Fantastic experience: They helped me and my baby and I'm so grateful. Everyone was so nice and professional and the location was very clean.
Fantastic experience: This is what i love, you can stay with your baby the entire time!!!! Yes its bit chaotic but its hospital its not supposed to be pretty its supposed to be efficient which it is!! The staff is really nice and caring and its cheaper than a visit to AMC (which is also great)

Fantastic experience: VEG is exactly where you want to go if your pet is having an emergency. Their team is so knowledgable, calm, and caring I wish I could bring my cat here as her primary! I've had multiple instances where I've had to bring my cat in and every time we are seen quickly. They let you be apart of the procedures as much as possible so your pet feels calm and safe. I also appreciated how upfront they were about costs. Very transparent and they only proceeded with my approval so I never felt like I was being pressured into anything. I'm leaving the neighborhood soon, but will continue to come to this location if needed because of the high level of care we always receive. You can tell this is a place where they truly love animals!!
Fantastic experience: We took our fur baby, Giggio, and the staff was incredible—so caring and compassionate. I’ve been here in the past with my other dogs who are no longer with me, and the kindness has always been consistent. Gaby at the front desk provides exceptional customer service—she is very caring and helpful. Unfortunately, I forgot the doctor’s name, but she was absolutely wonderful and incredibly compassionate as well. Overall, the entire staff is very welcoming, and you can truly feel how much they care about the animals and their families.

Fantastic experience: Brought in my cat because he was having a hard time breathing and wasn’t looking so hot, thankfully everyone was so kind and quick to get into action,thank you guys fr. Hopefully i don’t have to come back here anytime soon for my cat’s sake, but if i have to ik this is the spot to get the job done.
Fantastic experience: We were worried my dog broke his tail when I stupidly put him to sleep in a coat with Velcro that he got his leg and tail all twisted and stuck in his furry bed. They saw him immediately and realized what was stuck to him was a mass of hair, coat and furry bed- they were kind about it and didn’t even charge us.We’d definitely go back (but I hope we don’t need to)
Fantastic experience: I had to put my dog down in the middle of the night, she was scheduled for an at home euthanasia the next day in the afternoon but declined so drastically in the middle of the night I had to find the nearest open vet. I’m so glad I found VEG ER in this incredibly difficult time. The staff was so unbelievably caring and with the open hospital plan I was able to stay with her even as they prepped her - never left her side. When it came time the staff gave me as much time as I needed to say goodbye before and after. I asked if I could please get a lock of fur and the nurse came back with two beautiful vials and a paw and nose print for me to take home. I was beside myself at the extra care and thought given - I honestly was just expecting some fur in a bag. If I have to go through this again I would immediately got to VEG ER, for this or any other ER service.
Fantastic experience: I took my senior dog to VEG on the UES in the middle of the night after some concerns with a worsening GI situation. I had called VEG the day prior and was able to speak with a Dr. that gave me really helpful advice on how to manage his condition at home and what to look out for that would warrant a visit. When I ended up having to bring him in the following day the team there was efficient, knowledgeable and incredibly kind. I was able to get in and out with diagnostics, treatment, and meds for home for my dog in under an hour which even for 3 am was way faster than I expected. The entire team from the security guy at the front door to the vet staff in the back made this experience smooth and free from stress for me and my dog.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at VEG treated me and my cat with respect and compassion. They handled my cat with a gentle touch and spoke to him in a very loving manner. They did everything they could to make both of us comfortable. They have advanced equipment so all tests can be done on site and without waiting. The vets and vet techs are very knowledgeable. I had confidence in their diagnosis and recommendations. Being able to stay with my hospitalized cat the entire time was a huge comfort to me and not cat. I wish they could be my primary care vet.

Negative experience: When coming in with a critically ill kitten who potentially had ringworm were quick to suggest not clinically indicated diagnostics and treatment beyond their capabilities in order to refuse to intake the kitten. This kitten was immediately in need of heat support which the staff refused to set up (even in an ISO room) as they were trying to come up with a plan as to how to turn us away. They suggested a specialist ultrasound at AMC because their radiologist was "not available" when it is also after hours for the internal medicine department at AMC so that would not be able to be done either (nor was it clinically indicated). They also suggested that it was better to go to AMC because they did not have materials to perform a blood transfusion which was also not clinically indicated for this kitten based on his bloodwork just performed at our primary vet. VEG jeopardized this kittens health by handling his case this way when we were willing to trust him with their care. It is disheartening to know that they chose to reject this kitten for what seems to be the fact that we disclosed he had suspicious hair loss (not even diagnosed ringworm).

Fantastic experience: VEG on the UES took incredible care of our pup. We arrived in the middle of the night and were brought in immediately. They did an amazing job talking us through what was happening, while also managing our dog’s medical issues. She ended up staying over night and we received updates often on her status.

Fantastic experience: This is my second experience with VEG UES. First experience had a lovely and dedicated staff looking after my pup Ellie, and my most recent experience blew me away. It’s no secret that an unexpected visit to the vet is very costly, and the team here were so patient, kind and understanding about working with my budget. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and I was able to take my sick pup home after an overnight stay. She’s doing great now! Thank you so much from the receptionist, to the nurses, to the doctors who were so amazing in getting Ellie back to health and providing the care and kindness that she and I needed.

Negative experience: I took my dog here because I feared she had another ulcer as she had hemorrhage gastritis before. The doctor told us it was back pain related and that everything was “ok” she sent us home with pain meds. However, I wish they recognized the symptoms of IVDD sooner. In 24 hours we had to rush her to Philadelphia for an emergency surgery. She was reaching stage 5 of IVDD if we had waited any longer, she wouldn’t have been able to walk again.

Fantastic experience: Our cat Luca had a seizure on Saturday night and we took him to VEG ER. The entire team was attentive and kind. It seemed like a slow night but we never felt rushed or unattended too. The doctors and medical assistants were all cooing and complimenting the cats who had to spend the night. Your pets are loved and taken care of here even when you're not there. Hopefully we will never be back but if there is an emergency, we will come back!

Fantastic experience: This was my second time at upper east side VEG and will be where I immediately turn if I need emergency animal care in the future. 3 years ago they euthanized my 20 year old cat with such care for her and myself, I decided to come back when another cat had a urinary blockage. I can not say enough about the incredible kindness and positive culture this round the clock staff has, quickly performing the emergency procedure and then taking incredible care over 72 hours to make sure his blood tests were back to a safe level to go home. Their open plan area and 24/7 visitation is a game changer, and I felt welcome, informed, and a part of his care.

Negative experience: Some of the doctors here are very compassionate and the nurses and staff seem to be very caring. The first experience they treated my pet's illness well. However I didn't like my experience with the overnight doctors towards the end. I'm not sure if they caused heart failure for my cat. He was being treated for kidney issues and upon release immediately had heart failure. I understand this is a risk for treating kidney issues and his health was complicated and it was near his time, but I would've hoped that they'd monitor this very closely during treatment. On the night where they recommended us to put him down, he waited for 2 hours for a room to open. So it went from our pet is suffering we should put him down right away to waiting for 2 hours. When our pet was released and he was having heart failure, we called to ask what we should do and they repeatedly mentioned that this could happen. This isn't exactly what we needed to hear at the time, and no they didn't mention anything of heart failure to us they just said his kidney issues could flare again.

Fantastic experience: Brought a foster rescue to VEG for a slipped bandage and lethargy. After assessing that his wound didn't need a new bandage and checking him out, they sent me home *with no charge.* The willingness to determine that care *wasn't* necessary, and to not charge for the consult, is remarkable. They left money on the table to do the right thing. And that makes them a good choice for your pet.

Positive experience: had a really positive experience at first, but not so much toward the end. When I arrived at 6:30 AM, the blonde doctor and the doctor with the pretty eyes immediately took care of my dog, and you could tell they genuinely cared. I’m so grateful for them. But the doctor who came in afterward didn’t show the same care — she was on her phone a lot, and I never saw her touch my dog. Still, huge shoutout to those first two doctors. I truly felt like my dog was in good hands with them.

Fantastic experience: I was seen so quickly on a Sunday night, when my cat was having an issue. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and although not cheap, it was substantially less than I expected. I would gladly refer anyone to this ER and they are now in my permanent contact list.

Fantastic experience: So grateful to this wonderful team. Got some tough news about my old sick cat, but hearing it from extremely compassionate and brilliant people who gave me time and space to think about it without pressure to treat one way or the other helped a lot. Fantastic experience: We brought our sweet boy to VEG on Monday, on what ended up being the hardest day of our lives. My vet was closed for the evening and a friend recommended VEG. Dr. Cisneros and her coworkers were so kind to us, while honest about the limited options for our cat. We had to put our cat down, but they made it so comfortable and compassionate. My heart is broken, but I couldn't imagine a better emergency vet experience.

Fantastic experience: We are so grateful for the incredible team at VEG. Our cat had suddenly become very lethargic, stopped eating, and started having trouble breathing. We rushed him to VEG, and they got us in immediately. His fever was 105°F when we arrived. Dr. Chen, Dr. Serra, and Dr. Rushing oversaw his care and kept us updated during his 36-hour stay. We spent a few hours in their triage room and the staff was so kind and compassionate. They had all the equipment needed onsite and made a scary experience as smooth as possible. We’re beyond thankful for their entire team and so glad to have VEG in the area!!!

Our dog to had to stay there for two days and two nights and they took such good care of him; they even let me camp out there all day to be with him. They were so communicative with us at every step. Fantastic experience: Brought in a stray cat we have been feeding for the past year because she looked injured and was pleasantly surprised at how well the baby was treated regardless of her being a stray and us being unable to provide a proper medical history. Thankfully she only had a URI for which she received some treatment. Both the vet and the tech were extremely patient and loving to the baby who at one point became very agitated. I'm beyond grateful for the treatment although I have to admit it is on the costly side but I believe even strays deserve a fighting chance.

Negative experience: The doctors are awful people. The second they knew we could no longer pay for their services, they wasted no time getting rid of us. Do not come here if you don’t want to watch your pet die afterwards. My older brother, mom, and I brought our cat, Obi, to be treated for his UTI. The hospital performed a procedure on unblocking my cat’s bladder so that he could urinate again without any pain. We were also told that they would be running blood tests to determine the cause of his UTI. For three nights and two days, we left Obi in their care. This will forever be my only regret. By the end of our visit, it seems as though the doctors didn’t have any humanity in them. My older brother said to me the doctor became very dismissive of Obi after learning he could no longer pay. While I understand hospitalization, bloodwork, and medicine isn’t cheap, the way the doctor treated us was awful. They might have no control on the prices, they do have control over their behavior. There were no smiles, no acknowledgment of our worry, and not even a thorough discussion over our options for Obi. They didn’t tell us the cause of the UTI or say even goodbye to us when we left. My cat was cold to the touch and they knew he was not going to survive. However, instead of just being direct, they insisted on another night at the hospital and for us to schedule vet visits. Whether or not they did everything they could, my cat did not come back home the same. RIP Obi-Wan Kenobi

Fantastic experience: My vet at Feline Health can't be reached on the weekends. She had told me about VEG because she said they were good about making sure she got a record of any visits her clients made to their emergency care. I'm thrilled that they're open 24/7 and even on holidays but that's not what impressed me most about them. You can actually talk to a doctor both before you go and AFTER a visit so all your questions are answered. Often, when you visit emergency, you're stressed out and not thinking of all the questions you should ask. Later, you may have additional questions about things like the medicines or new developments, etc. EVERYONE there, including reception and the techs, were very patient and seemed to really care. (Special thanks to Dr. Rushing and Olga) And reception, upon hearing my questions, didn't hesitate to put me in touch with a doctor to whom I could actually speak when I needed more information. From the moment I walked in I felt people there actually cared.

Fantastic experience: I had the best experience ever. All of the staff, the techs and front desk people, were incredibly helpful. I knew what was going on with my cat every step of the way and they were kind while I was freaking out a little bit! The notes that were emailed were very very helpful and well done and allowed me to make sure I have adequate medical records and an understanding of what happened. Just fabulous. For the cat’s sake I hope we never have to go again, but I personally wouldn’t mind!

Negative experience: Took my dog here recently, he was really sick. They didnt give him any oxygen, meds, or iv at least to stabalize him. They only told us that his only option was to put the dog Down. They had zero compassion or empathy. No tests, nothing at all. The assistant was also very rude and made a vomiting face when she smelled our dogs wound. Thats extemely unprofessional in this type of work environment. I wouldnt recommend this place because it looks like theyll just put your dog Down without giving any explanation or diagnoses and etc.

Fantastic experience: I brought my cat to VEG in the middle of the night. I had called beforehand and we were immediately seen. A group of nurses surround my cat and the Dr. Milutin started doing intake. He was very professional and explained all the steps and testing that were being done that night and we agree to hospitalization. There are no visiting hours so you can just go anytime. In the AM, we agreed on additional abdominal scans. Dr. Morrison was phoned me promptly with the results. The staff was prompt in sending reports over to my regular vet, which really helped when I had to make difficult decisions of putting my beloved pet to sleep. Dr. Morrison explained the procedure and we were in a private room so that I could be with her and say goodbye. VEG staff did everything they could to assess her condition and stabilize her, and helped us through this difficult transition with kindness and compassion. I am very grateful for their work.

Fantastic experience: Loved my experience at VEG 1215 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10065 location. They made us feel so comfortable and even got my baby Jinger( 8month old cavapoo) to feel so comfortable that she would go with them on her own and wasn’t afraid to walk around. Fantastic experience: I first discovered the location in Paramus New Jersey in the middle of an emergency with one of my fur babies. When I found myself in another emergency I immediately called Paramus and was told they had another location in Manhattan which was closer to me. I've had so many terrible experiences with vets in the city, not to mention how expensive they are due to the high rents, I wasn't sure I wanted to try my luck but I was so worried about my baby I decided to try it. Also, their rating was high so I took a chance. They were amazing and I was literally in and out of there in less than 40 minutes. They literally acted like they cared about my fur baby. They spoke to him with love and respect and treated him with so much kindness even though he was being kind of rude because he was uncomfortable. I will be coming back and telling everybody about them. They were truly amazing!

Fantastic experience: VEG was recommended to me by a friend who runs a rescue. We took our 5-year old cat here late at night after he began irritating blood. From the moment we walked in, this was a completely different experience than I’ve ever had at any emergency vet. The techs were so kind and caring; the doctor recommended a conservative treatment (instead of charging us hundreds of dollars for tests we might not need) and gave us a great follow up plan. They were professional, compassionate, and never once separated us from our cat. He’s doing so well this morning and we’re so grateful! Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I don't usually write reviews, but I want to thank VEG. My dog, Nikey, was sick for almost a week. I took her to the vet, but they never gave me clear answers or explained how sick she was. I went back and forth to the vet for a week, spending over $4,000, thinking she would recover. On Sunday night, I saw Nikey, and clearly, she wasn't recovering at all. As a pet owner, you get the feeling something seriously wrong is happening. I did my research and ended up here at VEG. They treated my dog immediately, with blood and urine tests. Dr. Catherine Lang was very compassionate yet honest with me and explained how sick Nikey was and that, unfortunately, I would have to make a decision. She was clear, honest, yet emphatic. She took the time to explain Nikey's situation. I didn't want my Nikey to go (I had lost my brother two weeks earlier, so I wasn't ready for this), but I also didn't want her to suffer. The staff was also very kind and attentive; they made me understand that I wasn't a bad owner for the decision I had to make. They gave me a room for privacy, so I could spend time with Nikey. They never rushed me or anything. In the midst of my pain, they made me feel calm and made me feel cared about. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Lang. I miss my Nikey, but she's no longer suffering.

Doctors and nurses are on their phones chatting and laughing, having personal conversations, they don’t care at all, they made mistakes including putting the wrong IV bag for 2.5 hours to my baby girl. I love my baby so much and my only regret is that I took her here, please don’t make the same mistake, pick another place if you love your baby.

Fantastic experience: The team at the UES location are saints. I brought in my very high-anxiety / aggressive cat for an emergency visit. From the moment we arrived, Dr. Serra and the entire staff treated both of us with compassion, patience, and respect- even when she was hissing and I was on the verge of hysterics. My cat ate a lily petal and they gave me the option of doing out patient treatment instead of hospitalization, which would’ve been way more expensive. Fantastic experience: This isn’t the first time I brought my dog here, and the reason for that is how comfortable I am knowing, not only is she being seen by some of the most experienced vets and vet techs, but also some of the most caring. When your fur baby is sick enough to go to the ER, you’re panicked and traumatized. Fantastic experience: I took my anxious cat in over the weekend for a suspected UTI. I called and someone was waiting for me outside to arrive late at night and it was relatively a quick trip as far as vet/emergency trips go. Thank you to everyone there for treating her so well!

Negative experience: Pretty disappointed in the care received here. I took my 10 month old husky in after noticing his leg swell up very quickly. Every employee we interacted with seemed like they hated their job. The person assigned to take my dog’s vitals seemed to get annoyed when my dog wanted to sniff the ear thermometer, and then got irritated with him after he heard the thermometer beep and got spooked. You work with animals, you should know that a dog will probably want to sniff something before you stick it in his ear, especially a dog in distress. Only the vet communicated with us regarding what was happening, the treatment plan, and next steps, and even then, the advice we got was questionable. The vet did not seem confident and could not figure out what was wrong with our dog and tried to prescribe a myriad of medications to see what works. We ended up having to wait there for 4 hours, paid $1000 for JUST a blood test and a very brief exam and ended up having to take our dog to his normal vet the next day, where he was properly diagnosed, medicated, and thank god is doing better now. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Brought my fur child (Anubis- 12yo dog) in during the very early hours due to extreme discomfort & rapid onset of uncontrollable urination of blood. I strongly suspected UTI & the providers were fast to tend to her and very professional with the options, without a hustle for testing…providing her immediate conscious care. Fantastic experience: all i can say is i had an emergency situation with my male cat , they took. me right away , and there best interest and priority was making sure my cat received the treatment he needed , it was a great experience and i feel truly blessed, , the overwhelming love and support from the team was amazing and outstanding, God Bless each one of them working at this location for humanity and love and respect, towards animals and man kind , i greatly appreciate everything you guys have done to help Gabriel.❤️

Fantastic experience: Our cat woke us up at 1am in extreme distress—an awful experience that I hope to never relive. We rushed him to VEG, where he was handled with compassionate hands. The staff explained everything clearly and with so much care. We unfortunately had to say “goodbye” to our special little guy. They helped usher us through this process, treating our cat with dignity. They made the unimaginable feel bearable.

Fantastic experience: We feed cats in our neighborhood and a couple Sundays ago someone told us about a dying cat. We rushed over and found a cat in the worst shape I have ever seen. We put him in a carrier and another dirty sickly cat appeared and we grabbed him too. It was around 11:30pm so we went to VRG in Chelsea. We aren’t rich and in the past we have had horrible interactions with other vets treating us poorly. The VRG staff treated us with respect and kindness. One of the cats had to be euthanized and the doctor was patient with us as we cried. They couldn’t help us with the other one but gave us some tips. You could tell they all cared and that means a lot. Special shoutout to the woman at the front desk. Her name started with an I (Irenea or Ivenia???) she couldn’t have been kinder. She shared a story about her own cats and came to the room to talk to us. Please let her know how much that helped us in a very stressful situation.

Fantastic experience: I’ve gone to the Williamsburg and UES location given these two locations are very far from where we live however we came to these locations mainly because of Dr. Donohue. We wanted to follow where she was to continue our care for Tiana. We loved the experience we received from the VEG night shift team at both locations and Dr. Donohue. The care was beyond my expectations and the facilities are beautiful. I love how I was able to stay with my cat throughout the entire time during her treatments. Dr Donohue explained everything along the way. No one ever visits the ER unless it’s something serious and even with that my mind was put into ease thanks to the amazing care Tiana received. I can go on and on about how much I love this place. I’ve been telling all my friends who have furbabies about this place hoping they never need to visit the ER but if they do that VEG is the place to go! This place staffs the most compassionate, caring and nice people I’ve come across in a Vet setting!

Fantastic experience: The vets here are angels on earth. They helped me and my dog with such speed, care, kindness, compassion, and humanity. Fantastic experience: We are pet sitters. Our frenchie was having difficulty breathing... I took us some time to get to the vet. They did their best to help save him. Unfortunately, because of swelling in his airways, he did not make it through and passed away. Workers did not give up, continued until he stopped breathing.

Negative experience: My first review on Vet care, the night we went there seemed to be quiet but it turned out not to be, but here it goes… I had my pup throwing up constantly every hour or so and not eating anything, and breathing super fast, so I didn’t wait for next day appt to our regular vet and went to this emergency. The techs / nurses were superb! They were in excellent mood to cheer you up and were so loving and caring towards the baby, unlike the actual doctors and front desk person which seemed so miserable and borderline rude, they might have had a tough night or were tired (which I totally understand) but either way both didn’t seem to care at all and were so unenthusiastic and went through the whole process like a general walk through (“here’s what we can do, here’s what you have to pay” basically). Yes, they give you 3 options of payment, one is what you pay for just taking a look at your pet, second an ultrasound and some basic tests (at a cost of $900) and then some deeper tests and X-rays (which in our case would have been $1700). I chose the middle option, they didn’t find anything and Dr. Nicholas Bailey said “I don’t see anything harmful but it’s just general ultrasound” implying that I didn’t pay the highest amount to find out what’s actually wrong. But that’s not even the most shocking thing that happened. A Latin family came rushing in with an actual emergency for their large furry pet that couldn’t breathe. I saw nurses rushing to him and putting some machine to help, while the doctor just stood by him for a couple of minutes telling nurses what to do, for the rest of the time (and I watched) she was seating at the desk on laptop not actually by the pet. Then I saw her (as I was getting Uber home at the end) coming out to the family and telling them that it wouldn’t be 5k as they were told but 8k for the procedure. They were all shocked and I understand as you want to save your furry member but it’s so expensive so they were all in despair. But she wasn’t even monitoring the whole time! (The vet was with either British or Australian accent I couldn’t tell as she wasn’t talking that much unless about that payment or doing that much all night) Also during that night two people came in carrying a dog after car accident (one was a sub carrier and another was a driver who actually hit the dog/dogs) they caused such a scene, and the carrying person for the dogs didn’t seem to be in a stable condition at all (I assumed heavy drugs), but front desk and the doctor just charged them for cremation. Where instead they should have questioned who the actual owner is and do something about careless monitoring over the dogs who “accidentally took off and went under the car”. Overall I don’t know what to feel about them, for now it feels like money vacuuming. Unless you have an actual horrible emergency, which in that case will also be the same only with more attention from the techs/nurses, not doctors.

Negative experience: Inconsistent experiences, I was made to wait while one of the (junior) vet spent about 20 minutes slowly giving her report from her laptop to the attending vet. The attending vet was herself distracted by her own (healthy) puppy who she brought to work with her.
We are truly sorry to learn about the challenges you faced recently. Our goal is to always offer compassionate and top-notch service. In order to provide top-notch service we have to ensure we are rounding the next doctor that comes in about the really sick inpatients we have. During your visit was also during shift change. During that time any fur babies that comes in we check vitals to ensure your baby is stable then continue rounding to ensure the doctor that is taking over is current with all hospitalized patients to continue the correct care that is needed for that shift. This is a common practice that we do and unfortunately it may delay some of the process along the way. We hope that your fur baby is doing better!
Fantastic experience: Hands down, it is the best emergency vet clinic in Manhattan, and trust me, I've seen it all. I've seen it all as I had a dog with cancer (who recovered and lived a full life afterward), and I used to visit emergency rooms during his cancer therapy due to all things you can imagine: low white blood cell count, etc. Now, we have a cat, Sultan, a two-year-old boy, who had an emergency, and our vet recommended VEG. We were welcomed instantly, treated with the utmost care and kindness, and professionally by all staff and doctors. Even if our little "Panthera" was acting out badly. We were in and out within an hour. I understand that some give them 1 star. I suspect they don't have the real emergency experience, where you typically wait an hour for each little action, and still, you can't blame anyone, as it's an emergency. Fantastic experience: Brought my cat here and immediately was taken care of. Every single person here is a gem. Their bedside banner, communication, patience, involvement with owner and their pet on updates, results, procedures is impeccable. They were so thorough and you can see how much care they put into each patient and owner. Very appreciative of the entire staff here

Negative experience: Terrible veterinarian practice and service. Only bring your animal here as a last resort. Very unprofessional and not one serious employee there. Everyone is inexperienced, naive, and lack proper organization among staff. They do not know how to properly prep and animal for x rays and will lounge around with half the staff aimlessly sitting around or 6 people tending to one animal. We watched our vet scroll on his phone for 1 full hour in front of us before he got up and came to tend to us. All this on top of $1000… unnacceptable
