Experiencia negativa: Terrible Vet now. We’ve gone to this vet for many years. Things have been mediocre but as of now. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. Even though my pup was there a day ago they still wanted to charge over $70 just to do a shot she needed. It’s all about money at this vet. Not about the pups it’s about the money. Absolutely ridiculous. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I boarded my two dogs at Ocotillo Animal Clinic & Pet Resort twice in February (2/12 and 2/20), and unfortunately both experiences were among the worst I have had in over 40 years of owning dogs. The first visit already raised concerns because the staff were rude and dismissive. The second visit was even worse. When I arrived to pick up my dogs, I got there at 4:10 PM, thinking pickup was around 4:00 PM. Even though the clinic itself stays open until 5:00 PM, they attempted to charge me a late pickup fee for being ten minutes past the scheduled time. What made the situation more frustrating was that when I arrived, I had to wait 22 minutes while the employee at the desk stayed on the phone with someone else. After I questioned why I should be charged a late fee when I was standing there waiting to be helped, they finally agreed to waive it. My bill that day was $1,338, which I paid without argument. In total, I spent around $2,000 in less than two and a half weeks at this establishment. Despite that, the treatment I received as a customer was extremely disappointing. Another concern is the billing. I strongly felt that the invoice included charges that were questionable. When I asked for clarification, the staff became defensive and rude instead of explaining the charges professionally. Both times I raised concerns, I later found that I was correct. It is also important to note that this clinic appears to be corporate-owned rather than individually operated, and the employees behave as if there is little accountability. The manager in particular had a very poor attitude, which may explain why the staff interactions are handled the way they are. I have owned dogs for over four decades, and I have never experienced this level of insensitivity, disorganization, and lack of professionalism at a veterinary or boarding facility. If you truly care about your pet and expect transparency and respectful treatment as a client, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for boarding and veterinary services.

Experiencia negativa: Had been going here for all my puppies shots and care and enjoyed it until today. During the last vaccine appointment I was notified his next set of vaccines would include his rabies shot and his final set of puppy vaccines. They let me know the dates available and I made my decision. Fast forward to today, I took time off work to make the appointment and on the day of they call me to inform me that we need to reschedule my dogs appointment because he would not be at the required 16 week age to receive his last shots. This fact was never communicated on their end when scheduling and I was given a date range to choose from so it’s not like it was my decision to do it before then. Had they communicated this and given me a proper date range after the 16 week mark I would’ve gladly chosen a date in that timeframe and made plans accordingly. I understand the reasoning behind this age requirement, but I took time from work to make this appointment so the fact that this was not communicated until the day of and was not on their radar when scheduling the appointment in the first place is very frustrating. I asked if they could help me out in anyway and perhaps offer a discount on the rescheduled visit and they flat out denied, and for something that was their mistake to begin with. Very unorganized and unprofessional behavior. I have now changed clinics.

I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and they continue to offer amazing care. Dr. Beck is extremely accommodating for my aging pet that requires a little extra attention when going in for an appointment. I’m so grateful for how caring and patient Dr. Beck is with me and my dog.

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely love this place. We’ve taken our rescue here for over a year now anytime we’ve had anything come up, or even questions. They take their time and answer all of them. My husky is always really calm here and she is kinda a nervous dog. They are always extra soft and always care and you can tell. They even brought her some water when there was going to be a little bit of a wait. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Great vet visit. We went into a room on time and technician worked with my cat delicately. Always a pleasure to see Dr. Beck who gave my cat a complete exam. We have been with Ocotillo animal clinic over 25 years and they have respected all of my animals past and present. The Veterinarians and Technicians look out for our furr babies. It was good to see Lori as she knows all my animals. My cat wasn't stressed and was all purrs when we got home.

I don’t think there is another vet we’ve ever had that we trust more. She has seen us through the good times (puppies) to the bad (animals at the end-of-life). She always gives us the attention our animals require. We trust her diagnostic skills but her compassion and caring keep bringing us back. The front office is usually very accommodating & efficient. We highly recommend Ocotillo Animal Clinic - especially Dr. Beck.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my 7 year old Golden Retriever in for the new senior wellness exam. The objective is early screening for things like cancer. The cost was only $135.00 for about $600.00 worth of testing, results were provided a few days later. I would definitely recommend this newly offered service to support early detection of any health changes in your pet. Thank you Ocotillo Animal Hospital for offering this cost-saving service!!! I went in on the wrong day, a day before, and they were able to get me in right away. My dog has bad allergies and 24hr later, he was much better and not scratching at all! They are well prepared to handle our murderous chiweenie whenever we bring him in, and are great handling the rest for their check ups and grooming. The staff is always friendly, the facilities are clean and our dog always gets excited for her staycation. It is always reassuring that there is also a veterinary clinic on site and we never worry because we know she is in good hands while we are away.

Experiencia negativa: I waited an hour to even see a Vet. The vet came in and ran through a bunch of tests and stuff that needed to be done without even asking me what options I would like to consider. The tech came back and didn't give options, she just asked me to sign a $1,000 bill before they would do anything. I told her to not do half of it because they hadn't even diagnosed the problem yet. Turns out my dog just needed to poop. I won't go back.

Experiencia negativa: I booked an appointment for my sick dog and unfortunately due to horrible traffic driving from Tempe to Chandler and tons of construction I was 10 mins late and they had no compassion whatsoever and turned us away. They do not prioritize pets health ahead of their policies. They could have cut my appt by 10 mins to at least look at my dog. I called another clinic and they took time over the phone to ask abouy symptoms and recommended alternatives to her diet to consider and other 24 hr walk in vets because i was turned away by Ocotillo Animal Clinic. Shame on them!

Experiencia positiva: Good staff, great vets, but a bit pricey. I wasn't happy with the forced flea treatment put upon my dogs for boarding. It wasn't discussed beforehand. They've never had fleas, and I don't like the potentially deadly side effects of the treatment. Besides that, the boarding experience was fine.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing. My first visit multiple people came out to meet me and my dogs. Dr. MOLINA and JULIE the tech were amazing. I am switching vets and found the best place ever first visit! Had a second visit for my dog Echo who experiences stress diarrhea when we travel. Dr. Molina explained multiple options some holidtic and the option i chose has worked amazing. The tech Julie checked on us and gave Echo some extra hugs while we waited for Dr. Molina to calculate the scripts. I am so happy i chose this doctor and her wonderful tech. We have found a great place to rehome our vet care. Could not have made any better choice. Our new puppy sees the doc in a few weeks. Cant wait.

Experiencia negativa: Despite showing up 5 minutes early, we waited for 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. I finally walked to the front desk to ask how much longer the wait would be, only to be told Dr. Molina was running an hour behind. No one bothered to inform us of this delay beforehand, and when I asked for an explanation the receptionist responded with “I don’t know.” The lack of communication and disregard for our time was appalling.

Experiencia fantástica: Clean facilities, caring staff, kind and knowledgable vet. What more could we ask for to take care of our pup? We love this place and will continue to use them as long as we have pets!

Experiencia negativa: The veterinarians and technicians at this clinic, specifically Dr. Molina, failed to provide informed consent regarding the leptospirosis vaccination. I was not informed of the potential for anaphylactic shock, only that my dog might experience mild vomiting. This is a non-core vaccine, and I should have been made aware of that fact. As a result of their negligence, my dog's life was put in serious jeopardy. Many veterinarians do not recommend the leptospirosis vaccine for this very reason. After my dog began vomiting, I rushed her back to the clinic, only to discover that her condition was far worse than I had been led to believe. Thankfully, her life was saved, but had I not acted immediately, she would have died. While I appreciate the competency that ultimately saved her, the failure to inform me properly has cost you not only my business but also that of my family. We will never return with our three additional dogs. I strongly urge you to ensure that your staff, including Dr. Molina, is thoroughly trained to prevent such dangerous oversights in the future.

I was able to call Ocotillo Animal Clinic and they had the vet check on it, sign off on it and phoned in the Rx to a local WalMart near where I was staying so they could fill the Rx and we would have it while we were traveling. They did this very promptly and without telling me I was an idiot for leaving his Rx at home!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We recently boarded our energetic two year lab and had a wonderful experience. The staff was helpful and provided a picture of our dog and update during her stay. We loved that she was kept away from other dogs as we’ve had bad experiences at other facilities with our dog coming back sick. We are really happy with our experience and have her booked again for her next stay.

I called for a quote and they did the rest including getting my pet's records from the another vet and were very clear on what was needed to board my pet. I was happy to see her in a comfortable cat suite when I picked her up 5 days later and my interactions with the staff through the entire process were nothing but pleasant. I will use their boarding services again!

Experiencia negativa: I won't not recommend this clinic to anyone. The Vet we saw was Jeannette Molina . We took our dog to them on 5/28/2024. she was really sick unable to stand up. They charged us over $500 for blood work and gave her some fluids. We never received the blood results till we called on 6/3/2024 as they were closed on weekends. my dog meanwhile remained in the same condition suffering. They insisted they sent us the results via email but refused to prove it. The receptionist was rude and impatient on the phone stated the doctor will call next day explaining the blood results. We never received that call. we Really didn't get any service for the $500. The blood work report cam days late after having to make multiple phone calls to request it.

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t say enough good things about the folks at Ocotillo Animal Clinic. We were getting ready to drive back east for the summer when our senior cat had tooth issues. They got us in right away, were incredibly warm and friendly, and took great care of kitty during surgery and recovery. Definitely my new go to vet!

Experiencia negativa: Been going here for years. They were always pricey, but after this last visit I'm done. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat that I've been bringing to them. Their automated system would text me constantly that I need to schedule appointments for them even when they didn't need them - the staff couldn't be bothered to do any digging to find out if an appt was actually needed so they'd gladly sign us up and walk away with hundreds of dollars just for saying "your pets are fine" Like other people say, they are always pushing for bloodwork tests and charge an arm and a leg for them. Just recently my 13 yr old dog went blind and the diagnosis should have been pretty straightforward- instead they do a $500 bloodwork test and send us to an eye specialist which was another $300 just for them to say exactly what we already thought. Still unhappy that I have money they wanted me to bring in my old boy again so they can do another procedure with lab work (which SHOULD have been done on the first visit) for another $420. At this point I give up because he's 13 and if I did get the test it'll again tell me exactly what we already knew and give them the justification to try and charge us for chemo for my dog - lol gtfo. This place is some highway robbery for pet owners run by boomers. Go somewhere else and save thousands of dollars. These "professionals" can't diagnose anything unless you give them a grand first, and charge exorbitant amounts for any "work" they actually have to do

Experiencia fantástica: Many things to recommend, but latest GENIUS move: whipped cheese on a stick: dog doesn't pay attention to shots, probes, temperature, just focuses on the cheese. Excellent distraction, one I've never seen before, and I may start carrying cheese whiz and tongue depressors with me, 'cause if it works for the dog..... While the Vet service is excellent, can't say the same for grooming; they seem to lack the concept of "fix your own error".

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog, Chloe, to Ocotillo Animal Clinic when she suddenly was unable to walk and tumbling all over the place. My appointment was at 9:30; but I panicked and took her early with hopes, but no expectations, to be seen before my scheduled appointment time. The staff was SO KIND and took us right in. Although all of the vets at Ocotillo Animal Clinic are great, I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Robson, who had helped us once before. All I can say is, she’s AMAZING! She knew exactly what was wrong with Chloe and offered a conservative and cost effective approach to her treatment. It’s been 2 days and Chloe has improved so much. I’m not worried as I know what to expect and what my options are. I am so grateful to this place!!! I always recommend them to my friends and family. I know they will always consider the best interest of my pets and my family. I am forever grateful!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to this vet for years and I can’t express how grateful I am for them. They are always so eager to aid, answer any questions and ensure the wellness they promise, is met! A couple days ago I took in a pregnant sick cat and they spent HOURS aiding me, talking with me, showing me medical techniques, answering all of my questions, printing me reading material etc to ensure I am well prepared for the cats delivery. I can’t believe the customer care offered today, I mean, they have always been great attendees but today they went above and beyond for me as their client and I am so very thankful for the staff here. You won’t go wrong choosing this place for your little hearts care! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Experiencia positiva: They told me over the phone how much it would cost to put my kid’s hamster to sleep. Showed up and it was more than twice as much. I would have appreciated greater transparency/accuracy, and I had to find tactful way to voice my concern about the pricing in front of my son, who is about to lose his best friend. After that, though, they handled the procedure with dignity and grace.

Experiencia negativa: As always, I enjoy the receptionists and assistants enthusiasm. In this particular visit, however, I had to wait for a "large" room, and in the end, we had to have our exam in a "small" dog room anyway. Besides that, the vet was lackluster, and had not much to say except, "how's the weight management going?" She also decided to peddle a 6 essential oil supplement after I explained to her that I had started my boy on a salmon oil. So, in conclusion, after over 20 yrs of loyalty, I'm leaning toward going somewhere else.

We recently went on a trip that was a little longer than usual and were happy you had larger “suites” with windows, levels, and walk around time for our little buddy. Dr Piper always takes the time to explain any questions we have . Dr Piper took such good care of our Simon when he had his teeth cleaned and saved all of his teeth. They also suggest options and are clear on pricing & priority of suggestions because sometimes it’s expensive to take care of our pets.. thank you to your amazing staff .. we depend on your care of our fur family.. i am so glad we found your practice! I now have two senior dogs, and Dr. Piper is helping me to give them the best possible remaining years of their life. Rosemarie has always been exceptionally helpful! Experiencia fantástica: Friendly with animals and helpful owners. We drive from 40 miles away to use them. This time we needed to get a blood draw to send to Kansas State University for a rabies titer to be able to send a dog to Hawaii without quarantine. They were able to work us in within a few days for the blood draw which was important since the certificate from KSU rabies lab takes at least 30 days to process.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Beck is the most compassionate and understanding veterinarian. She has been amazing taking care of our three mini Aussies for years. Benjamin, one of our mini Aussies is currently battling lymphoma. She has been so wonderful I can’t recommend her enough.

Experiencia fantástica: So I would really give it 4 1/2 stars, just due to how hard it is to get in if there's an emergency. We stopped going there a few years ago due to that. However, we love the place! They're amazing with our pets. We recently started going back to them after we lost one of our fur babies, and we ended up getting 2 new pups. We never could find a place that we felt comfortable with and constantly comparing the new places to Ocotillo. So we are back with them and couldn't be happier.

Experiencia negativa: We have been taking our dog here for years and have loved the way they treated him and us but this time was different, the vet we saw ( Sheri Beck) treated her assistant with such disrespect it was unbelievable. The dirty looks and the tone of her voice made me uncomfortable. Then she ( vet ) turned her disrespect on me and my dog. My dog is very vocal and moaned during his exam and she muzzled him! This is a dog that has never shown any aggression towards anyone ever but he took the muzzle and stayed calm. Then the vet came with a bill of over $800 for tests after I told her I didn’t have the money and wanted to see if the antibiotics would first help him with his infection. I told her and the assistant I cannot do this, the vet came back in the room very aggressive starting me down stating this is unacceptable and she had to run the tests! I told her again no I want to see if the antibiotics help him and I would bring him back after the new year if he wasn’t better, she ( Dr ) starred at me then stated to me “ well I’m not refilling his RX if you don’t bring him back” and walked out of the exam room. This whole experience has made me think twice of taking my dog back there. Is it about only making money a week before Christmas? What about making your clients feel comfortable with bringing their fur babies for help? Walking out of this vet office made me feel so uncomfortable and upset. To see how not only how I was being treated but to see how the Dr treated the people working there and were being treated was so upsetting. On a positive note the front desk and assistant was amazing and I truly feel sorry for them to have to work there.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Beck is wonderful with my dogs and a good listener of me. She’s Loving, patient, and knowledgable. Her assistant Lori is great too, great listener and caring - nice team! Easy location, nice hospital environment. Prices are within normal range.

Experiencia fantástica: This was Orion’s second grooming appointment and once again we are so pleased with how well he was treated and the beautiful grooming that he had done. I love this clinic . It is clean, staff are friendly and still maintain professionalism. He receives awesome attention and we will continue to use Ocotillo Animal Clinic for his regular visits and his grooming appointments. Thank You for taking care of my fur friend to the standards that I expect.

Experiencia fantástica: My cat Sita has been given excellent care from the vet doctors and techs, and the boarding staff and their services have been exceptional. They love spending time with her and have helped her feel very comfortable whenever I'm out of town. I highly recommend this clinic for medical/dental services and for boarding your cat when needed.

Experiencia fantástica: Front staff are so friendly and accommodating. Nina, the groomer there, is so wonderful and patient with my difficult dog and he comes home looking gorgeous and happy, unlike past groomers where he was traumatized. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: My boy was taken care of quickly by Dr. Beck and assistants were gentle with him when he was not feeling well. A medical plan was created but with flexibility as so what tests we ordered so as to be careful yet not overly so and incur higher costs. Differential diagnosis was clear and appropriate care plan was established so as to cover the most bases while awaiting test results. A follow up call was made to me the next day to see how he was feeling. Overall very happy with his care there.

Experiencia negativa: I've been to this vet twice for my dogs' yearly exams and both times were pleasant. This is why they get 2 stars and not 1. Their most recent annual exam was July 2023. My dog daycare requires yearly distemper vaccinations even though the vet does them every 3 years. I did not ask for this at their most recent annual exam so I scheduled a vaccination appt for them. At the appt once we were roomed, the receptionist tells me the vet will be in to do their exam soon. I told the her they just had an exam 2 months ago, it is up to date and was normal, we have no concerns and only need vaccines. She told me they still needed an exam but didn't say why. When the vet tech came in, I asked her why they need another exam, and she says she has no idea. Then she takes my dogs in the back (which is a huge red flag- just do the exam in the room with me). So the vet comes in (my dogs are still in the back) and he starts talking to me about general health recommendations; I stop him and say "yes I know we went over all of this 2 months ago and their exam is up to date so why do they need another" and his response is he doesn't know, he just does what's on his schedule; but now knowing they were up to date he states they did not need another exam. He was very nice and said he would talk to the manager for me. The vet tech finally returns with my dogs and says they will only charge me for one exam. I suppose this is better than nothing but the manager didn't even have the courtesy to talk to me and I still got charged for an unnecessary exam. If an exam was necessary, that should have been communicated to me when I scheduled the visit. The receptionist and vet tech should also be able to explain why it's necessary. Regardless, it wasn't and this was likely a shady way to make more money. I doubt this is a liability thing as they had JUST had a normal annual exam. Also, they could easily just have me sign a consent form which they did not. The two vets I've have the pleasure of seeing were wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's a shame they work for this manager/practice.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Beck and her vet tech took wonderful care of my 2 senior dogs and of me. I had to put my dog down d/t tumors and I couldn’t fail my other who showed signs of dental pain. I’m in such agony over the loss of my sweet baby and feel so grateful to them for the way they handled things there. I highly recommend.

I had brought in both of my dogs hoping they could maybe get their anal glands expressed last minute and they were able to do it. Was super thankful as I’m pregnant for the first time and it’s been difficult to take care of anything other than drs appointments due to nausea and fatigue. Love Ocotillo animal clinic they always take care of my fur babies.

Experiencia fantástica: We used them to board our older pups for 4 days. Used them also a couple times before the pandemic and were very happy with the experience. We don’t need a boarding place with a lot of activity as we don’t want our older pets getting too stressed out, so this is perfect. Picked them up and the also were clean and didn’t smell, like they have with other boarding places.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been with Dr Beck in Ocotillo Animal clinic for almost 10 years. I have always found the front staff polite, with a good sense of humor, and helpful. The facility is clean, well maintained and spacious. Dr Beck is very knowledgeable and caring. She spent time getting to know my 2 furry dogs and doesn't rush through vet appointments or annual exams. I can always talk to her about any issues or concerns regarding my furry babies.The best part is that I always get a timely call from Dr Beck with the blood work or any other results. We had to put one of our pets down after a long fight with distemper and Dr Beck was very compassionate and empathetic. I always feel that my pets are in very good hands and that feeling can go a long way when you are new pet parents or are just worried when your pets are sick. Thank you Dr Beck for all you do.
