Experiencia negativa: I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with my experience here - when I first moved here last June, I wanted my cat to get established at a new vet. So I took her here, a “visiting vet” told me she was overweight and that I needed to take her off wet food. Shortly after this she started peeing blood, so I took her back in. Dr. Batty took care of her this time and he’s super friendly but we did all these urine/blood tests plus an ultrasound all to be told a week later over email that nothing was wrong (this cost me $600-$700). They gave me antibiotics just in case and I ran out eventually. She’s still peeing blood. I took her in several months later because this issue is not getting better… all for the next vet to completely gaslight me and tell me I have an anxious cat, a “delicate flower” and that my move was stressing her out (it had been 6 months at this point since I moved). I believe this vet also was a visiting vet, so no consistency in who she’s seeing. Finally, because there’s still blood in her pee- I decide to take her to a different vet office, they run the same tests. Immediately they find a stone in her bladder and it’s huge. Why couldn’t Scottsdale Animal Healthcare find this? And why did you guys gaslight me? The new animal clinic I went to immediately got my cat in for a surgery and got it removed. I wasted 8 months and so much money on this place. Really friendly staff but for people to pay money and get no results and to be gaslit is crazy.

Experiencia fantástica: Staff and Doctors show professionalism/concern in all aspects of our puppies health care. Dr. Casucccio is not only thorough, she takes the time to answer all of our questions and acts as if our French bulldog puppies are her own. She guides us as to what shots are necessary, optional or not necessary. Also, she explains issues that may be particular to the breed. BTW, the puppies love her.

Experiencia fantástica: We have an cat with epilepsy, and after numerous vets visits and $$$ down the drain with no answers we were referred to Scottsdale Animal Healthcare, they diagnosed it right away and have given us nothing but the utmost and considerate care ever since then. I don’t know what we would do without them!

They talked through options and the costs involved, and didn't pressure me at all to make a decision I didn't feel comfortable with -- but making sure that Oakley (our 14 year-old lab) was treated so incredibly well! We most definitely have found our new vet!

Wouldn't go anywhere else. So far, our dogs have treated with Dr. Davis and Dr. Finstad and both are just terrific. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Rachel at Scottsdale Animal Healthcare cleaned my two 12 year old Biewer's (like yorkies) teeth and as usual did a wonderful job. I can't say enough good things about her and Marissa the vet tech. They remembered to use an extra small trachea tube, kept me informed of their progress, and treated my boys as if they were their own. All went very smoothly. They now have clean teeth and fresh breath!!! The superior service they provide me and my dogs is why I keep going back to Dr. Rachel. I highly recommend her.

There is nothing scarier than having a sick furkid. There is also nothing more comforting than having absolute trust in your dog’s veterinarian and care team, which starts with the person who answers the phone at the clinic. Dr. Finstad educates pet parents in order that we make the best decisions for our kids. She is also the most accessible veterinarian that I’ve encountered in my decades of having pets. I wholeheartedly recommend SAH and Dr. Finstad.

We have had our Abyssinian kitty under the care of Dr. Haley Finstad for 2 months now and we are so lucky she was recommended to us. She really brought our kitty back from the brink: she had been hospitalized because she was no longer eating and was in pain. Dr. Haley looked at all the records and radiographs, did her own examination and blood work and prescribed antibiotics for a severe infection secondary to pancreatitis. She truly saved our kitty’s life. She is incredibly dedicated, following up for status updates outside of office hours. And the vet techs are outstanding and really seem to enjoy working there. Highly highly recommend.

The office liaises seamlessly with our primary vet in Canada. The veterinarians and technicians are friendly and competent and the front desk staff goes out of their way to make us feel welcome and supported. The facility is immaculate and the treats help my dog feel comfortable while he’s there. I definitely recommend Scottsdale Animal Healthcare.

Experiencia fantástica: I was SO happy to find Dr. Jennifer Davis and will be driving from Fountain Hills so my German Shepherd (Beauregard) gets the best treatment. It's easy to tell Dr. Davis and her team are ok with large breed dogs and comfortable treating them. They have plenty of parking, easy in and out service with payment and an area to walk outside before going into the vet office. It's a GREAT animal hospital!

They discovered our 1st cat had cancer and gave a short maybe 2 months to live, but Dr. Rachael and staff helped keep the pain at bay or something because well over a year later he was still fighting to not leave us. Later we adopted a kitten taken from mom way too early, during Covid when everyone was home. She became co dependent in funny ways, yet she hates affection and doesn’t know how to be a cat. They helped get her some meds for mental health that calmed her down and she quit avoiding people. Now we’ve adopted the most loving kitted hoping her mother instinct might start to come out. Not quite. She studies him playing and cuddling and she wants to to try but she’s not sure how to start.

I received a call the next day and they were checking on her and checked to see if I had any questions. Her exams are thorough, my questions are always answered, and I never feel rushed. My fur boys love her because she is so gentle and calming, and I feel totally confident with her knowledge. Recently, one of my cats needed a dental. I was kept informed of how he did, received detailed records of his labs and procedure, and he came home feeling great!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Moye is the best veterinarian. I have an older dog that has always been afraid of going to the vet, but Scottsdale Animal Healthcare has changed my dog’s point of view. The staff made my dog feel so comfortable that he was no longer shaking and dropping fur the entire time. My dog sat on the exam table, confident, and calm. I wish I had come to this clinic sooner. Definitely a five star experience.

She had a tough life before we got her and has trouble with other dogs and the SAH team is always careful to get us checked in and out quickly. Dr. Rachel answers all our questions and tells us what we’re doing right and what we could do to help Biscuit more. The techs are gentle and loving and Biscuit always wants to go “in the back” and say hi to everyone. We recommend them 1000%

Experiencia fantástica: We live very close to this veterinary office. In an emergency I walked in the other day needing help for my cat who is somewhat finicky, antisocial, as well as anxious. They were able to give me some solid recommendations and how to get her to their care facility without stressing her out too much once we were there they were quick to get her back and away from the other animals, as she is often startled by dogs. From the young lady Ashley at the front desk to the nursse and doctor who helped us everybody was amazing at this location. We cannot say enough good things about this animal healthcare facility.

Experiencia fantástica: The Scottsdale Healthcare team that treated my dog Ranger were all caring and professional. They provided Ranger with excellent care. Dr. Finstad and her team gave me all the information I needed regarding Ranger’s teeth cleaning both before and after the procedure. They even called 2 days after the treatment to see how Ranger was feeling.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog is a little medically challenged, so we knew finding a great vet when we moved out here was key. Scottsdale Animal Healthcare has so many 5 star reviews for a reason! Everyone we've interacted with here has been so incredibly nice. From receptionists on the phone, to techs and vets that have helped us and our dog, everyone is SO kind, positive, friendly, and helpful. This staff goes out of their way to get you in if your pet is in need of a fast appointment due to an injury or illness. They are incredibly responsive on the phone or over email, and when we come in for our appointments, they are so efficient and we rarely have to wait! The staff is so knowledgable, but also does a great job of hearing us out and answering our (many) questions, without making us feel like we're annoying them. Our dog has some behavior needs and the staff is so accommodating. They've never made us feel embarrassed or like our dog is "scary" or "bad" (simply because our dog is very protective of us and also hates going to the vet - a difficult combo). They do such a great job to make our dog feel the least stressed that she can be. Overall, HIGHLY recommend Scottsdale Animal Healthcare if you're looking for a regular vet. Efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, and we've never had an issue getting an appointment in a timely manner. Our favorite vet office so far!

We needed to establish vet care for our 12 ½-year-old lab, Cash, after recently moving to Phoenix for the summer. Just two days after scheduling our initial appointment, Cash tore up one of her paw pads while running around the pool deck. From the ease of scheduling, to the warm welcome at the front desk, intake with the amazing vet tech, and the thorough, compassionate exam by Dr. Haley Finstad — every part of the experience was exceptional. Cash received incredible care, and we’re so grateful to have found a vet we trust.

Experiencia fantástica: March 16, 2025 was the day I had to make the hardest decision of my life. I needed to put down my beloved cat Smudge of 18 years. It was on a Sunday and my regular vet was closed. I found SAH online and called to see if they could fit me in. From the minute you walk in the door you are greeted by the most compassionate staff you could ask for given the situation. Dr Rachel Casuccio was so warm and compassionate, she explained every step to me and it helped ease my stress. I can’t recommend SAH enough!

She is the most extraordinary veterinarian I have ever known—her compassion, kindness, and dedication go far beyond what anyone could ever expect. When Zadie, my dog, broke her paw as a puppy, Dr. Rice was there, going above and beyond to help her heal. When Atticus, my dog, had a cancer scare, she guided us with care and expertise. And at the end of his life, when I was faced with the most heartbreaking decision, she was my rock. In the middle of her workday, she took my call, helping me navigate what was best for Atticus when he stopped eating. She didn’t just offer medical advice—she offered empathy, love, and support. She cried with me. And in the midst of that pain, she gave me the most beautiful gift—a picture of Atticus, capturing his spirit and the love we shared. I will cherish it forever. We have followed Dr. Rice from Gilbert to North Phoenix and now to Scottsdale, because when you find someone as incredible as she is, you don’t ever want to let them go. She knew us before we had kids, and now she always makes it a point to remember my daughters’ names, greeting them with warmth and kindness. My girls adore her! My oldest always says she wants to be a vet just like Dr. Rice, and I can’t think of a better role model for her to look up to. Beyond Dr. Rice, the entire team at Scottsdale Animal Healthcare is nothing short of amazing. The techs are always incredible, and the front desk staff is wonderful—Taylor, in particular, is an absolute gem. You all make such a difference, and I am endlessly grateful for the love and care you show my babies. Dr. Rice, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. For everything. You are a gift to all of us lucky enough to know you!

Experiencia fantástica: Scottsdale Animal Healthcare has taken care of three of our dogs. All of the interactions we have had with the vets there have been positive. Dr. Davis and Dr. Rice are the most caring and capable vets we’ve ever had through over 40 years of pets. The staff at the lobby desks are very friendly and helpful and seem to genuinely care about their clients as well as their pets. I would highly recommend this practice!

Experiencia positiva: I’m sure they're trustworthy, everyone was nice, but the price is absolutely insane. And whoever answered the phone for me needs to be reprimanded for straight up giving false information and wasting our time and money. I was told and reassured multiple times by someone over the phone that a tooth removal would rarely be over 200-300 dollars. She really assured me it would be less than $300, and I asked a few times during the call to be sure because I wanted to be prepared. After setting up everything, we prepared at least $500 just in case. Then we brought our dog in and found out it’d be over a thousand dollars!! More than $1,000 to remove a single tooth for a healthy chihuahua. Plus we had to pay one hundred dollars up front just to have what I told them parroted back to me, "her tooth is broken and needs removed..." We left in complete shock at the cost, and we immediately found another veterinarian nearby that will do it all for less than $300. Going there in a few days. Not complaining about their quality of care, I am sure they do a great job. But nothing justifies OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to rip a single tooth out. The price tag is 100% just because of the area we live in. I would suggest to keep looking around for more affordable options unless you enjoy paying 4 times the actual price of care. Edit: Went to another vet. Tooth removal cost was $177 dollars, medication and everything included. They even cleaned her back teeth for free. Took about 2 hours after dropping her off till they texted us that the procedure was over and we could pick her up in 2 more hours. Its 4 days later and our dog is healing up great. Shes very happy now. It cost us just over $100 only to have THIS place tell me her tooth is broken, and the other cheaper place did EVERYTHING for $177. Also, we noticed the almost $700 on the estimate (at the top of the photo I included) was ONLY for the veterinarian. Not for the anesthetic or meds or the procedure or anything else. It would have been $700 directly into the pocket of the veterinarian for maybe an hour of work. Im so glad we decided to look somewhere else instead of losing over half a month's rent for absolutely no good reason.
