Fantastic experience: Absolutely LOVE Huron Animal Hospital. The staff is wonderful and Dr. Seifert was incredible with my pup, who is very timid and scared at the vet. She took time to connect with Peach, was very gentle and playful with her and put her at ease. Dr. Seifert answered all my questions and was not rushed. I have all 4 of my pets there and have been happy with all visits. I definitely recommend HAA to anyone in need of veterinary services/

Fantastic experience: I found that my experience was way awesome with Dr. Grossinger! She and Dr. Heller don't try to push certain food brands on my dog, Baby, when she's pretty sensitive to most. They give me ideas on how to make her diet better, not condemn me for her sensitive system. Y'all are great!!!

Fantastic experience: My little Yorkie girl suddenly developed a horrible honking cough, like she had something stuck in her throat and she could not cough it up and at times could not catch her breath. Huron Animal Hospital got me in same day and we saw Dr. Seiffert. The tech immediately took her into the back to give her some oxygen to help her breathe better. They asked if they could take an x-ray and I said of course! The vet came back and said that she has a collapsed trachea. That’s why she’s fighting for her breath.. We talked about several options, starting with surgery to managing comfort care in the interim. The vet even called down to the specialty wheat Ridge Hospital to get more information about doing a tracheal stent. I Just appreciate the straight talk and helping to come up with options and solutions. My Yorkie is doing OK with the medications Dr Seiffert sent us home with. Ijust have to keep her calm until I can determine the best surgery solution and where to get it done. It is just very comforting to have a partner with Huron Animal Hospital as I go through some tough And costlydecision-making. When I paid my bill before I left, I was pleasantly surprised as it was Very reasonable. I have a new vet now! Thanks, Huron Animal Hospital and Dr. Seiffert!

Fantastic experience: I have two dogs that are clients, my mother's cat and my sister's cat and dog are also clients. The Huron animal hospital has given all of our pets excellent care.

Negative experience: $430 for a neuter is ridiculous especially when it cost the vet clinic around $100-$150 with anesthesia and supplies CSI Spur only charges $165

Fantastic experience: Affordable, caring professionals. They had a room just for kitties that had a few cat-friendly spots. Neither of my cats were interested in the scratcher or climbing spots today but one cat loved hiding in the bedroom below the exam table!

Negative experience: This is by far the dirtiest vet clinic I’ve ever been to. The staff were nice but it looked like they hadn’t cleaned the room in years. I was grossed out just to sit down. There was dirt and dust everywhere. The exam table for the pets was filthy.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Grossinger has taken care of all three of my cats over the years, from adoption as kittens to approaching the Rainbow Bridge. I have total confidence in her judgement. She's been great with the kitties and a very nice person besides.

Fantastic experience: They are all kind and love the animals so much. They took the time to talk to me and showed my dog the love and respect she deserves

Negative experience: If I could give them zero I would. They killed both our dogs. One because they missed diagnosed her told us it was a cyst and wasted months while the tumor spread and turned into lymphoma. The other because they botched her surgery to remove a lipoma and BLINDED HER AND GAVE HER BRAIN DAMAGE and we had to put her down at 1130 last night when she started seizing. She was completely fine before the surgery. I called to talk to them about it. I didn’t even get a sorry. Just we will call you back and of course they didn’t. I will be reporting them to the licensing board.UPDATE. I did talk to a doctor there on 12/22 so this is just another lie to cover up what you did to my dogs.

Negative experience: Honestly the hospital itself has dark energy or something. The techs are extremely nice and helpful always willing to be heard but when it comes to a few doctors it seems like you’re being judged and being made fun of for concerns with your own babies. “Not sure what’s going on, let’s try these meds” Which are INSANELY PRICED. As for management I’ve never talked to such a rude and condescending person. Gives you the run around for BS excuses!!! My toddler has more passion than her. It seems like the hospital cares only about their money and not their actual clientele. Very overpriced for what they offer.

Fantastic experience: New puppy exam, our seventh dog Huron will take of! ! Love them they take their time with my pets, answer all question! My puppy Fish liked them too! .

Negative experience: Took my cat in due to change in appetite and vomiting for 3 weeks. Doc was more concerned with the condition of his teeth. Took and X-ray I requested an and US. Doc said not necessary due to X-ray clear. Took cat to Urgent Care next day. UC did US and showed serious problem in intestines. Placed on treatment plan. This would have been missed had I not pursued my baby's problem. The "doc' needs to listen to pet parent and not dismiss parent's concerns. I do not recommend this clinic. This doc needs experience but he's not going to practice on my baby!!!

Fantastic experience: I love this clinic. I originally used it as a back up when my regular vet couldn’t do something but I switched full time a few years ago. I’ve never had anything bad happen, staff has always been friendly, explains everything, makes life as simple as possible. The most important to me, they are kind and provide great care.

Negative experience: Had an appointment with “Dr.” Jake Anichoswki and I was very unpleased. Took both of my cats one for vaccines and one due to his eye being swollen and tearing. One of my cat had the parasite medicine which he then started to foam from his mouth I got immediately worried and the “DR” jumped into google and started googling why that was happening That was completely unacceptable how are you a professional depending on google? Why am I paying for a service that google is going to answer. They just hire anybody at that clinic. About my other cats eye he told me it was too soon to know what’s going on and he couldn’t tell yet. What’s the point of that “DR” there??

Negative experience: On 11/25/25, I had a BD/LD incident in my house hold, our little one had severe head trauma. Huron animal hospital was the only vet open within 10 minutes. We arrived with our little pup at 5:20pm and the doors were locked, cars still outside, lights on. When their hours are from 8-6… we were able to get her to another clinic but our little one didn’t make it that night. Very disappointed in Huron animal hospital for locking the doors just because all appointments that day were done… like what if someone’s pet needed medical assistance like mine. I realize they were close to “closing” but there was still 40 minutes left. This is unacceptable!

Fantastic experience: They were great! It was our first time taking our cat over there and they were very attentive. We decided that we will continue taking our Daisy to Huron

Negative experience: Don't ever bring your animals here they are money hungry don't know what they are doing bring my cat in she have hard time eating and they charge me over 1000 dollars just to tell me nothing wrong as I watching my friend die in front of my eyes scammer close this place.

Negative experience: I had appointment in there yesterday for my dog at 2:30 receptionist she had glasses on and I thought she was kind of rude so I told her that we had appointment at 2:30 so was that empty when people were walking in they took them right away they could at least came out said we're going to be a little late my way to tell almost 3:00 but they didn't have a problem taking $300 for me

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Welling! My animals are my babies and she totally gets that. She is kind, caring, and takes time to listen to concerns. She goes slow with my nervous pets and builds such trust. When you find someone you trust as much as I trust her, there is no going somewhere else!

From the intake staff to the vet , I had a comfortable experience. They are kind , compassionate, knowledgeable and very helpful. Above and beyond. His vet Dr. Seifert is just amazing. She is detailed in every aspect. She even took the time to include links for special meds , diets and sughestions after Gizmo was diagnosed with heart and kidney disease She returned my call the same day . Positive experience: My visit with the doctors so far has been great! I transferred two of my four dogs over to Huron Animal Hospital because I heard they were good and a little less expensive than the vet I was using. However, I had an emergency Yesterday and I called and told them that my dog was bleeding and I couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. They told me to come in, so I came right in. I waited for over an hour in the waiting room while my dog was bleeding very badly! After that, the doctor that saw said he thought it could be a vein or an artery that might be causing the bleeding, so they sent me to an emergency room. It wasn’t a vein and it wasn’t an artery, but the emergency room fixed him up! The nurse who assisted the doctor was very rude and very uncaring to my situation, I had to ask her to help me because I couldn’t walk with the dog and carry my purse and hold the towel on my dog’s neck all at the same time, she stood there and just watched me until I asked her if she could help! The doctor visits that I had to get one of my dogs neutered and caught up on all of his shots was wonderful. The doctor visit that I had with my other dog to get up-to-date on all of her shots was wonderful. But the emergency visit was anything, but! Just a quick update, one of my normal scheduled vet visits. I needed to put one of my dogs on medication, she had a slight cut on her face that the vet thought might be infected, the pill bottle said there were seven pills in the bottle, However, Huron Animal Hospital, conveniently, only put four pills in the bottle, shorting me three pills! Now tell me how Do you make a mistake in counting out seven pills? Therefore, in my opinion, it was not a mistake! You figure if they short each person on their medication by one or more pill pills, they make more money! Again, I do not recommend this veterinarian hospital! They are absolutely terrible!

Fantastic experience: Emergency broken nail on my Japanese Chin. I didn't call ahead as when I got home and saw him not using his front leg at 3:40 on a Wednesday afternoon. Upon arrival we were seen within 5 minutes. They worked on his nail and we were done by 4:40pm. Pup was treated with so much love and concern. I couldn't be happier. I have used Huron Animal Clinic since 1969!

Fantastic experience: I brought my dog here for an emergency. We had just moved to the area and so had no idea where to go or what to expect. They not only saved her and helped her, but the cost was so reasonable. I am really grateful that this ended up being the animal hospital we brought her to. Would recommend them to anyone in the area! Will be going back as my primary vet now.

Positive experience: Friendly service to me and my pet. All staff was super sweet to my pet, good explanation of pet's treatment, took their time with me, love that they accept walk-in appointments, thought price was high, but appreciate that I can always walk in if I feel my pet needs to be seen. $250 for appointment, IV fluid under the skin, anti-vomiting injection, 2 days of anti-vomit meds, bland diet recipe. Gave me peace of mind though. I've now walked in with both my dogs. Will be returning. Update a year later: still going here. I get a discount email every now and then so I appreciate saving at times.

Fantastic experience: The doctor knew just what to do to correct the problem with our dog. All the medication was readily available right there at the hospital. Our dog had his follow up appointment an is doing just great. The staff are all really friendly, professional and great to work with.

Fantastic experience: This has been my family’s Vet for decades. They’ve always had great things to say about it the other day my kitten Chloe was limping, so I immediately took her there. I was met with the most compassionate front desk staff the most amazing Vet tech and the Vet almost knew exactly what was wrong. Treated my kitten with compassion and a caring heart The price was extremely reasonable and I’m a lifelong member now.

Fantastic experience: Dr welling is the best!!! The entire staff is kind and friendly and don’t ever push anything on me, I feel like they care about my baby as much as I do. I won’t ever go anywhere else. I love that I can text the staff and get fast response.

Negative experience: Let me be honest. I went in with my pup. I told them I only had $600 right now and I need help. My dog wasn't eating and she had thrown up two times with runny stools. I was worried. They did an exam, an iv for fluids and low potassium, gave her antibiotics and quoted me for a dental cleaning. They threw in dog food she would not eat and yes I had to pay for all but 1 can out of 3. They took all the money I had and did not give me a diagnosis. I gave her the antibiotics and she is not better. She will not eat the anything and she is no better. I am also out of money. I emailed to let them know what was going on and someone responded stating they would give my message to the Doctor. Two days and no one has called me or emailed, I guess I am on my own. I told them I have stage four cancer and that is the reason I am financially struggling. I told them I need my pup . You can determine for yourself if you would like to go here. The people are kind and welcoming and the facility is clean. I did not have a horrible visit. As I stated, I have no diagnosis or clue as to why my pup isn't eating and even though I called with questions and concerns when she would not eat still, no one bothered to call me back after confirming they received my message. It really sucks that I paid $560 and my pup is not even a little bit better. I dont know what wrong with her. I have no prognosis. Plus Idk why we gave her two antibiotics. I asked if it was potentially her teeth causing the issues and I was told no not with the vomiting. That's all I got. I feel like that is highly unfair after spending that much I dont know if she forgot to give me a prognosis or anything but I am disappointed in the information I did not receive.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency with my 7 pound Chihuahua, he thinks he weighs about 107 pound, and he's very regal. He was scared, and as you can imagine, he was not going to put up with anybody touching him. Eventually, the vet veterinarian, and the assistant got the muzzle on him, but it was like wrestling an alligator. They were patient kind and determined, and did not give up. Another thing because my Chihuahua is so volatile his nails do not get clipped the way they should, and although the veterinarian was upset with me that his nails had grown so long, she was completely respectful and professional at the same time being direct. I very much admired her and all the staff they were all pleasant. Got him in right away and you could see that they really care about animals. If you're thinking of visiting the vet veterinarian hospital I would 100% Recommended.

Negative experience: My dog had severed the webbing between 2 toes, wanted to charge me for blood work, iv fluid, and a whole bunch of unnessacary stuff that wasnt needed to do stitches. $800.00 to do stitches. Charged 75 just to look at it and say he needed stitches, obviously. Highway robbery saying it was nessacary to check his liver and kidney functions for stitches. What does that have to do with stitches? Went to my daughter's vet and was charged 310. Pain meds, stitches, the cone of shame antibiotics and sedation with the reversal as well.. I feel like Huron Animal cares more about their pocket book than the animals in need.

Fantastic experience: Being able to walk in and be seen so quickly and be able to walk out with medication and knowing my baby is gonna be ok was amazing thank yous once again my Dallas is feeling alot better

I took my own cat here and it was a super good experience. I was very worried about how he'd react but he was good and the doctor made sure he was comfortable! He loves Churu's now LOL.

Fantastic experience: Perfect appointment!! We got in at our scheduled time and the Veterinarian, I think his name is Dr Jake, gave my Rocky an allergy shot that so far has brought major relief! Rocky has been a patient there for going on ten years, we trust Huron Animal Hospital 100%

Dr. Welling was so amazing to my sweet Simba cat and literally answered my questions that weren’t enjoy answered anywhere else. She was so so so great and would absolutely recommend her!

Fantastic experience: August 2025: I’m editing my review because Google only allows me to make one but ANOTHER 5 stars for Huron Animal Hospital. I called on Thursday afternoon to ask what to do about my dog’s swollen rectum. The representative on the phone told me her thoughts based on my description and scheduled me for the next day to get Houdini in to be examined at 3pm. Worst case scenario happened and Houdini’s anal gland abscess ruptured at midnight and was bleeding - traumatic for us both. I scheduled a new appointment at 8:20am that morning, showed up at 8, and they got us in, examined, treated, and out the door in 45 minutes. Dr. Welling was so caring and helpful to ease both my and the dog’s anxiety. I have never loved a vet more. Affordable, direct, and excellent care. THANK YOU ALL AT HURON ANIMAL HOSPITAL! May 2024: We just moved to the area and were looking for a new vet for our senior hound. Made an appointment that we ended up cancelling because of a snow storm but the clinic was so communicative leading up to the storm, providing lots of flexibility to cancel or reschedule. I ended up just choosing to walk in with my dog for a wellness exam, updated vaccines, and a nail trim (our hound refuses to let anyone touch his paws and have had previous vets like VCA turn us away even with sedatives because they told us he thrashes too much to safely trim). Popped in on a Friday morning and barely had a wait (maybe ~15 minutes) before a wonderful tech took us back and got to know our dog. Tons of space in the waiting area for different kinds of dogs and a cute little spring photo shoot area! They even let us go back with them to do blood tests to keep him calm and cooperative which was a really nice touch I haven’t ever experienced at a vet before. Dr. Grossinger was so friendly with us and our dog and explained her recommendations and treatment. She asked thoughtful questions about his diet and history. At the end of our exam, the techs were able to trim his nails within a quick 5 minutes, with no sedatives and seemingly little stress on our dog. Check out was quick and considerably affordable for what we got done. Overall, a 10/10 experience and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was so helpful and caring, my brothers dog is very protective of me and always on guard, they did as much as he would let him. What a great team.

Fantastic experience: I took a stray kitty and who had an injured ear and they treated him very nice and gave him some antibiotics and some anti-inflammatories. And they help me find that he was chipped and I was able to reconnect him to his family that had been missing him for two years!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I love this animal hospital. I've seen several providers. All of them knowledgeable and to the point. The front staff are AMAZING, kind and helpful. Really glad we switched to this team.

Negative experience: We have gone here for 17+ years and will be going elsewhere. My dog had his teeth cleaned, they do not use a seizure protectant, like the 2 other times they have put him under). Within 8 hours of bringing him home, he was having seizures. The vet that saw him, would tell us one treatment and come back with something else. He had no idea what he was doing. Eventually he gave us a prescription that isn’t available, he didn’t know where to get it, or the cost. We went on a week me goose chase to find it. He mentioned chewys, which took a week to approve. While my dog was having seizures. We requested three times in voicemail because the office wasn’t picking up for the prescription to be changed. Eventually, we just went down To the office where we were promised that the prescription would be emailed and sent over to the pharmacy. I went to fill the prescription and it had not been transferred. Luckily, the pharmacy technician was able to get somebody on the phone for the first time in the day. This office failed our pet. I have gotten other follow up emails and phone calls on previous services, but none this time. Convenient timing.

Fantastic experience: Friendly service, and I could tell the physicians and doctors really love animals and helped my pup feel comfortable for her first visit. Not only did they answer all my questions, but they didn't pressure me to come back sooner than needed or try to sell me on products they had in store. Great option, a little less than 200$ for her wellness exam, flea and tick examination, and an anal gland squeeze

Positive experience: Always have a good experience here. Have been going to the same place since 1977, so they have seen plenty of my babies over the years. I wish they were open on Saturdays, or every other Saturday, that would help a lot. The prices have gone up quite a bit, but so has everything else.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Tyler and her Vet Tech were very kind. And thoroughly reviewed my dogs condition. She was very knowledgeable in explaining what was going on with our pet. Our Dog Daisy was so comfortable in the exam room that she feel asleep while waiting to be seen by the Dr. We will definitely go back. Much better experience than that of our previous Vet.

Fantastic experience: Always have such good people taking care of my pets. I had our old baby at banfield for a while, also tried VCA and another place to find a regular vet. It always felt so rushed and impersonal. At Huron they show they care, though they might be very busy at times, they've made it feel more comfortable for me and my pets.

Fantastic experience: Office girls are very friendly and helpful. My cat had dental surgery and she was treated very good vet called the next day to see how she was doing.

Negative experience: With Doctor Heller gone, you should forget about bringing your dog or cat to them.People they have walk-ins with 3 hour weights.When no one is in the office, the front desk is rude.I have been going there for 35 years.And I will never return and they didn't care either

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for several years. I currently have my service dog there and Dr Welling is stellar. The last visit was easy peasy, their records are always up to date and accurate. Wellness check, vaccines, in and out in a flash. My 4-year-old boy it's quite healthy.

Positive experience: I brought my dog in after she had a severe allergic reaction, and thankfully they saw her right away. The vet and assistant were good with her and took great care of her. Everything was done efficiently and professionally, and I’m truly grateful she was treated so quickly and with competence. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, but you can tell by how busy they are that they forget to be friendly. There’s a bit of coldness—not mean or rude, just not warm or inviting—which was especially noticeable from the front desk staff. They didn’t really acknowledge the animals coming in, which felt a little off for an animal hospital. I get that they were overwhelmed, and I’m not complaining—just noting it, especially because people often come in scared or feeling like terrible dog owners. It’s nice to feel reassured and validated in moments like that, but when I expressed some concerns, I was met with rushed answers, and a few things were brushed off or ignored. Still, I’m thankful for the care my dog received and would return if needed. A little more warmth would go a long way.

Fantastic experience: They have been my vets for probably 30 years. They have always been wonderful with my pets- dogs,cats ferrets.. Throughout all their health issues. Great group of ves.. .y animals love Dr. Grossinger, Dr Paula Welling and Dr Rick Heller.

Fantastic experience: Dr Petty was absolutely wonderful!! He did a very thorough job of examining my pup & an excellent explanation of the medication he was prescribing for her. Great job!!

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my pets here for years and have never had a bad experience. We have seen many different Doctors and they all have been great. I'm sad to see Dr Heller go but I know my pets will still be in good hands.
