Fantastic experience: I want to take the time to set a very standard review for this location! The staff is all generous, understanding, patient, & knowledgeable. The prices are high, and that is the ONLY reason we had to change location; I could no longer keep up as an owner here. The prices are high for very well reason too! I just want to thank the team, this was my first vet as a first time owner, & I am very thankful:). Best wishes to you guys, the cats loved you all.

Fantastic experience: The Highlands location was fantastic. Every member of the staff did a great job making my dog and I comfortable in a new environment. I feel like the pricing wasn’t too high and they made sure I understood every part of the process. I am truly overwhelmed by the positive experience. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Fantastic experience: Moose had the best time at Sploot! He thought he was on an adventure, not at the vets. He enjoyed the tennis ball and treats in the back room while we waited for the vet. He even whined and laid by the door when our vet tech, Quinn, left the room. He enjoyed all the attention and can’t wait to go back!

Negative experience: I don't know if I could recomment this vet. On one hand, the care was excellent—the staff was professional and they did a great job with my dog Samantha’s torn nail. She is comfortable and the nail looks great. On the other hand, I found the pricing to be excessive. I paid $352 for what essentially amounted to a medical nail trim and an extra $75 test. While I accepted the quote beforehand because I was worried about my dog, I came home to realize she just needed a nail trim. She took the bandage off—which is my fault because I didn't put her cone on—however, it allowed me to look at her paw and see what she needed. Honestly, I feel the cost was way too high for that service. I believe it's possible to provide great quality care without being this expensive. Paying between $150–$200 would have been expensive enough; looking at the final numbers, $352 seems very excessive

Fantastic experience: I have been multiple times for both of my cats. The staff and doctors are always incredible and friendly taking care of my pets and the humans too! You can really tell that they have a huge love for animals! My go to for vets in the area, without a doubt.

Fantastic experience: I lovvvve Sploot! I’ve been to a few different vets in the Denver area for my dogs & cats but both the Highlands/Commons Park Sploot locations have gone above & beyond. Great communication, caring/attentive staff, always do a follow up, and are fairly priced which is very much appreciated and valued. Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough positive things! We started taking our large dog here this year and I don't plan on going anywhere else. The staff is outstanding, the facility is clean, communication is great, and reasonably priced. They treated us and our girl with kindness and respect, and for that I can’t be more grateful.

Fantastic experience: have always had great experiences with Sploot staff. I was a little nervous going to a new location (Highland) because I have gotten so comfortable with the Central Park location. When I met with the vet, he had read through my pups history before our appointment so he was prepared to talk through everything ahead of time. I recommend Sploot to my friends and family and I give 5 stars gladly.

Negative experience: Hey Sploot Team, I’m writing after what has been an incredibly frustrating and upsetting experience following my cat Piper’s recent dental surgery. Piper had three teeth extracted, and from the start I felt uneasy due to repeated comments from staff about how much they dislike or avoid cat dental procedures. While I understand surgeries can be complex, hearing that from multiple people did not inspire confidence—especially when my cat’s health was at stake. Post-op, Piper was sent home in a hard plastic cone for 10 days, which I replaced with a soft cone at my own expense. At her first follow-up, I was told one extraction site showed delayed healing and she was placed on antibiotics. At the second follow-up—with a different doctor—I was told there was dead tissue covering the site and that the antibiotics “didn’t work.” At that point, I was given two options: -Sedate Piper twice daily and personally flush the extraction site with saline and prescription mouthwash, or -Pay $450 for a corrective procedure under anesthesia. As someone who lives alone and has two herniated discs, I made it clear that attempting to restrain my cat and flush her surgical site was not safe or realistic—for either of us. I was still encouraged to try. I was also told I could purchase the prescription mouthwash at a pet supply store, which turned out to be incorrect. After I shared detailed concerns and receipts outlining how unprofessional and unsettling this entire experience had been, I was then offered the option to return and be seen by a doctor who has experience in cat dental procedures. However, this offer did not acknowledge the more serious issue—that the original care failed to properly assess whether Piper was healing at all, resulting in ongoing infection and delayed treatment. I attempted the at-home care as instructed. The gabapentin was ineffective, my cat was distressed, and my back pain worsened. I communicated again that this approach was not sustainable and requested to move forward with the corrective procedure. From there, communication stalled. I was repeatedly told the doctors needed to “review the case” or decide if they would “take it,” while I continued to wait with a cat who was not healing. Ultimately, I sought care elsewhere. A different veterinary hospital examined Piper and confirmed that two of the extraction sites were infected. She was immediately placed back on antibiotics, and we are now monitoring whether she will need yet another surgery. What’s most troubling is that I was advised to stop antibiotics and perform manual cleaning while an active infection was present. I also want to note that one early interaction with a receptionist was particularly distressing—confusing, dismissive, and not informed by Piper’s medical records. In contrast, another receptionist later in the process handled my concerns with compassion and professionalism, and I appreciate that. I’ve been a Sploot client for three years, and I’m truly shocked by how disjointed, inconsistent, and unsafe this experience felt. I’ve since moved Piper’s care to another clinic where she is finally receiving clear, proactive treatment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously—not just for me, but for other pet owners who trust your team with their animals. — Nicole

Fantastic experience: My dog is very nervous at the vet, much less a brand new vet. But the entire team was so sweet and patient with her! This office is so great and their genuine care was so valued!

The post-appointment summary follow up email was also much appreciated! Dr. Michelle Prayson was fantastic; patient and answered all our questions, just all around a wonderful experience. While there are a few closer Sploot locations to where we live, this one’s going to remain our primary for regular visits for sure ☺️

Fantastic experience: Have been taking my cats and dog to Sploot Highlands for a few years now and have been pleased with the availability and ease of booking appointments, as well as the care they’ve received over the years. The electronic record keeping and the app make keeping on top of vaccines, prescriptions, appointments, and medical records easy.

Fantastic experience: They are an incredible vet team who always takes the extra time to make sure they answer any of my questions around my dog. They make booking easy with an online app, always quick to deliver invoices and can help with anything you may need to show the insurance company. They are so kind and my dog absolutely loves going to vet! He literally get so excited when we get there! There is also a parking garage that you can park in, so convenient. Highly recommend going to Sploot in the highlands

Fantastic experience: Dr. Berns and her team did a fantastic job with my sweet anxious fur baby! They were so kind and considerate and took my suggestions in dealing with my difficult/squirmy dog and everything went great! The best vet visit I’ve ever had with my 9 yr old girl! They were also very efficient and informative about all of my options and explained everything so I could make informed decisions. Everyone’s bubbly and sweet personality really rubs off and it definitely made a difference during the whole appointment! Cocoa and I thank you guys!!! Update: 1/3/25- the team is still THE BEST!!!! Everyone (especially Annika) was so kind and patient with my scared girl and they were even able to cut ALL of her nails without being sedated….for the first time….ever…..in 9 years!!! I was so happy I almost cried!!!!! 10/10-highly recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: I brought in my cat a couple months ago due to an infection, I was so worried about her and I was scared that I would not be able to afford it but they ensured that mimi would be okay and they also worked with me on the price. Super friendly and clean would definitely recommend this place!!

Fantastic experience: Can’t believe we could get an appointment in Xmas day when we realized our cat had a weird (not urgent, skin thing going on)! The vet, nurse, and staff person were all fantastic! And fine with our cat jumping on the top cabinet and the vet got a ladder to get him down. The vet and nurse weren’t knowledgeable and took all the time we needed. We didn’t feel at all rushed! So kind to our cat and us!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience here. I love the front desk lady. I forgot her name but she was so kind and it felt refreshing to see how up beat she was. The vet was super straight forward and knew exactly what she was doing. Explained everything very clearly and my cat only got a couple vaccines, but they were reasonably priced. I really enjoyed the 89 dollar deposit thing so I only had to pay about $100 for two vaccinations. I don't have pet insurance and I was thinking it was going to be a few hundred at least. I was pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend this place. They will treat your pet with the upmost care ❤️

Fantastic experience: Everyone from the receptionist, the techs and doctor took such good care of my Ginger girl! I’m usually wary of chain vets, but Sploot has completely changed my perception on this. I knew we were in good hands from the moment we walked in and interacted with the receptionist. Fantastic experience: We had yet another great experience with our dog Ripley a week or two ago! Angel K was very thorough in her explanations [and honestly just so easy to talk to] and the dr we spoke with Matt S was SO cheerful, communicative, and took away some of our anxiety about a future visit. Finally, Hannah with reception was the BEST. Our girl is fear reactive and Hannah [more than once!] has helped get us either into a room or communicating when the lobby empties out; truly makes my least part of the visit so much more positive.

Fantastic experience: We have loved coming to the Sploot Highland location over the last 6 years! Angel was wonderful with our puppy, Lemmy, when we brought him in for a general wellness check today. Fantastic experience: Cannot overstate my gratitude to the team on Sunday November, 2. Specifically, Dr. Lenahen, Anika, and Francesca. If one of those names was not the front desk/admin staff - they deserve the five stars as well. Pepper had a gnarly slice (laceration, according to the visit summary) on Sunday morning from an unknown cause. I had never seen something like it. Pepper was bleeding, peeing, and crying (me too). We drove to Sploot immediately and I hadn't even had a chance to call. I could not compose myself enough to describe the situation. Understanding that, the front desk staff (whose name I never got) immediately got a nurse to quickly examine Pepper before we were escorted to a private room. In less than ten minutes, we had a water to help collect ourselves and Dr. Lenahen calmly explaining the situation and treatment plan. Our expectations were set, and before I even got home, I had a text asking how my wife and I were doing and that Pepper was ok. I got text updates ; "Pepper sedated", "Dr. Lenahen inspecting wound", "wrapping up". When I got the news from Dr. Lenahen that Pepper was ok, but needed an hour to be observed, I couldn't believe that I felt comfortable enough to not knock down the door. After I picked her up, the recovery was explained clearly and my questions were quickly answered about medications and side effects during the following days. I don't know if it really was an emergency. It could have been routine and just another day in the office. I felt, and surely showed, like it was an emergency. The pros that were working on Sunday have left it a mystery, and I'm really thankful for that. The experience I had was top notch. Whether to training, or hiring the type of people who treat people/pets this way, I would recommend Sploot. One note, I've noticed that there seems to be some decent turnover at this location. While all of my experiences at Sploot have been great (over two years), I don't seem to have the same team for more than two visits. I would encourage management to explore ways to retain these wonderful people. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: The staff and employees of Sploot are super caring about your pet first and you. They are knowledgeable and kind and patient with you and explain everything that is going on and will happen. I have every trust in my local Sploot. They have seen my pups and me on a regular basis, through no fault of anyone. They are genuinely caring and concerned about you and your fur babies.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience with Anika and Dr. Lenahen. Spay surgery went smoothly and recovery was great. Love than they have laparoscopic options for surgeries. And our pup did well coming home the same day.

Fantastic experience: This is by far my fave vet I’ve ever been to. Denver has a lot of places you can care for pets and sploot highlands is the place to go. They’re not only knowledgeable but they definitely care and you can tell.

Negative experience: Totally failed to disclose in any way that they are a CASHLESS business. I only discovered this by the decals on the front door when I arrived for my dog's appointment. They also to told me that to cancel an appointment, there would be an $85 cancelation fee.

Fantastic experience: Lynn and Dr. Stein were great with my Mutt pup today. They were attentative, made sure to ask if I had questions, were gentle with Muttly, and did great with explaining the pros and cons of getting her on medication.

Fantastic experience: Angel K and Michelle did the impossible and got a stick lodged between my dog’s teeth in the back of his mouth without any sedation. Saved me a lot of money and they took great care of my dog! Also they are open 7 days a week which saved us. Thanks Sploot!

And specific shout-out: I have two cats who both adore Angel K. She somehow manages to trim and pill and handle them-- and make them behave like little angels when I would get cut to ribbons doing the same thing. We'll follow Angel wherever she goes; she's earned my cats' loyalty and thus mine.

Dr. Steine was so kind, knowledgeable, and took the time to talk through all concerns I had about my cat Leia. He cared about her and I left feeling so appreciative and informed!! Fantastic experience: We were a little hesitant on our visit since we’ve been having a hard time finding a new vet. And this team was great! Cheyenne and Dr. V were very sweet with Arlo and gave her a lot of affirmation for doing so well. This was the first vet appt she has had in years that she didn’t pee or poop herself from being scared. Everyone from checkin to the appointment were very kind, calm, and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Sploot takes the best care of our puppy Chai and she absolutely loves going to the vet now! We got all her vaccines there and recently took her in for stomach issues. They were very thorough and friendly, especially Kamdon! Chai’s favorite ball is her Sploot red ball.

Fantastic experience: We are very lucky to live near a vet like this. I don’t have enough good things to say about them. Attentive, caring, great communication from start to finish. Amazing human beings. Brought two of my three cats in today and was helped by Marissa, Angel K, and the doctor whose name regrettably eludes me. 10/10 will always bring my present and future pets here for as long as they stay open.

Fantastic experience: Was a little nervous about my lil guys 1st visit. The staff was awesome and Felix was back to his rambunctious self within minutes of being home. Wonderful experience all around, highly recommended.

Negative experience: For the love of god, stop sending emails! Especially when you have been informed by email that the pet is no longer with us and all it does every time an email is received is bring up negative memories! I have marked the emails as junk, unsubscribed, and sent emails asking you to stop. Just stop! My other vet stopped, don't know why Sploot can't! Hell, I don't even live in the country anymore so there's no chance of ever using your company again. Just go away. You guys are so obnoxious. If anyone wants a BETTER VET, go to Indian Tree Animal Hospital. The service is significantly better and so are the prices. They helped my cat when she was sick when Sploot didn't do a damn thing except send us in circles and make appointments for us that they couldn't even do anything during all while offering a half assed apology for staff that clearly needed more training. I do not recommend Sploot and have been advising anyone who cares about their pet to stay far away from them. I tried keeping the peace, but they won't let me have mine.

Fantastic experience: Chelsey G. Was so kind to me and my Doggo went in for emergency visit and when we came back for a checkup, she greeted us both so kindly and excited to see us both. my Doggo was doing much better. I have a Frenchie her name is Murphy and she’s like a sour patch kid when it comes to the vet. Chelsey has been very patient with us and I am very thankful for her!

Fantastic experience: Me and my 12-year-old rescue had a surprise visit to Sploot today. While in the neighborhood, my babe got into some grass burs, which quickly locked into her face fur. We were both stressed and scared about her eye and every person who engaged with us, including the folks at the front desk, the techs and the vet, were all wonderfully kind and compassionate to both of us. They quickly, but with attention and care, got her slight sedation and treatment. She is now recovering, safe n sound, thanks to the team at Sploot.

Fantastic experience: My kitties received amazing care from Sploot Vets. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They were patient with my scared kittens. Kamdon was especially fantastic and sweet. He also was great at answering any lingering questions I had. I will go back!

After dealing with some not so great past vet experiences I reached out to Sploot to take care of a very worrisome problem and they took care of Maggie like she was their own. Fantastic experience: Our dog was being super itchy (due to skin and allergy issues :( ) and we had to bring him in. Our dog had a great time with Kandon as we checked in. Fantastic experience: Our experience at Sploot Highlands was one of the best vet visits to date! We recently moved to Colorado & wanted to find a caring vet for our almost 10 year old goldendoodle. Dr. Prayson & Yesica absolutely blew me away with their warm welcome & showed our pup such a sweet level of kindness & gentleness. We will definitely use Sploot moving forward!

Negative experience: Cheap vet care is not the option. When I had to put my dog down at a moments notice , I showed up and was out in a room. Zero sympathy from the front desk. I was asked to weigh him, even though he couldn’t stand up, for “”crematorial cost reason.” They could have done this in the back when they set his IV. The tech that came in at 11:16 had the nasty to ask who his normal vet was, if he was on medications, etc. This has no bearing on putting a dog down. Then, I had to fill out paperwork, which she lost, and had to redo. Finally, 35 mins later, the vet came in. ZERO bedside manner at all. Period. She immediately hooked up syringes and I said “wait what are you doing!” She then informed me the propfol would make him go to sleep, then inject him with medicine that would stop his heart. There was no telling me first, no compassion, just as if she was doing a routine check up. As he was being injected he cried so loudly, and she just said “this happens it’s probably cold.” That’s my last memory of my living dog. Fast forward to a week later, I had to call and see where his ashes were. They said “oh yes, I’m sorry they are here you can come pick them up.” Really? So I go. I’m handed his ashes in a blue bag with a death certificate and told “thank you? Have a good night”. No card, no sympathy, nothing. Avoid this place. It’s literally a place that’s is focused on revenue, not compassion. Urban Vet Care is 20000000 times better.

Fantastic experience: Our cat is getting older and has not been feeling well. We made a last minute Sunday appointment with Sploot in Highlands location. Both the assistant Angel and Doctor took good information from our cat that is not nice to people outside our family. They are very helpful and looking forward to our test results with next steps. Spotted a few issues on hand and we changed those situations from their expert advice immediately. Thanks Sploot everyone we encountered was professional and friendly. Price is not low but not high either just an average range. We signed up for their membership it seemed wise with an aging pet. Lots of perks in that package.

Fantastic experience: Very kind and helpful staff that made our pup as comfortable as he could be while checking out his fractured molar. We'll be back for his surgery, which unfortunately isn't for another 1.5weeks, but they gave him pain meds in the meantime. The facility was nice as well

Fantastic experience: We love Sploot! We have been taking our dog to the Highlands location since we moved to CO. The staff are always so professional, kind and thorough. And, my experience today was no exception! I took my dog in for an irritation on one of his paws. We were assisted by Chelsey G. Chelsey was so patient and took time to thoroughly answer all of my questions and was so loving towards my dog - her kindness and attentiveness definitely put him at ease. I cannot recommend Sploots enough!

Fantastic experience: Front staff, nurses and doctors are all amazing. Took the time to go through everything w me. Incredibly kind to not only me, but also my nervous pup. He had a bad experience years ago elsewhere and is now stressed and not the easiest to examine or clip nails…the medical staff here were patient and sweet to him. Thank you, very glad you’re in the neighborhood. We’ve been coming here as annual check ups and vax but this was the first time we needed them for a check in beyond the annual.

Fantastic experience: Chelsea G. and Dr. Mattie Newman are my heroes. We brought our 12 year old senior dog, Leroy, because he has 2 masses under his leg and cried while eating the past few days. I was distraught and feared the worse, losing Leroy. They thoroughly and gently assessed Leroy's conditions providing solutions to his long-term health and well-being. My husband was so surprised by Leroy's trust for Doctor Newman as he allowed her to examine his mouth without even a growl. They took time to explain the costs and options available. My boys were so happy when Leroy came home and I was able to assure them that Leroy will be sticking around for many years, still. Thank you Sploot for your compassion and expertise. Fantastic experience: I was looking for a new veterinarian and I came across Sploot. I am so thankful I did. As soon as I made the appointment. I got text reminders , witch I love. When I walked in for my dog’s appointment I was greeted with a smile and a clean spacious waiting area. The place is spotless, smells fresh and clean . The vet tech and vet that saw my dog were both the nicest people ever! Very gentle, friendly and very knowledgeable. I felt like the pricing is fair and not over priced. I didn’t get talked into doing something I didn’t think was necessary for my dog. I’m so excited my dog is in great hands at Sploot. We found a forever veterinarian!

Fantastic experience: My diabetic cat, Zevon, was failing with the vet care he was receiving, but I didn't know where else to take him. My daughter thought I should try Sploot after she had a great experience there. Our first visit was in January. I loved Sploot from the start. I was given information on how we might approach Zevon's issues, recommendations on what to do next & prioritized options. No judgement. Since then he has had some dental surgery, lots of blood tests, & today, after nine months with Sploot, his diabetes is stable for the first time in nearly 5 years. I am so happy. Communication is superb. I love doing so much by text. I can ask questions or make a request by text or email and it is answered very quickly. All of his records are available right on their portal. I purchased the Sploot membership plan & it actually paid for itself immediately & saves me money each time I take him. Like most people with a pet, Zevon means the world to me & I feel like by taking him to Sploot I am doing the best thing I can for him.

Negative experience: We had an appointment for our puppy today who required anti-anxiety medication for the long car ride. We were in heavy traffic for almost an hour and arrived 8 minutes late to our appointment. Sploot refused to provide care for our puppy stating they were fully booked and could no longer accommodate us. Sploot confirmed that they do not disclose a policy for being late to appointments on their website and therefore was a refusal of care.

Fantastic experience: This is the best vet I’ve ever taken my animals to. The staff (girls who were at the front desk, Angel K., and Dr. Lenahen) were all super friendly and accommodating, and you can just tell that they love what they do and care deeply about the pets they treat. Could not recommend this place enough. 10/10 service and will definitely be back for any of my pets future needs.

Fantastic experience: Liesel was so frightened when we arrived. The sweet nurse was so gentle and kind to her , and me . Liesel came out with 2 shots and a bandage from blood drawn with a happy dance . We only spent 10 minutes in the office ! Liesel cam home and ate dinner as if nothing happened. I appreciate how much they care for my best friend!

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very friendly. They were great with my nervous dog, and were understanding about her being more uneasy in spaces with other dogs.
