Experiencia fantástica: I brought my puppy”s in to get tested for Parvovirus (Both negative ) but the experience was so great. We found our new vet. Been back for vaccinations and a spay. Staff is amazing and so helpful. The took the time to check in with us to see how are puppy was doing after her surgery. There are other veterinary clinics closer to us, but I will make the 35 min drive for the amazing service and knowledge that our babies will be taken care of.

I appreciate that he always offers us all of the options for care and talks through what he recommends and why. He's always happy to answer our questions and never makes us feel rushed. We highly recommend him. Our tech, Marisol, was also wonderful! She was very friendly and personable and took her time with our very nervous dog, Gabe. Highly recommend this clinic! Thank you!

My dog is very protective, but they’re very well with the veterinarian. Veterinarian was very nice knew what she was doing. I like that they had to record everything during his overall well check. Got a shot and toenails And we’re a happy punch thank you for everything. I recommend Pet Doctor to anyone. Prices are a lot better than the Southside vets. So we will be coming to the Pet Doctor. Then a vet technician assistant calms your fears (if that is why you are there) then greeted by Dr Hoffman who provides the best care and speaks to you in a language you can understand. Before bringing my pup Ollie in I was told he could potentially lose his leg after fracturing his tibia… after seeing Dr Bob 2X he’s almost 3/4 healed! The technicians and staff are all A+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Navigating a dog trauma and the expense of it all is difficult on so many levels… I’m incredibly grateful people like this exist and work with pets. Highly recommend!

Experiencia negativa: I’ve used this place for the last two years because I was told by other vets that it was a “cheaper” option. What a joke. Not only did they quote me $1000 MORE than the mobile vet to have a few of my cat’s teeth pulled, they’ve now raised their visit fees from $60, to $75, and now it’s $90 just for an EXAM FEE? Recent studies show that vet care has increased 60% in a DECADE and it’s because of greedy corporations like this one taking more and more and more of our money while the workers see no raises and the level of care remains the same (if not less because of staffing shortages). I will be finding another vet because The Pet Doctor should be ashamed of themselves.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been taking my animals here for a couple years now, and I love it! They spend time with you and talk. They actually really care about your pet AND you. Sometimes you have to wait but it is well worth it. I’d rather wait all day than be rushed in and out. All the staff is fantastic and I like the office building and location.

Experiencia negativa: No common sense. An x ray of a dog’s paw doesn’t/shouldn’t cost 600.00 at a clinic. That’s more expensive than the urgent care or even a vet emergency room. This fact didn’t seem to raise any red flags in the minds of the “fill in” vet ( who sounded like a very young adult who lacks experience and confidence) or the office manager who only gave me a poor explanation…. New equipment cost more money. Whatever special/expensive x ray(s) that were ordered were unnecessary. We took my dog to another clinic where he got an x ray for 150.00 Oh, and by the way… we returned to Pet Doctor for the x-ray because at a previous visit at Pet Doctor, the vet dismissed my concerns. We eventually ended up in an urgent care. I will say that Dr Bob is great and we probably wouldn’t have been put in this situation if we would have seen him… so shout out to Dr Bob. Hopefully he moves his practice to another clinic.

I felt so comfortable and they took such good care of my dog. They kept asking me if I had any questions and gave me all the answers to my questions. My experience was perfect and if feels good to k ow my dog has a great place to go for his medical needs. I’m also very happy with the pricing of the services and that was exactly why I first went to that clinic very affordable. I’m very happy and my dog feels so much better and he is happy also.

Experiencia fantástica: All of the staff are amazing. I can't thank them enough for the care they gave my cat. I took my 20 year old cat in to be seen for what turned out to be kidney failure. All of the staff showed a great deal of care and compassion. They clearly loved animals and taking care of them. Sadly, my cat passed away on September 26, 2025. The staff are amazing and their prices are very reasonable. They are also able to get you an appointment in a very short period of time. Their location is also great. Thank you so much for the care in which you gave my cat. It was deeply appreciated.

Experiencia fantástica: Made a painless appointment without having to go through a lot with a machine in order to talk to a human being. I also was able to prepay for the appointment. The availability for appointments was excellent and didn’t have to wait a month or so. I made one within two days of the phone call! Pet Doctor excels in reminding you by text and email of the upcoming appointment and offers to fill out any information before the appointment with online capability instead of having to manually fill out paperwork on a clipboard at a doctor’s or optometrist office. I brought Kamila to her appointment not knowing what to expect for a wellness check on a 14 human years old elderly doggie. I was more scared than she was. After getting her weighed and being shown to a little room I requested for her to be taken to be examined away from me so that she doesn’t get territorial. After a few moments we talked about how she’s doing and what’s to be expected about extracting a bad tooth and getting some bloodwork done. I’m horrible with names especially in moments of stress and grief but I do applaud the humane treatment for both Kamila and me. I get treated better here than at my own doctor’s office. The whole staff was gracious and very nice and laughed at my comical occurrences while being nervous. I was expecting to pay way much more than what I did even though Kamila is worth every penny. She’s priceless to me. Thank you so much for everything you do for everyone’s pets! I’ve been going to Pet Doctor for years and never got a chance to thank you but now I can in this review. It was well overdue. I highly recommend Pet Doctor for your “everything in your life” pet. They are top notch and no comparison is needed. I’ve been to other vet places when at first I was shopping around and Pet Doctor is the only one that I will ever come to for my doggies. I have two doggies and my son has one. Thanks again for being there when we need you.

Friendly and always willing to work with you to get invoices, diagnosis notes and care plans sent to you to work with pet insurance companies. The technicians and doctors really care for your pet, as well as take the time to explain what the treatment plan is about and what areas of the diagnosis it applies to. I feel like my pet is always in the care of individuals that love them and want to see them thrive.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently adopted a 4 year old siamese cat and wanted her to have a full exam. Contacted PET DOCTOR, Oracle and Orange Grove Roads. I received a reminder text, the facility was clean and welcoming. Easy to park and take her inside to the office. The staff was friendly and accustomed to pets and parents. The doctor on duty was wonderful and took time to answer my questions. I left over-joyed with the experience and time he spent helping me feel comfortable with my new girl.

Experiencia fantástica: We took our re-homed puppy for a check up. We enjoyed the $25 fee. Dr. McWater and her staff were great. Everyone loved our pup. We found out her age, breed, and weight. We started her vaccinations and learned why she needed them. Nice and healthy physical for a cutie who was to be euthanized five days earlier from people who didn't want her. She had no fear being somewhere new and around other patients. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We will be back and definitely recommend. Thank you for taking care of our little one and showing her going to the vet was a positive experience!

I called the two days in advance to get an appointment for neutering two male large dogs. They got us in and back to a room. I was in and out the dogs scheduled for surgery. I'm grateful and impressed with the level of care my dog received during the appointment and the phone call the next day from the doctor on how to improve my dog's appetite. As a new patient, I was able to get a same day appt for my doggie, they are so kind and compassionate and not as pricey as some vets in the area. We saw Dr Geotz, I believe he is a prof at UofA and not always on staff but if the other practitioners are as kind and thorough as he is, this is the best Clinic around! The whole staff is amazing!

It was our first time visiting this clinic so it was only about $30 plus whatever little money I spent on a shot for him! They have very kind staff, impressive murals on the walls, very fair prices on services and medication, and complementary water bottles in a mini fridge! The most important part for me was they seemed genuinely interested and concerned about my dog and thoroughly checked him to make sure he was in good health. They answered all of the questions I had and made Goose and I comfortable despite the fact that my dog is nervous around people. 10/10 would recommend! So happy I found this vet clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I took one of my dogs there on a recommendation from a friend when I found her with her eyelid torn. They did a great job bc the tear ducts were torn also. That was 3 years ago and no problems with her eyes. I got another little girl and after adopting her I got a certificate for a free exam and Pet Doctor was on the list of vets that accepted the certificate so she has finished her 2nd series of parvo vaccine and in 4 weeks she will get her rabies vaccine. I'm still very happy with Pet Doctor.

Experiencia negativa: I will never come back to this place! I called last week to ask questions about some blood test that was needed for my dog and was treated with hostility and rudeness. Today when I went in for the vaccination visit that I already put a deposit down for, I was not permitted to go back with my dog to the exam room. When I asked why I was told it was to "save time"!! so in reality unless I pay for a wellness visit I don't get to actually speak to the vet about the services THEY REQUIRE to continue getting prescription refills. That is insane behavior to me. I have since found a great Vet at Marana Veterinary Clinic that has no problem answering a simple question at no additional charge and has the most pleasant front office staff. So I guess I should thank this place for their terrible customer service and insane tactics since I was able to find a Clinic far more exceptional.

(You know the drill.) *Check was easy and timely. * Wait time was less than 10 minutes from arrival to exam room. *Vet technician was friendly(to me and my dog) and attentive. *Doctor was friendly and attentive (to me and my dog). *Check out was quick. I believe the charges were in line with other offices. *In the door out in 30 minutes.

The office manager was of no help at all. Only adding to the confusion. This is a very poorly ran corporate veterinarian store. I'm embarrassed I even went there. Never ever again.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love this vet. Brought all my pets here and trusted them. Recently however, there was a miscommunication with appointment time and I missed my appointment. The front desk staff Erica was extremely rude, confrontational and unhelpful. She told me I would have to pay my deposit AGAIN and got snappy and loud telling me it was my fault and that I had confirmed over text. This was my bad as I didn’t check the time again when I confirmed because I assumed it was the same time that I agreed to when I had called and made the appointment. I am entirely disappointed with how this place is ran now. They’re money hungry and the staff is RUDE and unwilling to help even if you drive 45+ mins for the appointment. Erica needs to work on her hospitality. You guys just lost a customer! Finding a new vet for all of my pets.

Experiencia fantástica: We had to say goodbye to our 16-year-old dog yesterday, and we are so grateful for the incredible care and compassion from the staff. He was originally treated here for IVDD in 2017 and had amazing care/recovery. Dr. Keefer was so kind, patient, and professional during this difficult time. The vet tech assistants were also incredibly compassionate and understanding (I’m sorry I didn’t get their names), making sure we felt supported every step of the way. The staff was patient, giving us as much time as we needed and checking in to see if there was anything they could do for us before the appointment. We were emotional and all over the place, but their kindness and empathy made a world of difference. They also provided medication so our dog could spend his final days as comfortably as possible, allowing us to cherish those last moments together. Dr Keefer’s honesty about his condition and what to expect helped us make the best decision for him, and we are so thankful for that guidance. Thank you for giving our beloved dog the best possible care in his final days and for helping him find peace, free from pain. Your kindness will never be forgotten. ❤️

Dr. Keefer made a big mistake that almost killed my dog and lied to protect himself. When brought up to practice manager I was dismissed they had no remorse. This place should be shut down !!

Experiencia fantástica: Front office staff were friendly and helpful. Everyone in the waiting room were relaxed and kind. Dr Bob was significantly late for our appointment but it was worth the wait! He made some great suggestions and gave our guy a clean bill of health. One suggestion was a prescription for arthritis. After 2 days we can see a positive difference is ur dogs activity. level. I'm glad Pet Dr made it through the past few years and now able to continue veterinary services at a reasonable price.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my dog in on Tuesday because he was not eating and throwing up. Instead of receiving reassurance and comfort Dr. McWaters when into everything other than the issue I came in about and tried to see me on prescription food like she makes commission and shamed me. Reading these reviews, I saw that I was not the only one that experienced the nasty and condescending attitude from McWaters. They did x ray and blood test. They gave antibiotics and some nausea medication. I was told by Thursday he should be eating if not to call back. My fiancé called back and was told that they would get him a prescription and placed the order to Costco but when we went to pick it up they never sent the prescription. Now Pet Doctor is closed and can’t get prescription without another visit and test. I’m not sure who my fiancée talked to but now I have to choose to have my dog suffer or take him in the emergency vet visit and pay another company to do the same things I paid Pet Doctor. I love my dog and no money or solution I would ever oppose but the last visit is the last visit because I can fund Dr. MacWaters salary and not sending the prescription I’m done. I usually see Dr Bob but because of the urgency I decided to see who ever was available. Dr Bob is great. The Vet tech I saw on that visit. If you choose this location please stay clear of Dr. McWaters. I hope my dog is fine after this.

Experiencia fantástica: I gave 5 stars because 100 isn't an option. My beloved Willie had come to the end of his life. Everyone at the Oracle office was unbelievably kind, compassionate & reassuring. I wish I could find a MD that could listen to me like this. UPDATE-The billing mistake was mine. I was very upset. They called several days later to check and make sure I was ok. Amazing clinic. So compassionate and loving!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been slow on posting a review we had to send our lovely cat Tekka to kitty heaven 3 weeks ago. We knew & had been procrastinating the office trip because it was time. But the attending Vet Darah & her side kick Darby we so understanding so compassionate so sweet to take the time to explain what would happen in her last days. Then we were given very clear options that were human & peaceful and allowed us to send her off with us by her side. This has had to be one of the hardest thing to do but we didn't want her to suffer. We are at peace but will always cry a little . The clinic sent a lovely card it sat on the table over a week. When I finally opened it there were her paw prints THANK YOU. These to women made the whole experience special & we will never forget.

Experiencia fantástica: I rescued a Pit Bull that I believe someone fought him or let him fight I don't know for sure because he had some pretty bad scars on him. But they tied him up at Del Sol school on Roger Rd. to a light pole in the middle of the parking lot in the middle of summer with no water or food. He was so skinny and you could see his spine and ribs. He bit me good when I tried to get him in the truck, so I decided to take him to pacc. They would not except him because of the bite and said I had to quarantine him for 10 days before they would take possession of him. This dog wanted to fight and bite anything and anyone around him. After taking him in I went home and cried about it and went back and got him. I'm working hard with him and changing his life. The ladies at the Pet Doctor understood and really worked hard with me. They checked him out, drew his blood, and vaccinated him. I was scared for the ladies and the dog. They were to good to be true and made everything happen so nicely. They are so brave. After getting the hard stuff done I was even able to take his muzzle off with the ladies in the room. He loved them. It took so much pressure off of me. I love and am changing this dog with time, love, and affection. And I thank my lucky stars for them beautiful young ladies. One of them was Jessica but I wasn't able to get the Doctors name or the other young lady helping us. It was an awesome experience, they are very good at what they do, and they are so friendly and understanding. Bluey which I named the Blue Nose Pit, has a Doctors office for life now. The ladies are awesome and I am so, so thankful that I found them. I don't think I have ever had that great of service before. You can bet we will be back when we need their help. God Bless The Pet Doctor and the ladies that took care of me and Bluey, they are my heros.

Experiencia negativa: Jenee McWaters is the nastiest, most insulting, condescending, judgmental, unsympathetic, rude, snarky, cold and unloving veterinarian I have ever met. I have taken all of my animals to PD for years and have never encountered such disgusting bedside manner. Then, it was pay $1200 or get out of my office during a quality of life eval visit. She even admitted she misunderstood the reason for the visit, but her remarks were sarcastic and uncalled for and she made us feel like garbage. To top it off, my dogs still did not get comfort care. This doctor prolonged animal suffering and she did not act on the presumption that we know our animals better than she does; instead she pushed her cost gauging treatment plan instead, with no option for pain management only. She has no right to treat clients this way. I will never return. I'm questioning why she doesn't work at ABC anymore. I'll go there instead.

Experiencia negativa: After our beloved dog died, the vet was contacted by message. He did not respond at all, not even two words of condolence. Less than compassionate or caring. They are ALL ABOUT MONEY and EXPENSIVE LAB WORK and grossly inflated prices for the prescriptions they prescribe. Another HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE example: We got a VERY COSTLY prescription…it was so expensive that we wanted a PAPER COPY of the script (that we had paid for as part of our visit), to be able to “shop around.” When we went in and asked for a single-page printout of that prescription, we were told that the charge would be $18. $18 Unbelievable. Now that they are corporate owned, they are all about upsells and bottom line net profit. BOTTOM LINE: If you love your pet, I would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND going to PetDoctor for their “care.” I would describe them as uncaring and greedy, and that’s being “nice.” There’s a lot, lot more and others have described their own horror stories to me in detail…so I’m not the only one with an incredibly bad experience. It’s common.

Experiencia fantástica: I was able to make an appointment for my dog online. The Pet Doctor reached out to collect a $25 deposit and talk through the next day's appointment. I was able to bring my dog in, there was only 5 minutes between arriving and having the vaccine administered. Thus process felt seamless and we were quickly on our way. Thank you!

He was truly compassionate about the situation. Even though my sweet Mia passed everyone was so sweet and caring. I can’t thank you guys enough for being there in the time we needed you. I will most definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vet and if I get another animal in the future I will most def be bringing them here.

They couldn't see her telling me to come back on Monday as this was a friday, and a few hours later, she passed away wow that's interesting response as I see Celia W had left a review 1 MONTH ago and as you can clearly see in the following review that you were able to squeeze her in with a sick dog! I guess it all depends who you are here. You make exceptions for some but not for others. Dully noted. I will never bring business your way again and be sure I will let all my friends and family know as well. Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough about this clinic. The staff was so loving and caring. When I had to say goodbye to my 6 year old Lab/Pitbull Coco last week, they told us to stay as long as we needed to. It was a painfully sad day for me and the tech genuinely cared, clearly she was right there with me because her empathic nature was evident. I got Coco's ashes less than a week later. They came in a velvet bag enclosed in a beautiful wooden box. I was concerned that maybe I wouldn't get her back because you never know... But, when I walked in the door with her ashes, my other pup sniffed the box and cried. So I knew it was her :( I chose Pet Doctor because I took my 18 year old Pug when we had to say goodbye 6 years ago and nothing has changed... just as caring and loving in such a difficult time. The only catch is this, if you want to make an appointment, you must pay a nonrefundable $25 but that doesn't bother me at all. I know how it must be for a business when there are no-shows. I highly recommend this clinic to all pet owners.

Experiencia negativa: I cannot begin to describe the depth of disappointment I have with the Pet DoctorX. They performed a hernia surgery on my little guy just several months ago. His hernia came back in the same spot within months. I went to another vet in another city who said they would perform the surgery for free since they did the surgery and it didn’t work. I told them they weren’t the ones who performed the surgery, so they encouraged me to take him back where it was done because they should do it for free. I called the Pet DoctorX and spoke with the Manager and explained what the other vet said. She agreed. She told me to bring him in, they would evaluate him, and if he needed surgery, Per your response to my review, I tried to call would do it the next day. Well, now they are telling me the only cost they will remove is the actual cost of the hernia repair itself… approximately $40. The estimated bill they handed me was for almost $300, which was almost the full cost of the original surgery, because you can’t do surgery without anesthesia, meds, supplies, etc. When I commented and told them I was disappointed in this, they informed me that the costs have gone up now. What happened to the days when people backed up their work? And what happened to customer service? Again I’m just so disappointed in the lack of compassion and customer care. I know issues come up all the time in all businesses but it’s how we deal with them reflects what kind of people we are. I’m disappointed in how they handled this one and it just hurts my heart with the lack of compassion and customer care. I was expecting the charges to be higher, but was very surprised to see it was more than reasonable. The Vet Tech and Doctor took a lot of time to explain everything with our new puppy. Experiencia fantástica: We love Pet Doctor and have used them exclusively for the last 10 years. They have always been wonderful but yesterday was a particularly challenging day. I needed an immediate appointment for my sweet German Shepherd, Kratos, because he was in a lot of pain. He was limping and not doing well, so I reached out to Pet Doctor expecting them to be busy. They fit us right in! My boy is feeling SO much better and I can’t thank the team enough! We were so worried but they did a flawless job working with him. Dr. Darah was so amazing and patient with our Kratos, too (she’s also a joy to talk to)! We appreciate the wonderful care we’ve received for our pets and our family member’s pets over the years and will continue being patients here for as long as we live here. :)

Experiencia negativa: Not what it used to be!! A total scam. Pet Doctor used to be my favorite vet to take my dogs. They were reasonable, knowledgeable and friendly. I recently contacted them to take my dog in for her well check and vaccines. I was informed that they were bought by another company, and their prices have doubled. Since we were established there already, I decided I would still take my dog in until I found a new vet. The front office informed me there was now a $25 fee. I assumed this was to hold the appointment. I ended up calling them with 48 hours advance notice to cancel the appointment after rethinking their charges. I was informed they would not refund the $25 fee and that is a standard fee they charge just to make the appointment whether I keep it or cancel!!!! I have NEVER heard of this. They charged me $25 for no service. when I asked to speak to the manager, she said she would not refund it. I am disgusted and cannot believe this people claim to care about animals when it's clear they are just looking to make a buck. Corporate or local it's a gross way to take advantage of people in need of care for their pets!!

Experiencia negativa: Can’t recommend Pet Dr any longer. They were bought out by a corporation which has made their pricing no different or more affordable than any other vet office around ($75 to just be seen, $65-$85 for a simple nail trim or gland cleaning). The staff is nice, and they did great with our dogs, but don’t go out of your way to go here for price purposes. They also can be a bit uncommunicative (failed to call in an rx when they said they would on a timeline).

Experiencia positiva: The staff here is great all very helpful the vets care about your pets it’s just very hard to get an appt and they are always understaffed so the wait times can be a bit long. Overall they do have the best prices in town and I’ve had multiple visits for multiple dogs that could have cost a fortune had it not been for this place. I am very great full to have found them, they just need more people on staff to help them get through their high volumes of clients and pets.

Experiencia negativa: I used to love this place. Took all my animals there, referred many people. It has to totally gone down hill. It took 9 days for them to return my call. My very ill dog had an appointment but I needed her seen sooner. I ended up having to take her somewhere else because I could not get a hold of anyone at pet doctor. They don’t answer they don’t return calls And ultimately she had to be put down that same day. The lack of care and service they have now is disappointing from a vet I trusted for so many years. When I spoke to them after 9 days and chose to express my dissatisfaction to them, they hung up on me. Awful.

The fact that this practice had affordable prices is absolutely outstanding (especially as I have two dogs, one cat and a kitten). Why one star? (I wanted to leave zero due to my level of frustration, but these vets had provided knowledgeable, caring, first rate care for more than a decade to my pets, and their not for profit at the expense of animals and loving owners had been admirable!) So, why one star if the care was so great? They are unreachable/ virtually impossible to get hold of--they don't answer the phone; they don't respond to voicemail or to email communications.This is an ongoing and major problem. I have tried for four weeks (this time), calling each day throughout the day during their hours--no answer ever. Last week, between calls, I wrote an email asking for an appointment for one of my dogs and the kitten and for my one dog's prescription refill--no response. On Monday of this week (when the prescription voicemail FINALLY wasn't full) I left a voicemail asking for one of my dog's now very low prescription to be refilled--no response. This cycle happened over the last year to the point where I have had to use two other vet practices. I prefer this practice but it's as if they have blocked my number. I will have to find a new permanent and responsive vet; when I do, I will ask that vet to contact them for medical records (from ten plus years!) as they won't respond to me. IRONICALLY (!) their website states that they are accepting new patients!! How does anyone get an ally ever I just read the other negative reviews and learned (during the time that they never answered my calls!) that all those vets are gone! So I am finding a new vet asap! I wish I had read all these reviews before wasting my time calling. Another IRONY: they spend time responding to negative reviews!!!! Take care of business! Take care of animals! Not mine! After ten plus years I am gone. AND YOU HAD better be COOPERATIVE and send my records to my new vet! Zero stars

You’re lucky if someone picks up the phone. This place use to be awesome until it got bought by different owners.
