Experiencia negativa: Worst experience in a vet and I had many bad experiences here in the US sadly. So I went here and got treated so disrespectfully because I took my puppy just because he is a full breed. There were 2 more dogs in line who where full breeds also (husky and golden retriever) but they treated mine like it was nothing threw him in a dirty table and gave to eat treats of it. He is a puppy!!!! He can’t have any type of contact with any dog and they let him lick the dirtiess table ever! After the vet said a nasty comment about breeders, like all breeders are bad and irresponsible. I bought my puppy responsibly and will not give it up for the world so sorry you can have that! ‍♀️

Experiencia negativa: Bad customer service, we went in for a nail trim for my dog when we got there she was nervous but she wasnt acting up, they checked us in my mom had letvthem known my dog isnt gonna let herself get her nails clipped and she needed to sedate her, they said they were gonna try and do it without it, they did vaccines but when it came to her nails they struggled as if they didnt hear my mom say she wasnt gonna let herself if that was the case why spend money on something i could do, my dog obviously started getting stressed out with the way they were handling her and only cut 3 nails but still wanted to charge for nail trim, overall wouldn’t recommend at all

Experiencia negativa: It was very hot and we waited in the sun in line. There were no chairs, we just sat on the dirt. My dog was unable to receive shots due to anxiety which made me upset, they told me to wait again for “check out”. They attempted to give him shots on the ground, like on the DIRT outside ground, there’s no building! They were grabbing his harness without interacting with him first, of course he was sketched out. We waited 20 minutes to check out while the tech was busy chatting. I heard the tech speak negatively about my dog. I should’ve just left but we needed the medication. There are so many dog owners who don’t even bother getting medical care for their dogs, we are the ones who care, who adopted from AAC, think we deserve better treatment. I left crying, exhausted, I will never come back here! Also I don’t blame the techs, these work conditions are awful for everyone including staff animals and parents. This experience was traumatic. One good thing is the good price compared to an actual vet clinic. Personally this is not worth it to me.

Experiencia negativa: I've had my appointment for a month, there is nothing in the emails stating that the I & K buildings are not open. Also I was informed that my girl dog was to big for there cages and that I would have to drive to another location, which was never talked about if she was to large. I waisted my time bringing her here, now I have to drive her back to Bastrop and loose a day of work. Thanks for waisted time and my money,I will never come here again, very unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I really expect more. This is so disappointing and heart breaking. I've called Emancipet because we found a pup. She was scan and has a microchip. I called company, the tell me to call Emancipet because it was issued by them. I followed the prompts. A person answered the phone to the info and said they have to pass to there supervisor. And said she would call me back. And no one ever called me back. I call again a different person takes same information and says a supervisor will call me back. And no one calls back. This poor fur baby is missing her family. And the one place you think would have compassion doesn't. I just looked over passed reviews and there are several with this same complaint. Apparently you guys don't think it's important enough to fix.

Experiencia fantástica: Emancipet takes care of lots of your pets' needs without breaking the bank. Every single person there cares about your furry friend and you. I've gotten my cats spayed and neutered through them, as well as their shots and flea meds. Hopefully there will be funds available at some point to build a larger, permanent facility here in the future, as they've long outgrown the portables they've had.

I really appreciated the detailed care instructions as well as the medical records being sent over very quickly. I highly recommend emancipet if you have new pets needing affordable sterilization and core vaccines!!

Experiencia negativa: I don't know if I'll ever come back here. Saturday 12.13.25 I took a stray dog to Emancipet during the free mobile clinic day. Mobile clinic sent us to Main Building off Levander Loop. At the main building staff checked for a chip, she had no microchip they took her info , pictures and asked us to schedule an appointment to come back for her free vaccines on a Tuesday 12.16.25. I scheduled off work & used pto. These ppl called & cancelled the appointment last minute because they said we want to keep the dog so they cancelled the appointment and we should take her somewhere else. We are fostering this dog. Who decided that I'm keeping this dog?? We never said that we are keeping her. It's such a waste of my time to schedule an appt during my work hours, let me schedule off....Wait until the appointment is same day to call and cancel.....I cant say what i really want here but you know what Emancipet you really did not help us. You made this harder for us & you screwed us. They never even updated us if her owner called or not after they posted her pic, just cancelled the appt - where we were supposed to find that info out. I will not recommend anyone to this company ever.

Experiencia negativa: I found a dog and have been calling emancipet to get help since the pet has a tag from them. They keep hanging up on me, even when claiming to be searching for help. Not sure why they’d allow owners to put a tag with their info in case of a situation and they don’t actually support you at all. I feel so bad for whoever owns this dog bc I have no way to contact them. Emancipet, I am honestly so disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: I took my cat to get neutered and while he was there he contracted an eye infection and a respiratory infection and it passed to my other cat, and now they are both in severe respiratory distress. Im concerned about their sanitary practices. this should have never happened.

Experiencia positiva: Updating from my prior review Everything went smoothly last visit. Truly the only downside of emancipet is the long hold times and the line for dropoff. But they are providing such a great service it it’s important to just be patient and prepared for it. Wonderful giving people making our lives and the lives of our pets easier. Last review: So hard to get someone on the phone. Made an appointment several weeks ago for neuter and was supposed to get an email. No email so I’ve been calling to make sure to confirm and three different days hold times exceeded an hour each time and then I gave up. I hope the appointment is booked and will go smoothly on the date in my calendar!

They are very nice and my dog did great.he is pretty large and they helped- truthfully the walked him to the car for me and picked him up and put him in my car (he was not used to cars and did not want to get in) for me. Plus, the cost is sooooo reasonable. The shelter we got him from did not do shots, so to get him his shots, rabies, microchipped and neutered was over $500 LESS than my vet was going to charge. I think I paid about $250. I love emanipet.

Experiencia positiva: I’m a first time pet mom so after going to the vet and having to come off 1,000 for exam and for them to do test and X-rayon my now 10 week old yorkie this place was my best option to save money.. it was a fast process to get my baby second round of shots.. the only thing I didn’t like is the vet lady didn’t do a real exam so I don’t know why I was charged 20 dollars for her to walk in and do the shots and that was it.. I was hoping she did a look over on my dog to make sure he was okay.. anyway I will be going back because this is the way to go to save money on his shots.. if you are in need of getting shots for the low this is your place.. they also offer other services that are reasonable in price than the Vet..

Experiencia positiva: I think it’s great what Emancipet does and I’m very grateful for them. That being said, the place WAS a little dirty. When injecting my dog with things and all that, just feels less comforting seeing dirty stuff all around. I know vets have to have more upkeep than most places but still. Regardless I still give 4-stars because of Emancipet in general. I did have quite a bit of a better experience at the Pflugerville location. I also said the one thing was to not give a shot in my dog’s bad leg and she immediately went for it until i went hey “hey hey no no the other leg.” But they do have good prices. That’s why they get so busy too. Sometimes waits are 2+ hours. You can leave and come back but have to be back within a 20-min or so timeframe from when they send the text.

Even though the lines can be long at times for drop off, it's well worth it and the staff has always been accommodating and in good spirits to interact with.

The staff is competent and the vets are amazing - they did an amazing job with his annuals. We’re definitely doing our annuals here for both of the dogs in the future.

Experiencia negativa: We waited 2 hours to get microchipped just to be told the vet was not in and come at four. Plus it’s a small clinic so you’ll be waiting in the hot sun. Call ahead don’t trust walkin we came promptly at 10 waited 2 hours. I get it they’re doing good work but yeah they need a bigger office . We were just exhausted bc of the heat.

Experiencia negativa: Really bizarre receptionist behaviors. Arrived with a dog and asked if I should check in, she shouts to get in line outside. So I stood outside for 40 minutes and when I walk up to her, she tells me that all others before me were already checked in and that she cannot check me in bc they won’t have time to see me. Then why tell me that get back in line when I specifically asked if I should check in? She clings to people with unnecessary chit chat as they are clearly annoyed trying to get back in the their cars. It is not like she performed a brain surgery but she keeps nagging demanding for questions. They really need somebody with some idea of logistics and common sense. Outside area where I waited is a wooden deck and had dog pool scattered all over it. And yet there she is moaning and complaining to everybody who steps in that she is alone and taking care of everybody. Another location is definitely run far far better.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately this is a bad review, I recently took my kitten to get spayed showed up on time 8am, Went to pick her up at 5pm just to be told nothing was done and that they “called and left a voicemail” which they didn’t because I would’ve got it since I’m on the contact information and the fact that the employee lied straight to my face is outrageous. I even called earlier that day and was assured my cat was fine, why couldn’t they tell me they weren’t going to spay her, then I would’ve picked her up asap instead of letting her sit in a cold metal crate for 9hrs. Just crappy customer service. I know it’s low cost and affordable but still to make my cat suffer for 9hours in a cage to get nothing done at all is unacceptable! Didn’t offer anything for the gas wasted and time wasted. Just unprofessional, spend a little bit more money and go to a better vet trust!

The person working there was extremely rude—telling us to wait outside with no explanation, then rushing through information at the counter so fast that the only thing we clearly understood was “2 hours” (which turned out to be even longer). It wasn’t just us; this person was rude to everyone. The only reason I would consider returning is because the veterinarian and the technicians were kind, patient, and took the time to address our concerns. That front desk staff member seriously needs to be addressed by management. He has tattos and has different color of nails. He is super rude.

Experiencia fantástica: Thank you so much guys! My cat needed emergency surgery. My vet send me to the Austin location. They were able to get me in the next day with a location closer to me. Staff worked very quick with me. Super sweet and very friendly. You guys are awesome! A surgery that was estimated from my vet at 2.7 K. I paid 150$ and I can’t thank you guys enough! My other 3 girls we got spayed at the Killeen location and it was amazing too!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog recently broke her teeth chewing on a raw marrow bone which was my mistake, but now needs her teeth extracted. I called a few vets and they all said it would cost me $1,100-$1,800. So I asked some friends and family members and they said Emancipet would be a good option if I wanted to do the procedure at a lower cost. They only do walk-ins and are a high demand vet clinic so it will definitely be a wait until you are able to be seen but if you don’t mind they are definitely worth it. Evaluations are only $20 compared to the normal vet I go to it’s $80 to see a doctor and $35 for just a tech visit. I was able to be seen and schedule my pups surgery within a hour. Waited 30 minutes to be seen, got my pet examined and doctor was happy to answer any questions (15 minutes), the spay/neuter and dentals are a separate location near downtown which I called and was able to get my dog in just 2 days after her evaluation. Best part is the dental work is way more affordable being max $500. This includes extractions and a dental cleaning which is $275 base rate. I will provide update after my pups procedure.

Once inside, we were properly taken care of. After I dropped off my dog for surgery, I received a call from the clinic. There was literally no way to return the call and reach anyone at the site. They clearly need a better system. Thank God it all worked out because someone called me back again. I do appreciate how affordable this was, and the staff seems caring.

I’m not the greatest at keeping him up to date on shots on time, but I never feel judged and always make sure any questions I have they will answer fully. I was in and out in an hour! Then you wait your turn on the waitlist and all of that is texted to you with a link. Very simple and the staff is super caring. Good place for your animals.

Experiencia fantástica: Our first time coming! This facility is simple and clean. We arrived at 9:30 am and finished by 12:30 pm. The staff were super kind and attentive. The doctor took time to thoroughly answer all my questions. They were honest, straightforward, and didn't push unnecessary services, which was a relief. Pricing is clear and affordable, they charge the same for 1 or 3-year vaccines and just give what's best for your pet. You can order meds supply up to a year after your visit, either online or in person. They provides low-cost vaccines, making it easier to take care of our fur babies without breaking the bank, so we really appreciate that. The biggest challenge probably is the wait time, so you guys be ready to spend a few hours there. Bring snacks and drinks to make the wait more comfortable. I highly recommend this place, be patient & enjoy the warm service. Also consider getting a dental evaluation for future cleanings. Don't forget to donate and help them out!

Experiencia negativa: I drove 30 minutes to buy flea & tick medicine. Nope. You must have your dog with you and pay $20.00 office pet fee? I called yesterday and nothing is said about bring your dog. I pushed for them to sell me at least one months worth but no, they won’t… smh…. Mean time my dogs skin is irritated.

Experiencia negativa: This is for the mobile clinics. We arrived at 8am, when they opened, simply for vaccines. After a 3.5 hour wait to CHECK IN, we were told at the check in booth that they are now at capacity and might text us in 200 minutes if they open up. Such a joke. They could have told people that while waiting in line. We had to leave without seeing a vet, getting our dogs the required vaccines, and no medication. Our dogs are now at risk while we find a new vet and a date/time that works. The mobile clinics used to be better than this. They have only gotten worse over the last 5 years despite their “efforts” to improve.

Experiencia negativa: The work Emancipet does is important and much appreciated, however I would caution anyone considering spay/neuter procedures through them. My beautiful Doberman has a botched neuter (confirmed by two other vets), and his recovery is long, painful, and expensive. I did appreciate their attempt to make things right in the beginning when complications first appeared, however I would only consider Emancipet as an absolute last resort at this point.

Experiencia fantástica: I feel like people at times are very suspicious of spaying or neutering with Emancipet, maybe because they are lost cost or can do mobile surgeries, but that’s what they specialize in! They are pros at this! And I’ve had 3 dogs and will take 4 kittens in the near future and they have never failed me. If I have an emergency question they get back to me very quickly. I always recommend Emancipet to my family and friends because of how affordable they are and the great service they provide. Also, you know they care about your fur babies! I know this because my late elderly doggie was very little and fragile. I got her when she was about 3 years old. By the time I made more research on why spaying is best, she was about 9 years old. (I didn’t know spaying was a thing!) They would not perform surgery without a doctor’s note proving all her bloodwork was on point. I appreciated that very much!

Experiencia positiva: The day I went at the Levander loop location, the line was long and it was hot outside. When I finally got to the counter there was wait-list 4 hrs long @ there was custom service issues, not with me but person next to me . I had a better experience @ Norwood location.

Experiencia fantástica: Get there early!! I was there 30 min before they opened and I was the 4th person there. By the time they were open it quickly became a 2 hour wait. The hospital suggested Emancipet. They got her in quickly and she was home with us same day and has recovered wonderfully so far! They saved our Ducky and were so affordable! Would definitely use again!

Experiencia negativa: I waited for an hour in a line outside (sure, that's understandable), only to find out there's an additional waitlist as the lady said "it will take at least 2 hours, but likely more". Having a different appointment later in the day, I decided to leave. 30 minutes later, I receive a text it's my turn... It would be nice if you had a better idea of your estimated wait time, because it's quite a big disparity between "over 2 hours" and 30 minutes. If they said it going to be my turn within an hour, I'd wait and that would be a reasonable estimate. So I wasted 2 hours of my time and achieved nothing. Pretty frustrating start to the weekend

Experiencia negativa: If i could give this place a 0 star a would, I booked an appointment drive 45 minutes just to get told that there wasn’t enough staff I called to book another appointment 2 weeks later, everything was good i dropped him off about 4 hours later i get a call saying they can’t do the surgery, and telling me to book with them again. Driving 45/1hr to come to this place and having to get rescheduled 2 times is very frustrating. i even called to make sure everything was good so i wouldn’t have to dive so far.

After patiently waiting for 45 minutes more, I approached the check-in table to inquire about the delay, only to be met with offense from the lady manning it. Her dismissive response, stating her sole responsibility was check-in, was disheartening. I sought an estimate of the wait time due to a noon appointment for my pet microchip service, but received vague answers that failed to address my concerns. Faced with nearly two hours of waiting and no clear resolution in sight, I reluctantly decided to leave. It was frustrating to receive a call 15 minutes later, indicating it was finally my turn, when it was already too late. In summary, my experience was disappointing. While one would expect efficiency from a clinic that operates regularly, the lack of transparency regarding wait times was a major flaw. Not everyone can afford to dedicate two hours to wait indefinitely, especially for essential services like pet microchipping. A simple sign indicating approximate wait times would have been greatly appreciated. As I left, I noticed many others enduring the same prolonged wait, highlighting the need for improvement in managing patient expectations.
