Fantastic experience: This was our first visit with our 2 new kittens. We were very impressed from check-in to check-out. The office is clean and doesn't smell like an animal hospital Dr. Z spent time with us answering all of our questions. We didn't feel rushed at all. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I recently visited Town Center Animal Hospital based on the information on their website, which states they accept walk-ins. The site also promotes a free initial exam for new clients, including a wellness exam for all dogs and cats—healthy or sick. I arrived 30 minutes after they opened with my small Maltipoo, who had been in an altercation with another dog and needed to be seen. However, when I arrived, the receptionist informed me that they don’t accept walk-ins, despite what their website clearly states. After pointing this out, she casually mentioned they were short-staffed and hadn’t updated the website. The experience felt rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. The advertised walk-in option and "free exam" appear misleading, and the staff’s attitude was disappointing.

Fantastic experience: This place deserves 10 stars not just 5. 1. The reception staff is incredible, they are knowledgeable, efficient, helpful and above all so very kind. 2. I had what I thought was an emergency and they worked their magic and made it so I could bring my dog within 30 minutes. 3. Dr. Z is amazing, my dog started barking at him the second he walked in, and withing 10 seconds he was lacking Dr. Z's hand and playing with him. Dr. Z is so kind and warm and welcoming, he made me and my dog feel so comfortable instantly. 4. I am an over-worrier and any other doctor would have taken advantage and charged me a bunch of money. Dr. Z went the opposite direction, he calmly and kindly explained to me what was happening and assured me my dog was ok and didn't need any medical intervention. 5. To top it all off, Dr. Z and his staff refused to charge me anything because they believe that every customer should have the right to choose which vet they trust their pets with and therefore since mine was an emergency and my first visit and I had to go to whichever vet was open at the time they flat out refused to charge me anything. I can't recommend them enough or say enough good things about Dr. Z and his staff.

Fantastic experience: Towne center animal hospital has taken the best care of my dog Rico since we got him 3 years ago. Dr. Z and his team provide excellent service and are compassionate and gentle with the animals they see. Unfortunately Rico has passed due to an un-preventable fluke cause so my fiancé and I decided to have his remains shipped back to Towne Center so we did not have to return to the emergency vet where we said our goodbyes. Even though Rico is no longer with us they went the extra mile to put a card in his package expressing their condolences that the team signed and even Dr.Z signed. When the time comes and we decide to get another animal we will be back to Towne Center Animal Hospital. Thank you guys for everything! (Below photo is Rico's first visit with Dr. Z)

Negative experience: I have been using Dr Z for 9.5 years took care of our 2 cats, and 3 dogs. He is a excellent vet.... But shortly after my recent visit with our sick dog, upon my arrival to the office I realized the estimate given to my wife on the telephone was grossly different, it was $100's different! Frustrated, I told the assistant how I felt ...The assistant asked me if she should go and speak with Dr Z, I replied sure, why not! Out she went, to the back and told Dr Z I was being unpleasant, grossly exaggerating my actions etc. Dr Z came out & told me to take my sick dog ,leave and not ever come back! He had zero interest in hearing my side of the story, even tho another customer heard exactly what the conversation was between us! I protested, explaining I had used his services for 9 yrs and was surprised I was being treated in this fashion!... he wasn't interested in listening to a word I said! I think what upset me more was his complete lack of concern for my dog, not bothered if I could find another vet at such short notice. Update: There is a response from Dr Z below, insinuating that I am lying...Maybe if Dr Z had taken a moment to ask me what was my concern ,the outcome of our brief visit would of been very different and so would my review! Also note, no mention about my dog to ask if she was OK! Btw, I told Dr Z I would report this on Google, he shrugged and said go ahead!

Fantastic experience: Couldn't rave about this veterinary practice more! They are top notch - with the wonderful Dr. Z at the helm. He is compassionate, respectful and extremely knowledgable. His heart extends through his staff as they are reliable, accomodating and organized. You can expect personalized, sincere service when bringing your furbabies to them.

Fantastic experience: This is gonna be a long one, so get ready. In summary, the best vet I have ever visited. I've been going to Dr.Z for a bit now, after a vet misdiagnosed my dog, saying bloodwork was normal. I went to Dr.Z for a second opinion and he spent time explaing everything, helping me with understanding the bloodwork, and finding out what was wrong. He was honest about what tests were the best course of action, and how we could eliminate possibilities. Now my cat, both my dogs, and my mom's dog all go to Dr.Z. When the whole group comes in everyone is so happy to see them and greets them. From the exam room we can hear the tech taking which ever pet they have around for everyone to say hi. They call my cat Sweet Bean, and always tell me she's an angel, even when she isn't. If one of the pets is not there, they always ask for an update. My dog TJ has been going for a back issue, and today got a laser therapy treatment. She had a very hard time walking today, and a tech (I'm so sorry I forgot your name) came out to help TJ out of the car, and had a room ready so she didn't have to sit in the waiting room, with what has become her favorite blanket. When it was time to go TJ was still having trouble, so the tech helped me carry her, she's almost 70lbs btw, in the blanket as a sling, to my car and get her in. They really truly love animals, every person I've met there has been the absolute sweetest, and they go above and beyond to help however they can. They have in house x-ray and are so supportive of a multi approach to medicine, that includes modern treatments along with a good approach in food and supportive/alternative care like swim therapy and acupuncture. I think the best review i can give is that TJ, who like NO ONE, gets excited to go in, and lets them pet her. That alone speaks to how much they earn the trust of their furry patients.

Fantastic experience: Today we had our dog’s annual appointment with Dr. Z. I never write reviews but I wanted to share how amazing Dr. Z and his staff are! My dog has been having seizures for three years now and his previous vet was not very helpful. Last year when we bought him to Dr. Z office he immediately had a seizure. The team was great at handling the situation and they recommended we give him medicine before to prevent the seizure at our next appointment so we did. What a game changer as we were able to get through today’s appointment with no seizure! Another successful visit, we love this place! Thank you to Dr. Z and his team for taking care of our fur baby!

Fantastic experience: It’s easy to see that Dr. Z really loves animals. He spends time talking to them to calm them before he begins the exam. He explains everything and takes time to answer questions, I never feel rushed to leave. The ladies who assist him are so sweet with our pets, they are very welcoming and my Lab, Bo is always greeted like he is a rock star and he clearly eats it up!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Z is terrific. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The clinic is clean and inviting We have been clients of his for years are so happy that he finally has his own clinic. Dr. Z has preformed operations on several of our animals over the years always with positive outcomes. Recently we lost a cat and Dr. Z and staff made this difficult event as painless as possible. You can tell that they really care. I strongly recommend Town Center. I couldn't ask for anyone better to look out for my furry friends.

At his former practice in Lake Mary, we had a negative experience with another doctor so we were thrilled to hear he had opened his own place!! We love you Dr. Z!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Z and staff at Towne Center AH are wonderful, I have been seeing Dr. Z since before he opened his own practice so it was only common sense to follow him. He has been a savior with all my pets from my dogs to cat. My Shepherd is in fact named after him, with out Dr. Z he would not be the big, beautiful, intelligent animal he is today. Not only do I take my personal dogs, I also am a Professional Dog Trainer and when I meet new pet owners I always recommend Towne Center AH. 5 stars indeed.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Z and his staff are amazing! He and the staff showed so much compassion and care for my dog who got extremely sick and needed surgery. His years of experience helped my dog get through a very rough precedure and the vet techs, Tish in particular, took their time in patiently sharing with me how to properly care for my dog when we got her home. Such a great team of people.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been taking our dog to see Dr. Z for many years. When he opened his own practice, we had to be sure we followed him wherever he went! Him and his staff are very friendly, honest, and caring when it comes to animals and their owners. We will always take our dog and any future pets to Dr. Z! We highly recommend him!!

Fantastic experience: We've have loved our experience with Dr Z and the staff at Towne Center Animal Hospital. They are always so friendly and accommodating, even when I ask them a million questions. They've seen my dog last minute several times when she needed stitches or had other emergencies, and I always feel like my dog is in good hands. They are also very honest and don't make me feel like a bad pet owner if I don't choose the most expensive treatment options for my dog. This is my favorite vet's office we've ever been to, and I'm glad a friend recommended them to me.

Fantastic experience: I love talking my animals to Dr. Z! Him and his staff are always professional and most importantly they are nice to my animals. Dr. Z has a world of knowledge and is always willing to go above and beyond to answer any concerns I have about my dogs. The hospital is beautiful and very well kept. They even have an online pharmacy, which makes it really easy to reorder my pet’s medications. Most of all I feel that Dr. Z and his staff truly cares about my animals well being.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area and found Dr. Z's office and am so happy I did. I have a lab and a husky and between the two of them I feel like I am in the vet office every other month! Regardless I think the entire staff is very accommodating and professional. I always feel like he takes the time to explain things in a manner I understand. He also doesn't rush right to running every battery of test or suggesting surgery, etc. which for me is important. My two pups and I feel like a patient rather than walking dollar signs! We will continue going here and recommending Dr Z to all our friends!

Fantastic experience: As a very broke person with a soft spot for cats in bad places, I’m very glad to know about Towne Center. Doctor Z is thorough, straightforward, and frank about what my cats need and why. I’ve brought a cat into surgery twice and both times the cat has recovered quickly from anesthesia and healed cleanly and in demonstrably better health. The vet techs have been able to handle even my most skittish cats with minimal stress, the desk staff have always been patient and happy to help me with scheduling and records, and the discounted vaccine packages are very nice. Overall I really appreciate a vet clinic that is comprehensive but never feels like it’s trying to squeeze money out of me. Love this place and my kitties… well they don’t love going to towne center but they’re very healthy and happy so

They care so much for animals, they do not push unnecessary tests or services, and they aways share the cost of procedures or tests prior to doing them. Fantastic experience: Towne Center Animal Hospital's Dr. Z is a wonderful vet who has treated my dogs with gentle and professional care. When I first visited Towne Center Animal H., I had two Yorkiepoos, Daisy Mae and Dolly Doe. Last year my Daisy became very ill and Dr. Z and his staff supported me while I helped her to live a little longer. The day I called to let them know it was time to let Daisy rest in peace, Dr. Z and the entire staff were wonderful. Daisy passed very peacefully. I miss her every day; however, Dolly and I are pleased to have Towne Center Animal Hospital as our vet. and know that Dr. Z and staff are there for us if we need them.

Fantastic experience: We came to Dr, Z and his caring and responsive staff from another multi-vet group in the Lake Mary/ Sanford area. While appearing to be caring, it became painfully apparent that this group were in fact more caring about how much money they could separate from our wallets to theirs. We had never been through something like that either in Atlanta or in Windermere before we moved to Lake Mary, so it took some time for us to figure this out. What a breath of fresh air the change to Towne Center Animal Hospital has been, both personally as well as for our dogs! Our two elderly dogs are in great hands and our younger adult dog is also. It was a groomer who recommended Dr Z, she also was a vet tech and said he was one of the most empathetic and trustworthy vets she knew. Thank you Dr Z and staff!

Negative experience: 64 dollars for a canceled apt. After the 24hr grace period. I know canceling late can hurt the business. But 25 dollars is industry norm. 64 is crazy high, would not recommend a company that's so petty. Nope you said there would be a fee, which like I stated in my review, 25 dollars would have been fine. Try again!

Fantastic experience: I take my "babies" here and I like Dr. Z because he personally takes the time to discuss what is going on with your pet and the treatment and options that are available. In addition, his staff are very courteous and friendly. I feel comfortable leaving my pet there if I have to drop them off for the day knowing that they will get excellent care.

Negative experience: Took my dog to the vet because she was acting abnormal and all they did was give her a shot and an x ray, the next day we brought her back and they had to run ANOTHER x-ray and soon to find out she has a bowel blockage. This vet just wants your money and doesn’t care about your animals. The time is very limited on my dog and a bowel blockage is a very serious matter. She could of died if we didn’t bring her back

Fantastic experience: My cats have been taken care of by Dr Z since before he started Towne Ctr Animal Hospital. The vet and staff are great, I never feel like I am being sold anything that isn't needed, the costs are reasonable and I totally trust them with the health of all my cats. I highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: This place and it's Doctors and nurses are amazing. We had to unfortunately put my dog down and the Doctor was super kind , caring and gentle and all the nurses there as well were very sweet and kind. I would highly recommend this place to any one.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Z and all of the staff treats all their patients as part of their own family. As a pet owner, this is a perfect environment to have confidence that my girl is taken care of. They communicate very effectively making sure someone with zero veterinary knowledge can feel confident about actions taken in the care of the pet and the pros and cons of often difficult and scary decisions we must make at times.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Z for so many years now. I can’t imagine taking my precious furry loved ones anywhere else. His and his staffs’ care and concern and sympathy is unmatched by any other veterinarian I have ever been to. I’ve been faced with tough decisions sometimes but again Dr Z and his staff are the most supportive people you will ever run across. Recently they have been instrumental in helping me relocate my crazy kitty to our new home. I just don’t know how I would have done this without his help. I have now moved 45 miles from Dr Z but he will remain my veterinarian forever. We sometimes get attached to our own Drs and we should have the same care and concern for our furry loved ones. You can tell his assistant Amanda H, is an animal lover, she was super sweet with my pups and took great care of them. Thanks to the team for all you do! Quick scheduling and great service. Negative experience: I just moved here 3 months ago ,my boxer has allergies since moving here ,I have been to to 2 vets and a emergency vet ,trying to find a vet to give me a professional care and knows there stuff,well still looking and calling ,I call dr.z office,and the girl says free office visit I think it is worth a try right,and the nightmare begins,the staff is rude and impatient, dr a comes in and my boxer wiggles his happy self,boxers right, he pushes my dog away and says why are u here,then I introduced myself and my dog ,again why are u here ,I said my dog has been giving a shot for allergies he does not have heartworm and hes been vaccinated for kennel cough but he coughs like he has something caught in his throat, what have you done ,I told him I gave him some of my herbal cough syrup and it helped.he dr.z says you dont need me,I said excuse me,what mother with a small child would not give her child cough syrup till can get in to see a doctor,dr.z says this relationship would never work,I said are you kidding me I am here for my dog not a relationship with you .what a quack,now wonder the office is free.DONT GOHERE,very bad care for animals hed be better working in a German bookshop.

Fantastic experience: I just left the office & never, ever in my life have I had a better experience with a veterinary office. The doctor & staff were all incredible & thorough & great with my dog. He is a bit on the crazy side with it comes to strangers & other dogs. They had a room set up for me to take him back immediately. The whole experience was wonderful. I couldn’t be more thankful to have found this office.

Fantastic experience: I wanted to say thank you so very very much to Dr. Z and to all of his staff from the bottom of my heart .l Best vet and staff I have ever been to in my life ! Everyone from the doctor and to his personal staff Ciara and Sarah. They are ALL kind hearted . You can tell everyone there loves animals. I would most surely recommend Dr. Z and staff to treat any of your pets. Such compassion. Dr. Z explains everything you need to know. He takes his time to listen and inform you what exactly is the best medical care your pet needs. You will not be disappointed in any way to take your pet to this clean facility and excellent Dr. and his staff. I am so happy I chose to go to this office!! :)
