Experiencia fantástica: I took my dog Pancho to TLC last year for a rattlesnake bite and yesterday I had my dog Sophie spayed. They are super-kind and compassionate to animals and the vets and staff are 1st class. If you come in as a walk-in there could be a wait since they are often busy but that's understandable.

Experiencia fantástica: We are new to the area and had a really great first time experience here with our Papillon. Customer service is excellent the place is very busy however we found that a Plus. The vet was very thorough and looking over our baby and giving us suggestions for treatment. We feel very comfortable taking all of our Papillons back for future services.

Experiencia negativa: I love some Dr's but, staff keep you on hold for 30 minutes ,they tried charging for a pregnancy test but a gentleman up front said they don't even give them Male Dr's are reasonably priced female Dr's over charge Why is that? I was charged 2000 and she wanted to over charge more. I understand they are busy unfortunately we expect the staff to give us updates, but accurate updates, I had staff telling me different things about my baby come to find out it wasn't even the case Please staff find out all the facts before

Experiencia fantástica: The vets are absolutely amazing. Our dog was treated by Dr Rubio and later (in larger part) by Dr Lara - five star doesn’t quite do justice. They are committed, knowledgeable, experienced, passionate and caring. The practice allows walk-ins and even with appointments one can get stuck waiting excessively but the vets & technicians work like crazy to treat every pet. It’s not always ideal but that’s how we got our dog seen when he needed quick help so it’s just a give and take and being prepared.

Under Dr. Dashley’s ownership, they have been consistently adding cutting edge treatments and practices. The employees truly care for their patients as if they are their own.

Experiencia negativa: I'm very pleased with the doctors, they do show they care about all the babies they see on a daily basis. What I'm not pleased with at all, and I'm writing this review while I'm still on hold for now 20 minutes, is that when you call they don't answer!! They just put you on hold and never get to you. I'm at work, I cannot be on the phone but I do need to schedule appointments for my babies. Terrible front desk service.

Experiencia fantástica: The word expensive is relative, for some expensive does not mean the same as for others, with this being said I thought this place was expensive, but it is so worth every penny, they took care of my pet, went above and beyond, stayed late to perform emergency surgery, let us visit until past visiting hours. Could not recommend this place more. We'll worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: I was nervous about my cat getting neutered, but he was in good hands. The staff is friendly and take good care of their patients. His healing process has been great. He was acting himself when we got home after his surgery. He was drinking water with no issues. The doctor called me the following day to see how my cat was doing. I can genuinely tell that he cares about animals. I will always recommend TLC for any fur baby. Wether it's a regular checkup, or something more serious such as surgeries.

Experiencia fantástica: Super satisfied with my visit at TLC everyone there is very friendly and super helpful. I needed a dental cleaning and spay my dog , they guided me with every step of way. They are very affordable and also do payment plans ! They took care of my dog very well the day of the cleaning and with the spay they called me every time they were done with a procedure giving me updates that my dog was doing great and me not having to worry , I definitely recommend TLC !

Experiencia negativa: Doctor Lara was absolutely not helpful with my cat Grey. He was ignoring everything my father was telling him, concerns for my cat, and did not seem like he wanted to help him at all.

Experiencia negativa: I just moved to El Paso and brought my small dog to TLC because it holds a "fear free" certification and because of its good reviews. My experience was not positive, however. Like many who've written critical reviews, despite that we had a scheduled appointment, we had to wait well beyond our appointment time before being escorted into an examination room. In-between speaking with a vet tech, the arrival of the vet, and again before going back to the lab for tests, we had to wait even longer. I am accustomed to vet clinics with staff who care deeply for animals, and I did not get that sense at TLC at all. Everything was strictly clinical and most certainly business (although I did not inquire, I was given cost estimates for two procedures that had nothing to do with the reason for our visit). The clinic was packed. It would seem they schedule too many appointments for their capacity, making them unable to tend to patients in a timely or caring manner. The waiting area is poorly designed to manage that large a number of waiting clients. When we first arrived, a couple with a very large dog was sitting just inside the door, and their dog barked loudly and lunged at us as soon as we walked in, scaring us (my dog and I had been attacked by a large dog in the past, so the experience was stressful and definitely not fear free). Another person in the waiting room told me the same dog had lunged at him, and after we entered, the dog lunged at someone else. The staff should have done something to stop this, but did not. Finally, and despite that my dog generally does well at the vet, a few hours after we left he became ill and spent the night vomiting. He developed diarrhea and a temperature. The only variation to his routine was our vet visit. The next morning I called to inquire whether anything had happened while my dog was in the lab (I was not present), and the vet said she could not identify that anything remarkable had happened. The tone of our conversation, like our visit, seemed devoid of concern for my dog's well-being. As a result, we will not return to TLC and will continue to search for a veterinary practices more aligned with our preferences and goals.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I had just moved to Texas from California with our two chow chows Samson and Arya. Samson had some health issues most noted his arthritis in all 4 legs. After noticing he was struggling more than usually we brought him in to TLC. We were already nervous about our boy but now also because we had no idea if we were stepping into an animal hospital that we could trust or not. From the first exam we knew we were in the right place. All of our concerns were written down by our technician and our doctor went down the list noting everything we mentioned when it came to the specific symptom. We were sent home with medication for his arthritis and set to come back for a Cushing test the following week or so. However, in the middle of the day on 8/13 our boy was almost completely unresponsive and had very little ability to move so I called TLC and they had me rush him in also informing me that in the future no call is needed to just walk in if it’s an emergency situation. My husband had to carry our boy in and at 70 pounds he is not light but the technician was already made aware and she was at the door ready to take over. She carried him hurriedly into the treatment area with ease understanding the severity of the situation. My husband had to go pick up my father in law from the airport which left me alone to deal with what I knew was grief as I have veterinarian technician experience and knew the feeling well. The staff took care of me though moving me into an exam room giving me tissues and even a little button I could press that rings a bell to alert someone if I needed anything. After the doctor did an ultrasound she came to let me know our Samson had what looked like a mass on his liver. Once we approved additional imaging we found out it was three masses. On his heart, spleen, and liver. The one on his liver had caused internal bleeding. We had to say goodbye to our boy on this day. My husband brought his dad and our other dog Arya which TLC was very nice about letting all of us be in the room as we said goodbye. After this sad day we decided to bring in our other chow chow Arya as now we were paranoid and wanted to make sure she was healthy. Thankfully she is and no signs of arthritis despite the fact that she is almost 9 and has had to diet due to being a little over chunky. TLC was very accommodating not putting us in the exam room where we said goodbye to our Samson and the doctor who originally saw him also saw Arya and gave his condolences. We love this place and we have only been in Texas 6 months and are very picky with our vet care. Please bring your pets here as they will be given the best care without a hefty price tag

Experiencia fantástica: I took in my bunny this morning, everyone was really nice they explained everything very well , although there wasn’t much they could do anymore for my baby, I’m sure she is in a better place now and that they took care of her and her last minutes with lots of love .

Experiencia fantástica: They saved my furbaby's life My little buddy Eugene developed a gagging hacking cough a year ago, it was only once or twice a day, our old vet said it was acid reflux no xrays taken just some medicine for the acid reflux. Skip forward to Tuesday gagging cough is worst now about every 3 or 4 minutes. Rushed Eugene to TLC, as we had changed to them. Dr Lara heard the cough and gagging and knew exactly what it was he took some xrays and there it was trachea collapse and enlarged heart. Been 4 days on the medication we were given and Eugene is his same old self again. I should have changed to this Vet Clinic years ago and maybe we could have prevented this by catching it early. I highly recommend this clinic to all pet owners, as they care about your pets from the front desk, vet techs and especially the doctors. I ans Eugene really love Dr Lara, and the fact is Eugene does not like male vets, but Dr Lara put him at ease and Eugene loved the attention.

Experiencia fantástica: Update2: Just want to take a moment to appreciate Dr Dashley. Dr. Dashley has helped me with one of my hamster's, Toothless, malocclusion. Despite working with a tiny hamster, Dr. Dashley did an amazing job trimming his teeth every two weeks and making every effort to be available for his tooth trims when he needed them. Dr Dashley is carrying the weight of el paso's exotic vet care on her shoulders and we really appreciate her! She also helped us with an urgent care of a diaphragmatic hernia in a cat we rescued. She was able to fit us in for emergency surgery at a very reasonable price. Also want to give a special shoutout to vet tech Yvette, who is always going above and beyond to help my animals. The rest of the staff and vet techs have always been kind and helpful as well! Update: I have now been taking my hamster Snowdrop for several months because she has a complicated dental issue. Despite the difficulty of her case and how busy the clinic is, Dr Reyes has been finding new ways to help her have a good quality of life despite her dental problems. Grateful to have a vet like Dr Reyes in El Paso! I brought my hamster Hercule to this clinic because of its good reviews and exotic vets. It is quite far from our home but very worth the drive. The staff and Dr Reyes were very patient and caring with our very squirmy hamster! Dr Reyes was knowledgeable and explained our options very well. He had to get a procedure done and had to remain at TLC for a couple of hours but the staff provided updates on his status and condition via phone call while he was there. Very happy with the service.

Experiencia fantástica: Over the last three days all four of our dogs were seen by Dr Lara and his staff. It’s rare that all four are sick at the same time but TLC were fantastic all the way. They were open on Saturday and kept up with the all the questions we had. I would recommend TLC and Dr Lara for your fur babies care.

He had a speedy recovery thanks to the Dr. Dr even went out of their way to call the following day to check on my fur baby. Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING staff including Dr. Gonzalez. We were seen pretty quickly as we were walk-ins and they were fairly busy already. We didn't mind waiting as we were already told what a great place it was so we didn't want to go anywhere else and they didn't disappoint. My dog is usually a bit nervous around new people but they immediately got down on the floor with him, the tech & Dr., and gave him lots of love making him feel secure. He walked to the back with them easily to get his bloodwork and his vaccinations. They explained EVERYTHING in detail and went over all the costs, medications, possibilities, tests just everything. We walked out of there feeling knowledgeable about all aspects of our time there. I highly recommend TLC Animal Hospital, they care about you pet, you and your wallet. Experiencia fantástica: SAVED OUR DOGS LIFE TODAY!!! (Second time this has happened in our pack) Here’s the story! Today wife was snacking on grapes and a few fell to the floor. Our LH Dalmatian ate them. The receptionist talked to the doc immediately and advised we bring him in right away to induce vomiting. Grapes are TOXIC! My wife got him in and they saw him and treated him right away. Gave him fluids and we have a follow up here within very few days. This could have been SO BAD! Dr. Castorena is the best! She also saw Ruger a few years ago when he played too hard (best we can guess) and threw his back out while we were at work. Gave him a couple more great years until we had to make a hard decision on June 20, 2024 when due to age he started to decline. Best team ever!!! We are moving to Clint soon but will make the regular drive here. Been coming here for my babies since moving here in 2016. No one else is better!

Dr. Ramirez and Dr. Castorena have treated our pets in the past and it’s obvious that they truly care about the animals and their owners. The techs are also amazing, the front staff too. The place is always clean and the care is just outstanding. I wish all vets were like this and all other vets need to learn from this facility.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m still in process of getting an amputation for my dogs leg, I have been to 3 different vets within the location of East side. Between Jazzy, the lady on the phone and Dr. Casterena making me feel absolutely at peace with procedures going forward with my dog, I have been so grateful for them. Her diagnosis was perfectly on point and I second guessed her, and swear I will never again do that! My dog is a bigger dog and considered a senior now and she absolutely does wonderful with him. I also want to add my dog has zero pain tolerance, she is gentle with him and works well with my baby boy.

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment for 4:30 just for a shot booster and was not seen until 5:45. Had to go ask if I was forgotten about before they got me back to the room. Prices are higher than I’m use too and it’s confusing that I was charged a vaccine consultation fee when I’m the one that called and said I need these shots and here are her prior vaccine records with dates. So I’m not sure who did the consulting. Staff was nice.

As first time visitor wait time wasn't bad the vet assistant was very helpful gave a free nail trim. Dr ramirez was the vet my pup saw, very nice vet will most likely be seeing her again

Experiencia negativa: Very disappointed in TLC recently. After taking my dog three times last week stating he was extremely lethargic and was not himself. He was coughing and would refuse to drink water, TLC kept telling me he was fine and he was just recovering from a teeth cleaning. I took him to another vet to get a second opinion and come to find out my dog had a fever, and a tracheal infection. They’ve become so busy with so many patients that they have lost the basic morals of running a veterinary office. Lo

Experiencia fantástica: I've been at this location coming into 21 years now. All of my animals throughout the years, have been taken care of with the outmost care and knowledge of their work. Both Dr. Dashley and Dr. Lara along with all the tech vets, my favorite and friend Letty R. don't disappoint. If you love your animals, you don't have to look any further. This is the place where you'll be treated with respect and are able to care for your pets, no matter the species. UPDATE 2025 BUT I've loss a pet recently and they always send a sympathy card and this time nothing!! I asked why I haven't of which I thought would be petty to do so but I was hurt by it because I've been coming for over 25 years now . Well they said people get offense to receiving such a gesture for losing a pet. I couldn't believe it. Very disappointed by it. Businesses change especially when that is such a simple kind compassion gesture of which I'll never understand. They're still good at what they do just not at sending a sympathy card. Needed to share it. What do you think, would you take offense to a card?

Dr. Lara and his entire team treated my sweet girl with such kindness and compassion, especially knowing how anxious she gets at the vet. Her wagon and blanket bring her comfort, and the staff went above and beyond to respect that. We’re so grateful for the care she received and will definitely be bringing all our pets here from now on!

Experiencia fantástica: I am a customer for life! I love everything about this practice. The entire staff are compassionate, empathetic and professional. All of my pets are patients of Dr. Dashley. She’s been Vet to my birds and my dogs. Dr. Dashley is the kindest and most gentle veterinarian I’ve ever worked with. When the time came to say goodbye to my very senior dogs the staff were very sensitive to our needs. We were given all the time we needed for those most difficult final moments. The staff allowed us to grieve in office without interruption and the noise from the reception area was very minimal. We were also given commemorative paw impressions of our precious pups prior to leaving. For me, the kindness and comfort everyone showed us is EVERYTHING!! Routine appointments and services are always great but when it’s time to bid farewell to your beloved family, it’s a great relief to know you’ll be treated with the utmost respect and care. I recommend pet owners of every variety bring your family here.

He was so thorough, compassionate, and takes the time to really walk through each of their issues with care and clarity. I’ve never felt rushed or brushed off, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about their health and well-being. Our vet tech (I believe her name was Marissa) was also amazing. She was incredibly detailed, answered every single question I had, and followed through on everything she said she would. It made such a difference to feel supported and informed throughout the whole visit. This kind of care is rare and so appreciated. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a team that’s not only skilled, but also kind and attentive. Prices are also VERY reasonable.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. Today, I visited this clinic for the first time with my pet, a three-year-old guinea pig. We went without an appointment because it was an emergency, and they accepted us as a walk-in. We didn't wait in the waiting room for long, considering we didn't have an appointment; we waited about an hour. The service and care were excellent. The staff and Dr. Rubio explained all the details very clearly. They gave us time and space to ask questions. They are excellent professionals. We will return for follow-up care for our pet.

Experiencia fantástica: I want to share my beautiful and amazing experience i had at TLC. One week ago I took my little chihuahua named Coco for a dental visit. Dr Rubio was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. My Coco needed dental surgery. Dr Rubio was very thorough. She explained the whole process of the surgery, and really took her time in examining my baby. She made us feel comfortable with the care my baby. Coco had his dental surgery the next day. I really appreciated that they kept me informed throughout the surgery. This was the first time that we took Coco to TLC and certainly won't be the last time. We have another pet named Bamboo and we are taking him also. The receptionists are very welcoming and the rest of the staff were compassionate. Hands down to Dr Rubio I highly recommend TLC animal hospital to everyone who loves, loves ❤️ their pets and wants their pets treated with love and compassion. TLC exceeded my expectations. My family and myself are greatful for him and everything he did for them up until their end of life. After having a horrible experience at another vet I will now bring my own dog here. Even though my dog is reactive I noticed he was much more comfortable at this vet clinic. All the doctors & staff are kind, knowledgeable, and professional.

Experiencia fantástica: TLC has helped us so much with our seven cats, now five. And also the outside cats that are feral that we come across and try to rescue. For over 10 years we have been rescuing cats and with their help have been very successful in that endeavor. The doctors are very accommodating, especially with the last two beloved cats that needed to be put to sleep. The staff and doctors are the best I have found in El Paso as we have been taking our cats and found cats to vets for 25 years now, about 6 years through TLC. No other vet or staff has shown the same amount of concern about our cats and their health as TLC. We have seen over 30 different vets in El Paso over the last 25 years and the caring for all types of animals is far greater than any other. I would especially like to thank Dr. Latta for his sincere empathy with out last cat. He, and his tech, were loving, understand, and gentle with her end of life care. I am not a good enough writer to fully express adequately how much they have helped and their empathy towards us at a very sad time. I wish I could name all the staff that has helped us over the years, but I cannot except for Letti who is so understanding and helpful. She is an exceptional person. One last point, I feel so safe at TLC with the care and understanding and could never think of taking any of our precious pets to any other vet. Experience has shown that they are the best and my pets deserve the best.

Experiencia negativa: I usually never leave bad reviews but I can't shake the feeling of leaving it. I went in to get my dog allergy medicine, I explained his symptoms and while I can accept they are thorough, I feel they really do try to take as much money as they can. They began telling me he might have cancer and I need all these extra tests (we don't usually come here so we went back to our regular vet and he is very healthy and was given optional allergy meds) they quoted me 800 to just treat symptoms but not actually treat him. I said no and left with a 500 dollar vet bill with no answers and just a antibiotic + probiotic + plastic cone. It definitely was not necessary and it was a waste of our time.

Experiencia fantástica: I have very anxious cattle dogs that struggle at the vet. I have taken one of my dogs three times now. Each time my dog was met where she was, and was not forced into anything. The staff made my dog and her feeling safe their priority. Every attempt was made to make her feel comfortable. I very much appreciate how my dogs are cared for. I was called to check up on my dog after she was sedated for X-rays. I often get anxious at the vet because my girls get anxious. It’s often not a pleasant experience for me or them. TLC goes the extra mile and truly honors fear free! I feel at ease when I know I am bringing my dog there. I can’t recommend them enough.

Experiencia fantástica: I brought my girl to get her rabies vaccination & certificate needed to travel overseas on a military PCS. Dr. Rubio and the vet techs were so incredibly kind and helpful with completing the certificate. You can tell everyone at this clinic truly cares about helping their patients. It's also worth noting that they also have a 10% discount for military on Tuesdays! We are not El Paso residents, but if we were, this would be our primary clinic.

She takes her time with each visit, never rushing, and always making sure my dogs feel safe and loved. She even gives them whipped cream before their shots so they stay relaxed and never get scared—a small gesture that shows just how thoughtful and passionate she is. When our beloved Bombon passed away, Dr. Rubio showed us incredible empathy. She gave my family and me a private room and all the time we needed to say goodbye in peace. It’s something we’ll never forget. Her dedication to animals and the families who love them is extraordinary. Dr. Rubio isn’t just a vet—she’s a blessing. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone who truly cares in every sense of the word.

Experiencia fantástica: I wanted to share my experience with TLC, from the first moment that I brought my chihuahua Bailee L. in years ago, to the very last visits, each staff member has always treated me and my little girl with the upmost care. My sweet little girl sadly passed away today from heart disease but I wanted to say thank you so much for being the people that we knew to count on, when she wasn’t feeling well. I’ll always miss my little girl but I’m glad she had a dedicated and trust team for her.

Experiencia fantástica: My female cockatiel was very sick with an egg binding infection and metal poisoning. I felt that she was on her last leg and was so distraught. The bird vet there and the staff was so understanding and really put my cockatiel Feathers first. They saved her life and only charged me for the fluids and were so positive. My Feathers is still with us today and she is going strong!!! Thank you so much! I trust all my parrots to TLC.. the title means what it says!!!

Experiencia negativa: Made an appointment for two senior pets to get 3 yr vaccines. I said it when I scheduled, I said it when I checked in, I told the tech who set up the appointment. At check out I was told they gave annual vaccines, and the only thing they could do was vaccinate again in 30 days at my expense. The whole point being my pets are seniors and I wanted to reduce the amount of vaccines they need. No one apologized for the error and they were very dismissive about it. They were very nice to my pets, but unfortunately I wouldn’t return due to the lacking client care.

They were very understanding with Mochi and provided education and support for me to better manage complications I discussed with them about my boy. It’s not expensive in the way I expected, it was VERY reasonable. I walked out feeling proud. Not oversold. You shouldn’t look for cheaper care for family.

Experiencia fantástica: Our dog was listless, not drinking or eating, as there had been flu in our household we were concerned. The office got us scheduled in early at 8 the next morning where the vet did a thorough check and found she had infected teeth and gums. TLC was able to provide the necessary care that day. When we picked the dog up there were questions but they were promptly addressed by the manager who went over the home care. I am very happy to say Great job and Service by the staff and veterinary doctors. They understood our concern, and helped us greatly. Great service. Highly recommend this veterinary practice.

Experiencia fantástica: I am new to El Paso and I needed help managing my dog’s fear induced anxiety. I contacted a Vet close to my home. After hearing my woes, the Vet pointed me to Dr Washley at TLC instead. He felt she would be better suited to help. Dr Washley and her Team were compassionate and very helpful. I was given a great deal of advice, literature to review, and steps to adjusting Tesse’s medication to help aid with her anxiety. The situation isn’t going to resolve overnight. I believe Dr Washley will help see us through.

Furbaby was their focus for both assistant and vet. Assistant was very good. She answered my concerns and questions. Also supplied me with information I had requested. She was both sweet and professional while handling my Baby. The vet was equally good. My fur ball is very spicy but the vet handled him like he was her own. So very cool. Talking to her about concerns was like talking to a friend. Everyone is so thoughtful there, office staff, too. HIGHLY recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: We moved from Ohio to El Paso, TX, while trying to find a Veterinarian Clinic all the reviews from other clinics were awful, I asked Petco who was the best and they said TLC, they also said it wasn’t close to our home, we decided to try them, it was well worth the drive. They helped me with my dogs condition with his pancreas. The staff is so nice and helpful, I highly recommend them for all your animal needs. They have a clean and professional establishment. I was so glad we listened to Petco and went to TLC. I will be forever grateful for their compassion towards my dog and me.

I’ve had 3 fur babies throughout the years and for 14 years I took them to another clinic, over the years the clinic I took them to became more money obsessed and less compassionate… I eventually lost two of my precious babies one month apart due to doctors negligence and him over prescribing medication. I had one baby left and was determined to find an amazing doctor for her after everything we’ve been through. I came across TLC and I’m beyond happy with the service my Roxanne and I get here, from the staff to the doctors I really feel my baby isn’t just a number, her health matters as much to them as it does to me. Roxanne got blessed to have Dr. Rubio as her doctor and she’s been amazing! I never feel rushed when speaking with her and no question is too small for her, she’s very compassionate and always so gentle with my Roxie. Dr Rubio is the reason my baby is still with me, she saved my Roxie’s life, we are forever thankful to everyone at TLC.

They were amazing back then and they are amazing now that we took our cat in for Lymphoma. I'm forever grateful for the compassion everyone in this clinic showed when we decided to put our cat to sleep. You made Bucky's last moments very peaceful and full of love and care and that's something I'll never forget.

Experiencia fantástica: Took my rabbit, no appt was needed. This is a very busy place. We had to wait but time went by fast as there were so many clients taking their pets. So you lose track of time seeing all these different pets being brought in. Big dogs, small dogs and no fighting amongst them. Animals seem to behave and have better manners than us humans, because no matter the breed they seemed to respect their space. There was plenty of room plenty of seating and very nicely divided so you don't feel crowded. Both humans and pets have their space. They were efficient in taking care of my rabbit Hope. Explained everything in human terms so I understood. Will be taking Hope back and taking ThumPeu in for a checkup as well.
