Experiencia fantástica: The VEG staff saved our Sammy’s life and we will forever be grateful. They acted fast since he had bloat which help save his life. Every person we interacted with was kind, caring and supportive over the two day stay. We love the open concept and my husband appreciated being able to see our guy during his surgery from the window which was over two hours. Communication was great throughout Sammy’s entire stay. When we picked him up for discharge they had him laying in a dog pen amongst all the employees since he was having anxiety so he could be close to them. They didn’t just leave him in a kennel to howl. This made us realize how much they truly care for your fur baby even when we were not there.

Experiencia fantástica: If you take your pet to an emergency verinary hospital most likely the situation is critical. Our beloved Toby was in critical near death condition when we entered the Veg facility on Oracle. Because of the skilled medical team at this hospital Toby not only survived but fully recovered. All emgency verinary services are expensive so pick Veg where the staff and facility exceed verinary standard.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my older dog in on a Sunday afternoon. The service we recieved was prompt, professional and caring. Unfortunately, I had to make the difficult decision to say good-bye to my boy. The people at VEG were so comassionate. I could not have asked for more support for both me and my Brisbane.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Shaheen is amazing and very knowledgeable. We brought my dad’s cat tonight after a scary episode and Dr. Shaheen was patient with us and answered all our questions kindly. He was VERY thorough in his exam and gave us the crucial information we needed to make the next decision. I would not hesitate to bring a pet to this place. The cost was very reasonable too.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend!!! The best experience I’ve ever had at a vet not to mention a ER vet. They put our minds at ease right when we walked in the door. The staff seems like they genuinely love what they do and we’re so friendly!! I honestly wish they could be my dogs general vet. They were very affordable and we were in and out, exam, bloodwork and all in less than an hour. Knowing we have a good trustworthy ER vet close to us definitely puts our minds at ease if any other issue were to occur!

Experiencia negativa: NEVER EVER BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Came here for an emergency for my cat’s eye. I was told that I would have to leave my cat overnight because her eye was so severe that they had to remove it. Waited up all night for them to call me. When they finally did call me, they added that she likely had a disease that was fatal (mind you they did a blood test, not the test for the actual disease) so they recommended me to a specialist. This ended up being the only positive thing they did. When I got my cat home, they also forgot to take her IV out so I had to drive back for them to remove it. In the end, not only did my cat NOT need her eye removed, she didn’t even have the disease they claimed she had. This place charged me over $1000 to do absolutely nothing but cause me distress for about 48 hours. I wouldn’t come back if it were the last emergency vet on earth.

The attending vet was clear, gentle, and honest about what she was seeing, and she guided us through an incredibly difficult moment with real professionalism and kindness.

I observed them taking the upmost care of every animal there. I highly recommend them if you need emergency care for your pet.

They have munchies and drinks so if you end up waiting you’re not starving. They took time to answer questions and talk to us. They are so kind and amazing! The goodie bag they sent home was also amazing! They “always keep pets with their owners”! They did mine! I love love love love love them!!!!! Experiencia fantástica: We recently had to take our dog, Benito, to VEG ER for Pets for a very large cut, and it was one of the most stressful situations our family has experienced. From the very first phone call to the moment Benito was discharged, the entire team made us feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Walking in with a hurt pet is overwhelming, but the staff immediately created a sense of calm. Everyone from the receptionist to the technicians to the veterinarian treated us with compassion and professionalism. They took the time to explain everything clearly and never made us feel rushed. Most importantly, they treated Benito with so much tenderness and urgency, as if he were their own. Valeria, in particular, made a lasting impression on my wife and me. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and reassuring throughout the entire visit. She showed Benito so much love and compassion, and her warmth truly made the experience easier during a very emotional time. When it comes to value for the price, we absolutely feel the care, communication, and expertise we received were worth it. In an emergency, trust matters most, and VEG earned ours. We are deeply grateful for everything they did for Benito and our family.

Experiencia fantástica: Out of town visitors with a dog who was not well … and needed to ensure nothing serious. I picked VEG by their ratings and reviews. Everything I had read (positive) was accurate. Caring, compassionate and thorough. Even if a staff member was not directly involved with Tank’s care … they came and interacted in a positive manner. While there, we witnessed some pets not being lucky to have a good diagnoses … and the sympathy and compassion given by the staff was sincere and caring. I would recommend this clinic to anyone needing emergency care for their non-human family member. Thanks so much for the attention given to Tank.

Better than the other 2 I have been to over the years- now that I have more time I want to elaborate on my review - everytime I entered the clinic. Someone jumped out of their chair to open the door for me if I had a pet or not. The floor plan is wide open , they treat the pets in the center of the room . So you can see them working on your pet. You aren't sitting in a dark cold examine room For hours wondering how your pet is. The Team jumps right in within minutes of you waking in the door with your pet and they are sharp as tacks. They know exactly what to do. Techs and the Vets . And I don't know where they find such joyful competent people. But they were so kind and professional . Makes a miserable situation tolerable. Not only that you can visit your pet night and day - I came by 4 times when my dog was hospitalized. And babied him And fed him . Sadly my dog didn't make it. But it's not because they didn't try. I highly recommend. I wouldn't go anywhere else

I really couldnt be more thankful to them. My dog is older and they really gave me all the answers I needed, on an emergency basis. They really care so much and its shows!

Experiencia fantástica: Their care was outstanding! And all the staff were so kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and patient. And everyone had a great attitude and seemed to work together so well to care for both pets and their owners. As a medical professional, I wasn’t sure how the open concept would work, but it does! I think that is in large part to the staff’s attitudes and professionalism. All the docs and techs who cared for my pet were top notch. I’ve heard they are a bit more expensive, but I have nothing to compare with. I hope to not need them, but if I do, I’ll definitely go back.

I have taken my dogs to several other 24 hour emergency vets in Tucson and VEG was by far the best. I particularly like their policy of trying to keep the owner with their pet as much as possible. A great clinic and I highly recommend it !

Experiencia fantástica: We had a pet emergency. From the first phone call, I felt like they cared. They explained everything and even sent a link to check in. I got there and basically met us at the door, assisted getting my dog inside. Dr. Hageman was so kind and She explained everything in detail and so I could understand it. Answered every question. She was very calm under pressure. Every staff member was 100% attentive and kind. They are a well oilled machine- they all knew there jobs, got them done efficiently and so very gentle with my pet. I appreciate all there help.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing. First time in a long while where I have seen vets who actually care and dont want to wrap you up in a bill as much as they can. Quick, kind, honest, and very informative service. They will now forever be my go-to emergency services for my animals

Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately, I have been here 4 times in the last year with my 17 year old Pomeranian. The first time he had vestibular symptoms that ended up being a double ear infection. He was triaged a bit lower bc people had life-threatening emergencies (understandable), so we were there a long time with him screaming bc he was so dizzy. A tech made me French fries. We got him calmed down and treated and when I went out to my car several hours later about 11pm my car battery was dead. A couple of techs came out to help me jump it. Absolute angels! The second time he had an insane eye injury where his left eye protruded and was bleeding. Later determined to be immune attack or blood vessel fragility. We showed up at 3am or so. Again, great thorough care and lots of education. The third time we came in he was having horrible GI pain and symptoms high lipase and pancreatitis. A tech made me a latte. And we got taken care of with lots of education. The fourth time was more confusing and obscure - less than 3 weeks later. After further workup he was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease that had been masked by somewhat normal bloodwork. I was given a clean t shirt when an accident happened. Dr Russo spent a significant amount of time reviewing education, diet, meds, potential staging, next steps, etc. I called 2 days later with a ? and the techs remembered my little guy. They also remembered him from the 3rd to 4th visit. Tho I am not happy to be so familiar with this place, I am incredibly grateful for their ongoing quality personal care, professionalism, and the fact they can do so much in-house diagnostic work to expedite treatment and feel better faster. I’m here waiting for meds refill and Dr Shaheen remembered me from visit 3 and asked after Tucker. <3 Tho he doesn’t appreciate the pokes, it’s all done in love - Tucker says thank you!

Experiencia fantástica: What a great facility with the most caring and talented staff! They saved my puppy Skeeter’s life by performing a very complicated surgery. I am so thankful for their attentiveness and expertise! I would not hesitate to go back with any health related emergency and will recommend them to other pet parents.

Experiencia negativa: I took my pet there and as soon as I got there the dr told me that my pet needed an emergency surgery plus all this blood work and other stuff before even getting any x rays or anything. I took him to another doctor and stated that it was nothing of concern or any emergency surgery this place is running a scam taking your money

Experiencia fantástica: The doctors and vet techs at VEG are amazing. The facility is very clean and inviting. My cat Luna gets very spicy when she is scared and they did so well with her. She has seizures so they were careful to not stress her out. I had my son with me and we were there for a little while because my cat was being spicy and one of the amazing ladies got my son some snacks. I can’t recommend them enough when you have a pet emergency. The staff is kind, compassionate and makes sure to do their best to figure out what’s wrong and provide amazing care.

Experiencia fantástica: IF YOU NEED EXTREME HELP, contact these amazing women. We had an extreme medical emergency last night, and were not able to contain our seizing puppy. They were able to send 2 nurses to our house to help contain him and bring him in for help. Not only were they the ONLY place in tucson to provide my boy help, they went above and beyond to make sure that we were okay and he was okay. While waiting in the lobby my boyfriend was given ibuprofen, alleve and even a pillow to rest on. Their lobby has food, water and anything else you would need. When I tell you you want above and beyond veterinary services, come here. They will go to every length possible to make sure your pup is safe and happy.

Experiencia fantástica: This ER Vet is the best possible place to go for your animal's emergency! The Vets and the Vet Assistants are extremely fast, efficient and kind, the moment you walk into the door! The care is personal and respectful for the pet and their owner in a great time of distress. The environment is peaceful and calm, which makes all the difference. I was offered a couch bed and blanket to stay overnight. I am extremely grateful for my dogs recovery and for all the staff who helped me in a most terrifying time.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my dog in for an unforeseen visit, but was very pleased with the service received. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and kind. It was more expensive than I would have liked, but to be expected for an emergency visit. Observing the staff for the time that I was there, they were consistent in their high level of customer service for every person who walked in the door or called in to talk. I would definitely go back if we have another emergency.

Experiencia negativa: My dog is having a bad reaction to a lepto shot she got earlier in the day; left hind quarter, leg and belly all severely swollen on that side; waited over 2.5 hours and paid $200 and was told nothing is wrong and that her left side is symmetrical with her right side. That is CLEARLY NOT THE CASE! She is still severely swollen this morning and very uncomfortable. Very disappointed in the lack of care/service received.

Experiencia fantástica: We needed emergency care of our dog and decided to try VEG. They were amazing. The entire staff was compassionate, caring, friendly and informative. We had to leave our dog overnight and they encouraged us to stay as long as we wanted and to come back to see her later in the evening. I won’t lie and say it was inexpensive but any pet ER is and it was a fair price for the care our dog needed. We hope not to have to go back anytime soon but that will be the first place we go if we need emergency care.

I was stunned at how fast triage was performed on our DaleBouy and it seemed like every person in the entire building was compassionate, praying or concerned for our first son, DaleBouy -who has been a loyal emotional support service animal for my wife throughout her 10+ year chronic Lyme disease battle along with stage 4 lung cancer battle in which DaleBouy gave his ❤️ LOVE and support which has brought her to VICTORY over it as she's been cancer free for 5+ years now!!! Thank you for your dedication to helping us and others get the best medical care for our furry fella and for others with their furry and even hairless family members/pets/companions -all those precious souls who trust in us to seek care for them when needed as we give our love, care and guidance to them throughout their lives.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog got a sticker stuck in his mouth. The staff were wonderful, got us in right away and the Doctor was able to remove the sticker from the roof of our dog's mouth. Then they thoroughly checked him over for other stickers. Great experience! Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my beloved girl cat, KatieKat, to VEG today for a respiratory infection due to a broken tooth. The staff was very supportive and caring, were very gentle with KatieKat, explained everything very thoroughly, and they worked very hard with me in getting the bill covered. 2 hours later, and my cat is feeling better and eating again. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! I highly recommend VEG!

Experiencia fantástica: My ten-year-old springer, Rosie, presented with symptoms of a twisted stomach which was diagnosed almost immediately. I was completely impressed with the open concept. People stayed with their dogs throughout the many procedures, and sat on the floor with them as they recovered from anesthesia. We eventually had to euthanize Rosie. Everyone involved was so compassionate, took as much time with us as we needed. It was all organized and professional. I would give this place ten stars if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: I have to leave not so positive thoughts, I will start by saying though the beginning care and the veterinarian was great, she was very kind, but the other lady acted like I was a parasite due to only having social security as my income, she told stories of how other people spent so much money for their pet who had parvo then that pet died, I had my grandson and daughter in law with me, my grandson heard the stories plus I had to decide to put my puppy down or give her away or be the creep that had to treat her myself, we were led to believe all our dogs will die,I imagine yes that could happen but I live separately from my kids and have kept my puppy away, not due to parvo but common sence since my kids male dogs are not as yet fixed .my grandson is 13 and has his own special dog, yes we need to heard thr truth but it needs to be evaluated as to how to go about this when there is a child there, well I'm happy to say my puppy made it and is a happy playful baby with all new toys I was gentle with her set my house up like a hospital and got the job done

Experiencia negativa: They charged the worse case scenario up front. I did a drop off because it was so late and my son needed to go to bed. They didn’t call me after the exam as promised to let me know what they found. Instead, they wait until after he’s already waking up from sedation to tell me they changed the treatment plan. As pick up it becomes obvious that he was over sedated for the exam. Then, I see got charged $58.55 for OTC wipes that I can buy from petsmart for $20.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is awesome! They basically started the exam as soon as I walked in. My Kuzco had choked pretty bad on a small piece of hamburger I brought him in because I was concerned about his wheezing. Did an exam just in case so I can feel reassured but otherwise he is doing good. They even gave him a pup cup! This is by far my favorite emergency vet experience. Edit: I called them in regards to my three dogs having diarrhea and they talked me through some at home fixes before having to come in. Thank you so much

Experiencia negativa: There is absolutely no way the good reviews are real. These people told me months ago my dog needed to die, She had no quality of life. Then they tried to charge me thousands after I told them we literally had NO money! They said either you pay us with care credit or we put her down free! I said hell no! We walked out without paying anything took our dog to marana the next day and she is still fine today. I was so angry I called and spoke to a manager and they comped my bill. This is not the reason I write this post today. Today I woke up to a dear friend of mine took her poor golden lab here and they charged her $11,000 for surgery that was done incorrectly! They now want thousands more dollars to fix their mistake. This vet needs to be investigated IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! Something is not right here! Do not take your pets here go to the place down the road on river. At the least whatever you do, if they want to put your pet to sleep, please please please get a second opinion. Once they realize they cant scam you out of thousands they want your pet to die!

Experiencia fantástica: If your pet is in need of emergency care don’t hesitate to bring them in to VEG. We went there last night. As soon as we walked into the door we were greeted by a doctor, who immediately started looking at our golden retriever. I witnessed this for every pet that walked into the door also. (No wait) Our dog had eaten a foreign object and had to have emergency surgery. The facility is extremely neat and clean. The whole staff is so caring and you get to stay with your pet the whole time, so they are more comfortable. I highly recommend VEG. Thank you from Nugget and her whole family. We are so grateful for your help.

Beau has had 2 doses of his “putty” & one fee of his probiotic & he finally poo’d without blood in it. Experiencia fantástica: Our pug had a sudden and critical medical emergency, and from the moment we walked through the doors at VEG Tucson, the team was incredible. They didn’t hesitate for a second. As soon as we arrived, they met us right at the entrance, immediately bringing her in and working to save her life. Every member of the staff was compassionate and professional, but what stood out most was their empathy. The doctor clearly explained what was happening and kept us informed every step of the way, helping us make difficult decisions with understanding and care. They gave us closure by helping us understand what had happened. We were able to stay by our girl’s side through every moment, something most emergency hospitals don’t allow, and when it was time to shift from life-saving efforts to end-of-life comfort, they ensured she had dignity, peace, and love surrounding her. They answered all our questions with patience, gave us as much time as we needed, and provided a private, comfortable space to say goodbye. I truly cannot say enough about the compassion and care of this facility and its staff. This was a situation I never wanted to face, but I am so deeply grateful that VEG Tucson was there to help us through it.

Experiencia fantástica: Our 9 week old puppynwas admitted with Parvo and needless to say, we were all very anxious and worried to tears. But, the staff was amazing! They were so compassionate, understanding and patient with us. Not only did they answer all our questions, they treated our little one with so much kindness. They have also given us updates on her twice a day (and the other 30 times we've called lol). If our puppy makes it through this, I will undoubtedly know that it was because of this wonderful staff.

Experiencia fantástica: We brought our little Stitch in for a ruptured anal gland / abcess. The staff was incredibly friendly and caring. They were so compassionate and kind not only to our little fur baby, but us humans too! The provided excellent care and made sure she was appropriately cleaned out and gave her an RX for pain meds and an antibiotic. The report was thorough and the follow up the following day was above and beyond. My little girl is back to her happy self again.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Veterinary Emergency Group in Tucson. My dog was there for about nine hours, during which time they administered extreme sedation multiple times — something I believe should not have been necessary or appropriate. At one point, I even had to instruct the staff to stop giving my dog additional sedation medication, which was very concerning. The wait time was far longer than expected, and the care my dog received did not seem to match the high cost of the visit. To make things worse, I was charged for services that I don’t believe were actually provided. After our visit, I consulted with another veterinarian who reviewed the medication and dose I was instructed to give my dog, and I was told that the prescribed dose was not appropriate. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and very worried about the quality of care and medical judgment at this facility. I truly hope the clinic reviews their sedation practices, medication dosing, communication, and billing policies to ensure better care for other pets and their families.

They took such excellent care of her and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout the time we were there. I was allowed to spend the night and was with my dog the whole time. I feel that she received excellent care and so did I.

Experiencia fantástica: Can’t thank the vet enough (can’t remember her name). A feral cat who lived in our (broken) outdoor fireplace was saved by the vet at Oracle Rd location Tucson. Wilbur couldn’t stand up, a battery of tests were performed and 2 IV’s. It was expensive but he was saved. As we departed the vet said to us, my hope for Wilbur is that he becomes an indoor/outdoor cat. (Very caring). We are happy to report he’s enjoying our house and makes a 30 second lap around the yard and dashes indoors. Our house is now his home. Very sweet boy, thanks!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a long one, but my fiance and I's experience with VEG was nothing short of phenomenal. We took in our little boy Oliver after some blood work tests were done at Banfield that showed insanely high bilirubin levels. The staff at VEG were so beyond quick and dedicated to doing a triage on Oliver and assessing the problem. He had a bile duct obstruction for his gallbladder that needed to be removed by surgery and they were able to see a mass on the pancreas through the ultrasound, but everything was pretty convoluted when it came to his symptoms and issues. They were quick with getting specialists involved and getting down to the bottom of what could be the issue. The doctor who worked with us, Dr. Conway, is a brilliant woman. I could tell how invested and serious she was when looking over Oliver and trying to diagnose what was wrong. It's beyond terrifying to have to bring your fur baby in and not knowing what's going on, but her compassion and knowledge helped ease a bit of that scary overwhelming feeling for our little boy. We were so thankful for her dedication and her willingness to operate on Oliver. The fact that she stayed up to read case studies and learn more about that specific GI surgery just showed us how attentive and thoughtful she was and how in it she was. My little boy was getting the best care he could and we have no doubt about that. Unfortunately even though the surgery went wonderful, the mass they found on the pancreas was highly suspicious of pancreatic carcinoma and recovery was not going so well. Dr. Conway was very honest throughout the whole process and with letting us know that it was probably time to put him to rest. She helped us put him to sleep peacefully on Tuesday, and I could tell just how much she cared with how she was crying along with us and petting him as he crossed over. All of the staff were amazing but we just want to say thank you specifically to Dr. Conway for everything you did for our boy up until the end. Thank you for your patience, for your expertise, and for your continued hard work. Thank you for taking on his case. He was in the best hands. All of the staff who work there treated my boy with so much love and kindness. I would also like to give a shout-out to Rachel, our nurse, for being so sweet with Oliver when getting him hooked up on IVs and medicine. My fiance and I had no idea that a place like this existed. The fact that we were able to stay overnight with our boy in a private room and spend all day with him leading up to his surgery is something that I am just beyond words grateful for. Getting the last two days with my baby is something I will cherish forever, and he was cuddling and purring with us right up til the end. There were no visiting hours either, so even if we did not get the private room, the fact that I could come in any time to see him was really comforting. I truly believe that this place did everything they could for Oliver and that he touched them as much as this experience touched us. We just got our boys ashes and memorabilia back today and even now, Lisa and the rest of the team were nothing but kind. The service here is next level. This place will have our respect and our business forever. I truly do not think there is a better equipped team. I would recommend VEG time and time again to anyone and everyone. Your services are unmatched. Truly, thank you all for everything again. Oliver would say thank you, too. ❤️

Experiencia negativa: The staff was great but they’ve gotta come up with a better system for when your dog passes. My husband was a complete mess taking our dog there (who we woke up to and was already passed). I stayed to keep the kids company and answer all questions. We have been waiting for a paw print, turns out they sent a link via text and we had 48 hours to order it. Now I’m a total mess, our whole family is, and we don’t even have a memento of our first family dog. Him telling the vet should have been enough and they should have done it right then and there or when they brought him back. Charge for it like when you do cremation. This is absolutely absurd and heartbreaking. Complete bullshit.

Experiencia fantástica: It's hard to know where to start. Our cat, Snarf, was 16 1/2 years old and had some health problems, but nothing out of the ordinary. He had some kidney issues but normal for a 16 1/2 year old cat. We took him to our regular vet on 10/20 and had some tests done. On 10/21 they came back with extremely elevated glucose, and our vet suggested we start a treatment that we committed to and an appointment was made for the following Monday. Two days later on Wednesday is where the nightmare began. By Friday 10/24 he was demonstrably weaker, and our vet had no space in the schedule to see him (which proved to be a Godsend). We took him to VEG Oro Valley and immediately the supervising vet and staff members descended on him as a group and started triage and testing with equipment not available at a typical vets office, and results were coming in within minutes. Once the testing and imaging were progressing Dr. Bettencourt was assigned to our case. Snarf was very ill. He had Diabetic Ketoacidosis, and the prognosis was not good on any level. We asked Dr. Bettencourt for an honest assessment and the 2 options were either a long, involved, and painful treatment that had no guarantee of success or return with any quality of life, or to let him transition with compassion, dignity, grace and without any further suffering. We were in shock, but her words were spoken honestly and with authority, empathy, and compassion. The rest of the staff, especially Sabrina who led most of the triage and initial testing were fantastic. We were with Snarf the entire time from start to end we never once left his side. We were then given a private room to spend time with Snarf - given all the time we needed - and when we and he were ready, he transitioned without any pain. We will never forget Snarf, who was the glue of our family, and we'll never forget the care and attention he received at the end of his life by the staff at VEG and as led by Dr. Bettencourt - all an amazing group of individuals dedicated to helping us and our companions in what are some of their darkest hours. Thank you, VEG, and Godspeed, Snarf.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my second experience with VEG and it was as positive as the first one. My Dutch Shepherd, Liza, was bitten by a rattlesnake so I immediately brought her to VEG. Liza is a very protective dog so the staff respected her boundaries and she earned their trust. The VEG concept and business model is complete transparency, never separating pet from its human, which reduces stress for both the animal and owner. The doctors, nursing staff and employees at the reception desk are all wonderful. A special shout out to Sabrina and Hannah who took exceptionally good care of my girl. If my dog ever needs urgent care again I wouldn't consider any other animal hospital. Veggies all the way!

Experiencia fantástica: Went to my regular vet and was recommended to come here for surgery to get a wound sutured surgically for my dog. Called first to check in and the person on the phone was super helpful and nice. I got there and triage was very helpful within the first 5 seconds of arrival. Once checked i knew there would be a wait which there was. During the wait anytime a member of the staff passed by they checked to see if me or my dog needed anything. We were offered drinks, snacks, a dog bed, and a private room for my anxious dog. They were even ordering coffee for the staff and asked every patient if they wanted anything on the house. When time for surgery for my dog came it was fast, safe and clean. It cost about $50 less than the quote stated. The staff was so helpful and sweet to my dog and myself. The staff clearly cares about the animals and their owners that they treat. Hopefully I don’t need to go back for emergency services but if I do I will happily go back here and I will feel like I am getting the best care possible.

The facility is extremely clean, the staff are all kind, patient and professional and the vibe is peaceful. All tests are available on site with immediate results, all results were explained in detail and the follow up course was also covered in detail. From beginning to end the entire visit made me confident I could safely bring my pets here!

Experiencia fantástica: This place was so incredibly amazing. We went in when our cat was sick and open mouth breathing. They took us in immediately and made sure we were comfortable. They offered drinks and snacks to us. They were so great with our cat and sent us home with medications. The next day our cats eye got very swollen so we came back and they didn’t charge another visit, just for the medications. Our cat was better within 24 hours. They were so great with us and our baby and couldn’t be more happy with them. Would definitely recommend going here in an emergency.

Experiencia fantástica: We took our curious hound mix, Roger, to VEG to be treated for a rattlesnake bite a few nights ago. He loves sticking his nose into any hole in the ground and we think that’s how he found the snake in our backyard. We didn’t see the snake but he came into the house with bloody fang marks on his nose. We rushed him to VEG, recommended by our vet. We were immediately taken to a triage area in the spacious, open-concept treatment center. We had comfortable seating right next to the dog bed they provided. Many doctors and vet techs gave Roger excellent care, pain meds and an IV of antivenin. We were given clear and patient answers to all our questions. Roger stayed overnight to be monitored and given another blood test. We opted to go home knowing that he was in capable hands. VEG called us early in the morning to report that he was ready to be picked up. They said he slept well, got lots of pets, and was showing his sweet personality. We returned the next morning for a follow up blood test that showed he’s on his way to recovery. We have tremendous gratitude to everyone at VEG for taking care of him plus providing much appreciated support to us.

Experiencia fantástica: Of course any ER visit is a stressful time, but the 2 times I had to visit this office with my Harley, the entire staff was comforting, compassionate, and gave her the most thorough care. I like the open office as everyone always had eyes on my girl watching her to make sure she was ok. It was recommended that we visit a neurologist due to multiple seizures and we are now hopefully on the mend. Thank you for the amazing treatment you gave Harley as well as getting us in the right direction to making her feel better!

Experiencia fantástica: I took 2 of my dogs to VEG within 5 days of eachother. 1 for an infected paw (thanks goat head prickers) & 1 for a dislocated hip. Both visits were met with wonderful caring staff. I truly cannot say enough good things about the staff and experience i had at both visits. This review probably will not do the staff justice, they truly go above and beyond - when you think of quality care, its VEG. They're attentive, CARE about your fur baby's pain/discomfort & overall well being, they're knowledge, and affordable (especially for emergency care). They also allow payment plans through affirm (if approved through affirm) which was also a nice surprise, they also have payment plans through CareCredit if needed/approved as well. As for the visit process every step of the way you're with your pet & know exactly what's going on and why. Weather you have a friendly fur baby, a terrified/skittish baby, or a reactive one - i would bring them here hands down, their needs will be met with the upmost care and respect. I truly cannot thank VEG enough for the care they provided my dogs. Although it wasn't ideal circumstances it was still the best vet experience we've had. THANK YOU!

Dr Poon was extremely informative and explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. The two vet nurses were so friendly and welcoming and they kept me laughing and comforted in one of the most stressful times in my life right now. I wish that I could have them as a part of my pets primary care team because Remington and I have never been treated so well at a veterinary office. Usually everyone is terrified of Remi because he’s a Malinois, but these ladies were AMAZING and made Remi as comfortable as they could. THANK YOU❤️

If your pet needs emergency care, this is the place you want to take them. Within the first 5 minutes of entering the facility I knew at 1am, that I had made the right decision. I was involved in every step of care, the staff ensured my comfort as well, in the 18 hours we were there I witnessed docs, nurses and staff working tirelessly in surgeries , triage with care and compassion. Highly recommend. Thank you VEG Oro Valley, I didn’t think my pooch would be home this morning.

Experiencia fantástica: In the early morning hours of October 3, after a few bouts of unusual behavior on our dog's part, we arrived at Veterinary Emergency Group and immediately noticed a difference from a regular vet/emergency office. The open concept is startling for people who are used to the normal office concept but after being there for a bit, we appreciated it. As it turned out, our German shepherd has a serious condition and obstacles to overcome, but the compassion, concern, and love for animals is clearly a requirement to be a part of the staff. He was scheduled for surgery later that afternoon, and they allowed us to be part of the process (as much as we were comfortable with) from the ultrasound to the pre-op protocols to watching the surgery itself (we declined) through the OR windows. We were given a room for the night, complete with pillows, blankets, toiletries, snacks, so we could be with our dog when he was ready to leave the recovery area. Knowing I could be with my dog in his most stressful time, eased some of my own stress. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Vossler, who was our initial, middle, and last doctor who kept us informed along the way; Dr. Betancourt who, even though she was kept busy with the usual traffic, took the time to go over all of the options and who did the actual surgery later that day (and seems to thrive on challenge); and Dr. Conway, who was honest about only wanting to send us home if our dog was ready and met all of the requirements. Charlie (our pup) was loved after his surgery by his nurse, Rachel (and I mean LOVED!), and in very good hands the following day with his nurse, Maddie. The surgical techs. Lyra and Sabrina, who assisted Dr. Betancourt with the operation were so patient and careful with Charlie and reassured us he was in good hands. Then there was Lisa, (who I assume is in parent/customer care) who took care of me and my husband, making sure we had something to eat, checking up on us throughout the day, and even giving us a jump start when our car wouldn't start. Again, kudos to the entire staff, for as I stated previously, it is obvious that they are truly compassionate animal lovers. While we all hope we do not need the services of an emergency vet, if you find yourself in such a situation, do not hesitate to bring your beloved pets here.

Experiencia negativa: Horrible people. My cat fractured it's leg presumably, and I called them to verify services. They lied about the exam fee being 155, and tried to charge us 185. My girlfriend drove from Sierra Vista at 9:45 pm she arrived around 11 pm. She waited in the waiting room until 3 am before someone finally reached out to her, while others arrived after and were seen sooner. The exam consisted of a brief glance, and a like at the leg just to say they require a 700 dollar fee for an X-ray and some other mysterious charges to verify. That's okay because one of the employees willingly allowed us to surrender her and they had her treated and would keep her. The most egregious part, is my girlfriend tried to call for closure and was denied any form of it. We just wanted to know what the Injury was so we could ensure no other harm comes to our others. I absolutely detest a company that lacks even the smallest amount of empathy.

Experiencia fantástica: Yearerday, I had a very sick dog and was super stressed out. I’d left the house without breakfast and with a very uncomfortable dog—Lucy—feeling worried, harried and uncertain. They were very welcoming to her and we chilled in their hipster open-concept ER for the day. She was pet and served whipped cream and fluids under her skin. I was given lattes and granola bars. I liked the seltzer bar with optional electrolytes and vitamins. I tried every flavor I think . Her tests were thorough, (expensive) and helped me make informed choices about my senior dog’s next steps. The vet was compassionate and understood my comfort-care focus. Today, Lucy seems to be springing back and at the very least, I know her symptoms are being managed. She was given multiple medications and is eating and walking around again. For it being a pretty rough experience for us, it was not that bad. Also the other families were nice and it was interesting to see other dogs and cats care. Overall it was a validating and helpful experience that I’ll willingly be paying off for a bit. I trusted the staff’s focus, calmness and warmth, even w/ a random car fire out front of the building. (A tale for another day.) Two paws up.

Experiencia fantástica: Having to go through an emergency with a loved one is never easy and having to also make a life changing decision is even harder. This is the situation my husband and I found ourselves in early Monday morning. Our beloved dog Alice started having seizures and they wouldn't stop. We took her into VEG around 2am. The team there took her right away and started working on her vigilantly. Talked to us about her history ext. Unfortunately, after talking and the condition she was in and her advanced age, we decided it was time to let her go over the rainbow bridge. Never an easy decision to make. Dr Leslie Cohen and her amazing support team helped us through this with kindness and compassion. They gave all they had to our girl in the end, and we will be ever eternally grateful to them for that. It's hard to say it was a good experience considering what happened, but they made it, so we were able to say goodbye in peace and comfort. Thank you for all you do.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend! Our dog Mia protected me from a rattlesnake attack while on a walk the other evening. We were seen immediately upon entering the facility. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and cared for Mia like she was their own. I was worried about the cost and they worked with me to create a medical plan that I could afford. We were allowed to stay with Mia the entire time and were always included in discussions about what to expect and what was happening. We even stayed with Mia overnight in a private room with a pull out sofa bed at no extra cost. I am extremely satisfied! I hope that Mia is able to avoid future emergencies, but if she does need ER vet care, I will be returning here! Special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Conway and Alexis!

Experiencia negativa: I am really upset with this place. Last night a client of mine brought her pregnant female into the vet who was in distress with puppies. She explained what was going on and that the mom had blood and had dark green substance and had been straining and they told her to go home that the green was normal. They never checked to find a puppy was stuck in the birth canal and as a result after taking her to another vet this morning, two of 5 puppies died with two more struggling to maintain..literally stated to the client they did not “ want to waste her money to do an X-ray or ultrasound all because she said she did. It have a lot of money or credit… it’s all about money and definitely not the care.

Experiencia fantástica: My sweet puppy got into something toxic and had to stay overnight. The entire staff was SO kind and considerate with every person and pet including myself and Prophecy. They were all very aware of contagians and if vet techs had handled a parvo puppy earlier in the shift they fully avoided my puppy (even though shes fully vaccinated) just to keep her safe. They continously checked on and praised the animals who were admitted overnight without their owners, and it was clear these animals were still getting around the clock high level care and even being given consistent outside potty breaks if appropriate even without owners there to monitor. I wanted to stay with my puppy overnight and they gave me a room with a bed for me and her where we could sleep together while she finished her meds and monitoring. They also had the best snacks, coffee and drinks and lots of activities for kids if you needed to bring your young children in with you and your pet. Very expensive (though they did work with me to nearly cut my bill in half which was so appreciated and tried to do cheap rule outs before diving into expensive tests) but the high price makes total sense for a very high end emergency room such as this one, especially after hours. Will for sure be my go to pet emergency room moving forward. I really love that you can comfortably stay with your pet if you choose to but also can fully trust your baby will get the same high end attention and care if you dont want to stay or cant stay.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff there was absolutely amazing. they were compassionate, attentive, and took great care of my dog after he was bitten by a rattlesnake. Thankfully, it was a minor bite on his neck, but they treated him with patient and care. Even tho it took hours, but they never rushed and made sure he was stable before we left. Thanks to them, he is now home and recovering wonderfully. I highly recommend this emergency veterinary group to anyone who needs compassionate and expert care for their pet.
