Experiencia fantástica: During my first visit to Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital, I found Dr. Patel and all of his staff to be very pleasant, very personable, and intent on finding the cause of an infection in my 7-year old Maltese that had not been diagnosed correctly at another facility. The meds Dr. Patel prescribed are already causing the problem to disappear. He’s my vet now.

Experiencia fantástica: So thankful for WL Animal Hospital. We have an elderly cat that had a UTI and were able to get an appt on a Friday afternoon within 2 hours of calling. Experiencia negativa: Racist My husband took our dog here and one girl was vacuuming and I went to sit down in waiting room. Young lady asked me if she could help me I said no waiting on my husband. Next thing I know a lady from back comes up to me asking 21 questions. I walked out because I know what was going on here. She sees a black woman, and no other black person is in there. My husband is not an African American man. I won’t be back with him.

Experiencia fantástica: They were so great with my dog Sage who was a new patient and they were so compassionate. I want to transfer to them and Dr Rick is the best! So is the staff! She is feeling so much better now. ❤️

Experiencia negativa: I called to make a new patient appt. Explained a little what was going on. The receptionist advised I can make an appt online. So I made an appt. Online , I saw the note when making an appt online that I would receive a call right back to take a $25 deposit to HOLD my appt. No one ever called until the next day. I missed the call and was told I had til Saturday at 9am to make my deposit or I would lose my SPOT. I called back and was put on hold....for awhile. So I tried again later and was on hold for another 5 mins. I hung up and called back on Saturday After 9 and the receptionist advised my appt was still available. I canceled at that point. I guess they are too busy to take calls or hold appts. I guess they must be really popular but I will never know. Lost new client

Experiencia fantástica: We had an 18-year-old cat who was on the last part of his journey and we noticed he had started to show signs of suffering. We called our regular vet to see about bringing him in to say goodbye, and they could not see him until four days later. This was just astonishing to us, that we already had a relationship with this vet, we told him our pet was suffering, and they deemed he could continue to do so for four more days. We called two other vets in the area, and neither of them regarded the urgency of the situation, and put us off until the next day. We then called Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital, and they were more than willing to see him that afternoon, within 40 minutes. When we walked in, which was on Halloween, the "witch" at the registration area walked up and greeted us and directly showed our cat compassion with some pets. The rest of the process was simple and non-rushed; we were told what was happening every step, and asked if we needed to know any details of the harder parts of the process. The entire team was so caring, calm, and gentle, with both us and our furry long-time companion. We are very grateful for their accomodation and compassion during an extremely difficult time. If we ever get another pet, this is the vet we will choose to use in the future.

Experiencia negativa: This time around I had a no so good experience. Took my cats to get a health certificate to travel. Almost $600 later and after bad experience I have my Cert. I took both of my cats stulls for test. Well, they decided to trash one of them, because I could not bring one cat yesterday. The lady in the front told me I can do a walk in from Mon-Thu. When I got there on Tues around 12M I was told they do not do walk-ins on Tues. We'll, they do have a huge sign in the front that says clearly, welcome wlk-ins from Mon---Thu... then I had to take my cat home to have Her go to the bathroom again, because if not, they will not provide the Cert. I had to change my airline ticket twice, spending over $265 on that. Not their fault but they did not care a bit. I can see now that everything is money there. They want to sell extra services not require to get a Cert. Just for the money. I always say. It is not what you say, it is How you say it and the nurse need a lot to learn, when talking to clients.

Experiencia positiva: Great staff. Did not feel doctor spent any time with my pet, in and out in five minutes. VERY EXPENSIVE, more on the outrageous side. Sad corporate America just wants to suck us dry of every penny they can get without attentive services. The new America way!

Experiencia negativa: Vets are great but ridiculously expensive and charge for things that don’t change the treatment plan. Vet did not even examine my dog and to treat for a UTI was over 234$.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven’t been back to Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital with my other pets due to how expensive they are, but they are phenomenal when it comes to pet care. On September 30, my mom and I said goodbye to my childhood dog, Sadie. Sadie had been going there since we moved in 2013, and loved boarding with them when they offered it. We always trusted them and always knew we could trust them. The doctors and front desk knew her and would recognize her, and always made sure she was taken good care of. When it came time to say goodbye, we were taken into a spacious, private room specifically for those moments. They gave her treats and loved on her, and it was with the usual doctor that she always sees. They talked us through the whole process and took as much time/as slow as we needed. They were very compassionate and caring, and we even got a card with her paw print stamped inside after. They turned one of the most heartbreaking moments into a more peaceful moment, and helped my mom and I so much through the process. Even though we have switched vets for affordability costs for our other dogs, we love Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital and thank them for the amazing care they’ve provided us.

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this as your vet. Despite all the great reviews, this vet does not live up to them. On the first appointment, we were told to get there 15 minutes early to provide our pups documentation. Receptionist didn’t even ask for the new documentation, despite us getting there 15 minutes early. Also, we brought a feces sample for appointment.Plus, they closed up shop 30 minutes prior while we were still in the lobby waiting. After talking with my partner, we agreed that this would not be the vet we used as we felt rushed, and felt like we were NOT taken seriously- possibly because we are both under 30 years old. We are both educated individuals, and picked up on this very quick. Further, office staff never made a follow up appointment after our first appointment for vaccines. I called a few days later to find out the results of feces test, and to make a follow up appointment, with no response even though I left a voicemail. After all of the inconsistency, we jointly decided we will not be taking our puppy here for all the above reasons. Why would you take your animal to a vet that is unprofessional and unorganized? Further, when I went in to close the account and get the feces results (because nobody ever called me and told me the result)…I was THEN made aware that it was NEVER done. I guess we brought in feces to the vet for NO REASON. Don’t bring your animal here. They don’t care. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I can credit Dr Blake for saving my cat's life. Now she is getting treatment and thriving.The front desk staff are the best. They are like family now.

Experiencia fantástica: The veterinarian and the tech were both wonderful. They were great with my dog and they laid out all the options well. Although the options were over $1000, they laid out what they recommended, explained everything well and did not push anything. Ultimately I just paid for the exam and some fluids for my dog which was a little over $100 and he’s feeling much better. They seem to genuinely care about the pets and their owners. The facility is always very clean, And they let me come in the side door because my dog is not friendly to other dogs when he is on a leash. Keep up the great work!

Experiencia fantástica: We had an appointment scheduled at 1:30 pm on 04/17/2024 for our dog, Waylon. I wish I could remember the name of the doctor and nurses that helped us but every single one of them were nothing short of incredible. We decided that the best option for our dog, due to his condition, was saying goodbye so he no longer suffered. The entire staff was so incredibly caring, understanding, and patient. It was such a hard decision for us but the team at Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital never rushed us and showed true compassion throughout the whole process. I could never express how much we appreciated this team but I do know that they will be our permanent vet moving forward.

Experiencia fantástica: Before departing from South Florida I had asked my vet for an Orlando recommendation. This was it! We just recently had our first visit there and it was very clean and welcoming. We arrived for our appt early and were in and out in an hour. I was a bit embarrassed that my dog decided to relieve himself in the waiting room, but they handled it with stride. The doctor and nurses and techs and front desk staff were all very pleasant. They offer discounts once in a while which was a nice help for the bill. Right before leaving, they sent us with a little doggy goody bags filled with poop bags and treats and some information regarding pet meds, insurance, and about the shots my dog has just gotten. I definitely recommend this place for all of your pet needs!

Experiencia fantástica: I tried few other places in East Orlando and didn't like the way they treated my dog. Once I found Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital I loved it and so my dog. They were always kind, helpful and smiley. Something I always appreciate when I take my dog to a vet is that they explain what they're doing and answer all my questions... and they did it! Sadly I moved out of Orlando and not being able to take my dog there anymore truly broke my heart. Even then they still sent me my dog's medical records so I could keep them. Thank you guys! You are still my favorite place by far.

Experiencia fantástica: Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital came to my rescue once again. When my senior cat was having some issues, Karen fit me in that same day. My usual vet is on leave but Dr. Yesenia Fernandez, a relief vet who was on duty that day, was wonderful to work with. She examined my pet and suggested alternative medication. Her manner was compassionate and caring during the exam as was her phone call with lab results later on. I wish she was a permanent vet at this office, although I’ve always been please with all the doctors there. Once again I’d like to congratulate WLAH for their great staff and their wonderful care of my two cats , Gandalf and Frodo. From my initial call to schedule their visit, through seeing Dr. Lewendowski, until I leave their office, everyone is knowledgeable. kind, caring, and supportive. I highly recommend them for your cats’ and dogs’ well visits, and fo their care when they are I’ll.

Now 3 years old, she still loves going to see her vet for her annual visits and vaccines. The personnel and Drs. are always very attentive, caring and knowledgeable. Am I just sad because they no longer offer boarding services.
Experiencia fantástica: I am sooooo happy we decided to take my dog in after getting stitches from another doctor. We called in the morning and the receptionist was able to get us in that same day! Dr. Rik was AMAZING and took the time to explain how he was going to fix my dogs botched stitches. He answered all my questions and made us feel so at ease. Now that the stitches have been fixed, my dogs wounds are healing beautifully and she’s no longer in pain. All the techs we spoke with were also sooooo sweet and empathetic. Experiencia fantástica: Super happy with the care that my sick cat received at this hospital. They were super patient and kind, and we were able to get an appointment fairly quickly, whereas other places I called were booked three weeks out. I am new to the area and was very pleased overall with our visit. Our kitty is already showing signs of improvement 12 hours later. I won’t hesitate bringing my other cat to this office for their check ups and medical needs. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to make an appointment for my dog, Jack, the same day and Waterford Lakes was very accommodating. The whole staff was friendly and easy to talk to and they took amazing care of my fur baby. Lea, our tech, and Dr. Rik took their time to really get to know Jack, his history, and what the best steps would be to treat him.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog here after because they accept walk-ins. I was beyond satisfied they were prompt and friendly and treated us like regular patients! After providing basic information and weigh in, we were taken to an exam room. Dr Blake stepped in and chatted about my dogs bumps like hives and spent a good amount of time examining him. He suggested antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds. When the staff discussed the fees, I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable it was considering we had never been there! Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely wonderful service! All questions answered to my satisfaction. Vet was oh so kind to my cat! (I always worry that I will get a vet who is not a cat person.) They even have a waiting area just for cats.
Experiencia fantástica: Great experience! My cat is very anxious when going to the vet, to the point where he gets extremely sick. The staff took every precaution to make sure he was as comfortable as possible to counteract his anxiety. He was given anxiety medication the morning of the visit to keep him calm. He had his first visit without any issues and now I feel very comfortable bringing him in for his yearly check up!
Experiencia fantástica: I've been to several vets, and was impressed with WLAH. It's clean, professional and a caring staff. My cat has been losing weight for a year and I took him elsewhere and was told he was going to die 6 months ago, and he's still alive today. He wasn't feeling well, so I took him to WLAH and a thorough exam was done....so far I at least have somewhat of a simple diagnosis that can be corrected. Thank God for persistence...I'll never take him to a cheap vet. You get what you pay for. WLAH was average cost, reasonable but worth the extra money. They truly care about our furry babies.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place! They don’t try to upsell on tests and procedures that are not necessary. That’s my number one issue with a lot of vet clinics these days, it’s so underhanded. I just moved here about a year ago and am very happy I found this place. They’ve taken good care of my 16yo kitty who I’ve taken in twice this year. Just recently she has some kind of infection in her gums and due to her age and kidney disease, they offered the option of medication only treatment as a start. No hard upsell!! Very kind and caring staff.
Experiencia fantástica: Happy with the experience here. They include a nail trimming free with an exam, and I was grateful for that because that was something my groomer has found difficult with my senior dog. They were also able to clean off a matted scab from my dogs belly that my groomer wasn’t able to remove. They were quick and efficient at both, as well as with the blood draw. I like being able to order the heartworm meds from their website, and there is usually a email coupon to get it for a good price.
Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing vet clinic! Dr. Rik saved my dogs life. Highly recommend! My dog had extremely high liver enzymes and we weren’t sure if she would recover. We went to 5 different vet clinics and luckily we found this place in time. Dr. Rik was very patient, caring and answered all questions I had. All staff members were attentive and warm. The price is affordable compared to everywhere else I went. I will be sticking with this clinic!

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to get my kitty in the same day I called. They got me in and it was a good thing because he had a bladder blockage I wasn’t aware of. They recommended an emergency care vet that would take care of everything he needed around the clock. So far my kitty is doing ok. Thanks for the care.
Experiencia negativa: I was unable to go to my normal vet as they were booked and this was a last minute appointment for a 5 week old stray kitten I found with an infection sealing his left eye shut. The kitten was fine and eating soft food when I found him although he had the infection. After taking him in to get the infection looked at they gave me clavamox and Terramycin for the infection. I asked about getting him dewormed which they told me he was too young. I thought this was odd as all kittens and dogs I have had were dewormed before 8 weeks. After giving him the clavamox the kitten decided to not to eat any soft food or drink for the next 24hours. No matter what I tried, even syringe feeding, he was lethargic and not getting up much like he normally was. I tried keeping him as warm as possible with a warm rice sock during the night. Next day I called my normal vet I go to, they made an emergency appointment to see the kitten after I told them the kitten had not been eating the last 24 hours and he had began dry vomiting basically nothing as he hadn’t been eating. When I brought him in, his body temp was too low to even be read on the thermometer, his blood sugar was on the cusp of being low, and he was lethargic. My vet asked what the previous vet had done, I told him the didn’t want to deworm him which he thought was odd, he also said Clavamox was a poor decision as it tends to make animals sick, regardless if it was the cat having worms or the antibiotic making the kitten sick to the point of not eating I believe Waterford lakes animal hospital made a poor judgement assessing the kitten. The kitten then was put in critical care that night by my vet but has unfortunately passed this morning. That being said I would not recommend Waterford lakes animal hospital to those looking for a vet.

Experiencia negativa: THEY CALLED me to reschedule my appt to help their scheduling for 1 week later. I rescheduled my own Dr appt to do so. When I get there they had rescheduled me for 2 weeks from my original vet appt which I never would have done. They are also expensive. I was told by a vet tech when I brought my pet back for a recheck and questioned the cost (was charged $45.00 for a blood pressure check on the bill). I was told it's because they are members of The American Vets Assoc and have equipment other vets may not have. Currently talking to friends for recommendations

I called a vet close to me but they couldn't see him and suggested a larger clinic that may have more staff available. I looked up who else was close with good ratings and I'm oh so glad i brought him to Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital! The staff answered all my questions, validated my concerns, took my pup in promptly, and displayed genuine compassion and concern. Dr Donnelly was amazing and the office made a follow up call to check on my pup. Update: over 3 years later and am still very satisfied and grateful for the patience, concern, and compassion that all the staff here displays! ❤️

They were able to work us in very quickly and Dr. Rikh took great care of my little guy. And while most places would have charged an arm and a leg for an emergency visit, I felt the total was very reasonable.

Experiencia fantástica: My senior furbaby was in distress and WL Animal Hospital was able to get us in for an appointment within 30 minutes of calling. Once there, they gave us financial updates each step of the way. They recognized my little guy's problem and also sent his results off for a 2nd opinion. The dr also called to follow-up to see how he was doing. The drs and techs at WLAH are genuine with the care they offer their patients and we are very grateful for that!

Camilla made me feel like I had nothing to worry about. She made my dog feel safe and taken care of. For the first time in our vet experiences we felt taken care of and had faith that our dog was in good hands with Camilla. We will be back because of her.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog in because his usual vet was closed. They got me in same day and the staff, vet and the tech were very professional and so sweet with my sick pup. They cleared all tests and costs with me before doing them and ensured he got the best care, while giving me options. Highly recommend!!
Experiencia negativa: This vet facility has gone down hill over the last few years. I don’t know why exactly….turnover I guess? We have been clients there for at least 15 years and through many pets, but we are now changing. Most recently I took my cat in for his annual, the next day he got VERY sick, we thought we were going to lose him. I called the vet twice that day and left messages, no one ever called me back. The vet finally called me back with blood results 4 days later, but made no inquiry as to how he was doing. This is not the first time this has happened over the last 6 months. Also, they are now charging a deposit to make an appt. I don’t think this is right for a long time client who has never missed an appt! Time to go!

Experiencia positiva: Overall I appreciate the staff and doctors at Waterford Lakes Animal Hospital. One thing I don't like is having to pay a $25 deposit (or cancellation fee) ahead of time. I have never cancelled and even if an emergency had arisen I don't think they should follow thru with collecting $25. Please save that fee for customers who habitually cancel. I felt pre-judged and underappreciated as a customer of 13 years.

She is doing well and everyone works together to make her retirement safe and enjoyable! She actually looks forward to greeting everyone at her weekly laser treatment appointments :)

Experiencia fantástica: edit- i don’t live in the area anymore and every time i need a vet for my kitties where i live now, it is the most dreadful experience. I miss this vet so much if you are trying to find a vet in Orlando, stop looking and GO HERE! you won’t regret it original- Very professional and kind staff. Every time i go i am surprised by how easy everything is. I have brought one of my cats multiple times am always pleased. We see Dr Lewandowski and she always takes time to explain things herself and the nurses are also helpful in making the experience smooth and efficient. I have an appointment for my other cat next week and i’m confident it will be just as nice, as nice as a vet visit can really be anyway :)

Experiencia fantástica: My fur baby was sick a few weeks ago and had to go to the ER vet, & her regular vet office, Waterford Lakes Vet, called the next day after they were notified by the ER vet to check up on her & that meant so much. Thank you for putting genuine care into your patients and owners & for being a great experience overall! Update: 2 years later and my fur baby is still going here. The staff and doctors are all so welcoming and efficient and supportive that it truly does help when your pet is stressed, and you as well, to know that they are in good hands and everything is being done to help.
