Fantastic experience: Dr. Kwon and receptionist Sarah are outstanding! Dr. Kwon goes above and beyond for every patient, considering every possible condition, showing incredible patience, and giving the most thorough physical exams I’ve ever seen. She takes the time to carefully examine every detail, and it’s clear how much she truly cares. Sarah is equally amazing, always responding within minutes and never hesitating to reach out to other vets to ensure everything is in order. Their teamwork and dedication make every visit smooth, reassuring, and caring. I feel so grateful that my cat is in their hands!

Fantastic experience: We love Veterinaire Pet Care! They are so gentle with our cat, Kitty, and make every effort to ensure she’s comfortable. There’s never a wait. Clean facility and amazing staff! Everyone from front desk, vet tech, to the vet are truly amazing, knowledgeable, and patient. We won’t go any where else and actually look forward to our visits! They care and follow up via email. I typically ask them my long list of questions and they always get back to me within 12 hrs. Exceptional service and communication!

Fantastic experience: I researched several vet clinics in our area online, and multiple people recommended VPC for cats. I started going here since a year ago and have been here several times. They have separate entrance for dogs and cats to ensure pet’s comfort. All my visits are wonderful. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and they always greet me and my pet so nicely. They are also very responsive through phone and email, which I greatly appreciated. For the Doctors, my pet has been seen by Dr Kwon and Dr Durga in the past. They are all amazing doctors. Very professional and caring for my cat. The vet assistants are also great and helpful. They would answer my questions patiently and handle my pet with care. The vet charges are also fair and reasonable in my perspective. The vets won’t over-treat my cat, nor promote expensive items. Reschedule and cancellation policy is flexible. All in all, I found my past experience at this place very positive. I hope they will keep up the good work, and I will continue going there.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been bringing our dog Gordy here since we moved to Jersey City—the team members are all wonderful (special shout out to Jane!). You can tell they really care about the well-being of the pets that come in.

Fantastic experience: Dr Kwon and everyone I’ve dealt with at veterinare pet care have always been thorough and caring. I have a very nervous, shy diabetic cat that they somehow always mange keep at ease for all of his appointments. ( which require blood draws) Dr Kwon not only calls to explain results she emails thorough reports and explains all of results with a total overview of your appointment along with future appointment recommendations to keep my cat the healthiest he can be. We’re receiving the best possible care!

Fantastic experience: Our dog can be a little drama queen sometimes when it comes to needles and shots but whenever we have vet visits and check ups, he turns into the goodest boy for the staff at Veterinaire, and I think that speaks to the amount of diligence and love that everyone at this office has toward their furry patients. From the receptionists to the vet techs to Dr. Kwon, I cannot be anymore pleased with our experiences here, and I trust them fully with my dog’s care. Everyone is so incredibly sweet and kind, and I appreciate the knowledge and communication that Dr. Kwon conveys to us at every visit. She’s patient, listens to any concerns that you may have, is transparent in giving you her thoughts and what she thinks might be the best next move, and most importantly is absolutely wonderful with our dog during exams and check ups. When Salsa makes a bee-line toward the direction of Veterinaire when we’re in the area, it can only mean that he has positive experiences here and wants to go back!

Fantastic experience: We had a very positive experience at this veterinary clinic with our dog. The doctors and staff were attentive, kind, and professional. The clinic was clean and well maintained, which immediately made us feel comfortable. We especially appreciated that they did not push unnecessary tests or treatments. Everything was explained clearly and thoughtfully, and we felt that the care was genuinely focused on what was best for our dog.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit with our first puppy, everyone was great and super helpful! The receptionists, and veterinarians! They explained everything we needed for our pup within the first 16-weeks of growing, they sent us home with a care package explaining everything. Fantastic experience: We went for a regular check up for my dog, Skye. She got her updated vaccines, bloodwork and stool samples done. The office promised me that we could have a female doctor due to my dog feeling uncomfortable around men and they delivered without any judgment. The vet tech and doctor made sure that I understood everything that was happening and made me feel very comfortable during every part of the process. They treated my dog as if she was their own, and I am very grateful for the experience. They were also very transparent with me about the costs when I asked them and we work together to figure out what services I would do today and what services I might want to come back for later. That means a lot to me. Thank you so much!

The team was great in helping me navigate the later stages of kidney disease and then when I ultimately had to put Kingston down, they were so helpful, comforting and empathetic. I knew when I got Brooks that I would bring him here. The doctors and techs are wonderful and always keep a calm demeanor around him (when he is especially stressed and nervous). Fantastic experience: Dr. Qwon is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough and she has provided excellent care for our cat. It is a pleasure interacting with Dr. Qwon and her staff - all of whom are welcoming, professional, and take the time to patiently answer our questions and explain treatment options. Veterinaire is also punctual with regard to appointment times (thus minimal waiting in the office lobby).

I often correspond with them via email with questions and to schedule appointments which has made my life so much easier!

Negative experience: I took my cat here to get his tooth checked because he had been drooling. The vet here recommended tooth extraction for possibly two teeth, even though only 1 was clearly the issue. I explained that brushing was helping and that my cat was no longer drooling once I started brushing. He said brushing doesn’t matter and surgery was needed. The quote from them was $2500-$2750. I got a second opinion and the tooth is okay for now, the other vet encouraged regular brushing. If in 3 months it needs to be extracted, it would be $800 which is much different than the quote from here. The vet in Bayonne spent much more time with me and really checked thoroughly.

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr. Choi and her assistance for all the support that gave me with Suki. She was diagnosed with skin cancer and than had several other tumors. You would lot believe she was so sick. Dr, Choi was very compassionate and is an extraudinary Veternarian. It was a devastating decision I had to make and they were there for me. She and her assistant gave ne a hug and I just broke down and cried. She also handed me a little bottle with some of her hair which I will never forget

Negative experience: Dr Choi misdiagnosed my 7 year old cat, who is now terminally ill with cancer. Zero compassion. This practice’s number one priority is making a profit. If you care about your pet, go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I’m a veterinarian myself and this is the place I chose to go to with my own dog, Coquette. The way Vet Med should be practiced today - animal friendly, low stress environment and scheduling, friendly office staff, great doctors and nurses. Strongly recommend this clinic to all pet parents.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to Veterinaire with our two adult cats for a few years now and have always had a great experience. Every doctor and vet tech we’ve met has been friendly, gentle, and caring with our boys, and they’re very upfront about pricing. There’s a separate entrance for feline patients and canine ones, and the space is clean and inviting. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I brought my sweet baby Steve here for a second opinion, given the first opinion was that Steve is very sick and should be put down. Well, turns out the first opinion was correct so we ended up Euthanizing Steve yesterday in the care of Veterinaire. Despite it being absolutely devastating, the staff and doctor were wonderful. They found out my sweet boy was a Pizza Cat and made his little bandaid to look like pepperoni on pizza. They cried with me, showed so much love and compassion. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us.

Negative experience: I have been a loyal customer for several years, but my confidence in your service has been lost following a severe incident this past Saturday. My dog received four vaccinations as recommended by the doctor (more than the two originally planned). Approximately three hours later, Crush had a severe allergic reaction, including vomiting and facial swelling, requiring an emergency room visit and resulting in a large unexpected bill. When I tried to contact this place for advice, I learned it was already closed after 1 PM. Compounding the issue, the ER doctor informed us that the vaccination bandage should have been removed, a critical instruction we were never given upon discharge. We are left with questions about the recommendation for four shots and extremely disappointed by the lack of after-hours support and negligent post-care instructions, which created unnecessary risk and expense for our pet.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Kwon and Maxwell were absolutely fabulous!!! I brought in a stray and they were very kind, patient, and gentle to my new kitty. I spent much of my time with Maxwell and he’s honestly the best vet tech I’ve ever worked with. Super knowledgeable and graciously addressed my questions and concerns. Dr. Kwon and Maxwell are a great team and their love for animals and their owners shines through. Many thanks!!!

We created pet health card, made apt to establish care, scheduled vaccinations, and shared old medical records, all via emails and call, without stepping into the clinic. Fantastic experience: I usually NEVER write reviews but I absolutely had to after the two experiences I’ve had here. This business is absolutely incredible. Everyone from the reception staff, to the techs and especially the vets. I found my then 3-week old little Arya in a backyard and she unfortunately had a bad case of constipation caused by parasites. The Vet tech I spoke to on my first visit was enthusiastic and helpful and he was just the beginning. The vet (sadly, I can’t remember his name but he’s truly amazing) was knowledgable, kind, patient, and empathetic. Everyone I interacted with was phenomenal from Start to finish. They called me in early on my follow up visit, they sent me a follow up email and my kitten is now 5-weeks old and my only problem now is I can’t keep up with her lol. If you want a vet office that understands what great service is and actually cares about your pet, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: The staff is awesome the only downside is the lack of parking makes it so inconvenient to go to this location when they were at Senate Place it was great because they had parking and it was walking distance from my house

Dr. Choi patiently answered all of my questions, regardless how basic they might seem. I, along with my pups, am extremely fortunate to pick Veterinarian Pet Care as our primary dog health care provider.

Fantastic experience: My cat turned into a crazy wild thing when we took him to his appointment. The staff was very patient and prescribed some calming medication for him to take next time prior to the visit and allowed me to reschedule with no penalty fee. Thank you! Positive experience: I’ve been coming here for a few years and overall everything has been great. All the staff there are super friendly and treat my dog well . The only thing that’s been missing is a follow-up call or message after my dog’s annual exam(eg fecal test, heartworm test , etc ) . I know most of time no news is good news , but it would be nice if I can get a quick call or text message to assure me that everything looks good.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been taking our labrador to Veterinaire pet care for 2.5 years and couldnt be happier. We see Dr Durga or Dr Kwan and both of them are so caring and thoughtful. They never over prescribe or over sell any supplements/food/diets and always want to promote natural healing above all. They are quick to respond to all our queries and follow ups.

Fantastic experience: I have to give this place 5 stars because the amount of care and attention my cat received made me feel so taken care of. My cat peed herself and her carrier after arriving at the vets, and they held onto her for a few hours as we needed to get a urine sample. They said they would clean her up by the time we were ready to go home, however, I didnt expect them to bathe her and to also wash/disinfect the fabric carrier I brought other vets I've been to have been reluctant to offer pee pads to go home with but the techs at this office went above and beyond to care for my baby and give her dignity in a time of stress. After the appointment she was visibly much calmer than when she arrived so I know she was handled with care in my absence as well. Thank you for treating our animals with dignity and care and respect. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I just got back from an annual visit for bloodwork and vaccines. My dog (a rescue with a heart of gold) absolutely HATES the vet based on trauma from his previous life and we've had four unsuccessful visits to other vets. Dr. Albarracin was THE BEST! She was able to give him his vaccines and get bloodwork done. I will be coming to Veterinaire only from this point forward!

Fantastic experience: As a first time dog owner you don’t really know what to expect. I was so nervous and wanted my pups first vet visit to be positive. The staff at veterinaire is so sweet and made my pup feel at ease. Could not recommend them enough. I also loved the transparency regarding prices during each step of the visit so I wasn’t surprised at the end.

Fantastic experience: We brought our cat in on a Sunday night after she’d been vomiting a lot. They were super busy, but even in the chaos every person we interacted with was kind and compassionate and we were attended to quickly. This has been consistent over every visit to VEG that we have had. This time we were seen by Dr. Perez, who was very patient and straightforward as she explained what she was doing and why and what the recommended course of treatment was. It also gives me great peace of mind to know that we can come back within 24 hours and not be billed an additional visit, simply picking up from where care left off if needed. While some treatments and diagnostics can be costly, it is always so worth it to make absolutely sure that our fur babies are OK and I will come to VEG for that care every time.

Fantastic experience: I love that they are so honest with you about treatment. They don’t make you feel like you have to spend thousands of dollars if you don’t need to. I have had plenty of pets, this is the best vet I’ve ever been to

Negative experience: 2025: BEWARE: Dr. Waxman and this practice only care about making money off of you. After taking the advice of the doctor and paying thousands of dollars for the various recommendations of services, my cat passed away unexpectedly due to the heart complications that he was not treated for because we were told he did not need treatment at the time. I've had pets my entire life and this is the first vet practice that I have been to that did not share/send condolences after their "patient" passes away that was under their long-term care. I notified the office of my cats passing after going to this practice and this specific doctor for 5 years and did not receive one note or email or anything from them to offer condolences, which I feel is in poor taste and customer service. It really sends the message that this practice is only out for money sadly. (2025) ------------------------------------- 2019 Review: I brought my cat here for the first time and couldn't have been more pleased and impressed. As a first time cat owner, I had a million questions. Dr. Waxman and the vet techs went out of their way to answer every question I had about my recently adopted cat without ever making me feel rushed. They were extremely thorough, informative, personable, and caring. We will definitely be returning to this practice. (2019)

Fantastic experience: Veterinaire has been so patient with my reactive and nervous rescue. The vets have been so helpful in referring us to behavioral specialists for her and finding the right medications that work best to treat her reactivity from her trauma pre-rescue. Not to mention, today our vet succeeded in giving her vaccinations, a nail trim, and drawing blood for a heartworm test which is historically an issue because of her vet anxiety. Honeybee and I are so glad we found Veterinaire!

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and helpful. The doctors are knowledgeable and patient. My pup gets anxious going to the vet - the drs and the techs have a way of keeping him calm enough to do what needs to be done. I would recommend this office!

Fantastic experience: We love love love the team at Veterinaire Pet Care! We’ve been bringing our rescue pup there for the last 3 years and we’ve never had a bad experiance! The entire team is fantastic (we specifically see Dr. Durga who is great—very knowledgable but isn’t pushy to sell anything which we really appreciate!). But really from top to bottom we love the team from reception to the vet techs! Cannot recommend the practice highly enough!

Fantastic experience: Dr Durga and the office staff are amazing. I felt so welcome and comfortable with my four month old puppy Gracie, who is very small. I will definitely be returning should I need anything else. The Dr was referred to me by a friend and the visit was great !

Fantastic experience: We have had dogs for the last 25 years and Dr.Waxman is by far the best vet we have ever had. He truly cares! He saved our staffi Zoe's life when we came in with her suddenly very sick. Not only did Dr.Waxman operate right then and there but it wasn't about making money, in fact he saved on costs, but most importantly the whole staff stayed after hours on a Friday night to insure Zoe was safe to come home. Honestly I would rank Dr. Waxman a million. Not once did we feel rushed. Dr.Waxman is an amazing vet and incredible person. Thank you again Veterinaire!!!

Fantastic experience: So happy that I came across this place on my search. Not being from Jersey City I wasn't sure where to take my fur baby. After reading all the reviews I felt confident to take my baby to the wonderful people at Veterinaire! I'm writing this review after my second visit just to be sure I was happy there... and I am. Dr. Waxman is so nice and gentle with my little Ozi and the two techs that handled Ozi over the past few visits were kind and gentle as well. The place is clean and I love the 2 separate entrances for cat or dog, gives me peace of mind not knowing how my fur baby or any other fur baby may react to each other. 3.27.2025 update Overall still pretty happy with this place. Main doctor is barely there now since they opened a new location in Montclair. We saw Dr. Choi for the first time. She was actually very sweet and gentle with Ozi. No issues with his shots and she was able to answer and address all my concerns.
