Fantastic experience: I've been going to Westmonte since I recently adopted a new pup, and they have been amazing! The staff is excellent; the veterinarian is both informed and pleasant, and you can tell she enjoys what she does. My dog is not comfortable around other dogs she does not know, and the staff works with me on each visit to keep everyone safe. I can't say enough positive things about Westmonte after visiting for the past year.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Matagrano and her entire staff have been nothing but short of amazing welcoming our sick 15 year old cat into their office. We went to ER hospital to find our old man has Hyperthyroidism and unfortunately due to the underlying condition had caused him to go blind. He has not eaten and slowly adjusting to life without all his senses and is fighting for his life. The compassion, care and kindness the entire staff has shown us thus far has been amazing. My Jenks is not out of the woods and is fighting for his will to survive but I’m confident that between them and our willingness to keep the fight strong they will be instrumental in nursing him back to health. Our cat doesn’t care for people outside our “family” and it truly amazed me how he took to Dr. Matagrano. You get what you pay for and happily will continue to go here until my little guys last days. Fantastic experience: I always recommend this place to my friends and family. The entire staff is so friendly and professional. Dr Matagrano is incredible! You can tell she cares for these animals and she knows what she’s talking about. The pricing is fair, the service is fast and I’ve never had an issue with them in the five years I’ve been bringing my cats to her.

Negative experience: The care is good and the vet seems to really love the animals but the prices are 3-4x the average. The diagnostic and treatment prices are so expensive I won’t be returning. There are plenty of vets in this area that won’t break the bank.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Matagrano is phenomenal. She is the only vet that my dog ever felt comfortable with. He loved her! Until the very last breath, our Max always felt happy and safe with her and she made our last moments with him so peaceful and beautiful. Max was able to transition surrounded by love and Dr Matagrano stayed with us through it all. She took care of Max for years and we always felt comfortable with her. Her office staff is top notch! I don’t know if we will ever get a dog again, but if we do, Dr. Matagrano will surely be their vet because she is our vet for life!

Fantastic experience: I live in Orlando but I will always make the drive to Westmonte Animal Clinic for Dr. Matagrano. She is caring and loving - always taking the time to make my skittish rescue pup feel safe and secure. And it was her patience and persistence that finally solved my pup’s skin allergies. I can’t recommend Dr. Matagrano highly enough!

Negative experience: Receptionist told me my dog can not get his food made by Hills until he is seen by the vet because it has “medication” in it. Hills has absolutely no medicine in it and this is not true. I told the receptionist this and that my dog gets very ill with any other food and even though they had the food in stock, they won’t sell it to me. If you research Hill’s you will see there is a scam lawsuit because vets get money from Hill’s when they sell it and there is nothing in the food that should truly be a subscription. In the meantime, I’ll have to order the food from a place that DOES NOT require a prescription for this food but it will take a few days to arrive. In the meantime, my dog will be very sick because the only alternative is another food.

Negative experience: The vet is excellent but her receptionist is less than helpfull and lacks any customer service skills. Sadly I’m hunting for a new vet cause I’ve had 3 very poor interactions with her. The receptionists cavalier attitude and lack of concern drove me away.

Negative experience: Finally I can leave a 1 star review! I have been wanting to write this for years, but didn’t out of inconvenience of having to go to look for a new vet. Let me tell you, this office does not care about your pets. They only care about money. Whatever issue you have, they will tell you they don’t know what it is and always act like it’s not a big deal. Meanwhile they will propose a long list of useless tests and treatments that will not work at all. I have brought so much business to this clinic because I work in cat rescue and people always ask me where I go so I would always say this place. Wish I could take it back! They refused to service my senior cat Dexter who has been coming here for 8 years and has a health condition because she is “aggressive”, (never had a problem before!), unless we put her under anesthesia. She is NOT an aggressive cat and I could see the vet handling her with no problems right in front of me. She needed a rabies vaccine and bloodwork done prior to surgery, and they refused to do it unless i put her under at that time, which I didn’t have time to do at the time. We agreed that we will schedule her procedure for a later time and do her surgery plus give her the vaccine next visit. Mind you that she has had many rabies vaccines and is an indoor cat, and they never forced the rabies vaccine to my other cats who I also brought into the clinic just a few weeks before. Nevertheless I did not deny the vaccine but said we will do it next time. Next thing I know they tell me that because I “declined” the vaccine they are removing me and all of my pets (I have 5+) from their clients! They also charged me for the visit when they did absolutely NOTHING! I am beyond appalled at the unprofessionalism, but at the same relieved because I had already multiple other issues with this office - not calling in prescriptions into the pharmacy in time, not being able to identify and treat simple problems such as UTIs, the staff being very rude and lacking common sense, even recommending euthanasia as a possibility for a sick kitten who was malnourished! I am looking forward to taking my pets to a better place who actually cares, knows what they are doing and is able to treat them with care!

Fantastic experience: We just love Westmonte Vet. The entire staff is so friendly and Dr. Matagrano is the best. She helped us through a difficult time with our dog Rosebud and now we have a new puppy Heidi and she has helped us transition our new puppy. Just the best! Highly recommend

Positive experience: Nice and friendly. Treated the animals with care.

Negative experience: Spent over $400 there and they did not fix my cats issues. The amount of money I paid them I could have had the issue already solved it another place. If you want to go and waste your money go there All they do is pad the bill. And my cat is not fixed now I have the go to another place and get her fix. They did nothing really to solve the issue. She said there is a tooth cracked wkth puss coming out, but it might be something else. Now I have not been to veterinarian school but that is probably the issue.

Negative experience: Friendly employees, but just another office that cares about money over animals. You shouldn’t have to pay an office visit just to receive an estimate on a procedure. That’s why they are called estimates. If I call with all the facts and literally just spoke to a vet, it should be reasonable to say this is low end price and this is high end. A range is reasonable. But to refuse to force office visits just to give me a price is absurd. They literally want you to be $60+ for them to give you a ball park price on a procedure.

Fantastic experience: The staff is so friendly and accommodating to both me and my dog! They also work with you whether you're running late or need that all important emergency appointment. They clearly explain all treatment plans, including the cost. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: The folks at Westmonte animal clinic are the place to go if you are looking for the right vet clinic for your pet. They are caring professionals who obviously love animals and understand how important your pet is to you. I think Dr. Matagrano is excellent at her job and I would recommend her and her staff to anyone, they really took care of my cat, Cassie.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lisa and the other staff were terrific when I arrived for the first time ever during their walk in hours yesterday. My 15 year old dog had an abscess on a newly arisen tumor. They were thorough but realistic about treatment options and their prices were reasonable. Hopefully with some TLC our boy will recover for a few more years of joy. But I feel good about the possibility now thanks to them and they seem to truly care about your pet!

Fantastic experience: We went to Westmonte Animal Clinic for a second opinion after our dog had a horrible experience being neutered at another local vet. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Lisa is amazing! She is thorough and will be open and honest giving you options to choose from for treatment. Needless to say, we're one week past our first visit and I'm convinced that our dog would not have healed as strongly and quickly if we hadn't found this clinic. If you're looking for a veterinarian in this area, this is the place to go!

Fantastic experience: We have been coming to Westmonte Animal Clinic prior Dr. Matagrano taking over the practice several years ago. Dr. Matagrano and her staff are FANTASTIC! I was hesitant at first with a new doctor taking over the practice but I am extremely glad I decided to stick with her. Dr. Matagrano and staff are patient with us and are always willing to answer the many questions I have in detail. Dr. Matagrano has gone above and beyond my expectations as a veterinarian on many occasions! I highly recommend Westmonte Animal Clinic to anyone looking for a vet.

Fantastic experience: We met Dr. Lisa and staff, when we brought our 7 yr old Blue Nose in for a second opinion on his health. We knew immediately that we had found our life long Vet! We have since lost our boy but have 2 new puppies and couldn't imagine going to any one else. Dr. Lisa and staff truly care and its something that you can feel right away. The best part is in fighting our 7 yrs old's cancer we became very holistic, Dr. Lisa completely understood and totally works with us on the best approach for caring for our new fur babies. Fantastic experience: I came in this morning with an older stray Shih-Tzu, and Cindy was able to get me in ASAP! She was extremely welcoming, and I was also greeted warmly by Sara :) Dr. Matagrano was an absolute gem -- I'm lucky to have found this clinic. She did a full exam on the little guy and sent me on my way with a great goodie bag and medicine to kill his fleas. He got all his vaccinations, and the care was efficient and kind. I highly recommend this small clinic -- they will make you and your pet(s) feel at home. They're straight to the point, and I appreciate their approach when it comes to sensitive topics and answering questions. Not to mention, they all have a fantastic sense of humor :)

Fantastic experience: If you want compassionate, positive people caring for your pets, you will not find a better place than Westmonte Animal Clinic. Dr. Matagrano and her staff are joyfully devoted to the health and happiness of animals AND people. When times are good, they are wonderful. When times are hard, they are deeply kind and supportive. All I have to do is tell my dog Daisy that we are going to "See Doc" and she goes beserk, flies out to the car and barks all the way there - SHE loves them and so do WE!!

Fantastic experience: We just started going to Westmonte Animal Clinic after we got our new puppy Cooper. Every time we go we always have a great experience. Dr. Lisa goes over everything before it happens so we fully understand what’s going on, and the staff is always very polite and great to work with.

Fantastic experience: This place is the best vet I have ever been to. They are professional, clean and most of all love our pets. We have three cats and have brought in all of them at one time or another. Our cat Sampson, the one pictured in Dr. Lisa's arms, has been there multiple times. The ladies are always happy to see him and you can tell they really do like what they do. I recommend them to all of my friends, great place to take your pet.

Fantastic experience: We have been taking "the Beast" to Westmonte since he was rescued (12+ yrs) AND it has been wonderful. They have been very good at sending reminders when shots or other requirements are due. Also, I like that the staff discusses with me the services prior to performance to confirm what we want done. Fantastic experience: Inherited an unplanned 10 year old Pit Bull with lots of problems. Dr Matagrano and her staff went to work and resolved all issues with great care and knowledge. When I adopted my new puppy, I chose to go to this location and I was not disappointed. He was well taken care of and our vet, Dr. Lisa. She informed me on how to keep him as a healthy dog. Fantastic experience: Upon entering the clinic, my Pug and I were greeted by a kind and caring staff. My concerns were addressed regarding Corky's health and wellness. Dr. Lisa Matagrano was personally familiar with the breed. She answered any questions I had. She had suggested a course of health and wellness in addition to addressing a course of treatment for a issue.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely AMAZING. We switched over from the SPCA/Humane Society (which became Pet Alliance) due to the poor service, sub-par facilities, lackluster vets and the expensive pricing. Westmonte Animal Clinic had AMAZING service from the moment I made the first phone call. The friendly environment, attention to detail, and especially their openness to questions and discussion about my pets was overwhelming and made my wife and I know that without a doubt, we were in great hands. The facilities were not only clean and accommodating, they were modern and made us feel that corners were never being cut. Most important was the staff - who welcomed conversation and our questioning of our pets and their care - it added to the intellectual discussion and created a wonderful environment where we felt we were truly being listened to and our pets were being taken care of. We are so happy we have switched and we are never going anywhere else again.

She takes the time to listen and is knowledgeable about every aspect of pet care. Office staff is kind and helpful and takes the time to call to follow up after your visit. Pricing is affordable and the new pet pack is definitely a savings. I have five pets, 3 dogs and 2 cats, and I am looking forward to moving all my animals to Westmonte Animal Clinic.

Fantastic experience: We just moved to the area and were looking for a new vet and stumbled upon Westmonte Animal Clinic online. Since they got good reviews we figured we would give them a try. We had our first visit a couple of weeks ago and couldn't believe how great Dr. Lisa and her staff were. They treated Brutus like he was one of their own and didn't try and upsell us on unnecessary products or services. They were reasonably priced and we will definitely be going back!!! Very happy with our visit and will recommend them in the future. :)

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: Been going to Dr. Matagrano for 5+ years and it's always been a pleasure to see her doing so well and how her level of care has not changed. She's still one of the best vets I've taken all my dogs, too. Fantastic experience: I am a biomedical technician. I performed medical equipment maintenance and repair service in both Veterinary and Healthcare environments. Needless to say I’ve seen many operating rooms and vet clinics. I was so impressed by the cleanliness of this facility I had to leave a 5 star review. The Operating rooms, lobby, and exam rooms are the cleanest I’ve ever seen (even better than most health facilities I’ve seen for human use.) the staff was very friendly and although I do not have any pets of my own based on my first impression I would go here before any other vet office if I were to ever get a pet. Keep up the high standards Westmonte staff, great job!

Positive experience: I like the vet here and they always have great service. They are friendly and helpful. We’ve gone here for two years. My only complaint is that when I fill prescriptions they tell me that they will call me when it’s ready and no one ever calls. Not once. I always have to follow up myself no matter how long it has been.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Matagrano and her team are excellent. They were so amazing, supportive, and accommodating when my dog got diagnosed with a chronic illness. They took time to answer all of my questions and were incredible throughout the process. We had been seeing her prior to this episode for routine care and had always been received with a smile and a warm welcome (even though my boy can sometimes be a crab). Unfortunately we moved out of state, but wish we could take them with us!!!

Fantastic experience: Amazing care! I had bad experience at another local vet, the Dr was more interested in arguing over what the appointment was for rather than addressing my pets needs. 2 months ago they swore my pet was in good health, but the issues continued so I brought her here instead and they found she had a terrible UTI! My poor baby was sick, and Dr. Matagrano was compassionate, patient, and answered all my questions. Now Snowball is on her way to good health, all thanks to this incredible team. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Having had a few not so great experiences at other veterinary clinics in the area, Westmonte is a cut above the rest. Your pet is CARED for, you are listened to and a thorough evaluation of the situation is completed. Dr is OUTSTANDING and techs are unmatched. Cost is reasonable and care is above and beyond.

Fantastic experience: I took my 9 yr old Goldendoodle in because she was having a severe allergic reaction. Very concerned because she was no longer eating and throwing up at all hours. After I brought Molly in to get checked, Westmonte Animal Clinic was able to bring my girl back to good health!! A relief to see my dog happy not to be in pain.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Matagrano and her staff are great with my puppy, they treat her like if she was their pet. My dog enjoys going to the vet, which is weird I know but she gets super excited when we get there.

Fantastic experience: Everyone here is super sweet and caring. They really listen to you and try to do what they can to help. You can tell they all love their job and that they are all very passionate about animals. I wouldn’t bring my dog anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: Took my kitty in for the first time here and I was very pleased! The office was clean and smelt great unlike some places I’ve tried in the past. The receptionist was great and got us right in, same day, for my baby’s yearly shots and exam. The vet and vet tech were great as well! They took great care of my kitty cat and you can tell they genuinely care for the animals they treat. I’m happy to have found an awesome vet I can count on! I’ll be back here for all my kitty vet trips. :) -update 2 years later with a pic :)

Fantastic experience: By far the most compassionate vet we have ever seen. They were kind, followed up on our fur baby after he became ill, and kept him comfortable until we had to make the tough decision to let him go. They will not pressure you into procedures or therapies that will not work, or attempt to prolong your animals life for the sake of making money. They were honest and upfront with every option, gave advice, and supported us through every tough decision. I truly couldn't speak higher of Westmonte Animal Clinic. Another vet we saw prior to here improperly diagnosed our cat, wanted to add test upon test and treatment upon treatment. All it took was one exam and an xray to confirm his condition with Westmonte. If we would have gone the other direction, the treatment would not only have been extremely expensive, it would have shortened his life, and made him gravely ill until his passing. Instead, Westmonte Animal Clinic kept him comfortable, and I can say with certainty that gave us more time with him. Thank you so much! ❤

Our baby was given everything she needed with the care we look for, all for a very affordable price. This is our go to vet for our family from now on. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: This is the new place that was built next to wawa and it is BEAUTIFUL. VERY well maintained, VERY friendly and understanding staff (jessica youre the BOMB), and most importantly a veterinarian that knows what shes doing. Would absolutely bring my pets back, absolute shame that im moving.

Fantastic experience: We went to this vet when we lived in Altamonte springs with our dog and loved it. I've now moved to Gainesville which is two hours north. When my dog got an ear infection, we tried a vet up there. Well, fast forward to my day off and here we are driving back from Altamonte springs with a happier dog in the backseat. Dr.M takes the time to know her patients and makes sure that her solutions are easy and affordable. She has never once asked to run an expensive test unless it was really necessary. I will continue to go here and recommend it highly for as long as I live in FL.
