Experiencia negativa: We used this vet for the 2 years we lived in COS, and while we had mostly positive experiences with them, our last visit felt like a slap to the face. My wife and I noticed our cat had a very enlarged nipple, about 3 or 4 times the size of what it should normally be, so we brought her in for a check up. The staff very obviously did not take my concerns seriously, and while I was left to wait on the doctor, I could hear a few of the staff members loudly joking behind closed doors about my cats “nippleitis” (this is what they were calling it while laughing). The doctor came to see my cat, didn’t think much of her inflamed nipple, and sent me home without anything but orders to “keep an eye on it”. I was then charged a hefty fee for the check up. The last thing anyone wants is a vet who doesn’t take your concerns about the pets you love seriously. If you want a vet who charges over $100 per appointment to make fun of your concerns and act unprofessionally during your visits - this is the place for you.

Experiencia positiva: I hate to update my review but I am also unimpressed with the care provided by the doctors at Faithful Friends after Dr. Puryear’s retirement. The vet techs and front desk staff are all nice which is why I still gave you guys three stars. But we’ve seen most of the new veterinarians and while I know they’re big shoes to fill, unfortunately nobody has come close to Dr. Puryear’s standard of care. Reading responses to negative reviews also makes it clear that the practice manager cares about revenue first and foremost, so based on that I'm happy to take my money elsewhere too. Original review follows. I am so glad we found Dr. Puryear and his team. We’ve entrusted the care of our pets with them for quite a while now and I am quite confident that Dr. Puryear has an earnest desire to give the best quality care to his patients. He has always done a great job of explaining his reasoning for certain treatments and recommendations in ways that are easy to understand. And, of course, our pets are quite healthy and happy, thanks to the quality care given by all the staff at Faithful Friends. I’ve had what I’ll call a rocky experience with veterinary care in the area, so it is a great relief to me to have finally found a veterinarian that gives me peace of mind. I recommend Faithful Friends wholeheartedly!

Experiencia positiva: Everyone is super nice! My only complaint is the cost of a nail trim. It was $25, which was borderline insane. It’s now $27 which is actually insane. I’ll stick to vet services from now on and find a different solution for my dogs nails. (Update from 2025: it’s now $31.49 for a nail trim. THIRTY-ONE FORTY-NINE for a nail trim, bro).

Experiencia fantástica: Great clinic with a very friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Carr is very knowledgeable and professionak. He is very compassionate and you can see and feel his love for animals. Experiencia negativa: I, unfortunately, used to love Faithful Friends Animal Hospital, until a couple experiences ruined my idea of the hospital. First, I overheard a receptionist very visciously judging a client for bringing in a cat for a dental at three years old. No one spoke out against her. The client ended up being right there, as she came to pick up her cat. Second, I brought it in my own cat when she suddenly stopped eating. Even though she hadn't eaten in several days, they sent her home since she was aggressive, in pain, and scared. She was very lethargic. I can understand wanting a patient to be sedated for examination, but my cat was in really bad shape and it seemed like an emergency. They told me to come back tomorrow when she was given gabapentin. The next day, she was neutropenic (low neutrophils, a WBC), severely dehydrated, had bilirubin in her urine, had a UTI, and they sent her home with prednisolone (an immunosuppressant). I wish I knew what I know now because I would NEVER give a cat with an overwhelming infection an immunosuppressant. Surprise surprise, she got worse. I brought her back in to get a feeding tube placed. Again, she got worse. Her heart began to fail. She had to be hospitalized because the immunosuppressant they put her on sent her into septic shock. She very nearly died. It was very touch and go for a while, and she was hospitalized at an internal medicine clinic for a week. It costed me about $20,000. I wish I was kidding. Faithful Friends didn't care. They didn't follow up with me about a patient that came to them for years. I hope FaithFul Friends has gotten better, but the experiences I had with them were horrible. Edit: Let me add, the practice manager commenting on negative reviews with specific client and patient information is ABSOLUTELY a breach in client-patient confidentiality and is report-worthy. It goes to show where the priorities for this clinic lie, unfortunately, and it's not with the clients or their patients. They would rather use confidential patient information to publicly blast negative reviews than actually listen to what these reviews have to say. The positive reviews here are valid for the most part -- but man, when things are bad, they are AWFUL. Please take your pets elsewhere while this practice is under this management. Edit 2: You're being medically misleading. Low WBC can ABSOLUTELY be indicative of an overwhelming infection. She also had a UTI at the time. And again, prednisolone, even at low doses where it is used as an anti-inflammatory, IS immunosuppressive to a degree. The prednisolone caused her to almost die because she had a systemic infection and the drug basically crippled her immune system. If you really cared about animals instead of deflecting blame, then you wouldn't publicly leak specific, confidential patient information. Disgusting behavior.

We have been trying to review this case and cannot find the name on your google account in our system nor does the medical information you provided match a recent case we have seen or reports received from emergency or specialty.

Based on your review, I will say that prednisolone can be prescribed for many different things- it has to be dosed specifically in the immunosuppressant range to work as an immunosuppressant. Also, the last feeding tube we have placed at this facility was over a year ago.

Our doctors want to review this case. Please contact us with your cat’s information so we can review this case. You can also discuss directly with me or one of our doctors. All of this is just not adding up and we would like to look further into it. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Curran was very informative and took her time to explain everything and answer any questions we had. She did not seem rushed. Also, Andrea, the vet tech, was equally helpful and patient. Our senior dog also had a hematoma on his ear and was operated on by Dr. Carr. In follow-up and subsequent appts, Dr. Carr always got done down on the floor with our dog with treats in his pocket and took his time with him and us, always asking if we had further questions. He is very compassionate, and we can tell he loves his job. Highly recommend! Also, kudos to vet techs, Nicole, Lauren, and Amanda (I think that's her name?). Thanks for the great care!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff are always cordial & truly care about the animals & have their best care in ind. Little Skittles is a senior dog with several serious health issues. She's treated very lovingly every time we have to bring her in. She gets very shaky, but settles down as they gently talk to her & calm her down.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m so happy to have found this place. My dog had gotten very ill to where I thought he was dying so I took him to an ER vet where I waited in a room for 5 hours never being seen. I started to call around to see who could help me sooner and faithful friends got us in an appointment and seen almost immediately. My dog is 17, so we’ve become a frequent visitor here. We have been helped by several doctors and front end assistants and every single person has been incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Prices are absolutely fair. There is no other veterinary office I’d rather have helping me take care of my old man. I will continue to use this office and recommend everyone I know to use them. Thank you to everyone who has helped us.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been bringing my dogs to Faithful Friends Animal Hospital since they were puppies, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care they’ve received over the years. My oldest, Bentley, is now 13½, and the team at Faithful Friends has been nothing short of amazing every step of the way. The entire staff is warm, welcoming, and incredibly compassionate, making every visit a positive experience. Dr. Casey Carr deserves special recognition for the outstanding care he has provided. Back in 2021, Bentley was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor, which Dr. Carr skillfully removed with clean margins. His expertise and precision gave us so much peace of mind during a very stressful time. Fast forward to this year, Bentley developed another concerning tumor, which thankfully turned out to be benign. Once again, Dr. Carr’s thoughtful, thorough, and compassionate approach was evident as he successfully removed it. Faithful Friends has consistently gone above and beyond for my dogs, and I truly trust them with my pets’ health and well-being. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that treats your pets like family.

He has been so supportive, valuable, knowledgeable, compassionate and caring (and any other adjectives and adverbs we can use) for my growing German Shepherd puppy, Lady, who will become my service dog. They suggested that we wait for 3 weeks for the remainder of his shots to be given. This tender concern is how we as patients wish our loved ones to be treated.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a wellness check and did an "older" dog panel for one of them. Dr. Curran was outstanding. Friendly to the dogs, easy to talk to and professional about her wellness check. After the check, I felt better about both of our dogs and their health. Kat was our tech and was very good with the dogs. She took pains to give a pain killer to the dogs before they received their lepto shots. I'd recommend Faithful Friends Animal Hospital to anyone who really cares for the health of their pets.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely LOVE faithful friends!!! I will start off by saying I read the one star reviews just because I was curious how this place could ever get anything other than 5, and it seems like most of the 1 stars are just not understanding kind people. Or, there was an issue and faithful friends fixed it. My dog is reactive, so she’s very scared of people, and incredibly protective of me. Dr. Carr was absolutely AMAZING with her. I’ve never had a vet be so understanding and kind to my dog. I’ve never had my dog go to the vet without any incidents, I believe this is because my past vets would rush the process, or just didn’t understand Ada. Dr. Carr was very communicative, kind, and understanding. Great prices too! My dog got into a fight with my other dog, and whenever that had happened at my old vet the exam/antibiotics always cost me upwards of $350. Faithful friends got me a same day appointment, exam, antibiotics, and wound cream all for $150. It was truly amazing. I will be returning forever and with both my dogs :) thank you!!

Experiencia fantástica: I made an online appointment with the clinic describing my sick kitten's symptoms. They immediately called me to offer an appointment earlier in the day due to his symptoms. When we arrived the staff was very friendly. We went straight into an exam room. Our vet and all the technicians helping were very knowledgeable and treated my baby with great care. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone with animals!!

Experiencia fantástica: My new favorite vet clinic! Dr Doyle & Carmen took excellent care of my 11 year old pup Ryder! Ryder tore one of her nails pretty badly and was limping, I brought her in and Dr Doyle did a fantastic job of explaining everything to me related to dogs paws & nails. Carmen and Dr Doyle got Ryder fixed up in about 20 minutes and sent her home with great after care instructions. They also answered every question I had asked without judgement. They were so patient and understanding with Ryders anxiety and protectivness of me which I appreciate so so much. The front desk was also very professional and understood my need to get Ryder in asap! Our animals are part of our families and they really do care about that at Faithful Friends. ❤ Thanks again to the amazing staff at Faithful Friends!

Experiencia positiva: Please stop attempting to contact me; I thought my prolonged lack of response, or maybe the records request from another vet clinic, would give you the idea that I would not be bringing back my pet. The vibes are off. As a business, it feels like the market you're trying to appeal to is affluent people who have given pets to their kids, who have deep pockets and aren't that involved with the family pet. I want to take my pet to a vet clinic where the techs all have battle scars and put more focus on their pragmatic expertise than the "upper crust" fluff of this vet office. Just vibes: Like you're focusing on the wrong, superficial things, like you're focusing more on the aesthetic sensibilities of the person bringing the pet rather than the pet. I had a dentist like this once, too focused on the superficial customer experience rather than the core aspect of the business; He was the worst dentist I ever had and cost me a couple teeth. So maybe that's where my sense comes from, and maybe it's a little unfair to this vet clinic. However, the person who recommended this vet clinic to me also did decide to stop using their services for their own reasons. The vibes are off. On top of all of it, I was at a very low point when I was still a customer, and was forced from a $70k+/yr tech career into doing DoorDash to make rent, and one of your staff members at the time had me deliver to you for no tip at a time when I was forced into accepting deliveries to maintain operational metrics, and that indignity is what fully and finally lost me as a customer. I don't do delivery anymore, and I've since moved to Denver, but maybe you should instruct your staff that they shouldn't do things that reflect poorly on your business like that.

I must say that I disagree that customer experience is superficial. Client experience is one of our core values- we are extremely proud of that and will never apologize for it. Our clients mean everything to us- without them, we wouldn’t have the privilege of taking care of pets. Also, our technicians/assistants have regular training to prevent any “battle scars”. The safety of our team, clients and patients is forefront in how we operate.

I marked you as inactive in our system, so you shouldn’t receive any more reminders from us. Reminders for patients being past due are standard practice at most veterinary clinics. Our protocol is three unanswered communication attempts prior to inactivating.

As far as the tipping issue, this isn’t the platform for this complaint as it doesn’t reflect on the client experience nor patient care that we provide. We don’t have control or knowledge of what our staff does with their finances. If you provide me receipts, I will personally compensate you for your time on behalf of any of our staff members.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Curran and the staff at Faithful Friends were amazing from booking an appointment, to my dogs surgery, to follow up appointments. I can’t say enough good things about my experience and the people who work there. Dr. Curran was extremely attentive to my dog as well as my questions and concerns which I am so thankful for. All of the vet techs were also so incredible and gentle with my dog making this place somewhere I recommend to everyone!

We were having an issue with our 13yr old yorkie , took him to our regular vet and weren’t happy after 4 years of them being our primary vet . Went for a second voice ! They were loving to our anxious dog and basically was the best experience we have ever had with a vet ! We now will be going here and bring our other dog ! Thank you both for loving our dog but also just being real about what we need to do. I will pass your expertise to anyone I know who owns a dog /cat!! Experiencia negativa: Less than a month ago I took my cat Nico in. He had many issues, but his breathing was one of the main concerns for this visit. They did X-rays and told me that he had asthma, so I spent a lot of money to get what he needed for that. A few days ago he had a horrible medical event where we had to rush him to an emergency vet, and he ultimately passed away. They did X-rays, and they said there was no sign of asthma. Instead, it was heart failure and possibly cancer. He was a sick cat, and I'm sure nothing would have saved him. But if we had known, this last month I had with him would've gone very differently, and perhaps we could've done something to be more prepared and make him more comfortable instead of stressing him out with more pills and inhalers he didn't need. Edit to respond: I'm incredibly disappointed in the public response I have received from Faithful Friends. To be clear: yes, Nico squealing in the litterbox was the chief issue that led to the sudden appointment, but I also raised concerns about his breathing (again) which the vet agreed was not normal. It's frustrating and disheartening to see Faithful Friends attempt to downplay and use language to make it sound like they happened to notice the breathing issues during a visit for something else, and I simply confirmed it as if it already wasn't a known concern. Everything that was written publicly about the radiology report was much more specific than the information I received in my visit. For the bladder issue, I was told that he likely had a bladder stone based on something suspicious in the X-ray, although they couldn't 100% confirm that there was anything. For his lungs, I was told there was a cloudiness or something indicative of asthma. Nothing more specific than that, and no mention of his heart. And these are not minor differences between the diagnosis here and at the ER. And you know what? Maybe Faithful Friends was right, and maybe the ER was wrong and who knows what Nico suddenly passed away from. Or maybe something developed quickly in those few weeks and maybe they're both kinda right. But I find it completely inappropriate that Faithful Friends decided to publicly post so many details about Nico's visit and medical history without my permission. I wrote a review expressing sadness and concern, and instead of receiving any real compassion or understanding, I received deflection and public justification that feels more like damage control than care.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Nico presented to our clinic for squealing in the litterbox. During the exam, our doctor noted his increased rate of breathing as well as you mentioning a change to breathing with activity. Full body radiographs and a urinalysis were recommended and performed. Our radiographs are read by a veterinarian who is a board- certified radiologist. He noted sediment in the bladder, diffuse lower airway thickening (that is suggestive of allergic bronchitis) and that Nico’s cardiovascular structures were within normal limits.

As far as what the ER said of heart failure and possible cancer, it’s hard to speak on that as we don’t have those records for review. We would need to know what diagnostics were done, what specialists were involved and why they suggested those two diagnoses, which are completely different diagnoses.

Ultimately, your loss cannot be undone. I have to address your review and claims though. After review of our records, we believe our doctor’s plan was appropriate based on Nico’s current symptoms, exam, diagnostic results and specialist’s report. Our goal is always to improve our patient’s lives. We wish we could have changed his outcome and have you in our thoughts during this time.

Experiencia negativa: Faithful friends has been a big broken bone in the back of my throat eversince they administered a shot for a UTI. The medicine is called convenia. Look it up. Faithful friends will give your pet this shot which isn't for a UTI and then charge you for it. Also, if you call and exercise your right to redress Grievances, faithful friends will become unfaithful and remove you from their practice. Record their behavior when they treat you like a zero with the rim knocked off so you can tell your families not to visit this pet clinic. Our first ammendment allows Americans to flex test our rights to free speech when clinics like this one administer fake medicine. Faithful Friends have a complicated response to authority and are extremely combative and argumentative. Where their feelings begin comcerning your pet, your rights don't end. Speak up. However, faithful friends once was the best clinic for your pet in the entire Colorado Springs area in my opinion until losing this status for me and giving the patients of our pets a reason to sound the alarm. If you want the best for your pets and have a difference of opinion, then this clinic is not the one for you. Please tell your friends they are not faithful.

This review is retaliation for our request to end our relations with you. Per our discussion yesterday, I feel it best you find a different veterinarian for the following reasons:

- There has been continually problems/discrepancies about pricing over the years, as well as claims of overcharging. In the past 7 years of you being a client with us, a little over $750 has been spent by you -with every appointment/visit being under $200. This is extremely low in comparison to what other clients spend at this clinic and most other clinics in the Springs.

- You disagree and question our doctors (dating back to 2018) who have given solid recommendations and treatments while trying to work on your limited budget. Myself and the doctor discussed Convenia as a commonly used injection for UTIs (as well as sent you case studies to prove this). Leo has a documented history of not being able to finish oral antibiotics (In 2020, the doctor at that time gave the very same injection- Convenia, because of Leo’s inability to finish the oral antibiotics). You also expressed concern for administering oral antibiotics at the appointment- this was why Convenia was given.

- Continual requests are made for treatments free of charge or discounted, which we cannot provide.

- Disrespecting my team’s time. At the last visit, you talked with our doctor right before closing. He wanted to get Leo on a pain medication before the weekend and ensured one of our teammates stayed here, after hours, so Leo would have it over the weekend. You were aware of this and never showed.

- Our communication style is very different and makes conversations difficult. For example- you hinted you were going to leave this review by saying “I love reviews”, versus just saying “I will be leaving a review of my experience”. I was very straightforward with you in communicating that we would no longer see you as a client and I gave you the reasoning. This is not an easy conversation to have, but I believe everyone deserves a straightforward discussion, rather than beating around the bush and being passive aggressive. Your review is nothing like how you sounded during our actual conversations.

- You expressed concern about the financial aspect of Leo’s care. I refunded you the total cost of your last visit, to help fund this. I hope he gets the care he needs.

This is a relationship that hasn’t worked over the years- you have expressed frustrations after almost every appointment since 2018. The only possible solution you have requested, is continued treatment free of charge- that is not a mutually benefiting resolution nor grounds for a trusting, long- term relationship.

Experiencia fantástica: I moved down to Colorado Springs from Denver about 8 months ago. I was really sad to leave my vet up North but Faithful Friends has been amazing! I have 3 dogs plus a foster dog and a cat. So far, we’ve been at the vet for all of them (multi-pet households understand) for everything from updating vaccines to a dental surgery on my senior dog. They are quick to get me in and are priced reasonably. They really care about their patients and it shows in their work. So glad to have to found them!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been taking my dog Stella to Faithful Friends for a few years and have always been impressed with the quality of care provided by the outstanding team! In any non-routine visit for sickness or injury, the Vets and technicians have always been upfront with what the problems might be, potential courses of action and any risks/side effects that allowed me to make informed decisions on care for my animal. Any treatment they have provided has been nothing short of exceptional.

Experiencia negativa: We established care at Faithful Friends when I relocated from out of state earlier this year. We have a crew of 3 dogs and 2 cats that we established and have seen 3 different vets. I really liked Dr Daigle and Dr Curran’s bedside manner and they really seem to care. I had a poor experience with Dr Doyle where I felt she did a poor exam (missed several concerning findings that Dr Curran was very worried about when I brought him back in for another opinion afterwards), didn’t offer solutions or a follow up. I felt she was dismissive about my concerns, stating that constipation is common in cats. He received 4 enemas at this visit and was sent home without follow up or what I should expect. He ended up having megacolon and has since passed, no fault to Faithful Friends. Dr Curran was wonderful at supporting us to keep him comfortable and offering options. I felt she listened to me and my concerns when I told her I wanted a second opinion from the visit with Dr Doyle. Katie, the office manager had reached out to me regarding follow up where I shared with her my dissatisfaction with the initial vet’s exam and lack of follow up as well as lack of discharge instructions. Twice my cat was sent home after anesthesia heavily sedated without any discharge information and the second time without speaking the to vet to know about how the procedure went until we pushed to talk to her. Katie expressed a lot of concern and desire to make it right. She told me at the next visit we had scheduled, which was for our dog’s vaccines the following week, that she would be present in the room and that Dr Curran would like to talk to me about my experience with the first vet. None of these happened and I did not meet Katie or have follow through. I did not feel like bringing this up as it was a week after our cat died, however I would have been happy to have resolution and follow through as was promised. I do think they care, I’m not sure if it’s a staffing issue, but the lack of follow through and delivery of care has lead us to seek care elsewhere for our furry family.

I need to start out by saying I apologize. When you had the bad experience initially, it was completely valid and I agreed with you then and I agree with you now. I will say that Dr. Doyle is no longer with us and we made changes to our discharge protocols directly because of your concerns.

I want to address the next appointment after our conversation. We had planned on doing a follow up of your concerns with Ollie along with Parker and Sammy’s yearly (I believe the plan was for you to bring Ollie in as well). Dr. Curran had consulted with a specialist for long term management on Ollie’s case and planned on discussing it at that visit. Our conversation took place prior to Ollie’s passing. Once Ollie had passed, the notes for the follow up/appointment had been removed because he was marked as deceased in our system and I wasn’t notified of you coming in because of this. As far as why Ollie wasn’t discussed at the appointment, Dr. Curran had planned on discussing his long-term care, the consultation with the specialist, as well as Ollie’s quality of life, but by the time of the appointment, Ollie had passed. It’s an extremely sensitive time after the passing of a pet and can be difficult to navigate for each client. We typically will let the client lead on discussions of their deceased pets.

Ultimately, I’m still disappointed with what caused your initial frustrations and I’m upset with myself for not following through when you came in. I can only make changes to improve moving forward. You had given us a positive 5-star review then went down to a 1-star review, but more importantly you had trusted us and that trust was broken. I feel personally responsible. For that, I am truly sorry.

Experiencia fantástica: Call on Thursday and they were able to get my cat , that day and they explained everything very thoroughly and they treated him with lots of care. Monday took him early for extraction of his teeth they were in really bad shape. Will have was under I asked them to shave him and they took care of that and cut him nails. Faithful friends is going to be my go to Vet clinic from now on. Highly recommended

Experiencia fantástica: I have been bringing my two senior dogs to Faithful Friends since about 2018 for everything from general wellness exams and shots to troubleshooting allergy complications, gastro concerns, or simply finding out how to make what years they have left with me to be the best and most comfortable possible. Generally speaking, I/we had always had a decent experience with the former resident veterinarians, even if it felt as if i was lacking the information or answers or compassion I felt that my dogs deserved at times, and have continued to exclusively return there since that’s where we had established care and history for both dogs and the level of care received was adequate. That being said, the somewhat recent change in a majority of the staff was a somewhat unexpected but extremely welcomed and positive change! My boy, Dexter (who is almost 15 years old and now my only remaining “child” since his sister passed away in September, 2023 at the ripe old age of 15), was seen by Dr. Daigle right before Christmas for some suspected gastro concerns, lethargy, and loss of appetite, for which I anticipated to be prescribed a diet change. Dr. Daigle and every single other person on staff (I’m so sorry I cannot remember everyone’s names yet!) listened to my concerns and to my surprise, didn’t just write it off as “he’s old, that’s how old dogs are…”. Instead, she ran some routine tests and offered to perform a quick ultrasound to make sure he didn’t have any GI obstructions, which seemed like a logical non-invasive thing to do, even if it was potentially for nothing more than my own piece of mind. A little while later she returned and informed me that she had found what she suspected was an abnormal growth/mass on or near his spleen. We came back the next day for some more in-depth testing where a splenic hemotoma was confirmed. Dr. Daigle communicated the all potential risks and what treatment options were available with clarity and compassion. Fast forward today, January 15th and I am very happy to say that at almost 15 years old, Dexter has fully recovered from an emergency splenectomy and has somehow managed to not only overcome the physical trauma of such an experience, but that he is truly thriving! His puppy-like personality, appetite, and energy levels have returned as if he were 10 years younger! I simply cannot find the words to express the gratitude for Dr. Daigle everyone at Faithful Friends for the exceptionally high level of care they provided Dexter! Truly good-hearted and caring people are seemingly few and far between, but I am eternally grateful that I can continue to share a life with my best friend for a few more years! I will continue to shout my recommendation of Faithful Friends Animal Hospital at the top of my lungs for all to hear! Thank you all so much for what you do!

Experiencia fantástica: We had a minor emergency with our cat and they squeezed us right into their schedule. Not only were they thorough, they did everything with positivity. The vet was so informative and went above and beyond with ensuring our cat was healthy and happy. Cannot recommend this animal hospital enough. Another plus was their pricing! We were stunned to walk out with an exam, meds, a kitty cone of shame, and two injections they gave her to help with swelling and manage the infection for way under what we were bracing ourselves for based off other vets in the area. If your furry companion needs any veterinarian care, trust this vet hospital.

Experiencia negativa: Edit: Update so went to a new vet and very first visit they drew blood and figured out my dog has a liver infection. I brought my dog to faithful friends 3 times over a month. Paid 700 and they didn’t run a single test. Not blood work or anything. So now I’m wondering why they never actually even tried to figure out what the problem was. On the 3rd visit faithful friends recommended we did an ex ray before even doing blood. Stay away from faithful friends. Now after taking my dog to a new vet I can say without a doubt that this clinic has no idea how to handle sick dogs. Or they are just a money grab clinic now with zero compassion for your animal. I’m also convinced my dogs liver infection is because the second dr visit with faithful friends they prescribed him 3 meds and vaccinated him. Something the first vet recommended against but the second one claimed it was fine. Original first visit was for an infected anal gland. Left with. Dog with a liver infection. Funny thing is the second dr doesn’t even work there anymore and completely lied on the records about us denying checkups. Been using this vet for over a decade. Over the last few years has not been the same. New dr every time we come in, different info and recommendations from each dr. My dog is having issue and we have been in for 3 appointments, spent $600 and not a single test or anything to help my dog has been done. Complete money grab veterinary clinic now. My dog doesn’t even like going there anymore. He used to love the original vet that owned the clinic. So did we.

Hello Andy,

I’m sorry to hear that Diesel and your family have been through this hard time. I also apologize that your recent experience with Faithful Friends did not exceed your expectations as that is our goal and what we strive for with every client and patient. However, there are some things stated in your review that I need to address:

-You have been a client for a decade as stated in your review and we have notes that you prefer to stay with one veterinarian. Unfortunately, we had a doctor go on emergency leave within the last month and it has required us to get several other doctors who are willing to cover for her on a short notice. This has been the reason you have seen multiple doctors within the past month. If you request a certain doctor, we try to go above and beyond and schedule you with that requested doctor, but if you want the “soonest available”, we schedule accordingly. Having several different doctors on staff is not typically how Faithful Friends runs, but it is beyond our control under our current circumstances.

- We have a record of you bringing in Diesel 4 times over the past month and the total cost between these 4 visits was $508.86. The first visit was his annual exam with an anal gland issue as a presenting complaint and being confirmed. Rechecks were recommended to ensure his anal gland was healing properly- this is the reason for the following two visits. By the third visit, the anal gland issue had resolved, but you noted another concern. At the time of your additional concern, we recommended diagnostics to be done (starting off with x-rays and moving on from there), but you declined. At the fourth visit, Diesel continued to have the same symptoms and diagnostics were again recommended, but you declined.

- It is also worth mentioning, that between these 4 visits, there is noted to be a transition in care or ownership between family members. There was confusion on your end as to what was done/said during the consultations as there were different family members bringing in Diesel to these appointments. We tried to clarify this confusion during the consultations as well as over the phone.

- You stated a liver infection was diagnosed at your last vet visit. We have records of Diesel’s liver elevations dating back to 2020. We have recommended working this up with further diagnostics, but you have not pursued it. The medications our doctors prescribed nor the vaccines administered could cause a liver infection.

While it is unfortunate that you all went through this and are still going through it, I felt a need to address the accusations that you chose to display on a public forum as there are significant inaccuracies between your review and our record. It is everyone’s right to be able to comment on their experience, but I believe several of your statements are unfair due to these inaccuracies.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve been going to faithful friends animal hospital for approximately 30 years. I went before they moved to their new clinic and opened up the beautiful location on Barnes Road. For the entire time Bill Puryear was our vet and he was outstanding, compassionate, and extremely thorough with every dog I’ve ever owned. His vet knowledge is one of the kind. He recently left the veterinary clinic and retired. This was a huge loss to the clinic. I continued taking my dog there for the past several months and struggled with inconsistent care, different veterinary doctors and results by email where questions and personal contact became difficult. Recently, my dog had a kidney diagnosis. And they suggested that I come back to the clinic multiple times for different tests. Living far away it made it extremely difficult, not combining all of the test in one visit, which was in fact possible. They took his blood pressure in the clinic when he was extremely frightened and told me they were unable to take his blood pressure in the car where we would get a more accurate reading. As a result, his blood pressure came back extremely high, and they suggested that I put him on blood pressure medication that would further complicate his kidney problems. It was then I decided to get a second opinion thank God I did. His blood pressure is perfectly normal and has been for two visits and I didn’t put him on medication unnecessarily. I think the new vets at this location, mean well but have gone to a more commercialized approach and I lost the personal amazing care of one of their best vets of all time. Please do your research and make sure that your Animal is not getting treated unnecessarily

Our doctors have taken on many long-term clients/patients and have handled it so well. Unfortunately, there is expected loss with a transition like this. I have worked at this clinic for many years and have been here through this transition. I could not be prouder to be a part of this team and have full faith in our doctors.

I discussed with you last month your concerns and scheduled a phone consult with one of the doctors to discuss Dooley’s case (to include trying to work out the testing schedule due to you living far away), you canceled the day before. I wish you would have kept that consult because that may have altered your opinion and decision making.

Experiencia fantástica: I really like this clinic, everyone is always super helpful and friendly. Even the hospital manager Katie makes herself available to clients. The Dogtors are amazing, I think they are all in the right profession, they fawn over every patient. Mrs. Lynn is AMAZING and always smiling.

Experiencia fantástica: I made the mistake of baby sitting my daughter's dog and my puppy got parvo. Zenna ; my puppy wasn't eating, drinking water or really moving. By day two I wasn't sure she was going to make it. Such a scary experience but the ladies were there for us. And they were the cheapest hospital in Colorado springs. Zenna is doing so much better and I owe it to these wonderful ladies.

Experiencia fantástica: My 5 month old puppy got sick and Faithful friends was so kind to me. I came in crying because I had lost my daughter a few months ago and when my puppy got sick it was a little overwhelmed to me. They were so gentle with me and got straight to the problem got him his meds and he is now a healthy puppy again!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Faithful Friends Animsl Hospital for over 20 years. There is a reason why I go back every single time that any of my beloved pets get sick or hurt. The staff is very friendly, informative, compassionate and attentive. Inside of the clinic, in the waiting room and in the exam rooms, are well-kept, clean, sterile, and easily accessible. And the most important part to me is the vets that are there. Every vet I have worked with there have all been very helpful, and will work with you and your pets. They treat your pet patient as if they were their own personal pet by taking the time to discuss any questions, concerns, possible outcomes and assistance that could be needed, along with future options, treatment plans and suggestions. As long as Faithful Friends is around, I could never ask for any other veterinarian and their outstandibg technicians. If you need a great vet, you won't go wrong with them

Experiencia fantástica: Faithful Friends Animal Hosp. got our new rescue dog in same day we got him... whew! Because we were desperate! We were so relieved to get care and very good care. He was a very sick dog. I cried in the office as the shock wore off, not knowing if this little guy would survive. We have hope and he's beginning to heal. Thank you Faithful Friends, for your excellent attn and care! Thank you also to the great Vet tech- she was awesome and brought in humor to lighten the load.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been patients at Faithful Friends for well over 25 years. We are always treated with the utmost respect and care. We have sent several people there and all have become permanent patients as well. My son brought his 8-year old pit/English mastiff here from Phoenix. He absolutely adores the doctors here. From the first visit, he gets excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot! His tail instantly has a helicopter spin. A great place to bring our pets. We feel like family here.

I have been looking for a long time for a place like Faithful Friends Animal Hospital where they are really interested in what happens with my pets and take care of us with love and kindness and they did it, in addition to the Veterinary Doctor in charge of my dog ​​and her assistant , they explained to me in detail the studies, results and treatment to follow. Experiencia fantástica: Our puppy ended up getting very sick between 3-4 months of age and we almost lost her. Faithful Friends was able to get her in and seen immediately and on the right track. We had multiple visits and saw multiple vets and vet techs due to the nature of the illness and they were all wonderful as well as the front desk staff. Our Oaklee was treated like a celebrity. They should get more than 5 stars based solely on dealing with me because I was a wreck. Luckily we have had no recurrences and our sweet girl is now almost 8 1/2 months old and about 90 pounds and thriving! Thank you Faithful Friends!

Experiencia negativa: The vet was AMAZING!!! We see Dr.Puryear, he was so kind and explained everything very well and took time to answer any questions we had! Our technician Kat however was very rude. She made it very apparent that she was not pleased with our dogs behavior. We could hear her talking rudely about our dog while she took him back for blood work. She was very rude to us as we were trying to help get our dog who it was very apparent was nervous back. The odds of us coming back are very slim. If we return it will be interesting that we do not have Kat agin, the only reason the come back would be Dr.Puryear who was amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to get my pup in as soon as possible and they got her in as fast as I could drive her. The care was great and considered what was best for my shy pup. Experiencia fantástica: The staff was courteous, professional, and kind during both the exams, and treatment of my dogs. I truly got the sense that they care about animals, and felt very comfortable letting them keep my pets overnight. They went over everything in terms of a treatment plan, and what the cost would be upfront. Jamie and bean are currently finishing up their de-worming meds, happy and healthy. So thankful for faithful friends, and their amazing staff!

Experiencia fantástica: Front staff was awesome! Megan was so kind and understanding. My frenchie went in for an ultrasound due to blood in his urine. The Dr and assistant provided excellent care. They explained the procedure and went over the treatment plan and cost. Competitive rates. 10/10 highly recommend for compassionate, thorough care for your pet !

Experiencia fantástica: Staff remember your pets name. The docs will do everything to find what's with them. My 2 dogs had surgery within a week of each other. One was an emergency snd they took care of him asap. Been with this place for 18 years. Love them.
