Experiencia negativa: Brought puppy in for his first visit a few days ago. He had lots of nasal discharge, was coughing and clearly sick. Vet said he just has allergies but to come back if it persists. Came back today because he was still sick, same as before, but this time he was diagnosed with URI and given meds. My complaint: visit two should have been considered a "recheck" from visit one since there was no material change (same sickness) but it was counted as a separate visit. I'm supposed to get two free visits with my Petland package, and PetNest is effectively depriving me of the second free visit... I'll get his final vaccines here in two weeks since it's part of the Petland package, but won't be coming back after that. Update: PetNest responded to my original review stating that the second visit was reclassified as a recheck. I appreciate them clarifying that publicly. However, I think it’s important to share what happened after that visit. Following the recheck appointment, my puppy (a Boston Terrier) was sent home with several medications, including one labeled simply “cough suppressant.” The prescription bottle did not list the active ingredients. Later that same day my puppy’s eyes swelled dramatically, he became extremely lethargic, and his breathing became labored. Because Boston Terriers are a brachycephalic breed with smaller airways, the breathing symptoms were especially alarming. We rushed him to Castle Hills Animal Hospital, where the ER veterinarian determined he was having an allergic reaction and treated him with antihistamines and steroids to stabilize him. While the ER veterinarian was trying to determine what medication may have caused the reaction, we discovered that the “cough suppressant” bottle did not list the active ingredients. Because of this, I had to call PetNest from the ER so the emergency veterinarian could determine what medication had been prescribed. Fortunately he recovered after treatment, but it was an extremely frightening situation and required an emergency visit the same day the medication had been prescribed. I understand that diagnosing respiratory illness in young puppies can evolve as symptoms develop, but the overall experience—from the initial dismissal of symptoms to the medication reaction—made the situation far more stressful than it needed to be during our puppy’s first week home. The timeline of these events is reflected in the records from both PetNest and Castle Hills Animal Hospital.

Experiencia fantástica: My family and I just got our first puppy, and we’ve been to this office twice so far for a new puppy exam and vaccinations. We love the staff! Everyone is so kind and informative. They’ve been so helpful and have given us great tips as first time pet owners. They always treat our puppy with such care and gentleness, and they never make us feel dumb for asking silly questions. I also really like their online messaging system. It makes it easy to ask questions when we don’t have time to call. I would recommend this office to everyone. We’re so happy with our experience! Update: Fernando has been with my puppy and I during our last few appointments and he is always so helpful! He is very kind and informative, he goes above and beyond to answer every question and ensure you are satisfied at the end of your visit.

I feared the worst due to his advanced age but after treatment he is eating and playing with our roommates kittens. I am so blessed to have taken my puppy to Pet Nest Hospital in Frisco! This is a privately owned animal clinic and emergency hospital, which is important when choosing your veterinarian for your fur baby. I was extremely impressed with the staff professionalism and the time spent with me and my new puppy Nala this morning. From the friendly and knowledgeable front desk employee, Tesha to the veterinary technician that took detailed notes and showed me how to give medications, Francisco, to the physician & owner, Dr. Rahman, who spent time explaining why he felt the need for certain medications explaining the reasons in a detailed manner I could understand, these are the most important reasons for my stellar review of Pet Nest Animal Hospital! Experiencia negativa: I brought my Chow Chow puppy here after purchasing her from Petland, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The vet barely examined my puppy, did not thoroughly check her ears or overall condition, and still prescribed multiple medications.Despite following the treatment exactly as instructed, my puppy did not improve—in fact, she developed additional issues, including clear ear discomfort that was never addressed during the visit. I ultimately decided to take her to my personal veterinarian, where she received a proper, hands-on exam. Within a short time, I was given clearer answers, more appropriate treatment, and I’m already seeing better results.As a new puppy owner, I trusted this clinic to be thorough and attentive, but that was not my experience. I would not recommend this vet, especially for young puppies who need careful, complete examinations. Cheaper not always the best option or especially Petland recommendation already cancelling my puppy follow up.

I felt like I had 3 appointments in one because he had insight on all the dog breeds in my home and what their diets should be like. I’m new to our newest baby’s breed and he helped me so much understanding the breed and how I can ensure he stays healthy. The veterinarians were also great but Francisco just went above and beyond.

Experiencia fantástica: I wouldn’t take my dog anywhere else. From the vet techs to the veterinarians, everyone here is incredibly knowledgeable and truly cares about your pet. I brought my corgi here after she broke her leg. The pricing transparency and care were amazing. The X-rays are VERY affordable (about $200) and handled with so much compassion. They NEVER push unnecessary treatments and instead prioritize what is best for your pet. I have walked out paying under $30 for appointments when I fully expected a much higher bill based on my experience at other vets in DFW. They are also very accommodating if I arrive a few minutes late due to work. This will definitely be our new regular vet going forward. Dr. Anupama Kundur is kind, thorough, and makes you feel confident in your pet’s care. The vet techs at the front desk are just as wonderful and clearly love your pets like their own! The pricing is excellent, and the quality of care and kindness from the entire staff is amazing! Thank you all for what you do :)

The vet Dr. Kundur was very unprofessional and doesnt know how to explain things and within .2 seconds diagnosed my puppy and called it good. Didn't give me any info on medicine he was taking and what each was for. Didnt bother telling me the truth about his condition until I hear from puppy's insurance that he wont get better and failed to mention that to me. And when called and asked about it just said oops I overlooked it like its nothing serious. Take your animals to a vet that will take more than 2 seconds to diagnose your animals and actually give you the rundown of what's wrong with them

I didn’t feel like my little guy and I were just another patient, they made us feel like family…. Customer service like this can be hard to find these days and is a breath of fresh air. The ladies at the reception desk also went above and beyond to assist in finding outside resources, grooming, etc…. Thank you all for what you do!!!

Experiencia negativa: I initially opted for this veterinary clinic on a recommendation from Petland, a decision that many seem to make. Unfortunately, each visit has been disappointing for me and left me questioning the level of care provided for my Frenchie. During my latest visit, my dog was experiencing persistent vomiting and diarrhea, with blood appearing in his stool. After a consultation with another vet via AirVet, I was advised to seek a comprehensive examination and possibly X-rays to determine if he'd swallowed anything harmful. The clinic, however, conducted a superficial examination, merely inspecting his teeth, ears, and breathing before declaring him "fine." They didn't consider the ingestion possibility and instead prescribed several medications, resulting in a $572.80 bill. While symptom relief is important, a quick five-minute check doesn't address potential underlying issues. I also highlighted my dog's difficulties with liquid medications during the appointment, and requested months prior during another appointment that future prescriptions be in pill form. This is crucial, as previous liquid medications from this clinic led to serious adverse reactions, including severe vomiting and breathing issues that resulted in an emergency veterinary visit. In summary, the care provided at this clinic has been unsatisfactory, with a lack of thoroughness and consideration for my pet's specific needs. The high costs only add to the frustration.

They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure he felt comfortable the entire visit. You can tell they truly care about the animals they treat. Experiencia negativa: I knew something was fishy when petland was making me go to a specific vet. I could never get a straight answer on what was wrong with my new puppy, when they are the one that did the surgery. also the test results came back inaccurate. My gut told me to take my puppy to my vet, not just petland's vet. Which I did, I took my puppy to two vets in one day. At My vet, the results shows positive for parasites etc, but petland's vet (petnest) says no parasites And stil give me medicine to treat her for parasites although they just said she's fine Glad I went to my vet and got my puppy tested and treated and off the wrong medicine. It felt like a big cover up for petland's reputation. Obviously puppies get parasites, no need to be shady about it. I didn't expect my puppy to be 100% coming from a puppy mill. The shade I don't like.

The office is big, clean and the staff makes you and your pet feel at home. I liked the convenience of scheduling online, text conversations and weekend appointments. Dr. Rahman has incredible insight and knowledge on new meds and treatments. I took my Maltipoo, Leo for a checkup where he diagnosed him with allergies. He educated me to take preventative measures and gave a shot which’ll last for 90 days. I feel better knowing that I have a great vet around the corner

Experiencia fantástica: Updated Review — 3 Years Later I truly can’t say enough about Dr. Rahman and his staff. They’ve been nothing short of incredible. I first came to Petnest three years ago with a last-minute appointment request because my senior dog had a terrible ear infection, and despite being fully booked, they still managed to squeeze us in. That level of care and compassion hasn’t changed all these years later. Since then, Dr. Rahman has seen all five of my dogs, including two more senior dogs, and every time, his diagnoses have been spot-on. After bouncing between multiple vets and conflicting opinions, it’s been such a relief to find someone who actually knows what he’s doing and isn’t just throwing random medications or treatments at the problem. And the staff, every single one of them, is lovely. Kind, attentive, and always patient no matter how busy they are. I can’t recommend them enough. If you’re looking for a vet who actually listens, who genuinely cares, and who backs that up with real expertise? This is it.

This is my primary vet and when my puppy had an emergency, we were worried he might have eaten some ibuprofen, I first took him to an emergency vet clinic and they wanted to hospitalize him for $4000. At that point pet nest had opened so I called and talked to his vet, Dr. Rahman to get a second opinion and they were able to rush him right in and see him immediately, run all the same tests he would have received and checked in on him for a fraction of the cost and kept my little puppy safe. I was so grateful for the team and how quickly they were able to make time to see him at an appointment and the blood tests they ran were 1/4 of the price the emergency vet clinic were going to charge me. The vet tech who assisted us was Francisco. Every time we have come in as well for wellness visits they are always very prompt at getting us in and help me feel prepared for my next steps with having a puppy and keeping him healthy.

We have a 1.5 year old bengal cat and we were having a very hard time understanding what was wrong with his stomach issues for the past 5-6 months (he had constant diarrhea and bloody stool). Thanks to Dr. Mohammad Rahman, we finally found a solution to our problem! He was very knowledgeable and helpful! He prescribed our cat a special diet and thanks to that diet, our cat it finally back to normal with normal looking stool! We are so thankful for this clinic and we highly recommend them to anyone who is struggling with any health issues with their pets!

My puppy Stella wasn’t feeling the best so I took her in. Dr. Kundar and Francisco made me feel like they care just as much as I do. Experiencia fantástica: My husband brought our cat, Herbie, to Pet Nest on Monday morning. He was not acting right and would not eat. The front desk staff were immediately concerned but very professional. My husband left, knowing Herbie would be well taken care of. He soon received a call from Dr. Raman who informed him of a very serious condition in Herbie's urinary tract. The doctor immediately began life saving measures. By the end of the day, the danger was all but over. After keeping Herbie overnight for observation, we were able to take him home the very next day (Tuesday). Dr Raman suggested that we take Herbie in the following day (Thursday) for a quick progress check simply demonstrating the continued care and concern for our family pet. All was great and Herbie continues to improve each day. Again today (Friday) we received an additional call to check on his recovery progress. If you want similar care and concern for your pets I would encourage you to visit Pet Nest and Dr Raman!

My pet was suffering from severe cough, and doctor Rahman took care of him, sharing several home care tips to handle his cough. The clinic greeted us and our dog with utmost care and made sure our pet felt safe. Our dog gets very anxious around veterinary’s, but with my surprise he seemed very composed and felt safe.

Experiencia negativa: Please refrain from visiting this establishment. The experience has been consistently negative. The sole reason I brought my puppy here was because I purchased it from Petland, which mandated that I bring the puppy for the first three visits. This should have been an immediate red flag. Since then, my puppy’s visits have been consistently disappointing. when I requested the medication through Chewy, they denied my request. They cited their skepticism about Chewy’s reputation and insisted that I try Costco and I did and AGAIN the prescription was denied for my puppy preventative medication they then required I purchase the medication exclusively from them until my puppy reaches one year of age. This inconsistency in instructions left me feeling deceived and misled. the overall experience has been unsatisfactory. The veterinarian’s behavior was disrespectful and inappropriate, especially considering that I was accompanied by my child, who was using profanity. Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my dog and cat here for almost four years now and have never had a negative experience. The staff is always kind and patient with my animals. They give discounts where they can and make sure to give my animals the best care possible for a decent cost. My dog can be reactive and has a significant fear of nail clippers from past trauma. Previous vets were not able to clip her nails leaving me discouraged and like a bad pet owner.This lead to the use of medication and threat sedation for a nail trim. Her first visit here they were able to cut her nails with no medications and no challenges. We have now been able to work towards at home nail trims. When we leave the vet or nurse always looks out for other animals in the lobby and even checks me out from the room to avoid a reactive incident from my dog. They understand her past trauma and do not make me feel bad that she needs a bit of extra support. I love that my animals aren’t scared to go to the vet and that I know they are being well cared for. I would definitely recommend others to come here.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been bringing my dog Bourbon to PetNest Animal Hospital since he was 8 weeks old, and today’s visit was just another reminder of why I continue to trust them with his care. We came in this morning for his annual exam and vaccines. Even though we arrived nearly 30 minutes early, we were taken back right away with no wait — which I really appreciated. Francisco, our vet tech today, was incredibly kind and attentive. Knowing Bourbon is a nervous pup, he took the time to sit with him, offer some calming pets, and make sure he felt safe. He was also very thorough in his exam — checking everything from Bourbon’s ears and teeth to his paws — and gave me some really helpful guidance on what health maintenance we may want to plan for in the next few years. He took the time to listen to my concerns around grooming and boarding anxiety, behavioral chewing, and even discussed budget-friendly options for flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Dr. Kundur was just as wonderful — so patient, kind, and easy to talk to. While we discussed Bourbon’s health, Francisco took care of his vaccines. Unfortunately, Bourbon had a reaction shortly after and got sick in the lobby. The front desk team handled it with so much compassion and grace — helping me clean up the mess and getting Bourbon quickly back for some anti-nausea meds. PetNest has always gone above and beyond for Bourbon, and today was no exception. I’m so grateful for the care, kindness, and professionalism of the entire staff. They will do it with the sweetest smile and the best most loving attitude. They literally have take the best care of my puppy since I have gotten her and yall it’s been a challenge since getting this puppy with broken paws, parasites and now a huge cut. They make me feel safe leaving my baby in their care and they definitely are doing this work for the RIGHT reason!! They are a bit far at a 35 to 40 minute drive but every mile is worth it when I know my babies will get the attentive care they need. Experiencia negativa: The young blonde nurse demonstrated inadequate knowledge and subpar job performance. During the nail trimming procedure for my 2-pound 11weeks Chihuahua, whom I was holding securely to prevent movement, she: • Incorrectly cut 11 nails • Caused bleeding in 5 nails • Cut one nail excessively short, resulting in rapid bleeding Given that my puppy was stationary and under my control, there was no excuse for the nurse's careless mistakes. When confronted, she showed no remorse and dismissed the bleeding as "common." Her definition of "common" raises concerns about her competence. After applying a powder, she left us without further assistance. a senior nurse intervened later, and said 100% sure it will not get infected because he/she have 10 years experience and the bleeding would soon stop. However, the bleeding persisted intermittently during the hour-long drive home. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the young nurse had cut the nail dangerously deep, nearly removing it entirely. Given my dog's small size and fragile nature, this level of carelessness is particularly alarming. My puppy was limping that night, she was shaking. As an experienced dog owner with four previous pets, I can confidently say that such careless mistakes are not "common" as the nurse claimed. It's concerning that they attempted to downplay their errors by dismissing them as routine. To add insult to injury, the veterinary clinic had the audacity to charge me full price for the service. Furthermore, they refused to reimburse me for the wound care supplies I had to purchase at Petco to treat my dog's injuries. This lack of accountability and customer care is deeply disturbing.

Banfield failed to help us when we took candy there and told us to get her in ER & gave us quotes for thousands of dollars! But Dr. Rahman @ PetNest took great care of my cat. Within two 2days, Candy was doing better and she is now on her way to full recovery. Compared to the quotes we got from Banfield..Petnest's bill was really really affordable! PetNest is a full service vet hospital that provides the same services at a fraction of the cost of ER!! Thanks a lot PetNest and Dr. Rahman. We truly appreciate you all.
