Experiencia positiva: The vet was very helpful in figuring out the problem with my pet and they left good recommendations. All the other staff were also very kind and helpful. My pet made a huge recovery in a couple of days thanks to the vet! Though the wait times were a little long. But overall an awesome place to bring sick pets!

Experiencia fantástica: Notwithstanding the long wait (they were super busy) and having to leave my kitty to go home and get rest (she needed tests and at 3:30 am we were exhausted) they took good care of her. The front desk ladies were very sweet and answered my questions and got status updates each time I asked. The vets were on the ball and seemed very knowledgeable when I connected with them. They also gave me options for treatment which I appreciated. When you’re in a pinch, and need to have your fur baby be seen in the middle of the night, it’s a solid choice. Yes, it’s more expensive and sometimes you have to wait a long time — but it’s literally an ER (just like a human ER) and being seen is subject to what emergencies they have in front of them.

Experiencia negativa: My husband & I will not be going back to Arizona Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Center if we have to interact with Dr. Yamada. Once we were informed that our little kitty had intestinal obstruction from eating something she wasn’t supposed to they tried to charge us $12000 total in order for her to get life saving surgery. We told Dr. Yamada that we simply could not afford that & found somewhere more affordable for us. We asked to get our kitten back so that we could get her into surgery at the other vet because it was a time sensitive situation. She then proceeded to stall & keep trying to explain how our kitten should stay there to receive treatment. Once we became frustrated from not being listened to she got an attitude with us & was being extremely rude. We finally got our kitten back & were able to get her affordable care at a different vet that actually listened to our concerns.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a significant scare 1 week after surgery with our Pomsky. The staff and providers were very helpful and kind. I witnessed multiple interactions with the same caring attitude. They were informative, clear, and upfront with everything. (and all of this was at 200 am!) I don't know what I would have done without Arizona Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center staff and providers!

Experiencia positiva: We came in Superbowl Sunday maybe 2-3 hrs after picking up our dog that was hospitalized for seizures and unfortunately had to put her down. The staff was great and showed compassion. I asked for paw prints and they did that and nose prints. Here is the part I was not happy with. We unfortunately had to return just 3 short days later with our other senior dog that just all of a sudden collapsed in the yard and had very shallow breathing and pale gums. We enter and a guy was standing at the desk (NO RESEPTIONIST) I asked if he had been waiting and he said yes a little bit. Then I look at the window to the back at someone just staring into the lobby and not coming out. I went and banged on the door when she disappeared. Finally I got someone to come out. I had to basically push my son who was holding our dog hardly holding onto life through the door for them to look at her. Then they come at me with a $600 estimate and I said I want to talk to the Dr. Finally get put in a room. The dr put the ultrasound machine on my girls stomach and found a mass along with fluid in her belly. After just trying to get me to sign an estimate for stuff that was already done she told me I wasn't going to be charged for it. I notified the Dr that we were just in on Sunday putting our other dog down and due to this one being 15 it was about quality of life and we had decided to put her down. I asked the dr if they could please do the prints like they did for our other dog I was told no problem. A nurse came in and moved us to the "goodbye room" I then asked again and they already knew and would get it done. After putting our girl to sleep we took her home to be buried next to her friend. When they brought her out and helped load her into the truck the nurse basically kicked us out of the room and we had to go. Trying to still comfort one another I did not appreciate this and then we get home and no prints. I called the next day and no prints in the back. One thing I asked for multiple times and they couldn't make it happen after assuring me they would. 2 different visits and 2 completely different experiences. The fact that no receptionist was up front and nobody came up to triage when we came in was completely unexceptable. I worked at the EAC. We ALWAYS HAD A RESEPTIONIST AND ALWAYS TRIAGED ANYTIME SOMEONE CAME IN NO MATTER HOW BUSY WE WERE. I will be going to another emergency next time it is needed. Disappointed.

Experiencia negativa: Will never go here again. Kept us waiting for an hour just to get an estimate. Wanted to charge $1,000 to put a few stitches in my dog and an antibiotic. It’s a rip off. Our regular vet provides excellent service and the cost was 1/3 of what this place wanted. Don’t go there if you can possibly avoid it. Also, they charged us $200 to take vitals and weigh my girl. Horrible service. I would give it ZERO STARS if I could.

Experiencia fantástica: I would take my fur babies there anytime. Very caring and quick at letting us know what was happening and for us to make a formative decision on the care needed as well as the cost. Very pleased with the staff. My puppy is doing much better and is happy to be home.

Experiencia negativa: The veterinarian was not as effective as other places I’ve been to and were unable to answer some of my questions or seemed unsure in responding. The place was not the cleanest and the staff was straight to the point. There were occasions were they had my puppy in the back with them and not doing anything, which the vet accepted despite them saying it was an emergency and had to get my puppy’s emergency taken care of in two hours. They did not give my pet back until 4 hours later doing nothing. They don’t update you on your pet’s wellbeing and don’t let you into the room until they have to ask you to pay and bring you back to the lobby. I went here for an emergency and despite the staff being as professional as they can be, I disliked their efficiency with time and their care for your pet

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone there is so loving and caring. Our little Bengal kitty was in a bad spot, and they got her onto the road of recovery in just a few days... Now if only I could not be so hasty and let God do the rest...

Experiencia fantástica: I felt good and trusted this place. They knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, the surgery was extremely expensive and your average person cannot pay for the surgery, especially if it was one that they were not sure was going to give my dog much longer than six months, but I thought everybody there was very professional and sincere, and I loved the vet. She was extremely personable and I would’ve trusted her to do the surgery in a heartbeat it was a sad situation for my dog and me.

Had the best experience, the night team was super friendly and helpful and took amazing care of us and our cat. Gave us amazing service and were super informative which helped ease the worries that I had. They were very thorough with their work and answered every question we had and more. Experiencia fantástica: I called this place and the lady I spoke to was very calm and kind answered all my questions as I was asking a lot because I just wanted to make sure this was the right place to go because it was far for me. I got there they immediately gave me paperwork to fill out tagged My dog asked questions about my dog and got my dog in for some pain medication and then a few moments later, the doctor spoke to me told me everything that was wrong with my dog offered me services. It was just a really great experience here. I will be coming here again for sure.

Experiencia negativa: I found a little stray cat that was very sick in the back of my apartments and took this cat to this place after being told by the humane society that I could take it to any emergency vet and they would take it and follow up with the humane society. I took the cat in thinking it would not make it through the night if left outside as it was. I didn't sleep very well worried about this cat so I called to ask if the cat survived the night and the said they could not provide any information, even if it was alive or not. I find this to be very disappointing and will not bring any animal to this location ever again.. stray or not.

Experiencia negativa: Do Not Ever Call with an emergency! I called last night in a panic because I had accidentally washed my cat with flea and tick shampoo and need to know if it was harmful. The woman who answered was very nasty about it and told me that “all the vets were with patients and she wasn’t going to waste their time putting them on the phone” if this is how you treat people who are scared and looking for help then your in the wrong business! Also for the owners I know the calls are recorded so if you don’t believe me look up who took the call at 11:44 2/3/2026

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my chihuahua (Ginger) here on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The staff and doctors were very professional and so loving! I knew my little girl was in good hands. They communicated everything to me and kept me updated on her progress. She was released on Friday, January 30, 2026 to see a neurologist. I really recommend this care center!

Experiencia fantástica: My pup had a seizure and I rushed her over to AVECCC and from the moment we arrived and the next day we came to pick her up the intake staff, the doctors and the discharge staff was the most accommodating. They are very detailed and thorough. I have never been so scared in my life when it came to my pup, the reassurance and compassion they have is awesome. AVECCC - keep up the good work!

Experiencia negativa: If you want to pay $5,000 for your pet to be mistreated and mismanaged, then AVECC Peoria is the perfect place. I paid $5,000 for AVECC to overdose my dog on morphine, give her a feeding tube she did not need, and then to monitor her afterwards. I am extremely displeased with the service, quality of care, and communication. My dog was transferred to AVECC Peoria in August and I have been trying to resolve a dispute for approximately five months now. My dog Phoebe was transferred to AVECC after surgery for monitoring and I was told that she was recovering well, eating fine, alert, and playful. I was later informed that she was not eating, vomiting, and would need to stay another day. I was later informed that she had been overdosed on morphine and this was an oversight on multiple members of her care team and by multiple shifts (day and night). She then received an unnecessary feeding tube after days of being at AVECC, sick, although she was eating her food I prepared for her when I came to visit. The doctors had incorrect notes, listing allergies and conditions she did not have, left her (and sent her home) in a cone covered in vomit, and seemed to lack significant communication between shifts. When I first visited her, she was completely limp, unable to keep her head up, in a cone covered in dried vomit, and was peeing herself. This was during the time of the mismanagement of her pain medication. Poison control had to be contacted and I was informed that the morphine would take 24 hours to leave her system. Once on her intended dose, she was eating, ceased vomiting, and was much more alert. Once discharged, I was still charged for two days of “care”, no one went over discharge information with me, I was handed an envelope and a care package in the lobby, and felt rushed out. So rushed that they forgot to give me her medication and belongings and I had to turn around TWICE to retrieve them. After many phone calls, discussions with multiple doctors, and financial representatives, I was told that it is “unclear” that her prolonged stay, vomiting, and lack of appetite were a result of morphine overdose. Despite doing well before and after the morphine overdose, AVECC had insisted that I need to speak with a number of different people and have given me the run around for MONTHS. I have waited five months for this to be resolved and was told today (after AVECC has been speaking to their legal team and failing to return my calls) that I will still be financially responsible for two days of “care” because although I am displeased with the quality of care, “care was still received”. I highly suggest you find another animal hospital if you care about your pets and the care they receive.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff at AVECC was so kind and competent. They quickly assessed the risk to my dog after an accidental exposure and took all the steps to make sure she got through it. They kept us apprised of her care and condition throughout the entire process. 10 out of 10!

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say enough about this practice and it's people. I truly hope your company knows the incredible work the ladies working your front desk are doing! I spend several hours there last night hearing and watching the interactions between these 2 young ladies and all of your clients. They treated everyone with sincerity and genuine care. To comfort each customer, provide them with assurance, and truly listen through tears and emotions is rough and these ladies did it flawlessly! These ladies are the face of your company and are absolutely rocking it! Your doctors and technicians also did an incredible job! I without hesitation would recommend your practice and hope you continue the work that you are doing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Experiencia positiva: I believe that they took good care of my dog and assessed in took care of her immediate needs however I don’t feel like I had a very clear diagnosis when she left and a bill of over $4000. They were communicative and kind and I do not feel like my dog had any type of stress when I picked her up. My only concern like I said was the cost of everything. After my husband expressed concern, they did discount the ultrasound a little bit for us.

Experiencia fantástica: Professional and clean. They took patients based on priority of need, thus I waited for 1 1/2 hours. Consultation with Dr. took all of five minutes and cost $175.00, and if I wanted an xray it was going to be another $600.00. I think their pricing is outrageous.

Experiencia fantástica: AVECC PEORIA Not only did this place do wonders on caring for our baby, they gave her constant love, attention, and supported us in such a tough time. Our dog went under surgery for pyometra and ended up being admitted to AVECC for overnight care not long after her surgery. they cared for our girl for 2 nights giving her everything she needed and bringing her limp lifeless body back to her normal loud crazy self. We can’t thank AVECC and Cactus animal hospital enough for saving our girl and not giving up on her. Highly highly recommend!! P.S. They were even a little understaffed, extremely busy with other emergencies walking in, along with the babies they already had in the care and that STILL didn’t take away from their love for their job.

Experiencia negativa: They refused to help my dog in need of an emergency c-section before they got paid, my dog is now DEAD! They should be ashamed of themselves and I PRAY NONE OF THEM OWN ANY PETS!

Experiencia positiva: it was a very long wait cuz we got there at 10:00 p.m. and ended up going home around 3:00 a.m. but it was very helpful and I got the medicine I needed and the medicine is working though it was extremely expensive they were very friendly

Experiencia negativa: I brought my dog in to be seen after calling and letting them know what was going on. I got there and explained everything further in detail. They got us in a waiting room and we waited 5 1/2 hours before even being seen! I repeatedly had to call the front desk and tell them I was concerned for my dog and they kept telling me the dr would come in! I eventually ended up not getting the care we needed and went over to another emergency vet. I highly recommend “ Veterinary Emergency Group” in Phoenix on camelback! They are wonderful and take great care of your loved one. I will not be taking my dog back here ever again! I strongly suggest “ Veterinary Emergency Group” if you have any concerns about your babies!

Experiencia fantástica: Allemplyees were helpful and kept us informed of what was being done with our puppy. The vet was outstanding and walked us through the steps he had taken. He has great people skills and you can tell that he is dedicated to his profession I would highly recommend the facility to anybody that needed care for their pets. Great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: So i know places like these it can be hard sometimes because priority cases come first, and for some reason, they are super busy at night. I don't think some people realize the hard decision, They need to make intreating a dog with an open wound or another dog, that's having a seizure. I know when I first came here. I waited 5 hours just for them to tell me, The bleeding stopped and he is good to go home. I do have to say the staff is Extremely caring and thorough. I think for worst case scenarios. This hospital is on the better side of good. If I had to critique one thing, it would be that it's corporate owned, and they do push for more procedures and tests, That sometimes might not be necessary but it's all in the means being thorough. All in all these are good people trying to do their best for the animals we care about. I got lucky with my westie , my best friend didnt have an urgent or fatal problem and I can say The staff and the doctor did a very good job. Informed me of all the possibilities and all the different pathways. I could take for the health of my dog. My heart goes out to everyone who had and will have a scary time here. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience during a very stressful situation with my dog Luna. The staff was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I had used other pet ER’s in the past but I can honestly say this place went above and beyond my expectations. They communicated with me and my husband frequently, explained Luna’s condition throughly, they addressed every question and concerns we had. Excellent service!

Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to come and write a review from my experience with my cat Simba that had pancreatitis, jaundice and tons of organ inflammation and stuff going on. When I first brought him to Aveccc I was feeling I wasn’t gonna be able to save him. It was costly but they did save my cat Simba with the right treatment. He is so healthy and happy today and his tube is gone and he is eating on his own. I was especially impressed with Dr. Carluen. Thank you again.

Experiencia negativa: My dog came in with an injured and bleeding ear. They had us sit in the waiting room for over 30 minutes while her ear was profusely bleeding, getting everywhere. It took 4 hours to finally see the vet then ANOTHER 40 minutes after i paid to get my dog back. They move SO SO slow its ridiculous. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Experiencia positiva: I brought my sweet little dog in for bad stomach issues. It was a madhouse on January 1 and that wait was long as expected. My only issue is I was there for 5 hours (I slowed down after 2 hours) and I had to keep asking for updates. I’d like to see better communication throughout as that would have eased my mind a ton. The staff was very friendly and the doctor was great.

Otherwise, the staff seemed like they truly cared. They were courteous and kind. I would return here again.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone from the Front Office staff to the emergency doctor herself were careful, patient, conscientious, and complete. We feel that all diagnostics that were run more necessary in spite of expense, and our doctor attempted to find an answer to the mystery of our Pets pain. We had a very complete debriefing with the doctor access to her via telephone and email and a complete discharge with the staff. We would highly recommend this facility

Experiencia fantástica: My Dog ran with a stick in her mouth and it jammed into her throat and puncture her throat. Az Vet Emergency did a fantastic job making sure my pet was OK and provided Meds for pain and to help heal the wound. They were a little busy but the Vet was very caring and I felt our pet was in good hands. I would highly recommend them as an Emergency Vet service.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to spend 10 hours or more. I took my dog in and it was 8 hours before I saw the vet to update me on her condition. Then after waiting that long, I was told she needs more testing and had to pay more. Now going on almost 12 hours and no update other then "we have many emergent cases the vet will be with you shortly ". They charged me around $1800 still had no answers to what was really wrong after doing a FAST scan and abdominal ultrasound other then a UTI(never gave me culture results either) that has traveled up bladder and kidneys then wanted me to pay another $4k to leave her there and they would do another ultrasound for possible pancreatitis( which makes no sense they didn't get that in other ultrasound. I left and took her to vet next day and they were amazed at what i paid bc they only saw a UTI and other organs were unremarkable and doesn't match their diagnosis. As well as they are more concerned about why they didnt care about her lymphadenopathy. I just cant believe the experience I had.

Experiencia fantástica: Courteous staff, nice clean lobby with available coffee and the fact that it was less than 3 miles from my home made it very convenient. The Doctor as well as the assistants were very detailed in their evaluation and care for Max.

Experiencia fantástica: Rory came in for some tummy issues over the holidays and even though they were really busy, the staff was amazing! We had to call back a few days later as her symptoms weren’t resolving and they gave us the right meds without needing a second appointment and she’s doing great!:)

Experiencia fantástica: AVECCC was amazing!!! To be open on Christmas day and help me with my pet. They are a blessing and a life saver. Prices are reasonable plus they have a free drop off and pick up option. I was able to get my pet takin care of and also get the sleep I needed for Christmas day.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog was experiencing a medical emergency. When I arrived a medical tech was waiting for us in the parking lot whisked our Nash in for treatment. I was very impressed with care and compassion the entire staff showed Mr. Nash.

Experiencia negativa: If i could give 0 rating i would. We waited for 6 hours only to be checked and in total were able to take our dogs home after 11 hours. Considering that dogs didn’t have any major injuries this waiting time is insane. We had to go back home and when we can back hours later there were same people from the morning (that we saw 10-11 hours ago). Idk what other emergencies were there but there were not many people coming in. Staff was polite but if you don’t have entire day just to sit and wait to be seen by vet i do not recommend going to this place. For sure we will never be coming back Plus they never answered directly how long it would take. I understand they are trying their best and seem very understaffed but if you can’t handle the amount let owners know so they can make informed decision about their pets.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my cat in for an eye infection. After waiting two hours to be seen they took him back to run vitals, they then wouldn’t let me see him. After waiting two more hours before putting us in a room (that my cat was still not in). We waited an additional 30 minutes before getting talked to by the doctor who told me they couldn’t tell what was wrong with him. We decided to opt to get take home meds after this mess. Then at checkout they tried to charge me for meds, test, and supplies he never received (an additional $400 dollars) after paying they finally gave my cat back.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr McKee was awesome! He took his time and was very thorough with my very sick pup. He was also instrumental in facilitating the next steps in medical care with a neurologist.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog in for, what we now know, was anaphylactic shock. The doctors here are amazing, they care a lot about the animals and won’t stop until they make sure they’re okay/they’ve done everything they can. The GI specialist stayed hours after she was supposed to leave, all to make sure my baby pulled through!! If anything happens again, I know where I’ll be going!! Thank you AVECCC team

Experiencia fantástica: Our boxer mix was having seizures. They were quick to see him and gave us all options and worked well with how we wanted to proceed with his care. Keeping us well informed even tho it was the middle of the night. He's alive and home!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Torres was amazing and although he talked so fast, he did walk me through the process and gave multiple options in the care of my frenchie. My boy is doing so well now. I highly recommend and thank Dr. Torres for his care and concern. Only hiccup was the wait time. I was told to pick my boy up at 10:30 PM and they didn’t bring him out until 12:00 AM.

Experiencia fantástica: I’d only had my rescue dog 2 weeks when she became ill and this company was the nearest to me. As a walk in had to wait 1 1/2 hours to see the vet. The place was clean and comfortable while waiting, and I loved the Dr when I finally met her. She diagnosed and explained the ailments my dog was experiencing. I ended up getting a detailed plan for treatment and aftercare, and the appropriate medication for her. Five day later my dog is much better. I was happy with the service I received and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

Everyone was wonderful, front desk, the doctors that took care of my Shelby in her time of crisis and the technicians that also took care of my baby. Everyone was so friendly, and only had my pups best interest in mind. So thankful to have had this set of amazing people at such scary stressful time to help my Shelbs feel better ❤️ Thank you Dr. Tillotson, Dr. Curley, Kennedi and each technician that laid hands on my baby girl. Experiencia fantástica: The staff was great! I was able to get the right information about our sweet baby, Nimbus so we could discuss options. He was very ill and had a blood clot on his brain causing him seizures. He went home to God in a second with euthanasia meds. We all felt peace with his passing as we said our good byes. They explain options and pricing. I would highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was my second visit to AVECCC since Sunday. Having a sick pet is stressful, and I can’t say enough about the staff’s efficiency, expertise, communication and kindness. I don’t want to have to take my cat in for emergency services again, but if I do, it’s a huge comfort knowing AVECCC is there.

Even though I had traveled an extended period of time to get him there, because of their care, he is making a full recovery. Our first stop was the location in Litchfield Park and my dog was transferred here for 24 hour care. Both locations were outstanding. The staff here contacted me often to provide updates and discuss his care plan.

Experiencia fantástica: We arrived after 3 am with a very sick, very nauseous elderly beagle. They got a quick run down of symptoms and rushed her back for vitals. We suspected Vestibular Disease, which was confirmed. She got fluids under the skin, injection of antinausea, tests to be sure nothing else was wrong and came home with medication. They called the next day to check in. Not our first visit here, but our go to in an emergency.

Experiencia negativa: Paid for them to not fix my dogs hip. Lied to me and told me the left hip was popped back into place and the right hip popped out of place when doing so and then tried switching it up, claiming they said they popped the hip back into place was unsuccessful. Did X-rays at a different Vet and found that the right hip was fine and the left hip was very much out of place. Blamed it on me saying I misunderstood and it was the middle of the night and I could have been tired. Gave me a $860 refund but then took majority of it back. If you want to save money, don’t waste your time here. They did absolutely nothing to help and it cost me $2500. All I want is my money back (excluding the medicine) so I can put it towards her surgery that will actually benefit her. It seems like they don’t know what they are doing since they told me her right hip is out of place. Oh and the best part is they pushed the hip back into place before getting a full radiology report (which showed that she had hip dysplasia and that it was just gonna be unsuccessful regardless. Unethical and unprofessional. Asked to speak to the office manager and got a call from the doctor that was just going back and forth with me. Will not be coming back. If you guys cared, you would give me a full refund.

Experiencia negativa: Very unpleasant. Even though there were only 3 other clients there when I arrived, I was there for over 8 hours. My dog had a cough. After 8 hours I was finally given a partial bottle of cough medicine, 10 Prednisone 5mg tablets and, a partial bottle of Azithromycin. I was charged $992 . Almost $600 for an X-ray that couldn't even be read by staff there. It had to be sent out to be read. There's hardly enough medication in the bottom of the bottles to warrant the $50 and $60 charges for the medication. This place is poorly managed and they financially gouge you preying on the love you have for your pet. I don't recommend taking your pet to this place.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband had to rush one of our fur babies to AVECC for emergency care. The entire staff was incredibly caring and compassionate, lines of communication were clear. We unfortunately had to make a difficult decision to let our pup cross the rainbow bridge. A week after her passing, we received the sweetest card for our sweet angel, signed by all at AVECC, sending their condolences. Should we ever need an emergency vet, this is the only facility we will visiting. To all the staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking great care of our pup and for being so caring to us.

Experiencia positiva: I have gotten excellent service with previous visits when i had to put my fur babies to sleep. The last visit was not so good. I was told one price for the medication and charged another one. Also was supposed to receive 3 meds and only received 2. One at office and one script.

Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my dog in while I was in town from out of state. The entire staff was kind, caring, knowledgeable and extremely hard working! It was very busy when I was there. When it was my pet’s turn- they didn’t rush anything and were very supportive and informative. They saved my dog! Thank you guys so much! They kept me up to date constantly while she was hospitalized and were available for any questions or concerns throughout the entire process. I was kept completely informed, every step of the way. The Dr’s were knowledgeable and the whole team guided me throughout the entire (difficult) process. And a special thank you to Dawnell! She was extremely helpful and I really appreciate everything. The place is really clean as well. I would definitely recommend this place!

Experiencia fantástica: They were open on. Veterans Day. They were kind and although they could not help me with my pup’s Parvo, they referred me to vets who could help and did not charge me anything for the consultation. They were empathetic, and courteous, and professional.

Doctor was nice and took her time to speak with me and explain things. Everything was provided there and then no extra trips anywhere else. My girl is more active and being more herself now. (BTW I have a 2 year old Frenchie)

Experiencia fantástica: My Pittie Gracie started acting very strange late on Saturday night. She is normally a VERY active dog, but she seemed to be extra tired. When I checked her again, she was in what looked like to be in a seizure. My husband picked her up and we went straight to Arizona Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center. The people that worked there were wonderful, from the front desk to the medical staff. They were able to get her in and taken care of in a timely manner, especially considering how busy they were. I would highly recommend them for your animal's care, and your peace of mind!

Experiencia fantástica: About a week ago, my family had to make such a heartbreaking decision to euthanize our cat, Romo, a 10 yr old gray tabby we love very much. While it was a heartbreaking time, this entire team provided exceptional and compassionate care. They were gentle, respectful of our grief, gave us all the time and space we needed, and made the process as peaceful as possible for both us and our cat. They handled the entire procedure with the utmost respect and peace. The quiet, comfortable room they provided was a sanctuary during that painful time. This team understands the depth of the bond between a pet and their owner. The cost was extremely reasonable and affordable, which was such a huge stressor since it was very sudden and on a Sunday when we couldn’t get to our regular vet. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your professionalism and kindness, helping us say goodbye to our loved one with peace. We are eternally grateful!

Experiencia fantástica: My dog, Ares, had a bad allergic reaction and broke out in hives all over from head to paws. He was in so much discomfort and could barely open his eyes. We knew he needed an emergency dose of medication. He was seen in a reasonable time and handled with such care. They created a post visit plan and he is feeling much better. Thank you so much for all you do. The front desk team was welcoming and supportive. Thank you everyone for the professionalism, kindness, and dedication.

Experiencia negativa: Waited literal hours to be seen. Had to leave and come back when additional staff were present to avoid waiting hours longer. The issue was not determined and after no improvement we were seen at our regular vet. Literally diagnosed an injury to her back within 3 minutes. $500+ dollars without improvement is insane.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a good experience despite why we were there for my sick dog. From the moment we walked in the front desk girls were warm and welcoming and kind. The veterinarian that came to talk to us was professional and knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel comfortable with the prognosis. Thank you everyone who helped us.

There were no pressure tactics used and each step of Gabby’s care was explained in advance. She was cared for lovingly and carefully and as we could see, was not apprehensive or scared. Dr. Starks was thorough in explaining what could be happening with our dog, Thor, and clearly outlined her plan of action. I appreciated how she took the time to make sure we understood everything before proceeding. The facility itself is large and well-equipped to accommodate several large-breed dogs. Because Thor was possibly dealing with kennel cough, we were asked to wait in our vehicle for safety, which we understood. Before the examination, I completed the necessary paperwork inside the lobby, where they provided fresh cold water bottles and a coffee machine for pet parents — a thoughtful touch for those waiting for their precious pets. The staff and assistants, all female during our visit, were professional, gentle, and very attentive during Thor’s exam. Poor Thor was uneasy at first with all the touching and the new environment, as he’s mainly used to home and daycare, but the staff helped calm him and made him feel more comfortable. I’ve already recommended this facility to my favorite niece, who has two German Shepherds. The exam cost was very reasonable — under $200, not including optional services such as X-rays, which Dr. Starks clearly explained upfront. We are truly grateful for the care and compassion shown to our handsome large Lab mix, Thor. Experiencia negativa: Our dog was diagnosed with kennel cough by his vet. It turned into pneumonia. Our vet was booked out due to being short staffed. Decided he was not going to do well enough to wait for our appointment. Took him to this clinic, they tried to do a $650 emergency package 5 minutes after taking him back. Clear diagnosis present with medical history and the emergency vet still tried to push expensive testing. $4000 worth of tests and hospitalization. I agreed to the minimum- X-rays to confirm pneumonia, iv fluids to hydrate him and the antibiotics. A $1000 later he’s just fine recovering at home. Total SCAM.

Experiencia positiva: Great Staff. Long waits. I mean hours. They do tell you cost before any procedures. Negatives include bad communication with time. They do not value YOUR time. Expect to spend hours waiting. After 2,500 spent they wanted to try antibiotics at an additional cost of 250. Costco had same antibiotic for 70. That’s a little greedy. Everyone needs to make a buck but really more than 3x the price.

Experiencia negativa: Front office had time to laugh,gossip, and count peoples money while there were pets in the waiting room. They had time to play on their phones- with volume on. Watched them completely brush off the fact that someone’s pet had died and needed cremated - they only cared about the money. A kinda chubby Hispanic appearing woman and a red headed woman. No compassion or sympathy for animals. Someone called to check on their pet- they took their grand old time and seemed to not even know that pet existed. Our pet was left waiting in pain for over an hour before being seen. Our cat became critical during the wait so thanks. He died $650 just to be seen.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff and the doctors were amazing with our cat. He had surgery at our family vet earlier in the day and never woke up from the anesthesia. So we took him to AECCC Peoria and they acted quickly and were able to revive our cat with no lasting effects. They were all so kind and empathetic to the situation and genuinely seemed to care about our pet.

Experiencia fantástica: They took great care of our Kona girl! We brought her in around 10pm and we left around 12pm and she stayed overnight. They were very communicative throughout the process, the doctor called us at 130 am with the blood results and the morning doctor called us at 9 am this morning with an update that she was doing better. We brought our girl home today and she is feeling MUCH better, thank you!!!

Experiencia negativa: The WORST! This center will try to charge you for Things that your pet does not even need I do not feel they care about animals as much as they care about making money off the fact that you are in an emergency center. After being here for four hours, trying to determine why my dog was panting heavily they decided that maybe she has a UTI prescribed $311 worth of prescriptions. This was after I had already paid $999 for the exam, blood work, urine sample and whatever else they tacked on as being needed. I asked why the prescriptions were so expensive and she said we are an emergency room, everything costs a little bit more. I asked for just the prescription and had it filled at Fry’s for $41. If you have to take your pet here, get ready to be taken advantage of!

Dr Torres made sure that I understood my options and made sure I understood the conditions of his wound and procedure. This is not the first time I've been to this pet ER. I'm very glad they're not far from me.

Experiencia negativa: If you have the money, go ahead. I wouldn't recommend bringing your pet here. They have ZERO empathy for you or your pet, they just want to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. I understand that its an emergency and afterhours are always more, but its a shame that you have to spend THOUSANDS and they still require more from you! Plus our pet didn't get any better, we weren't given very helpful instructions after we took him home, they give you all the explanations like they goggled the symptoms and memorized them. We ended up going to a local vet hospital. There are plenty of different options, places like this are way too corporate and only care about what they can take advantage of. Go some place where they have more experienced vets and save yourself money and get the proper help for your animal!!
