Fantastic experience: Vets & staff are fantastic, friendly, very knowledgeable and most importantly treat your pet with top notch care.

Fantastic experience: I have been going for over 30 years , with many chihuahuas! I have had to go to the “other vet” I swore never. I am very lucky to stay with Sunburst. The staff are amazing! Dr. Stevens and Dr. Stevens WOW.

Fantastic experience: We had to bring our little old man in so he could cross over the rainbow bridge. He was 17 years old. They were reverent, patient and kind. But I can't think of a place where they would have treated him better.

Negative experience: Someone is using my social security number here since 2024 I called a couple times here the lady in the front desk hung up on me 4 times & I called again she told me I couldn’t get in contact with the accountant & I asked for a manager she cussed me out & hung up on me. I get disability & it’s affecting my credit & SSi because someone has been employed with my number every time I try to resolve it. They hang up & cuss me out.

Negative experience: They just straight up told me they aren’t accepting any new clients at this time followed by an awkward silence…very weird experience over the phone. Save yourself the time and don’t bother calling or showing up because they will just turn you away and not care .

Negative experience: So disappointed in this clinic. Bought my dogs from a breeder went to their first vet checkup with my dog names on the charts called on September 26 made an appointment two weeks out which is October 8 scheduled me an appointment called today and was told that they don’t see new patients But they’re not new patients. They are dogs that have been previously seen their under a litter so do not go to them. They’re rude disrespectful in a horrible place to go to for your dogs.

Fantastic experience: Best Vetrinarian service in Phoenix. I have used this Vetrinarian Hospital for 25 years. Service charges are very reasonable. Doctor's snd staff are exceptional.

Fantastic experience: Had a great visit to the Vet w our Rescued Belgian w Dr Mark Stevens! This is the third canine I've taken to him. Period Dr. STEVENS is so passionate about animals. And since I know he's getting up there in age, today I asked him how long he was planning on sticking with it and he said as long as I stay in good health, I'm gonna be here every day. I love what I do. I love meeting new animals. I love meeting people and until such time that I can't physically participate, I am going to keep caring for animals! He says it has never felt like a job to him because he loves what he does. And it shows. He's never been one that's in it for the money so he doesn't charge the exorbitant prices other veterinarians command. So if you're looking for a great vet and you can get an appointment here then my suggestion is to roll with it. Can I give 10 stars?

Fantastic experience: We have returned to this vet after some yesrs die to relocation. This vet has been apart if my family since the early 1980s. They are fair priced , caring and professional. We have two dogs and they are not scared when theu walk in as in the past. Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: 6/17/24 with Dr. Reynolds, I have been bringing my cats there for many years, great staff and vets, even if my cat Freddie wasn't thrilled on being there. They are so gentle with my cat who is 3 months shy of 18 years old. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. On 7/28/25 I had the heart wrenching decision to put my beloved cat Freddie down, I know this was coming, the staff and Dr. Reynolds and Dr. Stevens, had been treating him since 2006, Dr. Reynolds was very compassionate, I was a mess, Thanks from the bottom of my heart, it will take some time for me to get over this loss, Freddie was 6 weeks shy of 19 years, I have a lot of memories to cherish with him.

Fantastic experience: I've been here a few times now, and every time has gone great. The last visit was the best. My little dog had an accident and soiled himself. They cleaned him all up for me and let me know it was no big deal, but he'd need a bath when we got home. My dog loves his vet and cuddles up with her while we're there.

Fantastic experience: We've been going to family-owned and operated Sunburst for 20 years and 4 dogs. We make the drive from Surprise because they are all simply The BEST VETS EVER! Compassionate, Knowledgeable, Loving and Dedicated. We wouldn't trust our fur babies with anyone else. Their charges and fees are also reasonable which is an added bonus. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM ❤️

She is doing so good and pretty much back to normal at this point in her recovery. Fantastic experience: The most experienced and knowledgeable vet who happens to also be fairly priced and honest. It’s very hard to find any of these qualities in a vet now let alone all of them. My goldendoodle was misdiagnosed with allergies and ear infections for years by others vets charging insane amounts for no help - Dr Stevens correctly identified her hypothyroidism in 2 minutes and backed it up with a blood test. Thank you, Dr Stevens!

Fantastic experience: I like this clinic for many reasons. It's always clean. The staff is always friendly. The doctors treat our pets so gentle and with wonderful care. We've had many bad experiences at a few vet offices in the past, so we know what a gem Sunburst is.

Positive experience: Clean and attentive vet for a paw issue - was fairly through only thing why I gave less of star is the after care instructions really were not great and u had to figure out how to bandage the paw & I also didn’t know you could do cytology for over yeast growth in the sore we were dealing with. Good bedside manners though and allowed me to help either care. This was a semi-emergency type issue while I was living out of town.

Fantastic experience: Have been to multiple different vets, all of them seem to have absolutely no idea what they are talking about. The people and staff are very knowledgeable and were understanding of the frustrations we were having with the other vets. It is very hard to get in unless it’s an emergency but it’s worth the wait! Don’t waste your time or money anywhere else!

Negative experience: Waited for almost 30 minutes for someone to wait on me. Staff had no sense of urgency. Glad they are not where we’ll be taking our new puppy.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Sunburst has been amazing since I started bringing my puppy there earlier this year. No complaints whatsoever, always a great visit. This morning, my guy had to be rushed in due to anaphylactic shock (ant bites!) and the staff was incredible! I was so afraid that my sweet baby boy wasn’t going to make it, but they took such great care of him and I couldn’t be more thankful. We are clients for life! Everton says thank you, Sunburst!!

Negative experience: Dawn at the front desk has zero compassion, patience, sympathy & has no business dealing with patients. I called today because I had to make the hardest decision to possibly put down my sweet Frenchie & she huffed and puffed to make me feel like I was taking up her time. Dawn I hope you read this, hear this, see this. The next person that calls in my position, take a moment to consider that they might be experiencing heart break at the impending loss of their beloved pet.

Fantastic experience: Sunburst is always clean and friendly. The pricing is some of the fairest pricing I have seen. Unfortunately, because they are great, it can be difficult to get seen as quickly as you'd like. The parking can be difficult too. The thing I like the least and really wish they'd change is....I had to call and be put on hold several times while my dachshund was dying. The hold music is always the same and is such a trigger. I know it must seem like a small thing to some but it really is hard to hear that same melody over and over again after having to listen to it so many times during such a hard tragic time. I did make a mention of this but I think they must have thought it was silly. Maybe it is. But it definitely doesn't feel like it to me.

Fantastic experience: I love this veterinarian clinic. I just bought a three month old standard poodle, and they loved all over her and took such good care of her. They have the best friendly staff most reasonable prices and most of all very caring and loving and lots of empathy. Their facility is extremely clean, I highly recommend this place to everyone. I have been to very vet offices and I have never been to one as nice as this place very caring, kind and loving people.

Fantastic experience: Love this place for my fur babies not one of those places that try to over charge or do unnecessary things just to get money, they are very knowledgeable and really listen to you and your concerns about your pet. We have several dogs and they have all gone there. When our bulldog passed away they were very caring and made the process to get her cremated easy and comforting as losing a pet it truly worse than losing people in some cases and we were a mess but they were very kind and caring throughout it all. When our small terrier mix was recovering from emergency sx they were great and helpful in answering questions and helping her get better no matter how much we needed to be seen as complications occurred and she needed a bit more extensive ongoing care during recovery. They are great with our fur babies, compassionate and do not treat me like I’m crazy when I Stress about our cholula (our rescue who is basically a VIP there now) they care for our bulldogs just as our rescue which is nice because some vets make u feel bad when you have pure breed dogs especially smoosh faces (if u have a bulldog breed you will understand this) I don’t trust many people with our dogs after many many bad experiences but this practice is wonderful. All around awesome.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Stevens is the best in the business as well as all of the other doctors and staff at Sunburst. We've taken our family pets here since I was a kid and I plan on always taking my pets here. If they are taking new patients, I highly recommend!

Negative experience: I’ve been going here for over 10 years, I’ve always talked very highly about them until now. My daughter’s dog is 11 years old, diabetic diagnosed last December, put on pain medication because he loses use of his hind legs , this transition has been very hard on my daughter because she suffers with depression and anxiety so bad her dog is her emotional support. My reason for this review is to voice our concerns. My daughter’s dog now is at end of life terms I called Sunburst to put our dog down, apparently we had a balance under $100 unpaid and apparently they’ve tried to reach us via mail/phone. We NEVER received ANY mail regarding this and my daughter only received a phone call last week (one time) apparently they say they’ve tried reaching us for months?? My daughter’s dog is literally her whole world so when we called to put him down and was told we were no longer customers because of a unpaid balance of $86 the situation escalated my daughter’s mental state to the extreme instead of being sensitive to our situation they were very cold and also added that they added a unpaid balance from my son’s account to ours!!! FYI my kids are adults I’m only accountable for my daughter because I take care of her. My son has nothing to do with my account. Thank you Sunburst for showing absolutely NO COMPASSION for mental health and putting us in a stressful and difficult position to now scramble around to find someone who will help us when they don’t know our dog at all!! Sincerely disappointed customer

Fantastic experience: I found this awesome group 6 years ago, and now all my pets get seen here. I will tell you stories why I have a high opinion. M. Stevens is the best. He is there for your animals and you 100 percent. Our female was pregnant and the pup had passed. I noticed she wasn't acting right as was having discharge They got her in immediately and she had emergency surgery. We got to bring her home and He warned us she's going to go through alot having surgery and losing her pup, if we needed anything to call. He was not wrong she wouldn't settle down,pacing she started bleeding pretty bad it was closing time. So He made a home visit (we did pay for the home visit) to check on her and sedate her so she would be calm and it helped. He's an amazing Dr (this isn't common practice). We have mainly seen Dr. Reynolds and she's been there for us every step of the way with all our pups and kitten, growing up and everything in between. She is so knowledgeable and will not do anything that is not necessary. Our female Pitty when she was 6 months old tore her acl, she advised for us to keep her from running around or jump to get her rope in the tree which we believe was the cause. If you have a pitbull you know the struggle is real they are high energy when they are babies. She advice for us to give her cosequin it took a few months for us to be able to go in for surgery but when we got there for surgery day she reexamined our pup and had Dr Stevens examine as well and they both determined surgery was not necessary that it had healed she didn't want to cause her any more pain than what she already been in. She's been an amazing Dr for us. T Steven's came on board and He's been an amazing asset as well. He's seen our female pit for a really bad ear infection due to an injury and He has been there every step our journey. There is another Vet there not sure her name but she is very sweet and knowledgeable we've only gotten her twice. You couldn't ask for a better team of Dr's to care of your pets needs. The staff members are incredible. Super sweet and polite, if they are having a rough day you're never going to feel it. This group is efficient. You will not be sorry about taking your pet here and they are reasonably priced which is affordable for me and I'm frugal. Do I recommend them? Yes a million percent

I have never, and will not ever, use or trust another group of staff to care for my animals. These folks are phenomenal beyond fathom, and I truly can not thank them enough for the love, care, and respect they have not only provided to my pets, but to me as well.

Fantastic experience: We had to put down a member of the family. Not my family. I am just a friend but I was able to go and be with Pepe. As he moved on to his Next adventure, the staff was wonderful and so carrying and sweet and the doctor that. Helped send him on his way was so kind and made the whole process. Although hard much easier, I would recommend this. Hospital to anyone who loves their pets.

Fantastic experience: Great place to take your pets they treated my moms dog quickly and efficiently. Were helpful, knowledgeable, and caring would recommend for anyone and I definitely got out for less than I was prepared for which is never the case at emergency pet vets so I was very happy for that.

Fantastic experience: Dr Steven's is the best and all the other Vets there along with an impressively knowledgeable desk staff and vet techs! Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I have never had any problems at this vet before and used them to put our family pets down when it was there time on multiple occasions, but yesterday My 11 year old and mom were traumatized. Dr Steven's Did not preform the necessary intravenous injections as a professional should. couldn't get the first Leg and even heavily sedated to the point of having trouble breathing cried out in pain and started to cure up. tried the back leg and couldn't get it. the other front leg looked promising but he missed a lot of it from the veiling and her leg became very large. From the fluid. He ended up needing another syringe of end of life medicine before she finally passed. In all the time from the sedative to the end took 30 minutes. Last time it couldn't have gone more smooth for Rysty. I would just recommend not having Dr Steven's help you pet at the end of life.

Fantastic experience: Sunburst's staff & Dr Stevens are all amazing! In 2016 my sweet deaf girl got stung in her throat & it swelled up & another vet wanted to do surgery costing $1700 & thankfully Boxer Luv recommended Dr Stevens check her out first & he put her on antibiotics & it cleared right up. Been using them ever since & have taken wonderful care for my three Boxer rescues.

Negative experience: I have been going to this vet for 20 years. I made an appointment for my dog for a specific reason. One I have made every six weeks for the past 4 years. My dog has always been treated. Today I was told after waiting 30min that the doctor could only treat my dog not the vet tech that I made the appointment with. Again I have made this appointment this way for the past 4 years every six weeks. Why wasn't I told this when I made the appointment. If their policy changed I should have been told this when I made the appointment a week earlier. This vet office is bursting at the seams with clients. Because of this I have noticed over time the staff is very rude and short with clients. Not very nice and clearly overworked and in this instance unapologetic for their mistake in setting an appointment for a treatment with a vet tech that they are not allowed to perform. I am sure they will not miss our business and they are probably greatful we are taking our pets elsewhere so they can relieve the high client list.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Coates is a very caring veterinarian and she has your fur baby's best interest at heart. She took such good care of Raven that you would have thought that we had two entirely different animals. She has come though her surgery well and we owe everything to Dr. Coates and the entire staff at Sunburst because without all of you, all of these animals wouldn't get the love and care the same as their owners give them. Still a special thank you to Dr. Steven's as well.

Negative experience: The vet there is amazing, however in the 15 years I've been going here the staff has gotten less and less compassionate. My dog requires sedation for a nail trim and they did not trim them short enough and charged me more than what I was told.

The head vet personally put our kitten onto his schedule to see her in follow up because he knew we were so worried about her. We have never had a bad experience in the 10+ years we have been part of Sunburst’s family! They are very busy, but it’s because they are providing amazing care to all animals that come through their doors. They are well worth the wait. I’m so thankful and grateful for the phenomenal staff for always taking amazing care of our family members! Thank you thank you thank you to each and every one of you!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going here to Sunburst for over 20 years with each pet that has come and gone. The only thing they stopped sending out postcards to remind us of our pets shot due dates. I really appreciated those. I hope they will keep doing that again.

Negative experience: Have had Many of Our Dogs taken care of by this Vet. We get a Shih Tzu puppy, and they are Not taking New Patients. The shape of Vetenarians in the Phx. Metro area is Scary. Appointments Two and Three Months away. Totally Unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Got in the morning I called...they must of had a cancelation. Dr was awesome. Got to the problem of my dog andvghiscweek he's going in for an outpatient procedure. I'm excited for him to feel better. Thank you sunburst animal hospital. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I don't know how partial I would be with this review but my wife works there and she loves the place. The doctors, techs and receptions are great. Every time I go into the office the clients seem to be so happy with what's going on. I see, no, I know animals taken here are being treated very well. They are in good, tender and Loving hands.

Fantastic experience: We had to make the tough decision to put Koko, our 11 year old lab, to sleep after she became unable to walk due to a progressive neurological disease. They were able to take us in that same day and were very supportive during that very difficult time. We had Koko cremated and they gave her remains back to us in a beautiful wooden box with her name engraved on a heart.
