Animal Clinic of Casselberry

Negative experience: My girl Rosie came here for an annual checkup. Will be taking her elsewhere once I have funds to do so. She seems in worse shape and I do not recognize some of the vaccines they gave her. Will be getting a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Emerson and Dr. Vega. They take the time to listen to any concerns I may have and thoroughly evaluate my Lab. She's a rescue and can be skittish around new people, especially men, but she's very relaxed with both vets. I appreciate the time Dr. Vega took to text me Lucy's test results, as well as following up with the details via email. The front office staff is helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: Very nice and friendly. Always tries to fit my cat in and work with my schedule for a quick paw trim. They even advised me how to do it at home safely. It's been an easy transition since Dr. Hill left. Miss Dr. HILL, but this team is doing great.

Fantastic experience: This vet has always been great to me with my troublesome kitty, now having seizures always get me in within 24hrs, vet is thorough everyone is kind a patient. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: The two tend to get into some shenanigans on occasion. Animal Clinic of Casselberry have helped them and me several times. They genuinely care about what they are doing and they also take care of me in the process. I highly recommend this clinic for your loved ones.

Fantastic experience: We had to lay our dog of 15yrs down, it was very sad but I must say this animal clinic did make us feel very comfortable and our dog Bogard. They even fed him pancakes and casserole from Cracker barrel! Thank you I know he is in a better place now! We will miss you Bogard❤️

I had a rather urgent situation with my dog and they got me in the very next day and provided very thorough, affordable care. They referred me to a wonderful specialist to resolve my dog's issue and the vet even called me the next day to check on him. The staff are incredibly friendly and the vet is very knowledgeable and kind. I will be making this my dog's primary office!

Fantastic experience: After 3 long years and having seen a new sign today I went back to animal clinic of Castleberry and what a surprise I got. First when I called I didn't have to sit on hold for an hour and a half it took 2 minutes for Eileen to pick up the phone and help me with making an appointment for all 3 of my stooges. Got an appointment for today and went in to find the place looks fantastic it's clean, It smells good it's everything the old place wasn't. I got to meet Eileen in person and then I met Rebecca, Who when I came in asking if anyone could please help me get the 3 dogs out of the car was fantastic and asked one of the techs to help me. No to sell no €66 woman who just had knee replacement surgery 5 weeks ago can handle 3 vicious attack chihuahuas. After about 20 minutes or so I was taken into a room and the Doctor and Rebecca came in shortly after that. The new Doctor is adorable she's so young and so smart and Rebecca was amazing at helping her corral My vicious pack. I mentioned to my neighbor that I was going back to animal clinic of Castleberry and she said that her daughter had just recently taken her cat there and how Wonderful they all were. I mentioned this to the actually remembered my neighbor's cat's name and asked me how the cat was doing. So I have to say the new and much improved animal clinic of Castleberry is a gift and the best part, And you'll understand this if you were a client of the old animal clinical Casselberry, They actually let you talk to the Doctor. The receptionist does not give you medical advice on your animals.

Fantastic experience: Very professional office great Doctors and techs

Negative experience: Expensive.Went in for my 2 dogs rabie shots... check up only and shots were $166.00!!!! Cant just go in for rabies shots.

Fantastic experience: Best experience ever for me and my pets. If you need a Vet who cares and takes the time to help and has a great staff, De Emerson is your Vet. Do your pets a favor sand give them the BEST CARE, De Emerson is your Vet.

Fantastic experience: Dr Alex Emerson is a very caring and compassionate Vet. He listens to your concerns or issues. Him and his team of vets/ staff take care of our dogs Butch and Cookie. They recently did a successful surgery on Cookie taking a cyst out of her hip. They are also reasonable on their prices and do not try to rip you off like other vets i have experienced. I would recommend them to family and friends. Thank you for taking good care of our pets!

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for over 20 years. Through my chihuahua and cat, whom have passed and currently my cat Pixie. I was nervous when Dr. Hill retired but the transition was amazing! The same genuine care, kindness and attentiveness is still there with Dr. Emerson and the staff. Glad I stayed and highly recommend them to anyone wanting a place to call their fur babies home.

Fantastic experience: I had some what of an emergency with my husky, and I was referred to them, and they took me and with open arms. The price was not what most places would have charged. They were great with Niko and the Doc, and the young ladies / gentlemen were awesome!! So, if any1 needs a vet, this is the place to go.

Fantastic experience: Loved the detailed explanation and support the vet provided when my fur baby needed surgery. He took his time with me and explained the options and the procedure thoroughly. The staff were patient and caring and were very gentle with my doggie Archie. I trust Archie with this veterinarian and have the greatest confidence he will always be in good hands with Dr Alex! Love this doc and this practice.

Now he needs an operation that cost 5000.00 dollars .now I have to put him to sleep .ill miss my kitty is love him alot but can't afford to keep doing this I'm on s.s. just can't afford no more . He's only 8 years old .

Fantastic experience: The staff here is so good to your dog. My Booger had a surgery with Dr. Nick and they called me the next day to see if he was doing okay and taking his medicine. What a nice thing. Love them all. Highly recommend them for all of your pet's needs.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing since the new doctors took over. i love that you can actually go back there with your pet. Dr. Alex saw our new cat and diagnosed her with asthma. He knew exactly what to do and was very knowledgeable and was very gentle with our girl. Staff is very friendly and they even called to see how our girl was doing on her new inhaler. Can’t recommend enough. Prices are great too.

Fantastic experience: They truly care. Update 11/4/22: they changed vets, our old vet retired and transferred the business to a new vet. And I still love this place. Still my favorite veterinary office. Every member of the staff and every vet I've met has been so caring and so good with my pets.

Negative experience: I have been going here for years and now that Dr. Hill has retired I am not impressed with Dr. Emerson. My dog woke up and she was unstable and her head was tilted. She wasn't crying or whimpering - I had no idea what was wrong. So I rushed her to Casselberry Animal Clinic and they asked my a bunch of questions and they looked her over and the Doctor came out and said I don't know what is wrong. You need to take her to Blue Pearl and see a Neurologist. I take her to Blue Pearl which is a specialty vet and is expensive!!! But fine this is my baby. They looked her over and discovered she had an ear infection. A veterinarian that couldn't diagnose an ear infection in a dog! I ended up taking her to Winter Park Animal Hospital. Not only did they diagnose and treat her, they felt bad that I had spent so much time and money. I wasn't charge the emergency fee and they called me the next day to check on her. I did not hear one word from the Casselberry Animal Hospital where I had been going for almost 10 years. I miss Dr. Hill.

Negative experience: Just got off the phone with one of the most inconsiderate people. Assuming it’s a tech or someone on their staff but I called to get some more information about mange treatment for a new stray, not feral, cat and was met with hostility and a 12 minute hold broken up across the duration of the call. I was addressed as “hun” repeatedly and spoken over with passive aggression. It was clear to me then that there must be some bad eggs in this establishment especially after reading lovely reviews. I got the idea this woman had no interest in helping me or the cat in question and would’ve said anything to get me off the phone. At 10am on a Thursday we are throwing attitude all around and I was unpleasantly surprised with the lack of professionalism I experienced. Definitely will not be bringing the cat, I received absolutely no reassurance & even if a mangey stray isn’t the standard patient in their hospital, I would’ve expected more compassion and patience over the phone. The complete opposite.

Negative experience: One of the worst experiences for myself and pet. The female vet tech (unfortunately did not receive her name) was extremely unprofessional, stabbed my dog’s leg with a needle repeatedly because they were incapable of finding the vein, and made my already anxious dog sit in the exam room for 20+ minutes just to be checked out since the tech gave up on my pet to do their exam, which never ended up happening as we decided to walk out of the exam. Extremely disappointed in this vet, as our pet now has yet another negative memory with the vet office even though I was ensured by the front desk that the visit would have been handled accordingly after fully documenting my pet’s special needs. Unfortunate that we never had the opportunity to actually speak with the actual doctor due to the lack of professionalism from one single vet tech staff.

Fantastic experience: This vet clinic is the ABSOLUTE best vet I’ve been to in my life. They save my cat who had mastitis. I went to a different vet who screwed me royally and left my cats stomach ripped wide open with no bandage, stitches, glue nothing. I immediately searched for a low cost vet found casselberry vet clinic and they handle my situation with such care and understanding. I was seen by dr McLaughlin and he took excellent care of my baby and was very thorough and caring of her health. I walked in having no clue what to expect and they worked with me and even gave an exam fee for free. They are amazing. I was told by multiple vets that I would pay over 1k for the surgery and I paid a little over 300 with them. If you are looking for a trustworthy vet I ABSOLUTELY recommend this vet.

Fantastic experience: I believe that they were very kind people in the whole office. They help me carry my cat in and out of office. The doctor was very honest about treating my cat.

Negative experience: Many of our pets have graced these doors. Loved them, untill management changed. Now, new short tempered lady is rude to ME because she had me on hold for 10 minutes, waiting for meds for my dieing dog?! How traumatic! Then she has the nerve to accuse me of not really being a client?! The 4 dogs and 1 cat that I've brought there in 18 years say otherwise. Never again!

Fantastic experience: My dog started getting seizures this past year and unfortunately one of her triggers was going to the vet. The staff at the office were always on top of it when my dog had seizures at the office and were very accommodating at trying to find ways to get her visit done seizure free. Today was our first visit without a seizure thanks to Dr Alex and his amazing staff.

Fantastic experience: I had to find a new vet when mine closed unexpectedly - definitely a happy outcome. Every person I interacted with was so welcoming & made us feel right at home. So glad to start this new relationship.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Alex, and his team is one of the best veterinarian practices our family encountered. They are welcoming starting from the front all the way to the back. Alex made time to do an emergency surgery for our Daisy poo who had a blockage of swallowing something whole. Alex is an honest doctor from the start to finish and will answer all questions and concerns with compassion of his love of the animals and his career. Thank you Alex and team for caring for our girl.

Fantastic experience: Lucky and I were pretty new to Casselberry Vet Clinic. When Lucky started to have problems, I was ever so glad that we had found Casselberry Vet Clinic. It was s rough 2 weeks, but I could call them or just show up on a wim and they were there for us. Wh en it came to having to put Lucky down they were awesome. The Dr came in early that morning just to help us. I can not say enough on how awesome there are at Casselberry Vet Clinic. Thank you for being there for Lucky and myself.

Fantastic experience: Female cat had some blood in her urine, called all around until (as a new client) this amazing place was able to allow me to drop my kitty Pandora off during my lunch break at work. That was a blessing, then the girls at the front were phenomenal, so friendly and welcoming to me and my sick kitty. It was a quick drop off process and I was on my way, they stayed back 30 extra minutes for the wonderful vet to tell me what was going on. Extremely great first experience and I’ll be going here from now on!

Fantastic experience: This place was great. Unfortunately my cat passed but they were so amazing. They were so honest & were really looking out for me. It wasn't as expensive as I thought it was gonna be either! It was a terrible thing that happened and they honestly wanted the best for me! I will definitely be coming here from now on for my other two pets!

Fantastic experience: Dr Emerson and staff were great! Squeezed me in on short notice with a sick kitty. The staff handled some pretty trying situations with other clients very well while I was waiting. Everyone there was calm and friendly, even while they were very busy. Dr Emerson showed me X-rays and explained thoroughly, addressing my concerns. I never felt pressured as the course of treatment was suggested and additional services weren't pushed. I won't hesitate to return.

With the new ownership and new employees I no longer feel like I am just a number. Dr. Emerson, and Rebecca my tech were amazing, compassionate, friendly, empathetic, and kind. If anyone has left due to previous owner/management I urge you to come back and give the team a chance. They are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: We brought of dog in as an emergency appointment because our regular vet was closed. Dr. Emerson and his staff are so kind a courteous and fit us in. They gave us exceptional care even though we weren't regular customers! Animal Clinic of Cassleberry is under new ownership and management and we absolutely loved our experience!! So much so that we are now making them our new primary veterinarian!! Wonderful Staff! Very respectful of our pets issue and our time!! This place is amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: My cat broke his leg last Saturday got him to emergency vet on Sunday who xrayed him, splinted the leg, gave him sedative and pain meds , advised me to see Orthopedic surgeon for possible surgery and charged me 780.00, fine no problem, spent all day Monday and Tuesday calling vet after vet after vet trying to get an appointment for Orthopedic surgeon, planning on a 4 or 5 thousand dollar surgery,, spent hours on the phone nothing available, every vet I called referred me to Blue Pearl who had no openings till March or referred me to University of Florida in Gainesville which is pretty freaking far from Casselberry 2 and a half hour drive , if you can even get an appointment Sara Moore was able to get me squeezed in to see her Vet where she works, Dr. Emerson looked at the emergency room x rays, examined my cat told me remove the splint and bandage, the location of break between knee and foot will actually heal better un splinted with no bandage and cat should be caged or given limited movement for 30 days and will be just find without a surgery and come back in a few weeks for another xray incredible amount of relief, avoided .ore vet fees with a specialist and the cost of an unnecessary surgery, so I'm unbelievably happy with Sara Moore, Dr. EMERSON and the entire staff of Animal Clinic of Casselberry- Gregory Rice and my rescue cat Scooby

Fantastic experience: We just moved to Florida and one of our friends recommended visiting this clinic because they have gone here for years and said that they were very impressed by the new vet so we took their advice and although they are busy (which in my opinion is a good sign) we are glad we made that decision because he took great care of us and Bentley.

Negative experience: This vet is not reliable to follow up. They have not made any effort to follow-up with me in regards to my pet Chloe. I have been waiting for FIVE days for someone to call to follow up on her bloodwork that was to be received the next day. I have placed several calls to their office and always greeted by “Animal clinic of Casselberry, HOLD please”. My last call was placed on hold over 5mins. If you are having any bloodwork done on your pet they will not follow up with results. Also, I was told on Monday by the vet on 11/29th to leave Chloe for her X-rays and bloodwork and that they would call me when she is ready. No one ever called.
