Fantastic experience: They were so good with my sweet cat!

Positive experience: I took my nine year-old dog here for a dental cleaning under anesthesia. The staff was very friendly, informative, and polite. Everything was explained very well. My only complaint is that I regularly wait 20 to 40 minutes for the vet past my appointment time.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! They are extremely knowledgeable and patient. They answered every questions and responded very quickly.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend coming to this clinic, ever. They use to be good when they were Animal Cracker, but they’ve gotten worse. I took my cat in on Jan 26 and they acted like her situation wasn’t urgent. She has sensitive gums and couldn’t eat her kibble, so I’ve had to get her wet food. Rather than recommending taken her somewhere more urgent, they just gave me some pain meds for her and said she should be okay until Thursday for surgery. Well, I gave her the pain meds as recommended and she got worse. Her mouth started to bleed and since then she has refused to eat or drink anything. I tried calling them back and the receptionist was like “we can’t do anything for her until Thursday, so just take her to an emergency care”, and then hung up. I took her to another clinic instead and they’ve been more compassionate. When I called back and cancelled the surgery for Thursday, again, the receptionist didn’t care and said, “okay”, and hung up. If this is how they deal with pets who need more urgent care and don’t act like they care, then I’m not going back. Update: they also gave me Prednisolone, which is not a pain relief medication… IT’S A STEROID!! So they also lied to me about the medication she supposedly needed! I don’t trust this place anymore.

Fantastic experience: I thought they were very friendly. They took time to answer my questions and go over what to expect with a new puppy. They gave us a few referralson trainers. Overall very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Been taking emery there since she was a puppy. First there was some issues but they were worked out and the since then the staff has been amazing and services they provide for their clients are top notch. I would recommend them to everyone with a fur baby.

Fantastic experience: We changed to West Jordan Animal clinic in 2023 front a nearby competitor. I have been very impressed with the Drs here. We have Doxies and one with some special issues. Dr Park and team have been so awesome. They are very attentive and have done a lot to help my fur babies. I would hands down recommend them any day of the week.

Fantastic experience: We love all the vet tech staff they are so good with my puppy. They are so patient to answer all my questions and allow my kids to help with their puppy at the appointments.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment for our Boston for next week, but we had found something wrong with his nail and the staff was able to fit me in same day, towards the end of the day to fix our Dex as well as give his annual exam. A huge thank you to the staff and Dr. Nemelka for getting us in right away. So thankful!!! Pic of our Dexter. His eye and paw is already looking better today.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience. They don't push for costly services or medication but still offer great care and my pets are healthy.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here and so glad we decided on this vet. We were very nervous bringing our nervous cat who hates car rides- they got us in and out within 25 min! We had a health concern and our vet was able to talk us through our options and made sure to explain everything well so we knew what was going on. We will be going back!

Positive experience: Most of the staff was AWESOME! The vet did NOT acknowledge me or anything I had to say. I greeted her & also told you thank you so much at the end of our visit with her, no response back. Serious lack of common courtesy.

Negative experience: One of the front office assistants was curt and then the vet pushed me to do all these things I have absolutely zero desire to do. I scheduled a cat teeth cleaning, not a surgery. I’ll be reporting them to BBB. The tone of the response to this review exemplifies exactly the unapologetic, extortionate attitude they have toward the public. The vet told me Jasper would “need” all this unnecessary bloodwork for nothing. It seems that the vet told me “some tartar, but only on the back teeth” but apparently suddenly now Jasper has this grave dental disease. No one said anything about grade 2 or 3 dental disease at any time so either they are extremely negligent or extortionists - you pick. I’ll make sure they don’t suddenly “edit” their story by changing their response so here is a screenshot. I certainly now believe there is such a thing as Big Vet after interacting with this corrupt establishment.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! They take excellent care of my animals and go above and beyond to help in any way they can. They explain everything in detail before they go ahead with any procedure. My cat peed all over herself inside her carrier on the way to the vet yesterday. They washed her with dry shampoo and gave me a towel to take her home in. I was so appreciative of the extra care.

Fantastic experience: The vet tech and the doctor were both very knowledgeable around German Shepherd temperaments. They were patient and let my dog get used to them in the room before approaching her. Did even through out the Idea of trying to mussel her. The vet tech gently held her head to her chest and calmed her while the doctor examined her. Thank you for taking such good care of my fur baby visit was under $200 which is much less than I expected.

Fantastic experience: Animal Crackers Veterinary Clinic has been our choice for our family for many years. We’ve always had a good experience there. We've had many questions questions and always received complete answers. We have to travel a bit to get there, but it has been worth it.

Positive experience: Just took my little furball in for her (3-year) annual checkup. The staff was incredibly hospitable and handled her with great care — which is really the one thing I always hope for when it comes to vet visits. They were also very accommodating. The price was a bit on the higher side, but honestly, it was expected, so no complaints there.

The last few days have been very difficult for us and the staff has gone out of their way to help. Very understanding and extremely knowledgeable people! Fantastic experience: Although the news we got about our cat is terminal they were still very nice and helpful. The cost was below what I thought it would be and I will be taking my other pets there.

Negative experience: Very unhelpful. It was suggested over the phone that my pomeranian should be seen because he could need something for his bad breath, it could be bacteria infection ect. That being said I paid 122.00 to be told he need a teeth cleaning, that 122 did include a vaccination. It was an unhelpful visit and waste of money.

Fantastic experience: Appointment went well. Dr Nemelka appeared to be genuinely interested in my dog. He showed professionalism and answered in detail my question. He also made a follow up call to my home to share lab results.

Fantastic experience: Came here after brookside closed. Great vet office. Staff is all super friendly, they really help you understand every part of the process while your there to help ensure you and your pet feel safe and comfortable. Dr. Ross Anderson is fantastic and I definitely recommend him as a vet.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment for my dog. I was pleasantly surprised. The vet was awesome and the staff was great. I was expecting the charges would be very expensive to my surprise the charges were very good. Now I know where I am taking my dog in the future. Thank you so much for the great care

Fantastic experience: The team here was so incredibly kind to me and my dog. They were able to squeeze us in same day and gave a heads up on longer wait times due to the last minute appointment . They designated our own room right away so we could intermittently go outside as we wanted. The wait time was nothing crazy and treatment was very affordable. Dr Park was so gentle and informative and we left with a piece of mind and in much better shape.

Fantastic experience: They’re getting five stars because of how quickly they acted to help out my puppy. I would have liked to been informed through the process but I am assuming he was priority. It was pricey, however so is anything thats an emergency. Because of their quick response he is still doing great.

Fantastic experience: Been to this vet clinic a few times now. This most recent visit was bringing my wifes cats in. We both had an outstanding visit with the vet and the clinic. These are truly great people that not only care about their business but our animals and the relationship between the two. I have had nothing but great, upfront, and entirely honest communications with this vet and clinic. I can't recommend this clinic much higher than i have been. However if there's a way to recommend them more I'm beyond ready too. They are that great to work with. A GIGANTIC thank you to everyone at this clinic!!

Fantastic experience: I ended up at West Jordan Veterinary Hospital after our usual vet wouldn't accommodate seeing our dog before a family trip that was two weeks out. I reached out to West Jordan Veterinary Hospital and they got our dog in within 2 days. Graham Hookano was our veterinarian. He was amazing! My dog doesn't like his ears or paws touched, and no one gets to look in his mouth. Dr. Hookano got on the ground and worked with our 90lb fur baby through all his fears. They distracted him for all of his shots, and recommended what tests and treatments should be done for our next visit. We have a new vet! I've already told my previous vet to send our dog's records to West Jordan VH.

Negative experience: On Tuesday Morning Feb. 11 at 10:12am my phone records show that I called this office, and spoke to someone for 2 minutes and 58 seconds. The purpose of the call was to make an appointment for my dog and cat for shots and exam. I was given an appt. for Thurs. Feb. 13 at 11:30 am. When I showed up for that appointment however, they had no record of my calling and no appointment. Further, I was treated as if I surely was the one who had screwed up somehow. It was finally offered to "fit me in" when they could If I could wait at least 1/2 hour. I asked if I could at least get their vaccines while they were there and they refused that too. I have gone to the vets at this location for over thirty years. Consideration for their clients time has never been a big concern of theirs, but I put up with it because I liked the vets for most part. But at 73, I'm over it. A little consideration goes a long way.

Fantastic experience: Our first visit here was unfortunately because our family dog was terribly ill. They got us in the same day. My normally nervous dog was at ease with all of the staff. They had such a nice, calm demeanor and you could feel that truly care about animals. I would recommend them to anybody, healthy or sick! They were all fantastic! This will be our new vet office, long term!

Fantastic experience: It's been a year since my Tinker kitty crossed the rainbow bridge. It was this hospital that treated my kitty throughout the 10 years I had her. I recently acquired a new kitty from the humane society. The sweetest kitty ever. She acquired an eye infection and quickly made an appointment with West Jordan Veterinary hosital! The staff, techs and Veterinarian are absolutely without a doubt animal lovers, as they treated my kitty with so much love and care. Almost as though she were their own. I highly recommended this place for your pets veterinary care!

Fantastic experience: I have 4 dogs and have been going to competitor for years. One of my babies, has had some severe allergy symptoms for the last two years. I’ve spent thousands at our previous vet as well as emergency vets trying to figure out unfortunately what is wrong with my poor guy only to feel as if they were trying to sell me on procedures, not curing or fixing or diagnosing what was wrong with my little guy. At the referral of a friend I chose to try out West Jordan. Animal clinic/animal crackers specifically Dr Graham. We’ve only been for two visits so far however, the attention the staff and his office has given my dog and the concern to try and figure out what is ailing this poor guy. As everything else says he’s a healthy dog. Thank you so much for caring for my little guy as much as I do definitely will be bringing our other animals to you guys. And referring anybody that will give your office a try.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love it here. Dr. Graham is the most empathetic veterinarian I have ever met. He is kind, compassionate and intelligent. He knows how to hold heart space for animals and their owners. Thank you Dr. Graham for your kindness, it touched my heart, it made my grief feel seen. I recently lost my soul dog Waffles and we went in because our other dog was struggling with the loss. Dr. Graham is really good at what he does. Thank you again.

The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable and Dr. Park really listened to my concerns and gave me clear information about my cat’s health issues. I also really appreciate that costs were known up front and there was no attempt to upsell or give my cat treatments she did not need. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I've gone to WJ Vet Hospital twice this year; once for a general check up on my very precious senior kitty Lilith, and again for the recommended blood panel I was unable to afford the first time. Scheduled an appointment yesterday to get the blood test done today (nice and fast!) and everything was standard, kitty was stressed since she doesn't like leaving the house, but the staff was gentle with her and she didn't seem too panicked. We talked about her blood panel results for hyperthyroidism, which were thankfully negative, talked about getting her shots updated, and then were going to try to manually express her bladder to get a urine sample and check on her suspected kidney disease. Well, when she came back from having her bladder expressed (or, attempting to-- she apparently didn't have anything in the tank!) I immediately noticed she seemed... Off. She let out a little yowl and seemed super tight and tense, which set some alarm bells off in my head. The staff didn't seem too concerned for a moment; old cat was probably just freaked out! But when they put her down and she began to do this weird wobbly waddle/walk, they started getting concerned too. At this point, I was starting to panic a bit-- and when my cat started panting Dr. Park(I believe that's her name) and her assistant immediately jumped into action and took her back to get her on oxygen. I guess my senior kitty cat had had enough that day with being poked and prodded, and had entered a 'shock' sort of state. (Her notes said she was hypotensive.) Dr. Park's assistant was very reassuring and came to let me know after about 15 minutes of crushing anxiety that she was still on oxygen and would probably be okay, and that they were going to take some X-rays to make sure nothing happened internally. Honestly, I was expecting it to go either way and worried that my little babies heart would give out or something. That's always the fear with senior pets and excess stress, right? They didn't give her back to me until her blood pressure had stabilized and she was no longer in that shock-like state, and though we talked about updating her vaccines and doing a few other things on her, the Doctor advised against it this session. Better safe than sorry! They didn't want to stress her out that badly again. Once Lili was acting more like her normal, skittish self, I let her go hide in her crate and the Doctor informed me what they found on the x-rays (nothing to do with her little episode! I guess she's a senior drama queen!). Both times I've visited, though certain medications are suggested they're never pushy about it and are very understanding about tight finances. I wasn't charged for the x-rays since that was a sudden mid-tier emergency situation, which I'm very thankful for as that reassured me that she'd be fine if I took her home after. The Doctor and assistant both reassured me that they'd add a note to her file that she was to be handled by them as little as possible to avoid triggering another episode during my future visits. I'm also grateful they chose to do the vaccines a different day for her wellbeing, it shows me they're not just trying to make a quick buck-- they put my kitty and her health first! I'm very grateful they were so thorough with her and jumped into action quickly. This cat is my everything and if my vet trip where I was just trying to make sure my kitty is having the healthiest, happiest life possible despite her health issues turned into a death sentence I would've been beside myself. I appreciate how reassuring they were and that they went the extra mile to take her x-rays and make sure nothing internally had gone wrong, it was really sweet. They could have just handed her back to me once she was stable and let me go home, but then I would've been anxious the whole week! I can safely say that I really like this vet. Lili is still a bit frazzled and doesn't want to eat due to the stressful day, but she got lots of cuddles and a tablespoon of straight-up gloopy kitten treats. I'm so glad she'll be just fine.

Fantastic experience: Our dog Luna had an ear infection. We were able to schedule a visit for early the next morning. She was treated and provided medications. Friendly, courteous and efficient.

Fantastic experience: We have brought our pups since the very beginning and we have always been happy with the care we have gotten. We just had both dogs in for surgery and they both are doing so well. Our Bowser had his nares done and I have seen some not look so great afterward and his look so amazing and we are so happy with the work Dr. Park did on our boys. She is such a great and caring doctor and we are so happy this is the place we chose for our pet care. We cannot thank you guys enough.

Negative experience: How do you give zero stars? Came by this afternoon to pick up a momento made for us when they euthanized our dog a few weeks back. The Office is full of staff decorating for Halloween, but I'm told they are closed and I need to come back. I WONT BE BACK AND NEITHER WILL ANY OF MY PETS. The new ownership of this place should be ashamed of themselves. Zero stars....would not recommend....plenty of other great vets you can go to. This is not one of them.

Fantastic experience: Great, friendly vet and staff. I took my 12 yr old cat in for something that concerned us. The vet and staff were very gentle with her. They explained possibilities that could be the source of her symptoms. They also explained tests they could run, being very open about the pricing. No pressure was put on us to run tests or spend tons of money. They left the choice up to us. I would recommend them every time!

Negative experience: The vet spent a total of three minutes with me, did not address my concerns, and just prescribed my dog some medicine to treat a possible solution. She is having pain in her mouth and he did not even attempt an oral exam. The tech and the vet did not give me time to ask questions.

Negative experience: We used to love this veterinary clinic. They used to have reasonable prices. However, I called for an estimate to see how much it would be to have a kitten neutered…they quoted $769! That is outrageous. All of the other clinics I’ve called have been between $200-$300. That is not competitive pricing, that is taking advantage of people looking to do the right thing by spaying and neutering their pets.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazingly friendly staff and doctor! We're so glad they could help us get our cat in instead of us having to go to the ER (we would have of course, but finances are tight after several unexpected events, FYI they didn't know that). Dr. didn't try to do more tests than necessary. (Don't want to poke around the ear more than necessary) Dr. just tried first possible treatment but definitely pushed for our cat to have a follow up for it (just in case the first treatment wasn't working (Ear canal was completely closed off, couldn't even see the ear drum (he even let me look)). He asked us to come back in 3 days (squished us in for an appointment and said to call if there were any changes to her ear (he also explained what to look for)) and didn't charge us for the follow up appointment. Her ear is definitely better! I couldn't be more appreciative of this place! I'm planning on having our 2 dogs and other cat going there for now on! I'm so grateful for them and Doctor Graham is absolutely amazing and everyone there!

Fantastic experience: EVERYBODY here is amazing, the staff, the assistants, and I cant say enough good things about her Doctor he was so kind, knowledgeable and really care about our dog, this clinic is HIGHLY recommended you will not regret to put your pet on their hands, their experience is priceless, they even called us to check how Ruby was doing. Fantastic experience: We usually go to West Valley Vet, but they have been a little crunched lately. Them being sister clinics with West Jordan makes my life so much easier! They’ve been wonderful and were just as loving as West Valley is for my babies

Fantastic experience: This clinic is wonderful. All of the staff is very patient and willing to help. I worked with Valeria and Dr Graham. Dr Graham is amazing, he is gentle and caring to my pet and myself throughout this medical process with my senior cat. The only thing I can say is I feel like they are understaffed right now. so if you text with a concern it may take a bit for them to get back to you(still within 24hrs) But it’s worth the wait since this place is very knowledgeable, and I want the best care for my cat.

Negative experience: I wish I could give no stars. I called the clinic to get information emailed to me and waited for about 10 minutes and had not received the email. I called back and spoke with the same person and ended up spelling out the email to verify she had the correct one to which she responded to me “just bc I have an accent doesn’t mean I don’t know how to spell thank you”. I was very appalled and upset at the fact the staff thought they could talk to me that way. No where in our conversation was anything about an accent or not being able to understand each other brought up. I would not recommend them.

Positive experience: While visiting Utah, my dog developed a rash on his tummy, so we had to find a new-to-us vet for him to see in the area. I chose this clinic because my brother's dog is a patient there, and he recommended them. It was easy to get an appointment quickly, which was lucky, since this had been going on long enough and needed to be addressed. Once there, our experience was about as good as can be expected when you have a fear reactive pup. It's always stressful, but the staff at this place were skilled enough to handle Ruger, and Dr. Park was able to examine him. I felt that the treatment plan we received was sound, the price was in line with other vets, and the staff were personable. As it turned out, the treatment plan did not resolve the problem. We needed a more thorough exam, with exact cytology to address the skin issue. After seeing a specialist and receiving precise meds to match the issue, the problem is now resolved.

Positive experience: The staff was kind and the place was clean. But my experience with Dr Nemelka was off-putting. We went in for a reoccurring cyst. Last year we had it drained, and ideally we get the whole thing removed. However, the nearly $2k price tag seemed outrageous! At the clinic we rushed her into last year when her cyst first appeared (wJVH didn’t have emergency times quickly) they treated her and understood the goal of getting her comfortable. We know it’s a cyst and aren’t worried about pathology; her other labs come back pretty normally, don’t quote me $250 to biopsy it. He also insisted she had an upper respiratory infection and needed $309 of X-rays. She actually sounds better than usual with the better weather. I feel I was given any options. “$2k surgery or here’s the door.” As soon as I left the office I called around for second opinions. I felt judged for not doing drops for my 12 year old pugs eyes to slow her keritosis. Well, it was a fight and the old girl has cataracts. The drops just caused her anxiety and she wouldn’t come near any of us. So we quit. We are going for quality not quantity for our dog. We began going to Animal Crackers in about 2007, and our dogs got amazing care there until 2020 and the change of ownership. We scheduled our new puppies neutering and they dropped the ball big time. Twice we showed up for appointments and made arrangements with our jobs to take him to get neutered, they weren’t even in the office. No phone call or message alerting us to the change. From there on out it’s been a cash grab business. Very disappointed. We won’t be wasting our time or money there anymore.
