I would’ve never thought this could happen to my poor kitty, and had they not checked, I’m afraid my ignorance would’ve costed additional pain and uncomfort. We are working to get her taken care of in the coming weeks. I have been to several vets and I’ve never had them explain to me the situation/diagnosis as well as this place. I think tenderness and transparency are extremely important, and Camelwest did just that. Looking forward to getting my baby back to peak health and I can’t thank this vet enough.

They took the time to explain everything clearly, and all the information I received was very helpful and reassuring. My dog is usually shy and nervous at appointments, but the staff was so patient and gentle with her. They didn’t give up and made sure both of us felt comfortable the entire time. Experiencia fantástica: Update 2025: Switched our creatures here after a dramatic falling out with Agua Fria Animal Hospital and it’s been such a great experience. We’ve been coming here for over a year now. As said before, everyone truly cares and I love that they don’t pressure you into unnecessary services. Dr. Sheek and Dr. Flick really know their stuff and have been lovely to work with. We found out one of our Danes has valley fever and due to the early screening, we’ve been told the condition is manageable. I’m really glad we found a vet who puts our doggos first.

The technician was so gentle with my hammy. Dr. McCready was so kind and attentive and answered all my questions. Highly recommend!

Experiencia positiva: When we arrived the Receptionist was a bit snippy. Vet Tech was fabulous! Dr. Jennifer was great. My dog got a thorough exam. They did a great job of cleaning up her wounds and draining the infection. Overall a good experience. We will visit again.

Experiencia negativa: this review is not for the store overall but primarily for the doctor. doctor pollard, although very kind she didn’t not provide proper information on what was being done to my cat. i was told “we are giving her fluids and meds” mind you i have never had an animal receive fluids so from the VERY uninformative and minimal information proved i was under the impression that the fluids would go in her arm, a technician came back in afterwards and said “oh she has a little water on her back let me get that.” it indeed was NOT water. it was her fluids spilling from the back of her neck. i wish that i would’ve been given more information on what would be done, where it was going, and what it would look like. this doctor and the technician that brought my car in needs to learn how to properly communicate what is being done and what to look out for so we aren’t left worried and confused.

I come here to get my rabbits nails trimmed and come here for wellness exams for my rabbits as well. The doctor is always gentle with my rabbits and shows that she cares, which makes me really happy to see. Even in emergency situations they have been the best. I will be coming back every time as long as the staff remains friendly, patient, caring and gentle with my pets as they always do.

Experiencia fantástica: I moved to Arizona on April 2021 last year and needed a good vet practice for my two senior pups. I found Camelwest Animal Hospital had very nice reviews and gave it a try. I'm very happy with the quality of the service. The front desk ladies are awesome always being very sweet, patient and very professional. Doctors and Vet Techs are knowledgeable and kind. We've been seeing Dr. Pollard and I'm deeply grateful for her humanity during all the process of my pup with cancer. She made concrete actions that made me feel there was always her support with us. Simply invaluable. I would definitely recommend them. Also, recommend that you have a look at their multiple wellness programs where you can cover multiple services for a decent monthly fee. Since usually these types of services are average expensive for everyone, this is actually a great idea to work towards prevention, your healthy pet and your peace of mind. And no, this is not an ad. It's just that it's relieving to have a place where you know that you can trust your babies to the team.

I had called my previous vet, West Olive Animal Hospital, three times on Oct. 8th and they never returned my calls. I called that same day and Camelwest worked me in the next day. And, a thank you goes to my niece, Bree, for recommending them. The picture is of me and my baby boy.

We have been going to Dr. McCready for several years and she is just so knowledgeable, friendly and efficient, I have never been disappointed. She doesn't push any services on you, she just explains for example, the insurance, certain medicines she thinks your dog might need, etc. I genuinely recommend her!

I got more than 17 healthy years to spend with her and I know its because of Dr McCready. She treated her like she was her own. My sister and many friends go to Camelwest and I only hear great things. They are happy with the care their furbabies get. I recommend them highly. They offer monthly paw plans which is a great and affordable deal. Choose from plans that fit your furbabies needs. Dr McCready is my main Dr but over the years, I have seen all the Dr's. I can say they all care, do their do diligence and have sympathy. Everyone including techs and front desk really listen to you and show compassion. I wish I could give more that 5 stars.

Experiencia fantástica: I took a stray 3 day. Old kitten that had been abandoned by its mother to camel west. I called and told them the story and they got him right in when I got there. They even put me in touch with someone who would take the kitten because of their affiliation with the kitten rescue organization. I said Goodbye to the cute kitten. Happy then it would be taking care of properly.

Experiencia fantástica: We LOVE this vet office. Dr. Flick has been taking care of our Olivia since we got her at 13 weeks old in May. She is very thorough and we never feel rushed. The vet assistants are always phenomenal. They are so different than where we used to take our previous pets to...rhymes with Letco. Dr. Flick did our little Olivia's spay and took such good care of her and was communicative via phone calls with everything that was going on. We appreciate the doctor and staff and will continue a seeking care for Olivia and future fur babies, for years to come.

Experiencia fantástica: My first time using Camelwest Animal Hospital for my pet bird Rocky and all went well. I was able to get a quick appointment to have his beak trimmed along with an initial wellness exam and they did a nice job.

Considering that it was basically an urgent care visit the price was very reasonable. The vet gave me several options and outlined the price for each option as she was discussing. That is greatly appreciated in today’s economy. I would definitely recommend this facility for your pet!

Experiencia negativa: I had to give a $50 reservation fee to make an appointment. Then I had something come up right as I was leaving the house, and arrived 10 minutes late at my appointment. I was going to have to pay an additional fee in order to keep my appointment. I don't mind paying top dollar for vet care. But I don't want to be nickel and dimed. That's not the kind of relationship I value.

I moved to north phoenix and I will still drive the 30-40 min to take my dog to her. She’s been our vet for over a year and she knows how to handle my anxious puppy. My dog was very sick and because of the care they gave my puppy she’s here with me today.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming to this clinic for a few years now. I use to be a VA, and have worked with two other clinics previously, and can say from what I've seen and experienced, these people are passionate about their work. Every time they are always so kind and sweet to my babies, and this showed doubly on Valentine's Day this year. We had to put down our sweet girl Moxxi, who had been battling with a severe case of HCM for 2 years (it came out of nowhere). We knew she was struggling and made the tough call to put her down. Dr. McCready had been working with me in her care, and considering how tough it is to put a beloved pet down, she made the process so much easier. The level of care and compassion was outstanding. She knew Moxxi got anxious and we wanted her to be as calm as possible to make this as easy for her as we could. Dr. McCready went out to our car to give Moxxi an injection to calm her down and was willing to wait for her to be completely relaxed in the process. She walked everyone through (my husband, mother and myself) through all the steps that will be taking place. She made sure Moxxi had absolutely zero distress and even told us how good she was when they were giving her her IV catheter. She walked us through the injections, gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes, was so empathetic the entire time and even helped us get ink spots of her nose and paws as well as fur clippings. She even worked with us regarding her remains. They work with AquaCrossings, which I can't speak highly enough of them either. We were able to get her remains back yesterday, including her preserved skull, which was beautifully done. I've seen quite a few euthanasias before, even aided in several, but this is up there on the list of smoothest and best passings I've witnessed. Death is never easy for anyone, but Dr. McCready made sure that Moxxi passed with as much ease and grace as anyone could ever hope for. She went without distress, everyone was able to be there and she told us step by step what would happen. I couldn't have asked for a better passing for our baby girl. Thank you so much Dr. McCready for all your help, your empathy, and your care. She also sees our rabbit Reggie(Sire Reginald Fluffybottom). He has to get dentals done every few months, and he isn't a fan to say the least. However, he always comes back fine and better than he was. Dentals on rabbits can be very stressful for them, any medical procedure can, but my old boy has been a champ the entire time he's been having them done. Again, the level of care is amazing. They are about a 30-40 minute drive away, but it's well worth it to get this level of service.

Experiencia positiva: Camel west Animal Hospital is very good as far as care for your pet goes. The front desk is polite and welcoming. I loved the time and care given to my pet. I would have given it 5 stars however, when it comes to any kind of fluids being displayed anywhere in the room that is a minus star in my book maybe two. We walked into the room and sat down. The tech started asking me questions no big deal. Then I noticed there were some droplets on the floor not sure what they were other than some kind of bodily fluid due to the coloration of the fluid (yellowish). Anyway I asked her if she could clean it which she did no issues....However, the tech did not wash her hands after cleaning up the fluid. She proceeded to assess my pet and touching him as well as taking his rectal temperature. Again did not wash her hands.....For all I know the previous pet had some kind of infection perhaps I am being overly dramatic but, I would have expected her to wash her hands after cleaning any type of fluid. After his yearly checkup was done. We left and I gave him a bath. Peace of mind!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Flick is an amazing veterinarian who provides excellent care to our fur babies. The nformation explained in great detail in regards to vaccines, preventative care and quality of life is the reason why our dogs are living to 16 years old and beyond. We are feeling so blessed to have found Dr. Flick and all associates and will continue taking our kiddos to this amazing practice. Oh did I mention they are all amazing surgeons that provide those pearly white canine teeth with high tech xray equipment to capture baseline photos to monitor enlarged hearts in our dog. This veterinarian office is just not an office they are family. Thank you again for loving ❤️ our dogs as much as we love them!

Just received licensing papers from Maricopa County. The Vet Ratted us out for our 2 dogs. One is already licensed but under a different name. Really?! They're vaccinated and everything. Our other dog was found on the street and is almost 14 years old and we haven't had issues with any Vet until now. We will keep going here but very annoyed.

Dr Pollock figured out the problem and cured them both. So grateful for her expertise and determination to solve this medical mystery. She was amazing!

Experiencia positiva: The clinic overall is very good, though I find it a bit expensive. They take great care of pets, and I’ve seen Dr. Sheek multiple times—she’s very kind and knowledgeable. However, during a recent visit with my dog for a second opinion, I saw Dr. Pollard for the first time. She was extremely rude in how she spoke. I’m unsure if she was having a bad day or if that’s just her usual demeanor. I can’t comment on her expertise since it was my first experience with her, but her attitude was definitely off-putting.

They were able to fit me in the same day both times, they are able to schedule timely follow ups and they are so kind and patient with us. They have an app that allows you to schedule appointments and text the office is you need. I love this practice and whole heartedly endorse them!

Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my 11 year old Chihuahua in for a swollen face. I did not have an appointment. I was just a walk in on a kind of emergency. It was also like 4:25 pm and they closed at 5pm. They fit me and my baby girl in with no problems. They were kind of loving with my dog. They talked me through everything and gave me my next steps and some prices. I will be going back.

They are great at answering their phones, and when there's an emergency, they do everything that they can to squeeze a vet visit for you. I went to several different vets before I found camel west, and the pricing for general surgeries is not price gouged like a lot of other areas. they also have a pet plan that you can purchase, which I found beneficial

Experiencia fantástica: These people are great! I've taken all 3 of my dogs there for exams, shots, and nail trims. They are so gentle and kind and you can sense that they genuinely love animals. They are also pretty affordable considering how expensive animal care can get. I highly recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff, every single person was friendly, helpful and they seemed to care..from the people working the phones and front desk ..to the assistants and even the doctor ,who took the time to explain everything to me concerning my dog. I never felt rushed and was shown every detail and had an explanation every step of the way ,including the price breakdown of treatments and their benefits. The establishment is clean and smelled nice to..I was a few minutes late because of traffic from an unexpected event and was still treated with kindness and respect. Also I had an emergency with my Sophie and they had a cancellation and had me in within an hour as a new patient! The prices were reasonable and they never pushed any of the treatments on me and followed up with a call and text to see how she was doing..best experience with any vet over the past 30 plus years!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible, terrible experience with this animal clinic. My sweet girl passed away earlier this year, and I requested a foot print of her before she was cremated. After weeks of silence, I finally called the clinic back and asked what the status was on the foot print. The receptionist had the audacity to say "You've probably realized by now something went wrong." I had no idea! I called just to follow up, but it turns out they had made a mistake and didn't bother to update me on what was going on until I called myself. They did not get the foot print before my girl was cremated, due to the "paperwork being lost", and waited until I called to be transparent about their error instead of calling me on their own. They offered to have a custom picture painted of her instead as an apology, but after 5 months I've failed to receive this painting. I've followed up multiple times, and at this point I give up. It was been so disappointing to work with this clinic and I do NOT recommend anyone bringing their pets here.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr McCready and the staff at Camelwest Animal Hospital are amazing. Dr McCready’s wealth of knowledge, experience, and compassion are evident in the care she provides. I trust her judgment for diagnosis , treatment, and her practice. She’s done wonders for my cat, who first came to her as a feral with a mound of infections and a degloved tail. With routine visits and directed at home care she and her team helped him come back from near death. He’s lived a very happy life thanks to her. It’s been several years and we brought him back for some illness with an unknown cause. She helped us understand what is going on and walked us through our options. No matter the outcome of what’s to come for my sweet boy I am so grateful she is our guide.

Experiencia fantástica: Overnight my dog came with a respiratory virus and the following morning the office was able to fit us in. While I had already scheduled an appt online, they were able to find an earlier time due to her illness. Everyone from the front reception, asst checking us in and the doctor provided exceptional customer service. The doctor called the next day to check in and spent quality time answering my questions. Overall, I would highly recommend Camelwest Animal Hospital!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Best Animal Hospital, as a pet owner of over 20 years, this place has been by far the best! I don't feel scared walking in thinking if I'm going to get ripped off. I know their #1 priority is the animals not how much they can drain the pocket book. I'm extremely grateful how they took care of my dog he needed surgery and Dr. Sander performed his surgery, I was updated and she answered all my questions, I felt comfortable dropping him off. The procedure went excellent no complications. They followed up the next day to ask how Marley was doing. Thank you Camelwest Animal Hospital and entire team, from the receptionist to all the workers in the back.

I highly recommend this place.

Experiencia fantástica: This animal hospital was amazing, I wish all human hospitals were like this! Andrea was super positive and had an uplifting energy, she went above and beyond to make sure my dog Bruce got seen as soon as possible. Dr. McCready was very knowledgeable, thorough, and understanding. She took her time explaining everything to me and listening to my concerns. It’s sucks being worried about your pet’s health and having to take them in, but they made it the best experience possible given the circumstances and eased my concerns. This is the only animal hospital I will ever take my pets to from now on.

Experiencia fantástica: We had moved to the area and needed to find a new vet for our parrot. This was the only place we could find without a very long drive. But even with that, I still would reccomend this place if you have a bird in the west valley. Dr. Pollard is so nice and attentive and just loved talking to us to get to know us. Our little one seemed very calm and ready to be there.
