Fantastic experience: We recently moved to Winter Park from another part of the country and needed a vet for our fur baby. I called a few places nearby. The prices I was told here seemed the best. I was given a timely appointment. The staff is very nice and courteous. Thank you, Barbara. Then I met the lady. The Dr is a great woman. She gave me sound advice as to how I could best go about the products I would need for my fur baby. Then, during our conversation, I happened to mention how we were struggling. I can not even get over what happened next. When I was making the payment, I was told the Dr had waived away her fee. I am really overwhelmed by this generosity and kind heartedness. Never in my life have I seen a Dr waive their fee off. My heart felt thanks to you, my good and kind Dr. Only a soul as pure as you could have done this. People like you make me believe there is still goodness in this world.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Peggy + her crew are amazing! She has taken care of our family for years. I definitely think one of our dogs would not have lived until 17 yrs when many of the same breed die around the 14 yrs mark. I definitely attribute my families longevity to Dr. Peggy’s meticulous care. She’s blunt about things but I’d rather hear the truth than have to try + decipher what is actually best for my family. I trust her expertise + opinion. Her staff are super caring as well!

Fantastic experience: After a few days of my cat having stomach and back pains, I decided to take her to Mayfair as it is a block from my apartment. I am extremely new to this area and had no idea where else to take her as this was an emergency. I called as soon as they opened and had an appointment right away for an hour or so later. Dr. Peggy was so professional and honest with me. She was so understanding of my budget as I am a student and am currently living off of ramen noodles and arizona tea. She figured out what was wrong with my cat and gave me an extremely affordable price as well. I'm so happy she is home and feeling much better! I would most certainly return here. I'm not sure why other reviewers disagree, but I definitely had a wonderful experience here. Thanks Dr. Peggy and staff!! :)

Fantastic experience: It is with great pleasure that we write to tell how much we love Mayfair Animal Hospital's Dr. Peggy Stubblefield and her outstanding staff which includes Jennifer, Mandy ,Cesar, Elika Katelyn and others. Also the wonderful receptionists, Rosa, Barbara, and Carol are very courteous and efficient. In the 40+ years that we have owned dogs, we find Dr. Peggy to be the most caring and knowledgeable veterinarian we have ever known. She has kept our little 15 year old dog "Dixie" well and comfortable in spite of many challenges. Dixie is blind and has diabetes, skin allergies, chronic eye and ear issues, and suffers from arthritis. Dr. Peggy addresses each of these with true compassion and medical expertise. The staff is very loving and gives Dixie excellent care. We sincerely hope to have many more years of association with Dr. Peggy and Mayfair Animal Hospital. Dr. Peggy and all the staff are very knowledgeable and professional and are caring and gentle with my animals. Fantastic experience: I had move to Orlando from Indianapolis, not knowing much about the area. I also brought my cat Lea on this new life journey I was pursing. I was so happy to have found Mayfair for my cat's needs! The staff are always polite and sweet to my little baby. I trust them a lot and would recommend them to all my pet owners. The prices are also affordable, such as for myself being a college student!

Fantastic experience: I just love this place! The people are very friendly and they are like family to us. Shiba has been going there ever since we got her in 2004 and she loves going, especially bath day. Fantastic experience: Dr. Peggy Stubblefield ("Dr. Peggy" as many customers call her) and her staff at Mayfair Animal Hospital are awesome! They have been taking care of our cat, Ponce, for almost 17 years and they are amazing with him. He is anxious by nature, however, whenever he visits the office, he is calm and trusting. When he was 3, he got out of the house (totally an indoor cat) and was attacked by a dog and Mayfair put him back together and has kept him healthy every since. Dr. Peggy sure 'knows her stuff'. Dr. Peggy" is extremely knowledgeable, caring, dedicated and wonderful with animals of all kinds. No matter what I ask, she has a thorough answers and explains it in a way a that a non-doctor like me can understand. Mayfair is also conscious of customers' budgets and they don't gouge like some vets I've heard about through friends and co-workers. I know Ponce is always in good hands and I'm very thankful Dr. Peggy and her staff are here for us.

She knows her stuff and will listen to you I have my faith in this lady. I haven't found anybody in my location that I full trust with my dog Max like I do her. Fantastic experience: Unfortunately, my pet never had the chance to meet this veterinarian as he passed away at home before his scheduled euthanasia appointment. I called them at 4 pm and their vet was gone for the day but they gave me a first appointment time for the next morning. I have to say I was so impressed when I spoke with them to make the appointment following my cat's own vet, Companion Care of Winter Park, refusing to fit him in when he took a sudden turn for the worse. Also the price they quoted me for the procedure was less than half that of all other quotes I received from other practices. They were so kind and responsive to my urgency. I wish I had found them a long time ago. I will recommend them to any pet lover I know.

Negative experience: One of the worst days of my life bc of this vet! Went in for a bloated tummy and she told me to put my dog to sleep that week after taking a chest x-ray… She was wrong! I took my dog to another vet. They did the x-rays and did many other tests just to make sure all was ok…they were more than ok! Hes old and chubky but hethy and happy. I put my children… family and loving friends through the agony of saying goodbye to their pet before his time was up. She told me to buy a new dog and not waste money on this one. Cold woman. Wouldnt even refund me bc she clearly just wants a paycheck. My baby is alive bc I didnt trust her.

Negative experience: Worst vet experience I’ve ever had. The vet is anything but compassionate and the office is gross. Do NOT bring your pets here.

I'm a relatively new cat owner, that knows nothing about animals, and when my cat stopped eating they gave great suggestions, checked his health and confirmed that he was a boy so I could name him properly. Making them his "primary care doctor" for now on.

Fantastic experience: Reasonable prices! I initially had called another vet and they wanted to charge $140 for a rabies shot. But here they only charged $19.95. And they let me be inside the exam room with my paraplegic cat.

Positive experience: We just moved to the area and needed a new vet for our two dogs. I was not impressed in the slightest in this vet office, and actually feel quite angry leaving the vet. Prices were fair and the receptionist was very sweet and welcoming. The vet techs were very rough on our dogs and it came across they valued the vet tech’s comfort over the dogs’. I’ve never seen any vet tech treat my dog so poorly. The vet tech said that a muzzle would need to be used on my dog because she was very anxious, even though she was only shaking not even growling or barking. This is just one instance of how their comfort was more important than the dogs’. I tried to advocate for my dogs and the vet tech tried to wave me off until I insisted. The vet was very friendly. I see my dogs as children and I do not think this hospital provided care with dignity or compassion. Overall, I will not be returning to this vet.

Fantastic experience: Serviced by calling when you arrive and the the vet tech comes out gets your pet and brings them inside to see Dr.Peggy. after a diagnosis she comes out to talk to the family then goes from there. I've brought many animals to this animal hospital over the years and wont go to anyone else. Shes very understanding and sweet. Thanks peggy for the amazing service for my furry babies.

I have 3 ferrets and she is the best Doc I have found. I live in casselberry and I would much rather drive to her than the vet down the street.

On top of being an affordable visit, the doctor and her staff all made me feel very comfortable and even made me laugh a few times! Fantastic experience: 18 years ago Dr Peggy performed the neuter of my last chihuahua who healed very quickly. She is still there and last week she neutered my new chihuahua. I shopped around Orlando and I was lucky to find she had availability on short notice. I also noticed she doesn’t overcharge like some other places I looked into. I fretted a little bit over the bruising on my new puppy after his procedure and they invited me in for a free visit (first visit after the surgery is free) and assured me everything was normal. She shared a tip to help my puppy heal quickly by giving him a water massage with very mild tepid water in a circular motion for 10 minutes. I’m impressed with her calm demeanor and pragmatic advice offering ways to get involved in the healing process at home for low cost.

Positive experience: Very caring staff members. No changes in Takani's character behavior while boarding stay and also bathes and grooms pets. Thank you.

Negative experience: SUCH A HORRIBLE VET!!!! Took my dogs to to be seen and was a horrible experience, one was seen and the other was not seen at all because he was nervous and i still got charged for his visit all that he got done was his weight taken. She prescribed him medicine without being seen. Then for the dog that got seen she made him bleed by taking a razor to his bare skin. Such a horrible experience will not be returning to this vet. Think wisely before coming here. This place doesn’t even deserve a star they deserve a negative star.

Negative experience: Worst place I have taken our pets. The customer service is terrible. The pricing seems ok until you actually get there and they start to itemize everything. I will never be using this place. If you truly love your pet do not go here. Worst experience ever. If they treat their customers poorly I can't imagine how they treat our pets. Disgusting.

Fantastic experience: Dr Peggy and staff were highly responsive when I needed to take in an injured cat on an emergency basis . It was a Saturday and other vet offices would not take in my cat that had an injured leg. I wanted to rule out a broken leg and also provide some pain meds until he could get a x-ray and be checked further . They took me in the same day without question or turning me away like the other vet offices did . I could have brought him to an emergency vet however I did not have the resources to pay a huge out of pocket for emergency care. An appointment was made for the next business day and Dr Peggy explained everything thoroughly and explained in great detail what to expect next . The staff and Dr Peggy showed genuine concern and care for my cat. I would highly recommend Mayfair Animal Hospital .

Negative experience: My dog needed to be put down. We made the appointment and showed up and were told to wait in the car because of covid, which is understandable (not wanting a crowded waiting room makes total sense). But we assumed that we would be allowed inside to be with our baby while she died, but no. They take your dog from you, bring them inside, and do it without the owners, so that the dogs last memory is being in a scary room with strangers. I couldn't believe that my mom and I could not be with our baby in her last moments, despite us wearing masks and having proof of being fully vaccinated. We immediately left and found another vet that allowed the owners to be in the room on the very first call. This vet is so inhumane. Just terrible.

Negative experience: My ferret was having a seizure and was denied treatment; I asked her with tears in my eyes if they take ferrets, the lady at the front said yes, locked the front door made me wait outside almost 4 minutes, and then came back and said to take him to lake underhill, didn’t give me a hospital name or address.

Positive experience: I give this pet hospital a 3 because Dr. Segota is a very nice man. The front desk ppl are not friendly and the ppl helping in the rooms (nurses if that's the right term) are constantly bickering about someone else. I have waited over 1 hour in that room for someone to come and check my dogs. And I hate when getting blood they have to stick my baby at least 4 times. They keep saying"I'm sorry" I wish there is a place where dogs are the priority and not what their coworkers are complaining about.
