3 months ago Negative experience: I give them a zero, but it won't let me. I have been coming here for over 25 years, have waited as long as 1 1/2 hours for my appointments with my pets, I no longer live close and have to travel across town, there was an accident and I was 15 minutes late. They were aware that she was bleeding dark blood when she tried to poop. There were only 2 people in the wating room. They told me I could take my dog to an urgent care or make an appointment for another day. This has to be the most terrible service I have ever received. So disheartening.
We are truly sorry to hear how upsetting this experience was for you, especially after being a client with us for so many years. We completely understand how stressful it is when your pet is not feeling well, and we never want any client to feel dismissed or unheard.
We recognize that unexpected situations and accidents happen, and we empathize with how difficult it can be to arrive late under those circumstances. At the same time, when a client is running behind — particularly when a pet is experiencing concerning symptoms—a quick call ahead allows our medical team to notify the doctor and determine the best next steps in real time. In many cases, this helps us find solutions without unnecessary delays or frustration for anyone involved.
Because our doctors often move directly from one scheduled appointment to the next, arriving outside of the appointment window can limit what we’re able to safely and fairly accommodate that day. Our team’s recommendation for urgent care or rescheduling was made with your pet’s wellbeing in mind and was never intended to come across as uncaring.
We genuinely value the trust you’ve placed in us over the years and are sorry this visit left you feeling disheartened. 3 months ago Fantastic experience: This was my second time coming to Spencer Springs, the first time was with my chihuahua and the second time was bringing in my other dog that needed not just its nails clip but to clear up a very bad ear infection. He was also due for his rabies shot so I got that as well for my little Maltese Teddy. It was easy to make an appointment and get him in to be looked at and get the best care he deserves. I have much confidence and praise for this place they've been always very professional and very good on the bedside manner when it comes to your pet.

3 months ago Fantastic experience: Really love this vet clinic. Front house staff are nice and helpful and I could not say enough good things about Dr. Wesson. I have been around so many vets in my life but Dr. Wesson is just the best thing to happen to me and my fur babies. He is kind and talks with you like he’s part of the family. He CARES genuinely. They were kind and patient with my spicy attitude kitty and although the tests and treatment was on the expensive side they worked with me on what was actually needed. We live close by and will be back in the future.

5 months ago Negative experience: This used to be a great vet that cared for your pets .for the last few years it’s all about the money. Last time appointment was quoted 250 and gave a $300 dollar shot without any notice of the price . Surprised at $600 bill when told $250.

5 months ago Positive experience: Although I have trusted the care of my 3 fur babies to your care for the past 8 years and have recommended your group to many friends, on my last visit I was surprised when I looked at the bill and found that I was charged $25.00 for a nail trim. 7 months ago Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Dr. Smo on Saturday. I was concerned because I have a feral cat turned house cat with a bump that needed to be looked at. I was worried she would freak out at the vet. But doctor Smo and her assistant were great. They were able to get a biopsy while keeping my cat calm. Everyone in the office was very kind and compassionate. I was very happy and satisfied with the visit. Highly recommend.

7 months ago Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Spencer Springs Veterinarian! Dr. A is the sweetest, most professional, and genuinely caring doctor I’ve ever met. She pays so much attention to my little puppy, Hunter (who just turned one!), and always makes sure we both feel comfortable and cared for. As a new pet owner, I really appreciate her patience and kindness. The front desk staff are also amazing — they’re friendly, helpful, and even when things get busy, they take their time with me. I came to this hospital to say goodbye to my 15-year-old cat, Sookie—one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a level of compassion, professionalism, and genuine empathy that left a lasting impression. The staff treated both me and Sookie with such care and respect. They went above and beyond—not just in their medical care, but in their emotional support. After the procedure, they even gave me a card signed by the entire team, filled with kind words and heartfelt sympathies. That small gesture meant more than they probably know. I have other pets, and without a doubt, I will be returning here with them. The way they helped me through such a difficult moment was nothing short of extraordinary. 8 months ago Fantastic experience: Used to go to them years ago but didn’t have any pets after my last pup for years. I got another pup and was taking her to another vet but decided to come back to Spencer Springs because I believe care is more important to them than other vets who nickel and dime people for what ever they can. The vet I used to go to is within walking distance of my house but I’d rather drive a half hour for the care my pup receives now. In addition, my pup had skin issues that the other vet kept attributing to allergies but to test her it would cost over $300. Spencer Springs took skin swabs right then and there, diagnosed her with a bacterial skin infection and yeast infection and now she’s on meds. The visit, her yearly vaccines, RX’s and swabs cost me less than $300.

8 months ago Fantastic experience: Love the place! They have actual people that answer the phone fairly quickly. They accepted us calling in for an appointment the same day and when we got there it was a very minimal wait. The fact you have the option to register online is nice too but not essential. Once there we had the choice of a few doctors that were available. Ours was absolutely great giving us all available options for our stray cat that we wanted checked. Nothing was pushed on us. Just available suggestions. The doctors assistant was great too... Everyone from reception to check out was awesome at this place. Prices on par with other vets we have been to for our other pets. Also clean facility, not crowded waiting room and plenty of parking at a well located spot.

8 months ago Fantastic experience: Dr. Hohn-Whitt helped us say goodbye to our very special 16-year-old pet, and recently she wecomed our new tiny dog. 8 months ago Fantastic experience: My 11 year old Doberman messed up ihis back legs getting into car and I immediately took him to the vet within minutes of arrival they took him I did X-rays, pain shot and took care of his injury. The entire staff was professional and caring and my dog is happy

9 months ago Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience recently with our baby noodle. He was injured while we were camping and he had quite the infection when we returned back down the mountain we called and Spencer Springs was able to accommodate us right away. We dropped him off and he was cleaned up with x-rays and bloodwork done within a couple of hours, and we had our boy back && he was out of a substantial amount of pain. Thank you team. I appreciated that the staff went above and beyond to make my guy feel safe and welcome. 11 months ago Negative experience: This is one of the worst animal hospitals in Clark county. We spent a lot of money and time there and got no results. During our last visit, a fat lady came in and really scared our cat, Candy with loud voice and attitude. We did find a good pet doctor who took our cats high blood pressure and found out that was one of his major problems and was able to save Candy's eyesight. I recommend Dr. Chad Bowers at Legacy Animal Hospital. He is best in town!

11 months ago Fantastic experience: The pup and I both love it at Spencer Springs and especially love Dr. Hohn! Everyone is friendly, loves animals (you’d think that would be a given, but I’ve seen it), and is excited to see their furry friends. I normally don’t like having the pup out of my sight (labs/bloodworks/etc), but I trust them completely and always get a happy pup returned to me. Dr. Hohn is always kind, patient, and understanding. She explains things throughly while giving options. I appreciate that she gave us conservative measures for elevated numbers in bloodwork but made sure to monitor and told us when she thought we really needed more. We caught it in time to see it was a tumor deep in the liver and have it removed-and we just celebrated one year cancer free for the pup! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Dr. Hohn and the team at Spencer Springs!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: My best friend (my dog) became very ill, very quick. I rushed her to Spencer animal hospital, they are the closest vet to my home. Previously I have taken past pets there about 15 years or so ago and was not really happy with the service they gave, but I had a feeling Oakley (my Dog/ my BFF) was not doing well. So I rushed her to Spencer animal hospital where they gave me the worst news I can get, Oakley is not going to make it. She was in pain and not going to make it regardless of surgery or meds. Everyone (employees) that was there are amazing and just so thoughtful and kind, on one of the worst days of my life they made it possible for me to make that horrible decision. They made sure I was comfortable and that Oakley was too for her passing. It was the best experience of empathy and kindness by the staff that made that day for me to be that much possible to get thru. My pets will know only go and see the staff at Spencer Animal Hospital, they are amazing. So thank you to the staff at Spencer Animal Hospital and the new management team. You guys are amazing and I really can't thank you enough for everything you did for my Oakley and for comforting me in a moment in where I was completely lost. Thank you from my family and from the my ❤️. Thank you for bringing in the light on one of the darkest days of my life.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: My vet recently retired and I didn't care for the changes after she left so I was in search of a new animal hospital/clinic. I live close to Spencer Springs and had somewhat of an emergency so I gave them a try. First impression, making the appointment was great. Caring and genuinely concerned. They got us in right away. The front desk staff were very friendly and put us in a room right away. My 10 year old cat needed some tests. They didn't push any unnecessary tests. The tests are expensive but the prices are very comparable to other clinics. Doctor A called herself and gave the results and options. My kitty had cancer. We did palliative care at home for as long as my kitty could. When it was time I called and they got us right in. Cassie is a great asset there. Very kind. Dr A and her staff were all great with us.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Dr A was wonderful. We only had to wait a few minutes for our appointment. Dr A explained everything and gave us the price of future test snd appointments. Spencer Springs Animal Clinic offers the option of signing up with Care Credit if you need to make payments. I would recommend anyone to go to Spencer Springs Animal vlinuc

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Amber at the front desk goes above and beyond to help out with scheduling your pets. She is very friendly and helpful!! She gave me the recommendation to see Dr. A for my cats. Dr. A is so caring and thorough like I have never experienced before. She loves and cares for your cat like it’s hers! These 2 are a great team and I would highly recommend them!!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: Another visit to Spencer Springs—this time for my Winnie’s monthly allergy shot. We were greeted by the compassionate staff at the desk and treated by the excellent technician. Winnie is as anxious a dog as there has ever been when outside her comfort zone, but the staff at Spencer Springs remains patient and kind with her. We are always grateful!

1 year ago Fantastic experience: This was my first time at Spencer Springs Animal hospital. Amber and Flora at the front desk were very kind and cheerful. Flora came out from behind the desk to greet my dog while we were waiting to get vaccines. I got to go to the back with my dog while he got his vaccines which means I got to meet Dr. A. She was also very kind and tried to take the time to get to know and greet my dog before administering the vaccines. She discussed everything with me and made sure all of my questions were answered. Since my dog is small I decided to not get all of his vaccines the same day, but they are not charging me for another exam at my next visit to finish his vaccines.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: This team loves our dog as much as we do. Dr. Hon is easy to relate to and communicating about your dogs needs. Had to remove several growths, all benign, clean teeth, provided a discount before requested. Complimentary nail care. Easy to schedule open 6 days a week and until 6pm most days.

We were so stressed and worried about Daisy but they provided so much support and got us in quickly so she could be seen right away. 1 year ago Fantastic experience: Lacey is the best! She is compassionate and really cares abouts the animals. My dog, Dude doesn't like people touching him. Lacey took her time and was patient while Dude took his time to warm up to her. Now they are friends! She is the only one I will let bath him.

1 year ago Fantastic experience: After lavender received her shots, I got her home and within an hour she started vomiting. I contact Spencer Spring and they told me to take her to ER when we got to ER. They were waiting for my baby lavender. She was having an allergic reaction to the medication of her shots They were so awesome not only did they make sure my baby was OK but they made sure I was OK as well, I give them a five star staffing, Spencer Spring, as well as the ER for beyond helpful. I would recommend you take your fur babies there on any day.
