Fantastic experience: This place was amazing! I took my little kitty Luna there because she was having seizures and wasn't herself. They had open availability the same day and we're very on time, professional, and caring. Dr O'Brien was phenomenal and updated us about our cats condition and was with us the whole way! Now my cat is doing much better and back to herself after a couple of days of IV fluids! I highly recommend this vet to anyone who has pets they love.

Fantastic experience: Our dog Lagetha had surgery on Monday and the ease of scheduling was easy, I was able to drop her off for a lipoma mass. They called and told me everything went well and I was able to pick her up. They went over everything without rushing me. I purchased a body suit for her (to keep her from picking the site) I would highly recommend Dr. Mangon and his staff. They love our animals The milners

Fantastic experience: The staff is professional, kind, care and my Doberman "Anubis" really liked them and was comfortable with them. It was also nice that they weren't intimidated in the least by my 100lb Doberman and didn't make me muzzle him just because he looks intimidating (he's a sweetheart that just looks scary).

Fantastic experience: We brought Zeus in because we had concerns about his sudden weight loss. Dr Mangone was very patient with our nervous fur baby. The price for the office visit was great, the price for the bloodwork was unexpected.

Fantastic experience: We've been seeing Dr. Mangone for about 4 years now and all my pets and I love him. Very to the point and doesn't push services but rather clearly presents the options and risks. Also, the total costs of services are MUCH better than other places in the valley. A procedure I was quoted well over $1000 for elsewhere was about $500 at Palm Glen

Fantastic experience: I usually have a hard time trusting vets for personal reasons and experience. But this one really made me feel comfortable and I will definitely be bringing all my animals for care here. My neighbor's cat was sick and we had to rush it somewhere. Although they don't normally accept walk-ins, they made an exception for us and that stood out to me. The doctor made me feel comfortable and she was very informative

Fantastic experience: My guinea pig was ill and they got me in as a day of walk in! They got her looked at, and prescribed pain meds and antibiotics and she's doing much better!

Positive experience: I liked Dr. O’Brien she got the job done, the staff was a little cold and didn’t seem to care. My 140 lbs dog had surgery and I was told to pick her up at 2:15, an hour later she was discharged, I had to sit in the waiting room and listen to my dog bark which made me uneasy and no one seemed to care, from what the receptionist told me there was an emergency and it would be a longer wait time, understandable but my dog shouldn’t have been left alone post op in the process, once they brought her out the tech didn’t offer to help get her in to the SUV so that was cool. No one called to check on her, just didn’t seem like they treated my pet like a family member but more like a number.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Mangone and his staff were incredibly friendly and professional. It was quite a drive for us especially given the hour, but the care they gave our African Grey made it all worth it. We were apprehensive to take our parrot to a new vet but the immediately put us at a calm and were so good to our bird. They never once tried to upsell us or provide unnecessary treatments. I would not hesitate to return or bring our other pets here.

Fantastic experience: I have been to multiple Animal Hospital's and it always seems like they try to push extra unnecessary treatments and that is NOT the case with Palm Glen. You can tell they truly care about your pet and their well being and not just about upcharging for more services. Truly wonderful people that always have a smile on their face. They communicate with you every step of the way and ensure you are completely aware of what the treatment plan is for your pet. I won't go any where else and neither should you.

Negative experience: ( this is reference logistics and billing not referenced the awesome vet ) When I called to make my appointment for a follow up cancer chest x-ray of my dog, I was asked if I wanted an appointment with the vet or if I wanted the tech to do it I advised since it’s a follow up chest x-ray appointment I wanted the tech. And the representative confirmed with me that the appointment would be cheaper! When I went to pay my bill there was an extra $60 charge for the vet appointment / check up ! This was something I did not ask for and there was no indication that my dog had any version of a check up other than looking at the x-rays! I asked the staff about this and they advised me that’s just the way it is!! Almost $300 for the x-ray was bad enough! You would think the x-ray consult would be included !!

Fantastic experience: So helpful!! I have an iguana who was bred with 2 parents who carries an illness that causes her to be little for the rest of her life as well as severe scoliosis..they explained her condition to me perfectly. As well as what to expect through out her different than usual iguana life. They Put her on medication that has helped her tremendously. Its difficult to find vets who Specialize in Exotics. Most places will tell you they will treat exotics, you get there and they ask for you to sign a paper saying you understand they dont Specialize in exotics and may not give the help needed because they arent qualified/Specialize. Palm Glen also helped my Russian tortoise when he had eye issues. Palm glen made me feel good by telling me I'm doing everything right by my poor iggy.. Other vets make you feel guilty for things you didnt do or cant control when your animal is sick. Not palm glen! Great staff, great business! Thank you so much for all your help!

Negative experience: Palm Glen KILLED my Giant Schnauzer. Do your research via Veterinary Board on license history BEFORE you let anyone treat your dog. Owner lost his license in Las Vegas and has been here 16 months total licensed. Other vet that performed tooth extraction 12 months licensed. Lacked the experience to perform the surgery or treatment to my dog with zero disclosure. Pay close attention to the reviews they must be paying Google Analytics to keep the star's high/bury the negative reviews (they are there you just need to scroll). After a simple tooth extraction, my dog almost died the next day. They took him back for 4 days put him on steroids yet failed to disclose and provide a steroid script to wean him off. Told me to pick him up (because he wouldn't eat, still don't understand that logic) and he went completely blind and deaf within 15 hours. We brought him back for them to say he needed to go to a specialist and if we couldn't find a specialist gave us eye drops and told us to return in 7 days. Guys at this point he hadn't eaten for conservatively 5 days... Completely blind and deaf… No broad blood test, no fluids or meds to take home, didn't test for blood sugar didn't test for cancer, wouldn't intake him KNOWING there wasn't anywhere to go, nothing. They couldn't push us out of the office quick enough. In pure desperation I asked for the file so that I could get him to a new veterinarian or specialist (they were booked out 1 month min). I knew something was wrong when they refused to release the file. I finally got a vet Tech on the phone to go over the meds that he was prescribed when they had him for 4 days. That is when I realized that not only did they NOT give him the antibiotics prescribed after the procedure, they had also given him steroids and not weaned him off. Unfortunately, my dog ended up having lymphoma (a competent vet diagnosed him via simple BLOOD TEST). Becuase they neglected to continue the antibiotics THEY prescribed while having him for that 4 day period AND didn't send him home with the steroids they were treating him with, his lymphatic system was completely crashed within days AND all lymph modes were now hard as a rock (even to his hind legs). This rendered us helpless in treating his disease. When Palm Glen realized the error they made (no steroids wean, no antibiotics), the tech hung up on me when I clarified no steriods. Yes this really happened. My dog was dead within 10 days. I asked numerous times to speak to the veterinarian that treated my dog response was she wasn't there or she was off for the day. I asked numerous times to speak to the owner the receptionist said the owner wasn't there. I asked her to leave him/her a message. Nothing. Still nothing.. Pictures say it all. Please Palm Glen, tell Aero's boy that you made a series of mistakes (5 year old seen in picture). It is the least you could do. Shame on you. Your staff needs training and support. They are disorganized and unprofessional. Subsequently, our dog is dead. I would still appreciate a call back from the owner I have not yet decided on how I am going to address this matter further. Update - Conservatively 6 months later NO response from the owner or any representative of Palm Glen. Be warned, this is not a professional Vet. Staff is not educated. This is a dangerous combination. .

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mangone and his staff are amazing. My husband and I have a lot of exotic reptiles and Dr. Mangone has been so wonderful and thorough with their care. We have been patients with him for MANY years and to this day, feel so grateful to have found him. He’s intelligent, knows his stuff and has never once made us feel rushed during an appointment even if he’s running behind. He answers all questions and will look into further information if he doesn’t have the answer at that moment. We fully trust him with our babies and highly recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a one of a kind vet. We’ve never had a bad experience with him. His staff have always been professional, accommodating, and responsive to our concerns. As an animal lover, I’ve been to many vets. Some meh, some never should’ve pursued that career, and some just care about money. Dr. Mangone though, does not fit into any of those categories. The way he is with animals goes beyond words. Unlike other vets, he gives you options and is actually honest about these options. He understands that testing, etc., aren’t cheap and will work with you on finding a solution/alternative ensuring you that your animal is getting the care they need and deserve with prices that aren’t beyond ridiculous. His office also offers payment plans. I can go on and on with positive things about this place. Thanks for all the years of great care you’ve provided us!

Fantastic experience: So today my dog girly had her first doctor's visit at Palm Glen animal hospital. I called Palm Glen approximately a week before because I was having trouble getting an appointment with my old veterinarian. The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and told me I could get an appointment in 5 days so I made my appointment and today was our scheduled visit girly saw the doctor for some arthritis issues and she also received a parvo shot. I was very pleased with the amount of time the doctor spent with me explaining all of my questions and answering everything in a very detailed and thorough manner so I highly recommend Palm Glen animal hospital we are hoping that we have found our permanent veterinarian thank you again everybody at the office for all your help

Fantastic experience: I was able to see a new vet, Dr. O’Brien who was very knowledgeable and gentle with my young cat that seemed to be struggling with teeth issues. It didn’t take long for her to determine the source of the problem, as well as, prescribe a couple of meds that would help to alleviate the symptoms. Within 6 hours, my little guy was back to his ol’ self, zooming around and back to being curious about the world around him. When we arrived at Palm Glen, he has been lethargic, hungry, but not eating and sleeping a lot so my heart and mind were so happy to see him get back “to normal”. I usually see Dr. Mangone and trust him implicitly but am glad to see he now has help with the workload and wouldn’t hesitate to see her again for any of my (many) other kiddos. Welcome Dr, O’Brien!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this vet hospital. From the very beginning, the front office staff was so kind and helpful when I called to ask about pricing. They did their best to give me as much information as possible and really made me feel supported. Dr. O Brian was wonderful—very attentive and caring—and the assistant was extremely nice! Everyone we interacted with truly cared about our Poppa. I’m beyond grateful we chose this hospital because they saved him from so much pain and discomfort. Their fair pricing made it possible for us to move forward with the surgery, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Thanks to their amazing team, Poppa is on the road to recovery, and we will forever be thankful for the excellent care they provided.

I think I paid $108 including the prescription. I appreciate being there while they do the examine the conversation during that time is priceless. Im so happy I found them.

Negative experience: Mr. Mangone The veterinarian at Palm Glen animal Hospital prescribed seizure medication for my mother’s very small dog. He didn’t even do a complete diagnosis. In fact, he told my mother that feeding this dog human food was not bad and didn’t matter. Those are the words my mother told me. I reached out to him to tell him - Yes it does matter. This dog has been eating all tsunami of human food with spices and salt including hotdogs, deli meat, chorizo, hamburger, meat, etc. Instead of investigating the situation further he immediately gave the dog seizure medication. I sent him a letter saying that may be incorrect and that human food can cause seizures. All you need to do is read about it. Dogs cannot process human food the way humans do and they can get toxicity from sodium. So, instead of protecting the animal and making sure she actually NEEDED the seizure medication, he immediately prescribed it with the swipe of a pen. I thought that that was an unsuitable diagnosis. If you go to the Pet Neuro, The first thing they will ask you is what are you feeding your animal?. Now, some people have diabetes and some don’t. Some animals may be able to tolerate human food with spices and sodium and some won’t. Her dog had many seizures, and I have tried to tell them to stop feeding the human food but because Mr Mangone told them it was OK they continue to do so. It’s one thing to give an animal seizure medication when they really need it and you’re absolutely certain they need it, but it’s another thing to harm them with the medication they may not need and harm their liver in the process. I’m very dissatisfied with this clinic.

Fantastic experience: We have gone to Palm Glen Animal Hospital for years, and a multitude of animals! We love Dr Mangone. He is thorough and answers everyone of our questions. The exam rooms are so cute with a different pet mural in each room. I needed an appointment for a new kitten, and I was asked to see Dr Carlson who is new to the practice. She was amazing and so kind, and knowledgeable. I needed another appointment this week for a sick cat. We had Dr Carlson again! Love her and how sweet and caring she is and how she loves her fur patients. Great job adding her to the practice!

Positive experience: I had a great experience after bringing my little Tuckie to this animal hospital, but there were a couple of areas for improvement. The elder woman receptionist on the right side of front desk who booked my July 3rd surgery appointment after my exam on July 2nd seemed a bit impatient and rushed during the payment process. Specifically, she made it clear she wasn't familiar with the customers process for making Care Credit payments. I had never used it before and was using my brother's account, so it kind of left me to figure it out on my own while she frequently checked in on my progress. The payment experience was so frustrating that I actually arranged for my brother to handle the payment the next day, before even picking up Tuckie from surgery, just to avoid going through the same hassle again. It would be helpful if staff members were trained on handling Care Credit payments just to ensure a smoother experience. Additionally, the hospital might consider a better storage system for pet carriers. When I came and picked my pet up from surgery the nurse brought him to me right away which was awesome! After informing her that I dropped him off with a pet carrier and blanket, it then took her about 20 minutes just to locate it. My little guy just had all of his teeth extracted and was pretty antsy to get out of there lol! So despite these minor issues, I was VERY pleased with the care provided by Dr. Birdy - he's absolutely amazing! To improve the customer experience, it might be beneficial for staff to receive training on handling all the payments you take, and the hospital could work on efficiently storing and retrieving pet carriers. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, with Dr. Birdy's (Bernard Mangone) care being a standout, and I’m so thankful that my little Tuckie is much happier and pain free.

Negative experience: They won't return my biopsy results. They received them, It's been a month, they won't say if my cat has cancer or not. What happened to this vet? They sent my cat home while she was still sedated, she was stumbling around for hours and could have hurt herself.

This was our first time ever bringing our bunny to the vet and it was such a smooth visit. I would highly recommend Palm Glen animal Hospital to everyone, regardless if it's monthly maintenance care for a pet, or emergency care when needed. The hospital has a huge menu of procedures it can perform, making care for your pet a one stop deal. Everything is done in house, and that also cuts down on costs! Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would , we recently took our pet here and was diagnosed something he didn’t even end up having the prescribed him medications for it for a “ virus” he didn’t even come out positive for we call again to get an answer to way my dog got worst out of no where they told me check your email you should have received results turns out they had the incorrect email but didn’t even bother to make a call to see if we even received results, explain to them what was going on with my pet “ in order for us to see what caused him to get worst we need him to be seen again with a charge “ I totally went crazy on them cause why in the first place are you guys prescribing my pet some medication to something he might not even have what if that medication made him worst and thanks to the mistake of this dam place we have to put our family dog of 14 yrs to sleep and all they said we will pass the note to our vet like this is not professional at all , I will be reporting this to my lawyer. Over a stupid mistake over diagnosed that my pet didn’t have we might loose him and I am not going to stay quiet.

First health problem (eye infection) yesterday and Dr Mangone was able to see him as a walk-in, diagnose & prescribe treatment that has given Charlie much relief already. The staff is the best too!

She had badly stuck shed on her back toes and needed to be sedated for removal. It's hard to find exceptional care for exotic animals in town. Fantastic experience: Palm Glen Animal Hospital is by far an amazing place I had a German shepherd that I was so attached to I loved him like he was one of my children he started to have joint issues the vet we use to go to said he had bone cancer we went to palm glen and they said it was not bone cancer they sent us to a specialist unfortunately it was to late we ended having to put him down it was the hardest thing I ever did now it has been five years my heart still hurts but I finally got me another Shepherd and the only place I will take him too is Palm Glen they are amazing and they care about your pet please check them out you won’t be disappointed

Fantastic experience: We liked the vet and staff. The vet was very open, honest, and straightforward. We were just getting our new dog a rabies shot. The vet warned us that our dog might be tender where the vax was administered. I’d never been told that by any other vet. He was spot on! Our pup definitely showed signs of of being tender later on and we were thankful to know why. Thank you for your care and guidance!!

Fantastic experience: Not a fan of how long the wait times have been but they are very busy and do their best to take their time with each animal. My dog feels comfortable with the vet and all the staff here. He just got neutered and they treated him so sweet and the staff is just always so friendly. Love that they have two doors so that if animals aren’t comfortable being around each other they can avoid interaction.

Negative experience: I have been going to Palm Glen for years. My last visit though was the worst and I will never go back. I took my cat in on May 2nd and had a nose swab done for $ 350.00. The cost was not the problem. I received an email back on May 13th that listed the results showing 2 different infections. The email said that one could be treated and the other couldn’t but it didn’t say which one was treatable. Normally, I would have gotten a phone call explaining this and medication that needed to be filled. So I started calling the office at least twice a week for the next few weeks trying to get an answer. Among the excuses as to why I was not being contacted back by the vet was, he’s the only vet and you have to wait for a callback and we don’t know how long that will take. The vet is with a patient but he’ll call you right back, that never happened. So, finally I called and just asked for the medication to be filled and I was told that the vet had to figure out the dosage amount for my cat and he would call back by the end of day, that never happened either. I then asked for the actual test results and her records to be transferred to my email so that I could pay to take her to another vet to get her help because she is still sick at this point. I called back 3 days later wondering where the results and records were and I was advised that I had to wait until the vet released the records. I called back again and was advised to email the doctor if I wanted a response. I finally called back and threatened to call the BBB and 3 days later I finally received an EMAIL back from the vet basically telling me that he had already answered all of my questions and he didn’t understand what my problem was. I emailed back because at this point it was obvious that he wasn’t going to call me, that I didn’t know how bad the viruses were and I had no idea what medicine was needed and could I just get it prescribed. He said that they carried one of the meds but the other would need to go to a pharmacy. He wrote that I needed to call the office and give them the name of the pharmacy. I was then finally able to get the medicine for my sick cat. I will never go to this vet again. I have all of the email correspondence still, the only reason that I’m not showing them is the vet’s name and email are on them and I don’t want to get into trouble for posting his name and email but he is the only vet in the clinic.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Mangone is awesome. We like how he starts with the basic issue and doesn't have you do any unnecessary tests until they are warranted. He is a straight shooter and has your pet's best interests at heart.

Fantastic experience: I love Dr. Bernie and all the staff. I have no complaints whatsoever with that, and the front desk staff is awesome. Unfortunately, they seem under staffed. When I call, I am put on hold and have to wait quite a while sometimes. When I come in for an appointment with my fur babies, I have to wait quite awhile as well. They are always pretty busy and it would be so nice to have another staff member there to help, and maybe another technician. Not only for the fur parents, but the staff as well. I will always be a loyal fan member of Palm Glen.

Fantastic experience: Our pets have been coming here for over a decade. This is our home away from home as far as our dogs are concerned! Most recently my shar-pei was diagnosed with high grade aggressive mast cell cancer. Dr Mangone made me aware of my options for treatment and sent the results via email as soon as they got them from the lab so I would have more time to think on it. I love that we are known when we come in, my dogs are known, and we are always treated with kindness, compassion, and a comforting familiarity. Unless it's an after hours emergency, I will happily pay the walk in charge instead of going somewhere else. Update new visit 4/29/24 Great experience as always, thank you guys!

Negative experience: Not even sure how the girls at the front desk still have their job. I wouldn’t have come here had I read the reviews first. Clearly this an ongoing issue. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly rude and insensitive to the information I was asking. I didn’t feel like I was asking for much, I just needed further clarification on bills or a layaway plan. Not only did she hang up on me twice, but she refused to give me her name or the contact information of any superiors. To be rude to someone when they are already experiencing such a rough time is truly cruel. Do yourself a favor and hire some pleasant employees. You’ve lost my business. It’s frustrating because I’m sure the actual doctors are great, but I won’t even give them my money at this rate. Absolutely horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: I have been taking all of my animals to Palm Glen for the past 8 years and have nothing but amazing things to say. Dr. Mangone and his team have gone above and beyond for my family every single time. Even though it's a good hour drive from where I live, I wouldn't imagine using anyone but Palm Glen.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience here. Took my bearded dragon in for a checkup and the doctor was very excited to see a beardie and knew a lot about them! I brought my beardie in to get a normal check up and to make sure she was actually trying to brumate. Dr. was able to do a fecal test and we found out she had parasites. I was able to get an antibiotic same day and take her home. Very grateful for this office. Prices are very reasonable compared to what I have seen from friends.

Fantastic experience: The staff are all helpful, patient, and empathetic. There are always cute animals hanging around the front desk. If you’re there late some staff kitties come out for attention and are super sociable. Dr. Bernard Mangone has treated one of our pups and one of our cats. He’s skilled at making them feel safe and comfortable. During these scary medical emergencies he’s been very practical about his approach. He’s great at coaching you through your options; leaving judgement free choices for your pets care in your hands while providing the knowledge to make them wisely.

Fantastic experience: We brought our 1 year old Mastiff in for an urgent Spay after she was diagnosed with an infection in her uterus. From the time I first called them until we got our girl home the staff was so helpful, friendly and understanding. They took wonderful care of her even though she was causing some chaos due to her fear and pain. They were also so much more affordable than anyone else I called and were able to get her in for surgery within 24 hours of my call to them. I will be forever grateful for their support through this scary time.

Fantastic experience: Took our diabetic dog here and the doctor was very understanding and willing to take the time to explain and share some knowledge about diabetes in dogs as well as the newest information on managing it. Very happy with the service received.
