Experiencia positiva: Excellent service from Dr. Rheems and his surgical team. Izzy had two TPLO surgeries from cruciate repairs and one surgery to remove the screws and plate used to repair a cruciate tear. Izzy is doing very well now and will return to retriever field trial competition soon.

Experiencia fantástica: I am super impressed with the quality of care and seamless approach to an emergency for our puppy. I’m extremely impressed with the surgeon. If only all healthcare professionals led with such compassion, professionalism, and clear communication, the experience of navigating a medical emergency would be far less stressful. Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my cat (Milo) to the cardiologist at this place and Dr.Harris was amazing! Although our news was not great he made me feel better and explained everything so thoroughly which i greatly appreciated. Milo unfortunately has HCM a heart disease that is incurable and will need medication for his heart forever. Dr. Harris with compassionate and caring when it came to telling me the news about my baby. I had a great experience overall and will be coming here again for milo’s checkups. The price for everything was about 1090 which included echo of his heart, blood pressure test, and overview of everything,and the medication that milo needs. It is on the pricier side but for the convenience and the only place being near me i’d say it’s worth it .

Experiencia fantástica: Lucy Belle is our 7 year old Blue Merle longhair Chihuahua that loves to chase squirrels. Chasing a squirrel caused her to tear her CCL and Meniscus. We didn’t have to wait weeks to get an appointment for her to see a doctor. They were very thorough with their examination of Lucy and Dee and Dr. Olson explained everything that was going to be done in surgery. Lucy has TPLO surgery. Surgery went very well. We received updates by phone on how the procedure was going and how Lucy was doing. Complete written instructions were given and a time line of what we needed to do. I can’t say enough on how good everything went and how pleased we are with Blue Pearl . Thank you again Dr.Olson and Dee.

Experiencia fantástica: We arrived and we're placed in a room on time. Dr Harris was very thorough. He let me watch the echo of my dogs heart. I found it very interesting since I've been in healthcare for 40 years. They let me tour the hospital and recovery. It was very clean ; the pups were gently carried in fluffy beds and treated like royalty. It eased my mind for when we return for surgery. I love his nurse she is warm very welcoming and answered my questions after the dr left. It's priced appropriately for the expertise, equipment, technology and multiple staff. They treat your pup like a family member not an animal. Thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and the Vets are always super nice and they always explain everything so you can fully understand what the plan of care for your pet is. Unfortunately, my pet needs to have surgery soon to repair both ACL and the cost is very high. But we will do what we have to do to get my dog back to running around.

Experiencia fantástica: We are beyond grateful for the care our baby received at BluePearl Pet Hospital. After he had emergency surgery for a torsion, we were transferred there once the emergency vet released him, and we decided to leave him overnight for observation. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Alfonso and the critical care team went truly above and beyond. They ran an ultrasound and additional tests to make sure he was stable and well, and their communication throughout the entire process was excellent. We were kept informed every step of the way, which gave us so much peace of mind during a very stressful time. What meant the most to us was how gently and thoughtfully they handled him. He’s usually not very keen on other people, but he genuinely loved everyone who cared for him there — which speaks volumes about their compassion and approach. We deeply appreciate all the effort, attention, and love they put into his stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better team during such a scary moment, and we will always be thankful for the exceptional care they provided.

Experiencia fantástica: Our 15.5 year old, 12 lb Shih-Chi mix, Gizmo, was attacked by a pit bull. We rushed her to our vet who stabilized her & told us to take her to Blue Pearl ASAP. We rushed her there, they were ready for her as our vet sent them everything necessary to care for her. Dr Connor & her Team saved her life! From the moment they had her, we felt confident that she was in the best hands. Gizmo spent 3 nights & 4 days with the Critical Care Service Team. They updated us regularly, and left detailed messages if we were unreachable. We could also call anytime, day or night, for updates, which is always a plus. They were so kind to Gizmo and us. We don't want to forget about the front desk folks - they are the best at what they do, always with genuine kindness and compassion. Always know the right thing to say. Thank you all at Blue Pearl for saving our Gizmo's life and giving us the gift of her presence.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been using Blue Pearl for several years, and currently for my beloved dog Dora with Cushings. Although many say they are expensive, I would say the expense is in direct correlation to the level of service, knowledge, expertise, and detailed documentation provided. (which I often refer back to) . Additionally, I have found they have excess to medical technology and equipment that would increase costs.

Experiencia fantástica: Service: Oncology Nurse: Sheronda Oncologist: Dr. kezer Clean facilities friendly staff and very knowledgeable as well. I was able to take the research I did myself and have a well educated, civil and respectful conversation with the staff with all of my questions answered. Dr. Kezer and her nurse, Sheronda were attentive, respectful and adaptable with our situation offering guidance instead of just loading us up with information she walked us through what to consider and how it plays an over all part of the experience.

Experiencia negativa: I can not state enough how frustrating and disgusted our experience has been. Our cat was brought in due to a Dx of stage one cancer. The tumor was large but the margins were clean and had not spread to organs or surrounding tissues. The surgery should have been very positive to remove the tumor and heal the suture site. The communication in this facility is beyond poor. Dr. Reems never called to let us know after dropping our cat off at 7am the day of the surgery, that he went into surgery and never let us know when he came out. At 7pm we had to call to get the results of how he was doing. This is appalling to us. When we were able to pick him up the suturing was sloppy with gaps in the sutures. He immediately dehissed and they had to put him back under anesthesia and "clean out the suture site saying he had an infection" ALEADY?? it has only been barley a week AND you "cleaned out the infection under anesthesia" He was placed under two rounds of Calvamox and did not respond. With the wounds looking terrible. Then we are told he needed to go on a very strong antibitiotic with side effects, Revampin. Half way into this Our cat took a turn for the worse and passed away. This surgery had extremely good odds for him to come out of this and live. For how long we were not sure but longer then two weeks. Our cat went septic due to a surgery infection from Blue Pearl and this clinic was not honest with us at how bad the infection was and our cat died due to the poor care and communication from this clinic. On top of that when I emailed the Dr. to let him know that our baby died, he couldn't even acknowledge with an email response back. I was told twice that manger would call me back and talk to me about the care issues and never once was I called to discuss these concerns. They were more concerned with the price of services than the care of our cat. The care and the communication at this facility is beyond deplorable and we should still have our baby with us. Experiencia fantástica: Blue Pearl took in my little Boston Girly at 12AM. She was treated like a Princess! Diagnosed her in one night when another Vet didn’t in two visits, impressive to me! Unfortunately for her and me, the diagnoses was heart breaking but correct, heart missing its P wave function. They made her comfortable and I took her home and brought her back next day hoping for miracle. Medical Diagnoses stood firm. After making her comfortable for Sunday night I took by my Baby home and comforted her until the end. Thank You Blue Pearl and staff. Nellie passed Monday morning while resting. Michael T Hunt (Dad)

Experiencia fantástica: My pup had a Cystoscope done at Blue Pearl. Dr. Mears took the time to explain everything in terms I would understand. He gave me options. After I decided to do the scope I had questions and it took him a bit to get back to me, but they are a busy hospital. He took the time when he called back to explain things to me, again, in terms that I would understand. He listen to what I had to say and answered all my questions.I was happy with the care my pup got and the pricing as I thought it would be much more. The staff realized that I was under stress when I brought my pup in and were very acknowledging of that fact. They were very patient with me.

Experiencia fantástica: My dog has a very aggressive cancer- mast cell tumor- that has spread a bit. Most people would have given up on my pup, but Dr Kezer the oncologist at Blue Pearl has been very positive, kind, and hard working at finding ways to battle this. I drive almost 2 hours for an appointment but it's worth to keep my pal happy! Im very thankful that a place like this exists. The surgery and radiation teams have been great as well.

Experiencia positiva: Although an ER visit is expensive, and the wait was extremely long bc they were understaffed and had a ton of emergencies come in, the vet we had was extremely empathetic, supportive and knowledgeable. The next day we had to make some difficult decisions and they have me their own opinion as if it was their own dog and not just about keeping her alive just to keep her alive. They suggested what was best for her and I appreciated that.

Experiencia fantástica: Our golden retriever had struggled with seizures. Our local vet referred us to Blue Pearl Neurology. They have been unbelievably professional, responsive, friendly, caring etc.. Dr Kimora was Very professional! Katie Thom has been the best!!! When I email Blue Pearl Katie will contact me the same day keeping me so calm and problem solving the issues we may be having with our golden. This place is the best for our golden and his seizure issues! Update: Our golden is still under the care of Dr Kimora. When my dog has a seizure or related episodes I document it and email them. Shannon has always promptly responded to my emails and helped me to assist our golden with his episodes with additional medication. We did take Chase in for a yearly checkup and the staff is amazing! Thank you for your professionalism!!

Experiencia negativa: I would never bring my dog to Blue Pearl under any circumstance again. This is basically a money grabbing outfit who pretend to care about your pet as long as the money is flowing. The vets are substandard and are only hired there because no one else will take them on. If you love your pet please make a better decision about their care. We paid $6000 and left with a box of ashes because of the incompetence at Blue Pearl.

Experiencia positiva: How does an emergency vet just not answer their phone? Called 12 times now at different times over 2 days. It just rings, says we are important, wait while we transfer you to the operator. Rings and repeats. I have waited, up to 15 minutes, hoping someone would just answer and even put me on hold. I just needed to talk to someone about a potential procedure. Hope I never have a real emergency when I need them.

Experiencia fantástica: We were so worried when we heard about our sweet angel Missy getting diagnosed with cancer. From the Initial consultation they were very caring and honest about my dog’s prognosis. Both my wife and dog were super anxious but they were amazing at explaining the process and calming them dog every appointment. They gave us a bunch of different options and talked us through what was best. We finished her radiation today and my crazy dog and I are so happy!

Experiencia negativa: Do not bring your pet here under any circumstances. My sweet cat wouldn’t eat her breakfast and was vomiting so I brought her in to my family vet and they referred her to blue pearl for an ultrasound because it was apparent she had fluid in her belly. After waiting 4 hours to see the results of the ultrasound and 3,000 dollars later they return her to me recommending immediate euthanasia and pushing pain medications on her however I was confused because she didn’t seem to be in any pain before I brought her in. Her only symptoms were deceased appetite and vomiting. When they gave her to me she was meowing as if she was in pain and I asked why, they said it was because of the anesthesia and she was overly stimulated. During my drive home she started yelping in pain and when I arrived home she couldn’t even walk, went limp and pretty much unresponsive. I wrapped her in a blanket and drove her to the nearest emergency vet to be put to sleep because it was obvious she was in excruciating pain. I will never forgive myself for bringing her there and letting her suffer under their watch. They don’t even let you see your animals they bring them straight to the back. I will forever be traumatized and feel her pain every day and I didn’t even get to say goodbye it’s just sickening that they would discharge a pet that is obviously in excruciating pain. You are without compassion do not bring your cat here!

Experiencia positiva: Staff was nice. Later when we returned it seemed like a shift change was about to happen and everyone was hurried and reallyndisnt take too much time for us. My dog is out of pain and that's important. Overall they were okay but they didn't give us a report for the labs we paid for. The bill seemed expensive but you accept it because everything's expensive.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my guinea pig in she wasn’t moving and gasping for breath. The waiting room was empty and a lot of employees were standing around doing nothing. Instead of taking my pet back right away we had to fill out paperwork which was the exact same thing we were just asked and then we were told to take a seat and wait. My pet died while I was sitting in the waiting room. Do not take your pet here!! Unless it’s a dog or cat they don’t care.

Experiencia fantástica: Blue pearl has been absolutely wonderful taking care of our dog Bentley. Margaret Connor, DVM, Resident, Zachary Lembersky, DVM, Resident, and John Gicking, DVM, DACVECC were so helpful and caring for him over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. His vet tech Fram made me feel comfortable leaving our baby in her care, she treated him like her own dog. We also had to take Bentley to internal medicine which again we had a wonderful experience with. Anthony M. Ishak, DVM DACVIM was extremely knowledgeable and listened to all of my concerns. The internal medicine technician Catalina, went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions were answered. She was very personable and made me feel confident my dog is receiving the best care possible. I cannot thank the staff more for being so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in a time so challenging for us. Thank you so much to everyone at Blue Pearl.

Experiencia fantástica: Our consultation with Dr. Reems exceeded expectations as he was more than thorough and extremely kind in his explanation of the surgery for our boy Caesar a Standard Poodle. The office is bustling but the extended waiting in the exam room is worth it. Caesar absolutely loved Dr. Reems as evidenced by his clinging to his side and licking him constantly which is out of character for him. We are very happy at Blue Pearl !

Experiencia negativa: Shouldn't be a shocker from the reviews before me...I usually don't do bad reviews i just leave it alone but my god the prices of this place for little to no guarantee is wild...we can keep your cat 12 hours probably cant do much but we can definitely give liquids and keep him over night...please sign here for 5,000$...if your bougie and want a place to just charge for walking by and talking to you this is your spot...for those who aren't made of money to throw at nothing do not bother

Experiencia fantástica: Best Doctors, staff and medical team. Doc Reem’s is a wonderful surgeon! He has performed 4 surgeries on two of our dogs, with great perfection and outstanding results! Also, took great care of two of our cats. I highly recommend Doc Reem’s at Blue Pearl! Best place to take your pets! Thank you all for helping my dogs and cats! Also, recommend “Healthy Paws”, for pet insurance. Get it when they are young puppies and kittens!

The technicians & physicians can see a variety: consulted for trauma patients to established senior pet care. Thursday December 2025 - Cardiology practice of Dr. Spier. My adopted cat had a murmur & periodically, he receives an echocardiogram & blood pressure reading to observe stability or progression of his pre-existing condition. Blood pressure normal and no change in status. - During Covid times & my first interaction with the team at Blue Pearl, owners were required to remain in our vehicles. Dr. Spier came out to the car to retrieve my cat. Incredible customer service in the fresh air of that time! Highly recommended. Stable pricing over the last 5 years. mld

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t thank BluePearl Animal Hospital enough for the compassion and care they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life. My puppy, Jade, who was also my emotional support animal, became extremely sick, and unfortunately I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her down. She was only 7 months old—full of love, sweetness, and still trying her best to wag her tail. The staff gave me all the time I needed to grieve. They allowed me to cry, sit with Jade, and be with her the entire time. She was treated with so much love, attention, and dignity, which meant everything to me. Today, I picked up her ashes, and the experience brought me so much closure. It was handled more beautifully than I expected. The staff also showed me incredible grace by helping me financially, offering flexible payment arrangements, and being truly understanding during such a difficult time. I’m grateful I remembered this hospital from years ago—my family cat passed when I was about 10, and now at 23, BluePearl once again cared for my family when we needed it most. Experiencia negativa: I went in to get an estimate on my dog that was puking blood although it came to be that I could not afford it at that time or the lower end option they were offering. All they had told me was that my dog was unwell and dehydrated which I already knew and couldn’t give me more answers until testing which was totally fine. I had found another pet hospital that would do it for cheaper to where I could afford everything for him to be taken care of but just only enough for it to cover that expense. When I asked if they could wave the consult fee they declined and said they couldn’t lower the bill either, so I ended up paying $148 just for them to tell me information I already knew and now I don’t have enough to take him to the more affordable option. I made them aware that if they charge me now then I wouldn’t be able to get him seen at the other location as I wouldn’t have enough funds. They still declined. I get it business is business but man, you would think a PET hospital would have the pets best interest in mind. So yes if you guys see this I would absolutely love a refund but I doubt that’s not in the businesses best interest. If you guys want affordable options look into “planned pethood” in Zephyrhills or Wesley chapel.

Entrusting someone with your beloved pet during such a scary diagnosis is incredibly hard, but from the moment we met Dr. Yee and her team, I knew Taco was in the best hands. They treated my sweet cat, Taco, for nasal sarcoma with so much kindness, patience, and genuine compassion. Dr. Yee took the time to explain every step, never rushed our questions, and made sure both Taco and I felt cared for. The staff consistently showed warmth, empathy, and tenderness — not just doing their jobs, but truly caring. During one of the most emotional and difficult times, they gave us comfort, hope, and exceptional care. Experiencia negativa: I have never heard so many versions of - *we would hate to see you put your dog down bc of the cost*. My husband and I NEVER once brought up putting our dog down bc of cost. Or even putting our dog down. After several days at a local animal ER and back and forth between local ER and our Vet - we were sent to Blue Pearl. We would have still prob lost our dog (Hemolytic Autoimmune Anemia) - but gosh - I wish we would have gone to UF Animal Hospital. We were prepared to spend the money. We were a week in on critical care. We understood the financial toll. .... it seemed as though most Blue Pearl employees went through a *prey on heartstrings* class. If we asked about what we need to be prepared for in the future - if our dog made it out of this crisis - we were met w condescending remarks, again, money related. What would monthly care look like, would she live an enjoyable life, etc. As an RT, I did comment on $1,000 ultrasound, I wasn't rude, just asked what we were looking for, as that price was steep, etc, as we had imaging done that week already - w nothing abnormal found. - i was met with *find someone else that will do it then*. (And yes, we allowed Blue Pearl to do it).... We presented, as what I would imagine, as a typical family w a typical family pet - just looking for the best care for our pup. All of the money jabs were not necessary. .... our dog had local transfusions and a few more transfusions at Blue Pearl as an inpatient, it wasn't helping. .... I asked my husband to not let her pass at Blue Pearl. A few of the employees seemed sincere - the rest gave us the ick feelings. He picked her up, met me at our local vet. We were advised to take her home and make her comfy and love her. Which we did. ♡♡♡

Experiencia negativa: I brought my dog Harley here for surgery and had a very disappointing experience. After the initial procedure, we had to return twice because Harley was still having issues. Instead of trying simple solutions first, BluePearl kept recommending additional expensive procedures each time. Harley was having an allergic reaction to the medication after surgery, but the staff didn’t even consider that as a possible cause. They immediately suggested unnecessary and costly treatments instead of exploring more practical options. I spoke with the manager about a possible discount due to all the extra procedures and visits. I was told I’d get a call the next day, but I never heard back. Overall, I felt BluePearl prioritized expensive interventions over practical care and communication. I recommend asking lots of questions and considering other options before committing to treatment here.

Experiencia fantástica: Late at night I found an injured duck. I called and was told to bring ger right away. They examined her to find no life threatening injuries. They gave me a box for her and a bag of good healthy food and told to let her relax overnight on my porch. The next morning she us up and happy. They did right but this sweet duck.

We went to get a second opinion since the “UTI” was worse and we were informed that our baby girl was actually a boy and suffering from a urinary blockage. We rushed him to blue pearl and they took him in urgently. Their team is amazing and were very compassionate with informing us of how severe his condition was and what we can do to help. We were on a tight budget and though i regret we couldn’t afford more in terms of extensive care, they worked with us to form a care plan that we can afford and unblocked our baby and took care of him beyond my expectations. Thank you guys so much. You made a devastating situation more manageable with your sweet staff.

Experiencia fantástica: Blue Pearl has been good to me. I've taken a couple different pets for specialty diagnostics and I131 for hyperthyroidism. They're prices aren't cheap, but I've checked around and they seem in line for our area. I took my cat in for respiratory distress. I had an appointment for the next week, but felt she couldn't wait. They checked her and deemed her stable. They didn't charge me at all for that visit. I was shocked, but I think it was because of the already set appointment for later. Either way, I was very appreciative. On another visit, I really liked Dr Harris in cardiology. He took his time and made sure all of my questions were answered. He explained everything thoroughly. I'll continue to use Blue Pearl for emergency and specialty diagnostics. I would recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: The team at BluePearl took excellent care of our puppy Winnie. She had swallowed a rock that caused a life-threatening bowel obstruction. They made her feel comfortable while examining her and expertly diagnosing the issue. On the day we were there, their available surgeon was operating in Clearwater, so we ended up transferring care to another pet ER in Tampa who was able to work her in for surgery. The team at BluePearl was completely understanding of the situation and promptly sent us on our way with all the records needed to seamlessly transfer care to the new office. They even called the next day to check in on Winnie and make sure she was taken care of and doing well, which was something they didn’t have to do but was appreciated. They were very busy while we were there so we did have to wait a decent amount of time, but that is to be expected when seeking care at an emergency center where multiple very sick and injured pets are showing up constantly.

Experiencia fantástica: I had heard about this ER vet and decided to make the drive here for my cat when an emergency happened after hours on a weekend. I noticed him going in and out of the litter box, peeing very little and passing what looked like blood/ blood clots. Having had two male cats in the past who got blocked I was terrified something similar was happening again. The team took him back immediately and handled everything with compassion and professionalism. One of the staff members explained what was likely going on and despite being busy everyone I spoke with was kind and knowledgeable. This visit was extra emotional for me, not just because of the scare but because of how much this little guy means to me. He came into my life as a starving stray cat back in June. We bonded during a time when my heart felt so closed off to love anything and it’s so beautiful how animals find their way to you when you need love the most. He’s such a sweet and goofy boy, truly the light of my life and I’m deeply grateful for the care and attention he received here. He’s doing great now! After going through this and having lost two male cats before to blockages, I’ve learned just how important diet is. Male cats really NEED wet food rather than just dry. I’ll be cooking for him and adding supplements to help prevent future issues. If you try this too always check with your vet to make sure your cat is getting everything they need for a healthy body.

I hope people realize what kind of people these humans are. It’s not good ones! Also my dog being pale and anemic was why they couldn’t give her an iv at another vet. And they gave her the IV here. Could have KILLED my dog. I attached the invoice so you guys can see why you are walking into - again they will rack this up without telling you what they are doing or having you approve it! My dog was also not weak, she went home just fine. She was sick. Please stay far away. They want money, not your dogs health. Please go to EPIC. I was panicked and signed a form in the beginning saying they could “treat” my dog. This means you will let them rack up the bill and they won’t tell you the services they are doing. They did the SAME tests I had paid for at another vet that referred them to me 20 mins before arriving. I mentioned she just had that done they met me with “not for a while” I responded it was 40 mins ago and was again met with “well you signed the waiver”. scam artists, and wanted to keep her over night - I said no. She has cancer, I was met with compassion and care at the EPIC emergency vet. Please save your money and your pet - read the reviews they aren’t saving your pet if you don’t have money!!

Unfortunately, our King Charles Cavalier, Sofie Rose, has had to make several visits over the years due to congestive heart failure. Each time, the staff has been incredibly courteous, compassionate, and efficient — they got her in right away, cared for her with such professionalism, and helped her recover back to her happy, normal self. Without their outstanding care, our sweet girl likely wouldn’t have made it this far. Thanks to BluePearl, we’ve been blessed with several more wonderful years with her. Experiencia negativa: My friend and I dropped a stray dog off last night that seemingly got hit by a car or was in a dog fight. They told us he had no microchip and that he had some fractures. I filled out a paper that said "good samaritan.." which i assumed with the fact i filled out my number and address PLUS had to add my signature meant that i would get an update about the dog. unfortunately when i called them since it had been 9 hours almost 10 since i dropped him off and asked if i could get an update about him, i was told "i'm sorry we don't give information out about strays"?! so why have me fill out paperwork when i can't even be let known if he's okay?? with the reviews i saw AFTER dropping him off i'm worried about the health of the dog. all i ask is to be let known the status of his health and if he's going to a shelter for adoption after care.

Experiencia fantástica: We drove up from Sarasota and saw Dr Spier and his team today for a cardiology consult and testing on our cat and everyone was fantastic! I was so impressed with everyone we encountered from the front desk to the doc. Dr Spier met with us first to explain everything and set expectations in a direct but caring way and with the best attitude and "exam-room-side" manner and humor, all which were truly appreciated. Experiencia negativa: Extremely beyond disappointed. I've been here before with no so good results, however I needed to bring my dog to the ER who also had some specialists on hand. We saw Dr. Nguyen who told me being ER they are limited to what they can do which for an ER that's not something you want to hear when my dog was clearly having issues. Just because she has a history of problems there's a reason I was there. My dogs eyes were watering as one of the issues and asked if it could be blood pressure. She said she's never heard of it, but would test it. How do you not know high blood pressure can cause watering eyes? It did come back high. We ran labs and some other tests, but basically got nowhere. She wanted to put my dog on Benazpril for the blood pressure, but I have questioned my dogs issues relating to her liver because her albumin was declining. I was told my dogs liver enzymes were normal. I ended up seeing the lab results and my dogs alt was right at the end of being normal and my dogs history is low normal so I knew something wasn't right with it trending up. I did not give my dog the medication and said I would talk to my primary vet. Good thing I didn't give them because my primary ran some tests including a bile acids and re-ran other liver markers and found my dog is in liver failure. She also tested her blood pressure which was very normal in her office. I bought a blood pressure machine to keep an eye on numbers and there was one night she actually dropped low. She said had I given her the blood pressure meds my dog most likely would not be here as those meds are very harsh on the liver and kidney's. She said the blood pressure issues are from her liver disease. I don't know where these vets are getting educated, but they are seriously failing many including me. All of the money spent and left with nothing. I can only imagine how many others just listen to them not knowing any better and their pets die because of poor decisions or lack of education. I get they are taught to support big pharma by treating symptoms, but listen to the owners and don't just brush off anything and assume labs are normal. There can be huge reg flags on them and many were missed yet stared them right in the face. There's more I can add to this, but I'm limited to what how much I can type. I guarantee I will never be back.

Experiencia positiva: These veterinarians who specialize in cardiology, oncology, internal medicine and then much more....alot of specialists and highly trained Certified Veterinary Technicians. The diagnostic abilities are superb! I recently went to the emergency center in Tampa. It is in the same building but after hours. They were quick to see us and got my dog right back for exam and treatment. Very friendly front desk staff. They are quick to accommodate what you need. I can only say my cons were the invoice had 2 cerenia shots when we got 1 and I was charged for anesthesia that didn't happen. The front desk who I spoke to next day were quick to see that and fixed it with a refund. Plus a bit pricey yet you are paying for this incredible staff, doctors & cvts. Just pay more attention to detail stuff taken the time. Love Blue Pearl

Experiencia negativa: Horrible communication. Waited for over two hours before being told that it would be at least another hour just for the vet to see my cat. Wasted the entire afternoon there. If they had given me some indication up front, could have gone to a regular vet. Now I’m stuck at another emergency vet that will be more expensive. They really need to improve their communication. Doubt I’ll ever be back after this even though we are literally around the corner.

Experiencia negativa: Was recommended to this place by the pet urgent care of wesley chapel. Brought in my dog because he was having trouble breathing and trouble eating. Both places could not diagnose my dog without running test which we agreed to including x-rays. After going back twice and running test, the veterinarians still could not find out was wrong. They sent him home and recommended more testing, which they should have checked while we were there the first time when looking at him and with my wife showing them a video of how he was breathing. 2k+ spent. Short of it was we got home and my wife decided to give him a treat and as he caught it he lifted his head up grabbed and swallowed it. Choked a little and then cleared his throat and he's been fine ever since. Looks like he had an obstruction in his throat and these vets didn't even bother to check his throat. Seems to me they wanted every test just get money from us. Even getting proper pet care is a crap shoot.

Experiencia negativa: The veterinarian team took advantage of my son’s situation and charged 11000.00 dollars on his dog knowing that the dog wouldn’t live. They released my son’s dog knowing he was going to pass. My son didn’t get 30 minutes away from Blue Pearl and his puppy passed. Blue Pearl should be ashamed. My son purchased hundreds of dollars of medicine to bring his dog home, his dog didn’t even make it home. The veterinary clinic sent the dog home with hundreds of dollars of medication knowing the dog wouldn’t live.

Experiencia fantástica: My JRT Bella and I have had several amazing visits with various BP professionals. Each encounter very positive. From first phone call in mid-June, through exams, scans and radiation, we have been treated with care and respect. I came in a very anxious and worried pet Mama and soon felt that my girl was in the right place and receiving the BEST care possible. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need. We plan to see you at least every 3-4 months for a long time.

Experiencia fantástica: When all local specialty hospitals were booked weeks out in advance, this place was able to get me in the next day! Very nice, knowledgeable, and understanding employees. I drove over 2 hours to come here and will gladly do it again. Great facility!

Experiencia fantástica: Our English bulldog gave us a scare and passed out . We referred to Blue pearl cardiologist and they got us in the very next day we even wert late and they still saw us . They took great care of our Titan and eased our minds and hearts . Thank you so much

Experiencia negativa: Was told upon arrival short wait.... 20 minutes is not short to me.... THen another 20 minutes. then another.... there over 3 hours.... When the doctor last spoke with me she was preparing meds to bring out..... ""few minutes"" 20 minutes later... two girl front desk could //would not walk back and get the pills... finally another tech walked by and helped me...... TELL THE TRUTH if it is an hour wait say so up fron... 2 hours.. what ever .... just tell me stright.... will NEVER GO BACK...

Because we work on a triage basis within our Emergency department, we can never predict exactly how long the wait will be, but we do our best to keep pet's families updated as things change. Experiencia negativa: A CT scan, $4000. A nasal scope, $3000. Anesthesia, $1000. In 1.5 hours, my bank account was gutted like a fish. No one should have to choose between going into debt vs the health of their pets. The alternative is unthinkable and they know it. Petcare has become a racket. BTW, they found nothing. We are back to square one.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my dog to see the Neurologist. I was able to get an appointment within two days. The staff and Dr Kimura were great. The doctor took his time and explained everything in great detail. I highly recommend Blue Pearl.

Experiencia positiva: I regards to my dog diagnosis , I did not get much feedback from Dr. Olsen after he saw my dog and reviewed my dog X-Rays and blood work. I’m the one who asked all the detailed questions to get answers from him. I really did not get much clarification to make a valid decision regarding risk vs reward on a 12 year old Doberman. Although I did receive his post doctor notes that were way more thorough and explanatory. I felt with all said and done the cost for the consultation they charge which I knew up front prior to coming in was very high for the 20 minutes conversation.

Experiencia negativa: I was there about two weeks ago and I hope I never have to go back to them ever. They are awful. I truly believe and it is my opinion they care more about money than they do your pets life. I can't remember how many times they said " You have other OPTIONS" meaning in my opinion "we can destroy your pet for you right now If you cannot come up with the money we want immediately right now tonight." I told them I could come up with the money they wanted the next day but they told me they needed over $4000.00 just to keep her overnight and run some test. I was very upset and told them to bring her out to me and then I paid my bill which was over $1100.00 for a few hours she was there which did include x-rays. I went to leave and a worker said do you want to get some pain killers for her and I said is that not included in the $1100.00 and she said no so I said yes she will need pain killers which was $79.00 more for a couple days supply. I was able to save the cat by having her leg amputated somewhere else at an establishment that made you feel like your pets life was important to them and they performed the surgery and everything for the cat including x-rays for less than Blue Pearl and the little they did. She is alive and doing well no thanks to Blue Pearl. PLEASE DO NOT respond to my review trying to make it sound like you care. It was quite clear to me that night you do not. I would never bring her back to Blue Pearl for any follow-up as your people made it abundantly clear in my opinion you were more than willing to kill her that night.
