Many reviews highlight the expertise of the veterinarians, such as Dr. Franklin and Dr. Williams, who provide thorough examinations and clear explanations of diagnoses and treatment options. The support staff is also noted for their kindness and efficiency, helping to create a comfortable environment for both pets and their owners.
Some of the notable positive aspects include:
- Compassionate care: Staff members demonstrate love and concern for the animals, making visits less stressful.
- Attention to detail: The veterinarians take the time to perform thorough examinations and communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Flexible scheduling: They offer convenient appointment times, including evenings and weekends.
- Affordability: Many clients find their pricing reasonable compared to other vets in the area.
- Military discounts: They offer a discount for Veterans and military personnel.
However, there have been some concerns raised by clients, especially regarding communication and wait times. Some reviews mention frustrating experiences with scheduling and billing discrepancies, along with dissatisfaction with follow-up communications. Despite these occasional issues, Gully Animal Hospital continues to be a trusted choice for many pet owners in the community.

Gully Animal Hospital: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The Vet Tech spent a lot of time examining ourr elderly collie. She was knowledgeable and explicit what vaccines she needed prior to grooming. The Vet also spent time to do a wellness exam. We'll continue to take her there.
Fantastic experience: Helped my sick puppy. In and out in just over an hour on a Saturday.
Fantastic experience: The best! Very compassionate.
Negative experience: I don't see how in the Hell Gully animal hospital on.S Cooper got a 4 8.or 4.6.Star and treating your dog with some of the same stuff for Hook worm that never went away from the first time of June last year. I have been here, 3 times and you would think the first time instead of giving my.Dog.antibiotics and prednisone I would have gotten the Dontral paid for.exray that didn't show jack they could read along with farther testing at South Arlington animal Clinic at least I finally got her heart Tested for worms as Gully should have done when I almost paid.500 dollars and 281 and my Dog per South Arlington was Negative for any heart worms that yall insisted was a factor. And gave her stuff I felt as another over Charge the Vets.I have been to has been inexperienced at there job and saying a Hold butch of Nothing when it comes to you asking Questions. Please go back to school we need answers not a bunch of guessing even with Blood work I.am took out Done
Thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating ongoing symptoms can be. Your pet was seen three times within one year for coughing, which initially improved with treatment but later returned. Fecal testing performed at the last two visits, approximately five months apart, showed hookworms. Fecal tests can occasionally be falsely negative depending on the sample, which is why repeat testing is sometimes necessary. Based on the symptoms present at each visit, diagnostics and treatments were recommended using standard veterinary guidelines. We regret that your experience did not meet expectations and wish you and your pet the best moving forward.

Negative experience: I'm not impressed charge way too much for wound maintenence when they could easily show how to do it at home and are extremely quick to recommend lethal injection on older pets. Waste of money.

Fantastic experience: Get place to take your pet. For check ups to emergency. The staff is loving and kind as if they were their own pets!
Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and my dog is happy when she leaves. The prices are reasonable.
Fantastic experience: Went there for a checkup on my dog and they were very kind, honest, and genuinely showed care and compassion for the treatment of my dog. I had a great experience here and would definitely visit if I require the services of a vet again. The treatment cost was a bit more than I expected but after seeing the friendly tech and Vet get down on the floor and actually take the time to check not only what she was affected with but also check to make sure everything else was ok, I would say it was worth the cost.
Fantastic experience: Last night we brought our male cat Leo in to see Dr. Franklin- Leo had been throwing up for two days- abdominal x rays revealed a fecal impaction- Dr. Franklin gave him an enema while providing Leo gas/anesthesia so he would be more comfortable-he also received an injection for nausea- Dr. Franklin also cleaned his ears and trimmed his nails. Dr Franklin and staff provided this care at 7:30 pm and demonstrated compassion and professionalism, We did not feel rushed at all, just well taken care of- We will definitely be going back -
Negative experience: An HOUR behind schedule..AGAIN. Snippy annoying tech, last time didn’t like the vet dude bro. Like, if I walked in at 6:00 for my 5 PM I’d not been seen-but they can do the same. Find another vet if your time means anything. (Front office staff are friendly) Edit: Walked out. Hungry. Behind schedule. With travel lost 2 hours of my day. Gully on outta here…
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the delay during your visit and any inconvenience this caused.
If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our management team at 817-468-2333.
Negative experience: Discuss things with you and fail to follow through. Told me they would contact the previous place my dog had labs done and get back with me to discuss medication regiment.. Never heard back from them and they never even requested the labs from the other office. It's not the same place it was when Dr. Gully was there. Don't recommend!!

Fantastic experience: Took our two male cats for their first visit. Dr. Franklin & Maiya were both very kind & professional. Dr.Franklin is a straight shooter and will tell you like it is, which i appreciate so much! They were both very knowledgeable and super sweet to our boys. We will definitely be keeping them as our vet for our boys. Highly recommend!!
Fantastic experience: I love everything about these people, this animal hospital. Everyone is so kind and pleasant. I refer people to this Vet. Plus they give Veteran's/Military discount of 10%. 5*, all Vet Dr's and staff are Great! Update, either this is a super busy time if year or perhaps a Vet left, not sure but it's more time consuming to acquire an appointment. But, I still love them, still give 5☆
Fantastic experience: All of the doctors and staff are caring and wonderful. Dr. Franklin is always extremely thorough and thoughtful.
Fantastic experience: We've been bringing our pets here for over 30 years. They are very kind, understanding, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.
Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend this vet enough!!! They’ve cared for all of our fur babies over the past 20 years… Through good times and bad. It’s obvious to me that everyone here loves what they do and they all have a deep love for animals. We just had to put our last dog, Nacho to rest. He was old (almost 16!) and was going through heart failure and kidney failure. Dr Williams provided an amazing level of care… Not just for our beloved Nacho… But for us as well… Giving us guidance and advice and support in helping us make the right decisions and provide the best care possible in Nacho’s final days. Dr Williams is so caring… Her gentleness and compassion... Professionalism and respectfulness will never be forgotten. She helped us locate an in-home vet to come to the house and put our old man to rest… So he was able to have his final moments right here in the peace and safety and comfort of his own home… Surrounded by loved ones. He passed peacefully in our arms. It was sad and beautiful all at the same time. I am so thankful to all of the folks at Dr Gully’s for pouring their love into our fur babies. And big shouts out to Dr Franklin and Dr Gully as well for the care they provided for all of our dogs over the years. And Amber and the other techs and everyone at the front desk. They always treated us and our pups like family. When you call or go in and tell them your name… and they immediately know who your dog is… and they tell you how much they love them… that just means the world!! Wonderful people… Wonderful place!!! ❤️
Fantastic experience: Dr . Franklin and Dr. Samson are very smart and nice people 10/10 would recommend as my pets Doctors. One of my dogs is weird around men however Franklin bribed him with treats now they are best friends.
Fantastic experience: We love Gully Animal Hospital. We first started going when another vet told us we were probably at the stage of putting our old girl down. We went to Gully and they gave her an extra 3 years with us.
Fantastic experience: I will be a loyal client as long as I have my dog. They are ethical in their pricing and have always been pleasant when I take my dog for care. It is obvious everyone at Gully enjoys what they do and enjoy people too. My boy is getting up there in age and knowing he has a great vet team makes this transition a little easier. I've been a client going on 5 years.
Fantastic experience: Great service. We really appreciate the care we get for the dogs here. I also feel like the staff explains the summary of service well.
Fantastic experience: The vet techs and vet take great care of the animals. My dog was their best friend before she left. They treat your dog the same as if they were their own. I appreciate the care they take with their patients. Will be back to see them for sure!
Fantastic experience: My Assistance Dog passed away. I was able to get an appointment immediately for the new Assistance Dog. She is in training and they understood exactly how keeping her calm wasr because she was someone's pet before I had to find a dog right away for assisting me. Dr. Barnes couldn't have been more helpful. She relieved my mind.
Negative experience: We were given an estimate about a year ago for our pet’s dental cleaning. At the time, we weren’t ready to move forward, but a year later, we were finally able to schedule the service. When my wife booked the appointment over the phone, there was no mention of the significant price increases that had occurred since the original estimate or our last visit. I brought our pet in, having arranged my work schedule and taken the time to prep everything for the procedure—only to be told at drop-off that the prices had gone up dramatically. I wasn’t entirely sure what had been discussed on the phone when my wife scheduled the visit, but by that point, with everything in motion, I felt backed into a corner. Unfortunately, this miscommunication led to a stressful situation at home and a complete loss of trust in both the clinic and Mr. Gulley. We understand that prices can change over time, but when the increase is this substantial, it really should be communicated clearly.
Fantastic experience: Boarded my aussie for a couple of days, which is always really hard for pet parents, but I was relieved that she seemed to do well during her stay, even despite her being a bit anxious. Thank you, Gully!
Negative experience: Gully animal hospital uses predatory pricing schemes. I was quoted one price but charge another, when I called them on it they admitted there mistake and told me they would remove it from my account. Fast forward 2 years I take my lil dog in there with a potentially deadly infection and they refuse to see her unless I pay the remaining balance from before. I explained everything to the office manager and she said she would rather loose me as a customer than honor their word.
Fantastic experience: We had the dreadful pain of taking our dog here because she was at the end of her life and the doctors and staff were very nice and understanding. We received a paw print in ceramic with her name and a lock of her hair. Then about 3 days later we received her ashes in a really nice urn. I recommend if you have to put your fur baby down to take them to this hospital. They have several option ranging from 150 to 500 dollars depending on what you feel is best for your family.
Positive experience: Great friendly staff and facility. However.. Prices do not reflect that value I would intend to find at a veterinarians office. Here’s what happened: intake paperwork, 2 shots later [anti-inflammatory and antibiotic] both of these can be picked up for approximately 10$ in pill form on Amazon/Petsmart, etc. The necessity of seeing the vet and using a shot-form, was to aid in a faster response than waiting on Amazon delivery. Most animals ailments are easy enough to understand with a little research. The visit + 2 shots, was $$$190$$$. I declined the other ‘treatments’ pitched, as I honestly felt like it was more fear-mongering-testing and didn’t include any actual treatment, which came out to 449.96 (photo attached). Respectfully, this pricing may be the businesses standard practices [and if it chooses to do so, is its prerogative], however it was not reasonable or within budget compared to other vets and actually performing OTC treatment ourselves. It would appear that the business is over pricing certain items based on local practices.
Fantastic experience: I've been very impressed with Gully. Nice staff, clean facility, scheduling appears to be easy, hours are accommodating. I was a bit skeptical about having my dogs TTA surgery here with Dr. Franklin after reading previous reviews. Dr. Franklin was great and is super passionate about what he does. He is straight forward and does not sugar coat things. He definitely has the patient's best interest in mind.
Fantastic experience: They have always taken great care of my baby!
Positive experience: Took our pets to Gully Hospital. Staff seems generally concerned for our pets. Very professional and caring, place is always clean. I recommend taking your pets for their check ups!!! Great place!
Negative experience: Couldn't believe how horrible this place treated us till i read more of these reviews. Bill did not match the quote/waited 2 hours with a set appointment/ office "manager" was the most rude/ would not help unless i pay in full / "your dog is not my issue unless you've paid"! , Then ..after getting a new vet i found they sold us wrong medicine and completely overcharged.
Negative experience: I wouldn't say I like writing reviews. Still, in this case, the people who use Gully Animal Hospital in Arlington, Texas, have the right to know how badly we have been treated and the staff's incompetence at the Arlington Veterinarian Clinic. Dr. Franklin is an excellent Veterinarian, but the office needs more compassion, Integrity, and the ability to communicate. We have been going to Gullys for twelve years, spending thousands of dollars with them. We lost our dog a couple of weeks ago. I was out of town, and my wife was alone. She called Gully in a panic to try and get her in. The receptionist was rude and lacked compassion and caring. Our dog was sent to heaven that night. I won't go over everything she said, but what a disgrace. And no one took responsibility for the actions they just deflected. They do not care! We then had our puppy spade again. Dr. Franklin was great, but the office staff needs to be more efficient and aware. As of 9-22-2024, they recently sent us home with the wrong prescription for our puppy. It had another client's name, and the dog's name was different. The breed was Labador, and we have a German Shepherd. As dog parents, we must be aware of and watch for things like this, but as a veterinarian clinic, the blame for malpractice falls on them.
Fantastic experience: We've been going to Gully animal hospital for a couple of years after we inherited my mother's dog. Dr. Williams has been a family veterinarian for years and we are so impressed with her. I would highly recommend going to Gully and seeing Dr. Williams.
Negative experience: Took my fur baby Pug to be boarded here. He was here for about 2-3 days. When we picked him up he stunk SO bad plus he now has a right eye infection!! DO NOT take your babies here!! It’s obvious they don’t care for them!! And….tried to charge me $9.50 PER DAY to give him one small chewable vitamin while he was there!! These people are obviously about making a buck while their quality of service SUCKS!! Never again will my dog go here!
Fantastic experience: We had to put our loyal, steadfast family member, Pilot, down and Dr. Brad Franklin made this very sad time less difficult. We were so grateful to him for his empathy and compassion. Truly such a caring doctor. All of the staff from the ladies at the front to the assistants and the vets are attentive and caring.
Fantastic experience: The local animal clinic provides a welcoming and professional environment for pet owners seeking top-notch care for their furry companions. Upon entering, you are greeted by a friendly receptionist who quickly checks you in and makes both you and your pet feel at ease. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for pets to sit calmly while waiting for their appointment. Complimentary water and pet treats add a thoughtful touch to the experience. The veterinarians at this clinic are highly knowledgeable and take the time to thoroughly examine your pet, addressing any concerns you may have. They are compassionate and patient, ensuring that your pet feels comfortable throughout the visit. Whether it’s a routine check-up, vaccinations, or more serious health issues, the vets provide clear explanations of diagnoses and treatment options, making sure you fully understand your pet’s needs. The clinic is also well-equipped with modern diagnostic tools and facilities, allowing for a wide range of services, from dental care to surgery. The support staff, including veterinary technicians, are equally skilled and caring, assisting the vets with efficiency and kindness. One of the clinic’s standout features is its emphasis on preventative care, offering regular wellness programs to keep pets healthy and catch potential issues early. Additionally, they provide useful advice on diet, exercise, and general care, helping pet owners maintain their pets’ well-being. Overall, the animal clinic offers exceptional care with a focus on both the physical and emotional well-being of pets, making it a trusted resource for pet owners in the community.
Fantastic experience: Staff is wonderful. They ALWAYS answer the phones even when they are slammed and will always go out of their way and even out of their own pockets to care for your pets. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place, I’ll still drive an hour just to have my kiddos seen. They follow HIPPA laws when it involves your pets care to keep their information and your information safe.
Negative experience: Took my cats and dog for flea prevention about a month ago. They did an exam on all of them that i did not ask for and charged me nearly 100 for it. Next day one of my cats started to breath fast and would just be panting laying down. No one in my family told me until 2 days later as i was busy with work. Called the vet and they told me it was not because of the treatment. However, I found this hard to believe because he was completely fine before I took him to this vet. They also said they couldn’t take him in until next week and referred me to another emergency vet. I called that vet and they referred me to another vet that was almost 30 minutes away. I was so desperate as I didn’t want my baby to die and drove over there. Once I got there, they contacted gully animal hospital to get his records and let them know of the situation. they told me there was nothing they could do and it was best to put him down because he had fluid in his lungs and a big heart. This was just a horrible experience and just proves that vets are just money hungry and it’s best to treat and care for your animals at home. I know if I wouldn’t have taken my cat to the vet that day he would still be here. They did an examination that they charged me for but still couldn’t find that there was something wrong with his heart? They said he was in good shape after the examination but when I got to the other vet they said he had problems with his heart? Yet he was totally fine before all of this? I definitely learned my lesson and don’t trust vets. All they care about is your money and not your pets health
Positive experience: Not the same….. too many animals and not enough doctors is the culprit which could lead to additional veterinary cost such as an emergency clinic thanks to the slow access to care. Maybe better training or coordination possibly but we’ve been going there for years and the care is hit and miss these days. Veterinarians are great once you get in there though.
Fantastic experience: Dr. Franklin and his team are incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable. They combine great patient care and medical expertise to take great care of your pets. I highly recommend them if you need someone to take care of your family.
Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about them, when we lived in Midlothian we took our dogs to their Midlothian location. When we moved back to Arlington, we began to utilize the Cooper St. location. They can get your pet in FAST! They are very attentive and have always provided our dogs with excellent care. Our dogs don't seem to mind going to the vet, and they love the attention they receive from the staff and doctors! We recently moved to Collin County and had to switch vets, I just don't think they will be as great as the staff at Gully P.S. If you ever decide to open a location in Collin County we would be thrilled :)
Fantastic experience: Very caring office staff, techs. Nurses. Dr. Franklin gave a diagnosis after 2 other vets couldn't. It wasn't the best ,yet he delivered it with kindness, compassion & options & the truth. I've known & delt with Gully for 8 yrs. Always leave feeling that my pets' comfort & health are their number 1 focus. Thank you, Deborah L.
Fantastic experience: Everyone has been great both times we've been in. First time we were in was to get the dog child's teeth cleaned - the doctors were awesome. They explained everything really well and were kind and gentle with my girl. We had to come in earlier this week because Hendrix decided she was an acrobat while jumping off the couch and hurt herself. They squeezed us into their very busy schedule. Dr. Poole was great - she and the tech got down on the floor with my anxiety ridden rescue dog to help her feel more at ease. She was very thorough in checking her over. The tech (I cannot remember her name) kept Hendrix calm and was very friendly. I can't thank y'all enough for taking such good care of my baby girl.
Fantastic experience: We've been going here for years. They keep our fur babies healthy. The doctors and staff are always friendly and the facility is very clean. The extended hours are fabulous!
Fantastic experience: They are so patient with my over anxious Coop. If your fur baby is basically bigger than you & needs his/her vaccines hands down the best place to take them is here . I have a lab who’s what society calls a covid fur baby & he’s super fearful of other people Gully’s have been so helpful with us throughout this journey with his vaccines. I can’t thank you all enough for helping us get what he needs to stay healthy
Positive experience: Staff is very nice. The wait time was minimal. I rated 4 stars because I felt like there was no time put into my furbaby's visit. It took all of 5 minutes for them to say she needs surgery. No xrays, no tests.
Negative experience: Loved this vet for my cats, many of the doctors are awesome and a lot of the vet assistants are great as well. Lack of stars come from the other 2% of front desk employees that have a terrible attitude and little to no regard for anything besides making a quick penny. Brought my cat back in for a simple anal gland expression as I do once a month because he is unable to express them on his own (which not to mention is a whopping $35-$40 compared to $15-20 LITERALLY everywhere else). I have had awesome experiences up until today so I figured paying the extra $15 was worth it for the great vet staff and communication. Usually if they are not full or there is no need to actually see a doctor I don’t get charged for anything besides the visit. Today I asked the front desk lady to check if they were full and see if they need to be expressed. After taking my cat back for approximately 2 minutes and then coming back out to tell us that his anal glands were empty and that there was nothing to express, she told me I would still need to pay even though there was nothing done. I asked why I was still being required to pay that much and if it could at least be split in half since there was nothing to be expressed, and she declined and made me pay full price before leaving. I really appreciate honesty and compassion at places at vet offices especially since they are dealing with our babies. Usually gully is one of the best vets in Arlington but they need to reevaluate their front desk staff or at least train them on how to speak to people especially customers. Won’t be coming back
Fantastic experience: I brought my 14yr old mini schnauzer in for grooming. He was severely matted 6 weeks overdue for grooming since his groomer was recently closed. They did an amazing job with his grooming! He can be difficult. I was so happy with what they did. Staff is very good and personable. I will be using them again!
Fantastic experience: We found Gully Animal Hospital when we were looking for an orthopedic specialist after we found out our dog Rowdy potentially tore her knee. We saw Dr Franklin and have only positive things to say about him. We were not pushed into surgery right away and were encouraged to try conservative management. Follow ups we always felt well cared for and like they remembered us. When it became clear that surgery was the best option, TTA surgery was fully explained to us. Even though the price felt overwhelming to us at the time, our follow up care was amazing and Rowdy is 6 months out now. She plays hard with her sister and is thriving to where even after long walks or play sessions you can’t tell which leg was worked on. We are writing this review now because we were talking about how happy we were to have found Gully Animal Hospital, Dr Franklin, and vet tech Bradi. We have moved all our vet care (and boarding) to them even though it’s over an hour drive for us. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
Positive experience: Greatfull they were able to get me in for my cat to be seen. It was an emergency for me and a blessing. He's my big baby Things happen just when you pay off all your credit card debt. Thank God you are able....
Positive experience: My family and I have been bringing our fur babies here for over 15 years, and unfortunately, it's changed quite a bit. The staff is nice, and the Dr's are as well, but any time you need help, they don't have any room to see you and will schedule days out. My dog hurt his hip, and when my husband called to tell them what happened and that he's in pain, they scheduled it 4 days out at the earliest. We just took him to the ER and got him seen. The time before that, he got attacked by another dog, and they told us they would see him that time as well and to just go to the ER, what is the point of being a vets office yet you don't see you when you need them.
Negative experience: After years of dealing with this place I have come to the only conculsion this place gives. THERE ONLY GOAL IS TO MAKE MONEY. Are they nice? Sure. But you will never get the same doctor and even though they keep files on pets, they will play dumb on previous health issues. Thousands of dollars later and they could never tell me what was wrong with the health of my dog, only for her to die, and then they wanted to make money off disposing of her body. This is an awful heartless business that pretends to care so they can make money off the love you have for your pet.
Fantastic experience: Gully helped with compassion as we had to say goodbye to our beloved Golden. They were kind and sensitive and made the process very easy.
Negative experience: I’m a single mom, so I do not have the freedom to leave work on a whim. We got to the clinic around 7:00 pm & they turned us away, the staff said they were at full capacity. Our sweet Arthur ended up passing away shortly after. I know at that point, maybe there wasn’t much they could have done, but I wish they could’ve at least helped with something to make his remaining time with us comfortable. R.I.P our sweet, gentle, & beloved Arthur Barthur.
Fantastic experience: I have gone through Gully Animal Hospital for several of my babies past and present, and they have never disappointed me. Quality service every time. The compassion that I have received from them in trying times will always be remembered. Thank you for all that you do.
Fantastic experience: Dr Webb and his technician were very knowledgeable and compassionate to my situation with my cat. Dr Webb was very thorough examining my cat. I was given an itemized list, and cost, of all the procedures needed to examine my cat. Dr Webb was very honest about the outcome of treatment, even after a few days in the hospital. I was provided with the cost of the treatment that day and the cost of the hospital before anything was done. The front desk was also upbeat and gave me a warm feeling that I made the right decision to bring my cat to gully’s Animal Hospital.
Negative experience: They charge for every little thing. Very greedy. I took my dogs there for a few years but I have now found a vet that does not charge for ear cytology and cleaning the ears when visiting for an ear infection. They would not even work with me. GREEDY!
Negative experience: I have been bringing my fur babies here since 2009. I am so disappointed. My little boy needed to be seen on an emergency and I was told they didn't have anything. Not even an emergency. I had to take him somewhere else and ended up having to say goodbye. I was always so happy with everyone there. I referred every chance I got. Yesterday was very heart breaking for me. I needed them and the girl that answered the phone turned us away without a thought. It's a shame, Dr. Webb is great, but, I will take my business elsewhere. Heart broken
Fantastic experience: 9/17/23 our family made the difficult decision to say goodbye to our 13 yr old best friend Sam. He had a stroke in May so we knew we were on borrowed time but it still snuck up on us when he declined so suddenly over the weekend. It was Sunday and none of us wanted him to suffer anymore. My husband made some calls and Gully was able to get us in that afternoon. They were so kind. Brittany was wonderful in an otherwise not wonderful circumstance. She allowed us to take our time with Sam. We had him since he was 10wks old and suddenly 10 more minutes didn't feel like enough, but she was patient with us and let us lead as far as timing went. It's been 3 days now and I'm still a bit of a mess but I wanted to leave this before life swept away my thoughts.
Fantastic experience: I don’t post reviews hardly ever, but my experience with Gully was so great I felt the need to. I frantically brought my 9 week old mini Aussie in only 30 minutes to close after he began throwing up, was very lethargic and was drooling uncontrollably. They were incredibly kind, had a room ready for me as soon as I walked in, and jumped right into finding out what was wrong with my boy. They exhausted all options, were very transparent about pricing, stayed opened later to finish up diagnostics, and did so after telling me doing them with them would be cheaper than at a 24 hour ER they were going to be referring me to. My pup was okay, maybe just got ahold of something in the yard that upset his stomach. But the quick and compassionate care they gave to me and my dog were incredibly appreciated.
Positive experience: Very friendly staff. Genuinely seem to care about our fur baby. Patient and gentle with him. He wasn't too bothered by the visit. Will return for future needs.
Negative experience: I always heard good things about this place but my mom came in today with her chihuahua who has had seizures off and on his whole life. Wanting a check up and blood work done because he was really struggling today. And they wouldn't even look at him and sent him away. They can't handle things like that I guess. Definitely disappointing and shocking yall are willing to just pass the buck. Must have been to much work for them. Will never recommend for even just shots since actual medical treatment is beyond their capabilities.
Negative experience: I ran into a friend of mine, and she swore up and down gully is the best animal Hospital in the city. Well, I called over there today and the lady that answered the phone was completely rude. I asked her several questions about Spaying and bringing my dog in for her annual shots and she completely got argumentative , rude and defensive. I’m a big believer of good businesses but I think that if they were completely rude and ignorant at the front, imagine what happens in the back end of a local business. No thank you I will not be bringing my dog in.
Positive experience: They've always been super accommodating and have always treated my cat baby great. Highly recommend. 2022 edit: Had to bring in 2 of my cats & saw a vet we'd never had before, Dr. Kuhl. She is allergic to cats and made it VERY clear, which is strange since I just read on their website she has a cat. She ordered blood work ($148) for one cat, & days later after we'd heard nothing, found out the policy there is for the vet that ordered the labs to go over them and call us back. Fine, except she wasn't going to be back for TWO WEEKS. I love this vet office, but this is a ridiculous policy and I will NEVER have any of my animals seen by her again. 2023 edit: Just save yourself the headache and go straight to I-20 Animal Hospital.
Fantastic experience: We had to take our dog in to put her to sleep. Everyone was super respectful, kind and compassionate. The doctor even held Punkie's paw as she crossed over the rainbow bridge. Afterward, they even put her in a box for us and wrapped her arms around her favorite stuffie she loved to play with in the box. I highly recommend them for your fur babies' needs.
Fantastic experience: First time, after multiple horrible experiences at Animal Emergency Hospital in Mansfield. Loved the Vet. They found the issue with our girl, and she is now making improvements. Love that you can make weekend and late weekday appointments, at the normal rate. This is now our go to for all Vet visits.
Positive experience: First grooming. Groomer did a great job for the first time, but the Pom said her sanitary cut was a little too close to her girly parts. Very itchy for several days.
Fantastic experience: I have brought three cats here as I help with neighborhood ones and this has got to be one of the most professional as well equipped veterinary! I'm grateful for their compassion and making me feel comfortable as well as the furry friends I bring to them
Fantastic experience: Great with cats too! Been a few times for various things (from vaccines/yearly checkup, medication refills, allergies, to a leg injury) for my kitties and the staff is great! I love that they are upfront about pricing beforehand! Even the techs are familiar with handling cats, not just dogs. Even my more troublesome cat (with claws) who has been too unruly for other vets to draw blood was calm enough here. My other cat who is very shy even got out of his carrier on his own in our room (usually a process that involves a struggle to pull him out). A success all around!
Fantastic experience: Answered all my questions and were very helpful. The only negative I can say is that I was there from start to finish for 2 hours but it was a Friday and they fit me in that day to see someone because my dog was sick. So I'm still very thankful!
Fantastic experience: We love Gully Animal Hospital! I feel like the have competitive pricing and are always able to get our dogs in (even if it's last minute). I love that they offer weekend and evening appointments, so I don't have to take off work. The staff is always friendly and makes sure my dogs are comfortable. I recommend them to all my friends with pets!
Fantastic experience: Words can't even describe the amount of compassion love care and most of all love in this office. I had to put my cat down due to an illness.. and they made that experience the most loving graceful and peaceful experience. I'll forever cherish these people and I pray God continues to bless them to keep being a blessing to everyone and their fur babies!
Fantastic experience: I brought my 4 year old cat, Max, in yesterday after he had stopped eating. I was thinking the worst and was so nervous but the vet and vet tech were both amazing. When it comes to who I choose to care for my pets, I want to feel like they treat my pet as if they were their own. That's exactly how I felt with both of these people. Even though not eating is a very common reason for a vet trip, the doctor almost immediately mentioned a test for pancreatitis, which turned out to be his diagnosis. We avoided a bunch of unnecessary, uncomfortable, and potentially costly tests because the doctor took the time to really listen to me about what was wrong with Max. He is already doing so much better; he's back to his old self. I want to thank that doctor and tech, although I don't remember their names. If either of you are reading this, please know how much I appreciate you, and I'm so happy to know that Max was taken care of, and that he's feeling better now because of you. Thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: Quick, professional service. Very kind to my leash reactive dog. And it didn't cost an arm and a leg for an evening appointment. I would definitely recommend to everyone ETA: came for our annual vaccinations and exam. We were able to basically get in and out. They were as kind and gentle with him as last time. I can't see us going anywhere else for the foreseeable future.
Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Gully in Arlington for several years with my dog Leila. She is a troubled pup that always seems to have a new health issue - to the extent that I joke about helping to keep the lights on over there. We have had wonderful interactions with Dr. Franklin, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Webb. The front office staff is always warm and welcoming - even when I have to frantically call to get a last minute appointment. I appreciate the work they do.
Negative experience: Edit: It has been a week and they still will not return my call as promised. I do not recommend this place. Do not trust this vets office with your pets health. I have been going to this vet for over a year and they have not issued my pets vaccinations that I came there for. I just was told by a secretary at their office that my pet has been behind on shots since MARCH!!! My pet has come in several times since then and not once did they do what was necessary when I paid for the checkup and shots.
Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Gully! My dog isn't great with other dogs, and they worked around it so I could wait in my car and then go straight into a room when it was opened. Brittany, Genesis, and Dr. Rushing were so nice and answered every question I had. Truly amazing place to take your animals :)
Fantastic experience: Dr. Austin Webb & the rest of the Gully Arlington staff were awesome. Dr. Webb is very personable and had great interaction with our family and with our Daisy Mae which means a lot to us. We will get all of our other babies scheduled in for their annuals asap. Our previous vet retired and so now we've found our new Vet for all of our furbabies!
Fantastic experience: It was our first time here and I love these people!! All the staff were very patient with my COVID puppy (she’s 3years old). The vet tech that worked with us sat in the exam room for a long while talking with me and ignoring my reactive dogs barks at her. By the end of the visit my dog laid down while she was in the room which was amazing. They did say with how reactive my dog is they wouldn’t be able to do a grooming, which is understandable! So I asked if we could try to trim my dogs nails and there able to do that. Both the vet tech and the veterinarian gave me tips on how to help my dog with her reactivity, which I really appreciate. Thanks again y’all!
Fantastic experience: Everyone is always very nice and helpful. Every veterinarian we have seen here, so far, has been extremely knowledgeable about Gracie and her needs. What I love the most is how attentive all of the staff is and how everyone treats Gracie like she is one of their own.
Fantastic experience: This is the only place I’ll ever take my cat again! After getting my 7 month old British shorthair neutered somewhere else, we brought him home and he was bleeding. The place he was neutered was already closed by the time we came home and he was bleeding a lot. I was so panicked and didn’t know what to do. We went straight to gully animal hospital since they are open late and we had a good experience when he was vaccinated there. We walked in without calling prior and they let us know there would be a wait but they were able to see us quickly. I was so upset and worried about my kitty but the way they helped him and spoke to us was so comforting. Seriously everyone at gully is just so amazing! This is the kind of place where you know your pet is in good hands and being cared for. Doctor Sanders also called a couple of days later to follow up and see if my kitten was doing better and thanks to her and the nurse who helped us he is perfect and healing great. Definitely recommend this place!
Negative experience: Dr. Franklin is an extremely insensitive human being. I was trying to schedule an appointment for my dog’s surgery and instead of kindly declining, he made it a point to emphasize that it was my lack of funds that is causing my dog pain. While I tried to scheduled in May, I was informed that he is booked out. Now that I am trying to schedule an appointment in June, it’s too complicated and he refuses to perform the surgery. Which is great since now I am questioning his empathy and his experience. Lastly, before I left, he made it a point to throw the specialist information and mention that I am SOL since the specialist is fully booked for July. To save you the time, please just go see the specialist. You might think you are saving money, but is it really worth it to have to see Dr. Franklin condescending attitude?
Fantastic experience: The best animal hospital I've ever been to. I will never take my animals anywhere else but here. Dr Gully and Dr Franklin are the nicest and most caring vets you'll ever know. They treat you like family and care for your pet like it was their own. While Dr Gully has retired, the rest of the doctors are amazing. Dr Franklin's brother Dr Webb is there now too so it's a great family place.
Positive experience: Our go to for vet needs. We've been going for over 10 years now. Lucy loves it here she did come home with a cut under her eye from boarding with no explanation though. Thus the missing star. We prefer the boarding at grand prarie location for boarding, seems cleaner and newer.
Negative experience: We took our cat for grooming but had to make an appointment with the vet first and make sure she had all her shots before she got groomed. The vet checked her and vaccines were administered. Our car is almost 18 years old and something they were fully aware. An appointment was made to cut her hair about a month later. We dropped her off this morning (04/26/2022) for her appointment. We got a call around 1pm saying that they were not going to be able cut her hair because she could not stay still and needed to be sedated but for that to happen we needed to see the vet again because she was too old and blood work needed to be done. They already knew how old she was. I guess all the pets stay still when a stranger is trying to cut their hair or perhaps they all need to be sedated. I guess they did try and this is how they left her.
Fantastic experience: Everyone at the office is so sweet and they’re really efficient. They are also great at scheduling those last minute appointments when your furry friend needs some care
Fantastic experience: My 14yr. Old boy Jerry was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. We took him to Gully hospital a 3 weeks ago and it was time to let him go. The staff and doctors were all very sweet and compassionate. The vet was gentle and allowed us to stay with him till the end. We had him cremated and received his ashes fairly quickly. A few days after I received this beautiful card signed by all the staff. Thank you to Gully staff and vets for being so caring and helping my boy to the rainbow. People like you are amazing. Keep up the good work. It does not go unnoticed. The Perez Family.
Fantastic experience: This is a great place to take your pets! They helped me when I had ButterBean that had to go across rainbow bridge and they made a very emotional and heartbreaking time as easy on me as possible! We now have 4 other dogs and we take them all to Gully! They truly love your pets!
Fantastic experience: My dog was throwing up and having diarrhea often so I took her to the vet hoping it was something easily fixed. They did some tests that my baby didn’t like but they found out that she had tapeworms and gave me the right meds to help. Now she is feeling happy and healthy again. Yes it was expensive to run all the tests and get the meds but it’s expensive anywhere you go and my girl is better so Thank you! Picture for cuteness
Fantastic experience: The entire experience was wonderful from the girls that checked us in to the entire care team. Our vet tech, Lauren was extremely knowledgeable and made us comfortable right away. We came here because Dr. Williams had been so highly recommended on the Mansfield talk Facebook group. Now I understand why. This is my 4th Golden Retriever and she took the time to explain important things about her health and future care that no veterinarian has ever done. They have my business forever and I can't wait to take my other dogs to see them.
Fantastic experience: The staff and Doctor were outstanding. They took great care of my boy Leo in his last moments before crossing the rainbow Bridge. They allowed me time to spend with him before he took his last breath and let me stay with him as long as I needed. It was a hard day and I thank them for being so gentle and kind.
Negative experience: We arrived at 3:50 for a 4:00 appointment and we were not called back until 4:35. At around 4:12 I asked the front desk clerk if there was a better day come to be seen more closer to your appointment, she said she couldn’t say and that all days are basically the same. I responded and said it seems they could do better with scheduling. She proceeds to one up me by saying yeah I’m still waiting at my doctor’s office. First of all I didn’t ask you about your human doctor’s office, don’t try to deflect. And I beg to differ… there are literally thousands of doctors, dentists, and veterinarians that respect people’s time and their support of the business that allows them to thrive. Why wouldn’t she respond first with an apology and say today is unusual and we’ll try to get you back as soon as possible. I’m truly amazed at the low levels of customer service in the world today. These businesses act as if we owe them something and they’re the ones in the service industry. You go in these places expecting high quality service, but they disrespect you and take your money. It’s disgusting to say the least. I’m so glad consumers have choices. I, for one, will not be going back to this place.
Fantastic experience: So far so good. I have taken both of my cats up here several times now, They had flexible scheduling of appointments, got me in and out quickly, took care of the issue, genuinly seem to care about your pets and the prices are not rediculous like some other vets I have tried to use. Doctors took the time to explain everything in terms I understood.
Positive experience: I brought my temperamental dog and they knew just how to handle her. I came for vaccinations. I would give them a higher rating, however, i wish they would have presented me with the itemized receipt before or explained the charges BEFORE they vaccinated her. Receiving the bill after and not giving me the option to not get my dog the pricey flu shots would have been more transparent and made me feel like it was my choice. We all have budgets.
Negative experience: Thurs around 8 pm i noticed my dog started to limp. Something either bit him or he stepped on something. His paw pad was red and swollen. I called Gully's animal hospital but they were closed. I sent them an email stating this, hoping to get my dog in 1st thing in the morning. I called at 7:05 am and staff told me they had nothing till 4:45. Short of begging to get him in earlier, i was told they couldnt get him in. When I asked her what I should do, she said I could always go to another vet. And no one addressed my email request. This is not the 1st time I have had trouble with staff. Today i went into the clinic asking for a manager and I was given her business card. I expressed my dissatisfaction to front staff only to be told that since Dr. Gully retired, the clinic no longer takes on too much to overwhelm their staff. And aftwr all this, not ONE of the staff even asked about my dog.
Fantastic experience: This is our baby princess at the office who was sick and had not ate in days.. we were offered several options for treatment.. everyone was super nice it was very affordable.. everyone else I called as an emergency visit was over 1000 our baby next day is now eating ❤️
Fantastic experience: I took my fur baby here when it appeared she had a bad abcess on her jaw. They would need to sedate her in order to get a good look at what was going on with her. It turned out she had cancer, and we had to euthanize her. These folks were very kind, allowing us to spend her last hour with her in peace. We got to hold her and tell her we loved her as she slipped away. Thank you to Dr. Sanders and her staff, we appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding, and for staying past closing to allow those last precious moments with our sweet mama ❤
Fantastic experience: Found out during a visit with a different vet that my dog would need his eye removed. Places they recommended and other places I found were going to charge $250 just for an initial visit. That's when I asked someone I knew from the area who they used and they recommended Gully. I called them on a Friday, they scheduled to see my dog that Sunday ($50 fee), and had my dog in for surgery that Monday. Not only did they take great care of my dog, the surgery went great (and they keep you updated throughout), and the bill was a lot less than the estimate given before the surgery. First time I've ever experienced a final bill being less than the original estimate. They were so good with my dog that we're going to take our other dog and cat to them
Fantastic experience: Took my cat in today for an exam and the staff was so friendly! My cat has had some issues with stress and aggression at the vet before and they were so patient with him (he was even a good boy today!) They answered all my questions and were very honest. I definitely found the vet I'll be taking my animals to.
Fantastic experience: They are always so easy to work with and weren’t put off at all about me having a deaf dog. She was asking them for all the pets. My cattle dog loves them, too. They have always been timely with their follow ups and communication with any prescriptions or bloodwork is always clear and concise. They offer a military discount, as well. Working with them the last two years has been a breeze.
