Fantastic experience: Been going here for years and years. Price is reasonable. Pets are comfortable and relaxed. Much easier to get to with new bigger parking lot. Hard to imagine going anywhere else.

Negative experience: Mid Valley has consistently gone down hill the past few years. It seems to be all about money there now instead of how it used to be, care for clients and their animals. Prices have raised dramatically, never the same doctor, they overbook and you are constantly waiting unnecessarily. For the 3rd straight wellness exam this past year, I was left waiting in the exam room for 30 minutes plus. Today, at 40 minutes, i went to the front desk to see what was up and to let her know that my time is valuable too. She sent the vet tech back in who stated they are backed up. Not one soul in the waiting room when I arrived, so im not sure how they could be that backed up....again. I expressed my dissatisfaction to her about my extreme wait once again, at which point she claimed we can reschedule you. Mind you, I have been a loyal customer for 20+ years and drive 10 miles to go here. I told her, if that is your answer, maybe I need to look at other clinics. Her reply? Ill get your records. She was very condescending. Clearly they don't care about the client anymore, and for the past few years, it is a new doctor every time you I go in. No stability, prices have raised, no concern for the client...yes, i believe it is time for a new clinic.

Fantastic experience: Ginny needed emergency surgery and Midvalley got her right in! Afterwards the vet was sooo caring and called several times the next couple days to make sure that she was feeling and better and better and addressed any concerns I had.

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing! I’m so grateful for the vets and the vet techs who take such good care of my cat, Ginger. The staff at the front desk is also very welcoming and helpful. Ginger recently came to this clinic to have a dental cleaning. Her procedure was very successful. They were able to remove two teeth that were in bad shape, and clean the rest. She is recovering well. Ginger can be a feisty kitty and she’s not always the easiest cat to handle in a vet situation. Despite that challenge, the people here are so compassionate. They know how to work with animals. I will always recommend this place and I’m so grateful my cat is healthier and happier because of their care and attention. I cannot thank you enough!

Positive experience: Wow, prices have increased. I'm not sure that I can have dental work done here, I will shop around. I remember Petsmart had a great care program, I may go back to that.

Fantastic experience: I have multiple cats and have been to several vets over the years- this clinic, by far, is the best. Every vet we've worked with in this clinic has been kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. They're also very honest when it comes to what type of care your pet should receive, including telling you if there is no clear answer or guaranteed treatment. I would 100% recommend anyone in the Salt Lake and even Utah County area to go to them!

Fantastic experience: The professionals at Midvalley Animal Clinic are efficient, gentle, & kind. I know when we go in that everything will be properly taken care of & I'll get clear instructions on antibiotics or anything else I need to do at home. My family & I have been going here for nearly 2 decades with all our cats & dogs, even after moving further away, simply because of their quality & dedication to the wellbeing of every animal in their care. The pet desk app & simplicity it added was, of course, a little cherry on top. It keeps me updated regarding my pets vaccinations & simplifies booking appointments. The renovations on the waiting room and parking lot have added a lot to the experience as well. It's much easier to find a spot outside & the waiting room has plenty of space. They all know by now that my dog listens to calming reggae quietly in her exam room since her barber recommends it, brings her special baby blanket for comfort, & gets chicken nuggets after every visit. One time we were in, doc said so sweetly to her as she was getting vaccine shots "That one was worth 2 nuggets alone!" He praised her for being so brave while getting "pokes." She was so proud. I look forward to going to Midvalley Animal Clinic for years to come. They know what they're doing & they prioritize their patients.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking my dog here for years. Recently my dog was hurt. I was so thankful for Midvalley Animal clinic getting me an appointment that day to see my dog. I am so greatful for the caring staff and Dr. who helped me with my dog. Sox is doing great now.

Negative experience: Heartless, money-hungry, cannot-care-less-about-you facility! The treatment we've received last week from an aloof and condescending technician and the 'management' was something else.... Our sick cat with fever and open ruptured abscess was refused a service due to supposed missing updated Rabies vaccine. We were literally kicked out of the examination room solely on the premise of him missing the updated shot. He DID get one two years prior. The only difference between the 1 and 3- year vaccines is not in STRENGTH but in LICENSING and his prior one was for some reason just one-year vaccine although he was not a kitten at that time (not sure why he was given a one-year-licensed vaccine). This was NOT a feral cat from the street, but an INDOOR pet who's had his prior vaccine already. His rabies vaccine will still be effective for at least another year. Yet, they chose to kick us out because I refused to vaccinate on the spot due to him being sick and with fever, already fighting an active infection when, generally, in best interest of the pet the vaccination is strongly discouraged. So yes, we were already in the exam room, but all of a sudden we were shown the door because I did not want to strain his already taxed immune system and said no to a a new rabies shot being forced upon him. So, if you care to go to a facility that will not make any exceptions and does NOT have the best interest of your pet in mind, that only looks for their bottom line $$, then use this clinic. I am saying - SHAME ON YOU to refuse a service to a sick animal needing your help, a previously vaccinated pet still under the protection of the previous vaccine, stating it was 'only a one-year licensed' vaccine when you knew very well he was still protected. I will never forget the way we've been treated, how she kicked us out, and will never step foot into your clinic ever again with neither of our pets and we have a few.

Negative experience: If I could leave less than a 1 star I would. They miss treated my doggies. They perform shots and procedures without proper signatures. They also make extremely rude comments about your dog or animals. Please go anywhere else than this animal clinic. So many other great options to get proper care for your loved ones.

During our conversation, we looked into your claim regarding procedures and signatures. You confirmed during our call that our staff did, in fact, go over all charges and treatment plans with you in detail, and that you provided your approval before any services were rendered. Furthermore, while we investigated your concerns regarding 'mistreatment' and 'rude comments,' we were unable to find any evidence to support these claims, and no specific details were provided during our discussion with you to help us identify where we may have fallen short. We treat every animal with the highest level of care and respect. While we are sorry we couldn't meet your expectations, we stand by the integrity of our staff and the quality of care provided to your pet.

Negative experience: My wife brought in our 2 month old puppy to get her shots. The vet was absolutely zero help. He avoided questions that we had about our pup and kept saying "I don't know" to literally every question that was asked (Common questions you think a vet would know) He acted like he didn't even care to be there. He then proceeded to put our pup on the table and let her fall off of it hitting the ground.. After that incident, a tech came in and took our pup to a back room away from my wife. She now whimpers every time her leg is touched. Not even sure if they gave her vaccines because they didn't give us any paper work stating what she was given. We will be finding a new clinic and never bringing our animals back to the this one.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking to book a dental for your dog, this is the place!!! I can’t say better things. My pup had severe dental disease as well as a heart murmur. Many vets were trying to charge me an arm and a leg. Not to mention I was very nervous to put him under for surgery. They gave me a lot of reassurance, and made me feel very comfortable he was going to be okay. He had 17 teeth removed and is healing very well! They also charged me a very fair rate, I didn’t feel like they nickel and dimed to death! Great place. Will come back in the future

Fantastic experience: Taylor and Dr Braun ftw!! I have a 96lb GIANT rescue- Dutch shepherd; “Kona”. He’s intimidating just bc of his size (and if you know his breed). He’s still a pup and can be hard to manage sometimes. We only muzzle him for other people (like a vet) and I forgot the muzzle for his appt. These lovely people are clearly in their job bc they want to be here. They agreed to see him without the muzzle; but before our appointment we started with a “happy visit” and everyone was so great- just the energy from every employee made this visit doable (typically it’s very stressful for me). We walked around the facility and Kona was all smiles- no barks, and that’s fantastic as Kona is LOUD. During our actual appt; they suggested taking Kona without me, to do his check up and heartworm test. I love that they were willing to do this, and he did great! He’s a big, little boy and listens well when the handler is confident. I’m very very grateful to the staff. After our appt, Taylor was able to take my cc in the exam room and checked the lobby for me before we left to avoid other dogs; how incredibly helpful for me! If you have a big dog, or even an intimidating dog, these people are your people! Seriously, thanks everyone you made a stressful experience really great. I had to leave my old vet unfortunately, but I’m so grateful I found you guys! Second rescue coming in next week!

Fantastic experience: We’ve been going to MVAC for nearly 13 years. They are always kind, thorough, and a great price. Our 12 year old Shih Tzu recently had a dental procedure at MVAC. They explained the procedure and took the time to clean his teeth and X-ray to determine the health of his root before pulling any teeth. They did not just jump to pulling them all and he was able to keep several teeth. It’s only 3 days post op and he’s almost back to his normal self. I appreciate all the pre and post op care. We will continue to take our pets to MVAC and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a loving vet!

Negative experience: Been going there for years, but don't have your s/o go there without you, as they will attempt to over charge and not give your animal the proper care they need. Left a review after a recent visit and they attempted to call back to "explain" what was going on but called my s/o who took our dog in there instead of calling my number because they knew they were in the wrong + their replies on other people who left other 1 star reviews speaks numbers, putting other peoples visit information but leaving sensitive information out must suck when people attempt to express themselves but the clinic just attempts to make theirselfishs (themselves) look better by replying with snarky intentions. Look at the 1 star replies they havent repsonded to due to their KNOWLEDGE OF MESSING UP My prayers go out to everyone who has and had wrong doings occur due to this clinic Feel free to record and document your visits as well, its nice to hear both sides and hear lies(one party consent state thank you utah)

We want to address your feedback regarding our communication: When we attempted to follow up on your recent visit, we did try to call the number on file for the primary guardian but were unable to leave a message. We also spoke with your partner afterward to ensure the next steps regarding your pet's treatment plan were clear. Fantastic experience: IF YOU HAVE REACTIVE/AGGRESSIVE PETS; THIS IS THE PLACE! For some back story, my dog has had a recurring ear infection for about one to two years now. His primary vet kept prescribing medication that never worked. We tried a different vet in Kaysville, and I spent over $900 on treatment for his ear infection with no success. From the moment I called and texted, the staff was wonderful. I explained my dog’s reactivity issues, and everyone was kind, understanding, and attentive. I felt heard for once. I think some veterinarians brush me off because they’ve seen it all before (which is true), but I’m not only worried about my dog’s safety—I’m also worried about everyone else’s. Our last experience in Kaysville did not go well between my dog and the vet there. Setting up an appointment was easy. They got us in earlier in the day so Archie could avoid other animals and people. They even worked around my work schedule as I was in a meeting during his visit, and it was no problem. They respected Archie’s boundaries while performing some swabs as I held his head and muzzle. Once he was taken back, it was like a miracle. We could hear the techs in the background talking about how sweet Archie was (they loved his double dew claw, haha!), and when they brought him back into the room, they said he did great. It got to the point where, when Dr. Nico came back in, I was able to take Archie’s muzzle off so he could get some spray cheese. The treatment was very affordable. For the appointment and three of the five prescriptions, it was well under what I had budgeted. I typically plan for about $500 per appointment, and this visit was maybe two-thirds of that. We were in and out quickly, but it never felt rushed. I felt listened to and genuinely cared for. As someone who has worked as a dog groomer for a few years, it can be hard to find a company that shares my same love for animals and the same honesty. I never want to lie to a pet parent about their dog’s behavior, but Archie felt so comfortable that it didn’t even have to be a lie—they adored him and treated us so well. I really like that I can text instead of call especially since I work a lot and it's hard to call sometimes. They remodeled the clinic and it looks really nice. I've always had a pleasant experience and have never had any issues. I'm usually able to book appointments a couple days ahead and sometimes same day depending on the availability. Fantastic experience: I love the vets there. They are great. I use to see Dr Flynt. My dogs loved her. My pug Buttons would pant loudly, she would let Buttons know she had to hear her heartbeat. She stopped panting. Then when she was done she would say okay you can pant now. Buttons would resume panting. This vet is the best place ever. My family and I have been going to this place when they first opened. In the 1980's. I won't go any other place. 2/27 Update.. My Miss Savannah sugar had dental surgery. She is so much happier and full of life. It didn't cost me nearly as much as I thought. So very happy. The best vet ever.. My other dad stitch bear had a allergic reaction to his vaccines. I rushed him back with swelling in his eyes, nose and face. The Vet gave him some med, saved his doggy life. Thank you so much. You're the best.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend this vet to a friend and am not satisfied with the care that we received. I took my cat in for sneezing and congestion. We were prescribed antibiotics for her “kitty cold” and the sneezing cleared up in about a week however it came back and we went in twice more for the same symptoms in less than six months. I saw a different veterinarian every time and each time I explained the symptoms came back they just prescribed the same antibiotics. After three visits in less than six months I could no longer afford another vet visit for the same reoccurring symptoms that have yet again, come back.

Following this major procedure, your cat was seen at our clinic two more times in April 2025 and May 2025 for completely unrelated conditions. During these subsequent visits, there was no concern mentioned or observed by our team regarding the recurrence of the upper respiratory symptoms, which suggests the comprehensive care plan, including addressing the severe dental disease, has provided long-term relief for the issues initially presented.

Positive experience: Staff was nice and caring. It was easy to make an appointment through text I found through Google search. I didn't give a 5 star review due to getting a guiltily reaction for needing to put down my cat. I was told since I wasn't a customer, my animal clinic was expensive for this option, they needed to do an exam of my animal. That's fine. Did the doctor not know? After she did her exam and gave options for care, I informed her why I was there. Almost 17 year old cat with many issues. She seemed shocked and said I'll get the paper work and left quickly. This left me feeling guilty for this choice, a hard choice I was making. After that she seemed ok, very generous and caring to what I was going through with my decision. The care and communication through the steps they did through the end of live care for my cat was really nice.

Negative experience: They have very strange rules, including a 5 minute late rule, if you’re more than 5 minutes late, they don’t see you. Would leave half star if I could. Also seem weirdly avoidant about dogs and actually helping pets. Think the vets have burnout here and don’t like their jobs.

We've had decent visits here in the past and have even referred them several current clients, but our visit today was one of the worst we've ever had at a veterinary clinic. We arrived for an appointment with our very elderly and disabled dog, only to be told there were no exam rooms available and we'd have to wait in the lobby. Over the next 40 minutes or so - a tech came by twice and asked for basic information I'd already provided over the phone, and later asked for our primary vet's contact to request records I'd already provided the week before. As we waited, we watched a handful of other clients who arrived after us get taken care of and even though they have 7 employees parked in the lobby (4 receptionists + 3 technicians) they never checked to see how our dog was holding up. With all of the traffic our dog grew increasingly uncomfortable and stressed on the cold hard floor, so for his sake, we had to leave. We'd driven out of our way here hoping for a thoughtful consultation and second opinion on his comfort/end-of-life care. Instead, he was left in distress waiting for an appointment that was clearly overbooked and would have been rushed through if we stayed.
Thank you for your feedback. It is never our intention for any client to feel overlooked, especially with a pet in fragile condition. We want to clarify that we do run multiple schedules at once, including urgent cases, tech appointments, and different doctor schedules, which can sometimes create the appearance that others are being seen out of order when they are not.
That said, we were running behind during your appointment time with a pretty critical patient and we did not anticipate being as behind as we were. We tried our best to make sure you felt informed and supported during that wait but it’s clear we missed the mark on making you and your dog feel seen and cared for. For that, we sincerely apologize.
While we do our best to stay on schedule, there are often unforeseen situations, such as emergencies or complicated cases, that can put us behind. These are never taken lightly, and while they may not always be visible to those in the lobby, they do impact the flow of our day in ways that are sometimes out of our control.
We understand how frustrating those delays can be, especially when you're here for something as important as a second opinion or an end of life consultation. Please know that your time and your pet’s comfort matter to us, and we’re always working to balance those needs with the unpredictable nature of veterinary medicine.

Fantastic experience: The offices are clean, the staff loves animals, and they are knowledgeable. It is easy to make an appointments and they follow-up. Both my 13 year old and 15 month old pups are patients here. My only negative feedback is they are a bit pricey compared to other places.

Fantastic experience: This place was recommend to us by a friend when we couldn't find a good vet clinic by our house. It's a little further away from others by our place but it's worth the extra miles. These vets are great with our dog. Fantastic experience: I recently moved to SLC. They were able to see my pup the next day with an urgent eye injury. Dr. and vet tech were quick, professional and gentle with my pup. Pricing was very reasonable and I'm excited to have found my new vet for my pups in SLC.

Fantastic experience: I've gone to Midvalley for several years and recommended them several times. They were my 17 year old Dalmatians vet, and very close to 11 year old pyraneese and my 14 year old cat.

Negative experience: I've been going here when needed for many years. They misdiagnosed my dog five years ago put him on heart medication when nothing was wrong with his heart. Sadly he is no longer with us. I still chose to return to this place several times since but only to see Dr. Jennifer Flynt. She has since left. She was too good of a doctor to work in a clinic like this. I would not recommend this place to anyone and will never return here myself. Pay the extra $15 exam fee and go elsewhere. They try and perform unnecessary testing. I suspect they think most people are not informed. They are only about money now & not honest good pet care. The exam rooms are filthy. I mean filthy. The doctor who saw us was questionable . He did more coughing & sounded sick and never covered his mouth. Please do your research.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Utah from California and was recommended to Midvalley animal clinic from a coworker. They have been nothing but amazing. I have two senior Chihuahuas that both need dental cleanings. One of them is worse, so I decided to get him taken care of as soon as possible. The cost ended up being half of what they estimated! It seems like they are honest and don’t overcharge. I am so happy to have found a vet that cares about my animals and is affordable. Would definitely recommend anyone to come here!
Fantastic experience: We've used a few different vets in the valley since moving here in 2016. After a bad experience with another vet nearby, we opted to try out Midvalley when our old dog's health was starting to decline. We have worked with 3 different doctors at Midvalley and all of them have been very good. We have been treated with respect and empathy over the past couple of years as our dog's cancer grew. She was 12 and Midvalley docs didn't try to upsell us to pad their wallets like some other offices have. Their approach has been very matter-of-fact yet kind. They have not charged us crazy money. After euthenizing our old dog when her cancer got too bad we have chosen to remain with them now that we have 2 kittens. They have always managed expectations well and respectfully. I was fully aware of how much certain visits would cost ahead of time by simply calling them. They do utilize an app for scheduling which is very convenient. They do not perform euthanasia unless there is a valid reason and the doctors we have worked with do not promote declawing cats unless there is a medically necessary reason for it. They truly work toward the goal of keeping pets healthy rather than using a pet's illness to make more money. I appreciate that.
Fantastic experience: They have been so great and loving with my Max. He's a senior, diabetic, and blind. I don't know what I would have done without them. The doctors are great and so is the staff.

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful to Dr Zoe Braun and vet tech Meridien G. We recently had an urgent visit at Midvalley Animal Clinic for our sweet Toto. Both Meridien and Dr Braun were very gentle and kind to us and our aging, ill dog. Meridien went above and beyond cleaning up and prepping Toto for labs. She took time to instruct my husband and myself on caring for our dog and providing treatment following the visit. I especially was impressed and grateful for Dr Braun. She was very compassionate, explaining the diagnosis and prognosis of Toto's condition. She spent time letting us process the situation and discussed options of treatment. We were able to get a same day appointment and were even fit into an earlier time slot due to a cancelation. Days later I called with questions and to discuss changes in my pets situation, Dr Nico called back in a relatively short time, answering my questions and providing reassurance. I have been bringing my pets to Midvalley Animal Clinic for years and have been totally satisfied with the care they have received!
Fantastic experience: Never had a better experience at a vet in my entire life!!! Booking an appointment at 3 in the morning with availability and being seen just hours later. Got my dog in and out with a diagnosis and treatment for his IVDD. Dr lee Matheson and falon where so good with my sugs I've never been more comfortable I'm so grateful with the care and compassion. this clinic also it has no smell! So clean so spacious...as long as this clinic is around I will drive the distance for all of my pets! Via txt email or just calling you will not be ignored they respond in such a professional manner and the price unmatched. Got amazing care for my sugs...treatment options and prescription didnt cost me a kidney actually got more help than ever expected! The best clinic in Utah hands down no longer need to waste time or money more. Our pets are more than just a dollar sign here and I appreciate that. Fantastic experience: The staff here are always so nice! They are so fun with our mini goldendoodle, and he loves meeting all the technicians. We've never had an issue with them! They are quick to respond to our questions when we text or call and have been easy to schedule appointments with when things come up. We LOVE Dr. Zoe Braun. She is so fun with our dog and is very helpful whenever we've scheduled appointments with her. I am grateful for Midvalley and all they do for our fur baby!
Fantastic experience: Desirea was so kind to me She was to my sweet girl (dog) too. Before and after she passed. So gentle.She reassured me I did the right thing. Help me with my breathing. I was hyperventilating, I was just hurting so much.I couldn't stop crying. She brought me water. 3 cups. I will always remember her. And my parents and I are grateful for her. There was a receptionist That spoke with me prior to having it done, explained to me everything and reassured me that everything would be okay and she would get taken care of and it she was.Big Thank you!
