OVIEDO VETERINARY CARE AND EMERGENCY: Reviews
Negative experience: We are looking for a vet for our two Border Collies. Our vet of many decades retired. Placing calls to several vets in the area, we were able to get pricing for visits, shots, and several standard tests. All I could get from this clinic was the price for the visit. When I inquired about prices for specific shots & tests, I was told between $30-50 each, but no firm prices until dog is brought in for a visit. I don't want to pay $65 for a check-up visit to get pricing. We are loyal to our vets, but we will choose one that is transparent with their pricing.
Fantastic experience: My cat is a difficult patient, and they handle him so well! They are very efficient and really care about your pet's wellbeing. I am a happy returning customer!
Negative experience: You work with Save a Life Rescue where I adopted my puppy friday night. You spayed her 1/5/26 and GLUED her closed instead of using sutures. Whatever you used internally came apart in her and I had to take her to my local vet to have a hernia repair in her surgical site! My vet raised serious concerns about the lack of care the puppy received. They even said your vaccine schedules are too close together and you are spaying puppies too young! Her ears have a yeast infection in them and the amount of debris my vet pulled from her ears today was astonishing and horrifying. If you are going to work with a 501 3 c, do better! Especially when we have to pay 500 a pop to adopt these dogs. I know I incurred costs by choosing another vet to do the repair but I was not about to trust you people with her.
Fantastic experience: We cannot thank Oviedo Veterinary Care & Emergency enough. Their professional and compassionate care literally saved our dog when she had a very scary cardiac episode. The entire staff including Robin, Tali, Liz, Angeline, Dr. Willaims and Dr. Florres provided the absolute best care. They quickly stabilized her and then worked towards a solution. The facility is clean and well run and they kept us regularly updated during the day and half that our dog was there. While emergency care is expensive, they were completely transparent about the costs and advised us promptly of any additional costs.
Fantastic experience: The vets and staff here are wonderful. They provide top notch care and are so kind and helpful. They explained everything about my cat's condition and what to do so that I fully understood what he needed. CC was so kind and helpful and my cat loved her!
Fantastic experience: My 1.5 year old Cavapoo has been going to this vet since she was 8 weeks old but shoutout to CC for taking incredible care of her this morning while she was getting a tooth extraction. She went above and beyond for me. I HIGHLY recommend this vet - they are amazing.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing experience both times CC has helped us and took extra time to make my puppy feel comfortable and happy. Will always recommend to others due to CC she truly changed taking my puppy to the vet for the better.
Fantastic experience: Everyone was super nice and caring. We had to bring our dog in for emergency surgery and they walked us through every step. Gave us updates even sent us picture updates. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Great vet services. Very knowledgeable and professional.
Fantastic experience: The doctors and staff are great with our dog.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful and kind
Fantastic experience: Everyone here was incredible and took great care of my cat. They took him immediately when I arrived and were so kind and understanding. Robin, who received him when we came in, was extremely caring and communicative, putting me at ease right away. Our technician was very thorough and efficient and explained everything to me in detail as it was happening. He was seen by multiple doctors within minutes. The doctor treated him right away, and gave us a treatment plan to make sure Cloud was feeling better as soon as possible, to keep him comfortable, and to resolve his uti. I’ve been to a number of animal hospitals and ERs, and I’ve never been so impressed with the quality of care and the kindness of every single person I interacted with. Obviously we never want anything bad to happen to our pets; I know how scary that is. If you’re in that position right now, like I was today, I highly recommend taking them to Oviedo Veterinary Care and Emergency.
Fantastic experience: This is my second time needing to visit Oviedo Veterinary Care and Emergency for my corgi, Sir Tommy Pickles, and once again, the experience was fantastic. From the check-in staff to the entire medical team and the doctor, everyone was kind, professional, and truly caring. I always feel like we’re in great hands when we’re there. Since our first visit, I’ve also started using their general practice for all of Tommy’s regular checkups, and the level of care and attention is consistently excellent. From both an emergency and everyday care standpoint, I completely trust this team with my pet and can’t recommend them enough!
Negative experience: I took my dog here on 09/27/25, a Saturday night after he suffered a seizure. I told the vet he had a seizure when he was 1 years old due to overheating but never had another one until now. He is now almost 6 yrs old. The vet showed me pictures of vomit with some blood in it and proceeded to tell me if I took Bentley home it was a 50/50 chance I was taking. I feel it was to scare me into leaving him there overnight so they could charge me way more than if I took him home. According to the vet he aspirated vomit into his lungs and she said it was now pneumonia but he was breathing fine and they were going to give him antibiotics. They put an IV on him and I asked the Vet if they could administer the first dose of antibiotics via the IV and give me the rest to give him at home. I was told if they did that they would have to charge me a hospital stay. Even though I was already being charged for putting in the IV. He stood overnight for observation. I called the next morning and the vet tech told me he had not thrown up again and was doing ok. When I spoke to the morning Vet she said Bentley was doing much better. He had eaten all his breakfast. I told her I was going to pick him up at about 3pm. She said I should leave him there at least one more day. I asked why if he was doing much better and eating. She said as a precaution. But it was so they could charge me the almost $4200 they initially quoted me if they kept him more than 24hrs. I had already paid 75% of the $4200. I opted to take him home at 3:30pm on Sunday. My new bill for him staying there less than 24 hours was $2607. I was told the office manager would issue a refund for the difference I paid. About 10 days later I receive a new bill for $2774. I email back to ask my I’m being charged more than the $2607 and I was told by the office manager they charge an additional $155 convenience fee. A fee and amount that was never mentioned to me in any of the estimated bills I received. She implied this fee was because I paid with a credit card. That they don’t charge that if you pay with cash or Zelle them the money. I have since emailed her asking her to remove that charge from my bill because it was never mentioned or explained that they charge a convenience fee for $155 for using a credit card. They also charged me $12 twice for feeding Bentley when he only ate once while he was there. The prices they charge are ridiculously high to begin with, I mean $550 for a chest XRAY but because I love my dog I had no choice but to agree to the ridiculously high charges. However to charge me extra fees that were never on any of the estimates is not acceptable. If they penalize you for paying with a credit card that should be told to customers ahead of time. I would think twice about taking your beloved pet here.
Fantastic experience: Hands down the best experience I’ve ever had at a vet!! I’ve been coming here for a while and everyone has always been amazing, but Dr. Morris and Devin are seriously the dream team. My American Bully has a lot of anxiety and can be pretty reactive, but they were so calm, patient, and gentle with her. This was by far the least stressful vet visit we’ve ever had—for both of us! Can’t thank them enough.
Fantastic experience: CC was awesome. She took care of Mr. Dave along with the staff here for a deletion of certain parts. They even stayed open to make sure we could get him when we got lost. The staff here is awesome!!! Thank you!!!!!
Negative experience: Words cannot express how disappointed ive become with Oveido. Recently i was charged nearly $300 to aspirate a lump on my dogs leg, only to get a call a few days later and told "we didnt collect enough cells to be tested, but you can bring her in for a biopsy" at full price! I have asked several times for some concession on the original service with no direct answer, so i paid $300 for nothing. Then they lost my dogs urine sample. And after all that, they declined the heartworm script for my dog for 6 months and she's had the test, so they'd rather her go without? Not happy whatsoever.
Negative experience: Overpriced and they pick and choose who they "work" with. They are the only veterinary hospital open 24hrs and they take advantage of that.
Fantastic experience: Allie's turn today for her semi-annual checkup. I'm really glad they keep track of the timing of these for me! Everyone is so great with our babies - makes me confident they'll provide the best for them. Absolutely Recommend
Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional. From reception, I could hear the woman in the back getting nasty that I brought my puppy in the building because apparently a puppy + loose stool = your puppy must have parvo. I wouldn’t have brought him in the building if he was still sick. I had a perfectly firm stool sample ready for a fecal and a puppy that had improved ten fold in less than 24 hours. He had a stressful adoption day and I was being extra cautious by making him an appt. And then she said well if he’s not sick, why are you here? Uhm.. because any responsible pet owner would have their new dog examined. Complete bait and switch, offering “free” vet visits to rescues, just to be a money grab. I should’ve known and I shouldn’t have driven 45 minutes out of my way for this experience.
Fantastic experience: They saved our Old English Sheepdog’s life! She had Pyometra, was borderline septic and had low platelets. No matter where you go it’s going to be scary in an emergency with your beloved pet and it will be expensive. The staff here is not burnt out and if they are they don’t show it to the patients at least and the care and skill is top. As long as time permits I will always make the drive to come here if we ever need emergency help again or critical care! “Thank you” doesn’t even cover how grateful we are! These pics are from immediately after we brought her home, she is recovering well!
Fantastic experience: What an excellent place with fantastic staff. They were kind, caring and very knowledgeable. The group of the reception desk and doctors are always doing their best and I very much appreciate them! I highly recommend this place if you have a pet emergency and your pet needs to see a doctor immediately.
Positive experience: I felt my dog’s care was fine and the staff was nice and professional. However, the Zelle payment did not show up on their side and the manager (who I never saw in person) kept claiming I couldn’t leave even until it did even tho I had been waiting 30 min for it to go through and showed proof on my end that it had. I finally had to just leave but felt bad that the girls working were left in that situation. How unprofessional to hold a customer hostage indefinitely because of an issue on THEIR side with the payment when it’s a method they offer. This was after I had stopped at 2 other clinics because every single one has “emergency” at the top. Please don’t advertise a location to be for emergencies if it is not.
Negative experience: Horrible place and incompetent doctors and staff. This place deserves zero stars. I brought my cat because he was experiencing pain and urinary issues. Immediately they gave me a $4,400.00 estimate with payment of $3,400.00 immediately due. The cat would need a catheter, xrays, blood work, and 3 nights at the hospital. Day 2 the vet calls and the cat is okay and we were encouraged to visit. My 19-year-old daughter went to the hospital, was directed to a room, and some person brought the cat to see us. Within 5 minutes, the catheter fell out and we notified the front desk who had someone come and return the cat. About 20 minutes later a tech called and wanted authorization signed to put the cat under anestesia again and wanted payment of another $1,300.00 for their mistake. The catheter should not fall out when the cat walks and obviously was not properly inserted. When I pushed back, I was told I agree, or they will discharge the cat. They obviously are incompetent and only care about money, even when it is their incompetence that caused this issue. Fortunately, my daughter took pictures of the cat and the attached catheter that the subsequent vet confirmed malpractice. This place needs to be stopped as they would rather see the pet die. In addition, I was told that i would be emailed the x rays, blood test results, and other tests they ran on the cat. They never emailed anything, and they probably never did them and charged for services that were never rendered. Do your research before a pet emergency happens and do not make the same mistake.
Negative experience: I have used this location in the past for my dog to be created. They were great & let me & mother stay as long as we wanted with her. The experience was overall great. I went on 10/02/24 cause my 16 y/o Yorkie passed at home from natural causes, so we wanted to have him cremated as well. The experience was awful. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with "is this an emergency, were about to close?" I said my dog passed at home & we'd like to have him cremated. We were rushed to the counter for payment. Wasn't asked any information about my dog, then brought a basket to choose an urn, which we had maybe 10 secs. before the employee came back & asked "which are you going for?" I was upset, but more so my mom, so i walked out at this point so I wouldn't add anymore stress on her. I called today to get an estimated time to pick up his ashes. The very nice lady, named Kate, couldn't find my dogs information. After 12 mins on hold, she came back on the line to go over some account information. We then concluded my dog, Spencer, was put under my previous dog, shelby's name. She then told us she would call to have the correct name updated & added on his urn & certificate. I didn't get the employees name upon our arrival cause she was rude start to finish & I was uninterested, but Kate, was very nice, patient, & professional. I had to give a 1 star rating to write this review, but I want to give none. We should have not been rushed period. The first employee needs an attitude adjustment & needs to learn how to greet grieving pet owners with more empathy, whether it's close to closing time or not! We will not go back to that location for any services in the future! We just hope & pray we get the correct ashes back for our fur baby! Again, this is a zero star rating!
Negative experience: Horrible place !!!! If I could post 0 stars I would !! All they care about is the money they don’t really care about the animals well being. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. If you don’t believe me DO your RESEARCH before or take the extra drive else where.
Negative experience: No tengo ni palabras para el trato hacia un animal no tienen ética si es que saben que es eso
Negative experience: Worst clinic ever
Fantastic experience: Great comunication and taking care of a pet (Leo Santiago). Best place
Fantastic experience: Que leo salga sano y salvo
Fantastic experience: The Staff here at Oviedo Veterinary Clinic and Emergency is wonderful . They have treated our dog son with so much care and respect . Special shout out to Kate who was so nice to us and helped momma calm down .
Fantastic experience: Open 24/7, and staff are actually there. I know, my dog was mauled, by another dog, on July 4/2024. My regular Emergency Veterinarian, did not answer the phone. I was required to leave a message. Didn't get a return call until Friday. I called several 24 hour Emergency Veterinarian hospitals. No one answered. When I called Oviedo Veterinary Emergency, a person answered. I drove from one Emergency Veterinarian, that was closed to them. Thank you Oviedo Emergency Care. For your staff and Dr. Being there for my dog (Peanut), and me. By the way, the nice young receptionist, treated my dog bite too! She : cleaned, put Neosporin on, and a nice bandage. What great service!!
Negative experience: Don’t go here if you love your pets, this place had us waiting around all day with our sick dog just to say she’s fine and still made us pay them hundreds of dollars just to find out from another vet that she was hurt and in a lot of pain. Awful Experience.
Fantastic experience: My 9-year-old chihuahua developed Pyometra, she was extremely sick, and I was terrified. I went to two different vet hospitals whose care was either nonexistent or very questionable. I happened to call this facility and was told they can treat her and to bring her in right away. I was beyond happy with the care and timely manner she was seen, all my questions were answered, and I was very confident in the surgeon I met. My fur baby was very well taken care of, and I have used this company ever since for both of my fur babe's care. I highly recommend this vet office.
Negative experience: Wish it was possible to give them zero stars they don't even deserve 1 star. A few months ago we brought 1 of our Rottweilers to them. He was having a hard time breathing and couldn't even walk. Without blood work and a 5 minute exam they gave us a quote of $8500. I knew it was a ripoff and said I wasn't paying that for a dog that didn't even have any blood work done. They told me he wouldn't make it through the night and offered to put him down. If he was going to pass he was going to do it in his home with us. After being charged $500 for a emergency visit I took him home. A few hours later we took him to our vet when they opened which is right up the road from them. After a stay of 5 days they had him back 100% for a grand total of $2500. Don't ever use this place it sickens me just driving past them.
Negative experience: I am very upset by the service received at this place. It is definitely very expensive, we paid approx $2,200 for a 24 hour stay, and we experienced a lot of negligence/oversight. We spoke to about 2 or 3 doctors during our pet's stay, and each of them had a very different diagnosis for our dog. In fact the last doctor we spoke to, sent us rushing to the cancer clinic because she could not explain why his blood cell count was so high, and recommended our next steps were to get an ultrasound and a bone marrow biopsy. On top of that, she told me that there were only 3 internal specialists in the entire state of Florida who could help us, and basically cornered us into thinking those were our only three options. Upon doing my own research, I found several other local options who could see our dog. When I mentioned that to the doctor, she was extremely upset and implied that maybe they were not "board certified" which was a false and inaccurate claim. I am not sure if they receive kickbacks from referring to their preferred clinics? Ultimately, the well being of the pet is most important, not where they are seen. We were definitely made to feel as if we were making a mistake however. On top of that, after discharging our dog, we noticed several discrepancies in our discharge paperwork. Some of the paperwork had the wrong gender for our dog, they had made notes of tests that they were awaiting results for (that they actually never ordered), and wrong medications were listed. I am truly not sure of what they actually did, and that in itself is very terrifying. But when your dog is sick, you do absolutely anything to help them, and you trust that the clinic who treated them will send you accurate records. When we checked out, they let us know that a large amount would be refunded to us since we overpaid. 48 hours went by and I had to call them myself so they could refund the money to us. Very quick to charge, slow to reimburse, and negligent with their discharge paperwork. On top of that, gave us the absolutely worst scare of our life that our dog had cancer, when an internal specialist confirmed that he does not. Please do your research! We will not be returning, and they need serious quality control.
Fantastic experience: My senior kitty was breathing funny. Of course it was Saturday and my regular vet was too busy. Alexis and Robin at reception got him in and triaged right away. Dr. Smith and David the tech kept me informed and answered all my questions along the way. I highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Our dog had been in back pain for a few days, so we decided to take her in on a holiday weekend. Robin, who I spoke with on the phone, was absolutely incredible!! She went above and beyond to get us seen quickly. The other staff members were also great and now our dog is racing all over again. Thank you Robin and OVCE! You’re our go-to from here on out.
Negative experience: This place is so bad. I want to give it a zero, but I can’t, so I give you a one. I have went to this vet two times and will never go again. They are horrible and have almost killed my dog
Fantastic experience: My Eight year-old Pomeranian was having issues. They took great care of her and ease my mind on her condition. I am so grateful for this place being around for my little fur babies!
Fantastic experience: Thank you Dr. Williams! My family is grateful to you. You were patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We have visited OVC before with 2 dogs in your continued care, but Charlee's visit with you today was hands down the best care yet. You listened to us and helped us come up with an educated solution, guaranteeing our continued patronage. Charlee thanks you!
Negative experience: When my 15 year old lab was dying we went there to put him out of misery or pain surrounded by family. The tech responded to my tearful answer to why we were there by offering tests and X-rays before we did anything “drastic”. The doctor was kind and understanding, for which we were grateful. We ordered the paw print and were not called to pick it up, as promised. A month later we called and it had been there for some time. I won’t be returning here again with my other dog.
Fantastic experience: Robin was amazing in that processing the pickup of my pets remains. We also had a great chat and she put a smile on my face. She took her time in explaining things to me and helping me understand the needs of my other fur babies. I have been a happy pet parent customer of oviedo vet and emergency in both good and bad circumstances for a few years now.
Negative experience: Stay far away from this vet unless you want to be ripped off. My dog got into gum. Fortunately I rushed her to the vet because I know how harmful it is. They told us it will be a 2-3 night stay and we signed a paper saying the highest cost will be $3400. They call us today to say they wanted to keep her another night because they decided to give her dextrose for a normal blood sugar. I’m not stupid. I’m a medical professional. My husband decides to go pick up her up because they wanted to charge another $900 to keep her and do nothing. When my husband gets there, they are making him pay $3900. He’s said that’s not what he agreed on. They go back and take stuff off that they didn’t end up doing and then adding other stuff to still make it $3700 that we owe. This place is all about money and not about the animals. They will blindside you and not update you on costs. My dog is home and acting completely fine.
Negative experience: The first experience I had here was good but the second time was the most awful experience in so many ways that ended with my dog passing away shortly after we got home. The vet and office staff lied to cover themselves too and showed absolutely no compassion. It was very traumatic for myself and my poor dog.. I advise everyone to never use this vet! It makes me sick to see they now have two brand new locations.
Fantastic experience: Sad circumstances, but the staff was super helpful and caring. They have been able to answer all my questions. I will be a forever customer after how they loved on my pet. Thank you Dr. Lucignani, Robin, Alexis L, and Bethanie!!
Positive experience: This facility is very clean and well-kept, and the staff were mainly very kind and efficient with their work. Double check the address before hand, I think the emergency location is different than the one here on Google. We took our pet to Oviedo Veterinary Care and Emergency a couple of nights ago, and she was sadly diagnosed with late stage kidney failure. The staff were VERY flexible and understanding with my personal budget in coming up with a care plan, and our first visit came out to be $400 (mostly for the tests and IV fluids administered +$150 visit fee). Our only concerns from our two visits here was that we were offered a care plan on our second visit that could've been introduced during the first one- I'm not entirely sure why it wasn't. It made us feel like her care was sort of rushed and noncomprehensive during the first visit... The bedside manner was also a bit more curt and distanced than we would have liked when receiving the diagnosis, and we could have used some extra resources for grief/ care for terminal diagnoses at home. It seems like this facility may be understaffed or spread a bit thin, just from our experience there. But I am very glad that they were there to help us out in our pet emergency!
Fantastic experience: Have not yet had the pleasure of going to this office but just by the phone call I am so happy with the service. I called in the emergency line a nervous mess to check on a symptom my 2 month old pup was having and the lady who answered the phone was so sweet and understanding of my helicopter mom ways. I can already tell this place is full of nice people. It is safe to say I am excited to bring my baby here in two months for her shots and check up. Thank you Oviedo Vet ❤️
Fantastic experience: They take good care of my waffles. They don't push services and are real about budget. Staff is nice
Fantastic experience: I've been to the Oviedo Vet Emergency Clinic 3x recently, and one time before they moved to the 2092 Church St. location in Oviedo. The emergency after hour clinic is filling a huge gap on this side of town. For the longest time there were only 2 after hour emergency animal hospitals to choose from that were not close by, and very busy! My dogs and I have had a positive experience, each time we went to the Oviedo Emergency Clinic. The front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful. The wait times to see the Veterinarians are reasonable, and we've always great care:) The prices are also fair, not over the top exorbitant prices that many of us have been experiencing with other local veterinary clinics and emergency hospitals. We are truly grateful for the Oviedo Veterinary Emergency Hospital that has moved in, it's comforting to know that there is good animal emergency hospital nearby and available at all times of the day and night. Thank you for adding this very necessary service to our community areas.
Fantastic experience: I have taken my 2 dogs to Oviedo Vet care and emergency for the past 2.5 years. They are very sweet and don’t pressure you to do anything you don’t want for your pet. My old dog does really bad with vets, but loves this place. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience: This place was amazing. Our cat was having severe constipation issues and this vet facility made an appointment for us on short notice, and had our cat back to good health less than 2 days after we made the phone call. They were very efficient and gave us all the information we could have asked for about the cat, what their plan for solving the issue was, and there were no surprises with the billing. They have payment plans available that approved us within 15 minutes of applying and the receptionists even helped us save money many times throughout the process. Excellent service all around from the receptionists, techs, and doctors. Thank you, I will definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of a vet.
Fantastic experience: I am so thankful I found this emergency vet! The entire team, from the front desk to the techs and doctors were SO helpful, kind, and thorough. They made sure to call me with updates every step of the way, and even sent me photos of my kitty so I could see how he was doing. The entire facility was spotless and organized on top of the amazing care we received. This place is the absolute best - I'll be coming here exclusively from here on out. Thank you so much to all of you wonderful animal angels! Our family appreciates you!!
Fantastic experience: First time visiting this clinic and it surpassed my expectations!! The receptionist, Alexis, was very helpful especially for fitting time into a very busy schedule for my day-of appointment. The tech, Valentina, and Dr.Kim were the best and helped my Max get back to normal! They were also very understanding and patient with both me and my pet! Definitely coming back to this clinic, can’t recommend it enough!!
Fantastic experience: Great experience from the moment we walked in we were greeted with love, great staff and can I just say how helpful they were financially at first I couldn't afford the medical bill and they worked with me. I extremely recommend this emergency place. Our visit was because my knuckle headed golden retriever got a fish hook stuck on his lip, he had to be sedated but everything was super smooth And simple. Will definitely recommending everyone I know that's in need and for future needs.
Fantastic experience: We took our little Guy #Gibbs to get looked at couldn't be more happier and pleased that we did they were very professional and Nice ! Would recommend them to anyone.. thank you Doctor Christine
Fantastic experience: I love bringing my dogs here, they are so nice to me and my dogs sassy and rocky.
Positive experience: This has been my dog’s primary vet for the past 3 years. However, they charge $41.00 for a nail trim as they charge an office visit on top of the trim. It makes no sense at all. I enjoy their services when it comes to care for my dog, but for a nail trim I will seek elsewhere.
Fantastic experience: I heard about this veterinary place from a family and I must say she was absolutely right! They are the best veterinary place I have been too. They took such good care of my dog mocha and they were so patient with me along with mocha. They diagnosed her correctly and even went the extra step to not only answer all of my questions but to give her the correct food she has needed for her issues. Although it’s far from where I live, I do not care I will be bringing mocha here for all of her needs. Thank you to the doctor and for checking up on mocha.
Fantastic experience: The staff was so nice even though they were extremely busy. Special call out to Anastasia, she was swamped with patients and phone calls non stop but never stopped being extremely Friendly and personable. I was very impressed on how she handled herself under a lot of pressure.
Fantastic experience: When our cat had a foreign body obstruction. The whole team at Oviedo, from the reptionist, nurses, veterinarian were thourough and kind. Fortunately our cat was able to pass the object without surgery, but spent a night at the vet hospital. Just wanted to say thank you to the entire staff for taking care of Al aka Mr. Amazing!! He is our baby and we love him so much.
Fantastic experience: Alexia L, Gracie, and ROBIN were so wonderful going above and beyond getting our new rescue and I all ready for our first visit!
Fantastic experience: We brought our cat late one Friday night to the emergency clinic. Everyone was very caring and gave us the time and information to make a really hard decision.
Negative experience: My 9 year old dog started yelping with any sudden movement he made for a couple days... I decided I had to take him to the ER to get answers as to what was going on and get him treatment. The first time I went, the doctor checked him and said he had a " kink" in his neck. However, something told me that the yelps, cries, and shivers, were not due to just a" kink" in his neck. I questioned this doctor, because i wanted to know what was wrong with my dog. I asked if we should have xrays done and she states " if there's something wrong with his discs, we wouldn't be able to see it anyway". I wanted to know the real issue.. After a week of taking the meds, they did absolutely nothing for him. They suggested I come back for a re-check, so we did and we saw a different doctor. He suggested we do xrays- like I wanted the first time. He came back and told me he believes my dog has IVDD. He prescribed my dog with pain meds and steroids. The steroids were the only thing that helped him get through the day. Now, I know that steroids are not a long term treatment option due to the effects it can have on the body.. so I call and ask for pain medication for my dog, and they refuse. The lady on the phone tells me that the next steps are to see a neurologist/mri. I told the lady I cant afford to see a neurologist/mri, so I requested to have a pain management medication for my dog for the TIME BEING, and the lady tells me that the doctor will have to do ANOTHER recheck. This is not right at all. Two doctors and nurses have seen my dog struggle to walk, they've seen him cry/yelp with any step he takes, they've seen the horrible condition he is in, and they need me to come in and pay for ANOTHER check up because they misdiagnosed him the first time and refuse to give him the medication he needs!? All they want is your money. They didn't care about the condition my dog is in. Its very heartbreaking to even be typing this. I ended up going to another vet and told them the horrible experience I had at this place. They immediately looked at the xrays and provided my dog with the help and assistance he needed. They gave me hope and a treatment plan for my dog. I do not recommend this place. Please, take your pets to doctors who actually care about them.
Negative experience: It’s been a year since my cat went to this place. My cat papi had surgery there for gastrointestinal and spayed due to him eating a scrunchies. My cat is very lovable and kinda spicy just like his owner. I had to go to this place because my actual vet was unable to do his surgery due to timing. So, they recommended me over here. I come from a background of Executives and understand business. They are very over price, don’t care about their patient, and very MONEY HUNGRY! My baby has had so much trauma there. When he got home he was paranoid of people coming to my front door. He will watch underneath the door to look out for peoples feet, he also started had a phobia of slippers. It took me alot to make these posts. And I did reach out to the original vet hosiptal that recommended me to that place and asked the doctor “would or did they abuse my cat ?”. She said they will not do that no matter how bad the animal is. But something in my discernment tells me otherwise. I see a lot of reviews about different cats dying at this place because they were sick etc…I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. To anyone. I’m trying to filed for an internal investigation with corporate because something inside me don’t sit right with them. I know the owner is contracted with that building. Update: Im reporting this place with BBB, and doing all my best to have this place shut down. someone or a doctor is abusing cats during surgery etc. THERES NO WAY MAJORITY OF THESE REVIEWS IS ABOUT THEIR CAT DYING THERE OR THEIR SYMPTOMS GOT WORSE, IM GOING TO DO ALL MY POWER TO SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN. They maybe telling people to write good reviews but trust and believe some will be caught. Coming from a background of a family who are directors and vice presidents, trust me MONEY TALKS!. Businesses needs to always remember you don’t know who walks in the door, who you are serving. Because it can be that ONE person who changes everything and is known in the corporate world.
Negative experience: This place is a literal scam. They are a money pit and hold your dogs ongoing medication ransom every 3 months unless you pay them hundreds of dollars for tests they don't need and aren't showing any signs of illness! Stay clear of these vet. There are tons around town who will treat you better.
Negative experience: If your pet is healthy and you're looking to keep your cost down, look elsewhere. If you want to pay to keep your pet up to the highest standard, then this place is a good fit. This was my vet of choice for about two years, but they've started prioritizing the upsell in a way that's hard to argue with but also isn't what i came in for. In fact, most of my recent visits have been involuntary, forced in order to keep my dog on her Proin prescription on 9 instead of 12 month intervals, and coupled with upsells for blood pressure and heart worm checks, even though my dog doesn't have symptoms for either. I had already felt pushed to change vets, but after a job loss in December and my most recent experience, it's become a must. I literally feel robbed. See the photo of my invoice. I paid $160 to get my healthy adult dog access to 3 months of proin with a requirement to come back and do it again before they'll give her more prescription. The justification is that proin can cause high blood pressure, but my dog doesn't show any signs of that except for when she's at the vet and they're touching her legs to get the blood pressure, like they're causing the problem that they're checking for and have no sense of generosity at all. I'm very disappointed.
Fantastic experience: We have had a bad experience at every vet we’ve taken our dog to except this one. Their vets are so knowledgeable and empathetic. We’ve taken our dog here a handful of times and they always provide the best care. They’re the only ones I trust in Central Florida.
Fantastic experience: They saved my baby boy, Spicy. Spicy was diagnosed with feline herpes from his primary vet that continued to progress from September until December 7th. We took him back into his primary 3 additional times with no additional recourse or change in medications... Out of sheer desperation, we took Spice to Oviedo Vet Care... He had lost weight, had a fever, and had severe ulcerations inside of his mouth. He was lethargic and wasn't eating. They properly diagnosed him with calicivirus and started him on treatments that saved his life, including various types of antibiotics, mouth numbing meds, pain meds, and at home fluid administering. It's been over 2 months now and Spice is finally being weaned off of the prednisolone. I 100% believe hands down that if we hadn't taken him here that our baby would have died. And yes, we've since switched primary vets. <3
Fantastic experience: Kim was an amazing med technician to my baby bearded dragon. If you have any fur babies or exotic animals that need help, Oviedo vet care and emergency is THEE place to go. God bless every staff that works here.
Fantastic experience: I volunteer with a local rabbit rescue and have rabbits of my own. This clinic usually has rabbit savvy vets on staff in the evenings after 8:00pm. I highly recommend bringing your bunny to them in an emergency. The vets are knowledgeable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and they respond quickly to rabbit emergencies as they understand that rabbits wait until the last minute to let you know they are sick. Before you go it is recommended that you call ahead to make sure a vet is there that night.
Fantastic experience: we have been going to oviedo vet since my dog, opal, was a puppy. they have been nothing but amazing every time. dr rivera especially is a QUEEN. opal has a lot of behavior issues because she’s a covid puppy and dr rivera has always been on top with helping us both with medicine and recommending a behaviorist. that behaviorist has done WONDERS for opal and it’s all thanks to dr rivera. i cannot thank her enough. we’re moving next month and will miss oviedo vet and emergency so much. they’re the best vets we’ve ever had. thank you all so much for the past 4 years.
Fantastic experience: Jenny, Dr lucignani, Robin, and Anastasia were amazing, I've been coming in often since the end of December for my cat Hillary Kitten for some urinary issues and they all have been extremely helpful and informative about my girl. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to help put their fur baby. They are amazing people.
Fantastic experience: KRISTINA and ROBIN and the whole WELLNESS staff are amazing! I’ve taken all three of our animals here since we have adopted them and they are always quick, fair, transparent and knowledgeable. I thought my animals would hate going to the vet but not OVIEDO VET CARE AND EMERGENCY WELLNESS!
Fantastic experience: Amazing staff. We called because our puppy had swallowed some plastic and when we got there the staff recognized me from the call, immediately took action and had the plastic out within 15 minutes. Robin, Dennis, and Dr.Cosgriff thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: Truly the best emergency vet in central Florida! They’ve taken unbelievable care of my little one every time we have a flare up of chronic pancreatitis. The wait is always long, but as expected. They care for her like she’s their own. All veterinarians and vet techs are great and knowledgeable. 11/10 recommend!
Fantastic experience: They have always been there for whatever my pets needed. The staff at Oviedo veterinary care are also amazing. Thank you guys for all you do and we will continue to have a good barking new year.
Negative experience: Do not ever bring you precious loved ones here, there negligence will cost you everything. This place deserves to have its doors shut for good and the license of everyone to be taken away. The staff does not care and will cover the life threatening mistakes they make. I brought my precious baby Rainia who was having trouble breathing during the night cause my trusted vet was closed. They took Rainia back and sat us in a room for hours with no updates. We had to walk out of the room to ask several times what is going on, how is she. This place was empty, I heard all technicians in another room just talking and laughing while we are suffering. ALEXIS KING performed a procedure and had the nerve to send a tech to tell us they cut it short cause she started struggling. I know my Rainia, she has had this procedure before and she is the most calm and trusting cat I’ve ever had. I knew something was wrong when they said this. Ultimately, they killed her by puncturing her lung during the procedure which I know is the reason my Rainia started struggling because now they have caused her so much more pain. ALEXIS KING and the techs did not mention anything to us, but we could tell something was wrong by her panting, which she never does. We asked again and they told us it was nerves cause they kept her in a room for hours alone with barking dogs. We took her home hoping maybe she would calm down in her safe space but nothing about her breathing changed. I stayed up all night into morning until my vet open and took her there immediately. They took an x-ray And my worst fear was confirmed. I took my baby to get help, was willing to pay anything, and they carelessly took her life. We had so many plans, she was my best friend, I would’ve done anything for her, I just wanted her to feel better. I called this place multiple times to tell them what they did and why they refused to tell us there mistake and they have every excuse on the planet and will not own up to it, just to cover themselves. ALEXIS KING refused to speak to me by her techs telling me that night she is in the bathroom and will be a while. They said she can call us, and we agreed but as expected, incompetent ALEXIS KING never called. Animals do not have a voice, we are the voice for them, we are the ones to protect them from everything. My Rainia was my soul mate, best friend, and had so much unconditional love. All I wanted was to help my Rainia and this place took that from me. Do not ever take your animal here, your baby will receive the worst, most disgusting care and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. My family is forever devastated and we will forever miss our Rainia.
Fantastic experience: We would like to thank the Oviedo Veterinary Hospital for the prompt care with our kitten Honey who was only 37 days old but we tried everything to save her. Unfortunately, she became a little star and we were very sad to see her soon leave. We rescued her from the street with some health problems and unfortunately she left. But our review is to thank the entire hospital team for kindly sending this beautiful card written by several hospital professionals and especially for leaving us a memory of Honey with her little paws and nose. May it multiply by clinics and hospitals that understand that a small animal is part of our lives and that the feeling of grief is the same as losing a human being (at least for our family). We were very moved. Gratitude to everyone!
Fantastic experience: We needed a last minute appointment for our senior chihuahua, who was not eating and had constipation for several days. She ended up having pancreatitis and needing hospitalization for a few days. The hospital was clean and we were helped right away. Everyone who handled her case from the front desk to the vets was kind, understanding and genuinely seemed to love animals. The veterinarians Dr. Clark and Adams gave us options and explained how and why things were needed. The initial tech Andrea, sat with us and answered all of our questions and provided revised estimates so we could decided what to do. Angeline, Robin and Liz all called regularly to let us know how she was doing and what to expect next. She was only there 2 days but I definitely felt like she was being cared for by someone who loved her. I hope to never see them again because it means one of my pets is sick but I'm glad to know of this location because in an emergency I know I can depend on this hospital to be open and care about my pet if I do need to bring them in.
Fantastic experience: The staff is fantastic so helpful, kind and responsive! When you have to bring your pet to a place like this you are already upset and nervous. The entire staff here helps to make you and your pet feel comfortable. Dr Cosgrill, Dr L and Dr Smith all worked on our pup and all three were fantastic and easy to talk with and did a great job of explaining in terms we could understand what was going on.
Fantastic experience: This hospital was a God send! I mean that. I had called my vet and another animal hospital first and neither could help me. Each of them directed me to the Oviedo Vet Emergency clinic. My teacup Yorkie woke up unable to walk. Her back legs kept dropping and I was so worried and nervous, my hands could barely dial the animal hospital due to how much they were shaking. From the person on the phone to the actual doctor’s visit, they made me feel confident in their care. They were so kind, caring and attentive. They took my dog in right away and were so gentle. They significantly eased my nerves. The reception was amazing, the techs were very nice and listed carefully. Dr. Osman was very observant, thorough, gentle and conservative in his approach. He evaluated my dog carefully and as he did he could feel a spasm in her hip and back. He gave her a light stretch and massage and she started walking again. We left some medication that significantly helped her. I’m so grateful for this animal hospital and their caring and professional staff.
Fantastic experience: My dog has twice needed the emergency overnight care provided by the Ovieido Vet Care and Emergency. Both times I was impressed with the kindness and empathy shown by all the staff, vet techs, and vets. They're all great. I need to give a special shout out to my latest helpers, Robin, Asia, Liz, and Dr Caja who all deserve raises. Robin and Asia work the front desk and it's a very had job dealing with the constant emergencies and the terrified pet parents whose babies are sick but they do it with kindness and humor. And of course all the staff there from the tech who warmed up some chicken to help my dog eat after surgery to the vet who removed a giant clump of fur from my dog's stomach to save her life. And all the people inbetween who cleaned up after her and changed her IV bags. Animal care is a really hard job especially for animal lovers. They get the joy of saving animals but also the misery of losing others and dealing with the horrible fact that some people will dump their animals off at vet offices and groomers and just never return. It's a very hard job emotionally but I'm so thankful for all the workers who do it anyways and I can count on my baby being well taken care of at this location by a staff full of animal lovers. Thank you so much for saving my baby twice.
Fantastic experience: Even though we had to wait. It was Friday and they had emergencies. If my pet was that emergency, I'd want them cared for! Dr. Fernanda was so sweet and kind. Tech was also. I'm moving our 3 other kitties to this Dr. / office.
Fantastic experience: They were super compassionate and very efficient. My dog had bloody diarrhea and with his medication he was feeling all better thank you guys
Fantastic experience: You guys are amazing brought bubbles in to get inspected after a fight with something in the woods. Took her right in an she's still here because of you guys! Thank you will be back for any other needs!
Fantastic experience: Friendly staff who truly care about what they do. They helped us at a tough time for our kitty. They helped us get an echocardiogram locally! We were waiting 5 months for an appointment in Gainesville and it turns out Veterinary Specialty Solutions, near the Florida Mall, offers echos and at an affordable price.
Fantastic experience: I had to take my best friend of 11 years to this hospital earlier today and we ultimately had to put her at peace after she was diagnosed. The staff was extremely comforting during this tough time and even provided a little "forbidden" plate of food for her to enjoy one last tasty treat, even tuna which is her favorite. That gave us one great last memory with her to cherish.
Fantastic experience: The doctors and staff were comforting and helpful when we had to take my daughter's cat in for some tummy trouble. We were out of there in just a couple hours. The facility is clean and very nice!
Fantastic experience: I am with Five Friends Animal Rescue and everybody at Oviedo emergency vet services has been amazing to us! Robin is actually the best they're so kind professional and helpful. We really appreciate them and everything that they do!
Fantastic experience: They were so caring and helpful with our needs. Not unreasonable prices with clean and comforting facility. I'll definitely utilize again if needed. Thanks to the people who helped with the passing of China, our 14 yr old Pit. It wasn't easy however the ppl there made us feel very at ease. We appreciate the staff very much, Thanks for everything!
Fantastic experience: The best care I have ever received for my animals period. The minute I walked in I was greeted by the sweetest angels Robin and Asia. They immediately comforted me while I was freaking out. The energy was amazing I’ve never seen Booboo so comfortable in a vet. Every transaction with my animal was filled with love and it was absolutely perfect. Dr. Williams was absolutely amazing and is the angel that saved Booboo’s Pneumonia from progressing. She gave me a breakdown after all the tests and exams and worked with me to check if it was affordable for me. I was financially struggling as well so they recommended a care credit plan that had no interest for the 1st 6 months. I left with a weight lifted off my chest having the Vet explain every single thing to me in transparency. This is the communication pet parents need ❤️ Booboo is doing a lot better now and back to being the troublesome little monster she is but I’d rather have that than anything else. From my whole heart I love this clinic and the angels that helped me at 3am while I was freaking out. Oviedo vet clinic has my heart ❤️
Fantastic experience: Very nice stuff. Never been to a veterinary until now our first pet. But overall I had an excellent service and I highly recommend. Stuff is very polite and very knowledgeable. I get better service than I got at my physicians lol
Fantastic experience: Switched from Banfield to Oviedo vet care! (Emergency visit exam was $150 during normal business hours). My dog was having an emergency & Banfield turned me away (even with my dog being on the Banfield special care plan). Oviedo vet got me in as soon as I came in, did a thorough assessment without pushing unnecessary tests, and got my pup the care she needed. I called a few days later to request a medication refill, and the team made it super easy to get the refill approved & quick pick up. Shout out to Dr. Coggriff, Robin, Kate, and Krystell for helping me out!!
Fantastic experience: we took our 15 yr old rescue, Mr Kitty, in for an evaluation. We knew he was not doing good. The staff was attentive and as quick as they could be. Dr Michael Osman was thorough, precise, and compassionate. We will take our sweet boy home and have him leave us in the comfort of his loving home. Would recommend this emergency group to everyone.
Fantastic experience: When my dog ate my prescription medicine this emergency clinic was so quick to get us in and took excellent care of my baby! Very friendly staff and we were seen immediately. I was especially grateful for this after being turned away from the emergency clinic close to my house.
