Experiencia fantástica: I went to get my cat microchipped and vaccinated for rabies. The vet tech did a stellar job making sure the microchip and paperwork met the strict guidelines required to import pets to Japan. The appointment started about 20 minutes later than scheduled I was more than willing to overlook that since the service was excellent and the price of the visit was half of what Banfield wanted to charge ($75 vs $145). Just be prepared to pay $20 to reserve your appointment (the cost will go towards your final bill so you're not paying anything extra).

Experiencia negativa: Horrible place. The photos of a clean office are not true. It was dirty, and smelled. They cared nothing about my pet. Then to make things worse, my cat peed in his cage while waiting surgery and they put him back in there after. So with now just having surgery I had to clean him as we all know cat urine is the worst. If this place was for humans it would be investigated and shut down. Nothing but an assembly line. Do not trust them with your pet. I know they are cheaper but not worth it.

Experiencia positiva: I recently got a new puppy and they don't have any vets at this location so they are cancelling all veterinarian appointments until they do. So I will continue looking for another affordable veterinarian that can get him started on his shots.

I couldn't believe they even took the time to clip her nails as a courtesy. I was so impressed how they managed so many pets that day.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved coming here, the office kitties are adorable and the people working the front desk were wonderful and really nice. Check in went quick and easy, pick up was a little delayed but I really didn't mind, they had a lot of patients so it was understandable. The kitties kept us all company which was nice and the ladies were quick to inform everyone what was happening and get everyone out quickly. I'll be coming back in the future if my cats end up needing anything. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I took my kitten here to get spayed back in April they were awesome and I wish they were the first vet I had chosen super friendly and helpful and they give back to the community by helping with the low cost spay and neuter on spays. I just recently found a 3 week old kitten running across 8 lanes of traffic and will be taking her here for all of her visits as well wish I could give more stars this place is great (and their office kitty's are super cute)

Experiencia negativa: I believe they are a fault for my cat dieing. I was the last person seen on a busy Saturday as a walk-in. I waited 2hrs 45min. That was fine. When called I was rushed through and felt they didn't do a good exam on my son's cat, Pepper (we were in there less than 5 minutes.) He had a skin irritation from allergies. He gets it every year. I told the tech and the vet several time he had been seen at a vet's office a month ago for this where they gave him steroid and antibiotic shots. ACT gave him another steroid shot. Monday morning Pepper had labored breathing so I took him to an emergency vet. When given 2 steroids close together small animals can have congestive heart failure. We had to watch Pepper suffer and be put to sleep. I watched my son have his heart broken when his childhood pet died. It Was Awful. ACT was responsible for his death. They should have listened to me and not rushed because they wanted to leave for the day.
Experiencia negativa: Look at the yelp and google reviews! I’ve never been here so I called to find out more info and ended up leaving multiple voicemails that weren’t returned. I go in for a neuter and the intake vet tech was new so my questions about pre and post op surgery weren’t answered still. During pick up , it was completely disorganized. The front desk staff were yelling peoples pets issues out and vet bill price which I felt like could’ve been more private. I over heard the staff (due to them over sharing peoples business) apologize to a lady for incorrectly operating on her cat. The cat was suspected to be a female and they opened the cat up and turns out it was a male cat!!! I feel like vets should be able to identify genders. You definitely get what you paid for. Cheap prices for sketchy service.
Experiencia negativa: I was honestly not impressed. I will say it is very inexpensive compared to a normal vet clinic. Just keep in mind that you will most likely have to camp out. The wait time is insane. We called to schedule an appointment but were told just to walk-in. Almost 2 hours later, we were taken back for a visit that lasted max 5 minutes. You definitely get what you pay for. If you want attentive care for your fur baby it is worth paying a little more.
Experiencia negativa: Texted them to make an appointment for my kitty who was sick with diarrhea. They replied telling me it's too much for them to handle, they can't do it and I should go somewhere else. Can you imagine?? I guess they only do well visits, where you bring them a healthy pet and pay $. Thank God I found a vet in Northdale that cared, told me to come the same day, gave my kitty some medication for diarrhea and my kitty is happy and healthy again. I won't be going to this place even to get a shot for my pet. Dissapointing.

Now, 6yrs later with my new fur baby and a new location I have revisited and the attention was impeccable. I made an appointment but walk-ins are welcome. These guys and gals love your pet like family!
Experiencia negativa: Horrible. Paid $150 for my cat's bloodwork, was told results would be in the next day. The following week someone otp confirmed that results were in and said I would be emailed the results and interpretation. It's almost been 4 weeks now with no email and I've called probably 20 times, left several voice-mails, and still nothing. Today I finally got someone otp who told me my cat is having kidney issues and they want her medicated, on a special diet, and back for a follow up in 30 days!!! Well its already been nearly 30 days. I am obviously going to have to get my records and go to a more responsible vet. They claimed the vet tried to contact me via a phone number I havent had in TWO YEARS. Ive been to their office atleast 3 or 4 times since then and I know Ive attempted to update my phone # with them multiple times. Additionally, they confirmed that they do have my current email! Apparently the vet didn't think it was important or even professional enough to send an email after calling an old phone number one time. This is completely unacceptable.
Experiencia fantástica: They allow people of modest income to own a dog or cat and provide excellent health care. Most people of modest means can't afford to pay for Vet care at today's prices. Bless these wonderful people for the work they perform. Today, I took my dog for her check up and vaccines. They charge modest prices and give quality care. I also medication for her there. The Vet and all other people working there are caring wonderful professionals. They also have appointments and walk ins are accepted.
Experiencia negativa: I have been trying to set a appointment up for a month! No one must work in this office at all. I still haven't recieved a text back or anything. The mailbox is always FULL (most likely complaints) All I need way a exam and flea meds ! And to whoever answers the text doesn't ever reply or call back
Experiencia negativa: This place has totally gone down hill. I made an appointment weeks in advance for my dog's annual check up. It was at 11:20...(After waiting 45 minutes I asked how much longer for SusieQ to be seen. She said soon; other pets were in front of me. Not one person checked to see that we were already called). ...at 12:50 I asked again how much longer and was told I had one other patient in front of me. I asked why I arrived for an 11:20 appointment and numerous other people arrived after me and were seen and gone. She said she did not know. The vet tech came out and I asked the same question... she said "we called you and you did not answer"...i was in the restroom apparently although I had checked in and there were only 2 other people at that time waiting. No communication at all among these people. These people need to learn how to communicate .... this hour and 40 minute wait was totally unnecessary and shows a lack of communication among all departments. I do not plan to return!

Dr Beck and his assistant was very caring and informative about my newly acquired pet, and his continuing health. I highly recommend this facility to clients seeking excellent health care for their precious pets, at a reasonable cost.

Experiencia negativa: I got here super early to be the very first person on line. After long waiting the manager tell me the surgeries are cancel, but not all the surgeries!!! How convenient!! I brought a cat to get spayed, they didn't take my cat but they did take other cats and dogs. I got the appointment since last week and now all the appointment available are why far out. You can read the reviews of the management, are the WORSE!! the woman who told me she can't take my cat was very RUDE I don't know if its the owner or manager it beware!!. THEY CLEARLY DIDN'T WANT TO WASTE TIME ON MY CAT BECAUSE I CAME WITH A $10 VOUCHER AND THEY WON'T MAKE $$$ OUT OF IT. Very hard to find an honest veteran that cares more about animals than money. I won't como back or recommend it to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: Very clean office, professional staff. Took great care of my babies. The staff was very professional and even though they were short staffed (due to an unexpected personal emergency), they carefully communicated with everyone and effectively took care of everyone as fast as possible. Definitely recommend ACT.
Experiencia negativa: The pricing is very good and from what I’ve seen they do well with older animals, I don’t recommend bringing in your puppies unless all you care for are the shots. Twice I’ve taken my puppy in and both times half my bill was for a basic exam alone, and that’s fine the bill was low. What wasn’t fine to me was the “exam” never seemed to take place when I was in the room and today I don’t think they even tried, they wrote the weight I put instead of putting him on the scale. I put a “?” At the end of the weight to show I didn’t know… instead of telling me my puppy is growing fine his teeth are good fur skin etc, all I was told is to chop my puppy’s bools off before he turns a year. Today clarify a little more they didn’t even let me inside the building today, they took my pup for less than 3 minutes, had me wait outside after getting him back until someone came took my money and disappeared inside for another 20 minutes.

Edit: A year later, arrived before 10, which was my appointment time, waited till 11 to be called, vet seen the dog for about 5 minutes, and then waited another hour for the paperwork to leave. Do not plan anything after the appointment and maybe bring snacks or eat before you go.
Experiencia fantástica: I read a lot of bad reviews lately, but I think people don't have patience or something You can now make appointments online once again, anything you need to communicate must be done thru text, if you call its likely they wont answer. When I got there I was there 15min before my appointment time. There were 2 people waiting ahead of me, and I had to wait in the outdoors waiting area. It was a chill day so it wasn't hot nor cold if you're worried about waiting outdoors. I was given a chart about 10min into my appointment. After about 5min they came to take my two cats. After 5 more minutes one cat was given back to me, and 5 min later, the other was given to me once my payment went thru. It was super fast. I couldn't go in with my cats but it's fine. I didn't notice anything weird about them and they weren't acting unusual either, so I trust they were treated very well. I will be coming back. Thank you for the great service ! :)

We left her leash and her tag there accidentally, and the lady called me and offered me that she can mail me the leash since we live so far away. I kindly declined her suggestion and told her I will get her new ones. She was one of those sweet and genuine person with big heart. VERY KIND LADY! One time they forgot to add the rabies form to my checkout packet, and I received a copy by email, but then they also mailed me a signed copy without me asking! Wonderful place. Experiencia negativa: Made an appointment online. Arrived on time to only stand there being ignored for 15 minutes. Then once they decided to speak with me they told me my appointment wasn’t until a week away even though I showed them the email confirmation. They told me sorry there’s no vet to treat your dog at this time. Completely unprofessional and could careless about my dog that was in pain.

Experiencia fantástica: Animal Coalition of Tampa is great! The vets and every other person working here really seems to care about your animals. I've taken quite a few community cats here for their "spa day" for TNVR. Every single cat I've picked up from them is nicely eartipped, cleaned off, vaccinated, and neutered or spayed. Every cat is living their lives without making babies and fighting. They're all happy cats. I've taken my pets here as well and they all have came back to me happy, healthy, and clean.

Experiencia positiva: Great prices on services, great staff. Prices on flea meds (trifexus) bit higher than online, but get immediately. Can not get them to respond to requests to approve prescriptions from 3d parties (chewy) or return my calls.
Experiencia negativa: I was disappointed. They seemed to get irritated when I asked if they offer discounts. They never called me back. I left many messages on their phone. For 4 days I asked for a manager and that never happened. My first question I asked them was if they extract molars on a chihuahua and what is the price range. And if they do, my second question was do they offer discounts for financial hardship. They NEVER answered my first question. Their reply focused on not offering discounts. They even told me that if I wanted discount prices, to go somewhere else. They are terrible people. In my opinion, they definitely shouldn't be around animals. If you call them or go there, beware because I warned you. I asked for a name of the person texting me and I told them I wanted to use their name in this review, but they refused. Someone needs to investigate these people.

Experiencia fantástica: This place has always been amazing to us, we have had all of our cats and recently our dog spayed/neutered here. They have always been the best to us and our furry friends. The drive here from Ruskin can be a little difficult in the new location, but it’s worth it for the care, quality and prices.

Experiencia positiva: They did good on the suturing.my dog healed well. HOWEVER, we had made an appointment for 8 am, then got called the day before to switch it to 11:30. When we got there at 11:20 they were all in a meeting upstairs and ignored my husband standing outside for 20 minutes. Finally someone came down and rudely told him they were in a meeting and to come back at one. We were not the only people waiting, there were about a dozen cars outside waiting to be let in at 11:30. Very annoying. just be ready for scheduling issues.
Experiencia negativa: Update 8/2/21. Monday 9:00 am and the place still closed. No answer on the phones, no other place to call to find out why is closed at business hours. Nothing. This place should just go out of business. What a lack of professionalism and care. Why people leave good reviews about this place? Maybe are workers trying to lie about it, at this point I won't be surprised. I came for my money or microchip to be put on my dog, since they failed 2 years ago to put the chip after paying for it. 07/15/21: BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE, THEY CHARGED ME FOR A MICROCHIP, but I was never done. 2 years later my new vet couldn't find it. Now this place says, bring him back we wont charge you. CAN YOU BELIVE THIS PLACE? They want to do something free of charge for something I paid to them 2 years ago. I trust them, and I found that they were just lying. So make sure they show you with the Microchip reader, that it was implanted, before you leave this place. Don't get a 2 year surprise after, like I did.

Experiencia negativa: I’m incredibly mad right now... you can not get ahold of anyone on the phone, you are forced to text. I asked “how much for yearly adult male dog shots” (see pic) and they said $15. After driving 45 mins to make it to my appointment I learned that it was in fact $150+ All I wanted was tick prevention, his shots are still good for another 1.5 months and he’s been heart worm tested within the last year so I asked about just buying some meds and they told me no, that I’d have to pay for an exam and a new heart work test regardless of my paperwork because the test needed to come from here. I could’ve went to a vet right by my house for these prices. Absolutely absurd.

Experiencia negativa: Lack of communication on their part wasted my time and gas. Gave them all of the preliminary info they needed days before appointment only to get there and be told new information and additional fees that would’ve been useful to know beforehand. On top of that, no apologies or understanding for the miscommunication whatsoever from JJ who was my initial employee of contact or anyone else. Most unprofessional vet experience I’ve had. I’d rather pay more and go to his actual vet. So beware to those on a budget and little time to waste.
Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend taking your pets here. Sure, they have great prices, but nothing else was worth it. We took two cats to get fixed here. I was told all I had to do was drop them off in the morning. Wrong. I had to wait for over an hour out in the sun for them to take them. They gave me a paper saying I could pick them up at 4:30 that day. Wrong again. Once I got there just before 4:30, I was told they would not be ready to be picked up until after 6 that evening. Then they called me not long after I left to tell me to come pick them up. Craziness. But the worst part of all was what happened after I picked them up from the procedure. They both went in feeling perfectly fine, but afterwards the younger kitty came home so sick that within a couple days, her eyes were runny and one had completely swollen shut. So I called them to bring her back in and a supervisor said I could bring her in same day. I got there and they tried to send me away, and when I wouldn't relent they took us back to see the vet, who proceeded to talk to me in a very condescending manner as if I was a child. She said that it was normal for kitties to get sick after a procedure like that (which they never warned me or anyone else who came in to drop off or pick up their pets). I was given drops and ammoxicilin for her, which have proven not to work. The procedure was back in August, and going into November her eyes are still runny and will not stop. Do not trust these people with your pets! (2018) UPDATE (2021): Well wouldn’t you know it, my cat STILL hasn’t recovered from this place. I guess y’all condescending vets don’t know what you’re talking about after all. If I could sue you or get you shut down, I would. What a disgrace!

I have been going to them since they were on Lemon St. Back then they really were a God send because if it hadn't been for their program I would not have been able to get my cats cared for. Experiencia fantástica: My favorite place to take my baby. Ladies were very nice. Service was fast and the prices are definitely affordable. Please support this great location. The only thing is that they don't provide surgeries or emergency services. Thank you for your hard work
Experiencia fantástica: They are amazing with my 3 yr old Bassett hound Daisy -we love the way they have cared for her, we had her spayed there and the Dr. was on point with her allergies, she wasted no time getting her allergy relief from the itching and the flare up in her skin. The staff is just as great with my fur baby.
Experiencia negativa: I want to add more stars because of the techs that I dealt with at the end of the appt, but I just can't. I needed to get my male cat neutered so I made an appt for august 2nd. Had to put down a deposit just to book it but got a call a few days later saying they needed to move it to Aug. 6th. Okay, sure. On the 6th, drop off at 8am was hectic and lengthy. Was told to pick up my kitty at 4:30pm. Get a call around 3:30pm saying not to come until 6:30..went at 6:30 and waited an hour along with an angry mob of pet parents outside the doors just to be told that nobody's pets had even had surgery yet because a surgeon didn't show up and that they were keeping all of the animals until the surgeries were done. They would call each of us for pick up as soon as our pet was ready. When I had just gotten back home they called me saying my cat was ready..so I prepared to head straight back but got another call 1 minute later saying there was another cat by the same name and they confused the two so my boy wouldn't be ready for awhile. It was just a total nightmare. I do appreciate that they worked after hours to treat all of the pets and very well may have been doing their best but their unprofessional approach was very off-putting, especially the man who answers the phone at the front desk. I wish they would have called sooner to tell all of us not to come in at 6:30 as I live quite a ways away. If you sincerely need an inexpensive surgery for your pet then this would be a solution since the surgery is under $75 but personally I would rather save up and pay more as opposed to coming back here.
Experiencia negativa: Place use to be 200% better when on lemon street. Since they moved, the staff is horrendous, they are always closed or only accepting cash, no notices if you have an appointment, and so much more. Been told multiple times they do not take appointments but the site allows you to request appt, which will be denied then you have to go as walk in, wait 3 hours for them to tell you their machines are down. Completely pathetic place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
Experiencia negativa: I went to ACT on Friday, Sept 25, 202 at 7:30 AM as the website says that they opened at 8:00 AM. When I arrived I went to the door to knock and the posted hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00. When the office clerk came out she let us know that they would not be able to help us as they had a water main break, without water and also without a Dr. I asked how long the water issues had been going on and she said about 3-4 weeks. Seriously? If it's a main water break without water how are they working, using the restroom and practicing proper hygiene especially during a pandemic? That in itself is an issue. I then asked why they didn't at least have a sign on the door and she said that they had just argued about that the day before about putting something on the door but didn't mention what the end result was. Apparently nothing because no sign. I was told that if I had called before coming they would have told me they were closed to clients at which point I said that I had called 3 times the day before and on the third attempt I left a message and was still waiting on a return call. I asked about something on the website? I was told that the office has no control over the website only Corporate as they monitor the website. So the website has incorrect hours and nothing about the office being temporarily closed. They had a list of 4 other practices in the area that could get us in that day. I had been to 2 of the practices that were on the list and both are very costly compared to ACT. I had both a sick cat and dog but was able to get in to one of the other practices spending almost $1,200. When I initially called to see about getting in the same day and explained what happened they seemed surprised and in the dark about ACT and the office being closed but worked my 2 pets into their busy schedules. I am extremely grateful that I was able to get in to one of the other practices and my cat is not yet out of the woods. I am on the fence about returning. I also called ACT to get a phone # for Corporate and told they don't have one as it's just one person but they would take my info and give it the supervisor. I was given an email address for someone at ACT and am hoping it's their "Corporate" person. I have used them in the past and on my last visit after waiting in the waiting room for over an hour and getting there 1 hour before they opened was told they didn't have a Dr. but that one was coming but would be a while. My pet was seen that day and given an antibiotic to hold over until I could get her somewhere that could operate for pyometria as it was potentially life threatening. They do good things but need to get it together in the communication department.

Experiencia negativa: I called about my pet and was told come at 3pm, I got there and that is when they tell me that I have to do certain things to get service. I would expect to be told these things while on the phone, not when I get there, then get told these important things I should have been informed of. You don't think of everything when you pet is dying, so just so you know my pet us okay, but she is still not totally right. I found someone to help me with her, unfortunately is was not this place due to the fact that they were not informing the potential clients, all their rules and requirements. Overall very dissatisfied.
Experiencia fantástica: This is a great place to go if you trap spay and neuter like me. The 2nd Monday of every month they run specials. I love a vet that helps out the community like that. Not many care enough to give up profits for the sake of the animals. They also have a very nice staff, which is also getting more rare these days.
Experiencia negativa: Poorly managed. Called this week to find out their hours (M-F 8:30-2:30) and showed up Friday at 11:15am. They told me they decided to close for renovations and that my pet could not be seen. I took off work and drove 15 miles for this. If you value your time at all, this is not the place for you. It could be run so much better.
Experiencia fantástica: So grateful for ACT and the wonderful people that keep it running on a daily basis...honestly I cannot brag enough. Elysa, the front desk clerk, was so patient with me as I brought in 2 ferals in desperate need of help and I was so appreciative of her compassion. God Bless! August 8, 2020 I am editing my review because I cannot delete it! I no longer feel grateful for ACT nor do I want to brag about this organization. MY 5 STARS WOULD BE 1 STAR after my visit this past week. In truth, after my last couple of visits. I am forwarding my concerns to the City of Tampa and to Vanguard Management (Code Enforcement). If you are reading this and you have concerns about your care/service I encourage you to do the same.
Experiencia negativa: I was considering coming here until I read that review someone posted two days ago about how the “vet” administered the vaccines incorrectly causing the animal to die. I can’t imagine your loss and honestly you all should be shut down if that happened to me I would sue you for the little you have and make sure you loose your vet license. After seeing the reviews there’s no such thing as a “high cost bill” because I live my dog too much to take the risk here. I’ll continue browsing until I find a place with a good reputation.
Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give it below zero. I recently took in my domestic shorhaired kitten, he was 6 months we received him from a family who could not pay to take care of him. We brought him to get his shots and a flea and tick medicine. Within 5 days of his vaccines my kitten was paralyzed at the hind legs we had rushed him to the emergency room and they had informed us that the vaccines were administered incorrectly. Wishing 48 hours me and my family had lost our precious pet / family. Please don not go here unless you are prepared to loose your loved one.
Experiencia fantástica: We caught a feral cat by accident and made an appointment for Spay Day. :) The Animal Coalition did a great job, the cat is doing great and we feel a lot better letting him go back into the wild. :) Thank you we truly appreciate it. :)
Experiencia fantástica: You know, for a "low cost" clinic, I've never felt like they treated me like someone poor. They spend time actually looking over and diagnosing my dog, give recommendations versus requirements, and help me cut costs where possible. I've been to so many vets where they keep adding on things we didn't need (he does not have fleas and we have a preventive and yet...) or tossing shampoos and things at me and ACT doesn't do that. They didn't even suggest a costlier treatment until I requested it. And considering the drop off going on now for COVID-19 prevention, they handled it really well. The only thing I'd suggest is making the check out process more clear, as that was a little confusing and led to a few people piling up which is what they don't want right now. Overall, a good experience and we'll definitely keep using them.
Experiencia fantástica: The staff are great, very helpful and they took necessary precautions in the setting of a pandemic. All the staff wore facemasks, they frequently provided hand sanitizer, and everyone was outside. They also provided water bottles which was very kind given it was so hot. Affordable prices. You do have to set aside at least 2.5 hours (we were there for 3) because it is popular and first come, first serve basis.
Experiencia negativa: I miss the staff and location from lemon st. To start with the only access road is partially flooded with a sign to enter at your risk. Waited in line for 30 mins to sign in. The girl handling registration was rude and gave no eye contact. I had to ask on the protocol here and a wait time. She said 1 to 2 hours. I wait in my car for 2 hours and one of the vets were leaving. Walked back to the check in desk and just handed her back the pager. She didn't care and pnce again no eye contact. Lack of organization. It's summer time so waiting in the Florida heat is dangerous to both people and the animals. ...poor customer service. Not worth waiting.
Experiencia negativa: 3 years ago I gave them 5 stars. That led me to drive over 60 miles roadtrip to come back today to support their cause. Obviously there were many other vet options along the way. It was a wasted trip, because they are closed today due to the vet calling in sick. That is not their fault. However, it says to knock on the door to get med refills. Since that is what my dog needed most I attempted that. They can't do that without the vet. They can't even sell in stock items for stray cats. Website still says they're open. All of this after I called ahead last Tues & it took over 30 hrs to get a text response. Recommendation: only visit if you live nearby & call ahead the day you are coming. I so loved supporting their cause in the past. 2 fails in 2 weeks. This truly makes me sad.
Experiencia fantástica: We have been bringing our little girl here and really like Dr. Wagner. She is very sweet and cares a lot for our Ruby. She had surgery today and even though we didn’t get to meet the surgeon whom I think is Dr. Cox we think he did a fantastic job and showed he cared for our little girl. The girl who checked her in this morning was very sweet and professional. Karina who checked us out was very nice and professional as well. I want to also compliment Michelle who was the nurse in Ruby’s surgery. She was very nice and helpful. She really went out of her way for Ruby and she definitely loves animals. It is obvious that all of the people I mentioned love animals. They showed a lot of care and concern for our girl. To top it off they are priced very competitive. Thank you Animal Coalition for taking care of our little girl.
Experiencia negativa: Completely disorganized during covid19. Waiting in line in the sun for 30 minutes to sign in with a bunch of workers sitting there talking....all they have to do is hand out a clip board so you can go wait in your car. I've been in line for 4 hours waiting for 2 vaccinations for my dog and I just called to find my place in line and they told me the one person working just went to lunch. Must be nice because I'm starving. Terrible service!!!!! What happened since they moved.
Experiencia negativa: I would schedule my appointment a month in advance and then they would put walk-ins ahead of me. So disappointing. Last time I went there which was over a while ago they had at least eight people ahead of me and I had an appointment. When I would go before even if there was one or two people ahead of me I would wait an hour. I haven't been back since Looks like they went too straight walk-ins. Good luck. you'll probably be there all day. So mismanaged. It was great when I started going there about 5 years ago. I don't know what happened but it's a disaster now
Experiencia negativa: Their website and answering machine claim they open at 8am but don’t actually open their doors until 8:30am. When you’re waiting with a pet for this long for no reason, it is annoying. When waiting for them to actually open, another customer claimed she experienced this before with them.
Experiencia fantástica: I took my Siberian Husky, Lunna to be spay and get all her shots. They did an excellent job. She had no problems, reactions or anything else. I appreciated they took good care of my baby. Thanks for the great service
Experiencia negativa: THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER!!! Do not go here!! They made me wait 4 months to get the appointment. Rescheduled it , and then ended up doing nothing to my dog because they needed blood work , but charged me 204.00 before catching the error. So my dog was there all day and they did nothing to her and then accidentally charged 204.00. I now have to wait 3-5 days for it to return to my credit card. Then they made me wait an hour in the parking lot to get my dog and drop her off. The office manager was outside yelling at a dog owner because she was questioning charges. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They treat you like an inconvenience.
Experiencia negativa: After calling all day the next day My husband drives 30 mins to be told we don't have the meds in stock just order online. Have place order online just says waiting for vet. I have tried this before and my order never gets processed. I don't know what to do! I need my dogs meds and NO ONE WILL ANSWER THE PHONE. I have left msgs on on the refill voice mail. I have called and called. ANSWER THE PHONE!
Experiencia fantástica: I love this organization. We have taken multiple dogs there to be fixed. They took excellent care of them. They were always happy to answer questions and soothe our concerns. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT bring a large dog here! Atleast 70+. My dog is very well mannered, large, loving and was ignore by the vet until it was time to draw blood and get his Flu mist. Come to find out the vet was bit by a dog. So she decides to make a living freaking out dogs and putting muzzles on them. The whole time in the room was a stress and spas fest. The whole experience was not good. I will not be going back with any of my animals and hope you will find other means of care. The price was epic but I see why.
Experiencia negativa: This place is awful when it comes to communicating and filling prescriptions. I have been trying to fill a Comfortis script for 2 weeks. I went to get my cat vaccinations and when it came to check out and to add flea prevention the gentleman at the front listed a 6 month pack of comfortis at over $100. When I mentioned it was $76 online he failed to mention that they price match until after I called about them filling a script that I ordered online 2 days after I was just there. They had not responded to the pharmacy I ordered from even though they were contacted through phone, email and fax. When I went back to animal coalition to do the price match the gentleman said they dont even have the size that I needed in stock even though he knew which package I needed when he told me to come price match. I left and ordered another prescription where they failed to respond to the pharmacy AGAIN for the 2nd time. I called to ask why they havent responded to any of the calls, faxes or emails they said they would go find out what's going on for me then give me a call back. It's been 2 days and no one has called me back and the script still hasn't been filled. My 2nd order was placed 5 days ago and there's still no change.This is ridiculous and your business has poor customer service.
Experiencia positiva: The prices are reasonable. There may be a wait depending on what day and time and staff available. I've been there twice recently and saw Dr. Wagner and she did a good job and was pleasant. The new location is closer to me yay.
Experiencia negativa: Took my dog there for shots. Didn't really care for them and gave off an assembly line vibe. My dog had welts from the shots for about two weeks which has never happened before. They didn't have any rabies tags so instead of sending me one in the mail, they told me to go pick it up myself at another location that was on Faulkenburg Rd. Total opposite direction from where I live. What an inconvenience. This should have been told to me when I called to make the appointment.
Experiencia negativa: I have been going to ACT for over 3 years and loved their compassion. Regrettably after their move to Carrollwood my last experience was far less favorable. After a very long, unexpected wait time... following reassurance to come right in because they were not busy, no one put me on the list and I waited hours to be seen (I had an unbreakable appt to make across town!) Finally out the door and it took almost 2 weeks for the staff to "ok" my dog's script for medication thru my chosen Pharmacy. Left me feeling like they are forcing me to buy meds thru them after having to bring in my pet last minute to get a flea med script. Sadly, I am in search of other affordable veterinary services now.
Experiencia fantástica: Great care for my puppy at reasonable prices. Just wish they would have helped me a bit better I asked 2 times for the prices and brands on their oral flea and tick medicine and still didn't get that info. But overall great place.
Experiencia negativa: While their prices are good I would highly suggest people take their pets somewhere else for veterinary needs. I took my two kittens there to get spayed/neutered and one of them "passed" away before the surgery even started. They told me they have no idea what happened but I'm pretty sure they over sedated my kitten based off research I did and what they told me. There was a general lack of sympathy and they still made me pay for most of the procedure on the deceased kitten. They offered to pay for cremation and an urn which I accepted. I have yet to hear back from them in over a week even though they said it should only take a couple of days. If I would've known this is the type of treatment my animals and I would get, I would gladly spend the extra money to go to a better animal clinic.

Experiencia positiva: I was happy ..at first. Then I spoke with another facility about heartworm treatment and costs. Yes, it is cheaper with ACT..But.then I said I was shocked at how much I was charged for Doxycycline $111.00 for 180 100mg tabs. They immediately said that has to be a mistake. It only costs between $30-$40.00 for that many. I checked online, and yes... They were right. If this is a non profit, why are they charging so much for the medication? I understand if it was a mistake... But Wow... That's $70 I really couldn't afford, but my dog is like my child. I'm just very surprised that they are over charging people ...
Experiencia negativa: I having been coming to ACT for years, but last year wheny dog started acting funny a week after I gave her, her preventatives, they told me that it has to to with them and to call the makers. I knew something was wrong and it wasn't the meds, so I took her to an emergency vet and they told me that it was a good thing I went with my gut she was going into renail failure and had pancreatitis. I was told by that vet after my dog was well again, that she is going to need yearly blood draws. Ok my dog is getting old, with that being said I was thrilled that ACT now can do blood draws and check all of her levels. I get to the new location, had to repeat myself atleast three times to several people what I needed. After a few hours I finally get called back, they repeat that she is here for only 2 shots, which yes she needed and did get but they didn't write that she needs her blood drawn. The vet tech then brought my dog back and said that the vet needed to do the blood draw, I say no problem I just want to make sure it gets done. After all was said and done, I was told that I would get a call the next day, I got nothing. I waited a week because they are after all a non-profit organization. After a week I start calling, I get told that they left a note with the vet, the next day transferred to the pharmacy, and told it can take up to 3 days. I waited patiently untill the next week when I heard nothing. I was able to convince a friend of mine to give me a ride up there to find out if they could tell me that her work came out normal. I was told that someone most definitely called me, no did bus her levels were fineI didn't receive a call untill this Saturday, two and a weeks later. The prices are good but it should not take 2 1/2 weeks to get blood work back. Thank God I listened to my gut last year or she would be dead, if that were to have happened again waiting 2 1/2 weeks for lab results she would have been dead. For the love of God y'all need to get back to people sooner or someone's animal will die!
Experiencia positiva: I'm very disappointed in the new facility. When this place was on Lemon street I had the best service and the wait was not long at all. The staff at the front desk particularly one was very rude from the start. Then I asked for a buzzer so I could take my dog outside and she slammed the clipboard down like she was so bothered. The prices are good but I really miss the staff that cared on Lemon street. Definitely not the same experience. Then the ladys at the front desk was going back and forth with each other about who was going to lunch very loudly in front of customers. Unprofessional
Experiencia negativa: Let me begin by saying that all of my pets have come to animal coalition of Tampa since I moved to the area 5 years ago...What started out as a good trip for my puppies first visit to our vet, turned into a very awful day. I came in to the establishment on a not so busy day at a not busy time (not that it matters) for 2, yes TWO vaccinations for my puppy... after waiting in a room for 2 hours The tech returned to take my puppy to the vet so they could administer the vaccinations and shortly after they returned him to me. At this point we are now late to work and checking out to leave and the tech comes back to tell us the vet has something important to talk to us about... well the manager, holly, whom has met my other pets notified me that the staff had "accidentally administered a Feline Lukemia vaccine".... & they don't know which of the other two were actually given.... I heard people in the back bringing up how upset I was....how would you feel if someone carelessly gave a DOG a CAT vaccination. It's called bad malpractice... my anxiety is at a 10 because now I have to watch my dog for any kind of reactions. This is my first dog after losing another and it's just heartbreaking to know that I brought him here to begin with. All I received was $33 credit and a vets cell number Incase of an emergency... as much as I used to love this place and enjoyed Holly caring for my pets, I do not think I can stomach coming back here... ever. It only takes a second to double check what you're injecting into my dog, the thought that my dog wasn't worth the extra second is troubling. Whoever is responsible should lose their job because a mistake like that could be the cost of an animals life. I pray my Pomsky Banxx will be ok. I didn't even receive an apology from the person responsible and that's just sad, where's the accountability?
Experiencia positiva: Brought my dog in to have her leg checked out and to have her shots up to date. I understand that it is a first come first serve but they are really slow with getting you into a room. I sat there for about an hour and a half before getting into a room. The people are really nice and for the price you can't beat it.
