BluePearl in Clearwater, FL is a 24-hour emergency vet and specialty animal hospital serving the greater Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Largo, Seminole, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Indian Rocks Beach, Bay Pines, Safety Harbor, Pinellas Park and other areas of Pinellas County. We are well-equipped to serve your pet with two surgical suites, nine exam rooms and diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, X-rays and more. We are happy to offer Saturday ophthalmology appointments. Experiencia negativa: Buyer beware. Blue Pearl is owned by Mars. Yes, the Mars candy company. I would never take an animal to a vet clinic owned by a candy company or to any major corporation for that matter. Obviously, animals do not eat candy. The point is a company that pushes unhealthy sweets for humans to turn a profit, most likely values profits over animals. My pet had major surgery last year. The cost of all of his many tests, specialist visits, surgery and hospitalization was about the same as what some of the people I know have paid Blue Pearl for just a visit and testing. Please shop around and be your pet's advocate for medical care.There are much better, locally owned emergency and surgery centers in Pinellas county.

Experiencia negativa: I am writing this review to recount a recent and critical medical journey concerning my beloved French Bulldog, Leo, who required specialized ophthalmological care for a eye injury that after weeks of treatment was not healing. Following the recommendation of our family veterinarian, I scheduled an appointment at Blue Pearl in Largo with Dr. Baldwin. The experience I encountered there was profoundly unsettling and fell significantly short of my expectations for professional veterinary care. It was imperative that I be present during Leo's examination, a decision that proved to be particularly insightful given the circumstances. It is vital to note that Leo has a complex medical history, having required resuscitation during a dental procedure in September 2025. This incident necessitated that any future sedation or anesthesia be meticulously planned and executed with extreme caution. Regrettably, Blue Pearl demonstrated an unwillingness to engage in collaborative planning with our primary care veterinarian, their anesthesiologist, and ophthalmologist to formulate a safe sedation protocol for Leo. Furthermore, the physical examination was conducted in a manner that caused considerable distress to Leo. Despite being aware of his pre-existing neck injury and IVDD, the staff appeared to disregard these conditions, handling him with undue force. A veterinary technician justified the tight restraint of Leo's head by stating it was to protect the veterinarian from potential biting. While I fully appreciate the need for safety, the intensity of the restraint, particularly in light of Leo's known spinal issues, was alarming. The consultation itself seemed misdirected; my primary concern was the injured eye, yet the examination focused broadly, even providing details about a cataract in his unaffected eye and the absence of dry eye, rather than comprehensively addressing the acute injury. This unsatisfactory consultation incurred a charge of nearly $400.00. Thankfully I was able to move forward with the required procedure at Veterinary Vision of Florida. I highly recommend any one who requires eye care for their pet(s) to be seen here versus Blue Pearl.

Experiencia fantástica: Went here on a weekend with my sweet blue parrotlet, Chewy, who accidently got under Dad's foot. I didn't think he would survive. They treated us with urgency and compassion, and professionalism. I highly recommend this place. I'm happy to say that after 5 weeks, his little broken lower beak has healed and he is eating on his own again! Thank you!
Experiencia fantástica: This was the second time my husband and I had to take our little girl to Blue Pearl! Both times, everyone was very friendly starting from us calling ahead to the very end! Harper has been cared for so well! We also appreciate them letting us know that her visit could be quick or could take awhile depending on if another animal comes in that requires immediate attention. I'm a nurse, so I understood this prior to even arriving, but I know other pet parents appreciate the transparency! Regardless, Harper's issue was well taken care of in a great amount of time because thankfully no emergencies came through. But overall, expect to wait for a few hours because pending the time, they may have some animals in there with worse issues than yours. I will always be willing to wait because their care is top tier and my dachshund deserves nothing but the best, especially during situations that require immediate care and her vet isn't open. He took time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the entire appointment. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and his owners. I'm so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Dr. Fultz to anyone needing a cardiology evaluation for their pet. The staff is all amazingly caring there and if you have pet insurance (trupanion) they filed the claim for us so it didn't come out of our pocket. Experiencia fantástica: My Daughter and I give Blue Pearl the “ 5 stars” it truly deserves. We had several tests that had to be performed on our dog that ended up being a very lengthy appointment for us and we were there for a few hours, but the nurse staff and doctors made our visit very welcoming. They were always checking on us to make sure we were doing good while we waited for our dog to be cared for. If you have a need to have excellent care for your furry babies Blue Pearl is the best choice.

Everyone from the beginning to the end, gave me lots of petting and love which helped me be at ease as the tests can be a little scary at times. My guy, Dr. Fultz, is the best cardiologist ever and so is his team! I didn't have to wait at all, so I didn't get more nervous.. My mommy paid the bill, because I don't carry money with me, and she said it was a reasonable price and worth it to see me so happy and healthy!! Thank you to everyone for being so good to me. Experiencia fantástica: My dog was in a diabetic crisis. My vet, VEG, and another vet all said to take him to the emergency room/Specialist at Blue Pearl off Ulmerton and we did. He spent 2 days there and yes, it's expensive but you have piece of mind he gets 24/7 care with all the equipment right there. Petey is home and doing well!
Experiencia fantástica: Lucy’s eye is red. She had it for 3 weeks. We weren’t rushed thru the appt and her condition and treatment was explained and typed out for me. They also sent the notes to Lucy’s vet. Very happy with the service.
Experiencia negativa: I took my 2-year-old cat in for an ultrasound and fever, and it was revealed that his kidneys were enlarged and he had excessive abdominal fluid. The subsequent diagnosis suggested an overnight stay for treatment and further examination, which came at a cost of around $5,700. Dr. Ganey's suspicions were of FIP or lymphoma emphasizing the need for lab results before proceeding with treatment, a process that would be delayed due to the Thanksgiving holiday. When I picked him up the following day, his condition had taken a turn for the worse, with labored breathing, restlessness, and cries of pain, which was heart-wrenching to witness. We were sent home without guidance on syringe feeding, pain management medication, or even syringes, leaving him to suffer through the night. It was disheartening to learn that FIP medication was not stocked and would need to be ordered, a delay that would likely seal his fate. With his rapid decline, the difficult decision to euthanize him was made the day after I brought him home, before lab results were in, as waiting would have meant prolonged suffering. The diagnosis later confirmed FIP, and while the outcome might have been the same, knowing the treatment options upfront would have been helpful. This experience has left me heartbroken, and I bitterly regret taking him to BluePearl due to their prohibitive costs and lack of transparency, particularly regarding medication availability. I am devastated over the loss of my sweet baby. I wish I would have taken him to Epic in St. Pete instead. I do not recommend BluePearl.

Experiencia negativa: After being bombarded with upscale items my 10:15 am appointment was 2 hours until my dog was brought in for an ultrasound. Also after an ultrasound, the doctor sent an intern out to tell me nothing. For $1000 you would think the doctor would consult with me after. Nope. Not going back. And by the way. Our Chloe died 5 days later after our regular vet found a cantaloupe size cancer in her abdomin. see

Experiencia negativa: I have an emotional support dog. The reason I have an ESA is because I panic when she is not around. I asked three times where my dog was, they have had her for six hours already, they said she was on her way out. But my husband and I thought it was because we hadn't paid the bill yet. I had prepaid $2000.00 when I dropped her off for tests. There were other expenses that knew about and was fine with. I had to ask for her three times, then I lost my cool when I asked the front desk girl to go check, she immediately called the manager and he came out and yelled at me for being rude. Ok, I have been without my ESA for six hours, this was the first time we have been separated from each other in 7 months. They need to understand what ESA means. Not everyone has one just so they can have a dog, some of us lose our cool when they aren't around. They seemed more concerned about the bill than anything else.

We never want to cause you additional stress when you're away from you pet, but the leader came up and told you to stop yelling at the front desk team. While we understand that there was confusion on the final bill, but we don't condone that type of behavior to happen to our staff. Experiencia fantástica: Wow talk about great service! These guys are the bomb. My dog had a medical emergency in the middle of the night. I showed up at 4 am and was seen with in minutes. The staff and Dr were super caring. Got my pet taken care of a stable. Will go back without hesitation if the need arises.

Experiencia fantástica: Our first visit to Blue Pearl for my 11 year old Corgi/Boxer with a non-healing corneal ulcer in her right eye. The front staff was very welcoming and attentive. We loved Priscilla's stellar care and easy connection which made us both very comfortable in a stressful situation. We were very impressed with Dr Lowe. She is obviously an expert in her field. Again, stellar care and easy connection which made us feel safe and trusting. Truly a blessing, all!!!!! We are very grateful!

Experiencia fantástica: I had to take my Umbrellas cockatoo in on an emergency because he was having seizures. We received the best care there! The emergency service got him right back and kept me in the loop as to what was happening and then luckily for us, the exotics department had a cancellation so they were able to work him up. Dr. Gronsky and Kourtney were so kind and very thorough! My bird is back home with me and -even though he hates his news medication- he is doing better! We can’t thank them enough!

I submitted an online appointment request but ended up calling to schedule - very straightforward process. The facility is beautiful, clean, and had ample waiting room. Staff were warm and professional. I was actually brought back early. Dr. Fultz was fantastic. He described the work up plan, the why, and then quickly worked up my anxious pup. I’m very grateful for his knowledge and expertise. We had a quick but thorough discussion regarding findings and next steps. I strongly recommend Dr. Fultz and the Blue Pearl team!
Experiencia fantástica: My dog has had 3 types of cancer since 3 and is now 10. She lost a leg to cancer as well. But she has always lived her best life thanks to Blue Pearl and her Specialist Vets at Port City and PVESVC in New England. The surgeon, Dr. Human at Blue Pearl has been top quality. The oncology team along with Dr. Coyle are spectacular, professional and loving. Momo recently needed an Internist and Blue Pearl answered the call. I am impressed by their completeness and knowledge and especially their love for my Momo. You would never guess my dog is 10 and especially not think she has cancer. She does it all on 3 legs and takes no medications. Worth the cost for sure. No regrets!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough good things about Blue Pearl Clearwater! They saved my cat’s life when I brought him in for a urinary blockage. They put in a catheter late on Monday night and kept me fully updated throughout his 48 hour hospitalization. The vets explained everything so well and I never felt like they were rushing me off the phone. Everyone was so nice when I came to visit my boy and never made me feel silly for calling and asking questions once I brought him home. The total price ended up being less than my deposit, so they refunded me over $1,000. It was definitely less than I thought it was going to be for a 48 hour stay. Thanks Blue Pearl for saving my baby!

Experiencia fantástica: Our experience with Blue Pearl has been great so far. We were referred by our vet to see a surgeon for our pup’s ruptured ligament. Everyone has been super nice and Dr. Cassel did an amazing job explaining the procedure. Dr. Human was very friendly and made us very confident that our pup will be in great hands.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t waste your time or money. You call and call and all they say is “bring her in”. You bring her in and they ask “why are you here”. Waste of time and money. Specialists?? - I don’t think so. Doctor was so rude and had zero advise even though I was there a few weeks ago and the condition has not improved. I’ll find another professional specialist who can help us like Epic or Tampa Bay Vet Specialists.

Experiencia negativa: They took my dog for 30 seconds brought him back I've been waiting now 2 hours to see the doctor one women came in said the doctor should be in soon 1 hour ago. I went out spoke the receptionist she said all rooms are full I am literally standing in front of all the rooms and they are all empty and there's only five cars in the The parking lot this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a Blue Pearl here in Clearwater they ought to be ashamed of themselves
Experiencia fantástica: Our 5 month old lab ended up with a fractured femur, our primary vet recommended blue pearl and we are so grateful for the wonderful staff and prompt service. Everyone we interacted with was so kind and knowledgeable. They took our boy back for surgery same day and we were able to bring him home that night. It was a very scary situation but the surgeon helped reassure us and helped calm our nerves by going over everything. Thank you all so much for caring for and patching up our pup.

Experiencia negativa: My beloved kitten died Friday due to their greed and no compassion! let her sit in a cold room for 2 hours and not doing anything for her until they got the full amount! 4000 bucks for overnite.after services removed that were not needed still 2200 wouldn't even take half down to even start treatment! These people are horrible and only care about money! Bring your pet here at your own risk .My cat died cause they wasted precious time over money couldn't even start an iv ! I I will be filing complaint with The state board over our treatment. So if you come to this God awful place bring lots of money or have great health insurance or they won't do squat for your pet!

And thanks to your greed and neglect my kitten died hours later! This place should be shut down! No caring at all for the pets all about greed! Coldest most uncaring staff ive ever dealt with! We came in and my cat was in heart failure and had pleural effusion. they showed me a breakdown of how much it will cost (a low and high estimate) to treat her. they took her in as a critical care intake but did not start any treatment until they were sure I can afford to pay them. the initial breakdown they showed me had a high estimate of almost 7k. I am a nurse and I picked and chose all the treatment that are necessary, the rest are fluff. but they play into your emotions and if you don't understand medical terms, you would let them do everything in the list. when they were able to charge my credit card, they started with treatment. she was with them for almost half the day. I checked on her a few times and each time, they would say he or him. My cat is female. even their discharge paperwork said neutered male domestic short hair. if there's EMTALA for people, there should also be a law for treating animals first and demanding payment second.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my 16 week old puppy in with a high fever and lethargic. They took her right in but then suggested a lot of services that are not needed to treat an infection. When I asked if she would revise the quote she was totally rude. I thanked her, paid for the visit and took my puppy to another emergency vet and I save $2500.!! When we have very sick pets it's just not nice to over price.

Experiencia negativa: This place quoted me $4600 for a 4 day hospitalization due upfront to help my cat with blocked urinary system on a weekend. When I told them I couldn't afford that I asked could they emergency decompress his bladder with catheter and keep him one night till I can transfer him to his regular vet they quoted me $2600 for one night which I also couldn't afford. Then they told me I should just put him down if I cannot afford to treatment and that he probably will not make it over night anyways and refused to help me or work with me. I absolutely refused to put down a 4 yr old healthy cat for a simple catherization. I ended up leaving ama with my cat when they joked at the desk about euthanasia in front of my husband and teenager with no plans on helping us getting him through the night. Luckily he did make it through the night and my vet kept him 2 nights and catheterization him twice with many meds provided for worming, antibiotics, pain, urinary muscle relaxer and something that helps breaks down the struvite crystals that were stopping him up to begin with. They are even asking us to come back to check up on him this holiday called me tonight on Thanksgiving to make sure he is heading the right direction and peeing adequately and that we dont get left the weekend with him still not peeing adequately. Schooling is just time and effort. I am a nurse and have seen that just about anyone can become a medical professional nurse dr or vet it just takes time money and effort. Just because anyone can get a degree doesnt mean they should. My vet has love and compassion for animals and isn't about to punish a animal when their owners are trying their best and coming up short. The vets/management at the blue pearl are rude condescending and have no love for animals just a love of money. Wanted to kill a other wise healthy animal with a relatively simple and common illness. I would never go there if my life depended on it. Terrible establishment.

Experiencia negativa: My cat left with matted fur all over his abdomen from what was utilized during his visit. METASTATIC CANCER was the presumed diagnosis based on the procedure performed and testing and recent history of illness. I left without written discharge instructions after informing staff of my own health issues with focus and concentration. Emailed instructions were not received for about 20 hours. The wrong date was written on his paperwork with missing pertinent medical history along with the treatment we discussed upon discharge. NO CAT or animal that cannot eat or drink normal should be left in a condition that he did not arrive let alone to know that the animal is dying. My loving cat, Lincoln, was given sedation for his procedure/tests. THERE WAS no reason that he should not have been cleaned prior to leaving. I asked for written instructions which they did not give but rather stated would arrive via email in a few hours. Although I have some focus and concentration issues, I WAS NOT INFORMED of everything detailed in the instructions so by the time the arrived about 20 hours after discharge on November 18th. With the date of service Nov 18th and the date of discharge Nov 18th, my cat, Lincoln was brought and handed to me about 20 hours earlier on Monday, Nov 17th, the same date the cytology report was sent to be read which confirmed his cancer. My cat is no longer suffering. While appreciate the kindness everyone showed me while I was at Blue Pearl and alleviating Lincoln's acute breathing difficulty before the discovery of cancer, I will never forget how he was returned. This makes wonder, how behind the closed doors where animal parents don't go, are our animals treated. There was also significant lack of communication which I called and spoke with David about as no pet parent should go what I went through. Hopefully, they can get this corrected. I am unsure of other critical care vet hospitals in the area so I hope they can!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Blue Pearl has been a lifesaver for my German Shepherd puppy twice this year, unfortunately due to injuries while at doggy daycare. First for a dog bite into the bone a few months ago and just this week for too rough of an interaction during “enrichment”. It put my mind at ease to have him monitored overnight with X-rays to rule out any hip dysplasia and Scout’s veterinarian was right on the money as to what he expected once confirmed by a neuro. I wouldn’t trust my pup anywhere else in an emergency situation!

Experiencia fantástica: I came in through emergency because my dog has a severe heart condition and went into a sort of cardiac arrest. The team was very efficient, they brought my dog into the examining room right away. they gave me frequent updates while I waited so I was informed of everything they were doing and they verified with me before moving forward with any costly procedure. They explained everything really well, had great bedside manner and it was all done fairly quickly. Even though my dogs situation is severe, I felt comfort in knowing he was treated properly and received the best treatment possible. If you love your dog like a child, this is the kind of care you want. I highly recommend this hospital and their great staff.

Experiencia fantástica: We were referred to Dr. Fultz for our Labrador Retriever’s heart condition. She was already on medication, but showing signs of decline prompting consultation with a specialist. First, we were thrilled to receive an appointment for the next day. Can’t say enough good things about Dr. Fultz! He performed an echocardiogram and blood pressure test and said he wasn’t worried at all about her heart. He felt her issues were brain-related due to her responses to mobility and visual tests, (he stated possible brain tumor in the visit summary). He referred us to a neurologist for further evaluation. Sadly his suspicions were correct, but we are so grateful he was able to isolate the source of her issues and minimize further suffering. Our pets can’t tell us when or where they’re hurting. Having someone accurately diagnose a problem means the world. Thank you to Dr. Fultz and the entire staff at Blue Pearl for your expertise and compassion not only for our pets, but the entire family.

Experiencia negativa: My experience was not a positive one. I think everyone there is doing their best but may not understand what is the best way to deal with an elderly dog that seems to be in the process of dying and the owners wishes in how that death occurs. After paying thousands of dollars to have my dog treated for autoimmune anemia, diagnostic tests were performed against my wishes (an x ray) showing fluid in the lungs and blood was found in his stool, most likely due to a GI bleed. I was offered to keep him there for more time if I paid thousands more or have him euthanized. I wanted to take him home to have him euthanized there but I felt like I was peer pressured to have him euthanized right then and there. I stated that I felt like I was being backed into a corner several times. They believed my dog might code on the hour drive home and this event would cause further suffering for myself and my dog. We were in the room with him for about a hour before he was euthanized and his breathing did not appear to change. If he had died in the car I would have known it was his time and there was nothing I could have done to prevent his death. I do believe he was in the last few moments of his life and that euthanasia may have been the most humane thing to do. I just wanted to take him home first and it felt like this wasn’t an option.

Experiencia fantástica: We were recommended to transfer our dog, Renee, from VEG to here. She is a diabetic dog and had entered DKA. Blue Pearl worked immediately to start treatment. They worked with us however they could financially to give Renee the best chances. We knew what she needed was expensive and we were doing our best. We brought her home and she has been doing really well now. She is eating again, happier, she is asking to go on walks constantly. If it wasn’t for Blue Pearl taking action immediately, I don’t know what would have happened. Everyone was extremely kind and honest about what was going on. I can’t say thank you enough. My baby fought through the worst with their help. They would also call mornings and evenings to give updates and we were allowed to visit which was all really nice.
Experiencia negativa: DO NOT go here if you love your pet. We took our GSD there due to black stool and vomiting and they thought it was probably just an ulcer but suggested blood work and an ultrasound to be sure. They provided an estimate for such and we agreed to move forward and were told we had to pay prior to the procedure. No issue with that. However, when they discovered several potentially cancerous masses and abnormal lymph nodes, were we provided the option to have them perform ultrasound-guided needle biopsies while our baby was still under anesthesia? NO! When we asked why, we were told that it was because a heavier anesthesia would be needed, which we verified later by professionals in the industry that was just not true. The truth was that because they had not anticipated needing to biopsy masses and had therefore not charged us for it, they weren’t going to give us the option to have it done and pay afterwards. What this tells us, and what it should tell anyone is that the almighty dollar is more important than patient care. Is this the kind of place you want to bring your fur baby? Now we have to put our GSD through the trauma of once again going to the vet (NOT them), getting sedated again, and double paying for many things that we had already paid for…though undoubtedly, the worst part of it is putting our baby through that trauma again needlessly. TERRIBLE experience. Don’t put you or your fur baby through this.

Experiencia fantástica: My standard poodle went into BLOAT You must respond to this immediately. We DID.And as it was 8 pm we went straight to Blue Pearl. They knew that his stomach needed to be put back in place as it twists with bloat They called in surgeon Dr. Jones. She did a brilliant job , even the incision was beautiful. She and her wonderful, caring team saved my boy. My husband passed in September and I truly needed my pup as he is my support system. I am very grateful that Blue Pearl is here for us with extreme knowledge and care. Thank you.

Experiencia positiva: I know I can rely on Blue Pearl when my pets have serious conditions that no one else can handle. There is one flaw in their service however. It's their front desk staff. I spoke to three different people, none of whom were really listening, and finally when I spoke to the 4th, his name is Trent, he was listening and helped me with what I needed.
Experiencia fantástica: Had an appointment for our almost 8 year Cavalier, Ginger - was worried about a heart murmur that our normal vet found. It was an excellent and easy experience, the location is super nice, clean , everyone is really friendly, met with Dr Fultz first, he was great, caring and explained what was going to take place as far as the tests. Ginger went back with Madison and Lisa and it was so fast and easy . We got results fast , everything is ok thank God and BluePearl, Dr Fultz and everyone there made this a much easier, less stressful experience than I was expecting thanks all! Recommend highly

Experiencia negativa: FEAR MONEGERERS, SPECIFICALLY DR LAURA! Go to VEG OR BEACON! ANYWHERE BUT HERE! THIS VET ER IS AWFUL. My dog Finnegan is Idiopathic epileptic and this is KNOWN by Blue Pearl. He had pancreatis 3 times and is low fat diet. I KNOW MY DOG, I'VE HAD HIM SINCE NIGHT HE WAS BORN 13 YRS 10 MONTHS AND 1 DAY AGO! I took him in because for ONE he is a Picky eater on top of this. That said Finnegan didn't eat yesterday and threw up seizure medications at 430pm. That was my MAIN reason for taking him there to ensure he had his seizure medications in him and his anti nausea Cerenia. Dr Laura didnt seem to care about any of that just wanted to go straight to tons of fear mongering and unnecessary testing when he all he needed to do was IV fluid Cerenia injection SNAP Test (pancreatis) and given his seizure meds. He ignored me. I left and called VEG ER and their Dr agreed his seizure medications are first and foremost and a Simple snap would have confirmed what I already suspected. Finnegan had a Grand Mal seizure at 540am 9/12 due to Dr Laura being negligent on Finnegans medications as thats reason for visit in first place. I took him to vet and Snap test done and he had pancreatis as I suspected to begin with. Dr Laura could of caused Finn to be Status ellipiticus because of his not HEARING ME THE OWNER OF MY DOG. I KNOW MY PUP DR LAURA HOW DARE YOU! Plus your personality is horrible to say the least. I want my money back Blue Pearl and you can pay for Finns vet visit today. His vet today agreed along with myself and the ER Dr at VEG ER on how you handled Finns care! You should be ashamed putting corporate greed and money before hearing THE OWNER AND PATIENT AND THEIR CARE! I BEG PET PARENTS DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE! Oh and Dr Laura it was NOT you who gave Finn baby food and Royal Canin gastrointestinal low fat to get him to eat Saturday May 24th 2025 when he was over his other food (nothing wrong with him) BUT you went ahead took credit for THAT and patted yourself on the back when it was actually Dr Casey Bragington who I hope goes to a different ER bc he is way better than BLUE PEARL! *Update on Finnegan his primary vet Dr Howell at Midway Animal Hospital is back and saw Finnegan this morning and he is doing well! His bloodwork came back GREAT and his pancreatis is clearing. Dr Howell and his staff were at a Vet conference training Thursday and Friday because they actually care and keep up on modern things and knowledge instead of corporate fear mongering tactics as Blue Pearl. I followed what Dr Howell has done in past for Finnegan protocol wise and he is doing great. Doc Howell said I did an amazing job with Finn while he was gone and keep doing what I've been doing. Glad our real Dr is back. We're a team in Finns care and I'm not a FOOL, I'm proactive with Finn! Again being proactive Finn went to Beacon ER Saturday 9/13 and Sunday 9/14 St Petersburg for vital check and Sub Cue fluids just to ensure we stayed ahead of the Pancreatis. THEY DONT FEAR MONGER THERE AND DR. SYNDNEY SCHARFF AND ENTIRE TEAM WERE AMAZING WITH FINNEGAN! They didnt treat us like dollar signs! Again you should be ashamed of yourself Mr. Laura! I won't address you as a Dr again. I'm still waiting on my money back Mars Candy Corporate Owners of Blue Pearl ERs and expect it to be refunded to my account ASAP! You haven't returned a call either on your employee Mr Laura's fear mongering money tactics.

The front desk is kind, smooth to check in for our emergency, the nurses are knowledgeable and the doctor was diligent and gave me options for my ball python's emergency. Experiencia fantástica: Fast and friendly staff. Easy to set an appointment up online or via phone. Brought our cat Noodle in to see an Ophthalmologist and Dr. Baldwin explained in detail her findings on the issue as well as what steps to take in the future making it easy to understand the signs to watch out for and ways to help prevent it. Overall a good experience and the office seems to work very efficiently. I will be bringing my pets back here for any specialist work that their primary veterinarian cannot assist with in the future.

All they were worried about was money not Lasker. We ended up at Blue Pearl and they took care of Lasker. Experiencia positiva: I think it goes without saying that any visit to Blue Pearl is going to be expensive. Its just a fact. And it just is what it is. I'm thankful though that the quote we were given was significantly higher than what the actual cost of my dog's care and diagnosis was. They were able to do exactly what I needed: an echo on my dog's heart. Unfortunately, for both he and I, that meant he has s 3rd degree AV block to which the only real treatment is a pacemaker which is so far out of my budget. The only decision I have is to put him down or risk coming home to him all ready gone. As far as the care and diagnosis, I have no complaints. They did exactly what I requested. The results aren't their fault, it's just the truth. My biggest feedback is the lack of transparency speaking with the ER doc when he gave me the diagnosis and treatment. His body language said more than his "I don't knows" and my Google searches of study after study of dogs with mine's condition could say. But, I can understand how being a straight shot as a Vet can not always be the best case scenario for the people who've brought in their pets. I think my biggest criticism is the lack of specialty doctors on the weekends. Surely, you can stagger a schedule so that atleast one is available on Saturday or Sunday. Animals don't wait for availability to have emergencies. That all being said, they did what I asked, it cost twice as much as it would've if my family vet's monthly cardiologist could've seen him (but I knew that going in), and provided me with most of the answers I was seeking. In the future, if I had another emergency situation with a pet, they'd be on the list, but, because of my own socioeconomic status and having to wait through the weekend, probably not first. Again this doesn't take away from the fact that they did everything they could to diagnose my pet.
