Veterinary tech who was very nice came in and took down the information about the kittens, weight, temperature etc and said the Dr was with another patient and would be in shortly. The wait time was not very long and Dr Yamada came in and examined the kittens and asked a few more questions. We already have our 2nd visit scheduled. Everyone I came in contact with, the ladies behind the desk, Michele and Dr Yamada were all very nice. I'm glad I made the decision to give Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital a try. I was not disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: We have been coming to this vets office for years and always had good experiences but it seems as though they have had more turnover than usual lately and these new people are not friendly! They are very standoffish and overall rude. Me and my pup had the WORST experience and let me tell you we Will be finding a new vet. I do not recommend bringing your dog here at all and if I could give them zero stars, I would!

He is very nervous and weighs 82 pounds. I had hurt my back getting my dog into the car. He would not go in the door of the Vet. The Techs were able to lift him and get him in the Vet office. I thank them with my whole heart. A great Vet office!

Experiencia fantástica: If you are looking for the best care from people that you can tell really love your dog/cat as much as you do, Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital is the place to go. We discovered this place several years ago when we had an emergency with our Yorkie "Lexie" after our clinic the one that's inside that big box pet store and were told Lexie could not be seen for over a week. Even after pleading with them, they refused. That's when we called Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital, and after explaining our situation they asked if we could be there in 20 minutes. ARAH has shown us over and over how much they care for their patients and the high quality of care our Lexie receives. We truly believe that if we had stayed with the Vet, that's inside that big box pet store our Lexie would not be with us. Finding ARAH is the best thing that has happened for us and Lexie.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog has a persistent health issue, but the staff’s incredible care and support have made it easy for my anxious dog to feel comfortable coming to the clinic. This clinic provides superb care with reasonable prices. They beat the price of our old vet on dental cleanings, which is how we came here in the first place.
Experiencia fantástica: I am new to the area and had an issue with our baby aka 2.5 year old Goldendoodle/Retriever that needed quick attention. My vet was booked out for days and suggested urgent care; however, I took a shot to see if a local place had any openings. With out hesitation, they took Hampton in on a same day appointment and we felt the love. From the initial phone call to the walking out to my car, I was incredibly impressed, but mostly, overwhelmed with the compassion and understanding they all presented to my pet and I. I was swiftly comforted by the best and most loving and caring staff ever. I was brought to tears when the Dr. and tech came in and just dropped to the floor (literally sat on the floor with my pup) loving on our best boy like he was one of their own. I will be joining this pet family care facility as my new forever home due to location; however, the customer care, which was made very clear, starts first and foremost with your pet, and that is EVERYTHING. Thank you so very much to all the staff I interacted with (I cannot remember everyone's name) from the sweet gal on the phone that said "come now" after speaking with the Dr., my tech Savannah H. the other tech with the cool Halloween nails, and last but not Dr. Gonzalez!!! I am so happy we found you!
Experiencia fantástica: I had to try to get my cat in before leaving town and Augusta Ranch was able to see her the same day. The service was quick and friendly. My car seems to be doing better on the meds. I guess the only downside I could mention would be cost but I honestly don’t know how their pricing compares to other vets in area for similar services plus we currently have a one income family so we have to be very frugal so any $ was too much right now.

Experiencia positiva: I've seen this practice go downhill since we started going here in 2019 with many recent changes in staff. I was on the fence about changing vets, and what finalized my decision was when I called a couple months ago to let them know that our 13 year old dog had passed away and the receptionist only said, "Ok, thanks for letting us know. I'll update it in the system." We now see a different vet.
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my furbabies here for years. Love the entire staff. They’ve helped us thru kitty cancer, doggie diabetes, doggie kidney failure and many other senior furbaby ailments as we adopt seniors….The knowledge and compassion is outstanding!
Experiencia negativa: I had a dog suffering from kidney disease and every time I took him in for care he was seen by a different vet, none of whom were even slightly familiar with his case. Even worse, after the vet would spend less than 5 minutes with us, they'd leave the room and a vet tech would come in and try to up sell very expensive and unnecessary tests. For example, during one visit, one of the techs tried to get me to agree to over $400 in Lyme disease and heartworm tests on a dog dying from kidney disease. There are no ticks in the Phoenix valley and mosquito borne diseases are non-existent in this desert climate. I'm assuming the vet techs must get some sort of commission for pushing these unnecessary tests. I won't be going back.

This includes recommending prevention to keep them safe from parasites that do cause disease in this area. Experiencia fantástica: We brought our boy, Rocco into Augusta Ranch recently for his Protruding hemorrhoid. they worked with us every which way understanding we were strapped for cash. They took care of it with a reasonable cost. I took Rocco home and found that not only was the surgery a success, but they also went above and beyond and trimmed up his nails and his horrible paws and now my boy can walk without pain and is actually for the first time in a long time acting like a real dog! Thank you ladies over there at Augusta Ranch for doing your due diligence! I will definitely recommend to others.

Experiencia negativa: I have taken my 4 dogs to this clinic at various times through the last 13 years. Today I took my one of my dogs into the clinic today to have a small lump looked at. Prices were discussed in the beginning, however the prices kept going up and up. Even after I told the technician I did not agree with their mandatory immunizations she took the price out of my cost, the veternarian insisted that it be done. There should be a better discussion of what is mandatory prices for office visits and immunizations before they do any testing. Years ago it was hard to get a same day appointment at this clinic, now I understand why it was easy to get my dog seen today. Their business practices seem shady and I will never take my pets to their office again.

Experiencia fantástica: update 8/28/24: We still love ARAH! I've seen the negative reviews for the new vet, Dr Gonzolas, so I was a little hesitant to see her. I'm glad I did. She was great. My oldest dog had a littermate diagnosed with IVDD, so we wanted to get him checked out. She gave us a range of potential options and good advice on what was needed versus what was the absolute gold standard. She didn't push any expensive options on us. And my guy is very nervous at the vet, but she went super slow with him and won him over. We bring all six of our furry ones here, and the care is top notch. Update 4/14/22: Still the best! Our furry ones are all older now, but the care they receive is still top-notch. From dental cleanings to arthritis treatment to palliative care, I couldn't ask for a better team. Original Review: The staff is great. From the receptionists, to the techs, to the vets. It's obvious they all love animals and have the experience and training to provide excellent care. Our fur babies always get exactly what they need, without trying to upsell us on more expensive treatments. We love ARAH!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m really shocked at the bad reviews. I’ve been coming here for a year now I believe and I bring all 3 dogs here. Dr Scott is great and the vet techs are always pleasant. I have my daughter bringing her dogs here now too. Things have gotten better here. My first visit was disappointing but I gave it another shot and I’m happy I did. I have an elderly dog who is sick and they have been great in keeping him comfortable.

Experiencia negativa: Well - Augusta Ranch did it again. They earned the previous 1 star review for the service they provided. They responded by simply saying I was wrong and they are right. In addition, with complete disregard for our 12 yr old Great Pyrenees’ health and well being, they refuse to refill a needed medication as we look for a new practice. I just want others to know about our experiance, and the lack of cooperation we received. It’s shocking that in a challenging situation, August Ranch chose not to put our pets needs first. I ended my last review with Buyer Beware if you choose the practice.
Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our fur buddy, Bandit to Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital since we brought him home a year ago. Everyone there has been amazing. He loves going to the vet! Dr. Scott is wonderful with him. Sounds crazy, but everyone has been so sweet to him that He thinks it’s a treat to go there. Thanks for treating our Bandit so well.
Experiencia fantástica: We have used Augusta Ranch before and liked them. This time we had to take our dog to them for a follow up after spending two and a half days at an emergency vet. Our dog has anxiety real bad and therefore can be difficult to handle. The vet tech and the vet both handled it all in stride. They gave him some more meds, explained everything in detail and were helpful. We will continue to use them
Experiencia fantástica: I'm relatively new here but they have treated my elderly dog with warmth and patience. I think the best part is that I can see Dr. Scott wants to do what is best for her patients. She probably could have convinced me to get an expensive procedure done, but realized it was unnecessary and gave advice as if it was her own dog. This makes me trust her opinion because I know she isn't just looking for easy ways to make money as I have seen with other vets.
