Fantastic experience: Started coming to Blue Pearl Cary in the past few months due to my cat. Dr Leigh performed the diagnostic ultrasound and everything. She was upfront with any limitations the tests had. She explained everything thoroughly to me. Its a lot to take in for someone who has no education in medicine. Since the diagnosis, Ive been seeing Dr Miller with oncology. She also went over everything with me and answers any questions I have about treatment. Mia has been responding very well to treatment so thats been a huge relief for me. The appointments are easy to make and always start on time and the staff has been very friendly. I know price is a big factor for many of us. I havent been to other comparable clinics. They're a 24hr specialty/emergency clinic in/outside a major city so I just expected prices to be a little higher than what I would typically pay in my area.

Fantastic experience: Blue Pearl was able to accommodate us to get an appointment quickly (a cancellation). The entire experience was great. Our challenge with our dog was addressed and explained thoroughly. As well, our written follow up information was excellent: the Diagnosis; History; Physical Exam; Laboratory Diagnosis; Treatment administered; Assessment; Medications to be continued and Plan. Our Doctor, her assistant were excellent and the front desk was helpful and kind. We are grateful to Blue Pearl for the health and wellness of our dog!

Negative experience: Spent the last 2.5 months under the care of Blue Pearl on Recommendation. The Good: 5 Stars: Vet Tech and Animal Nursing Staff: Excellent, kind, sweet, and passionate. Articulated the overall plan, understood frustrations, and they themselves expressed frustration with the processes in place. 5 Stars: Veterinarians themselves are kind and have the best of intentions. Seem to care about the animals under their care. Poor communicators but we will get to the root cause of that below. 5 Stars: Front Desk Admin were kind and informative, as well as tolerant for peoples’ most stressful moment and worst days. The Bad: 1 Star: Communication. Their process of communication is prehistoric. There is no ability to communicate to a working set of parents. In 2026, there is no way to message both animal parents sharing costs, time, care and stress. Miscommunication led to thousands (not an exaggeration) more in costs as a result because the Care TEAM (both Parents, Vet Techs, and Veterinarians) was unable to be communicate together. 1 Star: Compared to the other 3-4 “word of mouth” locations, this one is considered one of if not THE most expensive Animal Hospitals in the Raleigh area. After the time spent there, we started asking around to Cary and Raleigh natives alongside further research in general. While costs can rarely be comparable, like for like, across an array of animal care locations, the quality of care here is worse than others. Therefore cost cannot be justified by care. The Ugly: Root Cause of Blue Pearl’s issue: 0 Stars: Ownership and Leadership. Understaffed: The Vet Techs were often severely understaffed, as they themselves admitted at least 4 times as the reason for things slipping through the cracks, poor communication, or disjointed continuity across shifts. Vets: “Sorry there is only 1 or 2 of us here and the hospital is packed with emergency patients”. Was the consistent excuse for poor communication or delays in issue resolution. Communication: They have not armed their staff with the ability to communicate with families at an acceptable level; FAR below the cost of care. Their system of communication is seemingly prehistoric considering they have no ability to digitally communicate to the combined care team (which includes both parents, simultaneously, who are both financially supporting the care). The allowance of an overcapacity of patients for the quality of care they can provide, due to poor staffing (or adjustment of capacity when staffing is an issue), the inability to provide relevant communication technology, and yet a “most or near most expensive” cost of care, falls solely on Blue Pearl’s owners and managers, and unfortunately blemishes the amazing people working daily to try to care for our worst days.

Positive experience: It became obvious shortly after I arrived, with a very sick K9 that it was the money that mattered. I understand cost, bill, overhead. I do understand.But to tell the pets owner the money had to be settled first before my pet could be treated is a sure fire way to say we are all about the money and the pet is a distant second. Owner irrelevant. Needless to say I will not be recommending blue pearl to anyone I know. As for the nurses they each and everyone I met loved my pet at first glance and treated her exceptionally well. As for the Dr., I believe gave Sadie proper care and treatment.

Positive experience: My only complaint about this place is that they took my dog out back to check the vitals and then never returned her to me. I had to go and look for someone and it took me a long time to find somebody to get her back. There was no reason for them to keep her in a different location she needed to be with me.

Fantastic experience: Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is the best. I’ve gone there with my previous pet, Diesel, when he was bitten by a very large dog. They were great then so I naturally went there when I needed a specialist for my senior rescue beagle, Jake. Jake has a large polop in his ear that is growing and if not removed could cause him future problems. I met with Sarah Lei, who listens to your problem and recommends the help they can provide you. From Sarah to the Vet Tech to the Receptionist and Cashier everyone is pleasant and friendly, including their scheduler, Kaylee. I’ve made an appointment with a surgeon for a consult about what we need to do about the polop. Blue Pearl is a very clean, impressive facility and I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: It’s hard enough to deal with a sick or even worse dying animal. In that state one should also feel like they don’t have to protect themselves from the theft of a company like this. We were baited in with the promise of a $1200 ultrasound that the original vet we went to did not have. That quickly turned into $4200, only to tell me I have to put my dog to sleep. My wife, doing better emotionally than I was tried to argue some of the bullshit charges beforehand, yet they just argued with her and insisted necessary. After speaking with a number of other vets, they should have and could have taken caution financially as they moved through diagnosis and saved thousands. We overplayed drastically bc they can’t manage their time and schedules well. I could never recommend this place to anyone. Go to NC State if you have serious problems with your animals.

Negative experience: I've been sitting on this review for a few months now just trying to process my feelings. Apologies for the length but there is no short way to describe this mess. Back in November my young cat started showing signs of liver failure and we were recommended by our normal vet to admit her to the ER because there were no obvious tumors on an ultrasound. She was under the care of both BluePearl Raleigh and Cary (she was admitted to the Raleigh location at first because they could see her faster, and then transferred to Cary to stay under the care of the internal medicine team -- this review is mostly referring to experiences at the Cary office). In total she was in the ER from Wednesday evening to Friday evening. I was very clear from the beginning that I had cost restrictions and was frequently told that they could work within that, however the bill was constantly rising without any check ins with me. Every single time I would call they would have done something new without talking to me and the bill was basically rising by 1-2k every single phone call basically. My previous experiences with ER vets has been "this is what we think is happening, these are some options to pursue" and then I would authorize it. This time it felt like I was playing catch-up on the care plan every time I was in contact with the desk. The internal medicine team was great but the communication between the team and the front desk was really broken. On the topic of the front desk, that was probably the worst part about my whole experience there. When we transferred her to the Cary office they were told ahead of time we were making the drive by the team in Raleigh. When we arrived they seemed extremely confused and actually straight up ignored us for a little bit (we were standing there with our cat in the carrier trying to check in and they kept the stream of inane office conversation going). When paying the new deposit for her to be in the clinic I thought it was low and asked about it. The front desk attendant assured me it was correct and we left. She then called us not even 10 minutes later saying she had done the math wrong and actually we owed an additional 1k+. No apology, just the cold expectation we pay through a link. My cat was dying and the desk workers felt extremely callous with little sympathy. I understand this is your workplace but the fact the first thing I see when I walk into an emergency vet office is a poll about chicken and waffles and the employees are all having a great time laughing at the front desk was incredibly jarring. You work in an extremely emotional field, I was crying or on the brink of tears every time I was in the office and you don't have some type of break room away from the front waiting area that would be more appropriate for this coworker banter?? To summarize, the internal medicine team seemed extremely competent and caring. However, the front desk between financial communication and overall "bedside manner" was enough to make me never want to go to BluePearl again.

Fantastic experience: Such wonderful staff ! Such a wonderful doctor! So understanding! So knowledgeable! So caring towards my fur baby and myself and my daughter and my other fur baby. We have been through so much because we lost our other dog to pancreatitis two years ago and our dogs Helena and Petals have had so many admissions due to stomach issues and also had many issues with coccidia and Giardia which are parasites in the stools despite us deep cleaning multiple times. My dogs would become dehydrated from vomiting and diarrhea. This time Helena had the worst bloody diarrhea. They took care of her. Did an ultrasound, bloodwork, stools showed no parasites, they gave her iv fluids and medication injections and one to take home. She was on hydrolyzed protein because she has a protein allergy so her diet wasn’t changed. The doctor even consulted with the internist because her ultrasound was a little abnormal. That I appreciated. Helena was thankfully able to come home with me. And I was able to afford to pay for the days visit. My pups have insurance so I will be able to submit it to their insurance. The discharge instructions are very clear. They also said if I had any problems to call if we had questions or if any recurrence to come back or see our vet. They are wonderful caring people!

Fantastic experience: I was referred by our Veterinarian and was extremely pleased and impressed with the service, details, and support we received while at the hospital with our fur baby. Excellent explanations were given to myself and my husband about the procedure and what to expect with medication for our fur baby. Everyone we came in contact with during our stay was extremely concerned and reassuring. I would highly recommend this animal hospital.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Blue Pearl for you pets medical needs. My fur baby Sophie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in one of her toes, (which is very uncommon) but we remove it, did chemo and she is now 3 years cancer free. I love Dr. Miller and the entire staff. Negative experience: My dog was found to have an enlarged heart and was scheduled to see a heart doctor on 12/18/25. On 12/15/25 the heart doctor technician recommended Blue Pearl for oxygen and said they could come over if needed. On the 16th I called Blue Pearl and when I arrived my dog got out of the truck and walked inside. I was met at the entrance and a lady picked up my dog and walked away. She returned, escorted me to a room and said the doctor would be in. The doctor came in and basically asked me if I wanted to try to resuscitate my dog if needed. A couple of minutes later the lady came in with the cost for different medical treatments that may be needed. One was 2800. and the other was 4700. plus or minus and to treat my dog and I would need to pay 3800. dollars. At the front desk I paid and was shocked to be asked for a donation. But I had to pay before my dog could be treated. I left to get my daughter and on the way back the doctor called and said my dog died. From information I found on the internet t.he medications given in my opinion were questionable to give to a 9 year old dog with heart problems. First and last visit to Blue Pearl they are about making money rather than carrying our pets To (the owner) thanks for proving my point. I wasn't given options, I was given cost for additional medication should it be needed. And thanks very much for representing BLUE PEARL point of view. Before being sorry my lost. BLUE PEARL SHOULD BE THE VERY LAST CHOICE FOR AMINAL HOSPITAL..

Fantastic experience: Our dog was referred to Blue Pearl after his Banfield Vet Hospital exam in Durham due to a couple of unusual skin growth conditions. The staff at Blue Pearl was very professional and caring to both his conditions and our comfort and understanding of same. They provided options on next best steps, estimated costs for treatments and consideration of utilizing Banfield for portion on next steps to save us travel time and treatment savings. Fantastic experience: My 14-year-old dog with bladder cancer needed to go to an emergency vet on Saturday for sudden onset of symptoms for ear infection. Everyone there is great I’ve been there before, They are kind and care about your dog. Cytology done of both ears Showed bilateral ear infections and we left with medication to put in both ears. She has special needs, which is why we went here instead of to an Urgent Vet. I had called first two practices in Pittsboro that were open till noon on Saturday, and they do emergency care, but they could not fit her in. We always have gotten very good care at Blue Pearl in Cary. The veterinary nurse and the veterinarian who we saw on Saturday were both wonderful.

Negative experience: they are good if they see you. but they take forever. if they have a "critical case" you won't be seen. I called before and they told me that there was nothing going on and he would be seen. My dogs arm got bit by our other dog, it was bleeding and our dog was crying and crying. They didn't see him for 1 hr 20 min we waited, finally we decided to leave and go somewhere else and left.

Positive experience: After nearly a year of our dog, Rusty, being on oral chemotherapy, there were times when the oncology team required additional blood work before continuing treatment, even though the medication appeared to be working. Once the bloodwork results were confirmed as acceptable, his chemotherapy was refilled. Toward the end of Rusty’s treatment, I asked the oncologist for guidance on whether it was time to make a difficult decision. Unfortunately, they were unable to offer a recommendation. Rusty’s primary veterinarian did provide helpful insight, which we greatly appreciated. One area where we felt disappointed was the lack of follow-up after Rusty passed. Given the length of his treatment and how involved the team had been, even a brief phone call or message expressing condolences would have meant a great deal to us. By contrast, while traveling in Charleston, SC, we visited an emergency veterinary clinic that followed up multiple times simply to check on Rusty. That level of communication stood out and was meaningful during a very difficult time. Overall, while we are grateful for the care Rusty received, the experience felt more clinical than personal, which was disappointing given how important he was to our family.

Negative experience: Please take 2nd opinion before do any surgery @ Blue Pearl. No coordination between Internal medicine Dr and Oncology doctor, Internal Medicine Dr recommended surgery for cancer patient without consulting Oncologist. Surgeon mistake made simple surgery to exploratory surgery. Our baby passed after going through pain for week and succumbed to Cancer because of delayed treatment.

Negative experience: We had discussed with Medical Director for 1 Hr and suppose to have follow up call, and not got any call after 8-10 weeks. Internal medicine team suggested surgery for Sludge in bile duct, instead of medical maintenance for AML cancer patient who is taking Chemo, against recommendation of Oncologist. Blue pearl team never explained complications of surgery for cancer patient. We are really disappointed with internal medicine doctor recommendation of surgery and error made by surgeon prolonged the surgery. Our boy not recovered from high risky surgery, and because of delaying chemo. Discussed surgery estimated cost , but final bill is 3X .

They were nothing but compassionate and caring in one of the hardest and most difficult times. Dr. Meier was honest and delivered the hard news with a calm and sensitive tone which I greatly appreciated. She was phenomenal in being patient and caring as I ugly cried each time we spoke. I'm glad that she was my first and last point of contact. I just wish internal medicine could have figured out the issue but unfortunately that wasn't possible. I have to say Dr. Moyle (internal medicine) did everything and at times made me feel like he went above and beyond, providing as much education and expertise to help in finding a potential solution to my babies issues. He was nothing but thorough in educating me, he was extremely patient and made me feel seen and heard whenever we spoke.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this vet for ER or regular services. I went in to them around Thanksgiving because my dog's stomach was bleeding from a rash or something. We were treated as if what has happening to my pup did not matter and I felt brushed off. On top of that, they misdiagnosed my dog and treated her for the incorrect thing, which subsequently made it worse and I ended up going to another ER the same day. After following up for a refund, they refused to refund the services based on the care alone and only wanted to see the seconds vet's records. The complaint does not involve the second vet and is around the services rendered at that time. I would not recommend going here for any reason whatsoever.

The first time we ended up having to put our cat down and they were so respectful and caring. The second time we thought our dog had broken or dislocated a joint but luckily it was a minor strain. Fantastic experience: Blue Pearl Vet staff were exactly what we needed today 11/28/2025 when we had to take our dog Leo to be put down after losing his fight with Cushing disease. Being the day after Thanksgiving, our primary vet was still closed and the closest ER vet was also closed. Our vet voicemail referred me to Blue Pearl in Cary, and I was nervous to bring our boy to a strange place for his last vet visit. However, the staff were comforting, handled the delicate situation with dignity & respect, and took great care of Leo. We felt like we had the best situation we could have had with the final moments with our dog. Leo was relaxed and didn’t seem nervous. The staff did a great job, and I know they were inundated with patients today. Thank you for making the final moments we had with Leo special. Fantastic experience: Exceptional Call Ahead service! EVERY team member we saw had a smile on even when they were not active with clients. Our Tibbie is 'in the woods' with a possible brain tumor & the treatment / comfort care options were presented in tiers so we could easily understand the options. Lastly, at checkout, we were VERY pleased at the reasonable fee! We have an annual contract with a local animal hospital, but for 'emergencies' their next appt is usually tomorrow. While those appts are part of our annual plan, we will always come to Blue Pearl the same day, if needed. YODA loves Blue Pearl!

Fantastic experience: Blue Pearl was instrumental in getting my dog back home to me and healthy. We were in a strange predicament that I was unfamiliar with, and their internal medicine team were the experts they needed to be to get him comfortable. They were extremely communicative with me and did daily texts, calls to let me know what was going on. Fantastic experience: Goodness gracious! In general we avoid vet care chains but we are very lucky to have had our fur baby cared for here. One of our cats was in respiratory distress and we ended up seeking care at Blue Pearl. And are we ever lucky we did! All of the individuals at Blue Pearl work together seamlessly as a team, and every single person exceeded our high expectations. We especially appreciate the care and sensitivity they showed us (it was a particularly scary visit bc my oldest and dearest cat just died three weeks ago); every single team member was warm, kind, and genuinely caring. The care our cat received was individually tailored for his needs and sensitive to our (human) predicament. From the moment I called bawling my eyes out to Mackenly (sp?), I knew we were in the right place. Excellent nurses, amazing vet, top notch care. Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked through the front entrance, I was pleasantly surprised. All 3 receptionists were smiling, welcoming, and professional. Positive experience: The people and Doctors were fabulous. The accounting was screwed up. I would say they are priced very high. Bathrooms are filthy but have separate sitting areas for cat and dog owners. Also has a vending area where people can get drinks and snacks.

Negative experience: My 10 month old puppy had eaten acorns, when I learned that acorns are toxic to dogs I was referred to Blue Pearl and going there was awful!! They charged me before even examining my dog, told me that I would have to pay a deposit which turned out to be the full amount $844.50 yet I watched three individuals leave they paid after receiving their services but I being a Black female a 76 year old Black female had to pay up front. They said that he had inflammatory Bowel disease that could cause vomiting or diarrhea. I informed her that we had not vomit but did have diarrhea yet he was prescribed a for nausea and Metamucil which is a laxative. Everything that I was told was generalized nothing specific. And my puppy has not improved at all. WARNING: Don’t go there!! Especially if you are BLACK!!! Plus they refused to give me the paperwork and film of the test they was supposed to have done with the results of the of those test.

Fantastic experience: I use this location when I have off hours emergencies. They have always been good and gotten my pup back in shape. The vets have always been solid, and the facility is well kept. If you have an emergency, I suggest calling ahead in case there is a long line or something.

Fantastic experience: Coming to BluePearl oncology department was the last thing I wanted to do..but here I was, bringing my baby, Ebenezer.. I was nervous, devastated and heartbroken after finding out about Ebenezer's big tumor inside his body, and all I wanted was doctors to be understanding and caring. That's what I got at BluePearl. The front desk understood about my phobia of dogs, so they got us in a patient room right away when we came in. Dr. Miller and Kelsey (with oncology) were so amazing. They helped me understand every little piece of information and Kelsey took such amazing care of Ebenezer while he was there for his xray and cat scan. Kelsey kept me updated throughout the day by texting me what was going on and when the procedures were about to start. Unfortunately surgery did not look promising, so my husband and I are keeping our baby home with us and spoiling him as much as we can. Thank you to everyone at BluePearl for taking care of my baby and loving on these precious animals each and everyday.

Negative experience: My dog, Callie, was referred to BluePearl to investigate a mass on her liver. After diagnostics were done, it was determined that her case was surgical and she would need a liver lobectomy, which would require a 24-48 hour hospital stay in critical care. While the surgeon, Dr. Kapler, was communicative and thorough, all of the other communication from the staff was very poor. For a veterinarian that provides high quality medical care, one could imagine that they would be able to communicate with their patients owners. Callie was hospitalized for 48 hours and any update we received, I had to ask for and was only via text. I was informed that Callie was doing well via text her first morning, but then received another text message later stating that they were having a hard time controlling her pain and they wanted me to authorize another procedure, with no conversation with the doctor. I had to request to discuss what was going on with my dog and come see her to get any real update. After visiting her, I requested an evening update due to her increased pain and concern for her and was told, “well you can try to get an update” to which I texted later and was ignored. For a facility that charges the rates that they do for veterinary care, you would think they could have more staff that could communicate with pet owners. I do not think it is unreasonable to ask for updates on a beloved family member more often than every 24 hours. In addition to the lack of communication, there is also a lack of transparency. When asking questions, I was met with “I don’t know how she did” and truly had no clue what was happening with my dog for her stay. The staff was clearly not reading the chart to determine medical history or other potential diagnosis. I sent in a relatively healthy dog and upon discharge my dog was so weak that she could not walk on her own. I informed the staff multiple times of her arthritis and hip dysplasia to which I was ignored and told that she was obviously in surgical pain. My dog is now traumatized and terrified of any veterinary procedures, even a simple blood draw. While I am thankful to Dr. Kapler for performing a successful surgery and doing everything she could for my dog, but the positive treatment from the other staff remains to be seen. I will likely be labeled as a “helicopter mom” or “difficult to deal with,” but I do not think it is unreasonable to ask for more communication regarding an animal that is in critical care. After my dog was discharged, no one called to check on her for 72 hours and I only received a follow up call once they heard that I saw my primary care vet for a follow up instead of them. It took 10 days to receive a call regarding the outcome of my dogs labs that were completed while under BluePearls care and I had to prompt them to receive critical information regarding the masses they removed from Callie. Overall, it is clear that either the staff there has no empathy or the corporate machine that is BluePearl has burnt out their staff by refusing to provide enough support. I will never allow another one of my dogs to step foot into BluePearl and would rather delay crucial follow up cancer care to be referred to NC state. BluePearl, do better for your pet owners, we love them like they are our family and the stress and anxiety caused by your facility is completely avoidable.

Fantastic experience: BluePearl once again helped my family through end of life with our family dog. We have lived in the triangle for almost 20 years and this is the second time they have supported a pet of ours through their last days. The staff is so caring, professional, and accommodating. Not only did they help to keep our 13 year old puppy comfortable through the discovery of her cancer, they also went above and beyond to make time and space for my scattered family (2 are college age) to get home and to get to spend alone time with her before we had to let go. Fantastic experience: My ESA (emotional support animal), a kitty, was admitted to Blue Pearl Cary a little over a week ago. She had an acute liver infection and stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. She had stopped eating and drinking, so I had taken her to an urgent vet before they sent us over to Blue Pearl, and they told us her liver values and bilirubin were really high and she was jaundiced. Well, I had no idea that this could happen and it was so random, so I was very scared, but Blue Pearl Cary could not have been a better choice for us. Everyone was incredibly polite, informative, kind and professional, from the front desk staff to the nurses to the vets. Blue Pearl texted and called me multiple times a day with updates on her condition and let us come in to visit for an hour while she was there. The hospital staff were so kind about my anxiety and were with me every step of the way. I believe that they saved my cat's life and I will be forever grateful to them for the kind and professional care they gave to both of us. They made my cat feel comfortable with her own private area since she was anxious when she got there. The only downside was that this hospital is very, very expensive, it cost 9k for her hospital stay. I did absolutely feel that it was worth the cost for the excellent and life-saving round the clock care she received, and they did also check with me before doing biopsies and a bile culture to make sure I was ok with that. All in all, I'm extremely pleased and so thankful that my sweet girl is feeling better and back to her regular self.

Negative experience: On September 15th, 2025, we took our 16 year-old Maltese to Blue Pearl. He was transferred from CVCA, accross the street, referred by his cardiologist because he was regurgitating and wasn't drinking water. When we arrived to Blue Pearl Hospital, one of the receptionist told us that they didn't received a referral and if he needed to be seen for his leg?. I'm pretty sure the referral was sent by the cardiologist. Furthermore, my husband asked for a cup to give water to our pet, and she denied the cup alleging that if he was regurgitating the dog was going to throw up. I left the hospital and took him to an urgent care near by.

It took 5 hours for review, Xray, and bloodwork. Our bill was over $1100 to let us know we needed to take our dog to another vet for ultrasound. Ultimately we had to visit another Emergency vet for ultrasound and were charged a third for the walk in AND the ultrasound. While they were compassionate, the wait was excessive and and cost felt predatory. Maybe our experience and situation isn’t like others, but for an event that ended tragically, they started it in a bad way for us.

Fantastic experience: I must admit, the cost was more than expected, but my boys are worth it. Admitted my boy through the Emergency Department per referral of my veterinarian. I have to give a big thumbs up to the ED and internal medicine staff. All communications between us was top notch. I specially love the ability to communicate via text. We don't have to keep playing phone tag. The doctors and nurses kept me updated continually during Troubles stay. This was very nice since I am located 1.5 hours away. Fantastic experience: Thank you for taking great care of my baby in his final days. Fantastic experience: I read a lot of varying experiences on here but overall I think this place is really great. They gave my dog a great deal of love and care, had great communication, and were quick to answer my questions. Ultimately my sweet angel didn’t make it, and BluePearl made me feel safe and cared for during the euthanasia process- their kindness and compassion are unmatched. Hopefully I’ll never have to bring my future animals to the hospital, but if I do I’d choose BluePearl every time. To the people who work there- I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: My pitbull collapsed due to shock from internal bleeding. From the moment I arrived with her in my arms the staff reacted quickly and professionally.She stayed 5 days and had surgery and every nurse, doctor and front desk person was concerned, adept and there for me and her.

Fantastic experience: My dog was really sick, the care he received was extraordinary. The staff was in constant communication with me advising me and giving me choices. Fantastic experience: I was very fortunate blue pearl were able to accommodate and see my dog late on Thursday night, we didn’t have to wait long. The vet office was super clean and that says a lot. Billing charges where upfront and they were no surprises. Taking our furry once to an emergency vet is no fun at all and cost are relatively super high. I believe my Chiweenie got the best care possible and the best course of actions were taken during our late night visit. The staff were super helpful and the vet was clear about what’s going on and what needs to be done. Thank you all for all you do late nights keeping our companion furry once healthy.

Negative experience: The positive: the staff were just lovely. Very kind, friendly, and pleasant. The negative: I brought my dog in with an extremely painful front limb but had no idea what happened as I found her at home like this after work. Doggo has access to the outdoors and indoors. They sedated and x-rayed but no fracture. They claimed it was a severe soft tissue injury but in fact it was none of the above. Took her to my own vet the next day and turns out it was a copperhead bite. Kind of a big and expensive miss on the part of Blue Pearl. Additionally, they pumped her full of carprofen which is contraindicated for a snake bite. My own vet the next day was deeply concerned about her clotting numbers. Wouldn’t come back here given the extraordinary cost, misdiagnosis, and subsequent dangerous treatment.

Negative experience: My dog contracted three life threatening bacteria after having a surgery here with internal medicine. The infection occurred within hours of discharge from the hospital which to me implies negligence and unsanitary practices in the OR. I had to spend yet more money to save his life at Blue Pearl Raleigh, which is far superior to the Cary location in terms of attention to detail and care for patients. Nobody at the Cary location gives a damn and followed up to address my concerns, and over a week later still nothing. They should be sued. Dont risk your animals life with Dulaneys team. Take them anywhere else! Edit: taking two weeks to “respond” regarding a severe infection that was acquired at your hospital is NOT taking the matter very seriously. You only “responded” here because the review is public. Corporate Gaslighting and deception do not work on proactive pet parents. Your office was made aware in writing of the post surgery infection within 36 hrs of my pet’s discharge, and you did absolutely nothing about it. Too little, too late.

Fantastic experience: They have been wonderful with my dog with nasal cancer. They put her on chemotherapy which made a huge difference but there were side effects that Blue Pearl quickly addressed over the phone without a doctor’s appointment. Fantastic experience: After a week of refusing to eat and then receiving care at our primary vet, we were recommended to BluePearl as our 1.5 year old hound mix (Lucy) was not showing signs of improvement. It was terrifying to see our pup in such bad condition, but the intake doctor did a wonderful job of explaining the steps they would take to figure out what was wrong. A plan was laid out on what they would test and how they would care for Lucy and an initial cost of care was provided. We received updates about her care and test results and the staff was always friendly when I called for additional updates to help ease my mind that our pup was doing okay. We had a full care plan in place when she was discharged, and it makes me so happy to see our girl up and running around like a pup should! Fantastic experience: Thank you to the amazing staff at BluePearl. I brought my dog Morty in and made the toughest decision of my life to proceed with emergency surgery to remove a mass along with his spleen. We felt confident he was in good hands and received regular updates on his condition. His assigned nurse loved corgi’s and I could tell the love that went into his recovery the following day from her. Thanks to these efforts he was able to spend this past summer with us happy and “normal” despite his terminal diagnosis. Not everyone gets that additional time to say goodbye and it was truly a blessing. He went peacefully, happy and playing last week with no pain from the comfort of our home together with a mobile vet. Thank you all for everything that you do.

Fantastic experience: Blue Pearl was excellent with our puppy. Her mother had issues with anesthesia and we needed specialists to be prepared during her spay and nares surgery. Dr. Manashirova was amazing with walking us through what would happen and also calling us to update us after the procedures. The anesthesiologist had to adjust the protocol on the spot bc our puppy’s blood pressure drops as we feared. We are thankful that they were prepared and knowledgeable. The staff were also really great, texting updates and also taking our call during the evening to check in. The cost was higher than other vets but the price was transparent before we agreed and we were paying to ensure she had the right team. Very pleased with this team!

Fantastic experience: Despite the long wait, the doctor and other staff members were absolutely amazing, and so kind and loving to my kitty. Once the doctor was able to see her, there was a very short wait for testing, and was performed with care. The facility is very clean, and pet friendly. Even the front desk staff were very kind and willing to answer the payment questions. For this of you with pet insurance (highly recommend, btw), they do partner with Trupanion.

Fantastic experience: It's usually unfortunate circumstances when you need to see a surgical specialist, but the staff and doctors at BluePearl in Cary were wonderful. Dr. Manashirova examined Odie and his health records and spent a great deal of time with us discussing options and prognoses for each option. We were not surprised that the news wasn't good, but she was so compassionate. She gave us valuable information to assist us in deciding what needed to be done for our fur baby. Negative experience: I went to this vet hospital on June 30th,2025 in regards to my dog limping in his front left leg, hassling and in pain/whinning. It took 5 1/2 hours and they diagnosed my dog with basically having a pinch nerve and prescribed one medication. I later left that day and my dog was acting erratic and was in so much pain. I called back and asked why the discharge paper said they only xrayed his back legs/pelvic area. The lady said she wasn’t sure but if I felt he needed a front X-ray to bring him back in…(I live almost 2 hours away) and I paid for them to do the front which was over $900 for them to not do what I asked. That is the whole reason I brought him in. So that night I just gave him more medicine and prayed everything would just be okay and that they knew what they were doing. A few days later, July 8th, 2025 I seen my dog was still not getting any better, I called my local vet to ask them to X-ray his front leg (which meant spending more money on something that should have already been discovered) and send it to a specialist because I knew something was wrong, the specialist that they chose to send it to in fact was Blue Pearl Of Cary, the next day I receive a phone saying that my dog has ostecarcinoma which is affecting his front left leg, lungs and chest. A whole extra week my dog was in pain and here I was hoping the medicine would help his pinch nerve, Two days later I had to put my dog down… I am very disappointed in the vet and I would not recommended.

Positive experience: While we received some pretty devastating news about our pup, the employees were fantastic. The vet we saw, was very knowledgeable, however, talking to owners like they are vets doesn't really help them to understand the process and next potential steps in a treatment plan. Please, dumb it down for us pet owners, who are not only trying to absorb the enormity of what they are being told, but also trying to make the best informed decisions based on our pets needs.
