Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my cat to this vet for the last 2 years since I got her. The front desk staff is friendly and quick to check you in. The vet techs are polite, patient and very knowledgeable. My cat doesn’t like the vet and gets very shy when I bring her there, but they are always so good and gentle with her.. I recommend this vet to everyone!

They all spoke sweetly and calmly to her which helped put her at ease. She has been having some hip issues lately and after tests, X-rays, etc, Dr. Fullenwider reviewed all of our options and her findings which made me feel at ease with the treatment. My Elsa is already feeling better!

I honestly did not think I would be able to do it. However, with the overwhelming love and compassion from the TOAH staff, techs and doctors, Milo and I made it through, and he is as happy as can be!! I just want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone at TOAH for helping get through this very tough period and for continuing to take such good care of my dog Milo and my cat Amy! :o)

Experiencia negativa: I have taken both my animals here for years. I’ve never had any issues until this year and today was my final straw. I adopted a dog and took her 6/16 to get her shots and check up to get her fixed. I provided the paperwork for her from previous owners. Today I was going through them and noticed they forgot to give her a Bordetella shot…. No big deal… went in and they got her in right away! When I went to check out they charged me a tech fee. I asked for it to be waived because we have been in 4 times and no one looked at her chart to make sure she had everything covered. They refused. If this was our only incident I would have let it go. But it wasn’t… we sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes for the doctor at every visit, the staff is more concerned with their food orders for the day (I know this because they were on the computer looking at what crumble cookie they were getting) instead of greeting my dog and completely ignored her… BOTH my dogs ended up in the emergency vet after going for check ups last month… This leads me to believe they are not properly sanitizing the office or exam rooms. I received an email that my older dog is showing kidney failure on his most recent tests.. no call to explain, no follow up, an email! If you’ve gotten this far in this loooong winded review I PLEAD with you to take your dogs somewhere that the staff cares. They are our babies and are treated like a chore at this clinic.

Experiencia negativa: My friends Jean and Charles brought their 13 yr old Kitty in for a check up because their Kitty all of a sudden had no appetite and acting very sick. After blood work and X rays I am sure the experienced Doctor saw their Kitty was consumed with cancer and instead of telling them the truth they actually hid some of the X rays and prescribed medicine and gave the couple fale hope and sent them home with the medicine, their Kitty and never said anything about the cancer. They charged them $800 and send them home with a dying cat. The people working at this place knew the cat would probably not make it through the night. Kitty was suffering all night and they called the Tusawilla Oaks Animal Hospital and told them their Kitty was NOT better and seemed like she was dying. They had the nerve to say well yes she has cancer throughout and bring her in with $140 and we will put her down. What kind of people are these? My friends are overwhelmed with grief and asked if they could pay in payments at first...This was all about money with Zero regard for the Kitty or feelings of Kitty's parents. Shameless, heartless, unprofessional. Go some place else that actually cares about your pet and you.

She assisted me with placing an order through the online pharmacy, and as always, she was so patient and kind. She has helped me many times before, and every interaction with her has been fantastic. She always greets me with a smile and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. It's clear that she’s passionate not only about animals but also about helping pet owners like myself. I highly recommend this hospital.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking my two dogs and cat here for two years now. They always keep in touch and follow up with the issues my pets have. The online app and pharmacy are truly so easy and useful. They helped me say goodbye to my Delilah that I have had since she was a year old and made to 14. I called in the morning because she was having issues standing and they got her in within the hour. She perked up a bit but by the afternoon she had an extreme decline and I called back in. They were so helpful and got her back in at 5:00 that evening. They helped us both through the worst as we decided it was time for her to go. They are truly kind and were very thorough and professional during the whole ordeal. It was the best anyone could hope for during such an awful thing. All of this was of course the day before hurricane Milton was set to hit us head on. I am beyond appreciative of what they did for us.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Dr. McPherson. 10 years ago I moved to Florida and my Little Prince started seeing Dr. McPherson. my little prince had medical Dr. McPherson always takes the time to explain in detail. my Prince has been doing well and he’s turning 14. In addition, staff is always very friendly and helpful Thank you, Dr. McPherson and staff.

Experiencia negativa: Refused to provide any info on pricing. I felt I was being set up for a bait and switch. Just to get me in and sell me on a big package. I wanted to make sure the elective PRP was something I could afford before I committing to driving over an hour to see them w an elderly dog. I asked is this a few hundred or over a thousand and per their phone script she refused to give even a ball park. Sad. Either that or they have never sold a PRP package bc she said “I have no idea” and refused to ask anyone else.

Dr F and her crew have been taking care of all my animal antics:) I have brought squirrels, birds, rabbits, and probably other critters here over the years that I have come across in my travels that need help. Mostly though...it's the dogs that I have been blessed with. I wouldn't feel as confident anywhere else. Bravo, team TOAH!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been with Dr. McPherson at Tuskawilla Oaks for at least 20 years and many dogs. She is very smart, compassionate, and never rushed when with me. I have seen other Veterinarians in her absence and knew my fur babies were in good hands. Their facilities is very clean and the staff, front and back are friendly, professional, efficient, and love on the animals.

Experiencia fantástica: We have taken our puppy to a few different animal hospitals until we found Tuscawilla. They take the best care of Maverick! They always remember him and the doctor really cares. Unfortunately it’s a little bit of a drive for us but the level of care is worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: These folks have taken care of my Boxers for 2 generations! The most compassionate critter docs and staff that I've ever experienced! Like family! Be on top of requests to refill meds, I've run into trouble using outside pharmacy's and scripts being called over. Everyone's busy not placing blame, but our pets sometimes depend on these meds being given consistently.

Experiencia negativa: They are in no hurry to help your pet!! Went to this vet for years and years with several pets. Took my dog there this morning who was peeing blood. Long story short, they couldn't help and referred me to a specialist for an ultrasound- after charging me almost $700. Specialist they referred me to was closed for 4 days. I found an emergency clinic that could help but TOAH refused to email over the lab results and records I had paid for so the emergency clinic could get to work on my pet. Don't get stuck waiting for the staff at this vet's office. They are rude and your pet will suffer!!

Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed with my visit today. This was our third visit with our new puppy at this clinic. At our last appointment, we were told by Dr. Crawford to swing by in 2 weeks so our dog could get his 2nd de-worming. We did not need to make an appointment but just come by and someone would test him and give him his 2nd de-worming and also weigh him so he could get his nexgard plus tablet. I had also received an email today with instructions from Courtney a vet tech to come either before 12 or after 2 today. We got there after 4. We told the 2 women working at the reception desk why we were there and were met with very unfriendly faces. I do not know either one of their names but neither one was eager to help. One was a younger lady with a tattoo behind her ear and the other an older lady with cute bright sneakers. The older lady told me that they were very busy and they could have someone see my dog but I would have to wait a while. She did not know how long the wait would be. We waited until almost 5.35 p.m. and someone came out with medication for me to de-worm my dog? I was confused? What had I been waiting for all this time? I was told someone would see my dog. I was so upset and felt like I was in some kind of a circus act or twilight zone. I told the young lady with the tattoo that I had been told that my puppy would be tested again and then given the medication. She said, "well thats something you should have asked the girl that gave you the medication"? I said, can you call her back here so I can ask or can I speak to the Manager? A few minutes later another lady came out who I am guessing was the Manager and apologized for what I had been told and for all the confusion. She said that she was not sure why Dr. Crawford told me to just swing by and not make an appointment. I left the clinic upset that those two ladies that were working at the reception desk did not even try to be kind or considerate to me or my 4 month old puppy. Communication and customer service skills are lacking at this clinic.

Experiencia negativa: I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with TOAH. My recent encounter has compelled me to share my experience as a warning to others. When my dog displayed symptoms resembling a cold, I diligently followed the clinic's automated appointment system, leaving a voicemail as instructed. To my surprise, the next day, they classified it as an emergency and imposed an additional fee, penalizing me for adhering to their guidelines. Upon arriving at the clinic, the persistent 45-minute wait for appointments became a standard, causing significant inconvenience. During the consultation, a comprehensive treatment plan was proposed, encompassing antibiotics, cough suppressant tablets, and nose drops. However, the provided itemized pricing list overlooked the heart guard cost, which the technician only informed me about AFTER I approved the plan, resulting in an unexpected $40 charge. This incident served as the tipping point for me, following a previous experience where I sought a quote for my dog's neuter procedure. The clinic insisted on an office visit, incurring costs, and subsequent blood work before disclosing the neuter procedure's price. To my dismay, the initially quoted amount of nearly $1,100 included an undisclosed stem cell bank fee. Even after its removal, the revised cost remained significantly high at nearly $800. These experiences have left me with the impression that TOAH prioritizes financial gains over transparency and honest practices. While the quality of service is acceptable, the clinic's excessive focus on fees makes it unsuitable for budget-conscious pet owners. I encourage others to explore alternative veterinary options.

Experiencia fantástica: We've been to many of the vets in the area. Usually becoming dissatisfied for one reason or another and leaving. We've been bringing our pets, and TOAH for almost 8 years. They are fantastic. All of their staff are caring, friendly and knowledgeable. They can always find a way to fit us in for a last minute visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going here for years and I love the staff and veterinarians that have helped my pups. They are very considerate and always provide the best care. I found and rescued a dog, that was dumped and took him here to get checked. They provided excellent care and also donated some flea meds, antibiotics and a nail trim. Thank you so much TOAH for being amazing and taking the best care of my babies

Experiencia fantástica: We love this vet! We came to this office for a second opinion on a surgery for one of our dogs. Dr. Taylor was so nice and consoling to our dog and our needs as puppy parents. The surgery was a success and Dr. Taylor was great. He would personally call to see of our dog was doing and if we needed anything. We now take both of our dogs here and recommend them to all of our friends and family. There are also a couple office cats that walk around in the back. Punky is our favorite, they shave the cat like a lion and the front desk will give you treats to feed to the cats if requested. A great bonus, they match online prices for pet medications!

Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my fur baby to a vet and mine was not available immediately. I searched and found this establishment and was able to be fitted in first thing in the morning. I cannot express how amazing the techs, reception, and Dr. LaKeisha are! They explained everything to me in the step by step treatment plan created for my dog. They explained how the medications would work and answered any questions that I had without hesitation or aggravation. I highly, highly recommend them. The pricing to take my dog in to see them on the first visit was very reasonable and I will definitely bring him back and any future animals I may have!

Experiencia negativa: Never again. Rude staff and unreasonable, inaccurate charges. "Angel" at the front desk is adversarial and loud, constantly interrupting. Find consideration and compassion elsewhere, you won't find it here.

Experiencia positiva: They seem too busy… they never return my calls while I worry all day about my pup. Three separate instances I have called them at 7:30 am with an update as instructed by the vet. I wait till after 4pm with no call back on what action I need to take. I finally have to call them. Not the kind of vet I am looking for.

Experiencia fantástica: I just move to Orlando, I am happy with their service, emotional support and respect, professionalism, my cat is doing better. I hope we can keep this veterinary clinic, the only thing was the price, it was higher than what I used to paid in my old town, at least by half. With a good insurance or a finance I will keep them of course.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Janis Fullenwider is the best, she has been my vet for almost 20 years. My dog feel very comfortable around her. She does a great job discussing the issues and the course of treatment for your pet and understands they are also part of your family. I must admit I do prefer Dr Fullenwider over the other vets there. As a note they have become a bit pricey, but are still a good value relative to other vets in the area.

Experiencia negativa: In our time at TOAH with our kitten, Dr. Crawford has insisted on treatment after treatment without properly testing in between. She has ordered for deworming multiple times without doing fecal checks. The last time I was in, I asked her to please check the sample as the office had now asked me to bring one in twice and it was not tested. She refused. Our rescue kitten's records show that she entered that he tested positive for roundworms at that appointment. But without any testing, how could that be possible? Crawford also diagnosed my kitten with toxoplasmosis without doing any of the required testing, charged me for multiple medications, and told me I would need two additional appointments, coming out to SIX total just to get my rescued kitten vaxxed and dewormed from the streets. Unfortunately, after multiple questionable decisions made by Crawford, I called to get the opinion of another vet. They told me to get my kitten to another vet and not return to TOAH immediately. They explained that it was apparent that Crawford was throwing out scary diagnoses and calling for unnecessary treatments in order to make more money. Crawford could also benefit from improved tableside manners, as snickering, questioning routine treatments from other vets, and giving attitude towards genuine concerned questions is not the way to keep patients coming back. That being said, this facility looks nice, but they do a lot of questionable things. They make you sign an invoice to agree to pay for services your pet has not been screened for yet and don't offer an itemized receipt when you leave. They called my family member on speaker phone in the lobby to verify that she knew me and that I was supposed to have this animal, despite her being at the last appointment WITH ME. Their recordkeeping is all over the place, telling me my cat was dewormed once, then four times, and then their app showing they won't test for deworming success until 2024. I highly recommend that you find another place to take care of your animals. My problems have been communicated by both myself and my mother-in-law, a regular patient of theirs, and they have made no efforts to make it right.

Clean, efficient, and most importantly caring. With routine check ups and post surgical visits, I cannot recommend any other vet before TOAH.

Experiencia negativa: Twice I have taken my cat there. First was for a Shot/Check up. He picked up a cold from there. He was sneezing and not feeling good the next day. My cat then passed the cold onto my other cat. My cats have never been sick. I had two Sick Cats for two weeks. Then I took him back the next time for his shot. Very next day he started ripping his hair out where the injection site was. There’s some kind of infection where the the injection site was. I Make an appointment for them to Check him out for it. I can’t get hin in the carrier. I called to tell them I was trying to get him in. The girl that answered the phone said “If you’re past 10 min late there’s a late fee”. Ha! Well, I couldn’t get the cat in the cage. Guess what she asks me then??! “Well would you like to pay the cancellation fee now?” Absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend this place to anyone! Never going back!

Experiencia fantástica: I used to take my lab here 18 years ago when I lived on this side of town and now that I have my frenchie I drive 45 min to see Dr McPherson! I trust her knowledge and experience 100%. She is fantastic! Adding pics of them below. My lab passed in 2014 and I got my frenchie in late 2022.

I arrived with my little dog suffering from episodes of coughing and choking, and they quickly took her in, made the correct diagnosis and prescribed the necessary medication. To complete the excellent service, today, 2 days after the incident, I received a call from the hospital to find out about my dog's health status. With that attitude, they have just gained my trust and deep admiration! Would highly recommend and would give 10 stars if I could!

Experiencia fantástica: I wish we would have found this practice earlier. The whole team were at all times professional, compassionate, and competent. When it came to the last year of life and ultimate euthanasia of our 19-year-old cat, Dr. McPherson was the voice of reason in the storm and had a tender touch. On euthanasia day, nurse Vanessa was so sympathetic and so kind that I felt like I was with a family member. She worked with me through every step of the process with genuine compassion for both me and my ol' kitty. Even after my cat passed, there was Vanessa lovingly stroking my cat's head, which is exactly what I needed to see to accept the transition to rainbow bridge.

We’ve had such great experiences with all aspects of this vet that we’ve now switched our 12 year old mutt over to this vet. The TOAH team is exceptional, from the front desk to Dr. McPherson & Dr. Fullenwider. Charges and care plans are always clearly explained. The entire kennel team is a pleasure. Thank you Isabella, Kyla, and Rachael for always helping me schedule day play/boarding and taking care of our high energy pup. Thank you Amy, Sierra, and Victoria, too, for your patience and care for our puppy. We love the convenience of the TOAH app, and all the little touches that make each visit unique or personal, like the “boarding report card.” We recently boarded our Belgian here during our wedding and we didn’t have to think twice about the decision. The TOAH kennel put together the sweetest card from our pup. Highly recommend this vet for your pets!

TOAH has been such a great help in getting her on the right treatment plan months ago when she was sick and she’s made a full recovery since June. I felt very safe leaving her in their hands when we were not able to go inside due to Covid restrictions. 10/10 recommend. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. I appreciate all their help.

My dog has behavioral issues where he can get a bit aggressive when he's scared. They were so good about reading his body language, and earning his trust, they didn't have to muzzle him at all for the entire appointment. We got our concerns quickly managed, and he's got a new favorite place to be cared for. He's sound asleep on the floor in the exam room he's so comfortable!

Experiencia fantástica: We've been visiting Tuskawilla Oaks Animal Hospital for roughly 20 years with multiple pets. We have had regular checkups and those unexpected my dog ate things he shouldn't have visits. Even unexpected injury visits. They are well equipped to help you and your animal friends. When it was time to carry our "old man" yellow lab across the rainbow Bridge, it was a very sad day for our family. TOAH, was so very helpful to us during the planning of this transition, we are so grateful to the staff and doctors for being there when we all needed a helping hand. They even took the tone to send us a beautiful sympathy card that made me ugly cry, they are so thoughtful.

Experiencia positiva: Edited: I talked to the manager of the practice. She confirmed that typically medical follow up questions are $40 via the online app. My situation was different since the rash was the same and there wasn't a new issue. I shouldn't have been directed to the app. So I guess just know this is their procedure if you bring your pet here. They get three stars because Dr. Mc.Pherson is amazing. They dont get 5 because now they implemented a new policy where if you bring your pet in, you need to pay $40 to ask a medical follow up question. My cat had a rash that did not get better with their medications. I called to ask what the vet wanted me to do next. Bring him back or try another medication. They told me they wont answer that unless I pay the $40 fee in the app or bring him in for a full fee appt.
