Truss Vet - Veterinary Urgent Care

Fantastic experience: After our puppy suspectedly ate a bath mat, we went to 4 vets in 3 days before finally going to Truss Vet in Cary for an ultrasound. I can confidently say the care / staff at Truss Vet is unmatched! It is evident from the moment you walk in the door that the staff here is passionate about what they do and truly care about your pets. I specifically want to acknowledge our nurse, Riley, who was amazing ! Riley was patient with both me and my puppy and I could tell she truly loves her job. She took the time to explain the plan of care as well as answered all my questions. although we traveled from over an hour away, I would return to Truss Vet in a heartbeat if my puppy ever needed urgent care again! Thank you Truss Vet for loving/ caring for my puppy as though he were your own!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Truss as my dog needed an abdominal ultrasound. When I walked in one of the first things that I noticed was how clean it was and how fresh it smelled, which is not always common in veterinary practices. There's incredibly cute art painted on one of the walls. They have a cute little beverage and snack station. But frankly, none of that matters. This was one of the most amazing interactions I have ever had at any veterinary practice in my entire life. Everyone was so incredibly kind, they treated my chunky, blind, diabetic dog so well. She is usually rather fearful when we have to go to vets and I feel like it was the calmest I can remember seeing her in recent memory. From the young lady who was manning the front, to the gentleman who I believe was a vet tech or a nurse I'm not sure, to speaking with Dr. Stone after the procedure. It could not have been a better experience and I am so thankful that they are who I chose for this procedure. I cannot say enough great things about my experience today and would not hesitate to utilize them again should I need to. Five stars all day.

Fantastic experience: Last night I came home and thought my dog might be experiencing bloat. I arrived at Truss around 8 PM in tears, explaining my concerns, and the staff didn’t hesitate for a second—they immediately took her to the back to be evaluated. Thankfully, it turned out not to be the case. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but I do remember Dr. Stone and Alex. From the moment I walked through the door until the time I left, everyone was incredibly kind, understanding, and helpful. After they took Coco to the back and brought me to a room, they came to update me as soon as they knew my main concern wasn’t the issue, which meant so much because I wasn’t left sitting there worrying and crying. I had always heard wonderful things about this place, and last night I experienced it firsthand. Their prices are fair, and they never tried to push unnecessary services. They were honest, compassionate, and supportive from start to finish. I truly can’t thank all of you enough for the care and compassion you showed—not only to Coco, but to me as well. Long story short, if you ever need urgent care for your pet, make Truss your first stop I also found this cute little certificate they made in her bag of medication’s when I got home.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible experience here! Our cat was having some urinary issues, and after calling our normal vet they recommended Truss as an urgent care, and oh my gosh, where was this place and other urgent care vets 4 years ago? Same day appointment, matter of fact they were able to see our cat within the hour from when we called, got a diagnosis and were out very quickly! If you have a pet that needs medical attention but it is not a life threatening emergency, come here! The ER vets are so backed up and 4 years ago they wouldn't see our same pet for what was a much more serious issue, but an urgent care at the time would have more than sufficed. Seriously, more pet owners need to know about urgent care vets! Truss is incredible and you need look no further for urgent but non ER needs!

Fantastic experience: My dog Ross and I had just the best experience of Truss a little over a month ago. Ross was out on the back deck napping, as a 14 year old dog will do. When he woke up, he was shaking and I noticed that his front paw was bloody. His vet had a busy Friday and said they couldn’t see him until after the weekend and recommend Truss. While the Durham office had a bit of a wait, their Cary one could see us immediately. When we arrived we were able to check in without wait. Within five minutes the vet-tech saw us and within five minutes of that the vet also saw us. Both seemed very knowledgeable and were great with Ross. Before they took him back to work on his badly infected claw bed, I was provided with an accurate estimate of the total cost, which was well below what I had prepared myself to pay. They took good care of giving him a IV of anesthesia, thoroughly cleaning Ross’s paw, and ensuring he had the medications he would need until we could get him to his vet. They also did a great job of following up several times over the weekend to ensure all was well. Since COVID it has been a struggle to find a vet with customer services that is good, let alone great, but every part of our experience at Truss was great. I hope not to need an emergency vet any time in the near future, but Ross and I certainly will go back at Truss if needed.

Fantastic experience: I am probably one of the most critical people who will write a review. However, I cannot find anything to criticize about our visit with the exception of it being in urgent Care versus an emergency room. They had limitations on certain types of sedation and equipment, which given the fact is urgent care and not an emergency room, it is understandable. If you have a major need I would call ahead and make sure they have the needed equipment, etc. My fur baby has notable fear anxiety/aggression issues at the vet and they not only took the time to wait for her to calm down a bit, but also worked with us to find ways for the visit to proceed to get the needed testing, etc. At first it was looking like the visit was going to be a no-go because she would not sedate enough for treatment. But after time and creative working with the vet and techs we were able to get what we needed. All of her issues were not resolved understandably so, however, we were at least able to rule out any life-threatening issues, which was the main reason for the visit. Hopefully I never need to, but would definitely come back. As the owner, they were respectful to us as well as considerate of our concerns and took the time to listen to what we had to say. As a bonus, they had snacks and coffee which was nice since we had to skip dinner to go there. Can't say enough good about the experience, which is something if you know me.

Fantastic experience: I booked a same day reservation to have my dog seen for a problem visit, as a new patient. They were very fast to take us back and took good care of her while we were there! Staff at front desk, as well as the nurse and vet were all very friendly and helpful! Pricing seemed average for similar visits I have taken her to elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Best care for us and our cat Ruby! Ruby was bleeding from her mouth and we were very scared. The staff was warm and had a sense of humor that was just right for our situation. Only recommendation would be some music or sound playing. It was too quiet! But we will def be back in the future if need be.

Fantastic experience: All of the staff were wondeful - very caring and kind. Dr. Gibbons and Ashton took good care of Winston. Dr. Gibbons explained the wound and how to care for it at home. He is a good listener.

Fantastic experience: I have visited this clinic numerous times with both my cat and my dog and have nothing but good things to say overall. Staff has always been incredibly friendly from the minute. I walk into reception to when they put me in a room with the vet tech, and when the vet comes in to see me. I’ve been there when they’ve been incredibly busy, but they still always take the time to break everything down and talk to me. they are always very transparent with prices. They actually sit with you and breakdown each and every cost of each intervention and will tell you what they prioritize. Of course, being an urgent care and more an emergency place the prices are a little higher than your normal vet, but they are available on Sundays and available after hours which is really important for people like me who can’t always call out of work for pet needs so sometimes I will bring them to the clinic after work.

Fantastic experience: We had such a great experience. The entire staff were pleasant and they were able to see us on short notice today. Dr. Gibbons and his nurse were so kind and helpful, taking the time to explain and prepare me with the best options to consider for care for my pet.

Fantastic experience: We brought our 17 year old min pin today after he injured himself falling off the bed. I cannot say enough good things about all of the staff at Truss Vet, from the receptionist, to the vet tech, Destanie, to Dr. Stone. They got us in quickly, took a conservative approach, explained our options and every charge in easy to understand language and sent us home with a bill that was totally reasonable and a dog that was in much better shape than when we came in. 5 stars!! I recommend them without hesitation!

The staff answered all my questions and clearly explained the costs up front, which I really appreciated. Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough how amazing this place is. From my initial phone call with the receptionist who was so kind and got me right in, up until the second I walked out the door, everyone was great. Brought my baby in today and was met with nothing but kindness and reassurance throughout the entire process. Our vet nurse, Alex, was awesome. She walked me through the entire treatment process, and kept me company while we got my dog treated. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her, as I was a nervous wreck! It’s never a good experience when your pet doesn’t feel good, but Alex and Dr. Schneider did all they could to help both my baby and I. Thank you to the entire Truss Vet team!

Fantastic experience: We took our 5 year old beagle Scarlett to Truss for an eye infection and they were great. The front desk girl on the phone was super knowledgeable and walked me through pricing and what to expect when it comes to eye testing before we even decided to come in, which honestly helped a lot. We were seen fast, the nurse Vanessa was really sweet with Scarlett, and Dr. Stone explained step by step all of the tests he was completing. Both Vanessa and Dr.Stone are super passionate about what they do and it shows. They even said Scarlett was one of the calmest beagles they’ve ever met, which made me and my husband’s whole day lol. Overall just a smooth and easy visit.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and professional in treating our dog. We were given all the results right away of the tests that were done. The doctor and the nurse were both very caring and thorough.

Fantastic experience: Our visit was a few months ago at this point, but I just wanted to leave a review after the great experience we had! We had found a stray senior dog (we named him Fletcher) a week prior to our visit, and after formally adopting him, we were hoping to get a general analysis of his health before bringing him home, since the shelter did not have a chance to. Truss was the only place where we could get an appointment that late. They were very accommodating and got us scheduled quickly! During our visit, the staff was caring, and it was obvious they love animals. They were proud to help our stray dog get back on his feet. They took the time to thoroughly explain all health concerns and the treatment options. All of our questions were answered, and Truss sent us home with confidence that our new dog would be safe and healthy after the treatment plan. Today I am happy to report that Fletcher is doing very well, he is extremely healthy for his age, and he has adjusted to his new home. He’s a happy boy! Thank you Truss vet for setting this guy up for success!

Negative experience: It blows my mind this place has all these 5 star reviews. My guess is they offered some kind of incentive to get them? Ive had the same awesome and honest vet for 15 years and due to wanting to get my cat a chest xray in a hurry, I went here. What a mistake! This place is all about maximizing profits over helping the animals. You will spend way more time looking at prices on an iPad than them caring about the pet. Within 20 minutes, they had the bill up to $800. Shame on you Truss. Never again!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful team who was eager to help me determine what was causing my dog's ailment. Thankfully, it turned out to be minor. But, this team didn't give up and gave my dog the attention that he needed even though it turned out not to be an emergency. It's hard when our animals can't explain what's causing the pain.

Fantastic experience: Dr, Schneider and her nurse Mia were so kind and compassionate! We were coming home from a beach trip and noticed our dog was in a lot of discomfort. We stopped here and the receptionist was so sweet and got us right in. I don’t even think we were there a full hour. The prices were extremely fair as well! Highly recommend! Thanks ladies ❤️

Fantastic experience: My dog was boarded at Bone Voyage in Garner NC when he started pooping blood. My husband and I were out of state when we received the call so we asked if he could see a vet. The in house vets were unavailable at the time so the lady at the boarding place took him to Truss. They did an amazing job evaluating Benji and he is doing much better now. I highly recommend Truss Vet.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this vet to anyone needing urgent care for their pet. They were able to see my kitty with a uti immediately when I came in on black Friday. Fantastic experience: I was visiting from Georgia and my Great Dane had an upset tummy with diarrhea and Truss Vet treated her with the same compassion and kindness and love that I do. They were understanding and communicative with me as the owner and explained everything about my dog, Joy, and how to treat her. Truss was very affordable and got us in and out fast! I’m so appreciative and grateful for Truss, thankful I found them!

Fantastic experience: Great experience tonight. Took my sick pup in for controlling his vomiting. Everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. The vet was thorough and diagnosed him with mild upset stomach. Gave him a bolus and a shot for nausea, and prescribed pills for use as needed. Pup and I were very pleased. It’s been 4 hours since and no more vomiting.

Fantastic experience: Our regular vet wasn’t able to get us in until few days later so I googled vets that would be available for walk in and found Truss Vet and we are so happy we found them. We have been in emergency rooms before but this was first time finding out about vet urgent care. Our boy had ear infection and he was miserable. Kelsey and Dr. Gibbons were wonderful, they explained everything very well including the cost beforehand and treatment needed. They took great care of our boy, he was feeling so much better afterwards and he absolutely loved the award he received (those personal touches make a great difference). I would definitely use Truss vet in the future and would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to come to Truss since my primary veterinary clinic was closed. I would hands down recommend Truss Vet to anyone needing Urgent or Emergent care for their fur baby. Zoey was treated with love the entire time. The ease of scheduling an appointment online and the ability to just walk in was phenomenal. I found the medical staff to be kind, caring, confident. Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend Truss Vet enough. Our pup took a turn over the weekend and I’m thankful they were open on a Sunday! It was our first time there, but they took great care of my 3 month old golden from the moment we walked in the door. I was able to get in quickly with them and the process itself was so smooth. Dr. Stone and his team were thorough, had great bedside manner, and made sure to address all my concerns/questions. And my pup did not want to leave because he loved them so much haha. Fantastic experience: My dog came in for an ultrasound. Everyone was very kind and gentle with him. They were also great about explaining everything to me so I knew what was going on and understood his results.

Fantastic experience: Dr Colin stone was the best doctor I have ever seen. He genuinely cares, communicates well, and is very knowledgeable. Even my husband said it was a “night and day difference” seeing him compared to other vets we had seen, in the best way possible. His nurse is just as wonderful too. My dog is my everything so it takes a lot for me to trust another person and I trusted Dr Colin stones with finding answers and giving a care plan.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to Truss for about a year now, and with 4 cats that means we have been here a LOT in that year. I do not have words for what a relief it has been to find the first vet practice in all my years of cat ownership that we feel we can trust completely and without reservation. There are a lot of things I love: 1. I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen by the vet, and we’re always put straight into a private room upon walking in. Considering a couple of my cats are terrified of the vet, not sitting in a lobby with a bunch of other stressed out animals is super important to us. 2. They’re a fear free practice. Our primary vet always upset me because they default to scruffing my cats every time, and I think that’s unacceptable. Contrast that to my experience here where I once had a vet who did my cat’s exam lying on the floor to reach her under a chair she was hiding behind because “that’s where she feels safe.” She is NOTABLY less afraid of the vet and groomer now and I think her consistent gentle experiences here are part of why. 3. They strike the balance of offering every possible intervention they think may be helpful while also understanding that cost may be a concern. They have suggested I wait a few days and have my primary vet do some non-urgent stuff since it may be cheaper, proposed where I can find supplements online for less money, or told me when they feel it may be reasonable to hold off on an intervention or test for the time being. At the same time, they are VERY THOROUGH in their treatment proposals and clearly want to provide the highest possible standard of care I am comfortable with and can afford. I always feel sure they have given me every option and explained why it may be important, and also that my final decision will be respected. They’ve also routinely given me quotes and then *left the room* so my spouse and I can privately discuss finances without feeling pressured. We are poor. This is a big deal. I NEVER feel like they are trying to scam me or squeeze every last cent out of a visit. When I pay for something, I am confident they would not have encouraged me to do it if it wasn’t necessary. 4. They care about getting to root causes and not just treating symptoms. I have a cat with twelve severe environmental allergies and food allergies that no other vet even suggested might be present. Dr. Stone is the one who immediately knew her over grooming and skin infections were allergic responses and got us to see a dermatologist. Sure enough, she was excruciatingly itchy and needed a new diet and allergy shots. 2 previous vets did not bother to suggest anything except wound care. I’m so glad we got sent on the right path to making her comfortable in the long term versus simply treating her skin infections and tossing her out the door again. 5. They don’t treat you like you’re stupid. I’ve had a dozen cats over 22 years. I currently have 4 and 2 with special needs. I know my cats and I know cat care. They talk to me respectfully and like I am able to understand the concepts they’re sharing- which I am! I feel like an equal partner in my cat’s care every time. If Truss *ever* expands into primary care, we will be the first people at the door. Having seen 4 vets now and many techs, I can say wholeheartedly that I would trust every single one with my cats’ lives. I spent a decade feeling panic every time we had an emergency because I was trying to pick the least-worst vet for the situation. Now I know exactly where to go and that they will know how to help and make us feel better, not worse.

Fantastic experience: I took my 12-year old fur baby in for an ultrasound and Isaac, Destiny, Dr. Gibbons were absolutely amazing and wonderful. My baby was very sick and we had no idea. These people are compassionate, caring, professional and treated me with respect and understanding. Abby checked on my baby and me the next day, and I told her that my Mollie had crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. They are the most compassionate people in any Veterinary Hospital. I am so grateful for these people and the work they do every day.

Fantastic experience: I just checked my mailbox today and found this very heartwarming message from Truss. My cat was euthanized last month. They were very understanding and supportive when we were overwhelmed by guilt and sadness. They even took some parts out of the bill after knowing our situation. Fantastic experience: No wonder this place has amazing reviews! They were amazing with my dog and our 4 month old baby who had to come along for the appointment. I took my dog for an eye infection. I was able to schedule an appointment overnight and got in first thing in the morning. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We’ve struggled in the past at different vets because she’s a very anxious rescue but at Truss they made her feel very comfortable. I had my baby with me and they got us in and out very quick! Our vet, Dr. Stone, took the time to explain diagnosis, treatment and cost. I was so impressed with how thorough everyone was. I got a text the next day checking on her and an email with detailed visit notes and instructions. Will definitely be back if we ever need it!

Fantastic experience: I took my 10 year old cat Barty to Truss Cary after he started limping. My normal vet recommended Truss as a more affordable urgent care alternative to the emergency vet. I couldn't have been happier with my experience. They took us straight back to a room and a nurse checked on him while we waited for the doctor. She was concerned about his breathing and had the doctor take an urgent look. Luckily he was just stressed and in pain, but I appreciated the precaution since they aren't familiar with him. They went over all the options and worked with me to spend as little as possible while still getting the x-rays and pain relief needed. The doctor went above and beyond by showing me the xrays in detail and comparing them to normal xrays as well. No fracture, but we did discover some significant arthritis and they gave meds to help with pain in the clinic and at home and provided extra information on arthritis in cats as well.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit was everything we needed and more! Ashton and Dr. Gibbons treated our senior kitty with respect, tender care and gave us so much information about her potential issues and treatments. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience at Truss! Needed to get an ultrasound on my dog and they took her in right away. Dr. Stone and Vanessa were awesome!!! They spent hours with us and with Angel, my dog. Nothing really showed up on the ultrasound but they continued to try and find a solution for her. This is some of the best care I have ever received and I would highly recommend Truss to anyone who needs an Urgent Care!!!

Fantastic experience: It feels incredibly strange to give a 5-star review to the place where I had to unexpectedly let my only 5-year-old cat go to sleep, but can't say enough how remarkable the care and commitment was at Truss. I had no idea I would be letting him go when I got to Truss, but Dr. Stone especially (as well as Dr. McMillan initially) clearly, calmly, knowledgeably, and kindly made the severity of his sudden condition and the options in front of me something I could begin to wrap my head around. Karen at the Durham office desk went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable in the initial appointment as I learned I was in my final hours with my cat, offering truly human kindness in the most needed moments that she was under no obligation to give. Every small moment and transition at Truss, I felt both my and my cat's comfort and best interests were proactively considered. Further, I felt partnered with in making one of the most difficult decisions of my life that I didn't expect to face for a decade. I can't say enough how grateful I am that when I had to consider it, it was alongside people who were profoundly committed to making both me and my cat as comfortable as possible. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Vet and technician were very caring in treating my dog who is majorly anxious with vets. Normally we do an in home visit with our vet, but needed an urgent visit and our vet suggested Truss. There was a little bit of a wait even though I had an appointment scheduled, but that downside was outweighed by the care we received. It was worth the wait!

Fantastic experience: Truss was amazing. My dog was having GI issues and our regular vet couldn't see him, so they recommended Truss. The staff was friendly and professional, the office was spotless, and they treated my dog incredibly kindly even though he can be reactive when with me. My pup likely has pancreatitis but they got him comfortable enough that we could follow up with our primary vet. I 100% recommend them. Editing to add that we've used Truss many more times since my initial review and they've always been wonderful for both of our dogs and our cat. Dr. Stone and Dr. Schneider have been especially amazing.

Fantastic experience: I just left there after an emergency visit because my dog was extremely sick and it came on suddenly. This was by far the best experience I have had with a vet and I really appreciate the care that they put into our emergency visit. The vet took the time to go through a plan thoroughly in order to diagnose my dog. Thankfully the vet knew what was wrong with my dog after testing, and was able to refer me to an emergency room to be admitted overnight. If you’re having any emergency with your pet, definitely take them to Truss. I’m so grateful. Updating my review because I just came back for a second time nine months after my first visit with Truss, and again was the best experience I’ve had! The vet was so patient with my dog and waited for her to feel comfortable before proceeding with any examination which I really appreciated, and sure enough my dog warmed up to him! Would 100% recommend this vet!!

Fantastic experience: I am a pet sitter who had a situation where one of my lovely furry clients ate part of a leather toy. I coordinated with her mom to get her into her usual vet which ended up not working out last minute, so I called Truss vet and they were able to take her in. The staff was very kind and attentive and kept me in the loop while they were seeing her so that I was able to keep her mom updated. They were able to help her expel the leather (and I could hear them from the room I was waiting in encouraging and cheering her on sweetly) and send us on our way so that I could take her home. You never know what you will get when you have to choose an unfamiliar urgent care vet, and I knew we were in good hands there! I will use them again in the future if any of my own pets or others under my care need prompt attention.

Fantastic experience: Truss Vet is hands down the best veterinary experience I’ve had in the 7 years of owning my husky, Jasper. Over the summer, Jasper became extremely ill… like life-or-death ill… and after months of multiple vets trying to help, we still never found the cause. During that time, the team at Truss Vet went above and beyond to bring him back to health. They are incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate, and they even collaborated with the specialists at Blue Pearl when Jasper had to stay overnight there (not at Truss) during the worst of his illness. For a moment, I thought I had lost him, but thanks to their care, Jasper is back to his old rowdy self today. I’m so grateful for their dedication, communication, and genuine love for animals. I cannot recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: After a month of veterinary visits and blood tests we took our senior Maltipom to Truss Vet for a second opinion. Dr. Gibbons reviewed labs we gave him and, based on a couple concerns, suggested a test for Addison disease or proceed with an ultrasound. We chose the latter and less than an hour later we had definitive results. There are 2 masses with lymph node involvement in her small intestine which caused the weight loss, diarrhea and appetite loss. Now we have answers we need to move forward. Highly recommend this group!

Fantastic experience: I brought my baby in because she hadn't gone to the bathroom in over 24 hours. I was greeted by Ashton and though I was anxious and worried about my cats condition, Ashton's kind and professional demeanor made me feel confident that My kitty was in good hands. She was so sweet and loving to my cat and just watching Ashton soothe my cat while Dr. Snieder examined her was a comfort to me. Dr. Snieder is very knowledgeable, kind, professional, empathetic, and honest. As a cat mom with major OCD and anxiety, I had a zillion questions and the Doctor and all her staff were so patient and understanding. In no way did I feel any coldness, "robotic" or impersonal vibes that I have sometimes felt at a doctor's or vets office here. I understand sometimes being in a professional environment that can happen, but feeling the warmth from the staff here helped me to trust they had our back and that they truly cared for my baby too. After I took Bella home my mind was racing still with questions and I called close to closing. I didnt want to be a bother but when your OCD wont stop and you still have concerns, you just have to bite the bullet and call. They were understanding and patient and helped me understand why certain interventions were and weren't done, and showed me how up to date Dr. Snieders knowledge and research really is. If you are looking for an outstanding group of people to care for your pet, this is the real deal. I wish they could be out primary, but I am so grateful they are here in the event of sn emergency.

Fantastic experience: Heading into Labor Day weekend our primary vet was OOT. My lab had been vomiting since 7a. I was able to easily schedule an appointment online. The facility was brand new and had easy access parking. Our lab got sick again in the lobby and the receptionist was gracious and empathetic with his condition We were seen right away by a nurse who gathered information and took his vitals. The Dr. saw him shortly after and gave him an exam and made recommendations based on his condition and history. Pricing was transparent prior to care and we were able to determine course of care. He was treated and sent home with aftercare instructions. We also received a follow up email with all of the info above. Would highly recommend as a primary or urgent care situation. The team was kind, thorough and empathetic.

Positive experience: They helped my dog with a crazy rash. I appreciate that. My dogs and I are not as socially equipped as we need to be due to the pandemic and being a caregiver FT. But I need to say this - even fearful dogs need to be acknowledged and have a nice pet on the head. Y’all did so little to make my dog comfortable besides injecting him with expensive meds I had to pay for. If they’re fully secured in the muzzle - AND ALL YOU DO IS COME IN THERE AND TREAT THEM LIKE A NUMBER AND CASH - THEY MAY NOT BE RECEPTIVE. GET some COURAGE and try to make them feel comfortable! Pet them! Acknowledge them! They sense you’re not ‘fear free’ and only there to help you collect your outrageous vet fee.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Truss when my cat needed an abdominal ultrasound. Once they got the referral from my primary vet they were able to get us in the next day, which is super speedy! Everyone was very friendly and the vet was very thorough in explaining the results to me.

Fantastic experience: We arrived around 8pm and left around 9:30pm. Not bad for a last minute appointment! Zuko was able to get effective treatment and the service was great! Fantastic experience: My regular emergency vet had a lot of critical cases today and suggested I try an urgent care instead. I’m glad they were able to see my puppy at Truss for her UTI at 6 pm on a Sunday and I didn’t have to wait until Monday to get her some relief. I recommend this vet for non-emergency urgent care! Fantastic experience: Dr. Stone and Dr. Waffa (not sure if he’s still there) are the best!!! I came a couple years ago with my Gisele for kennel cough and Dr. Waffa immediately cared for her like his own. He gave me the treatment (cough tablets) and sent me on my way as quickly as possible so I could get her home to comfort her. He is the absolute best, honestly. I owe him so much. Just recently on Sunday, I called them to ask how long the wait was. Literally, I get there and there was NO wait. Can you believe that?! Every other vet urgent care will have you waiting for hours to see your under the weather pet. That is ridiculous. But here at Truss vet in Cary, they are like family. As soon as Gisele walked in Truss on Sunday, they did not waste ANY time. The vet tech came in and worked up the information to relay to the vet and not even 15 minutes later Dr. Colin Stone walked in and told me everything I needed to know. He expressed her glands, sent us home with SSD cream for the rash on her bottom (all within 30 minutes!!!) and from there everyday they checked in on us by either calling or texting me. That is true, genuine customer service. I absolutely love them. Thank you so much. You all really are the best. Gisele says thank you as well!

Fantastic experience: We took our dog there at 8pm as we thought he had an ear infection. They saw us right away, did a diagnostic and vitals, and diagnosed quickly. The staff and the vet were all really nice and caring! We would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We had a very positive experience with all the staff at Truss. An urgent care visit gave us information we needed to move forward with care for our senior dog. Everyone was compassionate and caring, from the receptionist to the nurses and Dr. Gibbons. Unfortunately we had to make the decision to bring peace to our Dakota, but they again were exceptional in this situation. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: The easiest, best vet experience we’ve had. Truss got our dog in quickly for a same day appointment and were very thorough in their examination taking their time to ensure I fully understood the treatment plan. Very clean facility and extremely caring employees!

Fantastic experience: Truss saved my cats life. After another local emergency vet failed to discover the cause of my sweet boys fever and illness in two visits, as well as provide less than optimal treatment, Dr. Schneider was able to get him back on track by the next morning. My cat was allergic to a Hertz flea collar, which created sores on his neck that vets at VEG completely wrote off. His mouth was swollen, his neck dry and scaled, and an open abscess had formed. Again, this was overlooked by two vets at VEG. I trusted a gut feeling and took him to Truss for a second opinion. Not only was the process and environment much more positive, the care was exceptional. They did a thorough exam, and gave me realistic, comprehensive, treatment options. I, like many, cannot afford a hospitalization. Instead of pushing that sole treatment option, they understood without judgment (unlike VEG). They gave him fluids and anti-inflammatories, sent us home with a stronger antibiotic and a stronger appetite support as well as pain medication VEG declined to prescribe. Within an hour of being home, despite still recovering from sedation and exhausted from three sick days, my boy finally started to eat. By the next day, he was playing again and his wounds healing. Truss and Dr. Schneider truly saved his life in a critical situation when two prior vets had dismissed, diminished, and neglected to provide the care my baby needed. They provided compassion to an owner who was doing the best they could with limited financial resources. I received significantly more attention, spent far less time at the facility, and my kid actually got the correct care for his illness (the first time). Most notably, it was about 25% less for "the same" urgent care than at VEG. I cannot recommend Truss enough.

Dr. Stone has given me a lot of options on what steps to move forward with my dog and how to continue to make him comfortable while he is with me. Fantastic experience: We came to this urgent vet clinic for care after our husky and German Shepherd got into a fight at home. We took our husky in and they were able to get us in and assessed within 20 minutes after arrival. It was determined that she needed a few stitches and some medicine for any possible infection. She was out within a couple of hours. The staff was incredibly friendly, transparent in their pricing, and fully cooperative and explained everything post-op and follow-up care past satisfaction. Joelle was very friendly while I waited and was kind enough to chat with us to help break the tension. I will recommend this vet absolutely for urgent services, and I sincerely appreciate the staff for their top-notch support and care for our pup. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: I traveled from Greensboro for an ultrasound for our dog, Lady. She is a Maltese-Chihuahua mix. Truss Vet is a great facility. The staff is excellent. I was able to get to their location very easily using the Waze app.

Fantastic experience: Truss Vet was great. They had availability today for an urgent pet issue when our normal vet was booked solid. The website was easy to navigate and see when they had available appointment slots. All before having to enter any personal information. The worst thing on a scheduling website is to enter a ton of personal information and then be told nothing is available. This website completely avoided that. Which is perfect especially when dealing with an urgent pet situation. Everyone on the staff was delightful. The front desk was very nice and took the time to verify our information. We were quickly shown to our eam room. The nurse came in quickly was very professional but personal. Our cats opened up to her. The vet was very knowledgeable and personable. He laid out he thought on the cause as well as his treatment plan. Was a bit more pricey than a normal vet, but well worth the extra cost to get fast high quality treatment for your pet.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience at Truss. They took care of Luna incredibly well, were very compassionate and were really open and transparent about the pricing over everything. I really appreciated that! Their lobby is welcome and comfortable and they even have bottled waters for customers. If we ever need emergency care again, we will absolutely come back to Truss.

Fantastic experience: This happened last year but Truss left such a positive impression on me I had to write a review. Last year my small dog ate some carrot cake that fell on the floor and to my horror I was pretty sure the frosting had raisins in it. This happened at 8pm so my vet and any others in the area were already closed. In a panic I called a certain ER vet in the area my dog had been to before and they recommended bringing her in just to be safe. The charge for that would have been around $150 but then they told me she'd need a full vet exam even though we'd been there that year so we were looking at around $500. I've never been to Truss but I gave them a call and told them what was going on and their price was going to be less than half of what the ER vet was going to charge me. The Truss Vet on call that night heard our phone discussion and told me before I came in and stressed my dog out with a vet visit they highly recommended calling the ASPCA poison control line and seeing what they said since they were the most qualified for toxicity. So that's what I did! It costs $100 for a phone consult but everyone was so professional and so nice and they calculated that based on my pup's weight and the amount of raisins she ate she should be absolutely fine and wouldn't need to go to the vet. How incredibly kind and professional of the Truss vet to put my unknown pups needs first! I can't thank them enough for caring about my dog and doing what was best for her.

Fantastic experience: We were referred to Truss Vet Cary by our vet for an ultrasound. They were great and welcoming. We had an early morning appointment and could have been there until noon, but our dog was barking and stressing, so they were able to take care of her ultrasound right away. The vet came and talked to us about her findings. She answered all our questions and was very straightforward. We do not have anything to compare to price wise, but service and atmosphere wise, excellent!

Fantastic experience: We took our senior dog to Truss on a Sunday and were impressed with the facility, the timely service, and the friendly staff. Most noteworthy is the excellent customer service I received from the manager, Isaac, when I reached out a few weeks later with a question about our bill. It’s obvious that the leadership truly care about the customers and we were treated with so much respect and compassion even weeks after we visited. Definitely recommend using this urgent care if your pet is in need!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Colin Stone and the vet techs were truly amazing in caring for and diagnosing our cat Merlin with a urinary tract blockage. It was our second vet visit of the day after we noticed he had peed his bed and there was blood in the urine. Unfortunately, it was 9:30 pm and Truss closes at 10:00, so they could not fully treat him, but got him stable and referred us to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), who were also awesome in treating Merlin.
