Experiencia fantástica: I have not yet written a review of VCA University but my experience today made me want to write one. My boyfriend and I have taken both our little fur babies to VCA for quite some time. Recently our little sweet baby Luna was diagnosed at the ER with FIP. They immediately treated her and gave us a treatment plan. This news was rough on us and the poor girl. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Settle and her technician whose name I am not remembering but she was amazing, for her follow up visit. They were so attentive, helpful, compassionate, and friendly. They listened to everything we had to say and asked us follow up questions or asked if we had questions. On top of that they have gone out of their way to accommodate us and our time and our Luna by making it easier for our follow ups without having to stress out our girl every time she needs to be weighed. In our opinion they have gone above and beyond to make sure that we as owners are comfortable and that our sweet girl feels safe and comfortable with them. I recommend enrolling in care club if you’re skeptical on the price it helps a lot! I highly recommend anyone to visit the Vets here but especially Dr. Settle.

Experiencia negativa: Update for business reply: lowering from two star to one star for generic business reply and expectation I reach out with more information. The information needed is there. Shows there is no serious effort to review customer feedback but they want to be seen as responsive. Decent facility and providers, went a little slower than preferred but that happens. What brings this down to a two star experience overall is the pricing and how they hide it. It's becoming more standard practice to be forthcoming with pricing for services and VCA does not share that until you are in the room with them. They know the pricing, they don't want you to know until you have already committed time and effort to be there so you are less likely to walk away. Comparing to other clinics this is on the high end for price, for average services, that they are hiding to try and sneak it past their customers. I would not recommend working with this facility, or if you do inquire about the prices beforehand to see if they are comparable to your other options.

Experiencia positiva: Front staff today are rude. I was on hold for 5 minutes to try to get records straightened out for my dogs boarding. I hung up and called back and they tried to put me on hold again. I told them I’d been on hold for 5 minutes and I got a snarky response that there were only two of them in the office and two people ahead of me. I would have been fine with that response had the time not been snarky. I don’t care what kind of day you’re having. I’m trying to work too and I can’t work if I’m on hold with you for several minutes. I would have given less stars but I’ve had better experiences in the past. I’m only posting this to alert management. I get it’s the hospitals but I wasn’t rude. That was uncalled for.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve used VCA Animal Hospitals for years for the reliability and decent staff. Having recently moved to Phoenix, I brought my dog here for his latest vaccines and am quite happy with them.

Experiencia fantástica: They treat their patients like the family members that they are. No less important than human family. I like that. We were there for a check up and vaccines. I like using the VCA app for making appointments, getting receipts and referring back to past appointments.

My dog Apollo recently needed surgery, and I was incredibly anxious, not only about his health but also the potential costs. From the very beginning, the staff was kind, professional, and understanding. Dr. Koch, who performed Apollo’s surgery, was amazing, skilled, thorough, and truly compassionate. What meant the most to me was how he worked with me financially to help keep the cost down without compromising the quality of care. It was clear that he genuinely cared about Apollo’s well-being, and that kind of support is something I’ll never forget. Apollo is now recovering beautifully, and I’m so grateful to have a vet that treats pets and their owners with such respect and empathy. They will be the only vet I will use from here on out! I highly recommend University Animal Hospital and Dr. Koch to anyone looking for trustworthy, supportive, and expert veterinary care. Thank you again for everything!

Experiencia fantástica: I was scheduled later in the week but Roxanne called me and helped me get an earlier appointment to get my kitten seen. She was able to work with my schedule and you could really tell she cared about every animal that came in the door. All the staff is amazing and provided amazing education about what was going on! The visit was affordable and they were able to provide a military discount.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been taking our pets to VCA for about 15 years. They have always been great. Providing quick service and a great waiting room with water, coffee, and tea. They have a separate cat waiting room, so those furbabies don't get so stressed around all the dogs. The technicians and veterinarians have been loving, gentle, and knowledgeable with our pets. I definitely recommend them. UPDATE: We have now been with them almost 20 years and they are still fantastic. Unfortunately we had to let our Chihuahua go over the rainbow bridge. We took him there and they were so amazingly helpful and caring. He had all of his care with them over the years and we had him over 16 years. They had a special room with doggie snacks and a very calming atmosphere. I just brought our other furbaby to get a cyst checked out. They were so helpful and explained their recommended treatment. The surgery they recommended was a little out of our budget so the vet gave me a print out of some lower cost options. We had a new technician (I think that's what they are called) and he took the extra time to explain everything and was so personable and caring. I always leave there very satisfied with their service. And as a bonus they really make us all feel cared for.

Experiencia negativa: I stopped by the clinic today and overheard a male voice yelling at what I imagine are other workers coming from the back. It was not professional, in my opinion, unsure if I will be returning to this location.

Experiencia positiva: I would’ve given this place five stars but it’s extremely expensive. They have great customer service and they’re great with the animals just a bit pricey!

Experiencia fantástica: We have been going here since 1990. My dog growing up was seen by Dr. Bastek. Now I am married and my dog is seen by Dr. Koch and Dr. Rudolph. We are thankful for their care of our dogs.

Experiencia positiva: I would strongly suggest that you ask if the tests They are asking to run have anything to do with THAT visit and THOSE symptoms as I think, they tend to try to sneak these things in to pad the bill I’m sorry to say, but I’ve experienced it more than a couple of times there. So if you hear the words We would like to check…What you should be hearing is what I’d like to do is pad the bill an extra $100. Would that be OK with you? and then, if you agree too quickly be prepared for oh yes, I notice we haven’t checked this in six months. We could go ahead and run that for you too. If you like… it’s only another $75…, I feel that they are trained to know when you’re at your most Vulnerable and go for the $$$

In one of the most painful moments of my life, your compassion, warmth, and gentle care meant more than words can say. The kindness you showed to both Ali and me will never be forgotten. Here's some highlights. - Will NOT transmit prescriptions to online pet med pharmacies such as chewy - Care Club entrapment: Will try to back charge you if you need to end subscription. - Misdiagnosed a typical case of hormonal incontinence TWICE - Doctor seemed aloof/not listening on multiple occasions

Experiencia fantástica: We were there to ease our senior family members pain and suffering. The staff was so kind and gentle and professional. They eased our fur baby home to our Father. So grateful for their kindness and support.

Experiencia fantástica: Found a lost dog and brought her here to check if she was microchipped. The staff was so incredibly nice and helpful. Gave her a quick health exam, checked for a chip, gave us an unopened bag of dog food, and provided us with plenty of suggestions on what to do next and where to go and never asked for any money. I will absolutely be bringing my own dog here if ever needed and highly highly recommend. Thank you so much!! (P.s. the owners were found the same day!)

She looked for alternatives. The staff were all very kind and you could tell they loved their jobs. I would highly recommend this VCA University Hospital. Experiencia negativa: Below average customer service... I called several times about my vca care club charges, manager MEVER called me back every time i called they where to busy to talk. Never received any of the credits i was supposed to be sent, and they kept 300 for a plan i did not agree to renew. i had two pets on vca care clubs and told them id come back if i wanted to renew, they ofcourse set up the auto renew for just ONE of my pets for 100 a month.. oddly enought not the other pet that was only 65 a month.. Its been months and still yet to hear back from anyone in this clinic... So beware of the "auto renewal" even if you tell them to stop it..

Experiencia fantástica: Saturday night, we found an abandoned kitten. It was only a few days old. We tried to bottle feed it and keep it alive until we could find a rescue. It was not eating so we made an appointment Sunday morning with VCA. The staff was compassionate and told us that the kitten was not doing well and needed experienced and intensive care. They suggested we go to Lost our Home rescue to find a foster. They were caring and did not charge us for the visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Just had to put down our sweet girl Myshka, been a long battle trying to help with her sickness and I’m forever grateful to Dr Stormy and Dr Rudolph for everything they’ve done to help. Unfortunately we were unable to find the reason for Myshka’s suffering but the amount of care provided never faltered. Thank you all for everything.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Rudolph is amazing. My 18 y/o Chihuahua has never had a good experience with a vet. his chart from previous animal hospitals labeled him as “fiesty”. He was so calm and relaxed in Dr. Ruldolphs arms, she was great at explaining his needs in a way I could understand. she gave me all my options and never passed judgment on me as an owner. My fears of vets were gone once we were seen by Dr. Ruldolph. The second we walked into VCA we were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. 10/10 recommend

Experiencia positiva: Good people and I like the facility. I feel as if they are really about helping my dogs, but their upsell procedures are confusing and pressure and always leave me angry.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a fan of VCA hospitals overall, but this location is especially exceptional. They take amazing care of my fur baby whether it’s an annual exam or she’s coming in for concern. The front desk staff, vet technicians, & vets are all very personable & never hesitate to answer my questions with a smile. When they take care of my baby, I am never worried. Going to the vet is already a scary enough experience & they definitely help alleviate that stress. Thank you for everything you do!

Experiencia negativa: I called to ask how much a dental cleaning for a dog would be. She said it depends if they need extractions or work done and I said OK what if they need nothing done just a cleaning how much would it be? She said she doesn’t know youd have to have the dog doctor look at him. to me that’s just crazy because you should know the price of a basic cleaning. I just said ok I’ll go somewhere where I can get a price before lol.

Experiencia fantástica: The best place to take your animals hands down. The staff is amazing all around: front desk, techs, and doctors. Everyone is incredibly friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. I've seen many of the doctors and they are all amazing. You can tell everyone who works here really has a love of animals and a passion for their care. This team has seen my dog and cat through their share of mishaps and general care over the last 6 years and I feel so lucky to have such an amazing team to help keep them healthy. Really could not recommend this place enough 1000/10.

Experiencia negativa: The most incompetent group of people I have ever had to deal with. Every single time for the past 15 years there is a problem with my animals visit. The only thing Lee decent about this place is Dr. Rudolph. She is the only reason I continue to come back to this crap veterinary office.

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointing experience with the staff yesterday , they called me to tell me they needed to reschedule my appointment from the Friday to now come in same day and I was running a few minutes late I walk in and they tell me they removed me off the schedule and will no longer see for today and I need to reschedule my appointment over being 8 minutes late. After driving 35 minutes to their office and after changing my plans to accommodate their request to change my original appointment. then they want me to come back the next day and say they need to prioritize other patients with sick pets over mine. Well my puppy is sick (whole reason for going to the vet in the first place) and she deserves to be seen so I guess she doesn’t matter. I have never had a bad experience using vca before but this was my first time using this location. It will be my last time using this location I will be using my previous vet from now on.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first ever ‘personal pet’ and have been going here for a few years with him. They are all so kind and helpful with any questions, concerns, etc. Very great care here.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love this animal hospital. I have taken many of my beloved pets there for care and always found them to be both compassionate and professional. There was something truly special about the way this hospital was run. But this last time was like night and day. The front staff was indifferent, the vet had the "making the rounds" vibes. They have lost what made them better than the rest. (And, of course, it was $600 for blood tests.) The entire experience was mediocre. I won't be returning after years of entrusting them with my pets.

Experiencia negativa: Booked appointment for two kittens to get their required rabies shots. Kittens had previously been to the clinic in February 2024, 7 months ago, and had a wellness exam. No issues were found with their health in February. When I booked the appointment for this September visit, I checked the box for shots, just shots. Getting there ,as usual, the first thing the vet tech asks, “Are there any issues with the kittens?” No issues very healthy kittens, they just need their shots. So, tech takes each kitten out individually for about eight mins each. At the end, tech comes back with the Vet. She tells me my cats look fine, except one of them needs her teeth cleaned. Finally, she asks if I have any other questions or concerns? I say, no, they are very healthy they just needed their shots. The bill, $344 dollars WTHeck! Seemed “kinda”high. I got home looked over the bill, thought they must have made a mistake. Called them back. Apparently, they charge you $112 dollars per cat for a “Wellness Exam” to see if they are healthy enough to receive said shots. . . MY KITTENS ARE VERY HEALTHY, THEY HAVE NO ISSUES; THEY JUST NEEDED THEIR USUAL SHOTS. That “Wellness Exam” along with the cost were unexpected and wasn’t made clear up front. The Vet and staff were friendly though. The ” Wellness Exam” not so much:( P.S. As I was writing this essay VCA called me back and were generously kind enough to take $20 dollars off of the $344 bill.

Experiencia fantástica: The team over at VCA university has always been really good, and they have always accommodated my dog aggressive dog Rocco, making sure to clear the other pets and get him straight into his room without being all stressed out. But they really won me over for good when we had to put him down last month. It was such a better experience than it would have been anywhere else. They didn’t rush us at all and were incredibly thoughtful and helpful. They have treats available for the send off, tons of things dogs aren’t allowed to have. My Rocco went down licking peanut butter with a belly that was about to burst, true to form on how he has lived his life. It was such a nice way to bring some light to a really hard day, and I’m so glad I have those memories. Thanks to everyone at the VCA university from Rocco and his family.

Experiencia negativa: EDIT: I felt the need to update my review. I will no longer be taking my dog here due to the extremely disappointing appointments recently. First, staff did not care to connect with my dog and help her feel comfortable during her appointments. One veterinarian in particular clearly did not want to interact with my dog and made no effort to help her feel safe. Dogs can absolutely feel this energy! She is a nervous rescue pup, and it was a stressful experience for her to be rushed through the appointment with new people who didn’t give her the time of day to settle or even have a treat to build positive associations. Secondly, there was huge miscommunication in her last visit in which they called me 30 minutes before her appointment to cancel it, even though I had already sedated her hours prior, and was on my way to the appointment. This is unacceptable and they lost my trust. Overall, staff is rude, impatient, and needs to take some accountability! Past Review- My dog just had her first vet appointment at University Animal Hospital, and overall it was a great experience! Quick and easy, the staff was kind, and the vet was so patient and understanding with my dog. They went above and beyond, highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: First time here today and the entire staff exceeded my expectations!!!! After going from vet to vet because of either poor customer service, lack of care or just pure salesman I finally can deep breathe in relief! Upon arrival was greeted by welcoming and friendly front desk staff. Was even kind enough to bring my fur baby water and water bowl. The highlight was DR. LINDSEY!!!! First of all he was On time! Big deal for us … His Knowledge, compassion friendliness and always asked if I had Any more questions and smile set him apart! I never felt rushed like past experiences. He was very insightful and gave great options and great listener concerning my pet. He didn’t push to upsale or anything. Even my pup was well behaved with him!!! (And he’s anti-vet) lol… The tech was also very helpful and kind and I appreciated that all my needs and concerns were met! The place was clean, peaceful had good air flow didn’t even smell like animals. Haha Def have a long time client now. I thank God for leading me here. God bless you all and continue to stand out from the rest!

Experiencia fantástica: Very clean facility! Exceptionally. We took a tour of the whole building when looking into boarding. We are more interested in a ranch or family-style setting where our pup can run free. That doesn’t mean this Animal Hospital isn’t a great option for the service it provides. We felt the animals were well cared for from what we saw. Our pup was seen for a check-up and vaccinations. The entire team was warm and professional. Jaime (if I remember correctly) gave us the tour and his saint like nature was ASMR inducing. So very kind. PS- the building may look small from the entrance but it’s very large! I was surprised.

Experiencia fantástica: This VCA location exceeded my expectations. They look great care of my girl and everyone was very kind and helpful! My cat vomited in her carrier on the way there and they took the carrier back and cleaned it for me. I will travel from chandler to this location every time!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Coke and his team were awesome. They let us come in with short notice because Roxie ate through her stitches. His team was also really friendly felt like family.

Experiencia fantástica: My cats got fleas. Being a crazy cat mom I freaked out. They were able to get me in within a couple days as a new patient and the Dr & assistant were great!

Experiencia negativa: This place is WAAAAY overpriced. 115$ for the office visit alone. Kitten first shots will be 300$+. Dog annual shots run 250$. Plus tax on everything. Price gouging should be illegal. So unless you are having a true veterinarian emergency avoid this place. Cheaper and better options available.

Experiencia negativa: Ridiculous. I live 13 min away and had a 7:30am appt, the only one available weeks in advance. Had trouble getting her in the crate but still left and called ahead and said I was going to be 10 min late. They said don't bother coming... 10 min really?? 10 min. Your not the Pope. Grow up. I gave a courtesy call and still got sent away while on my way there.

Experiencia fantástica: First time here, brought my girl Luci for some itchy skin. Their veterinary team is awesome! From the techs to the Dr, they got her feeling way better, and listened to all my concerns. Not to mention how quick I was roomed and seen! Very efficient

Experiencia fantástica: We had a Scottish terrier 7 years old who is very sick and Doctor Koch was amazing even checking up with us during treatment & after despite it being at the other hospital and us losing him in the end. I feel they are honest and provide great service giving you options without judgment.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is fantastic! my cat couldn’t stop vomiting, I called on a Sunday morning and they saw us about two hours later. I was put at ease immediately after walking in. The staff is so friendly, the amazing receptionists were incredibly kind and Dr. Lindsey was compassionate and understanding. He explained what he was going to do to treat my cat and answered all my questions patiently. We even got a free tote bag with goodies in it. My cat was feeling better very soon after we got home. (So was I) Thank you for everything you all did for Peeves:) P.s. He loves the paper tunnel he got in the goodie bag!

Experiencia fantástica: Words cannot express how much I am continually floored by the service of all staff members here. They go above and beyond to follow up with me about my dogs, work with me on making decisions about bills, and genuinely loving on my two pups. They've gotten me in in emergent situations and provided flexibility of scheduling when I've needed it. You guys are amazing!!

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my pup in because she had an abscess growing.. Doctors took her in immediately and found additional wounds that were left untreated by the vet before (who preformed her surgery)! I am so grateful for the way they took her in, no hesitation & started treating her the right way. Everyone here is always so kind & friendly. Most definitely recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: Wow! We had an OUTSTANDING experience with the EXCEPTIONAL staff at VCA. It started at 7 am this morning with Sophia who greeted us with a welcoming and professional manner. We explained why we were there since we had no appointment for my grand dog Jake. She quickly called the vet tech and we were introduced to Gonzo. Gonzo was cheery and very kind and was so gentle with Jake. He assessed Jake and went to relay his findings to the Veterinarian. When he return he shared that we could leave Jake. I was so comfortable leaving Jake since I knew that they truly care for their fur patients from my past experiences with the staff there. Later that morning I received a call from Dr. Show and she explained Jake’s diagnosis with such thoroughness and patience. She was simply INCREDIBLE! We picked up Jake and Gonzo the vet tech still exude a happy disposition he took the time and relayed and shared Jake’s after care instructions. Oh, I need to mention that Autumn was great as well she took Jake’s intake information with efficiency and grace. I am always impressed by the staff and Veterinarian whenever I take my fur family for any type of care. I will continue to RECOMMEND and REFER family and friends to VCA at Tempe.

Experiencia fantástica: My dogs have seen both Dr Lindsay and Dr Garza here and both were great! I love that VCA offers a care plan where it makes it easy to budget for expenses every month and Dr Garza was more than willing to write a paper prescription for heartworm meds when I told her I found it cheaper on chewy. In a time where veterinarians and vet techs are overworked and undervalued I feel so grateful for the level of care my pets receive from all staff here.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been coming here for about 4 years. Dr. Show did a leg amputation for my cat and was absolutely amazing. My cat ended up getting an infection, but Dr. Lindsey treated him for the infection and was so wonderful to work with. The staff and doctors go above and beyond here. Today, my fiance brought home our cat from a follow up appointment, and they placed a little sticker and drew a heart on his bandaid. It literally made me smile and my whole week. Thanks for so being so kind, understanding, and warm. You are in great hands here.

Experiencia fantástica: Didn't care for the scheduling experience with the VCA at 2500 S Hardy but this VCA was able to get us in the next day to see our sick kitten. From the reception, vet visit to check-out the whole staff is warm and welcoming. Our kitten is feeling so much better! Highly recommend this VCA location.

Experiencia fantástica: The most compassionate Vet staff we have ever dealt with. Dr Garza is amazing and truly cared about our fur baby. Our pup got the best care the last couple years of her life and Dr Garza was so caring with our whole family when our Izzy went over the rainbow bridge. Experiencia fantástica: This has been my dogs vet for over 10 years. His first Dr here was Dr Flagenheimer before he retired. Now we see Dr Show ( my dogs primary Dr.), Dr. Garza who does his imaging and helps with his care along with Dr. Koch and Dr Lindsey (they helped my dog on emergency basis when his primary wasn't available, on separate occasions of course) and lastly Dr Rudolph who recently was asked to approve a perscription for my dogs refill when his Dr was not available, She reviewed his file and noticed he needed a test. I was confused and didn't understand (not knowing at the time, it was needed every year to make sure his meds didnt need to be adjusted), i didnt schedule the test, then I asked for his Primary Dr to call me back, she did and explained it all to me. I felt much better after that call. :) This team of Drs are great and I'm very Thankful! Plus the rest of the team from the front of the building (everyone you speak with when you call or need assistance from when you are there) to everyone in the back that works with these Drs and my doggie. You are all are awesome! This office along with the staff are and have been apart of my dogs routine since he was a puppy. They are awesome and I wouldn't want my dog to go to any other place for his care. My dog is very complicated (with many medical issues and multiple surgeries) at times it can get very stressful. Im very thankful they take care of guy and have patients with me while helping me understand my dogs case. Thank you!!!

Everyone is helpful, kind, understanding, and really works towards finding the best solutions for your price point, family, and pet. I 100% recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: I saw all the good reviews and was excited to try a vet that was open on weekends but I cannot recommend this practice. The vet was nice but the staff is incredibly rude. I took my kitten for her visit and her routine stool test came back two days later positive for a parasite. I missed the call about the results and called back with some questions. They said they didn’t allow speaking to the vet but could pass on my question about if I needed to treat my other cat but when they called back they didn’t answer that question and told me not to let them use the same litter box. They’d already been sharing a litter box and when I told them that and again asked if I needed to have my other cat treated they said if I had any more questions I needed to schedule and appointment. Then I went to pick up the meds which the voicemail said would be ready in the morning. I arrived at 1 pm and they said that because I didn’t follow protocol and wait for the notice the meds were ready I would need to wait. While I didn’t mind waiting, no one told me there was a protocol around picking me up, I’d just been told it would be ready in the morning. They talked down to me like a child at every interaction. I called my old vet asking about if my other cat should be treated. After sending in the kittens results they let me speak to the vet and said to preventatively treat her and to bring in a stool sample. The cost of the test and treatment for my cat at my old vet for my other cat was 40 dollars cheaper than the cost of the test alone at VCA. Plus they let me speak to a vet and their staff was polite, helpful, and respectful. My cats results came back negative the very next day and they told me to continue treatment just to make sure she didn’t get it while the kitten was getting her treatment. I took my kittens follow up test to make sure the parasite was gone back here as she hasn’t established care at my old vet yet (though she is getting her last round of vaccines with my old vet next week). They told me I’d hear back between Wednesday and Friday last week on the results. I called today (Sunday, a full week after I’d taken the sample in) to check on them and they told me I’d have to wait until Tuesday for the vet I saw to be back in to give me the results. They won’t let me know them even if I’m fine with not getting the follow up plan. I’ve spent far more money here than I would have if I’d just taken her to my old vet. I’ve also had a much worse experience. Save your money, save your time. Don’t go here. The staff is awful and so rude. If you want a good vet, Phoenix Veterinary Center on Baseline road is much better. While they aren’t open on the weekends they have much better prices and much better staff. That is where I will take my pets moving forward.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely Amazing! I took my little girl Daisy in for a checkup and I was greeted with the friendliest staff I’ve ever met! They were so sweet to my dog and she loved them. This VCA location was also able to get us the appointment in under 48 hours. 10/10

Experiencia fantástica: This place is a Godsend and every worker is an angel. I have been coming here for over 10 years. I recently had to take my English bulldog in for emergency services, and unfortunately, he did not make it through his surgery. The doctor stayed extra time after his shift to provide the care my boy needed. They knew how shaken up I was and walked me through everything clearly with all possible options. When we knew he wasn't going to make it, they gave me the time to say goodbye. They didn't rush me. They were so caring and grieved my loss with me.

Experiencia fantástica: This review is long overdue! Our little terrier mix Daisy had an eye bulging out of her head all of a sudden. I am, admittedly, a helicopter parent and was frantic, but the VCA team was so incredibly patient and answered my list of endless hypothetical questions. While it took a process of elimination to figure out what was causing the bulge in Daisy's eye, Dr. Rudolph and the team didn't give up; I fully expected a shoulder shrug and "we don't know what is wrong; call us if it gets worse". Instead, they persevered until they found the source of the problem, and then came up with a plan to eliminate the issue. Daisy healed perfectly and is back to normal. This was an incredibly traumatic experience to see our little dog in such rough shape, but Dr. Rudolph and every team member we interacted with was informed, gentle, patient, and honest. I did not feel pressured to go forward with any procedure, or up-selled on anything that was superfluous. I cannot say enough good things about this clinic, the doctors, and the team. THANK YOU!!!

Experiencia positiva: Do not allow the DRs here to vaccinate when your pet the is sick… Dr gave my dog a rabies vaccine and it had been downhill from there. Internal medicine specialist vets were mortified when they got the records… My family has been coming here for 40 years and sad to say i am moving my pets records to another vet. Dr Koch is great but they can never get me into see him. The newer vets just run expensive tests and then offer to keep running more. It’s like the only schooling they received was test reading. The first two visits they did not even take my dog’s temperature, which turned out to be 105! My dog is getting sicker every day and not eating and they don’t even bother to follow up after spending $2000. I had to take her to the emergency VCA office just to get some medicine to give her a little appetite. Of course the emergency VCA clinic wanted another $2000 to run the exact same tests that were performed a week prior. Maybe. It’s VCA bonusing staff on the number of tests performed… There is some good ..they are more efficient and appointments are on time. They do try to work you in if your pet needs immediate attention and they have an efficient front office staff. The office also got a nice facelift. $4000 between two VCA offices and all I have is a best guess of valley fever (tested negative which can happen). Meanwhile my dog is miserable and has lost ten pounds in 2.5 weeks.

From new puppies to end of life and everything in between, we have received excellent care. The doctors, nurses, techs, boarding staff, and administrative team are all kind and caring professionals.

Experiencia fantástica: The vets here are fantastic and everyone in the practice truly cares about animals. Most recently my cats saw Dr. Lindsey who is a wonderfully kind and caring vet. I am also so impressed with the compassionate care they provide at end of life. They squeezed me in at the end of the day when it was my cat's time, had a serene space for the final goodbye and gave me a pawprint. They even sent a sympathy card and made a donation in my pets name to the Phoenix Zoo. I've been to a few other vets in the area but always come back to UAH, they're reasonably priced but more importantly the level of care far exceeds other offices.

Experiencia fantástica: We adopted a puppy from the humane society. VCA and AZ humane society work together. The entire staff was so pleasant. Our appointment time was kept, and we were in and out in about 30 minutes total. The doctor who assisted us was Dr. Lindsay. He was very sweet and attentive to our pup.

This was our third try at a vet and I don't ever want to anywhere else. We love everyone there, but Dr.Garza is especially great as she's the doctor we see the most. Experiencia fantástica: Im absolutely speechless with this veterinarian clinic . The staff is beyond wonderful , super kind , friendly and extremely professional. They also take exceptional time listening to what is going on with your fur baby and ask you questions to make sure they get as much detailed notes as possible . VCA animal hospital, gives you the honest truth about what’s going on with your animal . They aren’t forceful when it comes to different medical options for your pets needs. I brought my little Bunny in who was just recently spayed and wasn’t doing well. After I picked her up you could tell that she was feeling a lot better ! They nurtured her , gave her some feedings, we did blood work and X-rays to make sure nothing serious was going on. And through all of this the Amazing vet kept us in the loop during everything. We love this place !

I wanted a Vet's office to do it (she is 12) so we went to VCA. Well...goodbye old vet, hello to the most compassionate staff and Drs in the industry, my sweet girl is officially a patient there and we are so thrilled. Dr. Garza even addressed some other issues we had been questioning. Thank You VCA and Emily for making all of this happen. We are beyond grateful!!!

Experiencia positiva: Nice staff, helpful but I wish their system would connect nationwide. I travel with my dog and she’s visited VCA all over the country but this time they could not pull up her records and needed to start from scratch so I took her somewhere else more reasonable pricing but it’s prob not the staff fault, it’s their system that needs upgrading at this location. Overall a bit expensive but it’s worth it for someone like me that travels and dog can get sick or hurt anywhere in the country and they can pick up from where we left off or refill meds by looking at their system. Saves time and money like this.

All of the vets, tech, & office staff just everyone treats us like family and we definitely feel the love an excellent care they provide for our furry babies. The vets and front desk staff are very kind and friendly and have your pet and your wallet's best interests in mind simultaneously (which can be hard to find)! Definitely recommend!

I completely trust them with the care of my animals and have recommended them to several friends in the area. They take the time to explain your options throughout the course of treatment. Experiencia negativa: customer with university animal hospital for 3 years, and during that time this place has gotten more corporate, more expensive, less helpful and generally aloof to the actual pets they treat. the ownership has spent plenty of money remodeling the location only to keep it understaffed and probably squeezing every dime out of each patient while delivering worse and worse care. my 13yo pug has been coughing consistently for weeks. when i first brought him in when it first started he was vomiting. they did no scans no bloodwork. gave cough suppressant and meds. those did not help and next appointment i could get was 30 days away. every time you go in w/o appt the up charge you. as im waiting a week or two goes by from when i made the next appointment. some doctor i don’t know and has never seen my dogs calls to ask if i want an appointment. by this time the pug has fought the cough back and so i tell them ill just wait. appointment arrives and they cant even see me. just letting me know over and over to wait. whats an appointment for? do i get a refund or discount since i am not going to be seen on schedule? i walked out of a vets office. they offered an appointment over a week later to give my other two pugs that they have been marketing and reminding me to bring in sending emails and mailers. how you cannot administer a few vaccines (which i have consistently done every appointment for 3 years) and seriously call yourself a pet hospital. all in all if you want to wait overpay and get treated like a number, take your pets to vca university animal “hospital”

Experiencia negativa: The last straw was when the doctor could have recommended a cheap fast treatment to eliminate the possibility of parasites or bacteria causing the problem first, but instead recommended, or rather, INSISTED that we start off with the expensive long-term treatments to see if that fixes the problem. The doctor was visibly angry with my sense of freedom of choice. I had been going there for years but never saw the same doctor twice. It seemed to always be an entirely new staff each time I was there and nobody seemed happy. Regularly I had trouble getting a good appointment, either having to take time off from work to make it for an opening or had to wait weeks before I can be seen. I have since found a couple vets that are better in all these areas.

Experiencia fantástica: This place was fantastic and got my Max back on his feet... literally! We came in for a nail removal, after my brute ripped a couple nails. It was a bit deeper than we initially thought at home AND he has diagnosed extra brittle nails this visit. So when we got home, it must have re-opened and there was blood. Every step. It was more than what I was comfortable with caring for myself. I called them back and they advised this is abnormal, to bring him back and they would handle it. We got there as soon as possible, and they got us back very quickly. Max was taken and cared for swiftly and without question. They got it cauterized again and rewrapped. They reassured he would need a little additional monitoring due to the nature and him being a bit older but otherwise Max and I were well accomodated and he is making a great recovery as I type this! You can tell they are compassionate and truly care for the animals they treat. Thank you to the entire staff Special thanks to Dr. Rudolph, Miranda, and Sabrena for caring for my furbaby!

We recently had to have our 14 year old dachshund put to rest unexpectedly and it was a hard time for our family. The people here have been so incredibly kind and supportive through the whole process. I really can’t thank them enough. When we eventually get another dog I will for sure continue to come here.

Experiencia fantástica: At the end of December 2021 our family dog passed. It was sudden and fast and devastating. Because of the pandemic A LOT of affordable places around us were booked up, or not taking new patients. We were very relieved to find this facility. We just wanted a place that could cremate our dog and give us back the ashes. VCA went above an beyond. They were sooo kind, and honestly in that situation that's all we needed. Every. Single. Person. We encountered during the whole process, was kind and had a soft tone, every one of them expressed their condolences. The woman who was at the front desk hugged me when I started crying when I picked up the remains. And when we thought that was the last of it? No, a couple days later we got a card in the mail that everyone signed with condolences. The company that actually does the cremation also send something. THEN about a month after, we got a little noticed in the mail from the PHX zoo to let us know VCA actually made a donation in our pets name. WHAT?! Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

As new dog parents, we were concerned when Nadja began to have digestive issues a few weeks after we took her home from the rescue shelter. The day after Christmas I called and was able to get her in the same day. The receptionist, vet tech, and veterinarian were so knowledgeable and sincere! I felt like we received exceptional care. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Show in particular was amazing with my cat Oliver, who had to go in to get a broken tooth fixed. She took the time to really explain what was going on to me and to make sure all of my questions were answered. It is clear that she is extremely caring and knowledgeable at what she does!
