Negative experience: All of the good reviews are from four, five, six, seven years ago. This past year Dr. Ehlers‘s sold his practice and the place went downhill immediately, immediately. Recently they sent me a PDF file of my pets entire history saying they no longer had a doctor at the practice. Since that time they don’t even answer the phone The new owners were apparently more interested in money than in the care of your pets. For your sake and most importantly for the sake of your pets PLEASE find another Dr. Now I’ll wait for the canned reply to my review.

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this vet office. The female vet we dealt with is a disgrace to the profession, showing absolutely no professionalism or compassion. As paying customers, we have every right to ask questions about the treatments we are being charged for, yet she felt it was appropriate to insult and degrade my family simply for seeking clarification. Her behavior was not only unprofessional but downright disrespectful. Do not be fooled by the high reviews—this office was once a wonderful place, but it has gone downhill fast. The way we were treated is absolutely unacceptable, and I urge others to think twice before bringing their beloved pets here. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a vet who genuinely cares.

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this vet clinic. The doctor was a new doctor I have never seen before. She was rude and dismissive, showing little care or patience with my pet. She acted unprofessionally, rushing through the appointment and barely addressing my concerns. Instead of making us feel welcome and comfortable, the doctor seemed annoyed by simple questions. It’s clear she lacks the kindness and compassion you’d expect in a veterinary professional. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who wants their pet treated with respect and genuine care. The kindness and empathy of the techs and office staff should be noted, they are wonderful.

Fantastic experience: For starters i wanted to say this was our first time coming to this practice with our cat dumpie/Dumpling. He was having very bad urinary issues, we previously had taken him to another vet that just wanted to do things their way, after declining surgery with the other practice they were very mean and didnt hesitate to tell us the visit was over, their doctor did not even wish to speak to us after. We then by chance discovered this practice which had an absolutely clean environment, their staff was so sweet kind and helpful with all of our needs, and when it came to the doctor i must say he was absolutely the best. He took his time to explain what our cat was dealing with,Did a full exam, he went above and beyond in giving us take home material,Gave us many options and they were very understanding, their prices are very good and i have never been to a practice so thorough, the doctor took the time to answer all of our concerns and questions and called us after to update us on our kitty. Thanks to dr. our kitty no longer has any urinary issues and he was completely right on the diagnosis and what to expect along with giving the approprate treatment.I will be referring this practice to all my family members and friends, if u are uncertain dont be this practice is absolutely the Best Thankyou so much Doctor and staff keep up the excellent work. v.niranjan & jacob ramer

Negative experience: So sad! We took our dog to this clinic paid around $795 dollars , blood test, X-rays, urine test and no prescription or option to relieve our dog symptoms! They just said he needs more tests that would be $800 more! The receptionist and assistances was very kind! Unfortunately i feel that clinic only want money, not a real interest to heal your lovely pet!

Negative experience: I thought I found a good place to take my pets, we where there for 2 hours I'm a disabled senior with chronic kidney pains I have to pay my spouse stay with our pets I sat in the car they never call to tell me about the resolve didn't give me the med for one of my pet ear wish I had to go there 3 days to pick up because of my pain CeCe the young lady the was kind at the first she was rude the paper of the shots my older is going to be 9 year old in Dec, in the paper they put 7 year old Luna is going to be 3 in August in they paper they put 8 years old didn't excuse herself. Just saying they are on lunch at 11 am when the day I was still 12 in lots of pain. She change one of the paper I say what about the other is like she was there her mind who knows is sad the I have to look another place how I will trust Luna to ge fix

Fantastic experience: Ive been a loyal customer since 2004 when i brought my dog licorice there and now my dog tux refuses to go anywhere else.

Positive experience: The lady techs at 434 Animal Hospital were very polite and attentive. Their handling of my pet was a positive experience my pet and I...keep up the good ladies working and see you soon.

Negative experience: Since Dr Ehlers sold this office it's been nothing but hell. I know three people that have stopping going already. When I took my dog the new vet could be bothered to even introduce himself. Looked over my dog for 3 minutes. The had a quote of $700 before my 2 year old do was even seen for his yearly checkup. WHAT!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET. EVEN Better...........They inactive you for posting a negative review. Poor Dr. Ehlers had such a wonderful business until the new people took over and now the receptionist and office manager are idiots.

Fantastic experience: My Pit Mix Harley has been a patient of 434 Animal hospital for over 10 years. The staff is friendly and courteous and always has your animals well being in mind. As my dog has aged she has seen all three of the on staff vets at one time or other, but is primarily a patient of Dr. Ehlers. Dr. Ehlers has an impeccable table side manner and is genuinely vested in your pet's health. I would highly recommend 434 Animal Hospital.

Fantastic experience: The people at 434 Animal Hospital are some of the nicest and most compassionate people I have ever met in any health care facility. My dogs loved going there to be boarded, which is really saying something. Before we started going there, they were miserable being boarded. When we would take them to 434, their tails were wagging and they would walk right into the room to go to the kennels. We have moved out of state, but I recommend 434 Animal Hospital. It is heads and shoulders above the rest!

Fantastic experience: I have been taking my dog to 434 animal hospital for 10 years now and can say that both Dr. Ehlers and Dr. Fonseca. Both are very friendly and extremely caring. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Cost of checks and medicine is very reasonable. I live in Lake Mary and there are plenty of animal hospitals here. But I prefer to go to 434 Animal hospital for a reason. I would highly recommend the hospital.

Fantastic experience: The staff at 434 Animal Hospital are all wonderful. Our two dogs are treated very well everytime they are in the office wether for yearly check-ups or an emergency visit. Fantastic experience: My dogs and I have been with Dr. Ehlers for many, many years and there is no one I would trust more with the health of my beloved dogs than Bill Ehlers and his staff. He's seen us through the routine medical issues, and he's seen us through cancer. His compassion and care is unwavering, and his staff is as wonderful as he is. We drive by at least three other vet offices to get there! Love you guys!!!!!

Fantastic experience: They really care about your furry loves! Used them for 10 years with our sweet furry first born. Had to put him down in 2019 and they were so kind, patient, understanding, empathetic and gave us the best advice without taking advantage of our pain. Just beautiful souls! We still use them with our rescue pup (who was a chicken in a dog suit). They are so patient with him and do a great job making him feel as calm as possible. Just a great veterinarian office from start to finish!

Negative experience: Worse experience ever, no compassion at all. My dog couldn’t even walk the right way. I told them that was an emergency. The only replay was that I need an appointment. That isn’t a hospital for animals. The heartless place I have been in.

Fantastic experience: I almost NEVER leave comments, but this place and one person in particular were so PHENOMENAL!! I wish I remembered her name, but I remember one of her cats names, Cleopatra! She was so helpful with me and my cat Mr. Beans. He had an accident in his crate from being so nervous and she provided me everything I needed to get him cleaned up, including a crate to borrow, and she did it all with such a nice and caring attitude that I don’t see too many people having these days. All of the other staff were awesome too!! Everybody was so informative, pleasant to talk to, and genuinely nice people. I would rate 6 stars if I could!!! I will definitely not go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new client here and I took my cat that was really sick as a walk in and they are the absolute best. The Service was excellent. The staff was attentive and kind to my animal. It was awesome and they made me feel so much better cause I though my cat was literally going to die. I recommend this facility to everyone that has a pet they love. It's clean and comfortable as well. If you want your pet better, safe, and cared for this is the place.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to this vet ever since I was a little kid. I’d tag along with my mom when we had to take our cats for checkups or for more serious reasons. Now I’m in my mid 20’s and I have my own cat. I can happily say I am still going to this vet for all my animal needs. Dr. Ehlers is the best and has been taking care of my family’s animals practically my whole life. I’m really glad he and the rest of the staff are the ones looking after my loved ones. They all take their jobs very seriously and do everything they can to help. Whenever one of our animals became sick they let us know all of our options and made recommendations with only the animal’s welfare in mind. They will never push you to spend extra on treatment if it’s not going to improve the quality of life for the animal. They always put the animals first no matter what. And they give the owners’ welfare just as much consideration. They help me just as much as they help my animals. Whenever I bring them in I feel comforted knowing they’re safe in the hands of people who will go above and beyond to make sure they receive the best possible care. This place is a real gem. I want to always be able to take my animals here.

The vet techs are very gentle and make me feel comfortable handing my fur babies off to them. I truly can't imagine anyone else ever taking care of my babies. Fantastic experience: This was a great experience for my pet and me. I was assured that the ear infection that my dog has had for several months was not what I thought it was after tests were run. The technician and vet answered what I thought were silly questions. I was able to return back to the office the very next day with my 4 legged grandson who has been treated for an ongoing issue by the same vet. They act ad if your extended family is their's also. Didn't mind going in again for a second day but different family member. They should get 5 stars a day.

Fantastic experience: We first went to 434 almost 3 years ago when our dog Logan had a seizure. They were so wonderful, letting us spend all day there, making sure that he was ok, and figuring out a plan of action to diagnose. Unfortunately the diagnoses was not good and he passed away 2 weeks later. Soon after that, our other dog, Bailey, started to get sick. The prognosis was a bit better for him, but it was degenerative, and we knew our time with him was limited. But with our determination to keep him alive and thriving, and the incredible, above-and-beyond help of Dr. Ehlers and the ENTIRE staff at 434 - we were able to keep him going for 2.5 years. There were late night phone calls and even days off where Dr. Ehlers called US…and constant follow ups from the staff to ask how he was doing. We have been to other vets in the past and they treated our pups like they were just dogs. 434 treated them like they were cherished members of our family. Because they were. Still are. I truly think that we got to have our Bailey Boy for as long as we did, because of their care. I HIGHLY recommend 434 if you want a Dr. and staff who will treat your pet with love. <3

Fantastic experience: They are the best! My furbabies, Ringo and Chewie have been their patients for the last 2 years. They always took real good care of them. Two weeks ago, Ringo crossed the rainbow bridge and Dr. Elders and his empathetic team helped my hubby and l through the whole process. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Fantastic experience: 434 Animal Hospital has been caring for our family members for over 10 years. It was not until about 2 years ago did I really fall in love with the staff. I have two pups, a 5 year old Golden Retriever and a 9 year old American Pit Bull. About 2 years ago, my golden got VERY sick. It was an incredibly scary time. Dr Elhers never gave up on him. He did Not take NO for an answer, he even sent us for a second opinion. The staff at 434 Animal Hospital called and check on Him every day until he was healed. Thankful that he made a full recovery. My American Pit Bull is a rescue. She had a history or cancer when I got her. I have had her now for a year and Dr Elhers has done two surgeries on her. He is honest and fair with his opinion, his beliefs as to what is best for her as well as her prices. I was nervous when I rescued my Pit Bull as I thought that she would not receive quality care. 434 Animal Hospital has went above and beyond for her. They greet her with loving arms every time she visits. Thank you to the staff for always being constantly loving and caring. Thank you Dr Elhers for providing quality care for my babies. My family appreciates you!

Fantastic experience: I first took one of my dogs to 434 Animal Hospital for a third opinion about a lump on my dog's ear. I was told by first vet it was a hematoma, second vet said it was cancer and he would have to take the ear off for $1600. The vet at 434 Animal Hospital thoroughly examined my dog and diagnosed him with cancer. But he also found the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes and it would not be any better for the dog to remove his ear. I was amazed at how thorough the vet was with the examination and thought the diagnosis was not good I didn't wind up spending $1600 and putting my dog through a surgery that was not going to improve his situation. The vets and the staff are always courteous and professional and the prices are comparable if not better than other veterinarian clinics I have been to.

Fantastic experience: Over the last 15 years of pet ownership and moving between many states and clinics....434 Animal Hospital is one of the BEST I have ever been to. Most importantly they care for my children like that, that they are my children. They are very reasonable with their prices. Also, they are very direct and do not play they “what if this happens game” I never feel that I am sold on tests or procedures or my love of my animals is used against me to have them done. This is truly a place to take your furry children. They will receive A class care, be treated like a family member and you will not be gouged or pressured to pay for unnecessary care

Fantastic experience: My first experience with 434 Animal Hospital was about 2 years ago when one of my fur babies wasn't acting herself. I called to get an appointment for her and I was able to get her in the same day. Everyone was so kind to me and gentle with her. She got to spend 4 days with them and everyday I would stop by and check on her. They would give me a room that was not being used and told me to take all the time I needed with her. She eventually came home and we got about another year with her. Her kidneys failed her and they were always there for me to ask questions regarding her health and care and they always called to check on her. When things got worse they made us feel like we were their only patients and took great care of her and us. They even sent a wonderful card to me after she crossed over the rainbow bridge. Just this week I had to take another fur baby in to see Dr. Ehlers and they were very accomodating getting us in and took great care of us. Although I live on the opposite side of town now, I will continue to take my fur babies to 434 Animal Hospital. Thank you all for all you do!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ehlers and his staff have always offered my pet the best service possible. They are very thorough with his care and treatment and follow up on his condition with periodic calls. I find that the complete staff is very warm, kind and loving to us and our pet, which we consider a family member. Dr. Ehlers is not quick to recommend surgery or a biopsy if there are other safe alternatives, unlike previous vets we had visited years ago. We couldn’t be happier with our fur baby being in their hands and we highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: 434 Animal Hospital... Where to start! From the very beginning, as soon as they pick up the phone, they are warm and helpful up in reception. Making appointments is so easy and they do their best to get you and your baby in as soon as possible, even though they are managing an entire client base with only one doctor on duty. I work a ton and they always somehow accommodate to my schedule. The staff is amazing, to say the least. The young ladies who welcome you when you walk in are so welcoming, when I understand how busy things are for them. The technicians listen to you with full attention, and are so positive and sweet. From start to finish, every part of this hospital cares for your pet and their well being. Dr. Ehlers is so kind and attentive, between him and the technician I feel like every aspect of my kitties' health is asked about and attended to. I recently worked at an Animal Hospital myself, so I understand what a disorganized, careless practice looks like and 434 is the total opposite. These people are good souls, and I will always trust them with my pets. I know with 434 Animal Hospital, everyone is on board for my kitties best interest. (^.^)

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ehlers and ALL of the staff are amazing. The people at the front desk, the techs and Dr. Ehlers himself. I am beyond appreciative of the assistance they have given our cat Abby. They always listen and really care about her. A lot of doctors and their offices for humans could really learn a lesson from the entire 434 team :)
