Experiencia fantástica: I brought my dog Lily in to get spayed services, and due to my dogs anxiety I was very nervous of how it would go. They were very kind and took their time when we were trying to get Lily weighed and was patient when I had to start the process of walking Lily back there (only to get her through the actual door to the back) for her surgery. Surgery went well, they answered my questions and Lily is safely been recovering at home. I will def be going back there for her dental cleanings. They were all very kind and didn’t make it stressful at all for myself or more importantly Lily. Clean waiting room, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.

Experiencia positiva: Staff was nice, however, I didn’t get the post op instructions verbally, only told that I’d get them in an email. Turns out, they attached them to the invoice that they sent before I even picked my dog up, would have been helpful if they advised that they were there instead of telling me they would be emailed as I was looking/waiting all day for post op instructions. Additionally the instructions that I had didn’t have all information they only included information for my dogs spay, and didn’t include instructions for post op care for a dew claw that she had to have removed, so had to call back and wait on hold to get that information. Additionally, I feel like the cost was WAY more than what I was quoted. Told it would be $202 minus the $40 deposit that was paid when I scheduled and then there would be an additional $100 for the few claw and of course fees for medicine, all in, I spent about $700. This place was not the cost effective vet surgery specialty place they claimed to be.

Experiencia negativa: Review Update 1/10/2026 I was able to find a specialist surgeon - Dr. Dixon with Southwest Veterinary Surgical Service to remove Jasper‘a large, multi lobulated tumors. Because complete excision was impossible Jasper will now need radiation followup for remaining cancer cells. No one from Dr Kelly’s ever contacted me with an explanation as to how this happened, nor has anyone responded to this review. Initial review below: I’ve been a fan of Dr. Kelly’s in the past and have brought my dog in for multiple procedures at the North Phoenix location at Tatum and Bell Rd. Most recently they failed in their most basic duty to communicate my dog’s cancer recurrence which led to explosive growth in just weeks. I initially brought him in for them to remove a cancerous soft tissue sarcoma on my dog’s shoulder in December 2024. They obtained only 1-1.5 cm clean margins instead of the recommended 2-3cm. In hindsight I wish I’d used a board certified surgeon instead. In October 2025 I brought him in to Dr. Kelly’s for a dental cleaning and asked them to look at the surgical area because it felt a bit rough. They examined my dog and told me this was only scar tissue and nothing to be concerned about. Over the next few weeks I kept feeling the area and because it still felt strange to me, I brought him to my vet for a 2nd opinion. My vet immediately identified two cancerous masses. When I contacted Dr. Kelly’s for their dental clinical notes I read in the notes that they TOO had identified a semi-firm mass at the prior surgical site which they told me was scar tissue. Due to the almost one month delay in being properly informed about my dogs aggressive and rapidly growing cancer recurrence, by the time I was able to get in with a veterinarian oncologist there were large, multiple masses. From everything I’ve read, early detection is key when it comes to treatment of aggressive, recurring soft tissue sarcoma. Know that you NEVER speak directly to a vet at Dr. Kelly’s. In this case I was told he was seen by a relief vet (Sara Prent). Had I been able to question this doctor directly following my dogs exam I would have obtained the correct information because I would have asked - what is the bumpy stuff at my dog’s surgical site? I would have made sure I got the correct answer before leaving. Did the vet tech not ask this question and just assume? I have no idea because almost two months later no one at Dr. Kelly’s has provided an explanation. So my question remains: How did their vet identify a recurrent cancer mass during my dog’s pre-dental physical exam and how was the vet tech completely unaware of this fact given she and I had discussed this very concern prior to his dental procedure??! Why did she tell me it was only scar tissue? While Dr. Kelly’s has apologized, they’ve never provided an explanation for how this occurred and what steps they’ve taken to ensure this does not happen to another pet owner, even though I requested this information a month ago. Until I receive a call from someone in a management position at Dr. Kelly’s with a report of FACTS gathered from both the vet and vet tech involved as to how this happened, this review will stay and I will not be returning. The mark of a respectable, responsible organization is to gather information to understand why something went wrong and install procedures to ensure the same mistake is not repeated. So far I see no evidence Dr. Kelly's has any interest in doing this.

Experiencia fantástica: I've used Dr. Kelly's before with my puppy for his neutering, which is why I went back for his first dental cleaning. He just turned 5 and hadn't had his teeth checked. He did have some extractions unfortunately but overall it's for the best to prevent any further dental issues in the future. They did a great job and my guy recovered quickly and his teeth look great! Pricing was still expensive but comparatively to taking to freestanding facility it will definitely be less expensive. The only feedback I'd offer or maybe more of a question for Dr. Kelly's. You offer "add-on's" while they have your pup out, like nail trimming. However, it' costs an additional $5 for the trim. At the price of almost $1000 you'd think you might just comp the $5 nail trim!! Seems it's a bit trivial to charge for that add-on.

I came across Dr.Kelly and for under $1000 they took care of my shiba inu. Its been about 6 days since the surgery and shes doing better than ever. I cant thank you guys enough for caring more about my dog than a profit. Highly recommend it to everyone.

He had to have his front left leg amputated. Dr. Kelly's performed the surgery . They were very caring and let us know everything each step of the way. 1 member of their staff even sent us a picture of Waylon when he got out of surgery. This is a personal touch I've never experienced with any vet EVER and I am 53 years old . I was truly touched . They have followed through with everything promised and more. Waylon is getting his stitches out tomorrow (2weeks later ) I can't say enough about these guys. Dr. Kelly's Surgical staff Flagstaff location had also neutered Waylon 12 days prior to him breaking his leg . Both surgeries and in 2 different locations were done with no problems and both with the same amount of care . Our gratitude is unmeasurable, and all of this was done at a VERY discounted price. They are doing great work and helping many people with their beloved animals where other vets are charging astronomical prices . Thank you to all of Dr. Kelly's Staff you guys are quite special. I researched previous customer experiences and the fees for procedures they offer. My pet was spayed and microchipped. Based on my research of other vets, I saved between 67-75%. My dog was handled with kid gloves, and I was surprised to receive a call from the vet himself the following day to make certain my pet was doing well. I will certainly consider Dr. Kelly's Surgical Unit for the future. They offer many procedures and basic pet inoculations. Certainly recommend anyone with a pet check them out!

They were awesome with me, explained everything in detail and even helped carry her To the car. They followed up to check on her make sure everything was going well after surgery. It had been getting bigger over the last few years, and to get it removed by my vet was more money than I had. Dr. Kelly's prices were still a bit more than I wanted to spend, but far less than I would've if I went through my vets.

Experiencia fantástica: My 12 year old dog had a mass on her neck the size of a golf ball. I was terrified to put her in anesthesia but made the decision to get it removed as my dog was showing signs of discomfort. I took her to our vet and was told it was a sebaceous Cyst and it would be around $1600 dollars plus to remove. I was hesitant to take her anywhere else but was told by a neighbor while staying at an air b and b that She had a friend that used Dr Kelly’s for the same issue and the outcome was very positive. I made the choice to take my dog there for a consultation. I made the decision to follow through with the surgery at Dr K’s. As we speak two weeks post surgery my dog is now acting like a puppy again! I couldn’t be happier! The service was efficient and the staff very empathetic. I recommend them 100%

They saved my cats life! They were SO kind and SO great with him and did an amazing job! Experiencia fantástica: On August 18, 2025, I had a 2 yr spayed Cocker Spaniel’s, named Angie, Cherry eye fixed for $650. Costs vary by the Eye problems/issues. Dr MacLennan, at the North Phoenix location, did a great job trimming the third eyelid, even leaving the tear duct intact, which we of course greatly appreciate! It looks great, and Angie had no infection or issues with it, at all. :-). Angie won’t go blind from the cherry eye rubbing her eyeball and has no discomfort, only a week after her surgery. A HUGE ‘thank you’ to the care and quality of work done for a rescue dog named Angie is given to Dr MacLennan and the staff at Dr Kelly’s Surgical Unit!!

Experiencia negativa: If I have to pay a $100 deposit to make a dental cleaning appointment I expect to see the vet for the prior exam.. it’s really weird that there’s no counter to check in.. you just walk in a room with a tv (advertising themselves how amazing they are the whole time) and chairs.. I’m assuming they get alerted someone walked in so an assistant comes out and grabs your pet. I thought she only did this because I was filling out the paperwork and to just get a head start on the basic stuff they do prior. I was waiting to be called to the back but no it was a quick 5 min she came back out and said he needs full mouth extractions because he has stomatitis. Something so drastic needs to be discussed with a doctor not with someone just coming out and telling you information in which her tone sounds unsure. People need to be able to ask questions. I’m not bringing my pet somewhere where I don’t feel comfortable, even if they are cheaper than other places.

They did a GREAT JOB and my dogs teeth are WHITE again and breath is great!!! Best part was the PRICE...a small fraction of what I was quoted from my Scottsdale Vet!!! The team at Dr Kelly's walked me through every step of the process, provided me low cost resources to get OG prepared for surgery. Finally at surgery day, the team was absolutely wonderful!! My dog just turned 4 with a lot of plaque and for dental prophylaxis at my traditional vet, they quoted upwards of $1,200. The most important thing to me is a good outcome for my girl, but I got that for $288. That’s remarkable. I want everyone to have a good income and life. Traditional veterinary medicine is historically high because it’s harder for a kid to be a vet than an md grade wise! So, in this country, if you are ill, often your vet is a better alternative than your er! I would pay more not to have to have 1 1/2 hours of highway driving — but the alternative was highway robbery!

Experiencia fantástica: I've had two interactions with Dr Kelly's Surgical unit--once at her mobile unit she used to have for a large tumor removal on my senior dachshund and recently for a spay for my 5-month-old corgi puppy. Both were extremely professional, easy to book, and had zero issues with scheduling or waiting when I arrived. They even got me in within two days after texting their scheduling line! They also had a simple form to fill out to add on extras like ear cleanings, nail trim, etc. I will definitely be using them again in the future!

The first vet that we went to price it at about $5000 which I did not have and I was panicking. My mom found doctor Kelly’s and accepted her at an insanely low price. I have taken 2 of my personal dogs here for Spay/Neuter and it’s saved me so much money. My vet wanted $1300 to spay my female puppy and I got all that done with a microchip for under $300 here. Karma was dropped off at 7:30, surgery was done by 8:30, and they called me and said I could pick her up at 9:30. Karma was not under anesthesia long at all and her recovery was the best recovery I’ve ever had in a dog after a spay or neuter. I will forever use Dr Kelly’s surgical unit for all my dogs spay/neuter.
