Fantastic experience: Frantic to say the least when my dog was not acting like himself after already being on an antibiotic for kennel cough. However I found this office and Dr. Dempsey was empathetic and compassionate. She educated me on his behavior and what next steps we need to take for him. Im happy to say my max in less than 24 hours is up and running around and eating even with his cough as that does take time to heal. Naomi the tech was so sweet, she didn’t miss a beat of my dramatic monologue since rescuing max in the last 3 weeks as I didn’t want to leave anything out just in case it was his cause for illness. Anyhow I’m glad we brought Max here, thank you for helping our boy!

Fantastic experience: I have four cats and two dogs, and Dr. Aplin is the best, most caring, and most thorough veterinarian I’ve ever met. She’s conservative in her approach and never pushes unnecessary vaccinations or tests. She takes the time to discuss every question in detail, and you never feel rushed during appointments. Dr. Aplin has cared for both one of our past pets and now all of our current animals. Her compassion, knowledge, and dedication set her apart from any other veterinarian I’ve worked with. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. I’m so grateful to have had her caring for our pets for the past few years.

Fantastic experience: I'm so grateful to have found Oviedo Animal Hospital, and specifically Dr Aplin. We have floundered since our Vet retired. I feel like we have finally found our furever Vet office. Our puppy was born with a cleft palate, so we had extra concerns. Dr Aplin has been so kind, and very generous with her time, making sure we are comfortable with his treatment. The office is very clean and welcoming. I'm so impressed with the entire staff. The receptionists are very informative and kind. The techs are very knowledgeable and sweet. Their fees are very reasonable. Honestly, I can't say enough about them. They truly earned and deserve my 5 stars! I know my fur babies are in great hands. Thank you very much, I'm so grateful for your kindness!!

I absolutely loved everything about my visit. The staff was so helpful as soon as I walked in the door! And they let me be with my Sophie throughout the entire visit. Fantastic experience: I've been taking my kitties to Oviedo Animal Hospital for about a year and a half, since I moved to the area. The cost is fair, and everyone here is amazing. They treat my kitties with gentle kindness, and you can tell they truly care about the well-being and happiness of the animals they work with. (I've experienced less at a previous vet) If I reach out to them with any questions, they are quick at getting back to me, be it phone or email. They've never made me feel judged for asking questions, as again, they're in it for the well-being of the animals.

Fantastic experience: I was in desperate need of help for my 4 yr old Labrador Nugget. He had eaten chocolate trail mix w/raisins which are lethal to dogs. I spent 36 hrs at my home with him suffering seizures. I called the closest vet to my house and they couldn’t see me. They recommended Oviedo Animal Hospital who made immediate arrangements to see me asap. I couldn’t come at their first time bc of my son’s appointment with an orthopedic surgeon that same day and they again went above and beyond to help me make an earlier appointment! They were extremely nice and caring towards Nugget! They offered me several recommendations to help with his seizures and we did a full panel of blood work & they were so gentle with him. We came up with a very good plan and Solution to help him minimize future seizures! They gave me emergency meds in case it happens again and helped me with heartworm meds & were understanding that I wanted to wait on daily seizure meds as the incidents were all food related. It’s so refreshing to have such skilled doctors who listen and don’t push for extreme medication that he would end up being on for life. They are truly a blessing

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have had wonderful experiences at this hospital. Our dog of 13 years passed away last month and it was the most kindest, gentle moment provided by Dr. Aplin and Hannah. Jenny, the practice manager and Nancy were so kind and compassionate as well. We could not have asked for such a sad appointment to go so smoothly and calmly. Just today I also brought in a beagle I’m fostering. Dr. Aplin was kind, caring, and showed so much love to him. We are truly blessed to have found such a compassionate, and caring clinic.

Fantastic experience: I had never been there but was working in the area when my dog seemed to lose control of his legs. I googled Oviedo vet hospital and drove straight to this location. They didn't hesitate to see my baby immediately and followed up the next day. They were all amazing and I am beyond blessed that this is what showed up on a Google search.

Negative experience: I do NOT recommend this veterinary office. I’ve been attending this place for YEARS! And never had any problems or issues until these past recent couple of months. They handle things very UNPROFESSIONALLY. Making up their own rules and policies on the fly without even a notice and also communicating things properly. The communication is so bad you call to make an appointment and then when you show up your appointment somehow it’s a different time then what was communicated and you were never even aware. Then once you try to figure out what’s going on over the phone they come at you sideways with a bad attitude and try to argue with you over the phone and play mind games with you. Been going here for all of my dogs for YEARS. It’s clear the business I’ve given them and the loyalty has meant absolutely NOTHING! It’s all about money to them. They don’t care about your dog or your life. As long as they get your money they could really care less. Please save yourself the hassle and find somewhere.

Fantastic experience: My pup has been a patient of Oviedo Animal Hospital for many years and is a very anxious one. We recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Aplin for our annual check up and subsequent nail injury (squeezing me in at the end of the day). She is so calm and patient when approaching my pup and took the time to answer all of my questions regarding her advanced age and doing everything we can to preserve her mobility and quality of life. She provided great feedback on supplements and food recommendations. I have always been impressed by all the technicians and assistants but am so happy to have Dr. Aplin at this practice. Fantastic experience: Dr. Aplin is the best vet I’ve been to and I’ve seen quite a few around the Orlando/Oviedo area. From the very first visit she has been so helpful and kind and you can tell she truly wants to help you do what’s best for your pet. I cannot say enough good things about this place and Dr. Aplin. If you can, make Oviedo Animal Hospital your primary vet and give your fur babies the care they deserve!

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about how great the entire staff is at Oviedo Animal Hospital. We've been to several vets in Oviedo and none of them come close to the quality of care received here. We've had other vets try to prescribe meds without even knowing what is actually wrong. You can tell that the entire team here actually cares about each and every animal that comes through their doors. They are able to do lab work on site for a number of things, which also helps to quickly understand what's going on so a proper treatment can be used. I've recommended friends and they've thanked me over and over for recommending them to this vet because they also noticed a significant difference in the quality of care provided here. On top of that, their prices are very fair. They take the time to answer questions and also do follow up calls to ensure that our critters are doing better. I highly recommend this vet!!

Fantastic experience: We have taken 7 or 8 cats and dogs to the Oviedo Hospital over the passed 18 years and have always had a great experience with them. Dr. Wisemen is an excellent vet and his vet techs and receptionists are very helpful and knowledgable. Our puppy had an allergic reaction this morning, so we called them up and we were able to bring her in for immediate treatment. They even called later to check up on her. Love them!

Fantastic experience: I had my dog spayed out of town, and we returned to Orlando before she had her stitches removed. Most veterinary clinics in town were wanting to charge me upwards of $60, and most acted like my request was a hassle. OAH brought her in with no hassle. We were in and out in 10 minutes, OAH gave a much better price, and treated me like a long time valued customer. Their staff was friendly, welcoming, and sweet to my dog. It was my first visit, but I will continue to come to OAH for any veterinary needs I have in the future.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wiseman and his staff are excellent. Attentive with their weekly phone calls to check on my cat with a chronic disease, always willing to answer questions, considers all treatment options, etc. He will do anything within reason, listens to the pet parent, just a wonderful vet. Always willing to fit you into their schedule at the last minute -- I will continue to use Oviedo Animal Hospital with all my pets.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr. Wiseman! He always show such care when dealing with us and our pets. Recently we had to put our beloved dog of 15 years down. Probably the worst thing we've ever had to do. The whole staff was kind, considerate, and compassionate. His years of experience are so much appreciated!

When we go away for cruises we will board our old black lab dog and I swear they are doing something right because he is always so excited and becomes a puppy when we take him there. He runs into the place as if he is a celebrity and everyone knows and greets him by name. It probably helps that he knows exactly where they keep the treats! Whenever he has health issues they always treat him and make sure we r well educated and prepared before we leave. And they always call and check in on him after too. They have a great practice and I recommend all to him!

Fantastic experience: Excellent staff and Doctors! I lived in Oviedo for over 10 years, I took my husky Mya for the first time and visit earlier this morning. I called asking if they take walk-ins, they scheduled me right away. Very friendly staff, they care for your pet and want to do the best they can. This will be my primary animal hospital for my dogs. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with this animal hospital. After our oldest cat got out and came home with a limp, we scheduled the soonest appointment they had, after reading so many positive reviews. When my schedule for that day got messed up, they accommodated us coming in a little early and were really great about getting us back and our cat assessed quickly. Neither the staff or doctor were judgemental about her injury and were very gentle and sweet with her. I was actually surprised at how fair the prices were for everything she needed too. They didn't try to sell me anything random or suggest things that didn't seem necessary. I think I've been jaded by some less than stellar veterinary offices in the past, but Oviedo Animal Hospital lived up to all of their great reviews. Thank you for taking such good care of our Jessie. The doctors obviously care for your pets, but also do so well at walking the line of being non alarmists. They don’t want to see you spend useless money which is hard to find in a vet! Fantastic experience: A few months back I had to fly to Florida to help my dad with his ailing health and move him from his home. We found that his beloved dog was in very poor health but he did not have the financial or mental capacity to handle this. I called Oviedo Animal Hospital and explained the situation and was given an appointment the next day. Mind you, there was a hurricane watch going on too. Suffice it to say, everyone at this animal hospital was so compassionate and kind, which made everything a bit easier as we had to put my dad's dog to sleep. I can't say enough about the professional and caring doctor and staff. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: We have had this facility as our primary care facility for our pets. Under Dr. Wiseman we received good care. However he retired, sold his practice and frankly service is not the same. Recently took our cat for a visit due to anorexia, initial visit provided reasonably good care although instruction NY staff could have been more detailed such as syringe feeding, had to look that up online. Anyway went for follow up. Doctor must have had too much to do b/c she could not remember what she told us...not an ideal and we were not impressed. Most importantly we took an already stressed out sick cat with few options. Very unfortunate.

Fantastic experience: Well this is the 1st time I've been able to talk about loosing my fur baby 1 year ago! This is the most compassionate and loving place to your animals This place is very special to me and will be for the rest of my life. When I had to put one of my senior dogs down They all pulled together and made my experience filled with love and compassion. They also did something beyond just that for my dogs ashes. Absolutely NO attempt to follow up by the doctor, in 48 hours, even after requesting for immediate call back! Selective caring, as well!. And yes, reading other negative reviews, conveniently you guys can't find the negative reviewers, the account is under my wife's name and my pet's name is Snickers. If management cares to contact, then please find my contact info from Nancy who took my contact info from my hand! Thank you for your fabricated lies. What better can I expect from a dicrimanatory owner! I still have in my possession a receipt from your business that clearly shows that I paid $224.00 on previous visit and the FOLLOW UP is for $0.00 which I also confirmed with your countrerclerk before making the appointment. I requested repeatedly to speak to you and waited almost and hour but you didn't even had the decency to come out but send a message that I had two options, either I pay for the visit and get my medicine for Snickers or if I don't pay for the visit then I can't get the medicine. I chose the 2nd option and now you NOT ONLY didn't have the decency to talk to me face to face but also lieing same as your front end clerk. SHAME ON YOU! ON top of it your clerk didn't have any problem taking $20 off coupon from the lady that came after me but didn't even entertain coupon topic when I brought it up. I am sorry for spending $1000+ at your facility over the course of a year! Next time know the facts before lieing!!!

Positive experience: We have been using their service for the past 4 years .. they do a good job taking care of our dogs, staff very knowledgeable, and quick and convenience service I didn't have the pleasure to meet the new doctor last visit, I really wished to had the chance to establish a good patient-doctor relationship but was not able to do so..

Negative experience: Worst experience of my life. Their neglectful practices left my perfectly healthy cat nearly brain dead after a simple procedure of being spayed. After depriving her of oxygen too long while anesthetized, the damage was irreversible. The response I received upon receiving this horrendous news was being told to “put her down”.

Fantastic experience: I took my 11 weeks old puppy in for her 2nd vaccination today, I was very pleased with their service. The employees there were friendly and pleasant. The doctor was very patient and informative, No pushy service selling at all. Total cost was a lot lower than I expected, comparing to the last vet clinic I went to at Mitchell Hammock hospital with just puppy exam and vaccination, i was charged for 170usd, they even charged me 20usd for new clients file fee. Would definitely recommend them for your fur babies!

Negative experience: I came in looking to help my kitten but she came out worse than ever. I had to visit a vet almost immediately after this visit!! The medicine this hospital gave my cat made the cats hair fall out in clumps.

Fantastic experience: I adore this vet clinic. I have been coming here for about a year now after relocating to UCF area and they are so friendly, thorough and (perhaps one of the most important aspects if you're a broke college kid like I am) affordable. All the staff is really friendly and patient, especially Rebecca! Thank you guys for taking good care of our fur babies. Something I forgot to mention initially is that they send handwritten letters, welcoming you and your pet to the OAH family. This tells you all you need to know about the way they value their clientele.

Positive experience: I called in an attempt to learn about some of the services offered at this hospital. Unfortunately, I was met with a receptionist that seemed annoyed by each of my questions. I felt rushed although I had a some more information to add. I did not feel comfortable continuing making my appointment - as the care of my pet is extremely important to me. I hope one day in the future I could try here again as the other reviews seemed very positive.

Positive experience: The Vet, the staff, they're all SO nice. A little higher priced than others, but worth it. They do curbside drop-off and pickup too during this pandemic. They really listen too and offer suggestions. If you want a place where people care about your animal, not just in it for the money, these people are it!

Thank you - (Added to the post from 3 years ago) Had to take one of our two dachshunds to Oviedo Animal Hospital on a rainy Friday afternoon for an infection in the eye. Yes, transparently, we've been taking our dogs here for 20 years. On this visit D'Artagnan saw Dr. Kimberly Hobbs, who has joined Dr. Wiseman in the past two years. Dr. Hobbs is excellent with our dogs. . .in fact we feel that D'Artagnan has a crush on her. It is such a blessing and a relief to get wonderful, consistent, supersonic care for our pets. We highly recommend this Vet.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I leave a review, but I couldn't let pass this opportunity to share our experience. We had another veterinarian. and we had an appointment for a regular check up on Friday at 3:00 pm. Our dog was too skinny, but she is a very picky eater so we just assume she just needed some high calorie nutritional addition to her diet. So, our appointment with our vet was not rush or emergency at all. On Tuesday, she was vomiting and with diarrhea but it was kind of usual on her when she ate kitchen scraps, which she did. Long story short on Wednesday she wake up very very weak, to the pont she was falling. We took her to the closest vet we had, and they were not even open yet. It was 7:40 am and they open at 8:00 am. and due to Covid, an appointment was needed plus calling first from the parking. We got there before opening and knock on their doors, the staff open for us and the Doctor came running to assist on our dog. They took her inside for testings while we waited on the car. Unfortunately it was bad news, she had cancer or some liver issues, but she referred us to a specialist to do some additional testing to make sure her diagnosis was accurate. Yes it was stomach cancer, and she passed that day. She was only 6 years old and gave us her best years. Oviedo Animal Hospital was caring, honest, and attentive to our emergency. It didn't stayed there, the discover probably by following up on there referral that our dog passed away and within the same week we got a card from them. Just Amazing! we will not going to have more dogs, we suffered to much. But I want to recommend this veterinarian to anyone who loves their pets like a family member. they are awesome! this is what I call going above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: This place makes DIFFERENCE! Although the reason to our visit was not very happy, our beloved cat was sick and needed to be put to sleep in order to save her from more hard times, you can not notice the difference between the other places we've been before and this one - the care, the compassion of the employees and the doctor, were REAL! Prices are normal, place is busy, popular and very well organized for this restricted time! Greatly will recommend it to all my friends and people I know! We thank you!
