East El Paso Animal Hospital: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: This is one of the best vet experiences I’ve had! I brought my new kitten here twice. Both times the staff and vets were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend taking your pets here for care!
Experiencia fantástica: I just want to say I appreciate how thoughtful and considerate the doctor and staff were during a very difficult time. You guided us through something we were not ready for and I will never forget your kindness. Thank you for taking care of our doggie iris and guiding us through letting her go and taking away her pain.
Experiencia fantástica: A bit overpriced but the staff there is so nice and easy to work with i would take AMAZING customer service over a cheaper price any day! They cared for 4 cats of ours and our Dog Willow and even helped us get all paperwork required for our travel through Canada as we moved to Alaska.
Experiencia negativa: I took my nova for a eat infection end paying $250 Dlls they put a medication in her ear told me that I need to bring her back if it didn’t go away called because it just got worst they were wanting to charge another $250 this place just keeps on getting more and more expensive and have you to always go back to charge more money two months later I still have my Nova with an ear infection.
Experiencia negativa: I would never use this animal hospital . They charged me 800 hundred dollars and didn’t do a damn thing,
Experiencia fantástica: Did well with my cat. They gave her a treat and she was very calm. And they told us her actual age! We didn't know how old our cat was. Turns out she was a senior cat.
Experiencia fantástica: They were so nice and informative!!! They treated our Baby Girl with such kindness! We will be coming back if needed. :)
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Dominguez is truly an exceptional veterinarian and an absolute asset to East Animal Hospital. From the very first visit, it was clear that he genuinely cares about the well-being and best interests of each pet he treats. His knowledge, professionalism, and compassion set him apart. Dr. Dominguez takes the time to thoroughly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and next steps, making sure pet owners feel informed and confident in the care being provided. He is extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and his calm, kind demeanor immediately puts both pets and owners at ease. Most importantly, his care has helped successfully treat and heal our pets, which we are incredibly grateful for. Because of the trust we have in Dr. Dominguez, we consistently request him every time we visit East Animal Hospital. Knowing our pets are in such capable and compassionate hands gives us complete peace of mind. If you are looking for a veterinarian who is skilled, caring, and truly dedicated to animal health, Dr. Dominguez is the best choice. We highly recommend him without hesitation.
Experiencia fantástica: I am not local, but I was visiting my family in El Paso for Christmas week. I had to take my dog in for an ear infection, and I got there early so I could be first in line when they opened. It was cold outside and the Practice manager, Nancy Trujillo offered to unlock the front door and let me wait in the sitting room because it was cold outside & I had not brought a jacket. I received excellent care from every person I spoke to, including the vet tech, Stephanie. She was kind and knowledgeable and very understanding, and was so good with my dog. And then the vet, Dr. Sara Batson evaluated my dog for his ear infection and was so kind - knowing we were on a budget and took the time to look up different procedures to see which option would work best for our budget and the situation. She went above and beyond, and noticed that my dog’s toe nails needed to be clipped, and when I asked the price, I ended up saying we are good. You do not need to do that, because of everything we were already paying for. Dr. Batson, the veterinarian, chose to have her team clip my dog’s toe NAILS free of charge just to help us out. From every single person I talked to, this is the vet I would take my dogs to normally if we lived in El Paso. I would 100% recommend East El Paso Animal Hospital to anyone who needs a team who will genuinely care for their animal as if it were their own pet. They made a last-minute vet appointment, not feel as stressful the week of Christmas. Thank you to the entire team.
Experiencia negativa: This place is a joke. I understand they are in business to make money but you would think they would care about pets, they don't. I brought Tank there for a few years. After I had 3 open heart surgeries in 18 months I lost everything. I use to drive a Mercedes and didn't worry about much. Now I live in a income base housing and live on Social security disability. My boy Tank needed to have a 3 inch growth removed from his neck. I asked if they could do the surgery and let me pay the rest after a deposit when I get my next Social Seecurity check in 2 weeks. They said I doubt it and I asked if they would check with the office manager. The office manager didn't even care enough to come and speak with me they just simply told the vet no. I was an established customer. They had the audacity to send me an email asking for me to come back. They only care about money and the heck with your beloved pet. I wander if they should be investigated and see what they charge taxpayers since they handle border patrol animals??? I wander what their price makeup is on that considering how they are money hungry. Maybe I should have the media investigate???
Experiencia fantástica: I love the vets and the care they take with my pup. The front desk is courteous and professional. I am glad I found them.
Experiencia fantástica: Dr Dominguez was amazing he was really patient and detailed and knowledgeable he took really good care of our baby treated her as if she was his own and the entire staff was outstanding very polite and professional the treatment was top-notch we will definitely make this our new family Veterinary Clinic thank you guys for the amazing service
Experiencia fantástica: The BEST in El Paso. Professional and always so welcoming.
Experiencia fantástica: My Pug Hermione has always gotten the best care and the employees are all really nice
Experiencia fantástica: I think the vet saved my kitten's life, went from lethargic and sneezing to full of energy and not sneezing with medicine. Didn't overcharge either.
Experiencia negativa: I never ever thought I would be writing a negative review of this Vet Clinic, but here I am. We stopped going there about 4 months ago when they keep wanting to do a senior wellness panel on my dog, I have no heartburn with a senior wellness panel, just not 3 in a row less then a month apart. Then this is what really makes me mad about 5 years ago I was told my doggie had a heart murmur, that is all no test done no x ray, a year ago he developed the gagging cough, we were told it was acid reflux. Fast forward we left this clinic and had our records sent to another clinic. Then one day my pup started really gagging and coughing this white mucus so we took him to the new vet, and we're taken right back, they did some blood work and xrays, to make a long story short my little guy was suffering from a collapsed trachea and very enlarged heart, that contributed to the collapsed trachea, so now he is on 6 different medicines. His new vet told us the.minute the heart murmur was discovered he should have had xrays done to rule out any underlying problems, nope was never done. They really disappointed me as we had been going there for close to 20 years, and loved the vets, but they keep getting vets and your furbaby gets to liking one and you go in later and they are gone. Sorry to the clinic for this review, but I had to get it off my chest.
Experiencia negativa: I’m so over this place. East El Paso Animal Hospital has gone completely downhill. Prices keep going up, the front desk staff always acting like they hate it in there, and now they even close from 11 AM to 2 PM just so they can have lunch.. Nothing wrong with taking a lunch break, but maybe have people available instead of everyone disappearing at the same time. like seriously, what kind of animal hospital shuts down in the middle of the day? They claim they’re “short staffed,” but honestly I’m not surprised. Every time I come here, it’s worse than the last. Even on my past visits when they were open during normal hours, the front desk always had an attitude they act like you’re bothering them. They even force you into a “mandatory” yearly check-up where all they do is stick a thermometer up my dog’s ass and charge for it, and won’t even let you decline it. Total money grab. While I was outside, another customer said they wouldn’t take his dog and needed a vet asap.. That’s all you need to know about how bad it’s gotten here. I can’t wait for this place to fall apart at the rate they’re going.
Experiencia negativa: What Hospital closes for lunch and then for 2 hours we got there at 1250 they where closed and had a signed that said won't be back till 2 out for lunch like What the heck it's an animal HOSPITAL NOT CLINC
Experiencia negativa: My mom recently brought in a stray kitten she found, hoping to get her treated for an eye infection and nurse her back to health. The kitten’s eyes were nearly shut from infection, and she could barely see. While my mom was feeding her, the kitten had bit her - likely because it smelled the tuna on her fingers. We completely understand that Dr. Carlos Dominguez was legally required to report the bite and surrender the kitten for quarantine. We respect that he followed procedure. What was truly disheartening, however, was the lack of compassion and communication shown during the visit. My mom left the clinic feeling dismissed and upset, unsure of what would happen next or how to check on the kitten’s wellbeing. When she asked if Animal Services would continue the prescribed medication, Dr. Carlos Dominguez simply said it would be “up to them,” without offering any explanation on what this protocol looks like or guidance for what can be done next. The experience felt cold and impersonal during a moment that was already emotional and stressful. While we understand that regulations must be followed, clearer communication and a more empathetic approach would have made a world of difference. We hope Dr. Carlos Dominguez and the clinic take this feedback seriously and reflect on how such situations are handled in the future. Ultimately, veterinary practice should always come from a place of compassion and empathy…the wellbeing of animals and those who care for them should be at the heart of this profession.
Experiencia negativa: We took our boy with heavy diarrhea for past10 days… they order blood, urine, poop tests…. Charged us… days passed and nothing despite numerous calls… front desk emailed the results aftter my husband got mad and called them and we are still waiting for a follow up call by your doctor. we took our boy with the tests to another vet and is having treatment because apparently after 10 days that we were there you are still too busy to have the decency to call us and give a diagnosis. Shame on you…. No follow up …. What happened to your place? Doctor seemed amateur and zero sense of emergency. No medication no diagnosis no calls except the charge for tests and consultation. That’s what you care about…. Take your pets elsewhere….. so dissapointed and we have been clients for over 5 years
Experiencia fantástica: This place has been fantastic for my cats- I had two of them neutered and cared for here. They have very knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarians who will give you options to treat your pets but are also not afraid of telling it like it is. The staff is also very friendly. I recommend going early afternoon on weekdays for the shortest wait time...they are popular!
Experiencia negativa: Due to the negligence of one of the veterinarians on staff misdiagnosing my dog, he ended up suffering horribly and had to be euthanized. Only after we took him to another vet clinic did we finally receive the correct diagnosis and medications but by then it was too late to try to save him, he passed 2 weeks later.
Experiencia negativa: Called on Saturday at 3pm asking about services for my dog. They stated they would look at him and upon arrival 30 minutes later they refused to see him because he had never been there before turning him away ....
Experiencia fantástica: Best Veterinarians in El Paso Been going to them for about 28 years Very trustworthy and care about your pets
Experiencia positiva: Staff in FRONT leaves much to be desired . They treat you as if it was only a job. Animal care for us is FAMILY.
Experiencia fantástica: The best vets for animals. Dr. Dominguez is literally a life saver he help my frenchies leg out so much he was bitten by a spider and nearly lost his leg due to infection but the staff at eastelpaso animal hospital took care of Bentley and he's recovering now. Thanks Dr. Dominguez
Experiencia fantástica: Such nice staff! They were all so nice to my puppy and I! Dr.Dominguez is very professional and knew right away what was wrong with my baby! Would 10/10 recommend!
Experiencia fantástica: They were very patient with my new little adopted monster even though he got nervous around the doc. Got a wellness checkup, a shot, and scheduled for grooming. Being able to wait out in my car to keep my nervous doggo company and they called when we were ready was great!
Experiencia negativa: I will never take my pets there to the vet Scarborough she lies about everything. She traumatized my pet. Neglected medication. She said we need to keep your pet for observation, but no one was there all night, so what observation is that? Less than 1 star. Please read reviews before you take your pets to that pet hospital. They are not a good reliable place.
Experiencia fantástica: ABSOLUTELY top notch staff and facility. Communication is excellent. Knowing this level of critical care and compassion is available here in El Paso 24/7/365 is another reason to love this city.
Experiencia negativa: If i could give less than 5 stars i would definitely. Its all about money there. Money money. They treated my cat 2 shots. For fever and antibiotic. I had to pay over $200 . It did nothing for her. Then her fever rose high 3 days later. Took her back in to same clinic. 280 more to put IV. Now they want 350 more to come pick her up this same day!., i cannot afford insurance. This is crazy. And they cant even tell me whats wrong. Virus or bacteria!. They want more money to tell me what exactly is wrong ... I had to borrow high money amounts just to pick my beloved cat up.. This place is all about high prices. And she is a healthy 3 yr old cat!! Its probably just a virus. So frustrating!! Some of us cannot afford such ridiculous high vet prices.Oh i forgot to add. They never gave me the 25% discount for first time as their advertisement says.
Experiencia positiva: I am disappointed and appalled by my last visit here. My boyfriend and I came here yesterday because he unfortunately had to put his cat of 13+ years to rest. The facility here is very nice and modern, and the nurse and doctor who had helped us were nothing but lovely and kind towards us and his fur baby, however the same could not be said about one of the receptionist staff. Shortly after we were brought into the back room to start the process, one of the ladies at the front desk had come in and was being "sympathetic" while handing my boyfriend the invoice for the procedure, while also holding and waving the card reader for the payment over his sick cat that was laying on the exam table. Afterwards, when we asked about getting the ashes shipped to out of town, she responded that could "see about calling the crematory tomorrow but having her co-worker do it" and overall just made it seem like receiving the ashes was complicated and out of her way. The situation felt very condescending and inappropriate and made both of us upset and wonder why she couldn't have waited until after the procedure to get payment, or even mail the invoice for a later date. I understand she was doing her job but the situation just felt a little disrespectful.
Experiencia fantástica: Gideon enjoying the outside after getting his allergy shot thank you
Experiencia negativa: “Negligence at this clinic cost our cat her life.” We brought our cat, Riju, to East El Paso Animal Hospital for help with gum inflammation caused by an autoimmune condition. She was given a series of injections—including a steroid—without any clear warning about the risks or follow-up care. She had a known history of breathing problems after steroids, yet that was completely ignored. We weren’t told what to watch for or that her life could be in danger. Less than 24 hours later, Riju was panting with her mouth open, crying nonstop, and died in visible distress. She suffered, and we were left helpless—completely unprepared for the worst. This wasn’t an accident. It was negligence—a failure to treat her with even basic caution, to communicate honestly, or to show compassion. We lost a beloved family member because of this. Riju deserved better. And other families deserve to be warned.
Experiencia fantástica: I cannot say how much doctor waltzer Kim and Stephanie. Has done for my baby girl storm . Even though I had to say and help my baby storm, who is 15 across the rainbow bridge, it was reassuring. That I had a doctor and staff who cared deeply. They have always been wonderful. Wonderful caregivers, four fur babies, and I cannot thank him enough for everything they do for everyone. Ericka Abshier
Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Scarborough and staff were sympathetic and absolutely wonderful when our OES Sophie had to be euthanized in late November due to stomach cancer. They were great with our current OES foster dog Juliet getting spayed and hernia repair. Clinic is always clean, has cold A/C, and wonderful attentive staff.
Experiencia fantástica: My baby had mouth ulcers and wasn’t eating but they saw her right away and gave her shots, now’s she’s back to eating Doritos and grass I’m so thankful everyone was so kind/helpful
Experiencia fantástica: I travel periodically from Pennsylvania to El Paso, and I've taken my English bulldog there twice with excellent care. The care is top notch, and their prices are very affordable. No appointments necessary, amazing care, thank you, Dr. Dominguez!
Experiencia negativa: Two of my dogs, separate occasions, were advised for surgery. Next day I was assured that they were doing better. Next day, dead. They are quick to recommend pricey surgery with negative results.
Experiencia negativa: I was introduced to them by my niece, she took one of her fur baby and it was ok. I was saddening because our previous vet moved out of state and closed her practice. One day my baby was crying and not let anyone touch her, not like at all. My niece rushed her to the clinic, and it turns out she had a distended abdomen, as per the dr. she will be ok just keep an eye on her. The next night, I had to rush het to the emergency clinic, she had to have emergency surgery for distended abdomen, ended up staying in for 3 days, and no, it was not cheap. The second bad experience was about 2 years or so. She had what I thought was an eye infection, they gave me an ointment and it was it; it did not help. The second time that I took her for the same thing, but this time on both eyes, again ointment, but the thing is that there so brush it off. Finaly she was having difficulty breathing, I had been taken videos so I can show them, since it’s hard to explain it, the dr. wouldn’t even let show her the videos, the took x-rays and apparently everything “normal”, but again, she didn’t even let me show her the videos so she her the actual noises that she was making. AGAIN, I insisted on her eyes, I literally had to be cleaning her eyes every 10-15 minutes, her eyes would be filled with gunk plus they would chut close, poor baby would be bumping into things since she could not see. My salvation finally came by taking her to a different vet, and closer to home. On her first visit, they did complete blood work, have her one of her shots and ointment for her eye, and gust what, it worked withing 2-3 days!!! I had not seen her pretty eye in so long. I called back because she was throwing up, but I was remined about the shot and that she is an elderly dog, so she was having a reaction to it. The following day, the Dr. called to see how she was doing, I was like what, they care enough to call and see how she’s doing. Then again, the Dr. called me the following day to go over her lab work, again I was really, the actual Dr. called me, not an assistant, not the receptionist. Finally, I am writing this review while I’m on hold trying to get her records, I mean might as well do something, since I have been waiting 25 minutes so they can get back online Thank God for her new vet!!!!
Experiencia fantástica: First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Team at East El Paso Animal Hospital for their compassionate care during a distressing experience with our beloved Oso. Just a week ago, Oso, a 14-year-old Lhasa Apso, had undergone grooming services alongside his brother, Cody. Unfortunately, upon our return home, Oso exhibited signs of anxiety and leaped from the backseat. His left front leg buckled beneath him, causing him to land on his jaw. Despite his finicky eating habits and previous challenges in feeding, Oso’s distress was evident as he moaned, drooled, and attempted to wipe his face. Recognizing the severity of his condition, we promptly sought veterinary assistance at your facility. Dr. Riley Cox promptly examined Oso and recommended staying overnight while labs were drawn. Oso was diagnosed with a fractured jaw, along with several broken teeth that required extraction and his jaw was to be wired for several weeks to facilitate healing. As the medication wore off, Oso’s pain became apparent. We made the difficult decision to euthanize him to alleviate his suffering, which had been exacerbated by his difficulty eating prior to the incident. Dr. Cox’s professionalism, empathy, and understanding were evident throughout the process. He addressed our concerns with sensitivity and compassion, demonstrating his genuine commitment to animal welfare. We highly recommend East El Paso Animal Hospital to individuals seeking compassionate and caring professionals who prioritize the well-being of animals and their owners.
Experiencia fantástica: My baby feels at home here. She gets super excited when it times to especially boarding. If I take her there for a check up or shots she whines because she wants to visit the girls in the kennel. The grooming is also the best, she always smells so good and it lasts for weeks.
Experiencia positiva: I tried to go there on Saturday to have my pup vaccinated only. The staff was super friendly which is why I provided 3 stars. I arrived at 2:30p had to leave around 4:30p hoping I could get my tire changed but I arrived too late. I came back to the clinic since I had missed my opportunity to get that done and I still waited 30 more mins. My dog was getting frustrated so I left again. IF you plan to go on a Saturday plan to be there all day. I understand its busy but over two hours for vaccines was a bit disappointing. Definitely only Emergency situations.
Experiencia fantástica: I don't know where to begin to thank Dr Riley Cox for saving my husky life named nala. She had to go in for emergency surgery because she had an infection on her ovaries. he stayed late that day to make sure everything was perfect and safe. he called me an hour later and explained to me that everything was done and she is perfect. My wife and I even got to bring her home the following day. I cant thank you guys enough. You guys have a life time customer and I only trust you guys with all four of my huskies from now on. Thank you for taking the time to explain the whole process. Also thank you for answering all of our questions and being patient with us. Sincerely, Fazekas Family
Experiencia negativa: The vets are good people, but the management of this place leaves a lot to be desired. For the second time in two weeks I have been kept waiting for over 3 hours outside the office. They don’t take appointments and they are clearly overwhelmed. It’s a shame, but I will not be coming back. 1 hour ok, 2 hours…maybe it’s an anomaly….3 hours two weeks in a row. These folks need new management.
Experiencia negativa: I am highly disappointed in this veterinary clinic and its doctors. We’ve been bringing our dog here for over nine years, essentially since he was a puppy. Every year, we’ve taken him in for blood work and any injuries he’s had. About two years ago, we took him in for an emergency, and their solution was to neuter him in an attempt to resolve the issue. They performed the surgery and released him to us the next day without providing any long-term care instructions. A few months after his neutering, he began experiencing bloating and lost his energy and appetite. We brought him back in, and suddenly, they discovered a mass in his intestines that supposedly required another surgery—one that allegedly only a single doctor in El Paso could perform, at a cost of thousands of dollars. We sought a second opinion from another vet, and they advised that surgery wasn’t necessary. They said his symptoms and the mass could be managed with medication and a special diet. This second vet also pointed out that our dog had thyroid issues—something the East Side vets had never mentioned, despite performing annual blood work. I’m extremely disappointed with the care we’ve received and would strongly discourage anyone from bringing their pets to this clinic. It feels like their solution to everything is invasive surgery, with little consideration for the long-term health and well-being of our pets.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been bringing my pups to this clinic for years. Staff is awesome!! Dr. Dominguez goes above and beyond!! I truly appreciate the care this clinic provides!!
Experiencia negativa: Five years ago, I was stationed at Fort Bliss, and during that time, this veterinary clinic was my top choice. I had a wonderful experience with them back then. However, it seems that the recent reviews I've come across are unfortunately accurate. I just got stationed back at Fort Bliss a week ago, and, of course, I need to do my homework again to find a vet for my four furry babies. Unfortunately, my first interaction with the clinic was disappointing. When I called to inquire about information, I spoke with Kim, and the customer service was lacking. I learned that they operate on a walk-in basis, which means it's first come, first served. I can only imagine the long wait times if you don't have an appointment. As a former client, I believe that having an appointment should make you feel like part of the family, allowing you to build a bond with the veterinarian without the stress of long waits like everyone else. While the walk-in policy is a good idea, it might be worth considering an option that allows former clients to schedule appointments for their pets without having to wait in line. Additionally, my experience with customer service over the phone did not meet my expectations. Kim struggled to provide clear information, which left me feeling frustrated. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider my choice of clinic. It's disheartening to feel like I've lost a reliable option for my pets' care.
Experiencia negativa: I’ve had multiple disappointing experiences with the front desk staff at this location. Whether it’s for boarding or a check-up, even when I arrive on time for a scheduled appointment, there always seems to be a lack of organization and professionalism. On several occasions, I’ve encountered long lines with staff behind the desk seemingly focused on tasks unrelated to helping those waiting. Guests are left standing without acknowledgment, which only adds to the frustration. When it’s finally your turn, the staff often come across as dismissive or unwelcoming, as if your presence is an inconvenience despite having a confirmed appointment. This kind of experience makes an already stressful situation even more difficult and should be addressed to improve customer service.
Experiencia negativa: Several weeks ago I took my pet in due to not being able to hold down her food for two days. Her regular vet was closed, so I headed over to this clinic. Upon arrival the staff seemed friendly, but after hours of waiting due to different emergencies that arose our pet was finally seen. Several x-rays were conducted & a "half diagnosis" was given- dehydration & a possible obstruction. An IV, an overnight stay, & possible EXPLORATORY surgery was recommended. We opted for the first two recommendations ($700+) & then decided to see our pet's regular vet. We were told that day that a email of the x-rays & notes would be emailed to our personnel email so we could give them to our vet first thing Monday a.m.-- to no avail. Once we were at our regular vet we had to call over three times to get records sent to which they were finally sent (incomplete that is). Right away our vet ordered an enema & in less than 30 mins. the problem was solved all for hardly anythingexploratory surgery wasn't EVEN recommended. What a major difference in a diagnoses & fees
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly and professional staff! Doctors are very kind and thorough and take the time to explain everything! This is the only place I trust to bring my dogs!
Experiencia negativa: I had been taking my 11 year old French bulldog to this vet regularly. They looked at his eye and said he needs to see an eye doctor but he would be ok. I had no idea how wrong they were. They gave him a cone and antibiotics. A few days later my dog has a seizure for the first time and I rush him to an emergency room for dogs. They tell Ms it's a tumor on his brain and he will not get better. My dog continues to have seizure no anti seizure medication works. He dies on Wensday. I wish the vet had not said I don't think it's cancer or a tumor because it was. If I had known I would have given him his Christmas treats. I would have cooked him a steak . I would have treated him to special stuff. This whole ordeal has been traumatic. Please seek a second opinion and don't go through what my family has.
Experiencia fantástica: Truly the most amazing and compassionate veterinarian office I have been to in all of El Paso. I have taken my pets to different vets but I always felt they would never care about my animals the way that the staff and doctors do at EEPAH . The front staff is always so kind and helpful with check in and out and the wait is never more than an hour on a super busy day. All the other patients and parents are so nice and we all feel comfortable in the spacious waiting area.
Experiencia negativa: Initially took our dog in and had to wait over four hours with no update. He had to get stones removed, was told he was completely healthy after his procedure. After he got home he went completely down hill. Two days later he died. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS place.
Experiencia positiva: I edited my review. We’ve been back a few times since for boarding and a surgery. I will say that everytime, the front desk staff is terrible, so unfriendly. They are very bothered when they have to help you, and don’t even make eye contact or smile. I see some recent reviews regarding the front office staff that aren’t good either, so maybe a morale issue to look into? The only reason we come back here is because the back office staff is the opposite and Dr. Camlin took really good care of my dog. -My only complaint is one situation my dog had come back with fleas even after giving him a treatment before we took him there. Additionally, they only let us use our military discount one time. I haven’t dealt with a vet like that, we’ve always used a 10% military discount at every visit in different states, especially having to use boarding so much.
Experiencia negativa: Been taking my dog for grooming here for five years and this is the first time I pick him up without a haircut. I essentially paid $100 for a bath, very disappointed in the lack of care. I was also told that I needed to clarify in the notes but I’ve never had to do that. I don’t understand why there’s no notes if I’ve been a returning customer for five years.
Experiencia negativa: We were there yesterday for a new exam of our newly adopted puppy along with 2 vaccines that he was due for and were given a tube for a stool sample. We paid almost $200 yesterday and were charged another $75 today when dropping off the stool sample. We were not told there would be an additional fee for this as we were under the impression that this was included in the fees we paid yesterday. It should have been mentioned that this was not included in the $198 we paid yesterday. This is unacceptable, do better. I post this review for others to be aware as if the fees were not disclosed to us, they are likely not disclosed to others.
Experiencia positiva: The vets are professional and so far my dogs have been taken care of well, except one tech insisted on taking my dog’s temperature and it wasn’t going to work I had to stop her, she was hurting my dog, on my next visit with my other dog, she was ready to do the same with a beady if an animal and I could see my dog was not having it either, the tech was a bit rough on both occasions so I again had to ask her to please stop, completely unnecessary for what my pet was there for. The front office staff are rude, impolite, sarcastic, I’ll stop here, just read the reviews… the prices here are outrageous and not transparent til it’s time to pay! majority of people waiting in the lobby are complaining about the long waiting time, the costs and the rudeness of your front office, I’m still going here because I am comfortable how the vets have treated my dogs but I’m considering looking elsewhere, just too expensive and the waiting time is ridiculous and having to deal with Jekyll and Hyde’s in the front just sets the mood to hellish being there…
Experiencia negativa: They took it upon themselves to charge my autistic son $460 for services that his dog did not need. All he wanted was heartworm pills and for them to look at a wound on our dogs paw. I told them prior not to charges for anything unless they approved it through me first. When I asked if they had any written authorization to the work. They simply said no, we told him we were going to do it and he said OK. When I brought this issue up to them, they refunded me $30. Extremely unprofessional
Experiencia negativa: Just rude. I moved out of El Paso and haven’t been back to this clinic for obvious reasons, but they called to notify me they could no longer authorize my pets prescription considering they haven’t seen us for some time ( understandably) when I asked if they could make a one time exception considering the prescription is necessary they declined and hung up on me (that part). I get that I’m not a customer anymore but as a clinic you should be better at maintaining relationships. If I ever move back to EP they’re off my list.
Experiencia positiva: Prices were average for the area. Medication is a tad pricey. Employees were nice. Just not the cleanest, ended up with all kinds of pet dander on us when we left
Experiencia positiva: This is our regular vet and they're fine. Their prices are a little high and they require stuff other vets don't so beware of additional costs. They're also really slow. No matter what you're coming in for, just take the day off and be ready to wait around for hours. Even stopping in for paperwork or dropping off for whatever, you're looking at a 45min wait at minimum. The sometimes high prices and the long waits are really my only two complaints, or at least the two at the top of the list.
Experiencia fantástica: I want to Thank the staff ,for taking such good care of my Marley Escalante ,I took him in on 5-5-24 , and not even 5 min. He was taken in for Emergency treatment. Even though my baby didn’t make it, I appreciated the care they gave him and me! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you and your hands ,so you may help others that need that special care in stressful times like this.
Experiencia positiva: I use to love this veterinary clinic but it’s become incredibly expensive. An X-ray on my dog’s single paw was $300! The medication which was 10 tablets for inflammation was $70 and another $60 for the visit. I was shocked. I couldn’t say no at that point because I wanted my pup to feel better but that’s ridiculous. Also we ended up waiting 40 minutes inside the vet room (not the waiting room) even though we were called in to see the vet, before the initial 30 minute wait in the waiting room. I’d like to add that we also went on a weekday at 1pm…
Experiencia fantástica: I am so impressed by the team that cared for my Deville. She suffered from seizures and on the worst day of her life, her routine vet could not see her. 5 clinics in East El Paso would not see her because she did not have an appointment for this emergency. EEPAH accepted us, rushed her in and cared for us both till she was at peace. Never have I met a team so attentive and caring. I will be moving all of my pets to their care. Thank you all for the kindness you showed us
Experiencia fantástica: The veterinarians at East El Paso Animal Hospital are down to earth and personable. Dr. Garza and Dr. Dominguez were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They addressed all my concerns. Dr. Garza diagnosed my puppy's health issues in a couple of hours with a few tests when another vet couldn't figure out what was wrong after a month and a referral to a diagnostic specialist. My puppy was treated like one of their own and is on his way to recovery.
Experiencia positiva: My dog went in for a teeth cleaning. Quick contact less check in, friendly service but they can get busy and forgetful. Costs discussed in depth. Surgery seemed to go well, but they left the IV catheter in my dog, and it was not easy taking it out myself at home since they had already closed. They were apologetic about the situation. Hopefully, they have a better post-op checklist now to ensure this type of thing doesn't happen again. Would still go back again.
Experiencia negativa: We have been taking our dogs to East El Paso Veterinary Hospital for several years. Our fur babies and us loved Dr Waltzer so much so that we arranged two weeks in advance to have them boarded when we were going out of town. Their answering machine indicated that the only services that they had on Sunday did not include Doctor visits or vaccines. We received ALL of their shots from another vet in order to do this. We went in the same day to drop off the shot records and paid our deposit. We spoke to Monica and she said the only thing we were missing was the flea and tick prevention that the doctor would have to administer. We agreed to the additional charges. The evening just before our trip, we took them to East El Paso Veterinary Hospital only for them to say they were missing a flu shot which we have record of but the intake person insisted that they would not accept them without us paying for another flu shot. We chose to leave because we refused to pay again for the shot that they received two weeks earlier. This left us scrambling for another boarder. Loved the doctor, but the staff were not on the same page. We will not be taking them back for any more services!
Experiencia fantástica: This has to be the best place to take your Fur babies... When my cat ran away and we were finally able to find Her She looked terrible ..after asking around Everyone told us to take her to this place. i'm so glad I did They took the utmost care of my baby cat. And when me my family decided to Adopt a dog into our family. The veterinarians here took care of us every step of the way.. Unfortunately, we did have to move again But they made sure that we had everything we needed. This place is super friendly and you can honestly tell that they care about your fur babies..I also love the Fact that I don't have to make an appointment. I can just walk in and take care of the things I need that day. For a family that's always on the go.This was a blessing
Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been coming to EEPAH for about three years now, since we moved to El Paso. All of the vets have been great to us, friendly front staff and techs, and reasonable wait times. We never have any complaints. This past week my older dog has been having continuous problems and Dr. Garza and Dr. Waltzer have been so patient and helpful with us. I really could not ask for a better place to take my fur babies. I know eventually we will have to leave El Paso, and I just hope we can find somewhere as close to great as this office.
Experiencia negativa: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Let me just say....the vets here are FABULOUS!!! (especially Dr. Waltzer).....some of the staff.....not so much. I have been a client here for YEARS! I have had a cat here for complex surgery (lymph gland removal), and a dog here for surgery....(tumor removal), same dog for tick infection treatment, stray kitten here for several courses of antibiotics..... Also many other visits with other pets. I have spent quite alot of money here. I'm NOT saying I should receive special treatment, but professional service would be nice, even expected. But...what happened yesterday was FAR from that. The only one I talked to on the phone was Brigette. My dog had been fine in the morning & even at lunchtime...but he had gone outside for a couple of hours, as yesterday was warm & finally not too windy. I went outside at about 5 & noticed he was acting off.....not wanting to eat & just laying quietly (that NEVER happens). I called & talked to Brigette & told her I was leaving home right then ( I called at 5:36). I live between Lee Trevino & George Dieter, 2 streets back from Montana. Well...construction, and 2 long green arrow lights later, I called and told Brigette that I could see the clinic & was just waiting for the green light...at Wedgewood. I pulled into the parking lot at the clinic at 6:02. There were 2 ladies waiting there, Brigette told me..."it is after 6, you can see a technician, but not a vet." I was LIVID! It's not like I just showed up after 6 & expected to be seen...I was in communication with them already!! I said some words I probably shouldn't have. I said I couldn't believe that as sick as my dog was they couldn't take a look at him....the other girl (not Brigette) THEN said to me "If you think your dog is really that sick...maybe you should leave now & go to the emergency vet." I COULD NOT BELIEVE THE TREATMENT!! THEY HAVE LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER.... I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD... That kind of comment was very UNSYMPATHETIC, not to mention unprofessional. It's too bad that the vets will never know that this happened. Instead of helping the situation, which you would expect from a profession that is built (supposedly) on caring and trust....they only made things worse. I went to the emergency vet from there, and THEY helped my dog....he is still in the hospital. That kind of comment was very UNSYMPATHETIC, not to mention unprofessional. Experiencia fantástica: First time here with my Dog Aries. I am impressed! Excellent service from front desk, assistant, and Dr. Even had some conversation with customers and everyone had nothing but good things to say. I’ll be returning with my Cat and using them as my Veterinarian go-to spot.
Experiencia fantástica: If you’re looking for a place to take your pet on the weekend, this is it! Great prices, friendly staff, compassionate veterinarians, and central location! I called around 5 places looking for a place to bring my 80 lb dog that developed a mysterious bump on his head. After stopping at Northeast Vet on the way, we decided on East El Paso! The check in process was very easy, and the wait was only about 1.5 hours. The staff did a pre evaluation as soon as we brought him inside out of care for his breathing and then we were seen by Dr Garza. He was very thorough in his exam, answered all of our questions, and provided us with the best medicine to heal him quickly. Now 3 hours later my dog is already doing better. Thank you very much!
Experiencia fantástica: Editing my review, as my experience has changed in the past years- I have been taking my fur babies to this clinic for years and they have helped me keep them healthy. My oldest fur baby is 10 years old and in great health. All the doctors are knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful. They are patient and when explaining things to us and they are the sweetest with my babies. The front staff members are also friendly and respectful. I do recommend this clinic 100%!
Experiencia fantástica: My job has made us travel for training. we boarding are two dogs. They have be so good to them. I can tell when we pick the dogs up they are not stressed or look sad. Thank you guys so much for loving are fur babies.
Experiencia fantástica: Have been going here for years they were so respectful when I had to put Olivia to sleep and made sure I had as much time as needed with her before and after and take very good care of my dog Oliver. They do walk ins and the wait is never long. Dr. Boyer and Dr Garza go above and beyond for you and your pets.
Experiencia fantástica: Thank you all for such a nurturing experience in putting our Luke to rest. May he now be without pain in preparation for his heaven.✝️ We love and miss you, Luke!
Experiencia negativa: I’m always having issues with this place. Like one other of the other reviews said just money hungry people. The employees don’t know what they’re talking about and the manger is super rude. I went on Monday 10/23 to give one of my dogs 3 vaccines and the total came out to 220. And today I brought my other dog who only needed 2 vaccines on Thursday 10/26 and the bill was 236 so I asked the staff why it was much higher than the other pet, who got more shots. She said it was because of her weight. I know my dogs weigh about the same so I asked her how much did the dog I took today weigh, she said 21 and I asked her how much does the dog I brought on 10/23 weigh and she said 22.. she had no explanation to why the price went up. I asked to call manager and the manger blonde lady super rude can’t even help with my concern comes and just tries to treat me stupid and says proheart prices changed on Monday. Which Monday was 10/23 so I told her I brought my dog Monday and you guys still charged me less and she came up with her lie of it changed at the end of the day. A couple months back another one of my dogs on the app was due for like 4 vaccines so we panicked and took her immediately. When we took her to the back the tech checked her and the vet came out with 4 shots and he double checked her profile and he said she only needed 2 shots. When we went to pay they were still charging her for one of the shots she didn’t get. A year ago one of my dogs got parvo and got treated here at east El Paso animal hospital. She stayed for like a week and They would feed her of a tube because she didn’t want to eat herself and when she came out she couldn’t swallow hard food for 6 months she would start crying like she couldn’t breathe. We took her back the very next day vet said she got excited to go home and she hurt her neck a little??? I’ll pay whatever price for my healthy fur babies but it sucks that I’m paying all this money and the staff aren't properly trained with their prices or with the dogs needs. I have to keep all the receipts from there because I have to be double checking if they didn’t get this shot or if they did. I can’t trust them with my dogs no more.
Experiencia fantástica: I was visiting from Houston and my dog got sick. They take walk ins only - which was perfect!! No wait time. The girls in the front were all very sweet and caring. The Vet- don’t remember his name (male) was nice as well. My mom took my dog back for a follow up and she was very happy with the service she received as well. She said she will definitely go back there for any future issues.
Experiencia fantástica: I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Although wait times can be long due to the lower cost compared to other places the doctors and vet technicians make it worth it. I have been coming here for 3 years and they have improved their wait times and how you enter its queue. I would recommend this place to friends and family and will continue to choose this Vet Clinic. Thank you Dr. Garza and all other doctors at this clinic. I appreciate your compassion during difficult times and your expertise on my visits. Always a positive experience!
Experiencia fantástica: East El Paso Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to take your anxious pet! Our dog comes out of being groomed happy and always looking nice! The vets and nurses are very patient and helpful with our dog, even when he is anxious during a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: We have always taken our beloved BluBoy to this Hosp. and never had a bad experience! Cost is minimal and fair very professional service.
Experiencia fantástica: My wife and I have been bringing our cats to East El Paso Animal Hospital for years. The providers and staff are always courteous, empathetic, and professional. The facility is clean and modern. When our cats received health care for on going issues we always received follow up calls from the staff inquiring about their health and asking if we have any questions. Additionally they offer boarding that while a little pricey is worth the money. If you board your pets at the clinic you can be assured that your furry family members will receive the best care available.
Experiencia negativa: Doctor is very sweet no issue with the vets as they are very personable and compassionate with my senior dog. However I always have an issue with the staff unresponsive to emails, sometimes rude. I've shopped vets in El Paso and have noticed they do charge more than other clinics. I come here because it's close but started just making the drive elsewhere due to the responses or moods you can feel from the front desk staff.
Experiencia fantástica: Very friendly. The application it's very helpful let you do different things from booking an appointment to order food for your pets. You can see what you have been done in your visits. Just amazing and the prices really great, the personal very helpful and friendly. ♡
Experiencia fantástica: Very professional and friendly animal hospital. One of our dogs had major surgery here and has recovered 100% at 15 years old. We are grateful for the successful procedure. If you can I recommend getting a script written and having it filled at Walmart as it will save you a lot of money as opposed to buying directly from the clinic.
Experiencia positiva: This was initial visit for our 2 new puppies. Entire staff was very friendly and very professional. We were continually asked if we had any questions and what our expectations were. We will continue to use East El Paso Animal Hospital as they are very pet and customer oriented.
Experiencia negativa: When I first came here over a year ago, the staff was great. It was a rough patch for me at the time, I had my 11 year old cat die, followed by my 12 year old dog, and then my 16 year old cat all while I was pregnant so I held this place in high regard. Dr. Garza was great and explained the end of life services to me for my 16 year old cat. The staff was great and made me feel very welcomed every single time. A year later, I am disgusted. The Dr. I had this time, I believe her name is Dr. Waltzer, was great but what really upset me was the Vet Tech Sam. She's mouthy, rude, and had the sheer audacity to catch an attitude when I made her do her job for my dog and my cat. I was charged twice for my dog to receive his rabies shot, which they never even told us, and he's only 7 months old and received this rabies shot a month apart from the last one. With my cat, she's 3-legged so I prioritize her comfort and this "tech" shamed me for putting a bed in MY cat's carrier. AND wouldn't have given her the annual vaccines that came with the exam unless I said something. I understand being busy, which didn't bother me, but if you choose to do this work, be a professional and keep your judgy and condescending comments to yourself, Sam. If this is how you behave with patients that aren't difficult, I'm terrified to see how you behave with "difficult" customers. I'm taking my business elsewhere.
Experiencia fantástica: I have been bringing Ziggy ever since he was 10 weeks old. I love Donna she does a great job on Ziggy chow chow
Experiencia negativa: Personally will never be back to this place of business. They cut up my dogs ear after telling me three different things that could have caused his ear to fill up blood and get infected. Then followed it with I should never breed my dog because of this . And they are way over priced. Keep looking for a better vet before going here
Experiencia positiva: Great staff. They are short on doctors, so they don't take any medical consults on weekends. That was one of the reasons I chose them. It is difficult to get in to see a vet if you work. Saturday hours make it much easier. They have good doctors and a compassionate staff. I would confidently recommend them.
Experiencia fantástica: Always very good quality care for all my fur babies. Prices are reasonable and they treat you like family instead of just customers. They also helped to spot a growth that turned out to be cancerous on one of my dogs and immediately got her in to remove it. Very well may have saved her life! Highly recommend going here.
Experiencia fantástica: Always excellent service here at East Animal Hospital. The staff are always friendly and we are in and out quickly, hardly any waiting.
Experiencia fantástica: Very well run Animal hospital. The staff is very friendly; and you don't have to wait very long to be seen by a vet. I was there recently with my dog cooper and everything turned out good. My dog is now back to normal self; and that makes me happy
Experiencia fantástica: Drs Schoemann, Waltzer and Boyer are the best!! They are very caring and have the best staff. I left my fur baby for about a week for boarding. She was well taken care of and loved upon. Can’t ask for a better place to take care of my fur baby
Experiencia negativa: If you’re a foster they don’t give you updates since you’re not the one paying apparently. I really did like them but because I’m just the foster I don’t deserve to know how the babies are doing.. it’s literally just a follow up call. Wait for 30 plus minutes to be told they would let me know about a baby we brought in but I get it guys since I’m not footing the bill my concerns go un noticed. Well I won’t use them personally then.
Experiencia fantástica: East El Paso Animal Hospital provides exceptional service. The doctors take the necessary time to provide the best care for your pet. I have been taking my dogs there since 1998 and have never had a bad experience. They are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. The staff is also friendly and professional. Randy is always willing to help and truly cares about the animals. He took care of my rescue dog for several months while he was there, and he is always pleasant with each fur baby and the customers.
Experiencia fantástica: I LOVE East Animal Hospital. I've been taking all of my animals to them for YEARS (14+) and have never had a problem! The front desk employee Randy is SO kind and empathetic! You can sit there and open up to him easily about your fur babies (or anything), and you can really feel his heart hurting for you, happy for you, or genuinely caring about what you are saying. All of the ladies at the front desk are so sweet too. It's always comforting to be at a doctor's office where the staff is welcoming and warm. The world needs more LOVE, kindness and compassion. Be the change you want to see. Shine bright. Be yourself. Share the love. Thank you East Animal Hospital for always taking care of my fur babies! :) Love and blessings, Your fellow animal mama and lover <3
Experiencia fantástica: amazing care for my fur babies! Dr. Waltzer is very caring and informative when it comes to my little Tessie Mae (red heeler mix)! staff is always so gentle with my anxious 6yr old German shepherd Whiskey. front staff is always so welcoming and kind :)
Experiencia fantástica: Had my dog brought in because he was not feeling well. After a big of a wait they got him back, took x-rays and then spoke about a treatment plan. The vet was so helpful and answered all of my questions even though he was busy and made sure everything was okay. My dog started feeling better by the next day with the meds and I could not be happier. I really appreciate this vet for being available on the weekends.
