Experiencia positiva: My experience there was fine. I had my male cat and female cat there to get them spayed and neutered. Price was great and from what I could tell, my cats were perfectly fine afterwards. They were sent home with the proper meds and I was told what to do for each of them. Problem is, it took a few questions to get some of the information out of them. Also, about two days after setting up the appointment for each of my cats, I had called back to add microchips for each. The guy on the phone told me he had added it to the total but no chips were put in.

Experiencia negativa: I became a client here on 12/2018. I agree w/ most reviews about the affordable prices I must remind u all, don’t forget u get what u pay for. I want to bring awareness on a traumatic experience I was forced to endure in hopes proper staff training is given so that no owner ever has to go through the unnecessary additional headaches my kids and I did during our time of grief. Had I known the lack of sympathy and office value they stand by I would have preferred to trust my baby elsewhere for her short 5 yrs on earth, their not just our “fur babies” these are our family member. Fast forward to 10/25/2024 I unexpectedly lost my 5 yr old morkie. Being a first time pet owner, I did what any helpless individual would do and went by what I researched. I called vet office for further guidance. I was assisted by a young lady Deja which was helpful and provided me w/ the phone # to pet angels to go over afterlife services and told me can hold my dog for up to 3 days with a $25 fee where pet angels will pick her up from there. I did as directed & took her in. Being that I could not even function properly both my spouse and I drove her to the clinic and he proceeded with going in to complete intake while I waited in the car to endure my last few minutes with her. He came out and handed me the yellow intake form with the reason “private cremation” hand written by Deja which was the option I decided on and was instructed by pet angels to assure I tell the vet office so that when they enter order it’s the correct way Of decomposition. I was told by Deja to look out for an email to make payment. I never received this email. I trusted in the office and the form given however the next day 10/26 @ 3:19 pm I called 408 & semoran to follow up on email status but before I asked about the email I asked for them to go over my order. Per Natalie, it was input in the system as “communal cremation” not private, while this is a cheaper option it’s also (in case your not aware as I was) when they put more than one dog to be cremated at a time. Natalie apologized, voided original order and created a new ticket. I asked her who was responsible for such big mistake that had I not caught in time I would have never had the chance to bring our girls ashes home. Natalie assured me she will look into that portion after correcting everything on file. Monday 10/28 & 8:32 am I received a call from pet angels to follow up as they saw I had not access the page, I told her I had not received any email and upon her checking she realized why, the vet office never put the L for gmaiL.com. She corrected it and within seconds I received the email. In addition she explained while the driver was already in route to that office the next pick up date will be Thursday (10/31) Because of this mistake I had to prolong my anticipation on final goodbyes. I was furious and hurt and reached out newly to this office on 10/28 @ 9:35 am and spoke to Debra in attempt to inform the manager to avoid this escalating to where we are now where I’m forced to publicly call them out so no other owner goes thru this. Debra advised me there was a note on my file from 10/26 (I assume it was input by Natalie) and that the manager Sandra should be getting a hold of me if not any of the other managers before the end of the week. Due to their negligence I had to ask pet angels to call me to provide a description of my pet as after such error I had lost all trust in them. Pet angels made this process easier and did what the office were incompetent of , went out their way, showed compassion and sympathy and did as promised upon receiving my girl on 11/01 at 8:30 am sharp. I’m aware human errors happen and I’m fortunate enough to have caught this one in time but what I can’t wrap my head around is the fact this office has been so careless and unapologetic knowing the error they made that had I not caught would have been irreversible. Word of advice to anyone who goes thru a loss, call pet angels and go thru them directly before leaving this office trusting them to do their job rite.

Experiencia negativa: Note no vet on premises!!! Any vet that works for them was trained in Cuba and bought their license. I asked the vets name and was told Larry Adkins. He has 34 locations and is listed as the vet for all of the locations throughout the southern USA. One vet. I am a vet tech went in with my dog that just needed refills of meds she had been taking for years but my old vet had died. They did tests ,said her liver was bad put her on a med that cost almost $100, whole bill over $400. Did not refill other meds for back injury. Month later I took her to another vet to euthanize her. He talked me out of it, prescribed her old meds and gave her several more years of life. Also he said the liver test was 1 point above normal and needed no treatment. Be careful the person who treated my dog would not answer my questions and only came in room and listened to her heart. Her back was visibly damaged an easy diagnosis
Experiencia fantástica: Went in there for my little puppy girl she needed her routine flea medicine ,rabies shots and check up an appointment two days prior when I showed up on my appointment visit took about an hour is friendly very sweet in the environment with perfect for pets so they’re able to stay calm so if you want a vet that doesn’t use up your time and is very safe. Take your pets here and will treat you and your pets with respect.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been to this clinic two times for my dog's shots. Each time I was seen soon after I arrived for my appointment and felt the service I received was as I expected. My dog was treated well and everyone in the office seemed helpful and knowledgable. They do seem busy so best to book appointments ahead of time. Prices are very reasonable.

Experiencia negativa: I guess I’ll add my experience to the terrible reviews of this animal hospital. I even debated on posting this review because I know it will fall on deaf ears for the business and nothing will change based on the common theme of bad customer service. Hopefully one more 1 star review will make the difference and changes will be made. So, I had an appointment at 3:45pm and I arrived around 3:30pm. At around 4:30pm, after waiting and watching 10+ people check in after me and be called back before me, I asked the receptionist, Brenda, if I could get an estimate of how much longer it would be. I was met with nothing but sheer rudeness as if I was asking an unreasonable question. Without looking anywhere on the desk, she proceeds to tell me with a snarky attitude that my clip board was no longer there and one of the techs has it. I then asked how much longer does it typically take once a tech has it and she said she couldn’t tell me, it all depends on how busy they are. Mind you, people were coming in and going out as I waited. I sat back down and continued to wait. I overhear a woman at 4:40 stating she had a 4:45. That same woman got called back around 5:10pm (remember, my appointment was at 3:45). At that point, I knew something was wrong so I went back to Brenda and politely asked her if she could find which tech has my clip board because there is no way a 4:45pm appointment is called before me. It was at that point she put in the effort to get up and look for it. Low and behold, Brenda never checked me in so I wasted almost 2 hours waiting because of her clerical error. She had no remorse, no apology, nothing but the same rude attitude as if I did something wrong. I was called back by the tech at about 5:20pm and gave her the rundown and she was actually very apologetic. I spoke to the manager at the time which wasn’t Brenda’s. I wanted Brenda’s manager, Debbie, to hear of my terrible experience. However after reading most of the other reviews I know it would have been pointless. I truly hope no one has to deal with it. Please make sure you sign in when you arrive even if the receptionist says you don’t have to. The cheap prices is not worth the terrible customer service.
Experiencia negativa: i had the worst time here. you think you’re saving money but that’s a false comfort. the front desk staff was extremely rude after waiting for an hour for my appointment i made. when asking how much longer, the women with dreads became sooo rude and rolled her eyes at me. every piece of advice i was given for my cat last time was completely contradicted with what i was told this time. this place also needs some real cleaning because of how much dirty and grim is all over the place. all in all there’s plenty of other vets that charge exactly the same without acting like they’re going out of their way to make it affordable.
Experiencia negativa: This has to be the worst animal hospital. (If you can even call it that) It’s filthy. They hadn’t cleaned the room prior to me bringing in my cat. They quickly sprayed some spray on the table and that was “ cleaning the room” it seems like they have so many employees but you’re there for at least 2 to 3 hours for a check up. I was treated very poorly due to the poor communication on their end and I would never go back or recommend anyone going there.

Experiencia negativa: Don’t take your pets there. They used to care and they would be cost effective and they would tell you what was wrong now they ask you for tests and more tests and don’t give you neither medicine for your pet nor a solution. The vet can barely get up saying he had hip replacement and he examined my cat for ONE minute exactly and was telling the tech how much for this and how much for that, $5 to trim one nail, they charged me $293 for tests that on paper said $250. Whatever it is my cat has I still don’t have an answer and she’s eating less with no medication whatsoever instead they want X-rays, fine then what? XRays don’t say if she has an infection. They used to charge $40 per visit now $50, they used to allow walk ins and charge $5 for rabies shots and now you have to make an appointment and they charge you $10… these are money hungry veterinarians that care less about the well being of the animal and more about their bottom line. I need medication for my cat I need a plan to make her better not wait till she dies while they ask for tests.

Experiencia fantástica: I have gone to many different vets. The fancy expensive ones, the "specialists" but my favorite one for the last few years is Semoran & 408 Pet Doc Hospital. All the employees are professional and kind. The prices are reasonable and they take good care of your pets. They are part of Low Cost Pet Hospitals and before I went to this one, I lived in Groveland and went to the one in Mascotte and it was also great. You don't need a fancy building and decorations to give great veterinary care.

Prices are very reasonable in comparison to other vet hospitals that might look fancier but will be spending quite a lot more for the same service.

Experiencia negativa: I bring my Labrador to this vet and all they wanted was my money, they gave him pills and said he would be fine, I went back many time with the same problem, anyway I decided to bring him somewhere else and bring his records with me and the vet at lake Underhill animal hospital asked me, if they told me that he had cancer, they never even told be, the 408 pet hospital is only out to take as much money off of you as they can, if you love your pet like I do please stay away from these scumbags and find a real vet not a blood suckers at the 408.

Everytime I come here there is an issue from horrible customer service at the front desk with Gloria, she has a horrible attitude extremely unprofessional, to the hidden fees outside of what they quote you for the procedure. The lack of complete information especially when you've called multiple times to verify what was needed. They charge you despite your pet already Having records i have been coming here for 5 years and this will be our last visit here I would rather pay full price at the dr Phillips pet hospital at least there they do more than stick a thermometer in my fur baby and call that an exam and charge for it. A Shame because you shouldn't have to choose between cost efficient care & having a a good customer service experience at the expense of my pet. Seeing that it was already hard enough to leave her there for surgery then I have ms.Unprofessional (Gloria) at the front desk trying to bait me into a argument because I voiced my concerns she's very antagonistic. Shouldn't the employees there be trying to make It a calming and reassuring environment for both your pets and yourself because if this is how you handle me I can only imagine my fur baby. With that being said I'd rather go where they aren't talking to your crazy and running your pockets at every corner On top of the fact I paid for my fur baby to be spayed and they called me to tell me she was pregnant and asked how I wanted them to proceed I told them to wait because I wanted to be sure they were talking about my indoor cat who has never been around another cat. Only for me to get there and the dr had her utteurus in her hand talking about which vain shouldn't be that big only to find out it wasn't a pregnancy but an infection, how more traumatizing can this experience get smh. My time here wasn't always this bad but this was the final straw for me.

Experiencia negativa: I call 2 times before coming then nobody was on the front desk for more than 15 minutes, I call to check if somebody go out and nothing happen, I call again inside the hospital and finally somebody answer just to tell me they have appointments for February first, my puppy of 3 months can’t wait a month for get his first vaccines, I think this is not what people believe if you need to wait that long for get an appointment, in that period any pet could die for something like worms. If I could give a 0 star for the poor service that the rate I wish I could put here…

Experiencia negativa: Our dog has been visiting this location for 7 years. As an emergency happened we tried to have our dog seeing as fast as possible with no luck. They don’t have a walk in for emergencies and they tried to make an appointment for around 3 weeks down the road. No consideration for the emergency. Still expecting a call back from the office manager. As Brianna W. Says, these people are mainly for money not for the care of your love one. Why would you have them as your vet. I have no comment about the cat because he never lets us know what he's thinking except that he's the king lol. But this vet clinic is down to earth, cares about your pets and the prices are the same as when this doctor graduated back in the '60s. I was so very impressed and thankful. And so where are three critters.

Experiencia positiva: I was sitting my son's dogs and one of them got bit by something and got welts all over. To make a long story short after calling several veterinarian they told me to come in. They examined him and they said that he was allergic to what ever he was bit by, they gave him a shot and my bill was around a hundred and twenty considering it was an emergency visit. Office and doctor was very helpful. Would highly recommend

Then I received a call from an employer giving me the chance to interview that same day and called to cancel or reschedule my pets appointment. They want to charge me a 10 per pet fee even if I have told them I am unemployed and this interview was scheduled by the employer after my appointment confirmation. Please give me a break. They lost a long time customer for $30.00.

I went in because of my dog uno and Moises C was so helpful and truly appreciated as-well as the female veterinarian was amazing . most people there speak spanish and english so thats also a plus . would totally recommend if u dont have pet insurance there prices are very reasonable. Dr. David was very knowledgeable, fast, and caring towards my pet treatment. Thanks for such a wonderful young professional. 12/23/2022 Bad news Dr David is not working at this location. I took my cat to be check for a bad skin irritation. Brought my son's -in law dog to have a heartworm test. Arrived early. We saw the vet 1 1/2 hours later. Was it worth the wait NO. He could even examine my cat. They said will be $500 for a biopsy. No medicine available. Returned today to pick up a shampoo for my dog. The clerk, Gloria was very rude on the phone. When I arrived they only have 3 people waiting to see vet. She again was rude and told me to sit and wait just to buy the shampoo. She also refused to give a copy of my son's -in law dog visit which I paid for. The service at this location went from great to HORRIBLE.

Rather than tell me what happened, I was left in the dark up until today when I called to find out what the hell was going on. Things don't seem to be properly documented either...I'm disappointed & they need to do better.
Experiencia negativa: The vet tech we had was very nice and we didn’t have to wait too long to go into a room. Once we finally got to see the doctor we had to go into a different room to see him which I thought was strange until I saw him. He didn’t even say hello or stand from the chair he was sitting in and he barely even looked at our cat. I would not recommend Dr. Karl Achenbach.
Experiencia negativa: Emotionally traumatized from this place. My dog had a cyst on his side that needed to be removed and we kept trying to make an appointment with Dr. Adkins here—he kept pushing us off for weeks after we explained the urgency of the situation (the cyst was quite gross looking and clearly bothering our dog.) FINALLY we get to see him and he tells us that the surgery is inoperable because our boy’s heart is too big due to heart disease (he’s never been diagnosed with HD before), and that the cyst is actually a terminal cancer that has spread to his lungs and that he has roughly 2 months left to live. Of course we were HEARTBROKEN, emotionally preparing ourselves to have to put our dog down soon. Just to be safe we got a second opinion from Winter Park Veterinary Hospital and they told us that A) our dog’s heart is fine, B) nothing has spread to his lungs, and C) he recommends doing the surgery immediately as things have the potential to go bad (but haven’t yet.) Imagine if we had taken Dr Adkins advice, our dog might have died due to negligence, not an inoperable cancer. I am very glad we didn’t follow his lead, and never have to again. I recommend you don’t either.
Experiencia negativa: I made appointments for both of my dogs over the phone for heartworm testing, trifexis, and rabies. I also made an exam for one that I was concerned had an ear infection. The vet never once looked in her ears and told me it was allergies despite her rarely ever scratching her ears. After both dogs were done I asked for the trifexis to be price matched with 1800 pet meds. I was told that they couldn’t match the price because it didn’t cover their cost for the medication so I told them it was fine and that I would buy it online. I was then informed that I needed an office exam for my other dog since I wanted the trifexis prescription (which wasn’t an issue when they thought I was buying it through them). So I had to bring one dog back inside for the vet to look at and pay another $40. He never once touched him. Didn’t look in his eyes ears or mouth. Fumbled his stethoscope onto my dogs left scapula for less than two seconds and told me his heart and lungs sounded fine…right… I kept getting emails from 1800 pet meds saying the prescriptions were not verified so when I called a few days later they told me I never paid the $6 fee for the prescriptions…another cost that was never told to me during my appointment making or at check out. They have a high volume of patients but poor customer service or integrity.
Experiencia negativa: I have no words or tears left! Please do us all the honor and get rid of Dr. Karl or shut this place down. After several visits with concerns regarding my dog having fevers, and after Dr. Karl just poked around my dog and wiggled his flash light, the man wouldn’t say a word, let alone is he in any condition to even stand up while doing an exam. He is hard of hearing, and no matter how loud you speak with questions or concerns, he doesn’t respond. The techs have to repeat everything you say to him to make sure he heard. Dr. Karl is in no condition to see or treat animals when he himself looks like he belongs in a nursing home. Dr. Atkins is never available, always sick or some “valid” reason why he is always MIA. After trying to address my dogs fever since September 2022, in which I had to ask for medication for my dogs ear infection, because Dr. Karl didn’t offer. My dog eventually ended up with seizures, and I had to take him to Oviedo animal hospital. They did all they could to treat my dog. They treated him for meningitis, seizures and an ear infection, when Dr. Karl just kept sending me home. He’s completely useless! My dog has since declined and now has dementia after several seizures. He just turned 4, and we are now having to put him down as he doesn’t respond to his name or normal commands like before. The only good thing I can say is that the techs, and reception are all good people, doing their best and taking calls from angry/concerned pet owners because their “Doctors” are completely useless! Shut this place down or find someone who can actually perform on their feet when giving an exam to animals. Someone who cares. Someone who will give you feedback and make suggestions and send you home with some answered questions!
Experiencia negativa: Cancelled my appointment same day after I took my day off and drove 50 mins to get there and appointment I made almost 2 months ago. Can’t do any accommodations on my schedule time. They have lack of communication and don’t care about their customers. And this is not the first thing that happens to me in this place. When I got my Simba for check up and vaccinations as I was checking out they said the doctor left and did not signed my certificate that I had to come back for it another day. Like really?? I don’t live 5 mins from here. Then today this. This is totally a let down. And let’s talk about the wait time. You never get to be seen at the appointment time. Expect to be seen 1 hour later and overall be there for a least 3 hours.
Experiencia positiva: I was about to give 3 stars but my stars are for the technician, she was very nice and attentive, she knows what she is doing, I went to this vet for first time and not even a good morning from the doctor, he was very cold with animals and customers, he was just sitting there to sign papers, technicians practically doing everything, I’m a health worker as well and my Dr and I would never treat patients like that, he don’t even look at you to tell you about your pet, the assistant is the one that give you the info in front of him because he barley talk, very disappointed about my first Experience! Good job for the technicians and good luck for them dealing with that..
Experiencia negativa: I had an extremely bad experience here. I took my husky to get checked because her eye has been very red and irritated. The doctor barely looked at her and just gave her eye drops. Once we gave her the eye drops it did nothing and didn’t see a difference. Soon after we were able to notice that she actually had worms in her eye. The doctor didn’t even try to check her eye or anything. it was a waste of time and money.
Experiencia negativa: I get that it's a low cost clinic & you can expect a wait time, but I don't think 3 people who came in the door after me should've been placed in line ahead of me because I had to fill out clipboards with information they should've already had... They also had a SHRIEKING dog in there so I waited outside for an hour. While outside I witnessed the Dr pull in to the clinic, an elderly man who needed help transferring into a wheelchair, and they had a young man come out to assist who visibly scoffed at the Dr as he was coming outside! Disgusting attitude from that staff member. Whole place had a very disrespectful tone
Experiencia positiva: Good vet service at a good price. At times, they may be slow to see my pets, but are very understanding and have worked with my reactive dog to receive his yearly vaccinations ( including rabies) and heartworm test. The vaccinations and heartworm test was $55 each for my 75 lb dogs! Try to find THAT price at a regular vet!
Experiencia fantástica: Had to put my elder dog to rest today. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were so kind and understanding, letting us grieve with him before he had to go. It was so hard to do this but they made it easier for us. Thank you.
Experiencia fantástica: Great service not a lot a chair should only be the person taking the dog going not friends fam etc. I was standing and sat on the floor more than an hour but the doctor was great service was great.
Experiencia fantástica: We love Semoran 408 Animal Hospital!! Took my frenchie Hoss here for a neuter and the staff treated him so well. After his surgery he was still a little out of it but the nurses and Doctor reassured me that he was going to be okay. They did such an amazing job!! Later I brought my other frenchie Kinsey because she wasn’t feeling like herself! Again, the Doctor and vet technician were very helpful and explained everything to me. We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and will always be loyal clients. Thank you to the staff for their hard work and dedication to helping animals.

Experiencia fantástica: Excelente atención de la Dra. Ochoa y sus asistentes (Juan y Mimi especialmente) son muy cuidadosos y amorosos con nuestros peluditos. La Dra Ha sido una bendición aquí ya q nos explica tratamiento y es muy amable. Gracias siempre ????????????????????

Experiencia fantástica: Great place. Great customer service. I always go with my furry babies. Xiomara and Sam did great with all the family we visit the office with 3 dogs and 3 cats and they were amazing.
