Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Creature Comfort Animal Clinic and the incredible Dr. Justin Tran. I have been bringing my pets here for years, and even though I moved from Fort Worth to New Braunfels, I still drive all the way back to Arlington because there is no one else I trust more with my babies. Dr. Tran has spayed and neutered three of my kitties, and most recently, he performed mouth surgery on my cat, Tofu. Tofu was very sick, but thanks to Dr. Tran’s expertise and care, he is doing so much better now! Beyond the medical care, their boarding is top-notch. Tofu stayed with them over the weekend, and they took such great care of him. It’s a long drive, but for the peace of mind Dr. Tran gives me, it is 100% worth it. I’ll be a client for life!

Fantastic experience: Admittedly I had put off going to the vets because I was too afraid to know what was wrong with my dog's abdomen. Within 15 minutes of meeting her Dr Erin not only had she solve the mystery but it was no big deal, I had been so anxious for nothing! So if you have put off going to the vet please take it from me - the only thing more scary than an ill pet is when you don't know. They were very transparent with costs and provided options. They were incredibly loving and attentive to my pop, who ate it all up! Thank you so much to the whole team for making us feel so welcome and providing excellent diagnostic and life-changing advice and options for my best boy!

Negative experience: On Friday morning, I submitted a fecal sample for my bearded dragon to Creature Comfort for parasite testing. The receptionist informed me that no one was available to conduct the test at that time, but assured me that someone would be able to and would contact me with the results. After processing my payment, she instructed me to call by 4:30 p.m. if I had not received any updates. I attempted to contact them at 4:00 p.m. for an update, but they were unable to provide me with any information as Dr. Tran had already left for the day. On Saturday, I received the test results via email, which indicated that labs should be sent out to determine underlying issues. Dr. Tran was scheduled to contact me upon his return to the office. I attempted to contact Dr. Tran around 9:30 a.m. on Monday to inquire about the status of the test results, but was informed that he was occupied with other patients. The receptionist mentioned that another veterinarian had called in with an emergency, but left a note for Dr. Tran to contact her as soon as he became available. I expressed concern about the delay and offered to seek treatment elsewhere, but the receptionist assured me that I would receive a call from Dr. Tran before the end of the day. I subsequently sent an email after lunch requesting another update, only to be given false assurances that I would be contacted. As of Monday, after the office had closed, I never received a call as promised. While I understand the challenges of staffing shortages, failing to contact me and provide test results of a reptile as promised is unacceptable. Had I been informed that they were unable to test for a serious infection on Friday, I would have opted to seek treatment elsewhere to determine if my bearded dragon requires medical attention. I trusted Creature Comfort to care for my reptile, and they failed me. The cost is not a concern, and I would have gladly paid triple for the test results to obtain answers. I regret using their services, but this is one mistake that I will never make again.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Tran and the staff there took amazing care of my dog! He had to have a TPLO. He is doing great and already walking on his leg. Fantastic experience: Dr. Erin McGrath is an incredibly kind, caring, and compassionate veterinarian. She always takes quality time with us during our visits, and I never feel rushed. She truly listens and makes sure she understands everything I’m saying, which means so much as a pet parent. We genuinely feel that she cares about both us and our pets. When Dr. McGrath says she’s going to do something—whether it’s a follow-up phone call or a reminder—she always follows through. She consistently brings her A-game, and that level of dedication is exactly why we continue coming to this clinic. We are so grateful to have Dr. McGrath caring for our pets.

Negative experience: The ladies at the front desk were nice and everyone was nice to my face. While I was waiting a client was told their medication would be $2,200 and he declined. When I was waiting in the exam room I overheard the workers talking badly about him declining. This sat horribly with me because that’s not a small amount of money by any means and needing time to think isn’t something that should be shamed. I took my dog here at 6 months she was 50lbs at the time and today at over 2 years old she weighed 80lbs instead of saying oh let’s work on getting her on a diet I heard the workers talking to each other about how “she’s gained a ton of weight” then came into the exam room all nice and friendly . I also paid $70 for a consultation with the vet all I got was 2-3 mins with the vet. I mentioned my concerns which happen to be one of the most expensive surgeries for dogs and I think after that all they saw was a chance to make money. X-rays and sedation was $700 I got the same sedation and X-rays done in Grand Prairie for $300 take of that what you will. I wouldn’t describe this as a good vet they get the basics done but you’ll get talked about and they’ll take you for as much money as possible.

Fantastic experience: I had a squirrel with overgrown Front Teeth and they took care of it in 45 minutes for relatively cheap and handled my exotic pet well. I'd recommend anybody who has exotic pet to come here. I'm also going to convert over here and bring my dogs and cats too. Everybody's wonderful in the staff and the doctors wonderful

Negative experience: Don’t ever bring your animals here!! They failed to tell me about the side effects of steroids that can affect a small % of dogs. My bully I have had for 3 years with no problems and after being on steroids for a few weeks complete 180. More aggressive and unpredictable, she went through my fence twice to go after neighbors and their pets. I told the vet that on November 19th, I got told it was her hormones, comfortability, resource guard, and learned behavior. But when you counter arguments on why it’s not the 4 things above and it was the steroids. They don’t believe it so we do more test UTI ect when the test results back negative and the Vet calls November 20th saying the test back came back negative. Then you ask well why did her personality change and they still don’t have an answer. But will drop you has a patient due to “different ways of taking care of a dog” and make you find a new vet with an unpredictable aggressive dog. They created. And instead of admitting, yeah maybe the steroids did do something. They’ll kick you out and wash their hands. After 30+ years of business

Fantastic experience: Dr Tran saved the life of my bearded dragon Bella. I highly recommend them they are very nice, professional, and actually care about their patients like we do.

Negative experience: If you want an expensive vet, this is the place. Astronomical prices for "in house" lab work. Amazingly, most visits require lab work. Don't fall for their annual subscription care plan.

Fantastic experience: I have nothing but amazing things to say from time we walked in until time we walked out. This visit was hands down best we have ever had for my macaw KiKo. KiKogets loud, nervous & obnoxious, however, he got down on table and was happy. Dayra got him on the bird scale with ease (she was amazing & patient). Justin walked in & KiKo went right to him (no biting, no squawking)! Justin showed us issues with his eye, showed me how to turn him on his back & how to apply his eye drops & how to hold his neck & eye to avoid getting Kiko upset. Now KiKo comes up & lays calmly on his back & lets me apply his eye drops. Its like night and day with this bird. I am so impressed! Thanks again Dayra & Justin, great service is hard to find, you set my mind & heart to ease!!!

Negative experience: I took my Yorkie for a grooming on Friday 11.14.1025 and he came back to me limping and in alot of pain and now cannot put his back left leg down, or jump onto the sofa. I need to see the video recording of everyone who handled my dog that day.

Fantastic experience: Dr. McGrath and her team are so wonderful and you can tell they genuinely care for our pets. We recently moved and started using this clinic after a referral from a good friend. Our dog has never liked going to the vet, but he's been so calm and seems to feel really comfortable here (the treats help!). The clinic is clean, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful, and they are easy to schedule with. Couldn't imagine trusting our pets with anyone else at this point!

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent facility with the most caring staff I've ever seen. My kitty passed away on my birthday, and they even contract with Peaceful Pets to provide a private cremation service for my girl. They've been there for me twice when I've lost fur babies, and all of them are going to be cared for by the vets here.

My babies always have a good time when we take them and when we’ve boarded them. The vets and the techs are top notch. The front desk staff are friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about this vet clinic and the incredible care they gave to our sweet dog. We came in expecting the worst…our dog has a lung mass, and we were heartbroken, thinking we were nearing the end. We were preparing to pay for X-rays to see how far it had progressed, but the vet was so compassionate and honest. She gently explained that imaging wouldn't change the outcome or treatment, and instead encouraged us to save our money and focus on comfort and quality of life. She prescribed medication to help with our dog’s symptoms, and the change has been absolutely incredible. It’s truly been like night and day!! Our pup is brighter, breathing easier, and so much more herself again. We feel like we’ve been given a precious gift - more time with her, and more good days we didn’t think we’d get. This clinic isn’t just about veterinary medicine. They lead with heart, kindness, and integrity. I’m deeply grateful for the care, honesty, and empathy they showed us. Fantastic experience: The vet and staff were extremely helpful and patient even though we had a complicated situation. We are taking care of my nephew and his dog, who live in Houston, while my sister-in-law had to do some traveling for work. The pup had a pretty bad prolapsed urethra and needed surgery sooner than later. They were thorough with his examination and were able to squeeze him in for surgery a day later. My sister-in-law was especially relieved and glad the vet took the time to talk with her over the phone to explain everything, even after their clinic had already closed.

Negative experience: I waited to write this review, hoping someone would reach out to me...crickets. I took my hedgehog here back January, she was having terrible GI issues, we had a off site fecal test done, she was put on antibiotics, and 2 weeks later she was not better. I called to talk to the only vet who will see hedgies because she had passed a blood clot the night before and of course he's not there. Seems like my misfortune that every time I had called, he was not there. I left my message with whoever answered the phone on a Thursday and I expected a call the next day...Friday comes and goes and nothing. Saturday afternoon 2/8/25 (hedgies are nocturnal so I let her rest during the day) I go check her in her cage and I find her laying next to a puddle of blood not under her blankets and heat lamp and I panic, she's in distress. I call Creature Comfort again and explained what was going on, I was told to take her the Veterinary Emergency Group on 161 in Grand Prairie and they would call ahead and send her file over. I rush over immediately, I am so lucky to live less than 10 minutes away from the hospital and they immediately started her emergency care as soon as they opened the door. It was extremely traumatic, but the care and compassion the Vet team showed us and my hedgie was absolutely appreciated and needed at that moment. Well, she didn't make it, we got a private room to say our goodbyes and we received her ashes on Valentines Day. And here we are 2/18/25 and still, no word from this clinic, no follow up from my very first call when the blood clot was found, no empathy...extremely disappointed with this facility and I will no longer recommend them to anyone I know.

Fantastic experience: We are at 11 years with Creature Comfort & I wouldn't want to go anyplace else but here. They are family & treat our fur babies as such. I have been going here for the last 9 years with my dog and my mom the last 10 with hers. We can’t say enough good things about Creature Comfort. They’re personable, they care, they are super sweet, honest, and the doctors are wonderful. Groomers are excellent and the staff everywhere are so kind and caring. I would not consider another lace for my fur baby. When she is in the care of Creature Comfort, I know she is being taken care of, loved, and it makes me comfortable rather than anxious. Thanks to the entire staff at Creature Comfort for the GREAT job you all do!

Negative experience: Vet was rude. I did not have our pet vet records with me and vet rudely said DURING exam, rather than before.” We will have to euthanize her if she bites”. I asked more questions and was given short and abrupt responses with an unpathetic tone. Will not be taking my pets here again

Fantastic experience: Dr Liz took such good care of my precious cat fur baby! She had oral surgery and several teeth removed! My cat finally feels better! Her recovery has been smooth too! I really like the clinic! Everyone is so nice and kind!

Fantastic experience: I like this place. They’re great with my cats and doors. A little pricey for someone on a fixed income, but the vets are excellent. They definitely need a senior discount fee structure. Clean and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Tran is awesome. Absolutely brilliant. We took our ball python who had not eaten for over a year. Dr. Tran examined him thoroughly and said he was actually very healthy and behaving normally. He answered all of our questions and gave us some very good tips on how to effectively feed our snake. We tried his recommendations and immediately our snake started eating and now is on a regular feeding schedule. We were also happy with the price tag of this visit. Thanks Dr. Tran!

Fantastic experience: We needed to board our dogs for the first time ever. Creature Comfort was my first choice. They are great at grooming my Schnauzer so I knew I could trust them with my Husky too. They housed them for 5 days. I picked up my groomed and happy boys who seemed pleased with their stay there. Fantastic experience: Creature Comfort is the very best veterinary clinic. I have been going to them for 35 years, since Dr. Brier and Dr. Jenkins time. All the vets and staff there are kind, considerate, compassionate and genuinely concerned for my pets. Special kudos to Dr. Liz Gebhardt. She is absolutely wonderful and is currently seeing me through a tough time with my cat. I would never consider going anywhere else. As I said, simply the best.

Negative experience: Saw all the great reviews so decided to give this place a chance. The front staff is very unprofessional and unorganized. Though I was there first and waiting, they helped a couple that came in after me (literally saw them entering the parking lot as I walked in). As soon as I sat down, one of the front staff members pushed a wellness plan for my dog. They charge an $11 fee if you want to use any other pharmacy which is completely sketchy and crappy (do you have to pay an $11 fee if you go to a MD office and ask to send your rx to another pharmacy? Same concept. Looking at a chart, determining if the rx is appropriate and faxing/writing a rx. Especially if it’s just a boxed med like Nexgard). It’s funny though, it looks like all the responses from the clinic are AI generated. TL;DR not coming here again. Would not recommend. Sketchy and slightly unethical

The girls up front are cheerful and compassionate, and the different vets I've seen over the years have always been kind and professional. Dr. Juan Medina has especially impressed me. If the answer isn't immediately clear, he will take time to research or defer to his colleagues to find the best course of treatment. This 'mom' will be forever grateful for the love and dedication he shows in his craft.

Negative experience: During my last visit, I encountered an instance of unprofessional conduct at the reception desk by one of the staff members. Their behavior was accusatory and condescending, which was unacceptable and created an uncomfortable environment. Regrettably, the staff member did not offer a direct apology, and I felt that the manager present did not adequately address the situation or provide assurance that such behavior would not be tolerated in the future. Aside from this isolated incident, my experiences have generally been positive.

Fantastic experience: They are wonderful with my ferrets. The Drs always take their time to figure out the problems and finding a solution to help my girls. The Doctors are very engaged and listen to my concerns. I know my ferrrts are in good hands here.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit. My dog had a tumer that required surgery. He is a rescue dog that doesn't play well with others and hates going to the vet. Everyone was great with my boy and accommodated all our special needs.
