Experiencia fantástica: I am new to Austin and feel fortunate to have found a great vet. I have been working with Dr Scott Mash, and he has always been very compassionate, thorough, and tireless in his effort to care for my elderly dog Simba. He is prudent to pursue the simplest and cheapest interventions first, but considers all possibilities.

Experiencia fantástica: We take our Pyrenees mix to the Tech Ridge clinic. He has severe PTSD with anxiety. This is one of the few places he is happy to go! He absolutely loves these folks! They have cared for him since we rescued him last summer and go far and beyond for him every visit. They even treat us as wonderfully as him! Being elderly with 130lb dog isn’t easy.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Kautz and all of the staff are so helpful in making a stressful experience for my dog a pleasant one. I’ve been a client since they opened and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. My large dog has high anxiety for vet visits but everyone is so helpful, understanding, and patient with her. They’re also dependable with the schedule and don’t leave us waiting in the lobby so that we can get in and out as efficiently as possible. Dr. Kautz also is very knowledgeable and able to answer questions clearly. I know my girl is in good hands and getting the best level of care possible.

When Dr Jordan Kautz opened Crestview Veterinary Clinic on Burnet Road, he offered comprehensive veterinary knowledge coupled with compassionate care. He hired the finest in veterinary & support staff to fulfill this purpose. And he has exceeded any and all expectations. My personal experience with the care of my pets has been the best I've ever known from Dr Kautz & Dr Butcher to each staff member of this devoted Crestview Veterinary Clinic family.

Experiencia negativa: Please read if your dog is large or deep-chested. This review is long overdue. The loss of my dog was profoundly painful, and it has taken me a long time to find the words to share this. I brought my 12-year-old Lab to this clinic after she began collapsing for no clear reason. The vet said he could see nothing wrong with her aside from her known diabetes-related issues and intermittent blindness. He said she appeared to be fine. Not long afterward, my dog suffered an acute emergency and died from gastric dilation-volvulus (bloat). Her death was extremely painful and traumatic. I have since learned that unexplained collapse can be one of the early warning signs of bloat, particularly in large or deep-chested dogs, and that there are preventive measures that may be available. I wish I had been given any guidance about this risk and the options available. I am writing this out of responsibility to other pet parents. If your dog is at higher risk for bloat, I urge you to ask very specific questions and seek additional opinions. I hope sharing our experience helps another family avoid the pain we went through.

Experiencia fantástica: I bring my kitties to Crestview, and I always recommend it to friends! I’m very thankful to everyone at the clinic for their care and expertise. I particularly appreciate how Dr. Kautz has managed the treatment of my senior cat, who has multiple conditions.

Experiencia negativa: I had the worst experience ever with this location! Took them few days to get back to me with blood work results. Had to call back few times to request a written report. The worst part is this: My cat has high blood sugar level of about 500, which is considered an emergency. They gave him 2 unit insulin 1 time a day, which is useless. I waited 6 more days, and called back to have them to increase his intake for 2 times a day, which is the least minimal, and they still refused, saying he needs to stay on 1 dose for another 2 weeks. Dr. Katz, who initially took us in, well, it’s a disgrace in my opinion that he is allowed to practice medicine. When I called them on the phone later that day to confront them about their lack of professional treatment they demonstrated, well, they didn’t liked my opinion about the subject and told me to go somewhere else to seek treatment for my cat. What a joke!! Who told them that I am even interested to stay with them?! Not even for free I don’t!! I had few other diabetic cats before, which I took care of them myself with professional guidance of other great vets, and these cats lived very long life with proper treatment. If you are looking for professional vet hospital, you need to look elsewhere! I would not go there for free!!

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience. Rocket had a broken nail that looked extremely painful. I was able to get a same day appointment for a Rocket even as a new patient. He was able to get the broken nail removed the following day. He's home now doing well and getting pampered. The Doctors at the clinic and surgery center were thorough as expected. Thanks for taking care of my fury son.

He was thorough and gave us plenty of his time and expertise, explaining some of the procedures our four dachshunds will be having. Also, I didn’t feel like we were being overcharged like it felt at other vets. Finally, Crestview has their own pharmacy and we were able to save 65% off the meds we were getting from chewy.com.

Experiencia fantástica: I have tried many vets in Austin and this one takes the cake. My little dachshund had IVDD and had to get surgery. They got him in as soon as possible and the vet herself was calling around different hospitals to get us quotes. Without her dedication to my dog, he would not be able to walk. I cannot recommend Crestview enough. And they are upfront and affordable. They actually care about your animals!!!

He is quite knowledgeable I was impressed with his thoroughness, professionalism, and kindness. My cat is improving daily and Dr. Mash is continuing to monitor his progress. We were very impressed with Dr. Mash and his tech Ashtin was terrific as well!

In fact, I drive all the way across town because of the excellent service and care they provide. This morning, I felt overwhelmed with my senior cat's health issues. They answered my call quickly and provided the solution. If you hate long wait times on the phone and are looking for vets who care, RUN, DON'T WALK to CRESTVIEW vets.

Making the appointment was easy as was getting into the exam room. The technician and vet were great- professional and empathetic. Th wait time in exam room was a bit long- almost 30'. I will return there for my pet's care.

We usually see Dr. Carmona and Ashtin and love them, they make my anxious dog as comfortable as they can and are always extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. We've also used them for dental services and have had great experiences. I highly recommend them!

Experiencia fantástica: What a spectacular experience! I rescued a Rottweiler from Dallas Animal Services. They were not truthful regarding the Rot’s health. Within 2 days of having this precious dog she became severely sick. I went to an emergency clinic the night before and didn’t get the care I needed so I searched and found Crestview Veterinary Clinic and WOW! From the frantic call I made to them to the end, all staff so loving and caring! Dr. Crawford took the time to explain our options and is a life saver! So thankful!

Experiencia negativa: Really bad experience. Had an app. for 7:30 am and had a courtesy call from their front desk that the Doctor called in. I was told to DROP OFF and that they can get me in and done before 9am as long as I DROP OFF. Was on my way 15 after my appointment but had to DROP OFF anyways cause doctor was not available. Was called while on my way and was told that they had no spot available for me cause they were swamped. They could have just told me to reschedule since their Doctor was out. Very dissapointed on how this was handled.

Experiencia negativa: Have been a long time customer here, but sadly practice has completely gone downhill. Took my dog to get routine teeth cleaning, put down $100 non-refundable deposit they request only to find out xray machine was broken for 3 weeks. Once xray machine was fixed, took her in at 8am and procedure was supposed to be done by 3pm. The vet called at 3:30pm and said her cleaning had not even started because they overbooked. Meaning our dog will not have eaten for almost 24 hrs when we pick her up. They did not even provide a call to let us know they overbooked and her procedure would be delayed. Really disappointed in them & their lack of pet first mentality!

She’s been with our pets & family through happy experiences (new pets, healthy checkups) and scary/sad ones (surgery, cancer, pet loss). Experiencia fantástica: My cat is very anxious about vet visits. Dr. Cremona and the nurse were very understanding about her anxiety and let us stay in the room for about 20 minutes after the rabies shot to let her calm down enough to get her in her carrier.

Experiencia negativa: Unscrupulous corporate greed at its finest. I emailed these corporate owned vets for a quote which they sent back. When I showed up for the appointment, the price was not only higher, but didn’t include two of the services on the quote they emailed me 30 days prior to when I made the appointment. Said they raised their prices in the new year, but that didn’t work because it was after the new year. After 40 minutes of back-and-forth while they came in and out of the room they decided to give me a $20 discount which only amounted to $10 when I paid. Local vets from here on out.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone at Crestview (both the Burnet and Airport locations) has always been a joy to deal with. The doctors, vet techs and front desk staff are always great. Even though our chihuahua, Mindy, can be a handful, no one has ever shown any frustration dealing with her.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an amazing clinic. The staff is very accommodating with appointments and flexibility. The clinic is charming and clean. The part that I appreciate most is how my cats and I are treated -- mostly my 2 cats. I can tell the vet techs and Dr. Carmona actually love kitties. Dr. Carmona has a thorough way of explaining pertinent information and draws on quite a bit of experience and anecdotal advice. I love coming to this clinic because Dr. Carmona and all the vet techs I've met have a great sense of humor -- which helps when it's tense bringing your cat to the vet. One of the things I truly appreciate about Dr. Carmona is his ability to truly listen. He is also flexible when ideas are discussed. I can tell he truly loves what he does.

The front office staff have been super helpful. The techs are amazing with my sweet boy! And Dr. Carmona & Dr. Butcher are so knowledgeable & patient with my pup & me! Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to Crestview for 5 years and love them so much, but an emergency situation with one of my cats last week made me even more grateful for the top-notch care they provide. The support staff was so helpful, from Bernadette, who wrote back to my email before Crestview had opened for the day and reminded me I could schedule online (which, in my panic, I had forgotten); to Kim who was a calm presence at the front desk every time I called or came in. We usually see Dr. Kautz, who is kind and thorough and really fantastic, but he was in surgery when our cat got sick. Since it was an emergency, we saw Dr. Sobhi instead. She was smart, knowledgeable, answered our million questions with patience, and was also mindful of cost while providing the best care for our sick family member. I didn't feel judged for not being the richest person around and she gave me the option of treatment first for the most likely scenario, and further testing if the situation persisted. When it did and we had to come in again the next day, Crestview worked us in and were as kind as could be about it which I really appreciated. For every decision we had to make they gave us several options and the pros and cons of each. It really helped when I was stressed out to have it all laid out for me plainly. Now my cat is feeling much better and I have a plan to minimize her issues in the future. I also really appreciated the check in they did the next week to make sure she was doing better. It means so much to have a team that cares about us and our animals.

The Doctor (Dr. Sobhi I believe) was so nice and caring, and our cat Beans loved the vet tech (her name stared with an A). The vet tech treated beans like she was her own cat, and it meant the world to us. The best part is that Beans ear looks better than it has in over a month, so we're hopeful that Crestview treated the problem that was still lingering from the previous vet. We'll be using Crestview as our vet from now on, thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: After a couple of visits with the veterinarians who took over the practice of my "normal" clinic, I took the advice of a friend and brought my motley crew to Crestview Burnet because of an ongoing explosive diarrhea issue we were having between the four dogs. I was extremely impressed with their patience and the time and care they took to examine each dog for the "baseline" exam, and the time taken to meet with me after each individual exam to discuss their current and future care. Two of the dogs being elderly and all four range both ends of the social scale, their team handled each with expert care and thoughtfulness. Most importantly, no more diarrhea (a cure that eluded my previous veterinarian). I am so happy to have found this clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve taken my dogs to Crestview on Burnet for about 3 years and I’ve always been very happy with the care my dogs have received. They are excellent at communication and educating pet parents about their pets health. They were so compassionate and kind when our family had to say goodbye to one of our babies. The last time I visited they were super busy and behind on appointments, but they went around the waiting room to each person waiting to explain what was going on (they were dealing with an emergency). I thought this was really kind of them. I know I can always count on them to do their best to take care of us. I highly recommend this clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to VCA northwest hills for about 5 years, after Dr. Sophia left I feel like the service became more corporate, the prices increased and overall just wasn’t what I wanted in a vet. I also didn’t like that they couldn’t take on site xrays same day. I came to Crestview based on reviews and so far they have been great. They got my injured pup in right away, did X-rays on site, were very thorough and the pricing was as fair as it could be for what I needed. I also needed two prescriptions called in and they did it right away with zero hassle. Although I’m down to one pup from my original three, this will be my vet of choice moving forward

Experiencia positiva: Although the staff at Crestview are very nice, I have to say my latest visit was not pleasant. I made an appointment at 12pm, which was offered to me as a regular appointment, not an emergency appointment, and was kept waiting for an hour before even seeing the vet. My dog needed an x-ray and bloodwork, so with these and the review of these results, I was there for 2 hours! My poor dog was beside himself, he was so ready to leave. Not a great experience. Oh and I was late returning to work, also not great. I just wish they had not offered this particular time for appt if they could not accommodate it.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the most amazing experience with Dr. Carmona and his lead surgery technician Aly!! My dogs are my whole world and they both made me feel like my pup was their whole world too! I felt so comfortable knowing she would be undergoing surgery under their care. Dr.Carmona is so understanding and comforting with any questions. He has such a good heart and love for animals!! Aly took extra time to go over every detail I asked about and explained the medications so well so when I got home I knew exactly what to do. I had a few questions the day after surgery and before I had a chance to call they had called to check in on my pup! I 110% recommend Crestview!!

Experiencia positiva: I could not get in to see my regular vet Allandale. I called Crestview vet and they immediately made an appointment for the same day. They were all very nice and efficient. My dog was diagnosed with an UTI I would highly recommend this vet and will probably change to them

Experiencia fantástica: The staff is very sweet and efficient. Our dog loves getting to see all the techs and vets at the clinic. In my posted photo you can see Murphy eagerly waiting for the staff to return to the exam room. The clinic is always very clean with amenities in the waiting area for the pet owners. Our dog’s bloodwork panel results came in quickly and on a Saturday, I didn’t expect them until the following Monday so that was a lovely surprise. Our dog has been seeing the doctors here for his whole life and we have never regretted a visit there. Thank you Crestview VC!

Experiencia fantástica: This was our first time to this office. We are new to the area. The staff was welcoming and kind. Offered me water, brewed coffee, and nitro brew coffee . Staff was very courteous and patient with our 100 pound Bernedoodle and the doc was great. Very excited to have found Crestview and we are definitely keeping this office as our home for our pooch.

The doctors have both been excellent at explaining in laymen's terms what is going on medically, and straight forward about things like cost. Dr. Crawford has been incredibly kind and patient as we're dealing with what seems like end of life care with our senior cat. She seems genuinely invested in the situation, and has a very gentle demeanor that makes this difficult situation easier to handle. We've been to the vet more than we wish, but if we have to go, we're grateful it's Crestview.

She was the sole reason that my cat was able to be treated for tapeworm right then and there after spotting one in the appointment room. She even went as far as to bring out paperwork I’d forgotten to my car before I left! I truly cannot thank her enough, give this girl a raise!! (:

My dog had an eye infection that i had tried different medicines for (including prescription from another vet) but the one that was provided at my visit with Crestview finally worked for it. I highly recommend Dr. Carmona!

Experiencia negativa: Emailed me that my dog had kidney disease and cancer. EMAIL. Not a phone call. Email right before close of business. Note this was after his last testing that I had to call and ask if they had results because it had been several days after expected. They also said it was difficult to find oncologists in the area that it could be weeks before he could be seen. The next morning they did put in referrals. I also called places and booked a couple appointments to get multiple specialists opinions to make the best choice for my dog. Within the week was first available not weeks as they led me to believe. When the places requested records, Crestview didn’t send and said I had another appointment somewhere else. One place cancelled my appointment, I show up for appointment time and they were confused and didn’t have all records needed. Thankfully they were still able to accommodate his appointment time. There are several other reasons but that was the final one for me. I would strongly consider other options before this.

My normal vet was out on leave last week when I noticed my sweet baby girl probably had a UTI, so I called around and Crestview was able to get me in the same afternoon. The staff was wonderful and caring, and they were able to get me the antibiotics my girl needed. Thankfully she's back to her sassy self and thank you to the staff at Crestview!

Experiencia fantástica: We have 2 newly adopted pups. One had a contagious upper respiratory infection when we got her from Austin animal center. The shelter had started treatment but told us we need to get her to a vet quickly so we could finish her treatment and to make sure the other dog didn't come down with the same thing. Crestview was able to quickly get us in to see the vet, we saw Dr S. Vigil. She won them over with some spray cheese while she gave them a full checkup and got both our new girls ready to live the good life they deserve. We went for a follow up visit this week. They both got the all clear from the respiratory issues and their final booster for Distemper and Parvo along with 6 months of Heartgard+. She also covered lots of info about flea treatments and heartworm treatments available. Both girls are doing great. Our experience with Crestview was great. It costs more when you bring in two dogs, Crestview seemed to have fair pricing compared with other vets we've used previously for other pets. We're happy with them and it was great that they got us in when we needed to quickly see a vet for our new family members.

The rest of the staff is wonderful as well. They explain everything to you and make sure your pets are as comfortable as possible during the visit.

Experiencia fantástica: All of the staff were excellent, especially my tech Nancy. Dr. Kautz always takes time with me and my cat, and he answers all of my (many) questions completely. Also, he is prompt following up personally with lab results, and he explains in detail what the plan for my cat's care should be moving forward. I also like how I am shown an estimate before the exam and bloodwork; this helps to avoid any surprises. I know that my cat is in such good hands. Thank you! :)

Experiencia fantástica: Been here several times for our three huskies. Most recently, the staff was incredible with everything we wanted to have looked at and checked out for our oldest husky for her annual exam. She went in for a dental cleaning, needed some teeth removed, and we also had some concerns about a mass on her back and her hips, so they were able to take hip xrays, treat the mass, and handle her teeth all in one appointment which is much less stress on her since she gets very anxious at the vet. Staff was super informative and helpful in answering our questions and explaining everything.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Carmona makes every vet visit amazing. Every time I am greeted with a smile, answers to all my questions, and a very caring demeanor. He is very sweet with my dog, always gentle, and makes sure my pet has everything she needs to be healthy. The entire staff at Crestview is amazing, polite, and caring. Wonderful vet. practice. Side note, and something important to me, I have had veterinarian experiences where it felt more like a business than a place to care for my pet's health. This is not the case at Crestview. They have never pushed me to buy any products or perform any procedures/labs or anything. When it came to pet products (my girl had a horrible plaque on her teeth) I was given the name of different products but not once was I pushed to buy anything through the vet. Same with labs, I was informed what labs would be good to do, and the decision of how, when, and where to do was always mine. This is valuable to me and makes me feel very comfortable at Crestview.

Everyone from the receptionist, to the vet techs, to the vets are wonderful. The staff as a whole seem like they really care and sensitive and understanding to my sensitive Copper girl’s fear of the vet. The front desk is very responsive when I call with questions. Experiencia fantástica: I just moved to Austin and was looking to establish with a veterinary clinic and picked this one based on their reviews and online ratings. Choosing Crestview was literally one of the best decisions I’ve made. Even before my first appointment, I had to call due to my dog having a major problem with fleas, and as this is my first pet, and I am new to the pest problems of the TX Hill Country, I was completely overwhelmed and unsure what to do to help her until I could get in for a visit and the staff answering the phone was so kind and patient and really did everything they could to explain some steps I could take until I could get my dog in. When I did make it in for an appointment for her annual wellness checkup and clinic visit for the fleas, both me and my pet were really anxious. Katelyn (our vet tech) and Dr. Marie Butcher, as well as the rest of the staff, were so kind and patient. They made sure that both me and my dog were comfortable, went out of their way to make sure my pet felt safe and that the exam was as stress free as possible and took the time to walk me through my options, establish a plan for future visits, and work to accommodate my needs (in terms of budget). Vet visits can be stressful because you are so worried about the health, happiness, and safety of a part of your family and I felt that we were both so well taken care of and heard. I am so grateful for their compassion and professionalism and highly recommend. I am so glad that I was fortunate enough to find them for Paisley and look forward to using them for all of her health needs in future. Truly, Katelyn, Dr. Marie, the whole staff 10/10.

And, Dr. Butcher has been our pups primary doctor for the majority of his life. She has always provided invaluable advice and support as we have navigated several health obstacles with our pup over the years. We have seen a few other doctors at Crestview on occasion and have had good impressions of them as well. We would and do recommend Crestview!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Kautz and his staff helped to make my dog calm and comfortable. Abi Rose was shaking nervously as we arrived, but they all took the time to speak sweetly to her and touched her gently. I admire Dr Kautz patience explaining to us the details about her condition, going over all her meds and the best way to give them to her as well as possible side effects. Dr Kautz listened to our concerns with genuine interest and compassion and we felt that we had options about how far to go on testing. The diagnosis was very accurate and Abi is feeling almost normal after just one day of treatment. We are very grateful.

All the staff, from the receptionist to the veterinarians are always friendly and accommodating. They always do a great job of explaining treatments, and giving options without added pressure.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently switched my dog’s vet care over to Crestview at the recommendation of some good friends of mine who only had wonderful things to say about them, and I couldn’t be happier! Everyone we interacted with was kind and friendly. My little beagle absolutely loved the vet tech and Dr. Butcher. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and caring. They took the time to explain things to me and answer any questions that I had, as well as love on my sweet Remi and load her up with plenty of pets and treats. She has never been sadder to leave the vet’s office, lol.

Experiencia fantástica: I regret that I forgot the names because I was having such a good time. The conversations were great, the interactions were great, the attention and care towards Archie was great. It was just amazing. Normally I would say "I can tell they love animals" but at this location, you can FEEL the love they have for animals. Kudos to the staff working on 11/09/2023 at around 2pm! Archie went from nervous to happy AFTER they took him to the back. Look at this happy boy at the "evil vet".
