Experiencia positiva: I’ve been going here for a few years. I’d say front desk staff is professional and high performing, friendly 80-90% of the time, the vet techs are really good, it’s a newly renovated clinic, and the overall care is good, though one must endure the high end of high city prices for vet care here. I had trouble connecting with the veterinarians themselves however, initially just due to some turnover early on/ getting switched around that eventually stabilized. However, I had most difficulty appreciating Dr. Santiago’s bedside manner and ability to provide empathy or practical help to me as I navigated what felt to me like really challenging and overwhelming health issues with my senior cats. I would recommend Wicker Park Vet Clinic to others, but given the trajectory of care I happen to have received, I’ve decided to look elsewhere for care.

Experiencia fantástica: New waiting room is awesome! There were dividers to keep nervous pets separate from other animals. Dr Santiago is kind and knowledgeable. I've taken my baby daughter (cat) there twice now for checkups and they were fast and caring. They never fat shamed my cat and gave the the info to get her down 2lbs and also help her gingivitis. Reasonably priced. About 400 for multiple vaccines (including the 3 year rabies shot), blood work, and urinalysis.

Experiencia fantástica: We have been going to Wicker Park Vet for two years. While it took a bit to get in as a new patient, it was worth the wait! The staff is always so responsive and friendly, which I really appreciate and speaks volume of how wonderful this place is. Dr. Singleton is also so attentive and really listens to all your concerns. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I am so grateful for the care my rescue dog receives here! Maggie is dog reactive, and they got her in and out no issues even before the construction, and now it’s even easier. Maggie doesn’t always get a lot of love (she’s a pittie, ugh) - but she has many fans here. Sabrina goes out of her way to say hi every time we are in and it makes my day. Doing things like vet appointments can be really stressful with her, and Wicker Park Vet meets me, and sweet Maggie, where she is at. (Despite the fact she looks suspicious here!)

Experiencia positiva: Mostly good experiences here. However one time they charged me for a cone that I didn't want and made me wait in a room for 20 minutes until they brought me the thing I didn't want. It never occured to them to ask if i wanted it or if I wanted to wait an absurd amount if time for the stupid cone.

Experiencia fantástica: We've been going to this clinic for over a year now, since our pup was just a few weeks old. Every time we go there, I'm blown away by the great care our dog receives. The staff is helpful and kind, and the docs are very competent. You can immediately see that everyone absolutely loves dogs. We always feel that our concerns are heard and taken seriously. Getting our girl spayed was worrying us sick, but Dr. Milkowski and the team did a wonderful job, everything went very well, and the recovery was smooth. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommended!

They did a fine job with our cats tooth extraction but bedside manner/follow up on surgery and communication before and after the surgery were all severely lacking. Spent thousands of dollars and just left not feeling too good about the overall experience.

Experiencia negativa: If you visit these facilities with a cat DO. NOT. VISIT. DR. MAKOWSKI. Wicker Park Vet was a great vet when my cat and I were visiting Dr Darcy. The clinic does not prioritize cats, and may be a great place as a dog parent, but as a cat parent they will prescribe you the same wipes every time, and kick you out the door spending $100+. I went as a regular patient, had been visiting for 5 years, my cat was having issues with her anal glands. They proceeded to take her to the back, and come back dramatically, almost making me feel responsible, that my cat had bitten the vet. I would think when sticking a foreign object up an animals nether regions, you would set up some kind of restraints for them, but apparently it was my fault. My cat would have to be drugged, per my expense, if she was to return. We had never had any issues with any vet, (she is adopted and has visited Animal Cruelty Society) any babysitter, or any visitor. I was treated like my cat was violent when it was neglected proper care. After being condescendingly explained what anal glands are, they sent me home saying there is no problem and sold me a fecal test. I dropped off the test and heard no response of any kind. (after being a patient of 5+ years) they like to say they have the wrong email for me but i receive all of their other emails. They said they "forgot to attach the medical results" when i called, when I received no email period, while receiving marketing emails inbetween. She is now experiencing extreme issues to her anal area, after being told nothing was wrong and that she was a violent cat that needed to be drugged if she was to enter the facility again.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been bringing my dogs here for four years and have always had excellent experiences. Today we laid my dog Jake to rest and it was a very smooth experience. From scheduling, to Dr. Darcy’s kindness to the assistants who gave him French fries from their own lunch. It’s good to know he was taken care of in death as well as he was in life at this clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful clinic & staff! There was a short wait to get in as new patients but it was worth waiting for. Staff are great at explaining how to schedule visits and deposits and things. The vet was super nice and spent a lot of time talking through all of my questions. She was also very upfront about the costs of each service and I was able to pick and choose what we thought made the most sense- something I’ve struggled to find at other vet clinics in the city. I’m very happy to have found a good place for my dog and cat to get quality care!

Experiencia positiva: Tyson was earlier seen by Dr. Shortridge, she was great!! Unfortunately for us, she relocated to FL. He was later assigned to Dr. Darcy (never met her). On Tue, 08/13/24, I called for an appointment - possible ear infection. Tyson displayed the classic symptoms - shaking his head on/off, redness in both ears (more left>right). Earliest appointment offered was Fri, 08/16. Front Desk's advice was to wait, they only had slots for last minute urgent/emergency care. We knew Tyson was in discomfort, took him to VEG, North Ave. He was treated for a bacterial infection. On 07/01/24, I scheduled his Wellness appt for Sep 12, 10am. On 09/11 morning, I was informed of Dr. Darcy's illness (COVID, hope she gets better soon). They proceeded to cancel 09/12 appt w/o checking his records, offering a backup. I mentioned Tyson's shots were to expire 09/14, need updated records for Daycare, Boarding & Grooming. Now, we are assigned to Dr. Mullin, 09/13 appt (have not met her either). My issues mainly pertain to the Front Desk, scheduling. They do not seem to understand the gravity of the situation.

Experiencia negativa: I am truly disappointed with my experience at this vet. As I was doing research, I found that this Vet has a great google rating. It was very important to bring my new golden retriever puppy to a good vet for his monthly vaccines. First, I made an appointment. The individuals handling appointments are very nice people. A few days later, I was deciding if Pet Insurance would be worth it for a puppy. I decided to ask this vet the price of their vaccines, so I could make the decision. This vet would give zero transparency into their pricing. This was the first red flag. I decided to go into the appointment and gas light myself that this is normal, maybe they don't know, etc... Then I get to the appointment, and they bring us into the exam room. The first thing the vet asks is if it is okay to give him a treat in order to keep him distracted during the exam. Please note, he did not have a bunch of energy at this point, but we said, "yeah, that's fine". Mind you, my puppy at the time was about 10 weeks old. The vet put down a foot long line of dog cheese whiz. My puppy really liked it, then they put down another line. At this point they are almost done with the exam and the vet tech comes in opening a can of wet dog food to put on a lick pad to keep him distracted... You can likely see that my puppy has now had a lot of new food to eat and shame on me for trusting the vet and not stepping in and asking, "don't you think all of this new food will upset his stomach?" For 4 days, he had diarrhea all day and night. We bring him back to the vet, and they try to send him home with new digestive wet dog food (my puppy has been on canidae dry food his entire life). I asked the vet tech, don't you think the food will upset his stomach even more? He suggested I try one can and if his stomach is still upset to stop. Needless to say, I lost all trust in this vet, did not feed him the dog food and my puppy was better the next day with probiotics. I have since changed vets. In summary, maybe this vet is rated good because of the older dogs, but take your puppy somewhere else!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been coming here for the past 4+ years--first with my elderly maltipoo when we first moved to Chicago, and now with my fiesty young chihuahua. Dr. Darcy has been amazing! Very kind, empathetic, and puts my mind at ease. The staff is also very kind and responsive as well. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: We’ve been taking our Berner here for 2 years! Dr. Cohen is awesome and the staff at both Wicker and Highland Park are the kindest people! They always send emails checking in on our dog after all of his visits ♥️

Experiencia negativa: I called this clinic for information on seeing my dog as a new patient and the person on the phone was extremely short and disinterested in sharing much detail. She referenced me multiple times to the site to make an appointment, but was very hesitant to share details with me on pricing or what exams consisted of. "Like I said before, we can discuss pricing once you are in with your dog" is what she relayed to me. When I persisted on pricing she said, "I'll have to look that up manually" as if it were a burden. I don't know about other dog owners, but I'm uncomfortable paying for an exam at a clinic without knowing details on what charges I will have. I'll be going elsewhere

Experiencia fantástica: They have been so great to my cat! From overall exam to tooth extraction procedures, they’ve been so kind through it all. My cat has been dealing with over grooming for awhile now and this has been the first vet that actually took the time to look deeper into it. Others have just said “stress” and done nothing more. They have so much patience and take the time to figure out a solution.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place! I have been taking my pets here for several years, I think close to 10 years now. Previously my dog Zoe who is now longer with me but she was always a happy patient! Currently I have 3 cats, all of which visit here. My most recent experience: My middle cat who is 3 years old has a gum disease that exposed the root of some of his teeth. He had to have oral surgery to remove 4 teeth. He was in a lot of pain and I was happy the Dr was able to get him in sooner than expected. The surgery was a huge success and he is so happy to not be in chronic pain anymore. Thank you WP Vet for always caring for my pets and providing the best quality of customer service. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I've only gone to Wicker Park Veterinary for a few months and they've already done so much for me. My rescue Walter is usually petrified of the vet, but has now tried to drag me over to the vet just to say hello. They were patient when he was really agitated getting his blood drawn and worked with me to figure out the right medication to have calm visits. Most recently, I woke up realizing I'd left his anxiety meds at mother's house in Indiana. I called the vet and had replacement meds in hand within an hour, and was still able to make my flight that morning. Walter and I appreciate them so much!

Experiencia fantástica: Came to them on a recommendation from a neighbor. Could not be happier. Great staff, great doctors, great techs. Everything ran perfectly on time even though they spend plenty of time talking through histories and answering any questions we may have. Had an emergency literally 5 days after our first visit and they were able to get us in quickly, get my dog diagnosed, and got surgery scheduled- all within a few days. Grateful to have found them!

Experiencia fantástica: Love this office and everyone who works here. I moved out of state for 8 years and when I moved back I brought my dogs back here because it was familiar and I'm so glad I did. Dr Mowry is an outstanding doctor. During our first visit she was so patient and thorough with my three dogs. She had clearly read all three of their histories and recalled reading things from their transferred vet records as she examined them. She is incredibly knowledgeable and was great at solving some ongoing issues I've had with my dogs and educating me on them. The vet techs and assistants are equally great. The front desk team is amazing as well. They are incredibly helpful and patient with me when I bring my herd of three dogs in and we are causing pure chaos. I've already gone back multiple times for follow-ups and the level of quality of this clinic is consistently amazing.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Mullin is the best. Extremely thorough, kind, and calm, which really helps my anxious beagle get what needs to be done, done! She addresses every concern and makes my dog (and me!) feel at ease. She is a wonderful doctor and I can’t thank her enough for the great care she takes for my baby girl. Dr Cohen has been my dog (Russell's) vet for 10 years now and I credit Dr Cohen for saving my dogs life during a time when my dog was in need of emergency care. Dr Cohen and staff are top notch!!

Experiencia negativa: Wow just wow. Read the entire review!!!! I’d give zero stars if I could. A month ago I was running late for a vet apt for my cat that had a UTI. There was insane traffic due to construction. I called and they said I had a 15 minute grace period I arrived 1 minute before and when the front desk person went and spoke to the doctor they said I need to reschedule. And may I say the front desk is very cold when speaking to clients. Just very rude . They should have never said there was a grace period of that isn’t true. I left and went to another vet immediately and Eventually wrote a bad review of the experience. HERES the kicker. I called a month later for my other pet for a teeth cleaning since she has been there before. They scheduled it which when i called to ask questions it was scheduled wrong. Incompetence again. It was a check up not a cleaning. They were going to call me back and when they did, I (and all 3 of my pets) was BLACK LISTED from going back ever BECAUSE I left a bad review about the staff being inefficient. So now all 3 lost their ability to come back. Be aware that you will be “punished” for sharing your thoughts on a review.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve had experience with a few different vets in chicago, but when Wicker Park Vet opened in our neighborhood, we found our home. A lot of vets can feel business first, and that’s just not the case here. They’ve taken incredible care of my pets over the years. I’ve lived in LA for the last 5 years, and continue to bring my dog Bomber to see Dr Mullin, as we come home often. I give her a hug pretty much every time I see her. Because she’s simply the best.

Experiencia negativa: My dog got bit in our neighborhood by another dog, and I was searching for a place where I could take him quickly to be evaluated. It was a minor bite, so emergency vet services were not going to be required. I’m new to the neighborhood and called Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic to see if they would be able to evaluate my pup. After explaining the situation, the person who answered said “if you aren’t a patient here, we’re booking 2 weeks out.” No compassion for the situation, no attempts to help, nothing. “Is your dog okay” was not uttered once. After an Uber ride and quick call to West Loop Vet (I can’t say enough great things about them) my boy’s usual staff were able to get him in and treat him. The lack of empathy at Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic is astounding. While I was considering switching vets to have one closer to my new home, I’ve decided I’ll gladly make the trip back to west loop to be treated with care.

Experiencia fantástica: Best vet in Chicago. We have been seen by all of the vets on staff and find their care above and beyond. The prices are also very reasonable and fair. We have been coming here since 2013 and highly recommend them. They have fantastic follow-up and always make sure your pets are doing well after a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Always a pleasure at Wicker Park Vet. We see Dr. Singleton but I’ve witnessed some of the interactions of the other vets with their patients and I would gladly see any of them. The techs are all awesome too. Desk staff can be hit or miss but I’m never really bothered by it. They seem like they’re pretty busy most of the time so I think I get it.

Experiencia fantástica: I cannot adequately express my gratitude towards Dr. Lieberman and every Vet Tech and associate I spoke with at Wicker Park vet. I had recently found out that my cat Corduroy had end stage renal cancer after a very emotional visit to an Emergency Vet. I brought Corduroy in as a new patient to this practice to seek the guidance from a Vet for how to handle his palliative care and end of life decisions. At my first visit, Dr. Lieberman treated us with such kindness, compassion and patience. It was clear she had already reviewed all his blood work and scans and the report I had sent from our ER visit. She walked us through every outcome and option, it took the weight of everything off my shoulders and gave me the confidence to enjoy my final days with my boy. Sadly, he only made it 2 more days and we brought him back to say goodbye. The clinic made time on their busy Saturday to accommodate this, and treated us like family. They didn't rush any part of the process and let us have time in our private room to say goodbye and cry. Everyone was so compassionate at the end of our visit, the entire team knew just what to say to help us feel better and confident about such a horrible decision to have to make. It is hard to decide if you should say goodbye with an in home visit or by going into the vet office, but I am so grateful we made the decision to go to the office. There was so much love and support that made all the difference in the world to us. I will absolutely be bringing my other senior kitty and future new kitty to Dr. Lieberman for preventative care and annual visits. This has been the most positive experience with a vet I've ever had, despite the sad circumstances. Thank you to everyone at Wicker Park Vet for all of your help and support. You are amazing people.

Experiencia fantástica: Wicker Park vet were our doctor for our senior dog for 5 years, and now they are the doc for our current pup. All Associates, doctors, and technicians are very friendly, and they 5 be able to accommodate our urgent and last-minute requests all the time. Free parking is a bonus. Experiencia fantástica: The vets and vet techs are kind, helpful, and have great follow through. I can always get appointments when I need them and they’re generous with their time, knowledge and skill set. I’ve recently had to learn how to give subcutaneous fluids at home for my dog and I’ve been really squeamish about it. They’ve trained me and retrained me! And have been really compassionate and patient with me.

I did not feel rushed or pressured into making decisions in the spur of the moment like I have at other vets in the past. The pricing here is very reasonable as well. Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Darcy is the best! So personable, compassionate and has a great bedside manner. I took Princess in for her first annual after being feral for years. Princess is a mid-aged short hair, Grey Tabby. She had a rough life outside. One day I got off work very late (11pm) and seen this grey animal approaching me. As I live in the city, I had to park my car 2-3 blocks away from my home. Princess followed me all the way to my door. It was at that point that I fell in love with this beauty. At our visit, Dr. Darcy was knowledgeable, very friendly and had a gentle approach with Princess. Her assistant, Leslie was a sweetheart and assisted Dr. Darcy with such love and compassion. As today is my birthday, I braced for bad news, but Dr. Darcy was so encouraging and just amazing! Although Princess and I have to wait for her blood work results, I am very confident that Dr. Darcy will get my beautiful fur baby back to good health. I will never switch to another Veterinarian. Dr Darcy and her assistant were just amazing! Thank you so much for everything!

Experiencia fantástica: This review is long overdue but can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mullins and the staff. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and reliable and always went an extra mile to make things easier/safer/better for me and my dog. Prices and the workup was always very reasonable. I knew my dog was always in good hands with Dr. Mullins and we were very sad to move away. Can’t recommend enough!

Experiencia fantástica: I recently adopted a new cat and wanted to switch vets as I had a horrific experience at previous vet clinic. I’d heard excellent reviews from friends, and all I can say is wow. I brought my little guy in as he was a bit sleepier than he had been, and they were able to run blood work in house, actually had time to answer my questions, and helped quell any anxiety I had. The front desk even called a day later to check in and see how he was doing. Highly recommend if you are looking for a vet in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: I love this vet. They are so thorough in examining my dog, remembering her allergies without me prompting before giving her treats, and explaining all my treatment options. They also aren't as expensive as others in the area. The front desk staff are super friendly and will work to find an appointment time for you.

Experiencia fantástica: I had my first visit here today, and would highly recommend them. The staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. The Dr. was considerate and attentive to answer any questions I had. The convenient parking is a plus! I was having issues with my carrier, and my cat managed to open the door and get out while I was loading her back in the car. I'm grateful for the kind clients and staff members who saw this, and helped me wrangle her and secure her back in the cage.

We followed our old vet here after the previous clinic was bought by a large national chain who seems to only be interested in making more money off your pet. Wicker Park Vet is NOT that. Everyone here is kind, understanding, and flexible. Our pets don't mind coming here, and they even cut the pills in half for you

Experiencia negativa: So this vet turned us away because our dog was healthy the last 3 years and mind you we have been going to them for many years. So because we didn't make any appointments in those 3 years when we did need to be seen today they turned us away. The reason they gave us was that since we haven't been there in 3 years we have now been classified as New patients and they are not taking new patients and we need to go to another vet. This is how they treat long time customers and they are just bothered that they didn't get a chance to charge us in those 3 yrs for anything. Be happy that my dog is healthy and not that he wasn't sick and you couldn't get money from us. Could you imagine if you went to your physician and he turns you away because you were healthy the last 3 years.

Experiencia positiva: While the level of competence and care of the vets was great, I made a (huge) mistake in using one of their front desk employees as a pet sitter, which I won’t ever do it again. I trusted this individual because she worked in my vets office and told me she provided this service for several others, but after some concern over her possibly not showing up every day to feed cats, I set up cameras around my home. Oh my!!!! What I caught on camera was in fact extremely disturbing. Using my shower (no she was not staying overnight, simply once a day pet visit to feed and scoop boxes), wearing her towel (thank the lord she AT LEAST brought her own…yuck!) around while drinking beer. Yeah, completely unprofessional. But the biggest issue was that she was not showing up daily though she was getting PAID! to do so…so basically stealing!! Definitely unacceptable. Since this someone works in a vets office I would’ve expected a higher respect for animals but allowing them to go hungry is not okay. Even worse, I have an automatic dry food feeder so I could’ve been feeding that way if she had just informed me she wouldn’t be visiting every day. Shameful. Looking back there were obvious clues (like she was no longer friendly or engaging when I went in for appointments or to pick up food and now I know why). Though I learned a lesson, it’s terrible that it had to come at the expense of losing a great vet. Just could not stand the thought of being in this disrespectful person’s presence and trusting I wouldn’t say something to her at her job which would have been wrong on my part. So instead I waited a few years and posted it online for the world to see. Oh well! Hopefully if others are using this person’s pet sitting services they’ll take more precautions.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately had to move my dog out of their care, they were great at the beginning, but seem to have difficulties with appropriate staffing or moving appointments but would get upset when it unfortunately didn’t work out for the dogs owner time frame. Additionally, I don’t think they liked that I took my dog to get neutered elsewhere but when I asked to schedule a post operative follow up to ensure his incision was healing properly was told they couldn’t do it. Really? I’m not asking you do anything but examine him and make sure he is okay. It’s not like I was asking you to do it for free or anything. Just wild. To turn down care to an animal because you didn’t get to bill the entire service (which I am sure is a real money maker for them) is ridiculous and incredibly self serving. Not great for emergencies, staff not that great and was very condescending in my conversations with them. Outside of a normal vaccine I would never recommend them for anything else.

Experiencia fantástica: Wicker Park Vet is just the BEST. Our doctors were both Dr. Mawry and Dr. Mullin. They were both fabulous - helping our Bernese Mountain Dog with severe anxiety, post a GDV/Bloat emergency surgery, neutering, and general care. They both answered ALL of our questions with care and compassion. More broadly, the entire staff at WPV is just the best - they are responsive and kind. We cannot recommend Wicker Park Vet enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Around seven years ago one of my male cats was having trouble urinating, I did a quick search for vets in my area and found WPVC. Dr. Cohen was extremely straightforward, gave optional paths for care, and was very loving to Bo. A few years passed and my older male cat Chase started losing weight and having all the signs for diabetes. Dr. Mullin was assigned to Chase and we are truly blessed to have her. I have seen this doctor literally run to me and grab Chase while he is having a hypoglycemia episode. Dr. Mullin has spent her time researching and contacting specialist just to better assist Chase. Her calming voice, and professional demeanor is above par. She is a superhero. The staff who sit behind the desk are fantastic, they're extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I can be hard to please and I am overprotective of my cats. I can say with my heart of hearts I have had zero issues at Wicker Park Vet Clinic. Chase met the end of the road and we arranged to bring him in to see Doctor Mullin for his final visit. The staff all came in to give us their condolences and tell us how much they will miss Chase visiting. It was a very sad evening, we are so thankful to have this clinic to depend on. Thank for being our vet clinic.

Experiencia fantástica: I would give them more stars if I could. I have had only positive experiences taking my cat here and highly recommend! Getting an appointment has never been a problem for me, and “sick” visits have been available the same or next day (once it was with a different doc than usual, but she was great too). Doctors are knowledgeable and provide thorough advice, in addition to diagnoses and treatments. My cat requires a prescription food and picking that up has been very easy. Even when it’s out of stock, they seem to get it in quickly. As far as their COVID response, I couldn’t be more impressed. It’s as close to no contact as you can get. When you arrive, you just park your car in their lot (never been a space issue for me) and give them a call. You explain to the vet tech what’s going on with your pet. Then they meet you at the front door to take your pet inside and you relax in your car. You never have to enter the building! When they’re done, the vet calls you and fills you in on everything, let’s you ask questions, etc. You pay over the phone, then head back to the door to pick your pet up!

Experiencia fantástica: We have a COVID adoptee, so we've had the strange experience of becoming clients without stepping foot inside. I'm really pleased with their safety protocols. They also make drop off/pickup very convenient with their procedures and parking lot. The follow up has also been thoughtful - emails and calls to check on our dog after a visit. Dr. Cunz has an excellent rapport with him. She makes us believe he is her favorite patient. She explains everything really clearly to us, and I know he's getting great care.

Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, I'm afraid WPVC may have grown too quickly for it's own good. I used to love this vet, but recently I've had a number of bad experiences. Vet techs not knowing if my dog has finished his scheduled medications, long wait times in front of their offices trying to get a hold of anyone to let my dog in for a scheduled appointment, treatments that don't seem to solve the ailment, just a poor experience overall. It's a bummer, but I'll likely be looking for a new vet for my dog pretty soon if things don't improve.

Experiencia fantástica: We have 2 dogs, one is anxious the other is pretty chill. We chose this vet for our anxious pup and they have been so patient and caring towards both of them! COVID makes for challenges, but they have made themselves available for questions via a detailed phone call after the appt and an email with recommendations from our conversation. Love this! You can tell they really care about your pets and want the best for them. You can trust them, from the techs to the Vets.

We switched when we moved - it’s always nerve wracking when you know you have to search for and find another team of people to care for your fur babies...but WPVC has been wonderful since the first time we even called to make an appointment! The entire staff really care about each pet that comes in, their service is lightning fast and efficient whether you’re in the office, calling or querying via email. Their fees are also more than reasonable, which is a huge plus in a big city! We will be lifelong customers! Thank you for always taking such wonderful care of your customers and their pets!

Even though the visit was curbside, the vet took so much time and care with me and my new puppy. She was thorough and did not rush me through my many questions when we spoke on the phone! She even sent an email after our conversation with more resources. Winnie and I will definitely be back to this vet!

They are so attentive to my cat's needs and are helpful when there have been any issues regarding her health. Experiencia fantástica: The staff and vet were able to attend to our emergency with our chihuahua. They were professional and very compassionate to our concerns. The dog was handled with great care to minimize her pain. After the exam the vet provided us with the truth and follow-up options. Unfortunately we received bad news about the true nature of her condition. We opted to bring her home to spend the time that is left with her. She provided pain medication and antibiotics to make her more comfortable. We are truly grateful for their compassionate service and highly recommend this facility. We will be back with our future pet for her healthcare too.

We have been bringing our puppy here since we got her at 8 weeks old, and right from the start they have been nothing but amazing! Dr. Mullin has always been so patient and kind with us and our crazy Kona, answering all of my emails and questions so quickly and treating our girl like her own. The front desk staff is the sweetest group of people in the world, too! They always call the day after a visit to see how Kona is doing and to answer any questions. Kona is a bit mischievous (1/2 lab, 1/2 golden retriever), so we had an incident about a month ago where she had to have surgery to remove a giant rock from her stomach that she ate (yay, puppies!). Dr. Mullin and the staff were incredible - they fit her in immediately, kept us updated, and took amazing care of our girl. Dr. Mullin had great instructions for after care for us and took her time explaining everything and answering our questions. She really made the whole process so much easier and less stressful! Lastly, they are by far the most affordable vet around especially considering the wonderful care they give. I'd pay a lot more for what they offer, but I sure am glad i don't have to :). Look no further - they are the best around!

A routine checkup took about 15 minutes, and the front desk made payment and paperwork a breeze. Also helpful was the parking right out front and separated dog and cat waiting areas. Experiencia fantástica: You can FEEL the love and care the doctors and staff have for every animal that walks in there. We were getting wishy washy answers with our previous vet and decided to move our dog over to Wicker Park Vet. Our Olde English Bulldog recently beat a bad case of pneumonia that our previous vet kind of glossed over as an allergy... Since then she has been seeing Dr Cohen who has been very thorough with her, offering several alternatives and really considering our best options. Great care, very reasonably priced, Amazing staff.

During the first visit for our older pup, he seems to be much more comfortable around Dr. Mullin than past vets and doesn't get quite as nervous. We also appreciate how responsive Dr. Mullin's been whether it's via phone or email. She's been great when it comes to any questions big or small we might have regarding the pups. The staff at the front desk is good but not always on the same page as the doctors. Only thing I'd suggest is checking your bill as we had a discrepancy in amount charged for surgery and what was agreed upon. Luckily they took care of it after a bit of back and forth. Other than that don't really have anything negative to say about this one. What's nice about this clinic is they have their own parking which makes it easy to bring in the pups and not having to worry about street parking. 'Til next time!

Experiencia negativa: I initially came to Wicker Park Vet in late 2018 for a second opinion. I completely trusted Dr. Mullin with my senior dog's care. Their pricing is quite reasonable. Last October, my dog was unable to walk or eat. I was told it was time to put him down. They couldn't guarantee availability for in-home euthanasia, so I scheduled with Compassionate Veterinary Hospice. During his home visit, the vet suggested some medication changes before resorting to euthanasia. It's now January, and my dog is still alive, eating well, and getting around better than he has in years. Hospice continues to oversee his care. I enjoyed my time with Wicker Park Vet, but I think they should consider referring out for senior/end-of-life care for pets. I regret never having asked about pain management for my 15 year old dog, and a bit frustrated that the vet never suggested it. Adequan injections for arthritis saved my dog's life. I'm so glad I didn't put my dog down in October. I know his time is limited, but I've been so grateful for every extra day I have with him.

Then entire staff was so patient and calm with my boys but especially with my nervous cat. They gave him all the time he needed to explore and get as comfortable as he could, they are so kind and you can tell everyone really loves animals! So happy I found them!

Experiencia fantástica: I've always had good experiences here. The staff is courteous and professional and the vets always take time to answer my questions. One time I had my cat in my car and he made a huge mess all over himself in his carrier and would not allow me to clean him up. I called Wicker Park Vet Clinic to ask if they could give me some sedatives to calm him down. They had me bring him in, saw me right away and cleaned him up, free of charge! They really helped me out in a stressful situation.

Dr. Mowry accurately determined the cause of a knee issue that was bothering my dog, and I'm very happy with the advice she gave. They have a parking lot which makes visiting easy too.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a wonderful office full of kind and compassionate people! Just a good vibe AND they have an office cat! Dr. Suzuki was super sensitive to my dog's social anxiety and was incredibly patient and calming for him. She also fully respected my intention only to medicate his anxiety via natural supplements, and even recommended a specific CBD brand. No pressure to put him on anxiety meds. Loved them!!! Prices were also better than our previous vet and his annual vaccines we're about $100 cheaper than we were used to. WIN!

I wish I would have found them sooner. They are reasonable and never take advantage of the love you have for your pets. They are also compassionate and gentle when/if you have to make a difficult decision. I will never forget how wonderful everyone here treated me and my dog from the beginning until the bitter end.

Whenever she gets a vaccine, they call the day after to make sure she is doing well and not experiencing any reaction. You can tell the staff at Wicker Park vet are true animal lovers. Piper even took an anxious poop on the floor during our last visit and the staff were so kind about it. I would definitely recommend Wicker Park Vet.

Experiencia fantástica: We’ve been taking our dog here for about 8-9 years (since they opened). Dr. Cohen and the team have always been incredibly helpful, honest, and caring. I whole heartedly recommend them. A few years back our dog contracted the canine influenza. I took him to a different vet because of circumstances beyond my control. The other vet took zero precautions and misdiagnosed him. He stopped eating and drinking and it looked really bad. Dr. Cohen and his staff set up a makeshift clinic offsite and continued to see him and other dogs. He wasn’t afraid to diagnose it as canine flu and take all the precautions necessary.They had everything blocked off and they were using disposable shielding to stop the spread of the disease. We took him in every day to get fluids and special food. He made a full recovery. Now, let’s talk about price. I’ve been to several vets around the country. Chicago is more expensive due to location. VCA is the most expensive. Wicker Park vet is better and the cost of care is lower. 8 years ago when I was living on a grad school/student loan budget, Dr. Cohen’s office was always reasonable. When our dog was sick, he was only charging me for materials! We were going there daily for a week. Now, I would pay double if they asked me to. Most recently, they talked me out of spending more than I needed to on some basic meds. And, I believe the teeth cleaning we just scheduled is cheaper than any other vet in the city. More importantly, it’s cheap and I trust them to do it. I haven’t reviewed a lot of things on google. This is an excellent, professional, and experienced veterinary clinic. So, I thought I’d take a long moment to share our experience.

The folks who work here were so friendly and welcoming and Dr. Mowry was full of knowledge and very helpful and kind to our sweet dog. I would highly recommend taking your animals here!

Experiencia fantástica: We had an urgent pet event. We thought our 16 y.o. dog had a stroke. He suddenly collapsed while outside, could not walk & raise his head. We called Wicker Park Vet & they were able to fit us in. When we arrived, they came out with a stretcher as our dog could not walk. They gently got him secured & took him in where Dr. Jacob Cohen evaluated him & gave us better news. Our dog did not have a stroke, he was having a vestibular episode or “old dog syndrome.” We were so relieved he wasn’t going to die that day. Dr. Cohen gave our dog some injectable medications, fluids & blood work up. We took him home & gave him substantial nursing support. It took 3 days but he can finally stand up & walk short distances. He will be 17 y.o. in a couple of weeks and it looks like we don’t have to cancel the celebration. We cannot thank Dr. Jacob Cohen & his team enough. Everyone was so kind, compassionate, helpful & knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't often leave reviews but just wanted to say how much I love Wicker Park Vet. My dog is always so excited to go there, even when she isn't feeling well. My dog has been to three different vets within the practice all of which I have liked. They are great at getting you in last minute and answering questions over the phone. The staff and techs here - those working the front desk, the phones, and checking out your dog before the vet - are all so great. They also have parking and reasonable prices. I always feel that my dog's health is in good hands here.

My puppy received all the attention and love from the front desk team, the assistants and the doctor. I went to a VCA hospital before coming here and I can’t even compare - here, I felt safe, comfortable and they made me feel like my puppy was as special to them as she is to me. I recommend this place and I’ll be back anytime I need assistance with my dog.
