Experiencia fantástica: Unfortunately my German shepherd had been throwing up and with diarrhea all weekend. Finally after failed attempts at home we took him in and he was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatitis and hge. The staff was amazing! He did have to be hospitalized 3 days due to his severe case but we were able to visit and spend time with him. The staff was very helpful and caring! Once home he was back to his normal self. Even took my pillow!

Experiencia fantástica: I will be eternally grateful for this practice. They have helped me at every stage of being a pet owner. From saying goodbye to my best friend , unexplained illness and most recently taking care of my precious Pug, Birdie, who was experiencing anaphylactic shock. They expertly work together as a team. From Jen at the front desk, the technicians and the physicians. Not only did they take exceptional care of Birdie, they took care of me as well.

Experiencia fantástica: All of my experience was excellent. My sweet dog swallowed a silicone spatula head in a stupid accident in an instant before I could stop it. They made me feel comfortable and that she was safe. They contacted me numerous times throughout her 24hr stay to let me know they loved her and she was doing well. Great place with great signs. So be nice to them.

Experiencia negativa: Flawed documentation of services, story of events changed mutiple times and they lacked supervision of pets coming off anesthesia. My 14 month healthy cat passed away under their care. They did not aquire proper legal documentation nor were they able to tell me how much anesthesia was used because no one documented it. He passed away from his lungs filling up with fluid after anesthesia.(somthing that happens when not enough oxygen is given after sedation). He was not monitored properly afterwards and had already passed by the time they checked on him. Not recording the anesthesia amount given ... illegal. Absolutely DO NOT lleave your pet in their care.
Experiencia fantástica: Our nearly 12 year old mini schnauzer woke us up at 3 am whining and could suddenly no longer move his back legs or get up.We rushed him to this ER Animal Hospital and were helped immediately. The front office staff, the techs and the vet were all efficient, competent and most of all, kind and caring to us and our little buddy. Dr. Burnett was professional and knowledgeble in presenting our options for treatment. His explanations were very helpful to our decision making. Unfortunately, our dog’s condition had a very poor prognosis due to a preexisting pituitary tumor that had apparently caused pressure on his brain structures resulting in neuro symptoms. We decided not to put him through any more futile treatments. The staff gave us time with him before and after. They made a devastating decision more tolerable and we very much appreciate this dedicated group of people.

Experiencia fantástica: Our sweet dog got suddenly extremely ill in the middle of the night during the recent ice storm. We are, unfortunately, very familiar with EAHCC as he has had 2 other visits for pancreatitis and swallowing something he shouldn't have. The staff rushed him in for diagnosis, imaging and labs while reducing his pain. A mass on his spleen was discovered. The vet was very up front about cost estimates and risks and that we had the option of using our regular vet for a likely cost savings. We decided not to wait for our vet to reopen and had him go into surgery immediately. There was no telling when the ice would melt for the vet to reopen and we wanted him to receive round-the-clock care with vets onsite 24/7 to monitor for and manage any complications, as he'd need up to 36 hours of monitoring following a splenectomy. The vets were good about texting updates every 12 hours or so and we could always call to speak to a tech for an update sooner. I'll be honest: you're definitely going to pay out the wazoo for this kind of care, but when it really matters I'm so grateful that EAHCC is there.

I made multiple calls to check up on my little girl and the staff was more than happy dealing with me. We were greeted warmly, seen promptly, and had all of our options and costs explained so that we could make the best medical decisions we could for our pet. Experiencia negativa: I did not appreciate the veterinarian on staff January 17, 2026. I am disabled but in order to handle my small dog I left my cane in the car and my walker at home. My little white dog is one of four and she ate something that was poisonous throwing up non stop for 3 hours. The staff and the tech Darrin were compassionate to my financial concerns the veterinarian not so much. Darrin took my little fur baby back to the vet and the vet promptly came back and referred me to go to the urgent clinic in Dallas because an Xray alone at this emergency clinic would cost $600. So I was discriminated because of my disability status. My fur baby threw up in my car all the way into Dallas then at City Vet she stopped. The veterinarian at City Vet was compassionate and exceptionally intelligent in diagnosing the problem without any blood work or X-ray. Gastroenteritis probably ingesting foreign material my baby should not have. IV fluids were ordered canned food easy on digestion, and an injection for nausea and vomiting. The tech even supplied me with puppy pads to help clean up my car. The Plano emergency clinic could have done the same and it would have been within my budget however it seem to me I was not worth this vet’s time. I will never be back.
Experiencia fantástica: Highly responsive with a highly competent and focused staff. Vets are knowledgeable and take their time to explain course of action. First took my dogs in for a copperhead bite. Problem was solved immediately (treatment) and in 3-4 days all was normal. That was 3 years ago. Same quality services being delivered today. Experiencia fantástica: Intake was calm and to the point. Great care was taken at every step with our cat. Very little waiting before talking to a vet. Our vet went above and beyond conferring with other teams for a potential diagnosis and solutions. Once the issue was found we had a plan, a quick estimate of the cost, and a simple process to pay for services. We went through two other, more serious, possible diagnosis before landing on the correct one. This was heart wrenching, and I would prefer waiting for some initial tests to be completed before hearing from the vet. I'm sure not everyone feels the same and I know it was because of the time sensitive nature for their treatments. All things considered, our cat received excellent care and diagnostics and we are thrilled with the outcome.

Experiencia fantástica: We were at the ER late at night (11pm–4am) with our cat, and I’m incredibly grateful for the care we received. Dr. Ashley Tutherow was extremely thorough and thoughtful, and while it was a very stressful situation - and i wasnt at my best, I’m very thankful she was persistent and careful in making sure nothing was missed. Jennifer at the front desk and Jordan the vet tech were also wonderful — kind, patient, and supportive throughout the entire visit. Nobody likes to be in the ER, but this team made us feel heard, supported, and confident that little Jax was receiving thoughtful, thorough care. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Experiencia fantástica: The Emergency Animal Medical Hospital of Collin Country was so instrumental in saving my cat’s life. Dr. Burnett performed extensive surgery to repair multiple wounds to my cat following a brutal predator attack. Natalie and Melissa, his vet tech’s during his stay were so kind with my emotions and sent me texts throughout the day and night with Pocket’s progress. They answered my questions and put my fears at ease. Gemma, front desk staff, was the first person I met when I came on New Year’s Eve. She had such a kind presence and peaceful demeanor. All staff at the emergency animal hospital were incredible. I am so grateful to them for saving my cats life!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog was injured on New Years Day. He was able to see a doctor almost immediately and I was updated throughout the day on his progress. The vets and staff work very hard 24 hour hours a day, 7 days a week.

Experiencia fantástica: Really competent and kind people. The Dr. diagnosed my dog's extreme pain in a timely manner and got us home with medicine within a couple of hours. My dog was the least sick/injured of all the dogs that were there. These people really do see it all - Yikes! I was a little traumatized just seeing the other animals come through the waiting room. They are amazing people. I don't know how they do it!

Experiencia negativa: My mom brought her 14 week old kitten here around 6am due to an accident with my 2 year old niece closing the refrigerator door on him unknowing he had just ran in there. He was perfectly fine afterwards than about 5 hrs later he woke my mom up screaming in the middle of the night in pain. Regretfully she chose this “vet” instead of the Dallas location. BEFORE they even saw the kitten they made her agree to pay over 1k and her being frantic just agreed to it. They didn't believe a thing she said and thought what had happened was intentional, the way she was crying and hyperventilating should’ve said otherwise. They did not give her kitten ANY pain meds and just stuck him in an oxygen incubator for over a hour knowing he was in pain. My mom would have paid anything in order for him to have surgery and be brought home healthy but they refused saying the recovery “pain” would have been too much for him. So now you guys care about pain? Of course x-rays didn’t show anything, they insisted his jaw was broken when it in fact was not and my mom kept saying that over and over again. Didn’t even offer any bloodwork, mri, anything. Instead of helping with this devastating loss they added onto it. They charged for the X-ray, iv, the meds to be put to sleep and then to be PUT to sleep and it all was over $1,000. POS. They didn’t know that a couple months ago we had to put down our 19 year old cat due to getting sick of old age, she didn’t want another one after that because it was heartbreaking but decided otherwise and it was the best thing possible. He could have been saved. It was unfortunate they brought him here and I want to warn anyone if you need a life saving measure done on any of your fur babies go somewhere else. Even if this place is 2 minutes from your house.

Experiencia negativa: The purpose of emergency medical care is to provide help, not to drain outrageous amounts of money from pet owners. You don’t need to be a doctor to understand an already established diagnosis, yet they acted as if basic clarity was beyond their responsibility. There was no compassion, no medical ethics, and absolutely no intention to help. This clinic is nothing but pure commercial greed, hiding behind the word “emergency.” I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you truly care about your pet, stay away — this clinic is only interested in profit, not in saving lives.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Tutherow was informative and friendly. She went over x rays in detail after finding a foreign object stuck in our dog’s stomach. After a couple hours in the hospital we decided surgery was the route to take. Dr. Tutherow contacted me before starting the surgery and again as soon as it was completed. She did a fantastic job and we brought our dog home about 24 hours later. I would recommend this clinic, specifically Dr. Tutherow, to any family with an animal needing help. They even returned money to the credit card we used, not overcharging for things that ended up unnecessary during his stay.

Experiencia negativa: The hospital is very clean and convenient, however the cost is so outrageously expensive. I brought my cat in on a Sunday and waited an hour before they even looked at my cat. The cost for just the tests was about $1,400 without any treatments. When I balked at the price, the doctor did recommend a less expensive animal urgent care vet in Dallas. I really appreciate that I was told about that option.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my dog in because he was able to relieve himself and refused to eat. We found out he had a blockage from a urinary stone. Dr. Brian Thomas explained the issue as well as the costs associated with the treatment. He was able to push the stone back up into my dog's bladder and I was able to take him to my primary vet the next day. Dr. Thomas is the best!

Experiencia negativa: Only thing these people seem to be worried about is money they charged me $4,500 before they would even look at him. The prognosis was bleak and it broke my heart and they wanted another $4,500 to keep them for two days more to see if he gets better I didn't have it so I had this euthanize my cat and I've been crying for a week. I wouldn't go I wouldn't go there again no matter what...
Experiencia fantástica: Our dog was extremely sick in the middle of the night and needed surgery at the neighboring DVSC. They took care of her while waiting for the operation in the morning and during recovery afterwards. They were extremely communicative, and genuinely cared about our dog and her well being, as well as how we were doing while she was away from home. They were accurate for their estimates around timing, and while we did have to wait briefly when we first came in due to a critical case, even then we didn't have to wait very long. While emergency medicine is never cheap, they were also reasonable and transparent in their pricing, and I never felt like I was getting nickle and dimed for every little thing. Overall they were fantastic, and my only regret is that they're too far away from us to be our default emergency vet.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the best experience with bringing my little cavalier in at 11pm on a Sunday night. She had started vomiting blood and was so concerned. I was taken right back to a room where the tech quickly got details of why I was there, said the doctor would be right in after he had a chance to look Gracie over. He came back in told me what he wanted to do, I approved and within an hour, she had bloodwork, results, IV fluids, a Cerenia shot, B12 shot, her meds and we were ready to leave. Poor baby had pancreatitis. Her doctor was so kind and compassionate, as was the vet tech and the front desk who helped me when I came in. I give them a perfect 10. The other thing was they could have upcharged me for X-rays, and other things but did not and told me if they did not have answers then they would come talk to me about additional tests. They were everything I could have asked for that night.

Experiencia negativa: Zero star! We were there with our pup on September 29. We mentioned that we had traveled to Colorado and were worried about Rocky Mountain Fever. We go through full panel, X-rays. We asked for the RMF tick test. Were told a few hours later that he tested negative and everything else looked ok. Next day, our pup is getting worse. We go to our vet, we mention to her that he tested negative for RMF, so we're looking at every other possibility and we did another tick test. That same evening we rush him to another hospital to see if we could do a CT scan. We also mentioned that he's negative for RMF. So again, we're testing for everything else. We keep him overnight. By the next morning, he's bleeding internally. We suspect cancer at this point. They tell us that they could not do a CT scan that day for some reason. We bring him back home and next day because of his suffering and intense internal bleeding we had to let him go. After his death, the second tick test results came back and the results were positive for RMF. So the the doctor is either incompetent or we were just lied to.Do not bring your precious pet there, they employ very incompetent doctors or you are just being lied to. Now we have to go through guilt, extreme pain, and anger. We cannot properly mourn our loss. Our pup did not have to go through all of this... if that vet had an ounce of competency. His license needs to be revoked.

Experiencia positiva: Overall, the experience was good. Our dog was bitten by a snake and the hospital administered antivenom. The staff provided effective treatment, and we’re grateful for that. The only issue was with the payment process. We were 12 hours away when our dog was taken in and weren’t sure how to handle payment. We signed an agreement to pay and assumed treatment would begin, but later found out they wouldn’t start until payment was received. We didn’t receive the payment link right away, which caused a 3 hour delay that could have been life-threatening. I’d appreciate clearer communication in the future—both over the phone and by email—so owners know exactly how and when to pay to avoid any delay in treatment.

Experiencia fantástica: We rushed in because Ms. Lexi ripped off one of her du claws. We googled and found Emergency Animal Hospital. We walked in and were greeted and got signed in. They quickly came out and took her back. After a few minutes of waiting the doctor came out and spoke with us about a med she takes for her hips. He wanted to make sure any meds they prescribed for Ms. Lexi wouldn’t have any reactions to what she is taking. He explained what was done and what medication would be sent home and how to care for her exposed quick. Her paw was wrapped up. She is doing fine and is now walking on her paw. They were very nice and very efficient and explained everything to us very well. Thank you all.

Experiencia fantástica: Took our sweet kitty Milo there a little over a week ago because he was lethargic and had already been to his vet with no answers. I had a bad experience with a different emergency vet in the past which left me with some trauma and so I was worried about taking him and leaving him, but here they let me ask all my questions and be crazy cat mama without hesitation! Doctor “E” was amazing and answered all of them! Julia at the front desk was reassuring and super helpful! The next morning we came back to pickup our sweet boy and he was back to his old self already, looking for belly rubs even! We were THRILLED and so so happy to see him already back to his old self within 14ish hours. Turns out he had pancreatitis and is now just needing a special diet! Austin talked with my husband and I and troubleshooted his new diet and care plan and gave us so much peace of mind with the journey ahead! One week later on his new diet and he is thriving! We cannot thank the Emergency animal hospital of Collin county for helping us get our baby back!

For my dog’s condition and the amount of business they had, they got my dog to the back in a short amount of time. I did have a hiccup with billing where I was mistakenly charged for a follow-up, which was frustrating at first, but after reaching out, the issue was sorted out and refunded. Experiencia negativa: My dog was miss diagnosed, they had me in a complete panic. I believe they take complete advantage of a stressful situation. They diagnosed my dog with pancreatitis and possibly cancer. They gave her a shot for nausea and sent me home with two different types of tablets. Next morning my dog was not improving, I took her to our vet. She reviewed the blood work from the ER hospital and stated her blood work shows no signs of pancreatitis or cancer. Her blood work was normal. She also said, if she did have pancreatitis they did not provide you with the correct medication and she should have stayed over night. My dog had gastritis, simply, an upset stomach. My vet gave her meds for the nausea, diarrhea, meds to reduce the inflammation in her GI, antibiotics and 6 cans of GI food, $200. My invoice at the ER hospital was $1100 and they would not bring my dog to me until the bill was paid. This facility is not here to help animals in there time of need, they are there to make money off of people’s emotions! Do not take your animal here!

Experiencia fantástica: I took my two goldendoodles in after I found they had eaten three weeks worth of canine ibuprofen in one sitting. I was frazzled and panicked. Every person from the sweet girl at the front desk, each vet tech, and the two vets were kind, patient, and considerate. They showed my two dogs love and kindness as though they were their own. (One is a 12-year-old mini goldendoodle who is very cantankerous.) The vets were thorough in their examination and explained what Needed to be done clearly impatiently. I never felt talked down to or that they would not take excellent care of my dogs. I hope you never need this, but if you do. Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County is the place you want to be.

Experiencia negativa: Had a terrible experience here. Our cat had thrown up a couple of times & was lethargic. Went to ER agreed to $175 evaluation. Doc comes in room & proceeds to hand me an estimate for $1200 for blood work, xrays & anti nausea shot and tells me the xray has to be sent out to a specialist??? You are an ER facility and can’t read an xray to see if a foreign object is present? We cant do an in house xray then proceed with blood work if needed?? Their business model is strictly designed to prey on peoples emotions BANKING they will agree to stupid financial decisions. I am never opposed to businesses making money, but I also recognize bill padding and out of line charges when I see them. I have had sticker shock at this place before so the stupidest thing I did was go back for more punishment- that is on me.I chuckled at their $1200, paid the entry fee, took my cat and left. $2-300 would have been plenty to give a diagnosis so we could make a sound decision. Instead we encountered predatory business practices in my opinion. Shame on them.

Kevin the tech was very thorough going over at home care when discharged. I called several times after we got home and nobody acted bothered by my questions and encouraged me to call back with more if needed. This was a drastic difference from what we had been dealing with locally and worth the 1 hour drive. Thank you for everything!

Experiencia negativa: The veterinarian was very kind, patient and caring - toward us and toward our ailing dog. We will always be grateful to her for saving the life of the dog we love so much. The front desk person ( Hispanic female) was as bad as bad gets. Rude, disrespectful, cold as ice. Through her actions, words and general attitude, she made a traumatic situation so much worse than it needed to be for our family and, days later, we are still upset about the way she treated us. IMO, This person is NOT someone who has the proper temperament to interact with distraught animal lovers in an emergency setting. I will tell all of my many, many animal loving friends and pet owners that in the unhappy event they must go to this animal ER, they should try their best not to interact with this particular employee. We certainly won’t.

Experiencia negativa: If your pet isn’t in a life-threatening situation, avoid this place. They’ll try to take every penny. I took my 10 lb dog in for vomiting — was there 20 mins, paid nearly $1,000 for basic bloodwork, a few probiotics, and an old, crystallized antibiotic I couldn’t even use. My dog was still sick until I saw a regular vet, who diagnosed seasonal allergies and gave proper meds. Now he’s fine. This place preys on desperate owners. Not worth it, especially if you’re on a budget.

Experiencia negativa: If you have any once of love for your pet do not take them here. This place is a scam. They do not care for your pet, its either you have $5900 to spend that night when banks or close or ur pet is left to die. No payment plan, no empathy. Feeling helpless unable help to yout pet because you cant pay, thinking they will die that night without immediate surgery. Payed over $1000 for the ex ray and blood work. Not only that but they have a $40 an hour so if your animal need 24hour observation boom $960 alone. Thankfully with the help of my friend I found (Denton Count Animal ER) they were empathetic have a payment plan and in the end it costed me $3900 but they had payment plans so I payed $247 that night and he had the surgery that night as well. They also give you a QR Code to scan to set up the payment plan, which is so much easier than trying to find one online. The doctor kept me updated for when my baby went into surgery when he got out of surgery and how he was doing. Now he is home cuddling with me with a cute cone on his head. Do not trust this place.

Experiencia negativa: We arrived with my dog after he had shown signs of back pain, limping and yelping in pain. I have a newborn baby and had no one to watch her during this urgent situation. The receptionist seemed to take her time checking us in, she continued to have a casual conversation with a colleague about broadway shows and they were laughing together, as I stood there carrying a 20lb dog. I clearly had my hands full with the baby in a car seat and an injured dog. When asked when he will be seen she said “he’s stable, it’s not an urgent situation” without evaluating him or seeing his symptoms. When the technicians came out to see my dog, they seemed distracted by a conversation in the waiting area and were not listening to what I was explaining - asking the same questions a few times. One picked up my dog without support to his spine, after I said he seemed like he has a back injury. He proceeded to walk away with my dog with no information on what was happening or what to expect. They would not allow me to go into the back with my dog either. We actually ended up leaving and going to another vet as I immediately was not feel comfortable with this location caring for my dog.

Experiencia negativa: I previously posted a great review of this place but honestly, my opinion has greatly changed. And I previously only posted a good review because I was so appreciative to the specific doctor that worked with me on the cost of treatment. About two months ago, we took my dog into this facility as he had gotten into a fight with another one of our dogs after our vet had closed and he needed stitches. The doctor came into the room and told us it was gonna be $900 for eight staples. This of course included medicine and everything else. I was appalled at the cost but I left a good review because they were able to get the bill down to about $300 by taking off the doctors portion of the payment. She essentially did the staples pro bono which I greatly appreciated. Fast-forward to this past weekend when my dog started having trouble breathing (he would have turned 15 next month). I rushed him to the hospital where they met me outside with a stretcher. One of the technicians took my dog inside to get looked at while I talked to another technician explaining what had happened. The first technician that took my dog inside, returned outside to me and told me that the doctor confirmed that my dog had passed. I parked my car and walked into the facility. The technician told me that the front desk receptionist would meet me in the room to discuss cremation options and then I would get to see my dog to say goodbye. When the receptionist came into the room, she asked my name, my dog’s name, and then proceeded to tell me the cost of group cremation or individual cremation. I had just learned not two minutes before that that my dog of 14 years, almost 15, had passed. I told her under no uncertain terms would I discuss cremation payments until I was able to say goodbye to my family member. They brought my dog into the room, I said my goodbyes and pressed the button for them to return to the room. When the technician returned to the room. he asked if the receptionist had talked to me about cost of cremation. (3 times they mentioned the cost of cremation) I said yes, he said OK and left the room with my dog. My daughter and I waited in the room for another 10 minutes for somebody to return to the room to discuss next steps and they never did. We finally left the room and went up to the front desk. At no time did the doctor come in to discuss anything with me or to even offer condolences. Not to ask what happened…nothing. After previously being asked to pay $900 for a previous visit and then literally being met at the door asking for money before I could even say goodbye to my dog I decided that this would be the last time I would ever step foot in this place. I would never take another pet of mine to this hospital even though they are the most convenient as I live just down the street. They are only interested in money. I have more to say about the visit when I brought my dog to have his staples removed and how rude the receptionist and technician were to me, but it’s not even worth going into. I will never step foot in this establishment again. I understand they are a business and that they deserve payment but it’s not just a business. They are working with peoples family members. I feel as if this hospital has lost sight of this. Also, I am not in a position to be $380 for individual cremation and the cheapest option for a token of remembrance (paw print mold) is $70 freaking dollars. Experiencia negativa: Took my Goldendoodle to this ER for a deep paw cut. They kept him for over 5 hours with no treatment, no pain meds, and told me he was "being prepped." I later saw through his activity tracker that he walked over 5,000 steps on the injured paw—completely untreated. I asked multiple times if we should take him elsewhere and was told he was under care. He wasn’t. This was neglect, not just bad communication. I’ve filed a formal complaint. Think twice before trusting your pet here.
Experiencia fantástica: I recently had an emergency with my dog, Hershey, who was bitten by another dog, resulting in a broken jaw on Memorial Day weekend. The experience at the clinic was exceptional, thanks to Dr. Riz and the accommodating staff. Dr. Riz was incredibly professional, understanding, and friendly. He took the time to clearly explain the situation and the necessary steps for Hershey’s treatment. Initially, there was concern about having the correct equipment size, and I appreciated the transparency. After facing challenges with other ER vet centers, who seemed reluctant to assist over the holiday weekend, Dr. Riz stepped up. He managed to accommodate us and wire Hershey’s jaw, sparing us a prolonged and stressful wait. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Riz’s dedication and care. If you ever find yourself in need of urgent veterinary care, I highly recommend Dr. Riz at this facility. Thank you, Dr. Riz, for your compassion and expertise. Feel free to adjust as needed!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog had surgery on Monday morning at my Vet and Wednesday evening started bleeding from where a stitch had popped. I arrived about 9:30 and they had my dog all fixed up and my way home by 11. The entire staff was exceptional from the check in to the check out and all in between. Dr. Drew Burnett was exceptional with his care and explaining what they needed to do. A+ all the way

Experiencia fantástica: My dog had stones in his bladder and urethra. My vet couldn't get a catheter in him. He sent me here. The vet worked with my dog and was able to insert the catheter. I had never been here before, but was treated as if I had been a customer for life. The staff is very kind and caring. I would recommend this pet hospital to everyone. The treatment my dog and myself was exceptional!

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful emergency vet. We have had to bring our tiny chihuahua in twice in the middle of the night and both times they were compassionate and quick to act. They were honest with us about the services they thought he needed and didn't try to talk us into unnecessary and expensive procedures. I hope you never need their services but if you do I highly recommend this location for your pet emergencies.
