Experiencia fantástica: My girl Ally woke up with an abcess anal gland on Saturday morning. I saw how much pain she was in and called VEG. They took us in immediately. The staff was warm and welcoming. The doctor and her staff took very good care of Ally and we were with her the entire time which made her feel less anxious. I recommend VEG for any emergency you might have with your furry family member. They were excellent.

I was extremely impressed with their bedside manner and truly listening to my concerns. The staff met us at the door and triaged my pup. VEG ER staff take pride in their work and it definitely shows! ❤️ Walter gives 4 out of 4 paws!

They had different sections of waiting areas that had couches and blankets which helped create a comfortable atmosphere for a scared pup. I felt like the staff was all knowledgeable, skilled, and trustworthy- something I can’t say about all vets/medical practices. Experiencia fantástica: Such a caring, supportive team! My daughter is the owner of Bella, I am her 2nd owner, her 'Grandmom'. Bella was bit by a rattlesnake while walking on the actual beach at Honeymoon. Paige acted immediately and did the long walk back to the car. Got a Pic of the snake for i.d. Heading to Veg ER and they intervened immediately from the parking lot and took over, helping both my daughter and Bella. They even put her up in a room to sleep with Bella. Best experience ever from start to finish. The rattlesnake bite required 2 vials of anti-venom and she recovered thanks to the fast team action of Veg ER

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing Vet and team!! My White English Golden Bella and I were out on Honeymoon Beach and she was struck and bit by a rattlesnake. I was overwhelmed with fear and a total wreck when we arrived. The wonderful team met me at my car, helped every step of the way, put their arms around me to comfort me and were so gentle with Bella and loving. They treated her like one of their own. I’ve never been to a Vet like this in my life and they will always hold a place in my heart. They even set my dog and I up in a private room so I could sleep next to her while she was receiving her anti-venom treatment and fluids. They gave us blankets, bottled water, pillows and coffee in the morning. What a beautiful team and crew… unforgettable. Bella is doing just fine and home with me now to recoup with all her stuffies and a bone. THANK YOU to the entire crew!!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is THE BEST vet I have EVER been to. We came in for our cat having a urinary blockage and they worked with us to get him the help he needed. I’ve never had such a positive experience at a vet. They let me watch as they cleared his blockage and the vet tech explained everything they were doing and giving him so I didn’t have to panic or worry. They literally treated him as if he was their own. The staff were all super friendly, and treated us with respect (unfortunately that can be rare now a days) as someone who has had many horror stories going to different vet clinics - I could cry. Thank you to everyone who helped save Riku! And thank you for giving BOTH of us a good experience at the vet. This is the ONLY place I want to take him and any of our future animals to in the future. Cannot recommend enough.

Experiencia fantástica: ​I’d like to give a huge thank you to Dr. De La Rosa, Rachel, the ICU nurse, and the entire nursing team who cared for my big puppy Django. He was in critical condition when we arrived and the staff was incredible at acting fast and literally saving his life. Because of them, Django is home now and finally on the road to recovery. We are so grateful!

The VEG staff and facility has made everything less terrible. The facility is great and the staff is even better. They have treated me and my pup so well. They have been kind,understanding and caring through this terrible journey. I couldn’t be more grateful for them.

Experiencia fantástica: This team was amazing, the vet tech who checked us in and helped us get set up and updated theough the whole process was so kind. She had an oppossum pin on her bag and nature themed tattoo sleeves. She went above and beyond to help us and our kitty feel comfortable during this distressing visit. We did have a long wait time, which isn’t the staff’s fault but I believe having more staff on hand would be beneficial. I really hope they’re being compensated well because it was an absolutely amazing team to work with! My cat had uveitis and was treated with the most care ever. They also do offer payment plans, and I wouldn’t have been able to afford it elsewise. I will definitely be back next time I need an emergency vet visit!

Experiencia fantástica: I want to take the opportunity to thank Dr. Fleur Jones and the attentive staff at VEG Clearwater for taking wonderful care of my dog Sammy. This review actually consists of two separate visits to VEG. Sammy was suffering from a myriad of canine old age problems and became very ill in the middle of the night last week. I brought Sammy in and he was seen immediately by the Dr. and staff. Diagnostics were done and a care plan was devised. I felt comfortable during the visit and knew Sammy was in excellent hands. I was able to take Sammy home and enjoy the next few days. Unfortunately Sammy took a turn for the worse early Sunday morning and I had to return with him to VEG. Dr. Jones and staff were waiting and after a short discussion we decided to put Sammy down. The process was done with professionalism and compassion. I felt we were lucky to have Sammy pass peacefully in the company of very nice people at VEG. I was emotional during the process, and I appreciate the support that was given to me by everyone at VEG. I thank them for helping us getting through this difficult time of losing a pet. Please do not hesitate to contact VEG in Clearwater for any and all of your pet's needs. We are very lucky to have them in our community.

Experiencia fantástica: The staff on duty last evening were terrific. I was very impressed with their care not only Cinder but me. Dr Sharp, Dr Alex. Evie AND Casey got on the floor and handled Her with patience and gentleness. Everything explained Love the open concept, but I always had the feeling of privacy. Hope I never HAVE to go there again but happy to know VEG is there.

The facility was adapted to the needs of pet parents to remain with the pet and be involved with his or her care. The staff explained everything and the care was very thorough. I remained with my pet through out his visit. The next day he was back to normal. Dr. Sharp and Andre were both exceptional.

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great experience here. I really like that you stay with your pet the entire time. It made it really comfortable for all of us. We were greeted at the door by a friendly triage person and the vet, Dr. Berry, said hello within like the first 3 minutes we were there. They explained everything thoroughly and we were able to make decisions on treatments along the way, with no pressure. We got a correct diagnosis, medication and suggestions on handling future care that were great. Our girl is doing much better. We will definitely use this place in the future. Everyone was very helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: My cats tail was bitten by a dog and an inch of his tail came off. I took him to VEG and immediately upon entering I was greeted and taken to a room and my cat received immediate attention and care. They ultimately had to amputate a few more inches of his tail unfortunately but the care and attention given to my cat was amazing. Dr. Sharp and another doctor who's name I can't remember and their assistant Steve O took were truly wonderful. I pray for each and every one of you that work there. God bless you all.

Experiencia fantástica: Great staff. This was my 1st visit to the clinic and I will definitely go back if I ever need get care. My cat was showing symptoms of a UTI or possible blockage and they attended to him right away. The doctor and the the assistant handled my cat with the upmost care and made him feel as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend their services if urgent care is ever needed.

Experiencia fantástica: Every single staff person here is a 10. Our experience is that our fur baby was taken care of, and the fast attention he got gave us comfort that he was in good hands. They looked at all the angles for his illness and got the diagnosis and treatment plan needed. They went out of their way to also make sure we were offered coffee, etc so we would be comfortable. We hated having to take our baby in for an issue, but now we know where to go. Can’t say thank you enough to everyone here, especially Dr. Solkar. Dunkin Donuts appreciates feeling better now.

Experiencia positiva: I'm really not sure how many stars to give veg. And that is only because we have taken our one cat there several times before and everything was well. The last time we took him, he was in respiratory distress. He had an existing lung condition and we wanted him evaluated to ensure that the decision that we were going to make that night was the right decision. Our regular vet was very much aware of our cat's lung disease and knew that it was just a matter of time before we would have to make this decision and so did we for that matter. So late Friday night we realized that he was in distress and we decided to take him for the evaluation. We spoke with the vet who is very nice very kind. After her evaluation and discussing any potential outcomes of him coming home with us, we made the decision that we had to let him go so he wouldn't suffer any longer. The staff was compassionate and very sympathetic to what we were going through. Gave us all of the options of what to do for him - the cremation etc. We made our choices as to what we wanted for him and of course was charged. We were told that the crematorium would be contacting us to go over everything and ensure we were happy with what we picked for our beloved cat. Now I'm pretty sure that the crematorium probably wasn't open over the weekend so on Monday I asked my spouse several times if they had sent an email or had called. No emails, no calls. I pushed my spouse to contact the crematorium. We found out that they indeed had picked up an orange cat but they weren't sure if he belong to us as the orange cat that they had did not have either one of our names attached to him. My spouse provided specific information regarding our orange cat. One being that he was a tripod - he was missing his right back leg. The crematorium rep was very nice and said he would go back and check and he would also call veg to ensure that all of the deceased animals had been picked up and to ensure that our cat was not missing. Several calls back and forth with no resolution. I then got on the phone and told the crematorium rep that my spouse would be coming to view the body of the cat that they had to ensure that it was our beloved boy. The crematorium rep seem to be a little confused but I persisted and I stated that my spouse was coming regardless and he could call veg to talk to them all he wanted but my spouse was on the way. Well, they did have our boy and come to find out veg had put someone else's name on our boy. I understand that things happen as I am actually in the health care field myself but with humans, but this was our beloved cat. The folks at veg stated that the night nurse did admit that she mistakenly did that which is fine. And they did state that if there were any extras that we wanted that they would pay for as an apology. And while that's fine and very much appreciated because we got some items that we weren't going to get before such as a clay paw print etc not one person from veg ER has reached out to us to offer an apology. I understand if it's not protocol for the nurse to contact us to offer the apology, but the medical director or whoever runs that damn place should have been contacting us and offering us an apology. And I think that is a damn shame. Had we not persisted, who knows who would have gotten our boy. We would have never gotten him returned to us that's for sure. So there's a lesson in there, people. Do not trust everyone or anyone. Especially when it comes to your beloved pet. If you have to make the decision that we made that night, be sure to get the name address and phone number of where your beloved pet's body would be going to. And follow up! Again, I understand that mistakes happen but this is a pretty big damn mistake in my opinion.

Experiencia fantástica: Last night at 5:30,in a total panic,I called VEG.I was caught off guard that an actual person answered. That person was Dr.Daubert.Through my sobbing ,embarrassment and sadness, Dr.Daubert listened to every word. With Daleys condition, my financial hardship and lack of transportation he insisted bring Daley in ASAP. I called a person whom said they'd pick me up but over 4 hrs later never showed. Now 10:30 5 hrs later I call VEG again.Answered by Bella,again explain, she says she knows, understands and connects me with Dr.Jones now on duty. Dr.Jones listens,understands and provides a ride for Daley. I HATED the answer. I now had the decision that I've never wanted to make.When I arrived,I greeted at the door and taken immediately to the room.EVERYONE,DR.DAUBERT, DR.JONES, VIVIAN, HONDREY BELLA ,treated Daley as their family also. It was genuine. I never said goodbye, I told Daley we were going home gonna go for a walk and play for treats.I nuzzled my nose into his fur,holding him tightly and took a long deep smell of my sweet boy as he fell asleep. This morning there is no excited little guy,staring at me with nothing but love in his eyes.There is no baited breath on my skin with a tail smacking back and forth like out of control windshield wipers. Only a couple quiet bowls. A bed in the corner. Toys frozen in their spots. I'm sincerely sorry this was so long.Its not right to be called ER FOR PETS.Its ER FOR FAMILY. Also stars for reviews is such a disservice. I'd prefer 5 ❤️

They took the time to explain his condition and all available options, which meant so much during such a stressful time. I never felt rushed or ignored. The pricing also exceeded my expectations in the best way. I’m incredibly thankful for this team and would trust them again without hesitation.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a wonderful experience here, besides the reason we went. The staff were very professional and welcoming. They took good care of us pre and post-surgery, and my dog absolutely them loved. Doctor Sharp did amazing throughout the surgery, especially having to pivot after finding out was actually building up in Brooks' stomach. Mechelle, Stephanie, Violet, and Dr. Soyka--I am definitely missing a couple of names--were amazing through our entire time there. Great job, great people, I recommend trusting them!

Experiencia fantástica: I saw a female doctor first and I don’t know if it was Davidson or Davison, so I apologize. Then we saw Dr Jones and Dr de la Rosa. Dr Jones is who I spoke to the most throughout the night. Everyone was so kind on the phone. When I visited, I got to stay with her as long as I wanted. The nurse was very responsive. I know it wasn’t, but it felt like the ratio was 1:1 and that was a really good feeling. We love our girl dearly and such a horrible accident couldn’t have happened to a nicer dog. I don’t think she would have survived without the wonderful team there. See above. But everyone was lovely. Especially when we first got there and she was in such a tentative state. They made sure she was responding to treatment in a timely way, that her vitals were good, and very importantly that her pain was under control. It’s making me emotional just writing this. The team really worked very well together and they were so gentle with her. It was so apparent everyone is doing what they really care about and it really makes a difference. We were so so scared coming in - I thought Daisy was going to die. But the smooth coordinated and timely effort by the team really made a difference. And calling in and not feeling like a burden and getting to speak to the doctor was shocking - you don’t get that in human hospitals. So thank you so really the whole team. I wish I could thank individual people - I was so tired and had such a headache, I can’t remember anyone’s name correctly I don’t think. Alphonse (probably spelling this wrong) and Dr Davidson/Davison (whoever was on Friday night around 7pm and had a surgery), and Dr Jones who followed. Our dayshift nurse too was slammed but was always there when I needed her. I don’t remember her name and I’m so sorry. Sharing photos of time of admission and today, not even 48 hours later.

Experiencia fantástica: The most AMAZING group of angel's EVER! I love Dr. Soyka to death, but unfortunately she was not on shift tonight when my 5yr old Shepherd "Chewy" displayed signs of possible bloat. Dr. Jones and the overnight staff made my husband and I comfortable from the very moment we stepped foot in the building with our sweet fur baby. They were able to determine he actually instead had a foreign body and ended up doing emergency surgery to remove the blockage and also perform a gastropexy while they had him open to prevent him from bloating in the future. VEG is an open concept hospital which allows owners to stay with their pets and be involved every step of the way. They even have special accommodations for owners to be able to spend the night with their fur babies and stay by their side. I've used VEG many times in the past and I will continuously use them over and over and over again. They are quite literally the BEST emergency hospital EVER. So thankful for everything they do. Because of them, my dog is alive and will recover just fine! 10000% percent recommend!!!!!!

I am glad they worked with me to get her the care I could afford today with limited options. I feel like they gave my baby a fighting chance to get through her current condition until I can afford the treatment she needs. Yes it's a Emergency Vet Er. They know what their doing communicate with you the entire time. They allow you to stay with your pet. Financially, they worked with me to set a plan in action. I will be forever grateful, to watch them work together and save my boys life. Thank you Dr Sweetman and all the nurses. Your the best. 2nd visit: My primary vet would not see Spot to follow up. Back to VEG ER. I was a little nervous because Dr Sweetman was off. I called and talked to Dr. Sharp he was awesome. I brought Spot in again the team was awesome no wait the love and compassion for Spot was over whelming. Dr. Sharp was amazing as the shifts changed the nurses from the night before came rushing over as soon as they seen spots name. I can't pick one person. I can pick a team of loving, caring, most knowledgeable, and professional team. My heart is so grateful for you all. If you had a primary side, Spot would be your first patient. Thank you again

Experiencia fantástica: This was my first time at VEG and the entire experience was wonderful. From the initial phone call in letting them know what was going on with Mellon (senior dog with DM showing signs of UTI with blood in urine) and that we were on our way, the kind and warm welcome upon arrival by everyone and helping us feel more comfortable and relaxed, the offer for water or coffee multiple times during our visit, being able to stay with Mellon during the entire visit and exam, to the indepth and caring consultation with the vet and techs, they even assisted us back out to my car when we were done since I had to carry Mellon and was unable to carry my coffee cup and the togo bag with meds and extra pee pads they kindly sent us home with. The techs and vet (Dr. Sharp) truly listened and captured everything that was currently going on with Mellon including her pre-existing conditions as well - taking all into consideration. Every person that assisted in our visit was so kind, thoughtful, sensitive to our situation, gentle while handling Mellon ensuring to properly support her when lifting and moving her, and they gave so much love and care for her too. Dr. Sharp took his time thoroughly explaining the UA, blood test, and ultrasound results covering all the possibilities of what is and could potentially be the cause for our visit, pausing throughout the conversation to ask if I had any questions about what he was explaining and if I understood. He was very kind and compassionate to Mellon's current diagnosis and her pre-existing condition of Degenerate Myelopathy, which Dr. Sharp took extra time at the end to ask me how I was doing from a wellbeing standpoint knowing how physically and emotionally demanding caring for a pet with Degenerative Myelopathy is. He reassured me that I was doing a great job and doing everything possible for her to ensure her current quality of life with DM is the best and safest anyone could do and provide for their pup. I am sincerely thankful for everyone at VEG and for the compassion and love they all they provided us while helping my sweet Mellon girl get back on the path to feeling better! Thank you!!

Unfortunately, we had an opportunity to need an ER vet this past weekend, and my husband and I were blown away by the genuine care, knowledge, friendliness, and just overall absolutely wonderful care that our Princess Fiona received! The staff are exceptional! The open concept is inviting, and encourages open dialogue, and partnership with the team and pet owner.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing staff and excellent veterinary service! You can tell the staff truly cares about patient care and it appears to be a good work environment and team. They take time to explain situations and options without judgement or pressure. Nurse and Doctor were available at any time and would come check on my pet frequently. Treatment areas and rooms are comfortable and clean. Open concept so you are never away from your loved one. It is never fun to have an emergency with your pet but the experience with VEG makes it as easy as possible.

Experiencia fantástica: Today may have been a hard day for myself as I sadly had to make the hard choice of putting my dog to rest but the team at VEG ER made sure to help me though that process as much as possible. They were quick thoughtful and thorough when it came to my dogs care. They made sure to explain everything to make sure I fully understood the prognosis. And while I had to make the difficult choice to say good bye to my little Sadi today the team make sure that her final moments were in the best care.

Experiencia fantástica: I could never thank this vet hospital enough. I owe them my life oh my god. My cat was being really weird. Not eating or drinking, really weak and both like freezing cold and hot at the same time. Him at home, he looked like he was almost dead. I was so scared. It took me like 4 hours looking through vets on Google. Most had awful reviews about how they accidentally killed alot of pets either by overdosing them with medications or neglect, the ones that didnt have awful reviews were booked out. I was so scared. But one of the vets suggested this place for immediate care. I was very hesitant. When I tell you this little man is my entire life, I mean it. I get some people see pets as only that but I consider him my son. And if I went to a vet and they killed him, I dont think I would ever be able to forgive myself for putting him in poor hands. They were so kind. Like immensely. I mean like me snot bubble crying scared they would accidentally kill my cat and they didnt seem annoyed or short or anything, only understanding and kind. They worked with me on payment plans because i couldnt pay the bill in full. I saw a few reviews talking about money and charges and how they only care for money, and I mean it every test they suggested would have answered every concern I had. Xrays, bloodwork, urinalysis. They made it clear if there was something I didnt want they wouldn't do. They were able to narrow the diagnosis and give him fluids and antibiotics and tell me some other things about his well being I didnt even know about. There was only one vet on site at that moment and he STILL was thorough and kind. Today, for the first time in a bit, my little man ate. He is moving around. And obviously he's not 100% but I can never thank them enough for making sure he is okay. Thank you. Jesus christ thank you so much

Experiencia fantástica: My English Bulldog, Dexter, was not feeling well or eating for 2 days. Took him to VEG ER, and was treated with the best possible care. This ER truly cares for your pet, and goes above and beyond to help your pet, and be compassionate. Dr. Davidson and her night shift crew were absolutely amazing. She was transparent, and took her time to break everything down and explain everything to us. She made us and Dexter feel extremely comfortably. Shout out to Courtney, Bella, and anyone else I missed for their amazing attitudes and friendliness. The ER can be scary for your pet, but they ease the stress and anxiety from the situation. Very overall positive experience. Dex is recovering well.

Experiencia fantástica: This is the only vet I will ever go to again, they took my big dog in during Milton with only half power they stayed open and took care of him so well. I came in last night after my chihuahua got into something and started acting weird, they were the nicest people to be with animals. I’ve been a dog owner that’s been to at least twenty vets over the states/years and I’ve never ever ever encountered anyone like these people. They gave him a blanket, they let me stay with him the entire time. They were fast but no rushing, and SO RAW COMPASSIONATE! A horrible night could have been so rough but it was so easy to manage with this team. The vet & Jess and the entire staff in the building on 1/2/26 was incredible. Thank you so much everyone ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I can't speak highly enough of VEG! Sadly, I had to bring my foster dog into the ER as, we learned, he had a stroke. Sadly, it was the end for my little Tank. Rather than trying to talk us into a lot of treatment that would have ended up with the same result, the staff were honest and very truthful which helped us make the hard decision to let him go. VEG made a very sad and unhappy situation as kind and loving as possible. We all hope to never need the ER for our pets but if you do, look no further. I cannot thank them enough. Rest in Peace Tank - you left this world surrounded by kindness and love.

Experiencia fantástica: Hi VEG Clearwater, with the amount of times I have seen you guys with my kitty Merlin in the past two weeks I feel like I have met 90% of the staff, and they are all so wonderful. Although my Merlin ultimately did not make it, I just want to thank you guys for your support and care for him and his complicated situation. I also want to thank you for your support and care of me, as I pretty much had 1001 questions about treatments and prognosis and next steps and whats going on every time I saw you or called you and was completely in tears, all of the vets I spoke to (thank you Dr Jones, Dr Sharp, Dr Sweetman, Dr De La Rosa, Dr Swayco(?), and all the rest) were extremely compassionate and understanding and took time to be with me and make sure I could ask all my questions, and I know your time is so valuable and I can’t thank you enough for putting me at ease. All of the techs that were there to help take care of Merlin were incredibly compassionate and sympathetic and treated Merlin like their own (horse girl (sorry i forgot your name :( ), taylor, tricia, alex, andre, and the rest). I am so devastated that he couldn’t pull through, but they provided so me with so much compassion and support in making the hardest decision of my life. They also provide easy options for end of life arrangements. I truly can’t recommend going to this place enough, they made one of my hardest times just a little easier and that is huge. Thank you for your work and all that you do.

The staff were extremely helpful, kind, patient, and helped in any way they could. The wait time was very quick, we were offered snacks and the medicine was explained very well. Would definitely go there again!

Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday was a terrible day. We unexpectedly lost our dog due to reasons beyond anyone’s control. We picked this practice because of the reviews and were not disappointed. We were greeted and assisted immediately by a tech and a vet stopped by to let us know either she or another vet would be back momentarily. The inside has an open concept and we were able to watch what was happening with our dog at all times. We think it was comforting for our dog to be able to still see us at all times and not be taken “in the back” with strangers. Everyone there was kind and compassionate. Though they were unable to save our dog, we feel that they did everything humanly possible. We’re hoping not to need another emergency vet for a long time, but if we do, we will go back. Thank you to Dr. Sharp and the rest of the team.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to VEG now twice overnight for my babies and both times it is always stellar care. Quick to respond and always knowledgeable staff. I apologize for not getting the technicians name but I’ve seen her now twice with both my babies who have been there and she’s always been so friendly and sweet. Thankful to all the veterinarians for especially being so knowledgeable and helping me feel comfortable in a time where I’m the most stressed. Highly recommend them for any emergency care.

Experiencia fantástica: Brought my 11 year old chihuahua in there last night after refusing to eat or drink anything for 24 hours, couldn’t even get her to eat peanut butter which is her favorite treat. I was immediately greeted with them opening the door for us and went straight for triage. Was given blankets, offered water, coffee, or a snack while waiting. The team was extremely attentive and thorough in explaining everything they intended to do to help my little one feel better. With an open floor plan it was comforting to know wherever my little one went I was able to be with her the entire time. X-Rays and bloodwork were done on sight and results were prompt and returned within the hour. Although it was not needed for my visit I did see they offered rooms with a small bed for those that needed to stay over night. Upon discharge, the team gave her some pets to say goodbye and opened the door for us on the way out. The service I received here was above and beyond my expectations, would absolutely recommend to anyone I know in need. Thank you VEG ER!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had to take my Cat, Rafa, to the ER twice for Asthma. We were greeted at the door with kindness, compassion, and with swift treatment. The treating area is open, and you never have to leave your pet’s side. Everyone there genuinely seems to love and care about animals. It is by far the best vet experience I’ve ever had, and the prices are VERY reasonable. I am so thankful to have found this ER. 10/10 recommend if you ever need emergency assistance

I was grateful because that meant he was able to calm down and me being able to stay with him I know really helped.

Our beloved childhood cat suddenly became very ill, and we rushed her to VEG. They went above and beyond: providing tissues and drinks, setting us up in a private room so we could stay by her side and keep her company, and treating us with such kindness. When her condition started declining, they called me immediately, and thanks to their promptness, we were able to arrive in time to be with her in her final moments. We are heartbroken that we lost her, but I’m eternally grateful that the VEG team did everything possible and allowed us to say goodbye peacefully together. I love VEG’s unique open-concept design—it made all the difference in feeling involved and supported. After she passed, they thoughtfully provided multiple paw prints, a beautiful ornament, and even her whiskers (as we requested). In a time of profound grief, their empathy and professionalism meant the world to us. If you’re facing an emergency with your pet, especially end-of-life care, I highly recommend VEG ER. Experiencia fantástica: My experience started with a phone call and a question about my newly acquired kitten who was experiencing minor cold symptoms. I was put through to a Veterinarian right away who listened to my concerns and offered some advice. Thankfully my kitten recovered, however, one of my older cats was exposed and needed treatment. I brought Vida, my cat, to the VEG ER and was immediately greeted at the door and Vida was tended to right away. All the staff were very pleasant and positive while maintaining an environment of caring and compassion. The entire vibe of the place is calming, but still bright and friendly. On top of that, I found the total overall cost for treatment to be fair and not overblown, they heard me when I mentioned my financial concerns and subsequently provided me a tailored treatment plan and payment options to ensure Vida got the care she needed. Thank you, Vida is doing great! Highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: After being woken up to our 6 month old puppy choking and unable to get something out of her throat, I contacted VEG Clearwater and they told me to immediately bring her in and they would be ready. When we arrive they instantly took our pup from us and started working her up to see what was wrong. Luckily she was feeling better after a few minutes of being there. Dr. Dutton was absolutely amazing. She was so informative and kind and genuinely cared about our little girl. Her vet assistant was amazing as well (I don’t recall his name, I’m sorry!) We have already recommended VEG to sooo many of our friends and family. God forbid we have another emergency but if we do, we know where to go! Mahi also says thank you! ❤️

The office is unique, well-equipped, and very clean, and the entire staff is truly top notch. Experiencia fantástica: Having a few cats of my own and fostering cats, we go to VEG quite a lot. Everyone is always amazing and so helpful. I love that you can stay with your pet during treatments. After having a bad experience at a different ER, going here makes me feel so much more comfortable knowing that I can see what is going on. Despite being an ER, me and my pets are usually out within 1-1.5 hours which is amazing! There are other closer (and a little cheaper) ERs near me but I will always drive the extra mile and pay more because I know the care my pets are getting is gold standard. Thank you VEG Clearwater!

Staying with my furbabie during testing, treatment and the staff asking if I needed anything throughout the exam and making sure we were both equally comfortable. Experiencia fantástica: We brought our dog Charlotte to VEG last Sunday after finding her unable to stand and extremely wobbly that morning. Since our regular vet was closed for the weekend, we were so relieved to have VEG available. From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding. We were greeted at the door and immediately taken to one of their four triage tables in the center area. The staff asked thorough questions during check-in, and Dr. Davidson came to see us in less than 10 minutes. Dr. Davidson recommended that Charlotte be admitted to the ICU for IV fluids and further testing. They gave us the option to stay with her or let them care for her with regular updates—we chose the latter, and they were excellent about communication, sending messages and calling almost every hour to keep us informed. Charlotte responded quickly to the IV fluids and improved rapidly. They let us know when she was ready to come home, and to our pleasant surprise, they proactively refunded us the difference between the higher initial quote and the lower actual cost since she needed less time and treatment than anticipated. Dr. Davidson and her entire team were compassionate, efficient, and transparent throughout the process. We’re so grateful for the care Charlotte received and would highly recommend VEG to anyone facing a pet emergency.

Everyone was extremely welcoming, saw my cat very quickly, and made me feel validated about my concerns, even though he was starting to use his back legs again. Veterinarian saw him, did a thorough exam, answered all my questions, and was offered multiple treatment plans. I chose what I was comfortable with, my cat is doing much better, and they gave me some recommendations for care going forward. I would definitely recommend them.

I was frantic as I had to put down my other cat the month before because she also had a UTI that wasn't treated well by another vet and developed a severe kidney infection, going down hill fast. Experiencia fantástica: My review is based on a telephone call and not an in-person visit. My cat started weeing outside his box and has been acting out of sorts for days. I couldn't get an appt with my vet for a couple of days, but in the meantime, I had obtained a urine sample from the cat. My vet doesn't have in-house testing so I called this office to see if I would be able to bring his sample in to get it tested quickly so that if it showed blood or crystals, I could get treatment started. After about a 30 second wait from reception, I was transferred directly to a doctor who explained that they are unable to do testing without seeing the cat (understandable). I explained the situation and symptoms to the doctor. She agreed with my thoughts- that this was not necessarily an emergency as he was still passing appropriate amount of urine and showed no other signs (licking self, frequent box visits, etc). She encouraged me to have him checked at his vet and explained the signs I should look out for that would likely require an urgent care visit. The reason I am leaving this review is that this doctor spent 7 minutes on the phone with me and gave me a professional and not hyped opinion. Futher, she sent me an express registration link to my phone in the event that our situation changed and I needed to bring the cat in. Based on this experience, I would feel very comfortable bringing my cat here in future knowing that my previous experience did not involve pressuring me to come in or making me anxious about what the cat was experiencing. We all know how easy it is to panic when our furbabies are sick and. This practice and company should be very proud that their doctors are professional and provide services as they see necessary - not unnecessarily encouraging people to come in for what, in all likelihood, is a minor issue. THIS is how a good business is run and word of mouth will travel. I will be very happy to encourage my friends and neighbours to use this practice and should the need arise, I will be visiting this practice instead of another urgent care office that my vet is partnered with. Well done.

Experiencia fantástica: I HIGHLY recommend this emergency vet to anyone who needs urgent care for their pet. Everyone here is SO kind, attentive, and truly cares about making sure your animal feels safe and comfortable. We had to bring my dog in two nights in a row because of some complications with a cyst, and both times we were treated with the same level of care and compassion. I want to especially thank Alex, Dr. Lowell, and Dr. Daubert. They were so gentle and patient with my dog and you could tell they really cared about making sure he was actually okay. My dog is usually very anxious when it comes to vet visits, but I could tell he actually felt comfortable around them which says a lot. Both visits were at different times, and the consistency in how we were treated speaks high volume about the kind of staff and environment this place has. It’s hard these days to find an emergency vet where you feel comfortable and confident leaving your pet, but this is that place. I’ve never felt more at peace with knowing my dog was in such good hands. If you ever need emergency care for your pet, I highly recommend coming here. As an owner who was feeling very overwhelmed with the emergencies they not only ensured my dog’s care but also made me feel calm and relaxed during a very stressful time. Thank you to all the staff!

They always made sure he and I were both comfortable at all times. I’m entirely grateful to each of them who helped us. And the staff and doctor specifically tailored his treatment due to his age and sensitivities instead of just using cookie cutter techniques and that meant more to me than anything.

I was completely panicked when I walked in, but the staff immediately calmed me down and took such great care of my pup. Thankfully, he didn’t ingest any of it. Everyone there was so compassionate, gentle, and understanding — and to my surprise, it wasn’t outrageously expensive. I’m so grateful for their kindness and professionalism during such a scary moment. Highly recommend this clinic! Home owners please don’t put rat bait out unless it’s in a lockbox so other animals don’t ingest it ‍♀️

Sadly, my dog died the next day but the passion for their job and the sympathy and comfort they offered us was unmatched. They made a custom size brace for her leg since she was in between sizes they had. They all truly care and it shows. We would prefer not to have to go to the ER with our pets, however if we need to again this will always be our first choice even though we live 30 minutes away. Experiencia fantástica: Our 9 year old cat Francis was hit by a car earlier this evening and we rushed him to VEG. While the outcome was not what we would’ve hoped for, the situation was made infinitely easier for us by the care and communication from Dr. Daubert and the team. I have never seen an open set up like that at any vet and appreciated that we got to be with our boy every step of the way instead of waiting in a lobby while he was whisked away into a secluded room. Dr. Daubert clearly communicated the extent of his injuries and suspected outcome while offering options on further treatment without being pushy one way or another which was huge. Once we made the decision to say goodbye, we were given access to a private room with as much time as we needed to spend with Francis. They accommodated our requests and were supportive of our grief. While I hope I never have to visit VEG again, I find peace in knowing they’re there should I have any pet emergencies in the future. Thank you.

Experiencia negativa: I will never forgive VEG for how they handled my 19-year-old daughter and our dog’s emergency. They completely took advantage of her age and emotional state while our beloved dog was suffering — and it’s beyond unacceptable. On Tuesday, October 7th, our dog began vomiting bile and regurgitating around 5 PM. She wouldn’t eat dinner, which was completely out of character for her. The vomiting became more frequent, and my 19-year-old daughter — scared — took her to VEG around 9 PM. They did x-rays and noted there was some fluid, but then completely dismissed any real concern and cleared our dog as “fine.” No bloodwork or further testing. My daughter even showed them photos of the bile, trying to express her concern that something was really wrong, and they brushed it off without a second thought. By the next morning (October 8th), our dog was clearly deteriorating — she still wouldn’t eat or drink, was lethargic, and now had runny diarrhea. My daughter took her back again, desperately asking for help. Instead of reevaluating the situation with urgency, VEG tried to talk her into doing another x-ray — less than 12 hours after the first, which medically makes no sense — and she had to insist they do bloodwork, which they did, and once again "cleared" her, stating it was probably just acid reflux and causing esophagus irritation and sent her home with GI food and some meds for diarrhea and acid reflux. Before taking our dog back that evening for the third time (I went with my daughter this time because I wasn't working and finally able to join), she had a bowel movement that appeared to contain intestinal lining and leaking bloody mucus from her bottom — an obvious red flag. We showed VEG a picture of it, and again, they brushed it off with no sense of urgency or acknowledgment that this was serious. When we brought our dog back that evening, VEG finally noted “excessive fluid” on x-rays and decided she should be hospitalized overnight for an ultrasound in the morning. By that point, it was painfully clear they were playing catch-up on care that should have happened two visits earlier. We made the decision to transfer her to a different emergency hospital, and it was like night and day. The new team was thorough, compassionate, and immediately communicative, stating that the bloodwork they received from VEG showed our dog's potassium levels were dangerously low. They took the time to explain possible causes, the necessary next steps, and created a clear, comprehensive plan of care — something VEG never did. VEG completely failed our dog and my daughter. They took advantage of a 19-year-old who was scared and grieving, brushing off every valid concern she raised. Their lack of empathy, communication, and clinical judgment is absolutely unacceptable. If you truly love your pet, go anywhere else. VEG might look polished on the outside, but our experience proved that what’s underneath is disorganization, dismissiveness, and dangerous incompetence.

He is so small, 15 lbs, and they were so careful and caring. Dr Lowell made intelligent decisions without delay that saved my boy. She explained everything, was proficient and very patient. Alex was amazing, she soothed our dog with pets and gentle words. She fed him by hand and moved him so very carefully. Every staff member interacted with my dog with LOVE, like he was their dog too, and they did everything in their power to help him. They all displayed intelligence, patience, and support with me and my family and with every person that walked through the door. Every animal is important to them, and treated with care. I HIGHLY recommend VEG Clearwater for their amazing staff and quick, competent care. 10/10.

They were obviously very busy but made us feel as though our Lucy was the only patient in the place and I'm sure made every pet parent feel the same! I'm a human nurse not an animal nurse but her bedside manner was unmatched and I can't thank them enough for making the worst situation such a manageable experience. We bury our animals as we have a large yard, and they wrapped our dog up in a blanket so comfortable looking as if she was simply asleep. My 10 yr old wanted to say goodbye and cried saying "I thought id be scared but she looks so sweet". Thank you VEG for somehow making one of the worst days of my life such a peaceful memory.

Experiencia fantástica: Today was a very difficult day for me. The staff here was wonderful. I didn’t get any of their names. They made putting my baby down a very easy process especially since I was alone. Thank you all for everything today and I couldn’t be thankful enough for the time you all gave me with her.❤️

Experiencia fantástica: Took my dog into the clinic due to him eating a Motrin tablet. He was seen as soon as we walked in the door. They took excellent care of him. Very professional and caring.
