Experiencia negativa: "Low-cost" and yet they charge an exam fee for each pet when getting vaccinations. Also previously would run a fecal test without needing the pet to have an exam first, now they want you to again pay an exam fee on top of the cost of the fecal. You can't claim to be low cost and then charge an extra fee for every service.

Experiencia fantástica: Our family have used AZ Spay & Neuter for years. They have always been friendly and professional. And now the waiting room is bigger! There was a ton of room! Finally, you can't beat their pricing. Overall, you can feel safe while keeping your pets safe.

Experiencia fantástica: When dropping off our 73 lb. Baby we were very anxious when arriving to a waiting room full of barking dogs. Or baby was very nervous and agitated so I sat consoling him and talking to him. The associates were great the process was smooth and seamless. In getting in our vehicle I said to my husband imagine being those ladies up front, you start your day with a lobby full of barking dogs and your day ends with the same! So Thank you ladies for being calm, friendly and efficient!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I've been coming here for over 10 years. They claim to be a low-cost clinic but only sell brand name drugs which are twice as expensive as generic. The person I spoke to you this morning was callus and cold and could care less if I have to go to a different vet just to get generic brands. This is terrible service. Again I've been coming here for over a decade and the response of the vet was basically we don't care we sell brand name drugs that's it tough luck. I do not recommend coming here. The vet Twiddy doesn't care. She's cold during examinations. It's a high volume clinic get them in and get 'em out. No personalization. When I brought my cat there my cat is friendly and comes out of the carrier on his own. I tried to tell this to the vet but she ignored this and proceeded to drag my cat out of the carrier. How can you call yourself a low-cost clinic when you sell brand name drugs only that are twice as expensive as generic.

Experiencia fantástica: Very kind and accommodating. I had an appointment with 4 cats... 2 surgeries, one bloodwork and one dental exam and came from far away with much urgency..... EXCEPT I showed up on the wrong day (actually the wrong week even). Most front desk vet clerks would be "your out of luck.... come back when youre supposed to" but not these gals. They went back and conferred with a very busy doc who didnt want to put me out since I traveled an hour distance and already had stressed the poor cats out with the trip. I was seen almost immediately by Dr. Julie Twiddy with a big smile and a reassurance that she understood mistakes happen. She was WONDERFUL. Here I should mention that we are a non profit kitty sanctuary and rescue. Believe it or not.... Not ALL vets are happy to see rescue groups. Yes.... that is true. But not here! Open arms, big hearts and super nice people. I highly recommend them and we will certainly be seeing them exclusively from here on out:) Sending a kitty there tomorrow:) Meg Wilcox

Experiencia negativa: Arizona Spay Neuter was an absolute nightmare. I brought my rescue dog in to be neutered and the whole experience was a mess from the start. They couldn’t even keep their basic instructions straight. One person said one thing about food, another said something else about water, someone else contradicted them about bringing a leash. Total confusion for a simple procedure. Then on surgery day they text me claiming they can’t reach me by phone, even though my phone works fine. They ignore my reply, so I call. That’s when they tell me my dog has a heart murmur. I didn’t freak out. I didn’t accuse them of anything. I asked a few completely reasonable questions and asked if they could double check, especially since he’d just been seen by two vets who didn’t mention it. And their response was to cancel the entire surgery and tell me to come get my dog. No explanation, no conversation, nothing. When I call to ask what happened, the vet finally gets on the phone and tells me she’s refusing to operate because she “doesn’t like having her abilities questioned.” That’s literally what she said. Not concern for my dog, not a medical reason, just pure ego. Now I have to go elsewhere to get his heart checked, go elsewhere for the neuter, and basically start from scratch because they couldn’t handle being asked a simple clarifying question. And given how disorganized and unprofessional they were, how am I supposed to trust anything they told me in the first place? For the record, this isn’t even my first bad experience with them. My cat had internal bleeding after being spayed here. I should’ve trusted my instincts. Bottom line: chaotic staff, terrible communication, and a vet who cancels needed care because her pride got hurt. Save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else.

Experiencia fantástica: So I've been getting my animals done here to get fixed for years and yes thier prices have gone up but so has everybody else, what I want to commend them on is how far Above and Beyond theu go to take care of my babies. The night of my cat getting spayed she has a bad reaction to the pain shot they gave her and she freaked out and went feral on me (*an unforseen and unfortunate side effect) after I put the cone on her. Being the absolute nut job cat she already was mixed with the added effects of the pain medication my cat lost her (bleep) and it appeared she had ripped out her stitches in the process of trying to remove the cone. I called the very next morning and explained what happened and they informed me it would be $100 to get her restitched and to get antibiotics. Well at this point im a mess because I just spent $181 the day before (*that's way more than normal BTW my cats fat and the was in heat and I got extras) and couldnt afford another $100 as im in tears they told me to bring her in no matter what and I did and they took care of her. They eased my concerns and the staff there is always friendly compassionate patient and gentle if I could give them more stars I would.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to AZ Spay and Neuter for ~2 years now and I won’t be bringing my dogs anywhere else. One of my dogs (12 years old) recently had a teeth cleaning & extraction done. They did a phenomenal job with the surgery itself, explaining all the after care, answering questions, and they even let me keep her teeth (weird request, I know, but still). I also got my pit mix spayed there and they did a great job all around. I love that they work with partners to get pitties fixed at a lower cost! I get both my dogs annual shots there, too, and I love the easy walk-in hours. The staff are professional and do a great job for an AWESOME price. The vets will give it to you straight and not bs you into ridiculously high prices. THE ONLY CATCH: sometimes they are crowded and the waiting room can get wild so be sure to get there right when they open.

This time I scheduled and app ointment for a neck mass removal cost and when I arrived I was informed they did not handle that there and they referred me to santa cruz. After 3 minutes I was charged and sent on my way. Beware the book appointments and cant do the work and will charge you so not ok.

I wish I could list the vet clinic that charged me more than twice what I paid for this procedure. I will and have already referred Arizona Spay and Neuter to others.

Experiencia fantástica: We had to cancel our spay appointment because our pup got sick from Fresh Pet dog food. She had horrible diarrhea. Not only were they concerned for my Baby, but so quick to get her a new spay date and offered other services to check her health before spaying. They are professional, courteous, caring and the only team I’d want taking care of my pet. As she is more than a pet, she’s family. Prices were so reasonable too! Can’t hurl enough accolades at them!!!

It can be pretty busy during the vaccine clinics as the prices are the best I have found in Tucson. They get you in and out very quickly. At check in she reassured me she would look into it and give me answers. She followed through with this request and chatted with me about the potential cause and how to avoid it from happening again. I would recommend Dr. Valentine and her team to anyone. The neuter was less expensive than I expected and I was set at ease over his injury. Thank you Dr. Valentine and staff for your amazing care!

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely basic care and no care once you leave ( understandably so because the rates are very low and ala cart), unless you call or email. They did get right back to me! I was worried about Mxgics' incision cause he got to it on night one while we slept. He took off his own con. I sent a picture by email, and the doctor got right back and made me feel better. The incision and sealing were excellent when I left, and luckily, my baby didn't do much damage. Their prices are super affordable! If you want a lot of attention and significant attention before, during, and after, YOUR animal surgery, then one needs to go to a private vet where you will pay out the rear for that. There were a lot of animals in there at the same time to be taken care of that same day. However, their process is fluid and seamless. I'm so glad I found you guys. It actually helped my anxiety to see all the other pups and kittens in there to get their surgeries, too ♡ Mxgic is completely healed, and it looks impeccable!P.S the cone pics and video are AFTER day 7 healing. I kept Mxgic very still for the 1st 7, which was not easy They do have sedatives available, but I used benadryl ( small amount) because I already had it. And after day 14, I then eased him into walks. Mxgic is now back to his crazy self a month later

Every single employee was so reassuring and helpful in answering all of my over the top questions. My kittens incision is healing beautifully and she bounced back from surgery so fast. I highly recommend a recovery suit over a cone (my kitten acted like the cone was the worst thing in the world but didn't mind the recovery suit at all).

They did an incredible job taking care of my kitten; the spay was basically textbook perfect and the healing process went by smoothly. Pick-up process was fast too. I suggest buying your own cone that's comfier/snug since the one they provide is just the minimum necessity. Would come back again!

Experiencia negativa: Bad experience. Had puppy spayed, and paid extra for pain meds. The meds had opposite effect, and my puppy tore open sutures the next day. Called them and no one offered for me to bring her to the clinic, or to offer different medication. All I got was "Sorry". I took her to an urgent care and spent 1200 more dollars on top of the 440 I spent at ABC. Would not take any animal there again, EVER!

Experiencia fantástica: Other vets were quoting me $600-$1000 to spay my 6mo pupper. Saw that this place works with UofA students (under vet supervision) to keep prices low and I decided to give them a shot. Made my appointment over email which was super easy. Got there on a Wednesday at 7am and there was somewhat of a line (not too surprising with how popular this clinic is) but the friendly staff processed people surprisingly quickly. We only ended up waiting about 15 mins or so. I think filling out your forms in the app beforehand helps a lot. The vet came out to take our pupper and was also very friendly and professional. Told us to come back at 3:30pm to pick her up. Our pupper was a bit woozy but she quickly recovered and was back to her normal self the next morning. Fantastic experience overall and can't beat the prices here. Altogether I paid about $229 total with tax for the spay ($110) plus 4 vaccines which were $20 each.

The only problem I had was when I called to set the appointment up for Maisie they told me they could do the front dew claws 50 bucks if they weren't connected a piece$100 if they were connected they need to start checking things before they give information out I need you to get her spayed due to the fact I'm leaving out of town in a month.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible first time contact, the receptionist (blonde hair and freckles) basically sent me away and told me they couldn't take 2 seconds to check out my dogs nail. No sympathy at all, I thought that was their business to care, apparently not here. I took my dog to another place and actually got great care and they took care of my dog immediately. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star but u kinda have to. Avoid this place like the plague!

Experiencia negativa: I had my cat neutered here last Friday. They had the best prices I found but honestly I regret bringing my cat to them. He's been violently attacking himself since he was neutered,even tries with the cone on. I noticed several other things so I took him to his regular vets office. She said that his scrotal tissue is extremely hard and she doesn't even know how this would have happened. It's causing him severe pain. She said she's never seen this happen with a neutering. I had to put him on antibiotics and pain medication. I feel this clinic did something wrong because this isn't how it's supposed to go at all. I've had male cats before and never had this issue. If I could go back and not come here I definitely would.

Experiencia negativa: I had a friend set an appointment for two cats to be fixed and she ended up putting it under her name, with her info, instead of mine. So, I didn’t get the notification nor did I put in my calendar like I had if I’d scheduled it myself. I ended up missing that appointment and when I called to reschedule I was told that I had to pay a $25 cancellation fee, per animal. Which I wasn’t happy with at the time, but agreed that it was my fault. I eventually called back to schedule the two animals and was told that moving forward, any animals that I bring in, would need to pay that additional cancellation fee. Even if it wasn’t the same two who matter what even if it wasn’t the two animals that missed the appointment. These spiteful, unhappy phone answerers, need some customer service training. Clearly this place isn’t setting the bar for customer service. I’ve brought plenty of animals here over the years and honestly I’ve always had to deal with some snobby front desk girl that reek of dog and just seems totally unhappy with their life/job choice. Clearly they aren’t looking at it from a business standpoint. If they were, they’d realize they just let $2000 walk out the door over $50. I guess that’s why they are in those entry level positions and not Management. Hopefully, management can hold some trainings and teach these ladies a few things.

Experiencia negativa: I got my cat spayed on Tue Feb 27th. When I brought her home her incision looked awful. On Wednesday she wasn’t eating or drinking or really wanting to move which I assumed was because she was still sore/sick from the surgery. But on Thursday she still wouldn’t eat, drink or move and her whole tummy was swollen and purple. So I called AZ spay and neuter, 4 times before they answered, and they told me I needed to take her to an ER because they couldn’t do anything for her. The ER vet said she had free fluid in her abdomen, and after doing tests said it was “Septic peritonitis abdominal infections secondary to spay” which is an internal infection. They said it could be from a nick but they couldn’t officially tell without surgery. They also suspected she had hepatic lipidosis, which is liver failure from not eating or drinking. I eventually had to make the decision to put her down, only 2 days after getting her fixed. She was a healthy, playful cat who was going to turn 2 on march 30th. They did reimburse me for everything but that doesn’t bring my cat back.

Experiencia negativa: I'm disappointed in this place. The front desk staff is not friendly and when they saw a dog pee on the floor no one bothered to clean it. I was there for 2 hours and that puddle just stayed there. The exam room also was not clean and the vet didn't listen to my concerns. I also was told a few things in my visit but when I stepped out and asked to clarify a few things, they seemed annoyed and I still walked out not understanding. The final straw was when I made an appointment and they moved it up and when I called them that I couldn't do that date they said I would be charged if I rescheduled again but I told them I didn't reschedule it but they said they would never reschedule without reaching out first. Well they didn't but still called me a liar. I won't be going back. My dog will probably pick up a disease from there based on their lack of cleanliness. They also don't separate those in the waiting room with dogs that might have something contagious!

Experiencia fantástica: My German Shepherd Leila was having bouts of diarrhea and since she’s getting up there in her years I decided to give AZ Spay Neuter a try to have her seen since they started up their general practice exams for treatment and some baseline values of her health. Getting an appointment was easy and a lot quicker than I was anticipating. I was worried they weren’t going to be able to do much with Leila because I know she puts up a good fight when it comes to restraint. But with the quickness, they were able to draw her blood and stress time for her as a patient was minimal. I was able to get her exam, senior blood panel, a send out fecal, and antibiotics all at low cost. I thank Dr. Twiddy and all of the staff for taking care of Leila and being friendly and efficient with us.

This facility did not disappoint! Pick up and drop off was fast and efficient, the staff was super friendly and kind to my Dixie. I called midday and received an update right away. Picked her up by 3pm with perfectly laid out post surgery instructions. By the next day she was already back to her normal self. Amazing care for an amazing price. Experiencia negativa: Very bad experience. They pulled 22 teethe out of my dog leading me to believe she would have 24 left. She did not. She only had 4. Had I known this I would have gotten a second opinion. They mutilated my 3-year-old dog. Their service is an assembly line rushed and unprofessional joke. They bait and switch you about their rates and give you smug lectures if you complain. Take your pet to a real vet. If you love your animal this is not the place to go. They lie about EVERYTHING. They have vet techs who do surgery on your pet when it is illegal to do that. When you ask who the owner is they say they can't tell you. It's easy enough to find out online.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my puppy in to be spayed. The front desk staff made checking in a breeze. I was nervous dropping her off, but the vet tech assured me that she would be in great hands and guided her to the back with such ease when she knew I wasn’t coming with her and got worried. I dropped her off at 7am and she was ready to be picked up at 2pm. Recovery went great too! If you’re looking for an inexpensive, reliable, and caring spay and neuter clinic, I would recommend the doctor’s and staff at Arizona Spay and Neuter.

Experiencia fantástica: Our service was amazing with our sweet Tanto! Took our kitten in for a spay and she healed beautifully. Best part was when we walked in to pick her up the staff was loving on another cat who was cold after her surgery. These people care about your pet as of it were theirs! Highly recommend! I should have had to pay hundreds for the service we received and instead my son was able to pay for his own cat’s spay!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely hated this place. Not only were they rude, management sucked and was no help. They over charged me & refused to correct it. My sister did the same stuff I did with the cheaper spay/neuter and they were just fine to her. However would not correct mine, even though we did it all at the same time with the same stuff. Absolutely disgusted by this place.

Experiencia negativa: I made and appointment to drop off my rescue dog “Tater Tot” to be spayed. I have use them before, never having a problem with my other dogs before. Being on a fixed income, social security, but because I was 8 minutes late for the 8 AM drop off due to heavy traffic, immediately told me I had to pay a $30 late charge. I was never told anything about such charge Being I had to travel 20 miles to use their service, I feel they we only taking advance of me. I would not recommend them to anybody after that. Sad to say!
